I notice that William Malmborg has a blog, but reading through it I don't get the feeling that he is a GIMPer. In his review of 2009's The Collector he indicates he is not a fan of extreme torture borderline porn videos, complaining that they give the horror genre a bad name. Of course, I feel the exact same way about the current glut of torture porn movies advertised as horror, so I guess that doesn't disqualify him as a GIMPer after all.

However, I did note that in all of his movie reviews, he didn't review the remake of (or the original) I Spit on Your Grave, the remake of (or the original) Last House on the Left, or any other classic GIMP flicks. And his reviews include oldies like Carrie and the original Friday the 13th, so it isn't a question of the movies being too old.

No, I don't think this guy is a GIMPer unless he's a closet GIMPer. Which is really a shame because it would have been so cool to find a fellow GIMPer publishing GIMP-ish books. *sigh*

However, what I did notice was that Jimmy is a Kindle e-book and is on sale for only $.99. And since I have a Kindle, that might be too good a chance to pass up.

If I may jump in; I watched Camelot on Netflix. There were only two scenes that were notable IMHO, one where Morgana (played by Eva Green) is casting a spell or something and gets naked. It's not a GIMP scene but Eva is quite impressive. There's another scene where she pisses off the king she's allied herself with and he ties her AOH to a stake out in the heath and leaves her overnight. Disappointing scene, as she's not stripped. Now that I'm thinking of it there are several scenes where Morgana has captured Igraine and leaves her with her wrists tied in a room in her castle. It's not particularly interesting, again, IMO. No BATS scenes, but I think this was just the first season. It's been awhile since I watched it. Basically it's a mini-series like so many others we've come to know and love, filled with ruthless double dealing and occasional sex and nudity, but in the context of the Arthurian legends, which for me is a bit forced. I prefer the movie Excalibur.

I have some vidcaps from a Jean Rollin movie called Rape of the Vampire. It's a surrealistic, bewildering movie, but it does have an attractive GIMP and a whipping scene that is not in the database. Yes, you saw it here first! Unless you've watched the movie, of course. I have no idea what's going on, except this woman has betrayed the Vampire Queen, and is being punished. Why, you may ask, does she not simply pull her wrists out of the loops? Like many other things about this movie, I don't know.

In the whipping scene it's hard to see clearly but it looks to me like they're whipping her with arugula, which as we all know, hurts a great deal more than either romaine or iceberg lettuce, or even celery.

I'll reserve my enthusiasm, though, until I know more details. Unlike some GIMPers, I'm not a huge fan of that series. I enjoyed Lady Panther 5 (SSPD-033) when it was released a few years ago, but other films in the series were disappointing, particularly the one with Maria Ozawa and the one with Asami Ogawa (I know people disagree with me about the Asami one, but that's my take).

My guess is Lady Panther 10 will be released in September.

Blitzkrieg has a decent swastika-shaped- foot-branding-with-racking scene, although the movie itself is so lame it's hardly worth searching for. One of the best branding scenes, IMO, is the one with Corinne Clery in The Story of O. Not only does she bare her very fine ass, but the blood-curdling scream she emits is among the best I've ever heard.

If you use Search the GIMP, you'll probably find other branding scenes that were discussed here or in movie reviews.

DHT: I saw Alucarda years ago and don't recall much GIMPage. Of course, my memory doesn't always serve me well. But it does register a display of epic nudity from one of the actresses. I also recall that there was a lot of frenetic activity, screaming and over-acting, as well as bit of jumping around (cinematically, that is). A very noisy movie. It is probably much better, though, than another movie called Alucard which has been trounced by critics on Amazon. So beware.

In case anyone didn't catch on, Alucard is Dracula spelled backwards. But Alucarda is not about vampires, it's about Satanism.

I know a guy who refuses to watch any movie about Satanism because they terrify him so.

But I agree that it was pretty effective, for a low-budget movie. I'm recalling now that most of the mayhem I described comes near the end.

I'm glad you jogged my memory about this movie, because there is a very nice GIMP scene about halfway through. The title character's friend Justine, believed to be possessed by the devil, is strapped to an X-frame and stripped completely. Then the "religious authorities" stab her in various places with large needles to search for the Mark of the Devil. The actress is very attractive and the scene is pretty disturbing, what with all of the nuns rolling around on the floor in a state of religious fervor.

If there were ever a naked-chicks-bound-to-X-frames-and-poked-with-pointy-objects scenes in mainstream movies database, this would be among the top entries.

Don't forget he also made 8MM, a story with huge potential (it was about snuff films) and who got the bound and gagged scene? Joaquin Phoenix! Unforgiveable.

But like I mentioned before, how are you going to torture someone without tying them up first? Unless the reviewer meant the word "tortured" in a different sense. I think it's definitely going to be one to check out, just because of the casting and the kidnapping theme. Will it produce more than 15 seconds of erotic thrills? Maybe not in DHT's book, but I think he prefers ice cream to torture anyway.

Attackers' "Slave Castle" series is often thought of as Slave Island's femdom lesbian cousin, and that sums it up nicely. The fate of the captured women is still unending sexual slavery, but overall it isn't portrayed as violently or depressing. The dommes of the castle are all women: MAYA, Riria, and one or two guests that change per episode. Most of the slave women are betrayed or sold by somebody they know, who may or may not get in on the action.

- Of particular note is the rape room filled with masked gimps that the slaves get sent to for disobedience. They'll spend days there (indicate by clocks or X Days Later captions). There's actually a "Best of" video that entails only the male-dom rape scenes of the series. It is hinted that all of the gimps are ex-boyfriends and husbands of the enslaved women

- Pretty much every single episode involves Gothic Lolita Riria fucking the slaves with a strap-on, and forcing them to eat her out.

- The slaves wear bondage and belts at all times, and little shiny tags get attached to them to indicate each time they've been fucked. By the time the episodes end, the slaves have quite the collection!

- Lots of fake enemas, collars, leashes, doggy bowls, and all that standard BDSM stuff.

- Chairs with dildos sticking up from the seat are common, as well.

There's not really much to cover for the series like there was for Slave Island, but I think a short overview like this would be appreciated here.

