Maleficarum looks pretty good, but it's way too expensive currently for my tastes. I mean, I could technically afford it, but I generally don't spend that much on entertainment.

Way too expensive? We had this discussion before the movie came out. I said then that $44.99 for a DVD was on the high end. That was before I realized that the download, which automatically burns onto a blank DVD at the same time you're downloading it, is the exact same thing quality-wise. So knowing that, you can knock $10 off and make it $34.99. Let me ask you, is $34.99 an unreasonable price to pay for a high-quality fetish movie?

Earlier you reviewed a couple movies and made the comment "I wouldn't recommend paying any actual money to see either." One can interpret that a few ways; it's none of my business if you only seek out free stuff off the net. Lots of people do. So if you're used to paying nothing, anything you pay for is going to be more than you usually spend on entertainment, right? You just have to decide if it's worth it to actually pay for something this time.

But this "way too expensive" talk has me intrigued. Canadian dismissed it in his wrap-up as "pricey". This was after he was offered a free DVD by a member of this board and still turned it down. It was FREE! The only way I turn down a free DVD (which I have done before) is if I don't want to see the movie. Bottom line. I have no problem if someone doesn't want to see the film. It's a torture-filled movie and that's not going to ring everyone's bell. Canadian probably wouldn't like the movie and that's perfectly fine. But to use the excuse that it would cost him too much doesn't exactly hold water, does it? Why not just admit you don't want to see it?

Thinking about your own situation, how much would you be willing to spend in one month on fetish entertainment, whether it be DVDs, downloads, memberships, etc? How much is too much for you?

And guys, just be honest. If the answer is nothing, you won't pay anything for entertainment or can't afford it, then say that, too. No one is judging you, we're just trying to get a well-rounded consensus.

My personal answer is that I seldom ever buy memberships, but I think $20 is reasonable for those. On DVD's, I would pay around $30, but I would go into the $40 range if it's something I really want to see. I've done that many times. Sometimes it was worth it, sometimes it wasn't. The rape videos that sold for $40 apiece from Hardcore Abductions weren't worth it. The ZFX DVD I bought recently in the $30 range was. I don't buy that many DVDs because honestly, there's not a lot out of material out there that I really want to see.

How about the rest of you? There's no right or wrong answer except to not answer at all. So take 5 minutes and give us your opinion. The producers who read this forum would probably be interested in knowing what you think, too.

As far as what my views are on filesharing, well, people probably know by now. I've posted them several times here. I do believe in supporting artists whose work you enjoy, though. Generally speaking though I don't view the problems associated with internet copyright as "good" or "bad", just as an evolution that people are going to have to adjust to. Akin to how the internet affected video, for example, or in turn how video affected adult theaters.

And I'm a collector. If I see something I really like, I'll still buy the disc. In fact, if there were a reasonable way for me to get my hands on original DVD copies of some of my favorite Japanese films, I would prefer that route. But I don't think the option exists.

Renzo Novatore has done a good job making the point about buying unseen movies. Right now, the minimum cost to see Maleficarum, even if it's only for a one-time viewing, is $35. Is that "pricey" for two hours of movie entertainment? You betcha.

In the past, I'd have no problem spending over $100 a month on GIMP-related material. But times have definitely changed in my life, especially the priorities for my finances.

Nowadays, I might go as high as $20 a month, but even that figure is shrinking. I haven't bought a membership to anything recently as nothing new has really rung my bell and there's just so much legitimitely (not file-sharing) free stuff out there to satisfy my needs.

I've also found that as I get older, my preferences are becoming even more strict and specific. For example, I used to tolerate big tattoos on women, but now even the small ones make me hit the stop button. And if there's no gag in a trailer or the promotional pics, I won't even bother exploring further. This mind-set really limits the opportunities to spend--and the opportunities to be totally disappointed in my purchases, which had become way too frequent.

If anything, I now pay more for stuff like editing programs, external hard drives, etc. to manage and play with the mountain of GIMPage I've collected over the decades.

I spent $40 on DVDs from Hardcore Abductions that were disappointing. My desire to watch a specific model (Delila Darling) outweighed both my doubt that the DVD would be exceptional and my judgement that $40 was a lot to pay for a DVD. The DVD was not exceptional, and $40 was too much to pay, but I increased my Delila Darling collection so it did not feel like a mistake so much as a nagging sense of overpaying.

I have also spent $40-$45 on Powershotz DVDs. I never feel like I have paid too much, but my sense of wanting to get the most for my money always conflicts me. I like specific Powershotz models, and I would really like to buy a DVD that features one of my favorite models, or even two of my favorite models. Unfortunately, with a couple of notable exceptions, the DVDs feature two or three models, and I only like one of them.

My idea of a great Powershotz DVD is something like the recently released for download Second Interview (PZV-119) which was all Shelena and Bryce for $40. In that instance, though, I had purchased the individual scenes previously and I couldn't really justify spending more money on something I already had. I did buy Hoosier Daddy (starring only Delila Darling in a feature length adventure) on DVD for $45 and it was worth every penny.

One of the aspects of the Powershotz site I like is the opportunity to purchase and download specific scenes, in most cases long enough and stimulating enough to be worthwhile, for relatively low prices ($2-$18). Plus, since there are good descriptions and vidcaps, I can make an informed decision prior to purchase. It doesn't hurt that I like the standard Powershotz fare (I know there are many who do not), and I am confident that I know what I am getting. The biggest uncertainty is the camera work, which varies from production to production, but is, at worst, only annoying and never (to date) out-and-out-disappointing.

I have also joined subscription sites in the past, but once again I have specific tastes in what I like, and I do not like just any model or just any bondage or bondage sex situation. So if there are, say, four updates a month, and I don't much care for any of the models, or maybe just one or two at the most, I feel like I am paying for something I am not enjoying. Neither Kink nor Dungeon Corp--nor even Powershotz--do it for me on a consistent enough basis any more for me to maintain a membership.

Bottom Line: If I have the money, I will take a chance if I know enough about it to be reasonably sure it is good. I generally draw the line at $20, though, unless I have high confidence that it will be sensational. That's definitely the upper limit for my favorite big budget Hollywood movies. A terrific niche movie gets greater consideration, but money is money.

Vidcaps are good but you need to see the whole movie to understand that there is no sleazy, and it's not a fetish bondage film; but a drama of two women who are willing to die for each other. Heroone only sees this film as a mainstream movie that pushes that envelope not seen since the Story of O 1975. The Poll question, how much would I spend on GIMP material: It depends. I don't have a lot of spare cash at the moment, so not very much. In general, I'm very much a cheapskate when it comes to spending money on such things. Typically, I don't care for the 'fake' fetish films where it's all just acting, because they're usually not very convincing. I watched a couple ZFX videos a few years ago and they did absolutely nothing for me. I don't even remember what the titles were, all I remember is a silly looking electro-torture scene that I think had animated electricity effects and a supposed rape scene with a painfully obvious rubber penis and no closeups. If I'm going to watch a film where the action is all faked, it needs to be realistic to hold my interest. I don't want to be reminded that it's just a bunch of people play-acting.

I much prefer 'real' fetish videos where the action is, for the most part, actually being carried out. Real whipping, real spanking, real electricity, etc. Even if the level of intensity doesn't match what can be depicted with fake torture scenes.

That said, most 'real' fetish videos don't live up to expectations either. I've read the descriptions of various videos on the net and most of them give new meaning to the word "exaggeration". "Torture" = mild discomfort. "Screams" = surprised squeek. "Blistered bottom" = slightly pink skin. Of course that doesn't apply to all videos, and thankfully there are several companies today that actually produce fairly hard videos. Still, I can't help thinking of one spanking tape that I bought based on the preview images and which had the actresses literally being TAPPED with a ping-pong paddle. I've seen birthday spankings that were harder than that!

Having said all that, I would like to buy the DVD of Maleficarum, as it looks well acted and I'm a sucker for realistic scenes of medieval torture. Unfortunately, I have no idea where to go to actually buy the DVD as the link at the top of this site only seems to be for the download. As I have an older system, whatever format this comes in probably wouldn't work for me. I also don't have a credit card. Yes, I know that's strange in this day and age, but I just never got one. Is there any way that I can order a copy of the DVD and pay via a check?

But now a question. I try to contact Video Mayhem company because very interested in their videos (Attackers, etc). But I receive no answer.

My question to them was if they also could provide download of their videos ? This would be easier for me (us) to acquire those videos.

I (we) know that companies do it so ... no problem with customs etc. Maybe I miss something but if someone could help me ??

Poll question - there is no limit - being a collector like A Canadian if it looks interesting I get it - needless to say that leads to much disappointment but an enormous collection - and I do a lot of "binge spending" on Gimp related material - this month I plan to blow about $500.00 either on film or MAMS issues or a combo - not wealthy by any means but have always lived old school in that if I can't pay cash I don't get it - I owe no one anything except the government and their confiscatory taxation - so I guess I'm one lucky Gimper.

I don't know the situation in Belgium. But I can tell you I have never had any problem in Canada when it comes to receiving DVD discs from Video Mayhem.

Larry sends the discs in an envelope that identifies the discs as "computer discs." I think the Customs officials in Canada are afraid to check them, fearing the discs could have viruses that will crash their system.

In any event, I have ordered discs from Video Mayhem for more than four years now and my packages have always arrived.

I'm glad it looks like everyone had a good New Year's celebration and we're all back safe on the board.

If I can catch something on Netflix streaming and check it out before buying, I can sometimes avoid a foolish purchase. Then I congratulate myself by buying something else.

Since there has been some discussion about the cost of buying Maleficarum, let me share my reasons for pulling the trigger on that one:

Most of the stuff I buy falls into the vintage grindhouse/cult genre (which can often be frustrating and expensive). But occasionally I see an opportunity to land a big fish for, say $9-$12. That represents the price for a few good scenes in a movie whose overall quality can be hit-or-miss.

Maleficarum is a movie that - as a conservative guess - is about 80% pure GIMPage. That means a 90-minute running time would yield 72 minutes of GIMP. Well, at $36 (for the download to own), that comes to 50 cents per minute of GIMP. Or to put it another way, a dollar gets you two minutes.

That seems competitive with streaming GIMP sources, which may run 50 cents per minute (such as Powershotz) to one dollar per minute. Plus you get to keep the Maleficarum disk.

Now I'm not here to sell Maleficarum - it seems to be doing fine without my help - nor am I arguing against those who may be hesitant to buy it.

I'm just saying that for me - especially as someone who likes racking and whipping - it seems like money well spent, and I'm happy with my purchase.

Since my comments from the Year in Review were mentioned in the preamble to the poll question, I guess I've become something of an unofficial spokesman for the "renter" class. But I'm fully on board with YikYakker's point. My comments apply to me and whether or not I think it's worth it to spend that kind of money on a movie. As long as you're not using my credit card, I don't really care what the rest of you do.

Besides, I suspect ornery ol' Jeremiah Johnson was on to something yesterday. On the question of whether or not to buy Maleficarum, I doubt there are many undecided voters left. Those who want to buy it have probably already done so. Those who don't either aren't interested or are waiting for the movie to become available for renting.

More than once I have made the mistake of thinking that the people who post on the GIMP forum are representative of the forum readership at large--which may or may not be true. But what is not true is that the people who post are the only ones who read the forum. Also, by extension, the people who read the forum today (The Lurkers) are not all the same people who will be reading it next month, or even last month. I feel confident that discussions regular readers have rehashed over and over are being read for the first time by someone. It is even possible that someone navigated to the web site for the very first time today and started reading, then thought to himself (or herself): "Whoa! What's this Maleficarum thing all about? How could I have not known about this sooner?" Or, you know, words to that effect.

Jeremiah Johnson might be tired of reading about it, but I do think Maleficarum has proven a Significant Event in the world of GIMP in general and the forum in particular. It has spawned discussions, poll questions, debates and complaints. It has kept things lively.

My point is this: There will always be newbies discovering the forum and our own, um, eclectic GIMP community for the first time who deserve to know what's going on without having to search the archives. So the next time you read the same comment, question, or observation for the umpteenth time, remember that someone is just now reading it for the first time. There might actually even be someone who has not heard of Maleficarum before this, and has yet to make up his (or her) mind about it. The forum has a moderately dynamic readership.

That said, I do think we all pretty much know what the regular forum posters each think about Maleficarum.

I haven't seen the video but the impaled woman is already dead before they cook her, which obviously takes away all the fun. The only time they did the roasting illusion with a live woman was in The Ranch, which has a couple of reviews on this site. That film, incidentally, was one of the inspirations for Jane's roasting scene in Maleficarum. We designed the rotisserie she was tied to on the same design they used in this movie.

Absolutely. And we were aware of it from conception through production and then finally to its release to near unanimous positive acclaim. Historically, it's an important film because the tortures of the Inquisition have never been shown in a more explicit fashion from beginning to end in a feature film. And despite the drunken ramblings of an idiot who's never contributed a meaningful post to this forum, no one is pushing the movie down anyone's throat. People are talking about it, myself included, because it's a good movie.

There's an old Canadian saying that goes something like this: Ya snooze, ya lose.

There may very well be a few stragglers who haven't checked into the forum in months and are only now learning about Maleficarum. But we have no idea who those people are (if they exist) and I don't know why we would care about them. Frankly, they've already missed the promotional stills from the movie and Ralphus' and Eda's reviews. I suppose they could find the reviews in the Reviews section but I suspect they're not that engaged.

I still feel comfortable predicting the majority of GIMPers who might be open to buying (rather than renting) Maleficarum have already made up their minds.

I have a $6 per month subscription to DarkFetishNet. Other than that, I'm in a situation where I can't spend much on any kind of porn. As it is, I'm about 3 or 4 videos behind on JohnM clips. If and when I recover, I'll spend $20 to $40 per month, almost all of it on Death Fetish.

I have to say I agree. I guess that's where the boundary between reality and fantasy blurs and all it did for me was confirm in my own mind what I already knew. I prefer the unreal to the real.

I don't remember ordering it. I have not yet viewed; maybe tonight, but soon. And I don't know if any of my fellow GIMPers have already done a review. I have not checked the archives yet, too lazy i quess.

The backcover saids that Cecilia becomes a victim of her servants whom she herself have already victimized. Sounds GIMPy to me and something that might make a decent review. Maybe something like the soon to be released "Sirwiñakuy", but the victim there is tormented by a total stranger.

The Ralphus Awards did raise an interesting point. When it comes to Japanese porn producers, I'm not sure we pay as much attention to CineMagic as perhaps we should.

MeetThePryz is more of an Attackers guy, I'm all over the map (but favor Attackers), and others like Elkcreek and Dr. Yuya are into Giga and similar companies. But you don't hear much about the CineMagic films.

One of the challenges with that company's films is it is difficult to tell from the DVD covers if the movies are nonconsensual (And I consider movies where a woman is fantasizing about rape and torture to be consensual. It's her dream, dammit.). Still, the company does produce some stuff that is clearly intended to look nonconsensual. It would be interesting to know if others have any CineMagic recommendations.

By the way, Travis, it's good to hear from you. I hope you noticed Ralphus has added some video caps to the reviews of some of your most important movies, such as South of the Border 4.

When I read A Canadian's "mainstream producer" line I thought of producers who stick to what is safe and vanilla for the most part. Michael Goi works on 'tween TV series and seemed to me to protest too much that he was making a "message movie" and even said, to my way of thinking, that he had no intention of making a movie that appealed to GIMPers even though he appreciated the attention. It was a skillful phrase that managed to carefully avoid damning us with faint praise. I don't expect any more daring GIMPish movies from him because he is definitely "mainstream" by my definition.

I don't see "mainstream" as having higher production values, or more professional casts and crew, or really anything that sets it apart as superior. It is just a safer production, designed to make as few waves as possible while making as much money as possible. That's why I only went to see two movies in all of 2011.

I don't know that that is what he meant, but that was my interpretation.