Slave Castle 1 - SSPD 066 - The third domme in this episode is ridiculously hot, and the other guest dommes are pretty sexy as well. At 52 minutes, the slave tries to escape, and gets nearly drown as punishment. The dommes kidnap and gag the slave's boyfriend, and Riria rides him in full view in a great scene.

Slave Castle 2 - SSPD 068 - A young woman is betrayed by her coworker. This episode introduces extensive time skips (2 days later after the first "inflation" scene, "4 days later" going into the first dog bowl scene). 53 minutes in is a nice ring gag scene, the two hot dommes forcing the slaves to eat them out. There's extensive male-on-female rape, and some interesting gags as well.

Slave Castle 3 - SSPD 072 - There's a new female domme here, and the two slaves are bound chest to chest. One of the slaves underperforms and gets a nice long whipping, and after that, a visit to the rape room where she is chained down and savaged by gimps for hours. Overall, a pretty interesting episode.

Slave Castle 4 - SSPD 073 - Extensive use of time in the rape room. The actress is reasonably good. As hours pass for the slave, Riria just looks so bored as she's reading a book. It ends with her licking up a puddle of cum that leaked from her cunt. Overall, one of the better episodes.

Slave Castle 5 - RBD 176 - A perfume creator overshadows a coworker, and gets sold in an act of revenge. Riria rides the boyfriend gleefully.

Slave Castle 6 - RBD 191 - The entry that killed the franchise! The woman is actually really pretty in this one, but her acting is awful. At one point, she gets sent to the rape room, and a "one week later" caption pops up. She barely even looks fazed!

It's really hard to say which if episodes is the best, as overall it is such a mediocre series.

High School Girl Gangrape 99: A super long hit-or-miss series, but this one has a woman in a dog cage, so I'm in. I'm looking forward to whatever they have planned for HSGR100-- they haven't had a multi-woman entry in a long, long time.

I have a Slave Color overview in the works like I have for the other slave series. The series is so disjointed and uneven that I'll likely completely skip some entries. This includes the Slave Female Teacher and Slave Fiance spin-offs, as they really are part of the main series in terms of continuity (Slave Teacher 5 -> Slave Teacher 6 -> Slave Color 15 (or 16?) are one long chain of semi-continuity, with an increasingly depressed slave that eventually just gives up on life).

I am one who believes that intimidation of a good-looking women such as Nicole Kidman, if done right, can be a bit of a turn-on. "Dead Calm" is a perfect example. In order to survive, Ms. Kidman decided to come on to Billy Zane. Things went horrible bad for her, and she ended up submitting to him. That segment of movie ranks among my all-time favorite in terms of sexual tension. That, and the scene in "Hitchhike" with David Hess and Corrine Clery which was - of course - much more graphic.

Re: Lisa, part of the fun watching her was how she developed, in the beginning she really didn't do any full suspensions, and as she progressed she was able to do more and more extreme scenes.

A final note, and what I always thought was an overlooked gem among the ZFX films was The Worm. The main actress, I think her name was Marilyn Malone, was one of the most flexible girls Rick worked with, she was not as cute as Lisa or Penelope, but not many were, but she was very expressive and realistic in her suffering. No one else has ever mentioned this film that I am aware of - so similar to liking Sandra Chase - maybe I am alone in my admiration.

Oh, man...I totally agree with you. Dead Calm was an excellent thriller and the scenes with Nicole Kidman and Billy Zane were top-notch. That was the first time I'd ever seen her in a movie and was greatly impressed. No bondage, but certainly a Girl in Peril.

With the arrival of football season, my girlfriend tried out for a professional cheerleading squad. But she didn't make the cut. The aaparadise.com site is also a good source for the Slave Island movies, although you should search using the code rather than the title, as the site uses some obscure titles (I believe it's to elude the authorities). Using the search for island will help you find some of them, but there are many more available.

Only if it's done well. Dyanne Thorne was pretty vicious when it came to torturing women. I haven't seen the whipping shown above, but it's all in how well the dominant chick handles that whip. If she swings like a girl, the scene is crap.

Falstaff: You're not the only one who liked The Worm and its star, Marilyn Malone. She was, unfortunately, one of those one-timer ZFX actresses, but I thought she was attractive and did a good job. That was definitely a minor ZFX effort, though, even though it was part of their Shockwave series, which were supposedly more ambitious and more sci-fi themed than some of their other normal titles. It's been years since I've seen it, but what I remember most was a lack of dialogue. Bryan Dunhill was in it, but Rick kept him virtually silent, which really misused his vast talents for emoting.

And let me ask you...besides bitching about rape movies, Japanese movies and apparently just about every other genre except for the films made by Red Feline, what do you contribute to this forum? You want to talk about something, it's an open forum. Start a topic. Review a movie. So something except whining. You're like the guy who accepts a free ride from someone and then complains about the radio station he's listening to in his car.

I've never seen other people here mention their Kichiku Rinkan series, which is by far their longest running (#99 comes out next month). I guess the subject matter is a bit iffy, but title generally translates (according to various software) as something along the lines of Devil Gangrape. The women themselves are all portrayed as wearing school uniforms, but the actresses are all well over the age of 18, and it almost always portrays them as being reasonably close to the age of 18 (Many show them driving cars, etc.) and portray them as upper classmen or even college students.

There's way, way, way too many to go over, but here's a short list of the notable ones. Overall the series is pretty low-key, without any recurring fetishes except uniforms and classrooms.

And, again, I don't condone extensive age-play in porn, but I don't really care if a character is supposedly 17 rather than 18.

#57 SHKD-246: Yuka Haneda's entry. She's a nurse's assistant that learns how to make the patients feel good. I really like the final shot of this film, of her laying on a cluster of desks completely bound in gauze like a mummy, except for her tits (of course).

#61 SHKD-260: Very dark story. Two girls get raped, and one of them commits suicide halfway through the story after finding out she's pregnant. I really don't know if I recommend the film, but some may like it. The other one gets let go after having cum forcibly poured into her.

#65 SHKD-274: A hot female fortune-teller helps her boyfriend abuse and degrade a female customer. There's a nice bondage mattress in this.

#73 SHKD-298: Three cute girls try to scam the wrong people out of money, and get kidnapped as punishment.

#83 SHKD-337: Two friends forced to fight against each other to see who will get treated worse.

$94 SHKD-434: After her father dies, a young woman is treated horribly by her step-mother and her new boyfriend.

#96 SHKD-441: Very recent, with a hot actress, good performance, and some fierce looking rape while bound.

Now, as I rent or buy DVD's, I notice that with some of them, like this MS. COX or the Harmony DVD's that are available for rent, I can not move freely from point to point in the story as I watch them on my computer. For example, I'll want to randomly move a few minutes ahead, but when I try to do so it just jumps back to the beginning of the scene.

I don't know if this is an error in the writing of the DVD's, but I don't have this problem with most of them.

I do know, though, that I never bother watching a DVD that functions like that. So, if all of these new DVD's you're making out of your catalog are like that, I'll never bother with any of them.

I have to admit, the Kichiku Rinkan series of Shark films does nothing for me. I have no interest in the schoolgirl victims.

It's not a moral thing about the barely legal theme. I just don't find the schoolgirl look arousing. Even the cover shot with the normally appealing Yuka Haneda had no affect on me. Not my thing.

She mentioned that she did more shoots for Hardcore Abductions, though, which sent me there immediately. Sure enough, it looks like she makes appearances in the last SIX videos. And unlike the disappointing first video I reviewed, it looks like she is even naked in the rest of them. And for anyone who appreciates Delila Darling, naked is the best way.

Even better, the last video is entitled Roughies Volume 1, which is described as "...the start of a new series with slightly rougher treatment." The one before that is called Bad Dream, where Delila is "...tied and used on her bed." Mmmm.

A couple of these are on my Must See List. They are all on my Want To See List. So I will definitely be reviewing any of them I watch. But if anyone beats me to it, I would love to hear someone else's take on them.

Both you and I have both seen the mostly disappointing Delila and Nichole. Based on the stills, it's hard to say if she's bound and raped in the sequel, looks like mostly her being forced to orally service her attacker. Not sure if it's worth the 40 bucks. Now Carley and Bad Dream looks much better. Looks like Delila is threatened with a knife, forced to suck him and then bound, gagged and raped on the bed. Now we're talkin'!

Delila Darling is gorgeous. She's a woman who seriously rings my bell. A rough bondage rape movie with her as the victim? I would say that's a slam dunk. Based on the stills, I don't see how this can be anything but good. I would say it's time to give this guy another chance. After all, he's made some very good bondage rape movies in the past.

Interesting comments and observations, thank you for sharing them. The Worm is certainly an obscure choice, you're a hardcore ZFX fan to have that one on your radar. This is probably one of the odder movies I've made and I have made some odd movies. The inspiration was "The Puppet Masters" which is based on the Robert Heinlein classic.

Marilyn Malone was indeed very flexible and did a good job on this movie. As a funny aside, after we shot the woods scene where Marilyn gets knocked out and carried off by the zombies, we were loading her (pretending to be unconscious) into the trunk of the car. Just then, a security guard comes around the corner and freaks out. There were a few tense moments and quick explaining. Bear in mind Chandra Sweet and Bryan Dunhill are covered in prop blood and look pretty freaky. Once he realized she was OK and it was just a movie, he was cool and we went on our merry way.

I intended to do a sequel to The Worm. I actually ran a promo for part 2, but it just didn't happen. I remember being asked: "When is The Worm 2 coming out". Um, never.... Lesson: don't promote shit you dont have in the can.

I was never able to get in touch with Marilyn Malone, apparently she moved out of the area. The first was not wildly popular so trying to do a second seemed ludicrous.

I suppose he could have been a wise cracking alien zombie, but I was going for a more silent menacing type. Bryan played so many wise cracking cyborgs, robots, serial killers etc., I wanted to let him try a different approach as a zombie. I actually liked his performance a lot, his rack fucking of Marilyn was very creepy, IMHO.

My own personal issue with the movie is the worm itself. I was not happy with the worm model as it appears on camera and it was not sturdy enough and began to break down. I could have been better executed. But sometimes, that's the way the worm crumbles...

Sorry you had a problem, its definitely not meant to be that way. You should be able to move freely. I tested a Ms. Cox DVD just now on 2 computers using WMP, VLC and Apple DVD player I could move around at will. It certainly was not encoded to prevent navigation. Was the DVD you rented a silver faced DVD-ROM, color printed on top? Or a purple/blue DVD-R. Just wondering if it was a bootleg, stores have been known to roll their own. Anyway sorry you had an issue.

You're most likely right. I saw the film for the first and only time when it came out, which was back in 1994. That was 17 years ago! Good God, the time flies. In fact, I didn't even recognize most of the stills you posted, so my memory sucks. The scenes I kept were Marilyn's initial capture while she's out in the woods smoking a cigarette (Hmmm...wonder why I kept that scene?), then being tied to the dildo chair and later shocked by Chandra. I honestly didn't even remember that there was a worm in the movie! Then again, the sci-fi stuff has never done much for me.

I'd be interested in reading a full-length review of the film on the forum. Who wants to give it a shot? Whoever does it (Falstaff?), I hope you're able to review the remastered DVD with the improved ending.

Simon: Dude, I can't read Japanese! I cleaned your post up as well as I could, but I couldn't figure out whatever the first movie was that you tried to tell us to google.

Regarding Maleficarum's release date, Jane sent me an e-mail today that she's back in Bolivia after the situation with her dad and that means that editing should speed up regarding that film as well as some other Red Feline projects they are working on. I went back and checked. It's been almost exactly a year now (August 13, 2010) that I told Jane I would pay whatever it would cost to roast her on a spit, and that got pre-production rolling on a movie that started off small, but then got bigger and more elaborate with each passing week. I'm waiting along with everyone else to see what we will end up with, and when we're finally gonna see it. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping it's at least going to be sometime this year.

Got this one years ago from Video Mayhem and apparently never viewed it - has long since been consigned to that New Jersey landfill - originally titled "The Hidan of Maukbeiangjow" - it would seem when that incoherent title didn't fly with the good ol' boy drive-in crowd it was promptly changed to Invasion of the Girl Snatchers - Gimpers everywhere must now be sitting slack-jawed at their computer screens saying "Sloth, with a title like that it must be good. Please tell us more about this lost Gimp classic" - dating from 1972 with a runtime of 90 minutes and starring a bunch of folks from Arkansas.