If it helps, I'll explain what my comment about the "mainstream producer" meant.

If you go through the list of Notable Guests to the forum, you will see that almost every person on the list is either a producer or star of adult films, or a graphic artist who creates erotic material. Even Jane von Detlefson is listed as a bondage actress/producer (and that description was written by Ralphus, not me). The only exception on the list is, um, Bill Zebub.

To the best of my knowledge at the time (and I didn't make any effort to check), Michael Goi is known for mainstream works, not porn or adult fare. That makes him somewhat unique as a notable guest to this forum, and that was all I was getting at.

I don't think anyone in the notable guests page are mainstream producers. They're all low budget to no budget, independent filmmakers. And there's nothing wrong with that! Jason Whitman (aka John Blakemore) being one of my personal favorites.

Wow. That's not my view at all. Remember you were new to this forum at one time. John Galt and YikYakker have only been here 3 years. Fritz only a couple of years. I'm just naming the ones who are fairly visible. We do get new people here all the time. 5 years ago we averaged around 600 hits a day. By last year we had doubled that to 1249. In the first 3 days of this year, we're averaging well over 1500 hits. This site is more popular every year and unless it's the same old people stopping by multiple times, those new people do exist and I do care about them. Most we'll never hear from but you never know which of those newbies might turn out to a regular contributor.

At the very least, I hope they have a good time when they stop by and enjoy what we can offer. If they find out about good movies based on this site, I'll have accomplished my goal. That's why we have the archives and the reviews saved because stuff scrolls off every day. I always get a kick out someone saying they are new here and they've been reading the archives and discovered this or that.

I'm not the subtle type. If I want to take a shot at someone, I do it directly. The only belittling in my original post was aimed at one person: (Bill Zebub). Although maybe I need to reconsider, as it appears Jesus Christ: The Total Douchebag won unanimous approval at its advance screening.

Jesus Christ: The Total Douchebag? That's typical of Zebub, a guy who goes out of his way to give his stuff outrageous titles designed to create controversy, but who possesses only a thimbleful of talent and doesn't really "get" his audience or even make an attempt to. When he was a regular here he liked to portray himself as a visionary artist but everybody saw right through him, and his films have been consistently awful. The past few years, I've given him a derisive tribute by naming the worst film of the year after him. When a movie gets the Bill Zebub Award, that's the sign that it's a real stinker.

I don't think anyone in the notable guests page are mainstream producers.

I stand corrected. I was using "mainstream" to refer to people who aren't making "adult" content but it clearly has a more specific meaning.

This is always a very difficult one to define because in truth it is totally subjective and to a most extraordinary and extreme extent too.

To me, most straight thinking people would find pictures of people having been truly murdered, hanged or beheaded disturbing. I have encountered such sights surfing dubious areas of the net and they have left me feeling not sick, not even disturbed exactly, but certainly disquieted. I mean an extraordinarily vile picture of two heads, both with penises in their mouths. Now it may have been a fake, but it was intended to be taken as real.

Why would somebody want to see such a vile sight? I stand in support of no censorship, I feel I am big enough and ugly enough to say for myself whether I want to see something or not and that includes the above. The thing that puzzles me is that there may be people that DO want to see such horrors. Now surely by any definition, that's horror and that's pornographic voyeurism of the most base kind. However, if it floats anybodies boat...then that's their problem.

But beyond that, the definition of what is porn and not will be very subtle. There are those that would have it that the Story of 'O' was porn. In fact I would set it as more of an art film. Yes it had a great deal of gimp interest, but it was shot in an extraordinarily evocative and beautiful way. Even the soundtrack was superb when viewing the onscreen events. From beginning to end an art film...to me!

Texas Chainsaw Massacre was to me porn. It dealt with the ugly side of plainly wanting to maim and kill purely for the sake of it. No raison d'etre, no point in the story beyond 'they're going to die' to my mind garbage. Yet there were many that applauded the film. It left me cold, bored and just a little sick.

So is a film that depicts graphic torture porn? Like for instance 'The Passion of the Christ'. I found the torture scene in that really pretty appalling. The only caveat I could put on that is disturbingly, I don't think I would have had it been a women being scourged.

So like beauty, porn and art are in the eye of the beholder. They are always changing and often very subtly. Even a single individual can be puzzled by what they consider art on the one hand and porn on the other without a readily identifiable distinction between the two.

It may be no more than this I like it so it's art, maybe even porn art, but has merit despite or because of that.

This I don't like so it's pure porn and turns me off.

From what I have seen and indeed have read about Maleficarum, it goes way beyond the mere torture of two women. Of course it has graphic depictions of those events and glory be for that, but it also deals with the love of the two victims for each other and to some extent I imagine, the socio-political inertia that would let two innocents suffer as they did. So now we are back to the passion of the Christ again.

As I said, it's very subjective and nothing more. Nobody can be fully right or wrong on such a point.

The problem is we don't know what the lurkers are interested in. Maybe it's Maleficarum. Maybe not.

Maybe the new lurkers have just discovered ZFX and Lisa Kinkaid.

I do think people have had plenty of time to learn about Maleficarum. If we want the site to be welcoming to newcomers, my recommendation would be to keep the discussions lively. And that's something that's determined by the people who post comments, not the lurkers.

What Texas Chainsaw Massacre did you see, because The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) has little on-screen violence, and what is shown is not meant to "titillate" the viewer.

(There's an entire theme exploring the mental health and psychological balance of "religious" people who faithfully and enthusiastically worship an icon depicting the brutal agony of a man crucified on a cross day in and day out, but I won't go there. I like GIMP because it turns me on. I shudder to think what pleasure crucifix worshippers derive from the image.)

Using the word "porn" is a de facto admission of... complicity, for lack of a better word. Porn is erotica (or violence, or torture) that someone, somewhere doesn't like. I am a big fan of GIMP erotica. Like Greg, I would also have been less put off by a scene identical to the scourging in Passion of the Christ instead featuring a hot naked female. I'm not sure I would have been completely enamored with the scene, since I am not that into torture, but it would have been more palatable. I would have derived some perverse GIMPish pleasure in seeing it. What did the moviegoers who watched Passion of the Christ derive from that scene? That might come closer to my definition of "pornography."

It has been a while since I saw the original 1974 Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but I have vivid memories of a girl being thrust onto a meathook hanging from the ceiling, and the disembowling of a guy in a wheelchair with a chainsaw, just to name two scenes of on-screen violence. It was a masterpiece of horror film making, and I agree with you that it was not titillating, although I could argue that there was some phallic imagery in the meathook-impaling scene. But that might just be me.

The second series of the BBC's Sherlock aired earlier this week and introduced Irene Adler (played by the beguiling Lara Pulver)... as a professional dominatrix. Irene Adler was an actress in the original Arthur Conan Doyle short story, "A Scandal in Bohemia," which I suppose at that time was just as scandalous. Sadly, we just get to see her briefly wielding a whip as she walks into a room where she has a female member of the Royal Family tied spreadeagled to a bed, and then fully nude for her initial meeting with Sherlock Holmes. Not much on the GIMP scale, but then you shouldn't expect much for a show airing in a non post-watershed time slot. I understand the nude scenes have already resulted in angry calls to the BBC. Come on, people. She was discretely covered up. You Brits are staring to sound like... Americans.

You're absolutely right; according to Scribbler's definition page it's more like an Independent film, or in this case, a "No budget film". I wrote in my review that it's clearly a student film. Unfortunately, there's really no classification for independent films so I felt it worked best under Mainstream.

BTW, as the years go by, this film keeps getting better and better in comparison to almost everything else I see. It's this hidden little gem that practically no one has seen, but it has a sense of meanness that you just don't find in movies anymore.

Totally off-topic, but my computer monitor just went bad and I had to replace it with a widescreen one. It's just so darn large (20 inches) it's like going to a theatre and sitting in the front row, since I'm just a foot or two away from it. The text is stretched out so it looks unnatural. Pictures look weird, e-mail looks weird, the site looks weird. I think I made a big mistake buying this. Anybody else prefer the old-fashioned 4:3 aspect ratio of the standard monitors? Everything is all widescreen in the stores. I don't think widescreen is necessary for the Internet unless you're watching movies or gaming, of which I do almost none. I mainly read. Am I alone here in my disdain for this widescreen gimmick?

I have to chuckle a bit when I read how some folks consider a $40 or $50 DVD too expensive for this sort of thing. Am I the only one who was around in the mid 1980's buying VHS tapes for $70 to $100? Yes, that is twice the price of today's premium DVDs, adding in 25 years of inflation, for a far less specialized product of much lower quality. I remember spending over $400 in some long-gone sleaze box on 42^nd Street for five Gold Star videos (anyone else remember those? - I still have mine). I rarely got to Manhattan back then, and you'd never find this stuff in Canada in those days, so after nervously smuggling my treasure through customs, I thought I made out like a bandit.

Nowadays, $100 barely covers a dinner for two and I earn seven times what I did in 1985, so dropping four sawbucks on a solid GIMP video seems like a steal. Still, I try to be selective, not because I'm counting pennies, but because I hate to be disappointed, no matter how much I spend. I do take risks though, and in a way that's half the fun. Stumbling across an unexpected gem makes up for a dozen turkeys.

So how much do I spend now? I don't really keep track, but between site memberships, PPV downloads and DVD purchases, I probably shell out $150 a week. However, that does not include purchasing custom videos and artwork commissions. That comes to another $3000 to $4000 per year. So I guess the grand total is around $10K annually. In the words of the great Charlie Sheen: Wow, that much? I guess it really adds up!

Semantics: I can't imagine anyone coming up with a definitive definition (is that redundant?) of "mainstream". I suppose it all depends on what stream you're in. If you're trickling down the gutter of a back alley, I guess Cripple Creek may seem mainstream. But the Hudson River is an also-ran when compared to the Mississippi. In other words, any film not produced primarily for a GIMP audience, whether independent, foreign or no-budget, will seem mainstream to the GIMP community when compared to output from ZFX, Powershotz and PKF. On the other hand, these films are considered to be niche features when compared to anything starring Tom Cruise.

Porn or adult offerings are a bit easier to classify, I believe. If the main objective of the film is to sexually arouse the viewer, I think it's safe to say it fits the bill.

I'm not sure I agree. I see erotica as being more deliberately artistic (use of shadows or colors in painting; use of filters or other effects in film) than porn. Chester 5000 (see URL), robot fucking a woman in a Vivid film is porn. We might argue about the edges of erotica and porn, but I don't think it's safe to say that "porn is erotica I don't like". (And no matter what the subject is, you can ALWAYS find someone, somewhere who doesn't like it.)

There is a statue of the satyr Pan having sex with a goat that dates from the Second Century, BCE, that is quite a nicely done piece of art. There are any number of bestiality themed illustrations from history, an unsurprising example being the Japanese Octopus and Shell Diver. It is possible that sex with animals was the historical equivalent of fucking robots.

Who knows if the artists set out to make something deliberately artistic? I think yes, but I have no way of knowing. I also know that there is good art and there is bad art, and the cheesier examples of pornography might just as easily be called bad art. Bad film. Bad literature.

Art is intended to make you feel something, though, and it is almost condescending to say that the only feelings worthwhile are non-prurient feelings. If it makes you think of yourself as a small, lost soul tossed on the tempests of time and circumstance, but valiantly striving for meaning in an impermanent and uncaring world, then it is art? If it excites you and gives you are hard-on, it is porn?

Personally, I am dissatisfied, if not annoyed, with the word pornography. It is a subjective pejorative term used to bludgeon people with different sexual appetites or sensibilities. It is wielded with careless abandon by prudes, hypocrites and publicity seekers (which is not to say the three are mutually exclusive).

In fact, I may need to stop jokingly using the words "porn" and "pornography," as well as "pervert" in my own posts, just to put my money where my mouth is. I use them in jest, or as a general catch-all term. In fact, they are loaded terms that have deeply serious sociological meanings to politicians, religionists, feminists, and self-appointed moral crusaders. To such people, pornography equals depravity, while to me, pornography equals entertainment.

If "pornography" were legally defined as depraved (wicked, or morally corrupt), would you be comfortable admitting to enjoying pornography so defined? Do you feel that you are wicked and morally corrupt? I hope no one reading this feels the depth of self-loathing it would take to say yes to that. Fortunately, "pornography" is not yet defined in that manner. But you know, language is a living, evolving thing, and words used to describe concepts have a way of changing.

I don't spend as much as I once did, as much of the Japanese stuff that I like can be found for free online (and as I said the other day, all of my sources for Japanese films -- bought or free -- are pirated. So my conscience is clean). But even in the days when I purchased more stuff, including some mainstream films I discovered on this site, my spending was nowhere near your annual budget. I would guess the most I probably spent in one year was about $600 to $700.

In 2011, I probably spent about $300 for the year. And much of that was because I found some used copies of ZFX films selling for $20 each, so I added to my ZFX collection. Not to worry -- the ZFX films I bought were legit. Although they were sold as "used," I actually think they were overflow copies from somewhere, as they were all in pristine condition.

Anyway, the ZFX library is more or less complete, and I expect to spend less money this year. I wouldn't be surprised if I spend less than $100 in 2012.

Hiccup here to report on an interesting little gem I found. It's called They All Must Die. Despite being made in 1998 the resolution isn't that great. If I didn't know better I woulda said it was made in the mid-80's. I can't really review the whole thing because I only viewed an hour and 14 minutes of it but I'm pretty sure that's the only part worth watching.

The movie starts off showing this young, liberal-minded white woman named Wendy who is an accomplished author moving into a really bad black neighborhood. She moves there to do research on oppressed black people for her next book. It shows the local hoodrats hanging around commenting on what the fuck a white chick is doing living alone in their neighborhood.

The first 30 minutes shows Wendy going about her business-jogging, interviewing black guys, writing. It also shows the black guys hanging around doing nothing and playing into the stereotype of black guys and commenting over and over again on what the fuck a white bitch is doing in their neighborhood. There's the obligatory scene where one of them asks her out and she politely turns him down. This of course makes her less popular in the neighborhood.

The action starts when three of them get her to open the door and three of them force their way in. Bad lighting and bad cinematography show themselves as the director films them carrying her up the stairs (but it was probably a hard scene to shoot with not much room).

After getting her up to her room they throw her on the bed and there's a long drawn out scene as one of the guys removes her clothes and terrorizes Wendy. Wendy of course is freaking out crying and begging them to stop. Its a surprisingly good scene and shows a lot of tits and some bush. Then of course they rape her but the sex is strictly softcore R rated but a hard R rating. Still quite good though. Afterwards she gets up naked off the bed and staggers out of the room to the bathroom and bumps into the wall. One of the black guys tells her "Hey bitch, don't get the wall dirty."

She climbs into the bathtub for the obligatory post-rape scene where she curls up into a fetal position, wraps her arms around herself and rocks back and forth while crying. Then the black guys take all the food out of the refrigerator and pour in on her while she's in the tub freaking out. They also pour a box of cereal or bread crumbs of some kind of shit on her. Then they leave.

The rest of the movie shows Wendy taking her revenge on her attackers one after the other and that part I pretty much fast-forwarded and skimmed. If anyone has an interest in that part of the movie let them go watch it themselves.

In summary I'm amazed this movie actually got made when it did. Its definitely the most politically incorrect movie made in the last 20 years which is why there was very little distribution of it. The forced stripping scene and rape were spot on with excellent acting, humiliation and nudity. One thing I didn't like is the director tried to make Wendy appear as a real rape victim with blood, bruises, matted hair and whatnot which made her less attractive to look at.

This is probably a subjective thing but I prefer rape scenes in mainstream movies than porn movies because the women are better actresses and the nonconsensual aspect is more real. That's definitely the case with this one.

It's probably just me, but I'm also reminded of the filmmakers' commentary on the DVD for Kentucky Fried Movie during the scene called Danger Seekers. In the commentary, the filmmakers said the part that was just wrong was the moment when the guys respond with, "Say what?". You have to hear the commentary.