The premise is as follows - some hopelessly inept "agents" are looking into the vanishing of six local chicks - the plan is to infiltrate a blonde bimbo named Ruthie into the midst of the unknown villains and track her with a bra-transmitter - well, Ruthie is abducted without getting her bra on and carried out to a van waiting in the lot of the seedy motel - bound hand and foot with bedsheets and an OTM - her partners meanwhile have enlisted the aid of three pot smoking local redneck goobers to track her down.

Ruthie is carried topless into the lair of Aph - Aph seems to be a 60's glue-head gone organic and wearing a sheet with an emblem on the front - he has, for reasons never made clear, come into contact with Utaya, some sort of alien spirit being from the "Red Star" - I looked that up in the New General Catalog and found no reference to it - Aph now sacrifices the lives of these abducted chicks to serve as vessels for Utaya's posse to come to earth - again there is no reason given for why this is done although I suspect Aph uses them for muscle to establish domain over this desolate chunk of rural Arkansas.

And just how is this seemingly complex process of cosmic lobotomy carried out you ask - Ruthie is strapped topless to the sacrificial altar, that being an old door atop two saw horses inside Aph's abandoned farm house - she is given an injection, quite possibly Dr. Pepper, her temples are wired to an oscillator, runic symbols are inked on her bare chest, some mindless rambling incantations are spoken and she is whacked by having her nose clamped and she suffocates - the oscillator then shows when her body is hosting the latest alien spirit.

Meanwhile, some chick named Prudence and a dude named Kaspar develop a relationship while both are tied and waiting their turns for alien hosting - the rest of the film documents their escape attempts, chase scenes through the woods, alien zombie chicks walking around in go-go boots and big hair and a couple of shoot-outs all done to the worst score of hillbilly music since Buck Owens - mercifully, this all comes to a close when, again for reasons never explained, Prudence and Kaspar ride off into the sunset with Aph, the guy who was about to off them both. The End.

The Verdict - I will be the first to admit I had to see this based only on the title - it is saved from utter oblivion in that it is done tongue-in-cheek and never takes itself seriously - they try to spoof efforts like "Mission Impossible" and 007 flicks so there's a couple of chuckles although I'm still not convinced they were intended - this was just an excuse for some fellas to tie up their chicks for a weekend under the premise of making a movie - okay, I took one for the team here.

Speaking of Shockwave, I have always been obsessed with the movie 'Seed', which I never actually got to see, but saw a preview on before another ZFX film. I loved the concept, and thought it looked well made. A Canadian gave it a so-so review (B-, but not too enthusiastic) - does anyone else want to comment on it? (And maybe even Rick?)

It seems like whenever you review a movie, it turns out to be one that I've also seen. Not this time. I was familiar with the title this time but that's about it. Looks like Invasion of the Girl Snatchers is not yet on DVD...perhaps deservedly so? Sounds like low budget shlock, but at least it features a naked chick in bondage, which face it, we hardly ever see in today's "enlightened" age of modern cinema. God bless the 1970s when nudity was still allowed in the movies.

Well the screenplay is way beyond expectations. It was just read by an English major & she was amazed. 108 pages of GIMP. The next steps are to have a reading. Add a couple things, rewrite in to a "R" version, then copyright. A lot more to it than I had expected, but it's also so fucking epic any extra work is worth it.

I would definitely buy some of their stuff except they are apparently only available in the dreaded PDF format, which I hate. In fact, check out the cover of one of their new releases, Mars Penal Colony 2 - The Mutiny. There you have the best of both worlds, a naked woman tied AOH and the flames dancing below her! Plus the smoke rising up over her body. What an outstanding cover. That's worth buying just for the cover alone.

I don't subscribe to Fansadox but I go to DOFantasy all the time to see what's new. I think their books are awesome, and I've downloaded a few. I wish they did less ring gags because I don't like them, and had more brunettes instead of blondes. I also which I could contact their artists to see if they could do some custom work.

It's the character Ruthie, played by Ellen Tripp aka Carla Rueckert. Unlike some actresses from these low-budget drive-in specials of the 1970's, she actually appeared in another movie after this one.

This time the nudity is implied, so no naughty bits are on display, but if you look closely, you can see the branding scar on her back she received in another scene. This scene is relatively short and she's not tied up, but my goodness, this girl is terribly cute and she definitely knows how to suffer for the camera. Check it out:

Just another quick update on Trespass. A reviewer on IMDB wrote "It involves strong bloody violence, torture , Nudity & Child Abuse." However, if you go to filmratings.com and search for the film you'll find that it's rated R for violence and terror, pervasive language, and some brief drug use. (doesn't sound as good obviously)

So who knows at this point. We'll probably be disappointed but it's still fun to hope.

I always accept gimp suggestions. I got a few emails about the screenplay I'm creating & some suggestions are in the script. I hear what you're saying about the nudity. Byrne was part of some of the finest points of such great comics as the X-men, Fantastic Four, Avengers, just to name a few, however he did do a comic called the Next Men, an extreme rip off of DN Agents, that had all kinds of Bondage and GIMP worthy situations, and if you look at many of his other projects you'll find several other GIMP scenes, from the Scarlet Witch being magically suspended spread eagle to Susan Richards/Invisible Woman becoming a character named Malice, who looked as Dominatrix as they come to his work with Wonder Woman need I say more. What I find amazing is how under the radar Byrne has flow, his work is very much worth checking out.

However, if we are talking books with Gimp art, Pichard may a bit obvious, but even the most cursory plundering of his works will forward glorious delights.

He really was a master of a host of gimp-like genres running from house bondage right through to hard labour and galley slavery and I just loved his voluptuous models that he based his torments on.

Reading your review made me remember why I generally dislike the consensual stuff that Kink churns out. You made note that Bobbi asked Sensi if she wanted to continue. Ugh. Talk about blowing the fantasy big time. Any time you are asking the model on camera how she's feeling, if she's liking it, if she wants to go on, it ruins it for me. That is telling me that the model is in control and not the one dominating her. Yes, I know that's always the case, of course. All these films are consensual, but they don't have to keep announcing it throughout the video. It bugs the hell out me. Give us the chance to believe that the girl is really being tortured against her will. If I ever keep any footage of their stuff, which is rare, I always take care to edit out any dialogue that tips off that this is a consensual scene.

In fact, now that I think about it, I seem to remember a moment like that in a ZFX movie. I think it was in War Pigs, where Chandra Sweet is tied to a chair and Rick is choking her with a noose around her neck. Chandra was gasping and was so convincing in her performance that Rick broke character momentarily and asked her if she was all right. And believe it or not, that was left in the final print. Talking about taking you right out of the scene! Bad guys do not generally ask their victim if she's okay while they're torturing her.

I have no way of knowing for sure if this is the right movie because I edited the scene out of my own highlights tape. I'd be curious if 1) I'm remembering the scene correctly and 2) whether that segment was removed when the movie was converted for digital format. Rick?

Greg: I dunno, I'm not as big a fan of Pichard's work as you are. I think he was a talented artist with a great imagination for harsh bondage, but what confounds me is that his victims usually tend to look rather homely. Both those artworks help to prove my point. The first picture features what could have been an attractive woman, but he gave her a face tattoo and a big nose ring! Ugh...why??? If you're an artist, you have no restrictions, you can draw her as pretty as you want. So why intentionally make her ugly? And he did that over and over. So as much as I admire the themes of his artworks, I tend to collect very few of them for that very reason.

Ralphus: I used to agree with you about Pichard's women being homely, but having read a considerable number of his books, I've come to see them as having an agreeable earthy quality that is quite attractive. Just my opinion.

I love Minos' work; I've run his stuff at the top of the site many times. One of the best poser artists around, to be sure. You can get away with more in art than you can in real life, or even in the movies. I don't believe I've ever seen a breast guillotine in a film, although knowing today's technology and the predominance of torture porn lately, it's probably just a matter of time

BTR and DHT both brought up John Byrne's possible kinky proclivities. I'm surprised neither one mentioned Exhibit A: his 1985 She-Hulk graphic novel.

She-Hulk, the Hulk's much cuter (but still big, strong and green) cousin, should have stayed in regular comics, which (unlike Graphic Novels) were then still firmly under the iron heel of the Comics Code Authority. Sure, she was super-strong and tough, but her boyfriend was an ordinary human and a quick gun to his head forced her to surrender to a bunch of thuggish Homeland Security types.

They immediately force her to strip naked in front of dozens of leering SHIELD agents. She sarcastically says maybe they would like her to jump rope naked for them, which is actually a terrific idea, but a superior officer comes in and starts quoting regulations about how stripsearches are supposed to be done in private by an agent of the same sex. Boo.

The killjoy is overruled by his superiors, however, and She-Hulk is forced to strip again and is subjected to a five and a half hour ordeal in which she says she was poked, prodded and probed in places she didn't even know existed. They then toss her limp body back in the cell (she has been given a lab coat, unfortunately) for a two hour rest before they start up again. She escapes before that can happen.

This is still a mainstream comic book company so the nudity is all implied except for one shot that shows She-Hulk's rear as she is tied spread eagle in a TV moniter. Oh, didn't I mention that, the naked examination was recorded. Strictly for quality assurance purposes, I'm sure. She-Hulk latter destroyed one tape, but it's hard to believe they didn't make copies.

As far as I know the tape never made its way out into the general public, however in another story (also by Byrne, natch) pictures of She-Hulk sunbathing topless on a roof are secretly taken and published.

Later in the Graphic Novel, She-Hulk is attacked by a horde of cockroaches and has to squish them all, winding up completely covered in cockroach goop. (It's off-topic, but it's a known kink so I thought I'd mention it.)

The graphic novel took fanboys by storm. She-Hulk got her own comic (she had had one earlier but it had been canceled and she was then appearing in the Fantastic Four) done by Byrne. The idea of She-Hulk jumping rope naked became a running joke in the comic.

Sadly, She-Hulk and her boyfriend have since broken up. I'm not sure why, or if the stress of that night had anything to do with it. If he wants something to remember her by, he could always join SHIELD.

I dunno, I'm not as big a fan of Pichard's work as you are. I think he was a talented artist with a great imagination for harsh bondage, but what confounds me is that his victims usually tend to look rather homely. Both those artworks help to prove my point. The first picture features what could have been an attractive woman, but he gave her a face tattoo and a big nose ring! Ugh...why??? If you're an artist, you have no restrictions, you can draw her as pretty as you want. So why intentionally make her ugly? And he did that over and over. So as much as I admire the themes of his artworks, I tend to collect very few of them for that very reason.

You are not the only one I have heard level that complaint at Pichard. It's just that I never saw it. I thought his women to be both voluptuous and often incredibly sexy. Moreover, so many of them were constantly being whipped, both consensually (sort of) and for pure punishment purposes, as well as branding, stretching and perhaps a few tortures there I never heard of, but there was always graphic and uncensored portrayal.

Many of the bondage setups were so contrived as to be all but impossible, but heh, this is fantasy in the end...so.

No, if I ever decide to pull the plug on the GIMP, it would be for the opposite reason, the overall apathy that seems to plague a lot of sites on the Internet. The lack of posts here is frustrating, especially because so many of you are really interesting folks with entertaining stuff to say, but most of you say nothing. That ultimately puts the burden on just a handful of regulars to carry the load. I look at this site like running a show. You want to make it fun and interesting every day so people will keep coming back. When people post, it's fun to read. When they don't, it's a drag.

Most of the time, I think it's successful. I would go here every day even if I didn't run it. Hits remain consistent so it seems as though others are satisfied, too. But at times it can be a lot of work. Like Sgt Major once posted, it's a labor of love, but it's still a labor. I rely on all of you to help me out. Taking 5 or 10 minutes to share your opinions every now and then can make a big difference. So if you like this place, contribute. It's really that important.

On the bright side our friend Hank Hobbs just linked caps and clips of what appears to be a decent electro-torture scene from something titled "Silent Sam" - never heard of the flick but the chick is pleasant enough.