The definitions of pornography: Great posts, guys. The name "pornography" has a stigma to it. It seems like the only time someone describes a work as "pornography" is when they're trying to denigrate it. It's a buzzword. It's like how Republicans and other haters are the only ones that use the word "Obamacare"; while everyone else uses the term "health care reform". Likewise, the book burners will call a movie "pornography" while the rest of us use the term "adult film". It's all just a matter of whether you want to give it a negative connotation in the words you use. Pornography is an ugly word.

Hiccup: Dude! That was an EXCELLENT review! I'd never heard of that movie but you really sold it to me. That's exactly the kind of information I like to read. It sounds like a throwback to the way movies USED to be made, before political-correctness took over. Indeed, according to Wikipedia, the film couldn't even find a distributor for 13 years until it got picked up late last year. In the plot they note that "from this opening scene to the last she is either being harassed, tortured, or gang-raped". Yeah, I'm there.

Horrible box cover artwork, though. Neither of the 2 video stores in my area carry it, and of course, Censoring Bastards Netflix doesn't either. I'll hunt it down.

For years before I and other classmates had been using the Legion of Decency list given to us by the nuns as a movie list of had to see films. If it was condemned, it must be good. We saw all these movies with a dime and our traffic-boy movie passes.

That's why this ole Catholic boy (I don't practice now) knew about the old GIMPy and WSIM classics like The Mongols 1961, Emmanuelle 1974, Emmanuelle II 1975, Story of O 1975, etc.

Gerry believes that it not porn but good art and good art moves people and generates emotions, both good and bad.

Erotica has generally been viewed as art, although certainly there have been philistines who denigrated erotica as well. In fact, we have extended the pejorative meaning of the word "porn" by now referring to "torture porn," meaning torture that is beyond the pale, in the opinion of the speaker. I wholeheartedly concur that the despicable Passion of the Christ was a film only crazy-ass religious freaks could possibly enjoy, or GIMPers...

My fellow GIMPers, FYI about The Mongols 1961, in that part of my confession of a miss-spent youth about when I first cut a freshman high school class to see this movie with high school classmates because it was on the condemned list of the Catholic legion of decency. There were many details of why this movie so impressed me that I omitted.

That whip torture scene of Amina played by Antonella Lualdi, that I saw at the old The Royal theatre on Polk street in San Francisco was a lot longer, very explicit, and showed a lot more of Amina's right breast as she dance to the whip blows. That YouTube clip in Spanish is of the best copy I have seen since being presented a copy in VHS (it came from Sinister Cinema in Medford Oregon and was dubbed in English) by Charlie Brent, the floor manager at the Mitchell Brothers theatre in 1983.

Chuck knew of my discussions with his boss concerning that Jack Palance movie and that my then drinking partner Artie Mitchell at the then Kirk and Johnson owned Edinburgh Castle. Artie had been able to find a faded 16mm color print of that movie, showing Amina saying "Oh God, and after a few more whip blows with camera view of her sweaty face cried "Stop", then moved to Ekberg's being handed the whip. I remember that scene being twenty or more seconds longer. Artie and I later inspected that film and found that it had been spliced at that point. Also, that VHS copy played in very slow motion show the beads of sweat flying off Amina's face and hair with each whip blow.

I few years later saw whole scene including the missing scenes of my memories in a so-so Black and White local KTVU Channel-Two TV broadcast on a after midnight horror show. Therefore, I know that a copy of the whole whip torture scene is in someone's collection. To me it is a ground breaking movie of its time, especially for its violence and that WSIM scene alone.

What? When did I say that? I was renting until I was 50, becoming a land-owner only four years ago.

Damn it, reviewed this Histoire de 'O' will in time be considered an epic. I forgot just how good it was.

The version shown were either a lot of outtakes and scene cuts from the old VHS version I saw or my memory is worse than I thought. I don't remember the old car scene in the one version of the beginning and don't remember a speedboat in the second.

The music in the car was true to the film I saw, but not the rest of the soundtrack. This must have just been an overdub for hashing the scenes together, but it would have been nice to find some other score from the movie.

I don't remember the modern house scene or Corinne Clery the fashion photographer either. As I say, I may have had a cruelly edited version, but I'm pretty sure all the delicious whipping scene were like the virgin, intact.

That vision of Corinne Clery wet with sweat, naked and whip weary will live with me until I die.

Thanks for reminding us of what we had. I don't expect to see its like again.

Had to smile to myself. I was reading 'The Mongols'. And thinking I don't remember seeing a salacious whipping scene in that one. I just remember John Wayne stumbling through an equally atrocious script!!!

The challenge for me is I don't know that I find the lead actress in the movie all that appealing. I'm not questioning the casting ... she may very well look and act like the character. But I'm not sure the violation is going to work for me as a GIMP scene.

However, I'm just guessing. I would also be interested in hearing from anyone who has seen it.

Heroone: Legion of Decency? Hoo boy, I remember that one from my own Catholic upbringing.

Before I was allowed to go see a movie, I had to march up to the church and check out the ratings tacked to the bulletin board in the lobby. If you were pre-teen or younger, you could only view films in one of the five classifications. The worst rating was "C" for Condemned which also forbid adults from seeing it. Like if you saw a "C" movie, walked out of the theater and got hit by a car, you would go straight to hell without a rest stop. Such was the rating given to The Carpetbaggers. I always thought it earned that rating because George Peppard ripped at (but not off) Carroll Baker's dress...but it was actually because it was determined that nothing and nobody in the film had any redeeming moral values.

But "decency" is another one of those concepts that are ill-defined. And while were on the subject:

YikYakker - thank you for remember your Catholic teen years. Every Thursday afternoon, a nun would post that list on the cork board and it showed all the movies at the local theatres in San Francisco, for Friday and Saturday viewing. My fellow traffic boys and I had to look at that list before being given our theatre passes after the Friday school day dismissal time. I always picked the movies on the Condemned list, I knew they must be good if the church did not want you to see them.

I never feared going straight to Hell since I knew that I would not be alone. I had my friends in the school traffic boy corp. I guess we now call them enablers. I only felt guilty if seen by another church goer from our parish. And speaking of the devil, about that movie with Carroll Baby Doll Baker and George Peppard: The Carpetbaggers. That brings back old memories and very bad memories, especially when you are leaving the scene of the crime, where as you happen upon the parish priest in front of the theatre; and my only quick response was "Hi ya Father, I guess I'll be seeing you Saturday for confession".

Thank you for checking out Cecilia on IMDb, and giving a quick review, so I did not have to say anything. I was too embarrassed to post anything after viewing the DVD I found. This movie was Jess Franco's stab at doing an Emmanuelle type story that would attract a wider audience. The only GIMPy scenes are at the beginning and the end with implied abduction and forced sex multiple partners, which melted into a consensual sex act.

It came in 4 files ending with extensions .avi.001, etc. I put them in the same folder and tried HJSplit to re-unite them, but I just keep getting (I think) 001. It plays, then when it gets to the end, it updates and appears to be processing the first 20%, but it never gets past that point. The joined video shows 302 Meg, but it won't run in AVS Video or Media Player Classic. Any ideas?

If it's not too late, I'd like to clarify my original question about how 'real' each of the tortures in Maleficarum was and how uncomfortable or even painful they were to film.

Since posting that question, I've watched the eight interview videos, where you talked about the various scenes and mentioned things like being bruised and sore from bouncing around on the spit. Besides incidental discomfort like that, I was curious to know how much, if at all, the tortures themselves caused you any discomfort. For example, did the whipping hurt? Did your arms get sore from being suspended? How uncomfortable was sitting on the horse and how much worse did the weights make it? How tightly were you actually stretched on the rack and where, if any, was the discomfort (joints, wrists/ankles)? Did the heat from the coals become uncomfortable during the spit roasting, or did the spit itself ever start to get hot? How much did standing on the spikes hurt?

I know that seems like a lot of specific questions, but I'm not asking for an essay on each scene, just a few words on whatever discomfort you might have felt during each one.

I hope I don't seem out of line for asking this. I've previous stated that I prefer 'real' action in fetish films to scenes that are just acting, so I'm curious to know how 'real' the Maleficarum scenes were to you.

Ralphus - You're not the only one who isn't a fan of widescreen. It's not so much the shape that bothers me, but the fact that so much stuff is designed for a 4:3 screen. When viewed on a widescreen display, your only choices are to have it pillar-boxed (with black bars on the sides), or stretch it to fill the screen, which distorts the aspect ratio. You wouldn't believe how many people prefer the latter option. Every time I see a widescreen TV displaying something that was filmed in 4:3, they have it set to stretch the image to fill the screen. The second I look at it, I can see that it doesn't look right.

Actually, I'm not really a fan of LCD screens in general. Sure, the size and power requirements are nice, but I don't like that they have a fixed resolution, which virtually never matches the image resolution. So every image gets scaled (up or down) to fit the screen, resulting in scaling artifacts. Go up to any LCD TV and look at the ever-present channel logo in the corner and you'll notice a sort of gray fuzz around it. You can also see the same thing on LCD monitors depending on the desktop resolution. This is because there's no way to take a 1280x720 image and make it fill a screen with a resolution of 1920x768 without introducing scaling errors.

I'm always amazed when I hear people talk about how sharp and clear an LCD display it. This despite the fact that the image is full of scaling artifacts and has usually been stretched to odd proportions. My 19" CRT monitor may weight a ton and make my electric meter spin, but when I set my desktop to 1600x1200, that's exactly what I get. Not some approximation of it.

JD: Ah-hah, so THAT'S why the latest LCD monitors come with messages to use a specific resolution setting. They are trying to avoid those artifacts. I personally like LCD monitors although I agree that it is annoying to see huge HD LCD TVs on the setting that stretches the picture out of proportion. That drives me crazy. Why have an expensive HD LCD TV if your picture is distorted?

You might try editing the filenames to remove the .avi portion. I use the same joining software and I recall having a similar problem to the one you described. I think the suggestion made above was a solution to the problem.

You guys are more technically savvy than me. I only download avi files where the full movie is in one file, not pieces. I don't think I could figure out how to piece separate files together.

But I'm a big fan of Humpty-Dumpty and I make my words work hard for their wages.

Brian's Page says Diora Baird has 3 bondage scenes in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning. Netflix at least carries that one.

Exactly right. Much of the Internet isn't real widescreen, it's designed to be read up and down, and these monitors stretch it out abnormally so that text is elongated and pictures are wider than the way they were originally composed.

And you know what? After reading what you wrote, I went onto Craig's List and found an old-time 4:3 monitor for 10 bucks, plugged it in and got my $89.99 back from Best Buy. And I'm a lot happier now. I love my new widescreen television, but widescreen computer monitors? They're a gimmick. In this case, I'm strictly Old School and proud of it. And I don't own a cell phone, either.

Honestly, when I look at that picture of her (or any picture of her for that matter), no other woman comes to mind.

Rooney Mara's character, Lisbeth Salander, is definitely punk goth pierced and tattooed, so expect that. She cleans up well at the end, though, so you can see what she would be like if she adopted a more traditional look.

If you're looking for a GIMP flick, this is not it. It has that one outstanding scene, but over the course of a two and a half hour running time, that would not be enough to satisfy a GIMP aficionado. If you liked the original, however, you will like this one as well.

Yes, look for and download a program called HJSplit. It will join the 001, 002, etc files together to complete the movie.

True enough it has to be said Corinne Clery would have to rate up there with the best of them, but you know, very often it's film genre that can cast the light.

I'm a sucker for babes in harem outfits. I mean any type of harem outfit. So as soon as that Eastern music starts to drift out of the TV and you see sylph like beauties flapping about, I get all interested.

That in mind, I adore Joan Collins in Land of the Pharaohs and, joy of joys, she is actually whipped, albeit it woefully briefly, but it is always a bonus in these type of films, and always a possibility, perhaps one of the reasons I watch them.

Lest we forget of course, there is the stunning Caroline Munro. Now there's a babe who could fill a pair of harem pants as deliciously as the rest of them and since she was almost invariably a slave girl in these movies...well that's just a bonus isn't it.

BTW one little gimper that seems to fly under the radar, but is well worth a watch is an odd little thing call The Adventures of Hajii Baba. Here the heroine gets strung up by the arms not once but twice and there's a great sight of her pants flapping in the breeze. Sorry about the production still including the eponymous hero, but the ones I had with the babe alone were such poor res I didn't think it worth including them. In addition to this a slave girl gets her feet whipped, plus there are numerous references to slave girls and slave auctions plus there is a threat of torture to one of them. OK, it doesn't come off, but hey, this is Sunday afternoon fare. Not a bad little diversion for a bit.

Yik Yakker: Kelly Hu again, variation on harem pants

It doesn't take much imagination to see the panties as a trimmed bush, does it? At least that's how I see it!

I thought I'd let you guys know about a new movie with an amazing GIMP scene called Outtake Reel.

The basic plot is a horror director and cast are struggling to shoot a movie on a micro budget. Things are further compromised by the bitchy attitude of the lead actress (Ava Santana). She has a grudge against the director for firing one of her co-stars and starts fighting him over everything, including an implied nude scene he wants to shoot. It would only show her back, but she refuses much to his frustration.

This sets things up nicely for the torture scene because you can't wait to see this diva get put in her place. She eventually gets kidnapped by the guy who has been carrying around a handheld and shooting behind the scenes footage the entire time. He ties her up and invites the director over, pitching him this twisted plan to torture her on camera, get genuine reactions from her, and use it in the film.

The director is eventually forced to go along with it at gunpoint. She's tied down to a table and has black tape covering her mouth and her eyes, with earmuffs to block her hearing. The guy pokes at her in a taunting way, cuts off her shirt exposing her breasts, sticks her with a cattle prod, and even starts cutting off toes (not too graphically shown). It's basically a 10 minute scene. (In the DVD extras there's an extended version of the scene where he puts his hand up her skirt and then wipes the hand on his shirt implying penetration)

SPOILER ALERT: You later find out that she was in on it, so the fact that it was technically consensual in the grand scheme of the movie might slightly ruin it for some. The scene taken by itself is still awesome though.

Could someone in the know please post (or re-post) a handful of the most common words used by the women?

Really? So if you saw a great GIMP scene simply by itself and nothing before or after it, you would think it was a great scene, right? So why would a plot twist that happens 20 minutes or a half hour later ruin what you would have seen previously? In my mind, a great scene is a great scene, period. It's like when I reviewed Pain Gate and you mentioned that the opening segment where the girl came to the master first which made the whole thing consensual, which therefore tainted the entire film? I don't agree, which is why I picked it as the best bondage film of the year.

No one is a bigger critic of consensual scenes than me. But what bugs me is when a consensual scene has consensual elements, like when the villain asks the girl how she's liking it and if she's ready to cum. I hate that. And as far as finding out that the victim was acting afterward, it shouldn't have an effect if there's no hint of it during the actual segment. Because when you get down to it, they're ALL acting and EVERY scene we see is consensual. Makes sense?

Maybe I'm just not able to compartmentalize elements of movies like that, but the context matters to me. If it's established somewhere along the way -- before or after -- that what I saw was consensual, it ruins it for me. Saying it may have looked great when I didn't know it was actually consensual doesn't help me in the end.

I don't know that I have ever analyzed why it matters to me. But I find the illusion (since, yes, they are actors) of nonconsensual activity has to be maintained.

I was originally reluctant to grade it since our tastes are all different. But in my opinion I'd say a solid B+. It's about as good as you are going to see in a modern mainstream film. The acting during the scene was great and the context was good (minus the plot development I pointed out). It would have been perfect had they taken her skirt off too. Why wouldn't you?