It wasn't just a snap decision. I was getting pissed off at the amount of traffic that was flowing in. And yet only a very small percentage could be bothered to contribute or make the blog bigger and better. Yes and the never ending bitching that goes with it. I'm sure I have made some mistakes myself along the way, if I had been more vocal, maybe this would have helped. But it's very doubtful. I hear you Ralphus, time and time again, try to light a fire under their asses in here to contribute, but yet, like you said, you have to rely on the same few to carry the site along. So I downloaded it at my earliest convenience and read it. I'm sorry to say that I do not share AOH Fan's enthusiasm for the book. The title character is a teen who has been fascinated with bondage and specifically women bound arms over head since his earliest youth. He's purchased many pornographic videos and collected mainstream bondage scenes. He's planned to take his fascination to the ultimate level and kidnaps a female schoolmate (noted to be eighteen) and ties her AOH in an isolated bomb shelter. He does not strip her immediately; he thinks clothed women are sexier, poor deluded bastard. He leaves her bound with toes touching the floor and then completely hanging by her wrists for long periods of time. He beats her with his belt, and forces her to give him a BJ. He kidnaps her snoopy friend when she gets too close and serves her the same way. I won't tell you how it ends except to say it does not end well for anyone including this reviewer.

I thought the book as a whole was dreary and unimaginative, and the writing lackluster. The response of the parents and police seemed implausibly inept (they know approximately where the girls were kidnapped but make no coordinated search of the area) and the characters are one-dimensional. Now look. Anyone who's read my story in the story section (ahem . . . anyone? . . . Buehler?) knows that I can write as lackluster and implausible a story as the next guy. But this is mainstream fiction. We don't have to cut to the chase. We can spend a little time on things like character development. What bothers me most about the book is the implication that the reason Jimmy does what he does is due to his interest in bondage pornography. Yeah, he may be a bit of a social misfit, but later in the book he has a normal relationship (and sex) with a girl who has a crush on him. His family doesn't seem profoundly disturbed or dysfunctional. In fact the exchanges between Jimmy, his devoted brother and his parents sound like something out of "Leave It To Beaver." There is no motivation for his actions except his interest in bondage.

Personally I think the gold standard in mainstream torture fiction (if I may call it that) is Let's Go Play at the Adams' by Mendal Johnson. How many of us have had the Kidnapped Babysitter fantasy? Well, I think Johnson brings it to life and makes it disturbingly plausible, because he really understands what's going on with the characters. Reading that book was like looking over an abyss. (And then jerking off.)

On the lighter side; as torture porn, the set up in Jimmy is inherently arousing, and without getting too personal there were some scenes that I found . . . interesting. Unfortunately the main character has a tendency to think about some of the tortures and humiliations he's seen in his videos that he'd like to try out on the girls, but then decides that he'll get around to those things later. Slacker.

All in all, a disappointing read, IMHO. It doesn't go far enough in any direction to satisfy; as suspense, as character study, or as torture porn.

AOH Fan, I do appreciate your bringing this book to the attention of the forum and I hope you will continue to do so with any other GIMP reads. I hope my review does not offend you, it's just my opinion--you say tomato, I say tomahto.

Even before I read the part of Sindy's post quoted above, my pea brain was already there.

I don't think this news is all bad. That's easy for me to say, since I didn't belong to MovieBound. Nonetheless, it would be great to have Sindy contributing regularly on this forum, as she obviously has a wealth of information to add. So I say welcome.

That dichotomy, though, is part of our existence, that for every good thing there is at least one bad thing. For every person who wants to speak out and create diverse and meaningful dialog, there is a troll who just wants to sow dissension and stifle understanding. For every person who wants to read insightful and nuanced comments that nurture thoughtful consideration, there is a hater who wants to embarrass and ridicule. For every huge creative soul who wants to build there is a small dark malignancy who wants to destroy. And for every enlightened educator striving to teach, there is a twisted propagandist yearning to deceive. And the Internet has given voice to them all.

It is a herculean task to fight the good fight, and misanthrope that I am, it seems to me that the good people eventually get worn down while the bad people seem to go on and on. It is because the good people have to play by the rules to remain good, while the bad people gleefully ignore the rules, but are nevertheless very quick to point out when a good person breaks them, and in so doing compromises that essential distinguishing goodness. We hold our heroes to a high standard and are quick to criticize and condemn them, but we accept that bad people are always with us and expect nothing but evil from them, and so never condemn or criticize them at all. And so we get what we deserve.

I cannot begin to list the number of websites I have abandoned because the trolls took over. The only solution, given the proliferation and unending supply of trolls, seems to be a moderated approach that unavoidably involves some level of censorship. Yet censorship is anathema to me, personally. Unless, it seems, I agree with the censoring, which certainly points up a flaw in my philosophy. It is a conundrum and a paradox.

I visited MovieBound off and on but so infrequently, apparently, that I did not realize there were comments. I just looked at the pictures and read the intros. That's probably just as well, since I read a few of the parting shot comments today and didn't much care for them. I'm not sure why the GIMP Forum has fared so well against the trolls. I have read heated exchanges and serious differences of opinion, but rarely have I read the kind of illogical, intentionally inflammatory screeds typical of trolls. Maybe Ralphus is just a talented moderator who shields us from trolls but preserves the spirited controversies.

This is all just a lengthy, rambling way of saying to Sindy Sin: You fought the good fight. It was a wonderful blog while it lasted. I hope to read more of your comments here now that your energy is not being sucked away by ungrateful trolls at MovieBound.

Most porn series revolve around some kind of readily apparent fetish, for better or for worse. Gangbang, rape, bondage, hair color, race, interracial, a specific costume, M/F, F/F, FF/m, and so on and so forth. Most of Attacker's famous series are similarly easily classified: Sex Slave Training, Wives, School Uniforms, and Detectives, are the subject of their most well-known series. But somewhere, deep in the depths of their big list of series, rests the series that I'm going to review today. Despite having 18 entries to date, it is listed 25th on Attackers list of series.

The theme is a rather abstract, in terms of sexual fetishes, but one GIMPers here can easily recognize: "Bad Endings". While many bondage and rape films feature girls and detectives that eventually escape to safety, kill their captors, or are only victims of "catch-and-release rape", the women of "To the Point of Falling..." never, ever get off easy. Tears, bondage, dog cages, brandings, inescapable blackmail, mind breaking, brainwashing, or even death are all that await these women. Aside from that, there's not really anything else that links the episodes, and there are many different takes on that one theme.

There are quite a few entries from several different directors, and vary wildly in quality and roughness. Here is a nearly complete overview, with some entries missing due to me not having seen them, or not really cared about them.