Kristi and the Time Machine (KTM) is the first new production from Teraz Films since last year's Mark of the Whip 2. Technically, it's not a Teraz video at all, being released under the Terror Perverse label shared by Girl in the Lift and Nina's Nightmares. Supposedly, Terror Perverse videos are more extreme than Teraz films, but if this is so, it is due to their featuring more pseudo-hardcore action, not graphic violence. There really isn't much difference between KTM and the MOW films; they all draw on the same quirky style unique to the Teraz universe.

For those familiar with Teraz's previous output, Kristi and the Time Machine will seem more than a little familiar. As usual, the male characters are often masked and dubbed with synthesized voices, giving them the creepy presence of alien beings disguised as humans. The Granny Clampett clone from MOW2 returns in a bit role, again most likely played by a man. There's even a cameo appearance by everyone's favorite gauze-wrapped villain, the Fantom Kiler himself. KTM features only two actresses: Maria Vaslova in a brief but very welcome appearance as FK's victim, and Kristi Lust (Kristýna Lusková, pictured right in a shot not from KTM), a Czech porn star who is in 95% of the film's scenes. Both Kristi and Maria embody classic Teraz GIMPettes: statuesque, glistening glamazons wearing nothing but stiletto heels and struggling desperately with their lines.

Except for a few exterior shots, KTM was filmed in the Teraz studios in the Czech Republic. Now unless a film is set in pre-existing indoor locations, attempting a low budget, studio-bound production, especially one spanning multiple time periods, is usually ill-advised. Yet Teraz always surprises me with how much they squeeze out of their plywood sets, creative lighting and fog machines. The overall effect is surprisingly atmospheric if you don't mind the cheesy feel of a low-budget, 1950's sci-fi film. If mainstream realism is of utmost importance to you, I suspect you will be disappointed - the cost limitations are apparent in every shot - but if like me, you can get by on ambience and good intentions, KTM provides some unique and innovative scenes rarely attempted in peril fetish videos.

Ostensibly directed by "Richard Stalin", but likely helmed by the same gent who made the Fantom Kiler films ("Roman Nowicki", though some may know him by other monickers), KTM is a sex and violence remake of that Irwin Allen television chestnut from the mid Sixties, The Time Tunnel. Those of us old enough to remember this show will recall that the titular invention was a multi-billion dollar project to send reckless scientists into the past and future to do, well... something important which is never really explained. As the show opens, the project is in danger of being scrapped because much money has been spent and all the scientists are still safely ensconced in the present.

To prove the invention works, reckless young scientist Tony sends himself back in time. Shortly thereafter, reckless older scientist Doug follows him. As the remaining eggheads collectively slap their foreheads, they watch helplessly (via those magic view screens that show events being relayed by non-existent cameras) as Tony and Doug are transported back to 1912 - landing ass over teakettle on... the Titanic! The time travelers do their best to convince the ship's crew that their unsinkable boat is about to, you know, sink, but these raving lunatics who claim to be from the future meet with little success. Cue iceberg; insert spiffy effects from some hoary old movie; and at the very last instant, "save" scientists by beaming them to some other perilous situation in a different era.

That basic premise is repeated week after week, as Tony and Doug bop from Krakatoa to Pearl Harbor to the Alamo - anywhere but back to the present because they are "lost in time". In each episode they are yanked to their next exciting destination just as doom seems inevitable. So what has this digression to archaic science fiction television got to do with Kristi and the Time Machine? Just about everything. Not only does KTM appropriate the Time Tunnel plot, it even steals the tunnel's concentric rings and uses them as a motif for its time travel sequences. Of course, the KTM destinations are considerably less epic in scope, and the machine itself is... let's just say it's not exactly a multi-billion dollar project. But the rest is all there, nostalgia fans, with the addition of three things you never saw on the television series: nudity, bondage, and a whole truckload of female peril.

As KTM opens ("Somewhere in Eastern Europe"), Professor Rohr-Sauger, inventor of a rather low-rent time machine, receives the bad news that his project is in danger of being scrapped because much money has been spent, and to no one's surprise, no time traveling has occurred. Pipe smoking Rohr-Sauger and his associate, Professor Korsakov, attired in lab coats and wearing those nefarious masks, are ordered to prove the machine works or face having their funding cut. What's a poor mad scientist to do? Maybe try using the unfinished device on himself to demonstrate it? Not on your life. Far better to recruit his comely and extraordinarily ill-informed assistant to test drive the thing and see what happens.

Doctor Kristi Lust (played by not-a-doctor Kristi Lust) is summoned. After listening to Rohr-Sauger's unconvincing blather about how his invention works, and being scolded for questioning its safety, Kristi bleats "yes sir" a half dozen times and, clipboard in hand, obligingly marches into the time machine. This dodgy contraption, which resembles a revolving door on a subway platform, entraps poor Kristi, who is told she must remove all her clothing in order for the device to work properly. After protesting for about two seconds, our eager-to-please heroine doffs her lab coat, bra and panties, but not her trusty Manolo Blahniks, which apparently do not count as clothing.

It's important to note that at this point, about seven minutes into the movie, Kristi Lust is virtually naked, and that, excepting a brief segment in ancient Rome, she will remain so for the rest of the film. It's also worth mentioning that this is one of the best things about KTM. For my money, Kristi Lust is among the hottest actresses I've seen in a GIMP fetish flick, and every delectable square inch of her flesh is on display in the shots which follow. Thankfully, she makes no effort to find replacement clothing.

Understandably curious about where in time her boss plans to send her, Kristi becomes a little concerned when Rohr-Sauger reveals he hasn't a clue himself. After all, he's never used the machine before - so what the hell, he'll just wing it. Even worse, she's told he is still working on how to make the journey a round trip. This clearly does not sit well with Kristi, but before she can object further, Rohr-Sauger activates the machine.

In a most enjoyable sequence, Kristi starts writhing as the apparatus fires up. The device emits suitably retro sound effects, and its hapless occupant begins dancing about like a possessed go-go dancer. Like most time machines, this one forces multiple orgasms on its user as it apparently accumulates the energy to send her into history. Kristi moans, gasps and climaxes repeatedly, but she does not seem to be having a good time. Rohr-Sauger and Korsakov, on the other hand, enjoy the show and make rude comments. Like Barbarella in the orgasmatron, Kristi "suffers" until the machine finally catapults her to her first destination.

Sounding suspiciously like a Star Trek transporter, the time machine plummets naked Kristi into a remarkably authentic, night-time jungle setting. As she gazes about in wide-eyed wonder, she is attacked by a truly unimpressive rubber spider (the same sad-sack prop used in MOW2), then a slightly more believable giant centipede. The centipede wastes no time in making a beeline for Kristi's crotch, and in a stunning close-up shot, starts tunneling into her pussy, still wet and sticky from her previous orgasm marathon. Most women I know would react rather badly in this situation, but not our fearless star, who mistakes the critter for a sex toy and writhes about for several minutes before eventually pulling it out.

Meanwhile, back at the lab, Rohr-Sauger and Korsakov make half-hearted attempts to locate their guinea pig, using samples of her "vagina juice DNA" as some kind of tracking substance. Whatever works, I suppose. They get only a few glimpses of Kristi (covered in bugs) on the miracle monitors before losing the signal as the machine expectedly malfunctions.

Back in the jungle, we finally get into serious GIMP territory as Kristi is discovered by a pair of Latin-American soldiers. Apparently, she has been teleported to some third-world country (Cuba?), though neither place nor time are identified. Observing that she is nude, in high heels and speaking with a Czech accent, the two men naturally conclude that she is an American CIA agent who must be brought in for questioning. They poke her with their assault rifles, tie her hands (in front -- sigh), then push her through the jungle to their secret lair.

Here, Kristi is interrogated, which of course is a third-world euphemism for torture - especially if it involves nubile females. She is groped and anally penetrated with a pistol before having her wrists duct-taped to her ankles in a reverse hog-tie and plopped face up on the kitchen table. The tension builds as the soldiers push the pistol into her vagina and threaten to pull the trigger: unos, dos, tres, quatro... but, no... just kidding. Failing to scare the gormless gal into confessing, they proceed to burn her nipples and clit with a cigar. Further abuse includes ass whuppin' and tongue stretching, featuring those Teraz staples, a rug beater and a bottle of J&B scotch. Overall, Kristi's interrogation is a first-rate GIMP scene: three different bondage positions, a half dozen tortures, a naked, sweaty victim, and it goes on for almost fifteen minutes.

Back at the lab, Rohr-Sauger has called in an engineer to fix the time machine. We know this new guy is an engineer because he wears a hard-hat, but you have to wonder why the genius who invented the device can't fix the damn thing himself. No matter -- these cut-aways to the bickering, inept scientists make Kristi's doom seem all the more certain, especially when they abandon the imperiled blonde in favor of a tea break to celebrate getting the machine fixed.

Eventually, the soldiers give up on poor Kristi and decide to finish her off. With her hands tied behind her back, she's bent forward over the table. One guerilla stands in front of her and pushes the muzzle of his assault rifle into her mouth. The other stands behind her and inserts his weapon up her ass. Once again, it's uno, dos, tres... but just as it looks like curtains for Kristi, she's teleported away, leaving her tormentors shooting into each other instead of their captive. Kristi lives on to suffer some more. Hooray!

The next segment is the weakest of the various KTM set-pieces. The aforementioned granny character, probably a relative of the Fantom Whipper's mother (see MOW2 review), is masturbating her adult son, a porcine-faced monstrosity who, to Mom's frustration, can't seem to find a girlfriend. Mom strokes his mammoth cock enthusiastically until a gallon of semen erupts all over the living room furniture. Unless you're into incest, male bodily fluids, or deformed people, this scene will make you lose your lunch. Once again, the location and time of these dire proceedings is unclear, but it appears to be contemporary England.

After Pig-man leaves for work, Kristi, still tied and nude, materializes on the coffee table, answering Mom's prayers for a girl to mate with her grotesque offspring. Kristi barely has a chance to get her bearings before Mom knocks her out. When Sonny returns, his mother proudly has a gagged and bound time traveler contorted ass-up with a lit candle inserted in her pussy: a human birthday cake. Pig-man removes the candle, makes a wish, and re-inserts it lit-end first! You might fault Kristi Lust for her diction, but you can't say she's a GIMP wimp.

Things get ugly when Mom encourages her boy to "cut the cake". As Pig-man prepares to impale his treat with a fearsome Bowie knife, Kristi kicks him away - Mom should have restrained those legs - causing him to fall back and spear his noggin on a coat hook. Ouch. As her son dies squealing, Mom ropes Kristi's neck and strangles the no-longer-welcome gift from God. If you are into asphyx, Kristi's struggling as the old lady chokes the life out of her is easily the best part of this scene. It lasts almost two minutes, and Kristi puts on quite a show. But the film isn't even half over yet, so to no one's surprise except maybe Pig-man's mom, our heroine is transported away just before she expires. Go Kristi!

Her next stop is once again somewhat ambiguous, though it's likely a US city in recent times. A balaclava-wearing mobster cornered by the police is about to hold his final stand-off when Kristi drops in right next to him. As the cops do a double take, the mobster wastes no time using the bound and gagged time traveler as a convenient human shield. Kristi squirms enticingly in the gangster's grasp as he opens fire with a machine gun. The coppers are hamstrung, no doubt worrying about the bad press they'd get if they mow down a nude woman with her hands tied behind her.

Safe behind his sexy barricade, the mobster gets giddy and positions his gun barrel lengthwise along Kristi's labia, effectively using her vagina to steady his weapon. As the gun blasts away, our horny heroine reacts as expected when the hot, vibrating metal begins rocking her world. I'm not one who likes to see a GIMPette enjoy her punishment, and it's arguable whether Kristi is enjoying anything here, but the sight of her climaxing over and over as bursts of machine gun fire erupt from between her legs is more than a little arousing. This segment is not without its flaws, but Kristi's reaction to her ordeal saves the day.

Unfortunately for our Cagney wannabe, the time machine giveth, and the time machine taketh away. As he looks on in disbelief, Kristi vanishes into thin air, teleporting onward to new adventures. With his pretty protector gone, the scene ends, as you might expect, rather badly for the bad guy.

Kristi's next destination - the fourth if you've lost track - features the aforementioned guest appearance of the Fantom Kiler, hero of his own line of Teraz videos. We thus can assume this segment is set in present day Poland, where FK haunts the countryside slicing up bare and busty beauties. Arriving in a storage shed, Kristi is alone long enough to finally free her arms and remove her gag. Fortunately for us, there is not a scrap of clothing in sight, so she hides behind an oil drum when she hears someone enter.

That someone of course is the Fantom Kiler, towing his latest victim behind him by a T shaped pussy hook imbedded where pussy hooks are meant to be imbedded. FK's unfortunate captive is the fetching judge who sentenced him to life in jail for "the murder and mutilation of over 1000 virgins" (Don't believe it? Try finding one now). The judge is played by Maria Vaslova, star of Nina's Nightmares and owner of the world's most durable breast implants. They are on fine display here, as is the rest of her, squirming naked on the end of the hook, gagged and with hands bound behind her.

As Fantom Kiler is considerably less lenient than the judge, he sentences her to a "humiliating and agonizing execution". But first he carries out the punishment the judge imposed on him. With Maria awkwardly bent backward, arms tied overhead, FK whacks her repeatedly with a cane before using it, against her will, as a masturbation aid. Eventually tiring of the cane, FK moves on to flog the poor woman with a cat-o'-nine tails.

Judging from her previous Teraz appearances, Vaslova certainly can take a lot of pain, and she does not disappoint here. Her torture is suitably believable and although the blood effects are a bit weak, the repeated blows across her breasts and midsection are real. As a result, this is one of the best scenes in the film, and will be a favorite for anyone who enjoyed Maria's performance in Mark of the Whip.

Peeking out from behind the oil drum, Kristi looks on in horror as the judge endures her thrashing. At last, she decides to intervene, sneaking up behind the distracted Kiler, intending to bash his head in with a wrench. Sadly for the judge, it is just as Kristi is about to save the day that Rohr-Sauger (remember him?) locks onto her vagina juice DNA and teleports her out of the scene. This leaves Maria alone with FK, who fires up a chain saw and closes in on her gaping sex.

It would have been fun to hang out in that storage shed for another few minutes, but instead we leave the judge to her tragic fate and watch Kristi materialize in a jail cell under the coliseum in Ancient Rome - 300 BCE to be exact. Sharing the dank cage is another naked blonde - you can never have too many I guess - a gladiatrix (played by Ms. Lust in a wig) who is furiously masturbating in hopes of reaching one last orgasm before being forced to fight. Oblivious to Kristi's arrival, she barely has a chance to climax before Rohr-Sauger mistakenly beams her into the present day.

Emerging in the professor's contraption, the gladiatrix is understandably confused and apparently a little annoyed at having her two-finger tango interrupted. Just as Rohr-Sauger decides that this unexpected visitor could make a passable substitute for Kristi - and giving up on the original to prove the machine works - the blonde wrecks her shot at fame by dissing the touchy scientist. Strangely unfazed by the girl's ability to swear in English, he instead is offended by his foul-mouthed guest and rashly beams her into oblivion.

This seeming tangent of a scene is actually very necessary to the plot. Now alone in the coliseum cell, Kristi is mistaken for the gladiatrix and soon finds herself outfitted with a sword, shield and helmet to face off against a slab of beefcake three times her size. Curiously, she has also been garbed in a tiny leather bra and matching loincloth, her first nod to modesty since stripping off her lab coat in scene one. No worries though: two minutes into the fight, her opponent's sword has slashed away her brief attire, leaving Kristi wearing nothing but her helmet and a glistening sheen of sweat.

The gladiator fight is easily the most ambitious scene in the film, and not surprisingly, the one which most highlights its production limitations. The supposed throngs of spectators are represented by a half dozen, masked punters shown against a dark, smoky background. The ring looks to be the size of walk-in closet, and the props, including some rather grody severed heads, are as convincing as a ten buck Rolex. Still, the swordplay is remarkably energetic, and Kristi acquits herself well against the mighty "Dracon". This scene is not meant to be realistic but entertaining, and at that level it succeeds admirably. Besides, how many other films feature a nude heroine crossing swords with a hulking Neanderthal?