Since there really isn't any kind of numbering scheme for the series, I'm going to lump it by director, first focusing on the director responsible for 4 of the best entires:

Honorary Episode: GAME OVER, SHKD-249, with Yuka Haneda. The only this isn't part of the series is because it came out before the series existed. I like to think of it as the movie that spurred the creation of the series. Yuka Haneda plays a desperate failed actress, who after getting rejected time after time, applies to a nanny job for a handicapped woman and her brother. However, something is wrong with the woman, and something is certainly creepy about the older brother. Yuka eventually finds a tape chronicalling the woman's abuse, and leaves to turn it in to the authorities. However, a last-minute change of heart leads her to go back and try to take the victimized woman with her. And instead, she gets caught, raped, bound, gagged, and shoved in a dog cage. The woman tries to free her... but gets caught by her brother and drowned. After some more gang rapes, the series ends with Yuka in her dog cage, crying and rattling its walls. A great movie, and one of Yuka's best.

THE END, ATID-157: Two investigators are caught and raped. Riria is killed for no legitimate reason early on, and her friend is forced to experience the brunt of the torment. It ends with her in her white prison cell, clinging to the remains of her clothing and crying.

Special Investigator, ATID-165: A fairly popular entry here, and one of the best, involving two special agents captured, bound, raped, and forced into lezdom at gunpoint. It's like an extended apology for Riria's early death in THE END.

Sneaking Investigator, FAKE: ATID-158 An undercover agent investigates some slavery, but after turning on the criminals, others kidnap the detective's younger sister. A rape montage later, she basically has to do as they ask, because they have her sister indefinitely. This is the worst of this director's efforts, easily.

Sneaking Investigator, SHKD-373: A bitch of an investigator sends her assistant on a mission way beyond her depths, where the young apprentice is quickly caught, raped, branded, and enslaved. Trying to rescue her, the lead investigator is, of course, caught, raped, and bound.

Urban Legend, RBD-164: There are urban legends about women that are caught, bound to a chair, and enslaved. A cop is investigating the crimes, only to be ambushed and raped. She escapes, but won't let the issue go. For that, her superiors (who are in charge of the kidnappings) drug her, and enslave her. She gets bound to a special red chair, and raped repeatedly. The final scene is "Three Months Later", and she's still bound to the chair. She isn't crying, isn't screaming, isn't moaning-- instead, she just stares vacantly into space, cum splattered against her face.

Other directors:

Female Teacher, Contract of Disgrace, SHKD-301: Only notable for its really hot star and sexy lingerie. She is enslaved for a student's father, bound, raped, and forced to walk on all fours and eat off of the floor.

Female Teacher, SHKD-348: A teacher falls into disfavor with her employers. I think it is basically a blackmail plot that turns dark near the end, with the teacher bound, gagged, and blindfolded, strapped to a chair with a vibrator inside of her. An okay entry.

Female Teachers, Slave Training Curriculum, SHKD-366: I can't imagine this being a good place to work. It's a school with some kind, with twisted disciplinary committee. One stern female teacher initiates punishment against another out of jealousy, That teacher is raped repeatedly until she's a broken shell of her former self, but then other male teachers use the broken teacher to initiate a committee vote against the stern bitch. A pretty enjoyable entry.

Female Teacher, Violated by the Pupil, RBD-180: The title says it all. I don't remember much about it.

Woman Lawyer, JBD-144: It's a JBD movie, with all of the standard JBD fetishes (Bad acting, candle wax, rope, etc.) I don't like JBD movies.

Sneaking Investigator, For You, JBD-143: Oh, look, another JBD movie!

Narcotics Agent, -SURRENDER - ATID-160: A drug agent is caught and raped. She escapes and collects semen samples, but is mentally scarred from her rape (and has a somewhat convincing mental breakdown in her apartment) and continues to investigate, finding some of the men that raped her and beating them to death with brass knuckles. She tries to kill some more, but is foiled by a bullet proof vest. More rape ensues At the end, she is gassed, and place in a body bag. Is she dead, or just unconscious? I don't know.

Complete Hypnosis Humiliation Actress, RBD-232: One about hypnosis/brainwashing. Not nearly as rough as the other ones, with no bondage, and an ambiguous ending (she likes it in the end, because she is completely brainwashed).

Sneaking Investigator, Chasing the Corrupt Entertainment Professionals: ATID-166: An undercover agent investigates models that have been disappearing. She finds one of the missing girls... who betrays her. She then spends the next 90 minutes getting gangraped and starring in a few movies of her own.

ATID-180, RBD-261: I've seen them, but I don't recall them being particularly noteworthy.

Overall, a pretty good series, but like all Attackers series is inconsistent in quality. The best, I'd say, are ATID-157, ATID-165, RBD-164, and SHKD-373, and of course Yuka Haneda's SHKD-249, as unofficial as it may be.

So I receive a care package from an online buddy and pull out the first disc - it contains a movie and I use the term loosely - trailer at the above link for "Meat for Satan's Icebox" - made by some outfit called "Kiss of Death Productions" based in the cinematic capital of the U.S., Pittsburgh - this bunch makes Bill Zebub look like an accomplished award winning movie director - my run of bad movies presenting themselves as Gimp-worthy continues - perhaps I'll start a new feature ala Dan Ackroyd on SNL doing his "Bad Cinema" hosted Leonard Pimpff-Garnell - "Bad Gimp Cinema" hosted by Sloth - well, at least we can look forward to the release of "Maleficarum" this fall.

I'm not sure why this book just seemed different than other ones that feature hanging from the wrists moments, which is why I liked it so much. I read a lot of Richard Laymon too but never feel like he really gives a good feel for what being tied like this is like. If people are interested though his books almost always feature a girl hanging from the wrists at some point, or at least the ones I read always do. They are also very brutal.

I also want to express my sadness about the Moviebound site going away, or least not being updated anymore. I visited it every couple of days and now don't know what I'm going to fill that time with.

I don't share the same feelings about some of your other picks, though, although I can't recall my specific issues with them.

For example, I wasn't too impressed with ATID-157. As best I can recall, I think I found it too stagey or something. It didn't turn my crank, for whatever reason.