Unfortunately, the GIMPery is derailed when Dracon notices that his opponent is actually quite fetching, and begins to lust after Dr. Lust right in the middle of the fight. Ignoring the jeers of the "crowd", he stands transfixed by the woman's beauty and, ummm... rises to the occasion. With Dracon's member at full attention, Kristi takes advantage of her adversary's distracted state and with a well-aimed stroke snatches victory from the loss of da meat.

But the games ain't over until the fat lady sings, or at least until the slim one dies. With the spectators screaming for her blood, Kristi faces a second challenger, this one more skilled and presumably gay. Unlike his predecessor, "Magog" fails to fall for his opponent's considerable charms and soon divests her of her shield, sword and (thankfully) that helmet. With his prey cornered and the business end of a scythe (!) pressed against her womanhood, he swings the blade upward just as - you guessed it - Rohr-Sauger locks onto his guinea pig and transports her to...

...a seedy Manhattan alley in 1973. You'd think that at some point the good professor would just let his hapless assistant suffer her impending doom and put her out of her misery, but I suppose the concept of never-ending perils is the whole idea here. As if showing up in the US during Watergate were not punishment enough, Kristi is mistaken by the local pimp for a wayward ho trespassing on his turf. After all, she's in a back alley, she's in heels, and she's naked. If you were a pimp, wouldn't you reach the same conclusion?

After checking Kristi's orifices for money (so that's where naked hookers stash their cash), the pimp assumes she is giving out freebies and generously treats the neighborhood to complimentary samples. Kristi is beaten, tied to a garbage can and fitted with a speculum to keep her mouth accessible. "Fuck me for free" is scrawled on her midsection just in case anyone still misses the point. Surprisingly, several people turn their noses up at the delectable offer before one eager beaver whips out his mortadella sized cock and pushes it down Kristi's throat. He cums quickly, showering the poor girl with what looks more like a quart of milk than what it's supposed to be.

Kristi takes the violation rather well, considering her hands are clearly untied (a major fail in this scene) but remain obediently behind her back throughout the assault. Maybe she's just become so used to having her wrists cuffed together that she doesn't think to defend herself. Even when she is approached by the resident psycho killer - there seems to be one at every stop - Kristi arches back helplessly and prepares to be stabbed by the guy's knife (which looks remarkably similar to the ornate blade used by Pig-man at her second destination).

Of course, just as the knife comes down, guess what happens? If you said she's finally killed, you haven't been paying attention. Actually, this time Kristi makes it back to the lab... for all of the five seconds it takes Rohr-Sauger to change his mind about retrieving her without the media around to witness his genius. With the machine now working as designed (hard to believe), there's one more stop for our intrepid time traveler while the professor and Korsakov arrange a big party to publicize her return.

Now magically bound as she was supposed to be in the previous scene (but missing the inspiring words on her belly), and with the speculum still in her mouth (ever wonder why anything time travelers are touching travels with them?), Kristi arrives in the litter-strewn dwelling of... yes, another psycho killer. Aside from butchering naked women, which is a pretty common hobby in the world of Teraz, this character has a somewhat peculiar fetish. Rather than reveal it, I'll end the plot synopsis here and leave you to be as stunned by the conclusion of KTM as I was. Suffice it to say, things did not wind up as I expected - and I thought I was ready for anything. A word of warning though: make sure you've fully digested your dinner before watching the final scene.

Although the climax was not one I would have chosen, it is in keeping with the overall tone of the film, which is dark and surreal while remaining oddly humorous throughout. Kristi is like the speechless Barbie doll every teenage GIMPer practiced on after lights-out, so you can't really feel sorry for her. Rohr-Sauger is a pompous lecher who clearly enjoys seeing his assistant tortured and humiliated. In fact, he'd be happy to leave her stranded or dead in the past if it weren't for the fact he needs her to prove his invention works. Clearly, KTM is meant to be an absurdist fantasy, made all the more apparent by having Kristi march through her adventures in stilettos but otherwise nude while encountering only masked maniacs out to mistreat her. As mentioned, the plot is a direct steal from The Time Tunnel, but the film is really a sexed up version of The Perils of Pauline.

Accepting it for what it is, I enjoyed KTM a great deal. Like all Teraz output, it has atmosphere to burn, and unlike most fetish productions, care is taken with the details in every scene. Kristi Lust is quite a find, and sizzles in every shot she's in. Thanks to some creative photography, we get to see her from virtually all angles, and trust me, there's no way to make this woman look bad (see pic at left - dressed in her favorite outfit). She does have a scorpion tattoo on one shoulder, but it's not overly distracting. Her acting, on the other hand, is. Kristi's native tongue clearly is not English, as is the case with almost all the Teraz girls, and she appears to speak her lines phonetically. Fortunately, she has little to say, and is virtually mute throughout most of the film (a somewhat brutal but unused scene shown in the DVD extras might account for this).

KTM is not for everybody. For one thing, the campy yet misogynistic tone will make some folks uncomfortable, especially those who don't get the offbeat style favored by Teraz. The perils depicted will be too harsh for some, and not harsh enough for others. There's little blood, some unfulfilled teasing ("I'll have her breasts as trophies!") and some scenes could use an extra forty watt bulb or two. Perhaps the most obvious criticism is that the film's reach sometimes exceeds its grasp. Yet rather than hide the budget challenges, the director revels in them, taking things to jaw-dropping extremes in hopes of distracting viewers from the more obvious warts. Who cares if the giant centipede is fake when it's burrowing into a naked babe's privates as she lies writhing in the jungle?

In the same way, the entire plot exists solely to put the heroine into improbably bizarre and intense perils. There are a few cut-away scenes to the lab as the professor struggles to keep the machine working, but 95% of the film is Kristi being defiled and debased by one evil bastard after another. She descends from that rarefied line of professional victims, and like South Park's Kenny or Mr. Bill on SNL, Kristi exists for the single purpose of being abused. Sure, she travels through time, but she never gets to enjoy the scenery. Hell, she doesn't even get a chance to get dressed. No one is nice to her, and everyone (including the audience) wants to see her suffer. And since KTM delivers Kristi's suffering in spades, I can let the occasional rubber spider pass.

An A+ for effort and originality, but given the film's limitations, Kristi still rates a solid A-.

So if you saw a great GIMP scene simply by itself and nothing before or after it, you would think it was a great scene, right? So why would a plot twist that happens 20 minutes or a half hour later ruin what you would have seen previously?

Sorry dude, but I'm with my fellow A Canadian on this one. I so much wanted Maleficarum to end with the burning scene, but that tacked on ending forever changed my appreciation of the film. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy the individual GIMP scenes for what they are, but knowing "how things really turned out" does affect my reaction to the overall picture. If by the time we reach the last frame of a supposedly downbeat finale, there is any whiff of consensual participation, redemption, happy outcomes, etc., I can't help but be disappointed. In fact, just knowing that there exists an alternate ending in which the heroine is rescued, was in on the game, wakes up from a dream (or *cough* survives), makes me feel cheated.

If the film is upfront about its motives, I can't fault it for concluding on a positive note. But if it implies a dire outcome, then suddenly pulls a twist ending to declare otherwise, I'm not pleased. And no, just stopping the film before the final reveal does not help me forget what actually occurs. However, I am curious how others feel about this. Do I smell a poll brewing?

I'm a stranger to the Teraz world, and I'm a bit undecided about the film. Certainly, Kristýna Lusková is quite hot. But I don't know if the campy nature of the movie would work for me or not. Perhaps I need to take the plunge and see for myself. (I'll try to find time later to wrestle with the idea that a campy movie would be an issue for someone like me who's a fan of the Ginger movies.)

I do need to correct one thing. You said the original mission of the Time Tunnel was never really explained. That's not actually true. In one of the early episodes, Lee Meriwether explained that the time travellers were trying to locate the "little people" on the Land of the Giants, to rescue them from the giant hand with the fingers that never moved.

I remember Ralphus posting pictures to a promising scene in a movie called The Watermen and that was almost a year ago I believe....I guess it suppose to have been released already. I've looked all over for the DVD and perhaps where to purchase it online and I haven't seen anything :(....I wonder what happened?

One objection I have, that irritates me probably more than anything else, is loose bondage. It should be illegal, if I were dictator anyone found guilty would be punished harshly. I think it's especially a problem in rape films. One would think that bondage and rape would complement each other nicely, but it doesn't seem to work out like that...either we get well-done bondage and some kind of variation on the D/s relationship, complete with "yes master, I'll be a good slave sir" or something similarly boring. Or, perhaps worse, a rape scene in which the rapist loops, or rather drapes some rope over his victim's wrists, and as she struggles the distance between her "bound" hands one could shove a football in. Once in a while I'll actually watch a bondage video that actually gets the requisite elements right, though, such as this UK production, from "Squeels Bondage":

There are a few exceptions, but generally well portrayed videos featuring well-applied restraint (particularly rope bondage) and non-consensual sex are few and far between IMO.

I really wish that those who make bondage films (and mainstream films, for that matter) wouldn't insult my intelligence in such a way. Hands tied in front is a grave affront to my intelligence. For example, the film "Wolf Creek" if anyone's seen it, featuring one prisoner of the film's resident maniac freeing herself by sawing through the zip tie that bound her wrists in front of her. I'm sure other people have seen bondage videos in which some woman has her hands tied in front of her, within full reach of her gag, but doesn't take it out for some reason. Ugggh I hate that.

Wow, this sure has been a busy forum lately! Lots of great posts about a wide range of topics. Sorry I haven't been around to post more often.

But I do have an update, of sorts. A movie I referenced a while back, "The Toy Box" - about the true story of sadist David Parker Ray - now has a release date of March 1, according to IMDB. I know it's usually not a good thing when a release date gets pushed back, but it is listed as "post-production", so here's hoping. The estimated budget of this film is only $20K, so I'm sure it won't be in mainstream theaters - more likely a straight-to-DVD release, I would guess. The trailer for the movie seems to have disappeared, so I guess we'll just have to keep watching for it. If done right, this could be an intriguing GIMP film.

Renzo Novatore: Great posting, man. I'm with you on every single point. The problem with most rape scenes is they often don't tie the girl properly, or in the case of some Japanese videos that a certain Canadian seems drawn toward, they don't even tie them at all. I can understand just holding her down, that's sort of quasi-bondage, but restraints are much, much better. I'm all about the bondage, you just gotta have it.

That is, assuming it's done correctly. Hands in front is, like you noted, an insult to our intelligence. Anyone who's serious about tying a girl up should always have them tied either behind her (which hurts more) or tied above her, which is totally effective and also hot as hell. Anything else just doesn't cut it for me.

"Skyrim" is a game with a lot of customizable features (or so I'm told -- I'm crappy at these games and live for clips). And now I find it has a torture chamber. See the video above (NOTE: a few seconds of male torture).

About a day or so I learned on a local news magazine program that our favorite incompetant slut Lindsay Lohan is in talks to play the role of Elizabeth Taylor in an upcomming Lifetime movie. Personally, I would rather see Lilo starring in a role were she gets eaten by zombies if you all know what I mean, ha ha ha!

Another film that really ticked the boxes and probably reinforced that deal for me was Tarzan and the Slave Girl. I know, tame in the extreme, but I was 13 or thereabouts and finally the sap was rising, so making the link of harem panted slave girls and same being whipped was easy watching that film.

The actual whipping scene is a hoot however. I love seeing the guy striding away after whipping our delicious Lola like he's nursing the type of hard-on I got watching it.

Also, its a nice back view of Lola as she's standing there tied to the column with her long tresses swept forward to fully bare her bolero clad back and she flapped about in those harem pants for the rest of the film. It was all great fun and given the predilections it switched on for me, perhaps not so harmless.

Thanks for pointing that out. Unfortunately, the download version does not have the subtitles which make the scenes with Spanish and Latin dialogue understandable. The subtitles also help with some of the heavily accented English. You won't get lost without them, but you'll miss a few chuckles and nuances. Also, the download version does not provide the DVD extras. On the other hand, it sells for $19, which is quite reasonable for a 107 minute GIMP video.

It may be that bondage neophytes (like filmmakers) truly have no idea what they are doing, and are too lazy to conduct the requisite research. Or maybe they think since they know how to tie a knot, then they are experts. Or perhaps they feel there is no art or science to it. I've seen a few productions where it is fairly apparent that the producers or directors don't think there is any art or science to movie making either. In any event, you would think that plain, old-fashioned common sense would make some things obvious--for example, if you tie the hands in front and gag the victim, it is easy for her to reach up and remove the gag. Or untie her own bonds. *sigh*

Here's a tip for some of this community's less HTML knowledgable posters. You don't always have to use paragraph start and paragraph end tags create seperate paragraphs. It's great to have you here. When I first saw Fantom Kiler 2 being advertised online 10 years ago, I didn't know anything about it, or even who or what Teraz Films was. But I took a chance and bought the movie based on 2 tiny stills I saw online of what looked like a woman tied to the hood of a car with jumper cables attached to her nipples. I've still got them. Here's what I saw:

And the great thing about the movie is that the bondage and nudity are not briefly glimpsed; they play it up from all different angles, and the scenes are all filmed like the director knows that the bondage is the most important part, which of course, it is :) I'll tell you one thing. There is NO WAY a movie like this would EVER get released in the United States. It appears to have been made for bondage fetishists, disguised as a horror film.

Roman, if you never made another film, this would be your legacy. But of course, you kept on making them, and I've liked more of your works since then. I know Mark of the Whip has a lot of fans here. I also liked Fantom Kiler 4 (although not nearly as much as 2). But there's still several I've not had the chance to see. I know it's hard to judge your own work, but what do you think is your best work, and which titles would you recommend to new fans who've never seen your stuff?

Are your films made in England or Poland? I was under the impression they were Polish but someone recently said that wasn't true. And a lot of your titles (well, the entire Fantom Kiler series, at least) seem to be awfully bloody. Do you consider your films to be horror movies, bondage fetish films, or more of a combination of both? Do you have a specific audience, or do you just make the kind of movies you want to see? Most artists seem to make movies that ring their own bells first, and then if people like them, that's a bonus.

One other question...if your films are made in England, have you come across any kind of censorship from the government? I was under the impression that England has pretty stringent anti-bondage laws, to the point where even their citizens can be arrested for possessing or downloading bondage material off the net. And your stuff is pretty hardcore, literally. Here in the states, Rick Masters of ZFX makes harsh bondage material, but the penetration is always simulated. Like I mentioned in my review, there was no way a film like yours could have been made here.

I was intrigued by the review of Fantom Kiler 2, but not completely persuaded. I was (and am) a bit put off by the highly stylized filmmaking technique and the bizarre camera angles, but you certainly do push the limits of what I am used to seeing in an extremely provocative manner. I am also a big fan of glistening, sweat-covered, hot female victims, and yours seem to fit that criteria very well. So I think KTM might be my first foray into Teraz.

Apologies for being so long getting back to people. Real life took a hectic turn for me in December, and I'm just getting things back on track now.

First, Ralphus, because, really, Ralphus always comes first!

Yes, Spandex. Spandex rocks. especially the shiny kind. It accentuates every curve of a woman, and while you wouldn't think it, it also hides a world of sins. It keeps things packed in, hides veins, tats and all sorts of other stuff. Plus it peels off really nicely when the time comes. Plus, it works a lot of ways. Catsuits, dresses, skirts, tights...all good, IMO. Ironically, my favorite color is black, but it the absolute worst color to use in movies, as it washes out in all but really bright lighting. Brighter colors work better, like purple, pink or white. Vacum was a good example of this. Tight black spandex, but you couldn't see it doing its job on the curves because Rick didn't have nuclear-powered lamps.

Next, Rick. Brother, you know I love you, but I feel you are selling yourself short with your site. You did some really imaginative and cool 3D art, had an excellent catalog with pictures...your site was fabulous. It also led to me buying a lot of your stuff because it was right at my fingertips and I could see everything I needed to know what I wanted.

You have a lot to offer as a multidimensional artist, something that probably gets overlooked because of the genre you work with. As someone who does not indulge his artistic side enough I can tell that you have way more expression and value to offer. You've already inspired this site and provided me with much of my best-loved bondage entertainment for about 20 years now. Have a little fun with it, sez I. And make more mad scientist stuff like Ballista 2 and 3, the Doc Bondage series and the Metal series. I'm jonesing here ;-)

I will be able to fully answer questions in more detail in a day or two's time as right now I am preparing for a new shoot later this month - in darkest Moravia. (Being on different time zones doesn't help too).

To quickly clear up one thing, "Fantom Kiler" is the Polish spelling but sounds almost exactly the same as the English (but with more of a roll on the R). Now be honest, there aren't that many Polish film titles non Poles can pronounce are there? And if you can't pronounce a film, how are you going to ask for it (We are talking of the days before the internet really took off - which was not really that long ago in the history of things).......

Just checking the buzz on our new Teraz Films release Kristi and the Time Machine starring the luscious Kristy Lust. This is my first visit to GIMP, any questions, I'll be happy to answer, if not, then its been nice talking to myself.

As with most forums, the GIMP attracts a relatively small sample of contributors from its much larger readership. Ralphus says over a thousand folks drop by daily. So even if no one responded to you, hundreds of people will read your post, and hopefully some of them will buy a copy of Kristi. But as you can see, you are not talking to yourself, and a few of us will even have some questions for you.

In any case, welcome and thanks for posting. And although I feel I've already pestered you enough in our past e-mail exchanges, I can't resist taking advantage of your kind offer by throwing you a few questions here.

First: based on what you've told me, you seem to have at least three bases of operations: England, Poland and the Czech Republic. I'm guessing your sales office is in London because that's where my orders are sent from. On your site you have an advert for your studio, which is in Brno. And you also frequent Warsaw regularly. Most low budget producers complain they don't have the funds to travel across town, let alone hop from country to country. Why do you do this, and how do you make it work?

Second: most, if not all your talent is East European. This probably ties into my first question, but why hire off-shore rather than employ local talent (which would presumably allow you to shoot in the UK)? Is it a matter of economics, are the East European women more attractive, or is it for some other reason?

Third: why the masks for many of the male actors? The Fantom Kiler series did not use them (except for the star himself, of course), but they are a staple of more recent productions. Is it to preserve the actors' anonymity, to allow a single actor to play multiple roles, or is it a stylistic element?

Finally, do you get product placement dollars from J&B, and what's the story with the rug beaters?

Replying to Fritz first:

1) CZ is the country of operation now. The only Polish gal to appear in a Teraz Film was Kate Blond from Gdansk (MOW1 and MOW2) (But filmed in Brno) Expect to see her full hard whipping scene on the Teraz Site next month (VOD). The reason so few Polkas - Poland is still very Catholic (the Catholic Church was behind Solidarnosc in the 80/90s and so they still have a strong say - something Palikot and others are trying to change). So Polkas don't mind selling their bods but they don't want people knowing about it.

Czech Divkas are more open as Catholicism isn't so strong after they burnt CZ hero Priest Jan Hus back in 1415). So there is a greater feel of liberation in CZ. If you go to bars like the Husa in Brno almost every other girl is a porn star and at discos you can see lesbian couples openly kissing (ever thought you may have been born in the wrong country!) So CZ has the biggest choice of hot babes open for business - but don't get me wrong - the price is the same as the USA.

FK1, 2, 3 were shot in the UK and the main three girls were English, Irish and Siberian ... oh and Russian/Israeli. From 2004 on all the girls are Czech (FS1, FS2, MOW1..etc) except for Kate Blond (Kasia).

There are great looking women everywhere but there seems to be more choice in CZ and Poland. I don't know why - the girls don't exercise, eat crap food, smoke. I guess they have good genes but because of their lifestyle doesn't always last long. Brnovians joke about the Roman nose and many models like Hana Liska have these. Models like Sandra Kay, Tiffany Lust and Melissa Mia have a definite Latin look about them. Very intense eyes that film well.

Masks: Many good reasons, but hard to film (girl has to be well lit- masks need to be half lit to be believable). Too many reasons to go into details here - but without masks Teraz Films would be impossible.

J&B - any giallo fan will know that this is an ongoing Italian joke from the 70s (but well spotted). I got into a lot of trouble with PRIVATE FILMS for this and had to edit out every shot of J&B - they thought they would be sued)

RUG BEATERS: What's wrong with rug beaters? Cheap, eco friendly and good exercise. Lets have more of them, I say!

Well, we've had to wait 4 years to get a sequel to one of the most ambitious mainstream GIMP films in recent memory, the modern-day classic Hostel: Part 2. Whatever your feelings on how successful Eli Roth's film was in satisfying your GIMP sensibilities, you have to admit it was a huge step in the right direction as far as making tied-up women the focal point in a horror film that was designed to play in theaters to a wide audience. Unfortunately, the wide audience never materialized; the film was a box office disappointment. After the first Hostel was a huge success by featuring men tied up and tortured and the sequel featuring women as victims...not so much...which direction would you go if you were in charge of producing Part 3? If you're thinking sausage-fest, congratulations, you can screw up a good thing just as well as these brainless filmmakers did!

This is not to say that Hostel: Part III is total zero as far as giving us GIMP-worthy action, but for the most part, it's a big tease and a film full of missed opportunities. It's mainly a film about men who are captured, tied down and have horribly torturous things done to them. But that doesn't stop the filmmakers from casting some incredibly beautiful women and then in nearly every situation wasting a chance to do something bad to them.

For instance, check out sexy blonde Anka, played by Evelina Oboza.

In the first 5 minutes, she's shown briefly nude, then taken away by the bad guys, who zap her a few times with an electric prod to keep her in line as she's led away to what will likely be an exciting and torture-filled experience. Except we never see what becomes of her. The filmmakers apparently didn't think that was important enough to show us.

And then there's Amy, wife of the main character, played by Kelly Thiebaud. Absolutely stunning woman. What happens to her? Nothing.

Then to tease us further, there's this topless waitress (Cassie Keller) who is seen 3 or 4 times and exists only to supply us with bountiful eye candy. My goodness, this woman is jaw-droppingly hot. She's a minor character so I didn't expect any GIMPage from her, but if I were casting the movie, she would be the star and I would make damn sure she got the treatment.

Okay, continuing on, we have Kendra, played by the beautiful Sarah Habel. She is the main female lead and gets involved with the men who are being tortured and killed as sport by the sadistic club members. What happens to her? She gets locked in a cage. Ho hum. Oh, and at the end, she gets shot as she's trying to escape with the men. Ho hum again. Starting to sense a pattern here?

One more chance. Her friend is Nikki, played by Zulay Henao. And she represents the only GIMP-worthy scene of the entire film, albeit quite short, lasting just a total of 3 and a half minutes.

However, I think it's a very good scene. We don't see any kind of capture, but when we do see her, she's already been strapped down to a gurney (fully clothed) and is tightly gagged with a ballgag. Very nice to see that ballgags are becoming more and more popular in mainstream films. The bad guy picks out a cheerleader outfit for her to wear while she makes some wonderful squeals through her gag.

When we see her next, she's wearing the cheerleader outfit and she's now bound in a mostly vertical position to a large metal table. Still wearing the ballgag, she looks quite nice. The villain removes her gag and squirts a bottle of some sort of solution into her mouth and down her cleavage, talking to her in Russian about what he's doing. She clearly can't understand him, so he switches briefly to English, telling her "Nice and sweet, like you".

Then he shows her a large glass aquarium filled with some huge, scary-looking cockroaches. He picks one up and taunts the screaming, struggling girl by bringing it close to her. Then he returns to the aquarium, scoops up a large container of the nasty creatures, and flips the table down to a horizontal position.

All it takes now is for him to dump the container over top of her, and they swarm over her, concentrating on her wide open mouth. In they go, and there's this ridiculous angle shown from inside her mouth as the cockroaches scurry down her throat and she chokes to death. It's a squeamish scene, to be sure, but the actual cockroach segment is very brief, so it's not as bad as you might think. What I liked was all the lovely suspense and squirming the pretty victim did before her ultimate denouement.

But here's a question. You've got a sexy cheerleader strapped down to a table, is dumping bugs on her the best thing you can come up with to do to her? Really? And of course, when it comes to showing us the men being tortured, they linger over those scenes. Comparatively, the one female scene goes by in a flash. It's thrown in, apparently, just to pacify the fans of the second film. Because good heavens, everybody knows the real reason everybody else watches these movies is to see dudes in distress, right?

My grade: C-

I could tell you I'm shocked and saddened by the approach the filmmakers have taken -- but, really, I'm not surprised at all. I can't even work up a decent level of disappointment.

Perhaps "brainless" wasn't the best adjective to describe this decision. How about "sell-out"? Is there a word that means compromising one's artistic vision for the lure of more millions? Everyone bows down to the God of Money. Movie-making is a business, not an art form. Everybody prefers to take the safe route instead of doing something bold and different...and we end up with the same old crap every time. Give Eli Roth credit for making a very good movie that had refreshingly misogynistic elements, even though it didn't make him nearly as much money as the first one. It did still turn a $7 million profit, though.

One other note: Ralphus says the guy who directed the movie appears to have compromised his artistic vision by turning the movie into a "sausage fest." We're assuming, I guess, that the director is heterosexual.

First, not everyone who makes a movie has, or even pretends to have, artistic integrity. Making movies is what they like to do, and their goal is to have fun in a job they like, to be successful, and to do whatever the money people or focus groups tell them will maximize profits. They are not necessarily bad filmmakers. They are probably intent on making technically good movies, with storylines that make sense, performers who are believable and engaging, direction that moves the plot forward, and, for some, special effects that have a definite wow factor. They are not Picasso, but who needs Picasso when you just want your house painted?

Second, not everyone has the same vision. Although I see A Canadian beat me to mentioning it, Eli Roth's idea of a hot scene might well be naked young men being tortured. In which case he is actually selling out when he includes a naked young woman victim, in order to pander to the GIMP crowd. Or maybe his idea of a hot scene has nothing to do with sex or nudity and everything to do with violent death and blood, and his choice of victims and the prurient aspects of their demise secondary considerations. Maybe he is a thanatophile. In that case, his artistic integrity is safe, as far as I am concerned.

Again, you're assuming that Roth's "vision" is the same as yours. It could easily be that he's a "bi-sadist", or even PREFERS torturing men. You must admit it's at least possible. To say that he's a "sell-out" would imply that somewhere he had said that he liked GIMPing more than BIMPing.

Sure, if I was offered several million dollars to direct the picture of my fantasy, it would look a LOT more like the bath scene from H2 -- but it would look even more like a JohnM Production writ large -- and you would be moaning about how I was a brainless sell-out for killing the girls instead of keeping them alive.

One of James Cameron's best scenes was the death of Iris in "Strange Days". But I don't call him brainless or a sell-out for having no similar scene in "Avatar".

Clint Eastwood made at least one "Man With No Name" and similar Western and at least one Dirty Harry movie to fund movies like "Bird" that he knew would be money-losers. By the time he made "Unforgiven", he was able to meld the two -- integrity and profit, and from there he's concentrated almost exclusively on vision -- because he can.

There is a group of movie viewers...I have no idea who they are, or how many there are...who couldn't care less whether the victims are males or females. What they want to see is bloody, gory torture and death...the more inventive and numerous the kills are, the more they enjoy the movie. Not being judgmental here...just saying. They write reviews for IMDb, Amazon, whatever...and in their minds, what constitutes a "disappointing" movie is one that lacks torture and killing in the quantity and quality they desire. The "Hostel" and "Saw" franchises are examples of what they seek.

Why do these movies tend to feature the torture and killing of men? Maybe because there are limits to what most "mainstream" movie-makers will do to a woman onscreen, while there are no such limits for male victims. Just a thought.

I really doubt that movies aimed at wider audiences will ever treat men and women equally when it comes to torture and death. Oh, there are some moments, as in Hostel II, and Jacqueline Lovell's BATS scene in Head of the Family (which I viewed last night...again). I'm just convinced that such scenes are going to always be few and far between.

That's why I'm grateful that we have folks like Red Feline, Pachamama, Andreas Bethmann, and of course, Roman Nowicki. They torture women, and keep the gore factor at a reasonable level.

For those of you with nothing planned tonight, The Spade County Massacre is being streamed on its official website in a free preview for a 12 hour window starting tonight.

From the site: "The Spade County Massacre is officially unrated, however it is a horror movie with incredibly graphic scenes, violence, and nudity." IMDB also has some plot keywords that sound pretty promising. The movie stills look pretty good too.

The plot is basically that there's this disturbed psycho on the loose causing mayhem in a small town. I'll post about it again if it's any good.

Actually, Kathryn Bigelow directed Strange Days, though Cameron did write the script along with the unfortunately named Jay Cocks. In fact, we probably should credit (or blame) the writers for the content of GIMP films, not the directors. I would imagine the writers are the ones who establish the sex of the victims.

And to add my thoughts here, for a "mainstream" release like Hostel: Part III, I doubt if those who pen the script give much thought to whether the audience finds male or female victims more enticing using the criteria we do. Given established horror film conventions, I'm sure they realize most hetero male viewers enjoy seeing attractive women on screen, preferably with minimal clothing, but their primary goal is to make a scary movie, not pander to a specific subgroup which wanks to the sight of a GIMPette getting her due. And yes, writers probably do worry about offending the distaff film-goers by pouring all the peril on the girls.

More than likely, the moguls who finance the productions are the final arbiters, and it is they whom the writers must impress. And we all know how that works in Hollywood: Jaws comes out of nowhere and makes a fortune, and we all get to watch sharks chow down on hapless swimmers for the next five years. I suspect Hostel: Part II made the women the focus of the story not to appeal to GIMP-loving males, but rather to mix up the story a bit, to differentiate the plot from the original. Having tried that, and maybe realizing it doesn't necessarily work, the producers play it safe and return to the original formula with Part III.

I have yet to see a torture porn film which is a true GIMP movie, one which I could say unquestionably was written by someone who shares our interests. In almost all cases, the writer's artistic vision, if there is one, is driven by a love of horror films, not by a fetishistic interest in watching women suffer. I'm hard-pressed to think of any theatre release where it is apparent that the film was aimed squarely at the GIMP community, or was written by a member of it. The Ilsa films come to mind, but they played mainly in porn and grindhouse venues, as did ISOYG and other exploitation fare. Although Ilsa, She Wolf of the SS made money hand over fist, there just aren't enough of us for producers to risk a public backlash by releasing something that appeals mainly to GIMPers - so the most we'll ever get from the mainstream is the occasional GIMP scene to spice up an otherwise bland flick.

I think most of us are pleased that Ralphus and others write about "mainstream garbage". Female Private Investigator (IPTD-825) is your standard-issue captured-spy story with one significant difference: It stars stunning JAV superstar Rio (aka Tina Yuzuki). A seasoned performer, Rio has some great moments as the heroine, looking credibly distressed and delivering gasps and whimpers that are aural delights. And she looks exceptionally sexy in her tight black latex catsuit.

As anyone who's watched this type of Japanese porn flick will know, the focus is on sexual activity rather than torture. Naturally, Rio gets raped, although that part of the movie is weak (way too vanilla). Other moments are much better, such as the scene where Rio is forced to suck a villain's gun. The movie is uneven but stronger than expected.

The first half-hour of the film is a write-off. Rio gives in to one of her male superiors and the guy has his way with Rio. At the 30-minute mark, the movie shifts into GIMP mode, with Rio infiltrating a warehouse of mobsters. Rio gets into a gunfight and although she appears to be overpowered (Rio has a handgun while some of the villains have machine guns), she manages to take out a couple of gangsters.