I also wasn't impressed with GAME OVER, with Yuka Haneda. But I can't describe why the movie didn't work for me, as it was some time ago that I saw it. I can barely remember it. Maybe I should give it a second chance.

But what's with this horny guy? He passes up a perfect opportunity and instead goes for some shiny, glowing, snaky thing. Emperor of the world - ppfft, who needs it? I'd take the chick.

Sloth: I'm not sure whether you meant your comment about Pittsburgh being the cinematic capital of the U.S. to be taken seriously or in jest. Either way, it's true that a lot of movies have been made in Pittsburgh (my hometown) - in fact, for the last several weeks they've been filming the new Batman here. Imagine - a snowy scene in Pittsburgh in August!

But you certainly discovered a turd of movie from Kiss of Death Productions, a group that I've heard of but know nothing about. Thanks to your warning, I can avoid their work.

At least they got the women naked. That's an essential first step to fine film-making.

Do you ever pay a little extra attention when one of those missing persons stories hits the news, particularly if the missing person is a young, attractive woman? I know I do. There's usually a big splash for about a week, then slowly, the coverage starts to decrease because there's nothing new to report. Sometimes it takes months or even years before we hear anything about the case. On rare occasions the news is good, but most of the time it ends badly. And then sometimes we never hear anything more about what happened. She just suddenly, mysteriously vanishes without a trace and is never heard from again. Ever wonder whatever happened to her?

It does happen a lot. In reality, hundreds if not thousands of people turn up missing very year, but it seems like the media mainly concentrates on the story if the missing person is young and cute. The attractive females always seem to get the most attention, by far. There's clearly a reason for this, and the media knows it. Sex sells.

That's just one of the points made in the new film Megan is Missing, a story that's told with a variety of techniques, including web-chat cameras, cell-phone video chats and simulated news footage to give it a realistic feel, a la The Blair Witch Project. It's about 2 teenage girls who disappear within weeks of each other. Although it's a fictional film, it's based on real life incidents. And as a movie, it ranges from funny, sad, emotionally poignant to downright chilling, and yet it's consistently fascinating to watch. I couldn't turn away, although there were times I wish I had.

The film stars beautiful young actresses Rachel Quinn as Megan and Amber Perkins as her best friend Amy. We're instantly drawn to them because they're young and pretty, but it's their believable performances that give the film its strength. It's not hard to believe that this story could be real. And that's what makes it so effective.

Megan is a popular girl in school, and she's a typical girl for her age in that she experiments with drugs and has sex with boys, partly to retain her social status, and partly to take her mind off her troubled life. She was molested by her stepfather when she was younger and she hates her mom. At times she wishes she could just leave and start a new life.

By contrast, her friend Amy is a sweet, nice girl with loving parents, but she also suffers from extremely low self-esteem. She's still a virgin, and probably has never had a boyfriend. She doesn't do drugs and the other girls think she's a square and don't like her. She seems to be the complete opposite of Megan, but that doesn't stop the two from hanging out constantly. The two are proverbial BFFs.

One day, one of Megan's friends tells her about a guy she's met online named Josh. The picture she sends Megan is of a good-looking guy who skateboards. Megan chats with him online (she can't see him because his webcam is broken) and the 2 make arrangements to hook up. And then Megan vanishes.

Eventually surveillance camera footage is released to the media showing Megan being grabbed in a parking lot. And this causes Amy to suspect that this new Josh boy may have something to do with it. She takes her suspicions to the police. That's when things really get out of hand.

I'm not going to give away too much because this is a real movie and not a traditional GIMP film, but I will say there's bondage, humiliation, a rape scene, implied torture and one disturbingly long sequence that I won't forget any time soon. Be warned, though, this is not exploitation by any means; hardcore GIMPers may not be turned on by what they see. In fact, it's more horrifying because of what it doesn't show than it might be if it showered us with titillating images. It might even make you stop and take pause next time you see one of those missing person stories on the TV or the Internet. It did me.

My grade: A

I saw MEGAN IS MISSING a couple of months ago. I debated talking about it here but I decided that it would come up at some point with or without me, and that I didn't want to be the one to bring it here.

MEGAN IS MISSING (MIM) is a movie that had a profound effect on me, and that made me sad for a good three weeks or so. At first it's just an over-the-top, sickening and relentlessly ugly depiction of teenage life. Early in the film, the girls go to this disgusting teen sex party. Amy, Megan's friend, has a horrible time, a sleazy older bum comes onto her and when she resists, he punches her in the face, she runs to find Megan and can't, the mean girls clique starts screaming in her face gangster-style, and when she finds Megan she is high as a kite and blowing some thug who is dragging her around by the hair.

If you detach and don't invest in the characters, you can watch this kind of thing with no problem. But if you tend to get into the characters and invest in them, this is unbearable.

It's a weird movie because it comes off as being very sleazy and exploitative. The party I mentioned, and a scene where Megan details her sexual experiences to Amy come off as being very trashy. The thing is, the real problems haven't even begun yet at that point, because Megan hasn't gone to meet her Internet boy Josh.

I couldn't enjoy this movie because it was too real, and too sad. And for a while, I thought the filmmakers were inept, but once the storyline picks up I realized that they were actually pretty on top of their game, and hit me with some real shocks and a very dramatic reveal that really punched me (and everybody else, according to the IMDB comments) right in the face.

But it's not over yet. We still have to see what happens to Amy, and we do. Everyone on this board has seen this stuff a hundred times if not a thousand, but this is different. We've all seen our abduction-oriented porn, or our rape-oriented porn, or even our unhappy-ending oriented porn. This is different, because this is like watching it for real. And it is deeply affecting and sad. I was so moved that I gave it a 10/10, because it's not easy to beat the hell out of me and make me care about characters, and set up a situation and do a dramatic reveal in the way I might have done it and have never seen it done. And it's not easy, after having seen virtually every horror film ever made, to actually horrify me.

I am neither recommending for or against. but if you my fellow gimpers do see it, I hope you'll come here and comment.

Some Gimpers might wonder why anyone would watch a movie that is almost guaranteed to leave them depressed, particularly since one of the joys of watching a typical Gimp movie is the ability -- that I think most on the forum have -- to separate the images on the screen from reality. But I am also one who is attracted to movies that are able to move me emotionally, even if that move is toward depression for a period.

DHT, your thoughts about "