  

Rio is then confronted with a surprise -- the villains have a male hostage, a bloody and beaten guy that Rio knows. Rio is forced to surrender, and one villain takes away her gun while a second guy cuffs her wrists behind her back.

Two of the mobsters have the male hostage bound to a chair, with his pants missing. He is wearing only his bloodied white dress shirt and black undies, and a gun is pointed at his head. Rio is seated on the floor in front of them, her hands still cuffed behind her back. One villain crouches in front of Rio and points his gun at her face, threatening and taunting her. The villain then decides to learn about Rio's BJ skills. He sticks his gun in front of Rio's soft lips and forces her to suck it.

Liking what he sees, the villain orders Rio to give the gun a full oral massage, using her tongue and working her lips along the gun's barrel. Off to the side, the male hostage groans and squirms as Rio reluctantly complies (complete with loud sucking noises). Adding to the humiliation, the fiend with the gun gives Rio verbal encouragement.

The villains decide to test how Rio does with the real thing. The male hostage's undies are removed and Rio is ordered, at gunpoint, to kneel in front of the hostage and suck the guy's pecker. Rio slowly leans forward, puts her mouth around the hostage's dick, and starts blowing the guy. While she's not into deep throat, Rio gives the hostage decent head as the villains chuckle. The mobster behind Rio opens the detective's catsuit so he can play with her tits. Rio squirms as her boobies are squeezed but she continues sucking the hostage.

Ultimately, the hostage cums on Rio's face. The villains force Rio to rub her face against the dick to wipe up some remaining drops. The scene ends with a nice close-up of Rio's cum-stained face.

In a new scene, a cleaned up Rio is kneeling on the floor, with two villains gripping her arms to hold her in position. The main gangster kneels in front of Rio and forces deep kisses on her. He also licks Rio's face as Rio struggles to get free. The lead gangster opens Rio's top (which was zipped up again in this new scene) and feels up her tits. He then forces more deep kisses on Rio, as the heroine grunts and groans in disgust.

As two guys continue to restrain Rio by the arms, the main gangster sucks on Rio's left boob. Rio is panting and squirming but she is held in place as her breast is licked.

One of the villains holding Rio's arms decides to join in, and Rio gasps in despair as she's about to be mauled by two guys. The second guy forces deep kisses on Rio while the lead gangster continues to suck her left tit.

Villain No. 2 then moves down to help his boss suck Rio's tits. Both guys briefly lick Rio's boobs simultaneously, and then they each take turns. Rio squirms and protests and there are some nice shots of Rio's outraged expressions as her nipples are licked.

The lead gangster undoes the bottom of Rio's catsuit, and Rio is laid down on her back so the lead villain can lick and finger Rio's pussy. The other two guys restrain Rio's arms and legs, keeping her legs spread apart. Rio puts up a struggle, once again to no avail. Some of this scene gets a little vanilla, as one of the guys puts his finger in Rio's mouth to get his finger sucked. But for the most part it's pretty hot, and Rio's whimpering and squirming is particularly effective when the lead villain decides to rim her butt hole. Once the licking is done, two villains hoist Rio up into a squatted position in the air, and the lead mobster fingers Rio until she cums.

Up next, Rio is forced to blow the guys. She is then violated by the three men. Neither scene is worth describing in detail. The blow-job moments include Rio being forced to rub the other guys' dicks, which look phony. And the rapes have a number of positions such as cowgirl that also aren't believable. Both scenes can be easily skipped, although the rapes do end with some loads on Rio's face.

Back in GIMP-land, Rio -- cleaned up and fully dressed again -- is bound arms over head to the ceiling. The lead gangster shows up, verbally intimidates Rio, and then unzips her catsuit.

The villain finger fucks Rio, as Rio whimpers and twists about. Despite her soft protests, Rio ultimately moistens the villain's hand.

There's more to cum. The villain uses two vibrators on Rio, a massager vibrator and a dildo-shaped vibrator, and both get pretty Rio shakin' and squealing. Sometimes both vibrators are used at the same time; other times they're used individually. And they hit the jackpot. The vibrators make the sweating and quivering Rio squirt three times in this 15-minute scene, with one blast soaking the camera lens.

The movie's finale is a bit odd. Rio ultimately escapes and ends up in an interrogation room, dressed in civilian clothes and looking drugged. Two male cops have their way with Rio. Rio also pleasures herself with a vibrator. I wasn't into it.

My grade: B+

If the filmmakers had got the rapes right, this movie would have ranked among the best. As is, it's flawed but still has a number of scenes worth seeing. Particularly since the star, Rio, is so damn hot (Now, if I could just get that stupid Duran Duran song out of my head). Fans of this type of film should check it out.

I typically don't understand gorehounds, but they are clearly out here. I don't know if they get a sexual charge out of seeing someone get bloodily tortured and killed, but if it truly doesn't matter to them if the victim is male or female, that makes perfect sense. If that's the case, then they must love "torture porn". Myself and others like the bondage and torture aspect more than the gore. Too much blood can ruin a scene. For instance, I liked the Heather Matarazzo scene in Hostel: Part 2 because she was suspended upside down naked. A gorehound would probably only like it because she got sliced up so badly that she looked like she was doused in barbecue sauce by the end.

To me, bondage is a sexual thing. Therefore, it's important that the victim be female. If thanatophiles and gorehounds don't care about the gender as long as there's gore, then no, it's not selling out. It's likely that the "torture porn" genre wasn't even made for bondage fans, since we only enjoy certain aspects of it.

I quite enjoyed the "Woman Called Horse" homage in which Zora Kerova is hoisted by her modest assets in Cannibal Ferox. But these examples are more rooted in horror and gore than anything to do with flesh-eating. At the conclusion of both Man from Deep River and Eaten Alive, Me Me Lai is sliced open, disemboweled, stuffed with red-hot rocks and cooked from the inside out. I saw a book with Cameron's notes on the screenplay and he was downright apologetic about the rape-murder. In this case at least, I think it was the director who came through for us.

That's true as far as it goes. There are a lot of people who love head-shots (it seems like most of the posters at DeadSkirts are like this) but I'm not one of them. For me, the death must be part of the torture. Slow, painful and humiliating -- that's what makes a good death scene.

Likewise, for Bijou Phillips, I would slowly sliced her clothes away, opened her legs up wide and then punched her in the gut and pussy a couple of times. I would also have used the mouth-ring the way it's supposed to be used. Her death would come slowly as she sobbed and moaned.

Had to smile to myself. I was reading 'The Mongols'. And thinking I don't remember seeing a salacious whipping scene in that one. I just remember John Wayne stumbling through an equally atrocious script!!!

You're mixing up The Mongols with The Conqueror (1956), the howlingly bad movie with John Wayne as Genghis Khan and co-starring Susan Hayward. Unfortunately, she doesn't get whipped.

I thought after watching the much discussed and long awaited Maleficarum, it warranted an quick IMO and so like it or not, here it is.

I first want to say an enormous thank you for Gerry Bear without whom etc etc. Gerry, with no pressure from me, kindly offered this film to me and I will hasten to say, your good deed for 2012 is certainly paid for in my book and a grateful thanks. Hope somebody does the same for you some time.

I enjoyed the film a lot. Such a change to see a film that pays off the way you want it to and no fear that you are going to miss the real action.

I thought the production values, photography and set were all excellent and I will say I could have stood to watch any of those Bolivian babes racked up and tortured, they were all pretty tasty.

The acting was not too bad, though I guess neither Amy or Mila were acting too much in those torture scenes, that stuff just had to hurt.

The tortures themselves were in my opinion extremely good. The whippings were brilliant, especially the last one given to Mila tied to that beam, which I thought was excellent. It had that judicial inevitability element to it and as such I think it worked well. The way the whips wrapped around the bodies was superb and I found myself even grinning at times.

I was also intrigued by the savage looking rackings. The rack looked authentic enough, though I was given to understand that this thing was put together by Amy herself. Talk about making a rod for your own back. Even so, I did wonder how they ensured they did not overdo the torture there and wondered if they employed a safe word to utter. The men turning the winch seemed to be putting the pressure on and both bodies looked well racked out, but then...do we care guys? I guess not!!

The only torture scene that did nothing for me was...sorry to say this Ralphus... but it was the spit roasting one. It was well done and Amy was prettily bound, but as a torture it passed me by. I felt the same about the burning scene at the end too, but that's just because it's not my bag. I know there are a lot of people that love burning at the stake scenes. What I will say is, how the hell did they pull that one off without totally toasting her pinkies?

I also to my eternal shame liked the rape scene. I hated myself for enjoying it, but it was what I would have wanted to do after watching and working with all that bare female flesh. When he first flicked that gown to bare her backside, I thought for a second he was going to brand it. That would have been a lovely touch because, wow, what a backside Amy has!

Amy is a delicious looking babe and both the actresses have lovely bodies. All too often people seem to think that thin is best. One day they will realize that skinny birds are a turn off, you need well proportioned bodies like these.

I thought the switching of scenes to see the denouncement of the captives worked well. I have heard criticism of this, but for me it was fine. It gave you an overview without the boredom factor of watching minute after minute of endless talking heads. That was a clever way around the problem of maintaining content and not losing the interest. It was interesting also to hear the condemnations becoming ever more absurd as a sort of hysteria overtook the population which had to serve to condemn the women irrevocably.

My one criticism is this. I would have liked more direct dialogue in the torture chamber. Perhaps the girls could have done a bit more plaintive wailing rather than just cries of pain and the torturer could have been a malicious SOB goading the girls as he whipped and tortured them.

Even the inquisitor could have been a bit more exhortative with them as he tried to urge them to a confession. Done as it was, it seemed almost like a re-enactment. As though we weren't really in that torture chamber with them, but we were watching what happened a long time ago and that was as I could see, the only failing of the film. It may well have been deliberate, but I don't think that paid off too well.

I have also heard complaints about the end, but for me it was OK. I didn't much mind how it ended, either with Amy's death and Mila's salvation or both of their demises.

I would like to comment on the porn question if I may. Throughout and now, I never viewed this a porn film and I do not after watching it. The word porn has connotations of sleazy, midnight viewings with a group of drunken mates. This went well beyond that, it was a complete work. A film with a beginning, middle and end with a force driving the story on to its inevitable conclusion. It was surely voyeuristic, but then so too was 'The Story of O' and few but the unknowing would term that porn. I think it is a credit to Pachama that people discuss Maleficarum and The Story of O at the same time and perhaps that alone categorizes this production.

I was extremely pleased to have acquired a copy of the film and do not feel in anyway cheapened by having seen and enjoyed the film. I would like to commend Pachama and the team on the high standard of work and the levels that they have set for yourselves and I surely hope that there will be other works to back this up.

On the contrary, I think just the opposite is true. In some of Rick's earlier movies, he employed sound tricks like an echo effect that was distracting. In fact, when he remastered them for DVD some years ago, he eliminated that aspect and improved them by doing so. It was a matter of him maturing as a filmmaker and realizing that his movies didn't need those extra gimmicks to be great entertainments.

And while I love his whole body of work, it's his later movies that stick out to me as being among his best in terms of storyline and the production as a whole.

See, once again, I have to disagree with you. Blakemore's Tourist Trap is one of the great classics of bondage cinema...I think it's the best thing he ever made in terms of sound films, and I think it still stands up today, despite the lower quality of the technology used back then. However, I also feel each of the South of the Border films IMPROVED on the Blakemore original, which is saying something. That's ZFX's best series of films, and they made some very good ones.

Yep, I heard about that. BUSTED! Ironically, it occurred the very next day after the Internet blackout. I'm obviously against SOPA and PIPA, although in principle, I support what they're trying to do. It was just a poorly worded bill that gave too much power to the government and would have been catastrophic. MegaUpload and Rapidshare, among others, have made countless millions by providing access for illegal activity. Like the article stated, not all the files they stored were someone else's copyrighted material, but they knew what they were doing was wrong.

I read that MegaUpload auto-expired links on a fast schedule. You couldn't search the site. Instead, "agents" uploaded DVD rips, then posted the links to various mailing lists and web sites. The agents were paid. The links were good for a few weeks to a few months, then poof! no content, no evidence... or so they thought.

I've brought this up before about my Internet Czar idea, one that we concluded ultimately wouldn't work because the government likely wouldn't stop at just going after sites for copyright violations. But I would have no problem with them shutting down the uploading companies and the numerous sites on the net whose sole purpose was providing a haven for stolen material. Go after the big offenders instead of making huge, sweeping changes that would affect everyone.

And good news to announce today. The Senate just announced today that the vote on SOPA and PIPA has been postponed "in light of recent events." In other words, they took a look at the numbers and found out that Americans don't want their Internet to be censored. Check out these numbers:

It is the nature of sexism that a man who sleeps with hot younger women is to be admired and envied, whereas an older woman who sleeps with younger men is somehow... wrong. I say, more power to her. I may be wrong, but I do think, unfair as it is, that men sometimes get more distinguished looking with age while women just tend to get older. That is my personal observation, though, and not supported by any verifiable study data.

"Cougar" is a relatively new term, though, in reference to an older woman who is involved with a younger man, and may or may not survive the test of time. The animal, however, has been around for quite a while and will most likely always be called a cougar, even after extinction. Being afraid of being made fun of if they choose "cougar" as a mascot says much more about the people involved, and I think a much more appropriate mascot for them would be "Pussies."

There are high schools that have a "Trojan" as a mascot, choosing to see themselves as fierce warriors instead of sheaths of rubber, after all. That doesn't stop petty rivals from making fun of them, but that's life. Suck it up.

There are already many teams across the country who use the name "Cougars", including the University of Houston. So the issue is -- should that name suddenly be forbidden for use by any scholastic program because someone might find it offensive? It's the name of an animal. Lots of teams are named after animals. Should the Chicago Bears change their name because the word "bear" is used to mean something totally different in the "gay" community (another perfectly useful word in the past that has taken on a whole different meaning)?

For that matter, when someone who is hobbled by an ankle injury is described as "gimpy", is the use of that word now circumspect because of its unintended reference to this site?

Since we've been talking about time travel of late, let's plunge into the swirling vortex and seek out GIMPage from bygone days. The year is 1971, when depictions of bikers and hippies and nekkid girls flickered on the screens of drive-ins and grindhouses all across America.

This forgotten gem features 1-1/2 rapes, some nice clothes-ripping action, two of the best female-struggling-while-naked-or-topless segments I've ever seen, a guy slapping a woman's face repeatedly, and just a lot of mean, nasty behavior in general.

Pretty hippie Kristy - sporting a headband, tie-dyed shirt and bell-bottom jeans - fears that her ex-boyfriend, biker-gang leader Reb, will find her and punish her for escaping his clutches. As she explains the predicament to her commune-dwelling brother Jeff, she quotes Reb as saying,"If you ever take off, I'll find you and kill you, you fucking whore," In a flashback sequence narrated by Kristy, she tells Jeff about the night Reb's biker buddies gang-banged her friend Carol.

When the scene begins, Carol is already naked, blindfolded and being held off the ground in a spread-eagle position by some members of Reb's gang. She struggles mightily, and screams as they remove the blindfold so she can see what's about to happen. There are several close-ups of her torso twisting and turning as her tits get groped. Reb pours beer on her luscious body, causing it to glisten in the faint light. This is a very intense, action-packed scene, but no penetration is shown.

"They fucked the shit out of her," Kristy sobs, "...and I just stood there drinking my goddamn beer." The girl is cute, but she talks like a sailor.

Anyway, she and her brother head back to the rustic commune, which features acres of pastureland, barnyard animals, about ten mixed-gender residents, and a pacifist leader named Alex. Alex says that if Reb and his boys arrive, they will try to "reason" with them. His followers aren't quite sure that's going to work.

Meanwhile, Reb learns Kristy's location by torturing the grocer that the commune buys food from. (A sharp pencil and a road flare are put to use here). In short order, they arrive at the commune and start threatening everyone if they don't produce Kristy.

While Kristy is hiding in the barn, Carol distracts one of the men, by showing her assets, as Kristy's brother Jeff tries to sneak up behind him. The plan fails, and Kristy takes off on horseback (this girl can really ride). Reb and his gang pursue on their bikes. She ducks into a wooded area but is knocked off her horse. The men catch up and grab hold of Kristy, who puts up one heluva fight.

Reb unbuttons Kristy's shirt, revealing a sweet pair of natural breasts. Kristy tries to make a break but the men tackle her and rip her shirt off in the melee. Yes! Now she's topless in blue jeans (Double Yes!), looking up at Reb who is about to pull his zipper open.

"I want you to see what you're going to get!" he says.

(Let's pause to consider this - since she's Reb's ex-girlfriend, the probability is very high that she has already seen what Reb is about her show her. Am I right?)

Suddenly, Reb changes his mind - he wants to wait until later, when all the guys can get a turn. WTF? Instead, they pop some kind of drug into her mouth.

Then they wrap Kristy in a blanket, gag and tie her so that she is suspended between two motorcycles. And away they go.

From a side angle, it's not clear whether there is actually a human inside the blanket as they roll down the road. In views shot from above, Kristy appears to be moving above a road surface, but the motorcycles are not shown. In any case, I've never seen this kind of thing displayed in a movie before.

The gang stops at a tavern to do some drinking and gambling, after depositing the still-wrapped Kristy behind some bushes. She wiggles out to the roadside where she is spotted by another biker gang with a grudge against Reb.

They take Kristy back to the commune and await the second assault by Reb's gang. When the bikers appear, a melee ensues between them and the biker/hippie coalition, featuring knives, pitchforks, chairs, bottles and just about any other objects that are available. Men fight men, women fight men, it's all kind of rollicking and some of it seems to be unscripted - or at least unrehearsed - the way you would expect such a clash to be.

At the peak of the action, Reb grabs Kristy, cocks his arm back and sends her flying with a vicious punch.

Kristy flees, but Reb follows, tackling her in the middle of a field. He slaps her several times, although some of them are obvious in their fakery.

All that remains is for Alex to grow a pair and rescue Kristy. I won't give away the ending, but that's it for the GIMPage.

As a bonus, the viewer gets to see police cars chase a horde of bikers across open terrain while the opening credits roll, accompanied by nifty, harmonica-driven country rock. Even a genuine VW microbus makes an appearance.

I liked the clothes-ripping, the girls were natural and luscious, and their resistance was spirited and entertaining, for me at least. The rape scene was a bit jerky and dark, but it was also lengthy and close-up, no long-distance shots. It's too bad the GIMPage only involved two girls, but what was done, was done well.

No one got any Oscar nominations for this one, but the performances were earnest and energetic. This is outstanding for drive-in fare. My grade: B

In this part of the review, I usually state that the two lead actresses were never seen or heard from again. But it's not true. Actually, both moved on to successful showbiz careers that continue to the present day.

So to all of you aspiring actresses out there I say, don't be shy about taking on a role that forces you to strip and be manhandled - it may just be the springboard to fame and fortune. And great entertainment for us.

BTW, the drug they give Kristy before they take her on the wild ride between 2 motorcycles is LSD. How could you miss the line where one of the bikers tells her "ACID, BABY, ACID"? I can still remember word for word some of the taunts they gave her. That scene is engrained in my mind because the dialogue is so over the top and cliched. It sounds exactly like what a gang of bikers would say in a 1970s biker movie, which is why it's so much fun.

One other point I brought up here before. If you look in Leonard Maltin's movie reviews book, he dismisses the movie with this capsule description: "Motorcycle hoods ravage peaceful commune like Attila the Hun. Sick, Sick, Sick."

Is that a recommendation for GIMPers or what?

Netflix's print is gorgeous; supposedly the movie isn't officially on DVD but if you search the net, you'll find places offering it. Might be a VHS transfer, not sure. At any rate, it's a real overlooked title that deserves to be seen by a new generation of GIMPers. Seek it out if you can find it.

YikYakker: Thank you for the illustrated review of The Peace Killers. Although it had a couple of nice scenes, I have never liked the movie. Even years ago when I first watched it, I was turned off by its pretentious and simplistic plot, hideously bad acting, and that typical 70's flavor so prevalent in low-budget flicks by directors with questionable talent of that era. I think your vidcaps make it seem more titillating than it is during the watching.

I can't argue with the sizzling visual of the topless hippie chick in blue jeans being held down and surrounded by horny bikers, but not doing her then and there with animal savagery was such a missed GIMP opportunity. The flashback rape was not bad, but too brief and with way too many cutaways. Very attractive actresses, though. This is just one of those movies where, under other circumstances I would be thankful it was as revealing and GIMP-ish as it was, but it had such promise that I resent it for not delivering more. I think we've all been there.

But thanks for the blast from the past. I hadn't watched that movie in years--well, more likely decades--so it was kind of fun dusting it off (so to speak) and checking it out again.

But I understand your point. Probably by many GIMPers' standards, the scenes are relatively tame. For me, the titillation factor comes from the struggling of the victims...that really floats my boat. Others will feel differently about it.

A fantasy of a woman being sensually tortured (without a river of blood) or even taken against her will could be very exciting. But I don't see how you can call it sexually exciting, and I hope others here share it with me, watching a woman being killed by being either being hung, burned, or her body cut to pieces. I know they say "to each his own", but hanging, burning and/or dismemboring, I think, goes a little too far. This Web-site is at times wonderful...and at times boring with nothing new to really talk about. Even though we still regularly get 1400 or so hits a day, we still get very few posts, and those are mostly from our very small base of regulars. YikYakker: About half the films on your list have some great erotic death scenes, but I don't recall a lot of extended GIMP. Photos of Gioia has that great bee-sting sequence (not to mention the always welcome Serena Grandi), Slaughter Hotel has a few slasher-type naked-female-death-scenes and Night of the Bloody Apes has a stabbing and one bloody "ape"-killing, if I recall. Impressive at the time, but not much GIMP in these movies overall, unless my memory fails me. I vote for any of the others, but that's because I haven't seen them.

Netflix in Canada: I heard they added another title last September, so now I think there are seven, maybe eight downloads to choose from ;-). The company pleads "copyright issues". But with over 30 million potential customers waiting in the wings, you'd think they'd try a little harder. For now, my money's going to Amazon.com - not Amazon.ca (which also falls short over half the time).

I too can see little or no erotic content in those awful, staged, Japanese things that seem to proliferate here and that seem to be worthy of comment.

You say to each his own and that is a worthy sentiment for sure, but since we are on the subject, I have to agree. They are just awful.

Maleficarum was like breath of fresh air. Building up to a torture you knew you were not going to be denied was great fun and paid back even for some of those older films that didn't really deliver when the chips were down, if only for the censors and to be sure of getting a certificate. It was good to see a film made to fulfill that role.

Sadly however, I think the days of seeing some delicious harem girl captured and merely threatened with torture, if not put to it, are pretty much over. Even the old slave auctions seem to be dead and buried. That was why I thought those shots widely released from the Spartacus series with roped slavegirls being led away was such a nice spectacle. But it's all far too rare these days I'm afraid.

Let's get back to some semblance of sense guys. Dismembering and stabbing isn't truly erotic surely. Roping some bird up and dragging her around isn't either. Seen one girl tied up, you've pretty much seen them all. Let's see some honest to goodness, nice, clean, heavy flag and coercive torture. That's far more wholesome.

I recently came across a newer release called "Flower and Snake 3" starring Japanese stripper Minako Komukai. It features the same moody cinematography as those starring Ms Sugimoto. The video is basically a retelling of "The Story of "O". Early in the video we see Ms Komukai in a nice AOH whipping scene. The rest of the movie, to me, is a yawner, but features some creative, as always, Japanese bondage and humiliation. There is one Gimp site in Japan that will not download to a MAC OS computer under any circumstances, I have pleaded with them for years with no success. The fact of the matter is almost all the Jav material we gimpers acquire is pirated, those blank disks we get with tape labels on them don't look that way when they come from the stamping plant for Attackers or Giga.

And what about something like short excerpts from TV shows or out of print movies. The show Chuck had a great AOH scene a couple of weeks ago that was about three minutes long. Should I be forced to by a whole season of DVD if I want to have ready access to that scene. And what about out of print movies? I would never take the work from someone who has established a normal business model like Red Feline, but I do think there are exceptions especially with so much of our favorite material being obscure or out of print.

So we have politicians who are bought and paid for by moneyed interests trying to pass flawed and overreaching legislation and international agreements to protect outdated copyright laws on the one hand and our only defense, since our legislators represent only their financial backers and not the populace at large, is pirates and hackers who have the ability to cripple the Internet presence of those greedy corporations and misguided government agencies--but also, if they so choose, any web site they want to. This feels like a Faustian bargain no matter which side you come down on.

Actually, they're all on DVD. Which makes sense, since there can't be many people left who still watch VHS tapes. I suspect even Ralphus realizes his old compilation tapes are outdated.

And, yes, Video Mayhem uses discreet packaging so it's not clear what's inside.

You know, I'm with you on that. I'm all for protecting the rights of the copyright holder, but a lot of times the only way to see these movies is if they're uploaded on the net or offered by a specialty collector site. Often times the movie is not available on DVD (or even VHS) and the original copyright holder has no intention of making it available for the public anymore, or else the rights have expired and the film has entered the public domain. My feelings have always been if you can acquire the film legally, it's the right thing to do. But if it's not available any other way, I don't have a problem searching for alternate methods. There's some great GIMP movies, such as Poor Cecily, for instance, that can't be found any other way.

You talking about this site? Well, we watch and review movies (mostly Japanese) that were likely acquired either off the net or through a service that supplies copies of the original work in which the producers are not compensated. I've done it, you've done it, most of us have done it. It's very tough to avoid with foreign material, and even tougher to notify those in other countries that their work is pirated. I wouldn't have the first clue in how to contact a Japanese site, for instance, especially since I don't read or write Japanese.

What we can do as a site is try to maintain a gentleman's agreement to keep stolen links off the pages of this forum that we know are hurting our US bondage producers. It won't stop online theft, but at least we're not contributing to it. Any kind of impact we have to the overall problem may be miniscule, but it's something, at least.

Bill K: The name of the movie you're referencing is called Roadkill: The Last Days of John Martin. It's a short film made by Jim Van Bebber, a guy who I knew from film class in college. I was in one of his films, Deadbeat at Dawn (along with the naked girl in this movie). Anyway, if I recall correctly, he only had enough money to make a short film. He took that footage and pitched it to studios in hopes that they would fund a feature-length version of it. Apparently, no one did, so the 14-minute version is all that was ever shot.

The scene you see is in its entirety, unfortunately. Pretty cool scene, though. I have that in my highlights tape, along with the beginning where the bad guy zaps her with a stun gun before she ends up in the cage. It used to be available on DVD packaged along with another Van Bebber film, My Sweet Satan.

I have a pretty sharp copy on this on VHS, but it's not digitized. Here's some caps from a slightly better print, though.

First off, let me just say that I'm not sure what the plot of this is, I tried deciphering it the best I could but didn't get much out of it. The film starts out with the mother in the film's title (Sanae Momoi) talking to either a businessman, or salesman, or something. He's wearing a suit, that's all I know. Sanae Momoi is OK looking, but pretty much looks and acts like a generic JAV star during the film.

Eventually they have (consensual) sex, although the exact circumstances of why are unknown to me, unfortunately, having no knowledge of Japanese. I won't bore you with any details about the sex scene, I pretty much just skipped over it, although it goes on for almost 20 minutes of the film's running time.

The film cuts to two brief scenes: one in which we're briefly introduced to the daughter (Sakiko Mihara) and one in which a man (one of the film's villains, along with the guy in the suit) looks over some pictures he took the previous day of the daughter, tied up with clothing disheveled. The next scene portrays what happened.

Camera dude and the daughter, dressed in school girl attire, are sitting across a table from each other; camera dude is taking pictures of her. I'm not sure what the relationship between the two is. Eventually the man takes out some bundles of rope and starts tying her up. She doesn't look happy about being tied up, but she doesn't fight it either. If you're a fan of on-screen tying (as I am) you'll like this, because the tying of her arms and around her breasts goes on for a good couple minutes, and it's nice convincing Japanese rope bondage. The man puts a hook through her nose and pulls her nostrils up, something I've never liked in any video I've seen that's included something like that in it. He ties her ankles together, pulls her panties/bra down and molests her, until finally gagging her.

After which he takes the gag out and face-fucks her, until pulling out and immediately ejaculating unto her face.

It's a very good scene, in my humble opinion, mostly because the daughter is a pretty actress with an expressive face.

Another brief scene between mother and daughter, followed by a scene that begins with the mom being confronted by the suit guy and camera dude at her home. They grab her and tie her up; she puts up a weak struggle.

The scene would've been better if she'd been threatened with a gun or something. Eventually camera guy takes her into her own bedroom and abuses her tits & does a bit of breathplay, before having her suck him off and cums in her mouth.

The next scene is probably my favorite one. The daughter comes home to find her mother, naked bound and gagged on her bed. Unfortunately the perpetrator is still there, and before long the daughter herself is tied up; her mother is in no position to help as she watches her daughter being forced to suck cock, then gets choked out on the bed.


More fucking ensues, before he pulls out and fires into her open mouth, making her swallow it.


There is no more sex in the remaining hour of the video, it focuses mostly on torture/general humiliation from here on out. The two men apparently have to decide what they're going to do with the two women.

The mother gets led around on a leash while one of them makes a phone call.

After that the (bound and gagged) daughter is whipped while her mother is forced to watch. Then comes hot wax torture.



Finally the daughter, hands now tied in front of her, receives an enema. She gets slapped repeatedly in the face as she cries, until firing out a stream of liquid from, uh, well from her butt. I don't know why the Japanese seem obsessed with this sort of scene, honestly, I don't find it very appealing.

This is a very good video, though, in my opinion. Combined just the right amount of less-than-consensual sex and torture with good acting and nice rope bondage. What more could you ask for. Well, actually, I could ask for something more: there was no forced lesbian incest in this! A big disappointment if you ask me. You have a mother-daughter pair held prisoner and you don't at least force the daughter to get a good taste of where she came from, to put it in a classy way? For shame. Despite that, though, I give it an A.

As far as where you can watch it, I'm not sure. I couldn't find a link to a legitimate copy of it just by googling the title. You can watch it on sexvnonline, though, which I *think* is legal, because it hosts thousands of JAV's and is a pay site (although you can watch a lot of the content for free, including the aforementioned video). Hope you liked the review, if it's your "thing".

The movie is a CineMagic production and the code is CMK-018. But you're right, it mostly only seems to be available outside of Japan through file-sharing. No moral dilemna there, I guess.

Your correction after the review was also, uh, correct. According to asianscreens.com, Sakiko Mihara is 43 years old, so I'm certain she played the mother. She looks attractive to me, at least in the caps.

I'm not sure I'm too keen on the film. There may be parts I would enjoy, such as the hot-wax tortures, but overall I don't think the movie is my thing.

Unlike, Canadian, I like the concept of this movie. Although I have no idea what the plot is, there is one. Looks like your typical Blackmail thing that is so common in JAVs. The mother/daughter thing is pretty unique to the Japanese and is a favorite of mine. Sure the Russians do the Make the Boyfriend Watch thing; but those are typically amateurish that I can't bear to watch. Conversely, AOH seems to be more common in this - Western - hemisphere.

About piracy and the GIMP, I agree with Ralphus that the least we can do is not promote it. But let's face it --- trying to avoid pirated material would be like trying to buy a toy not made in China.
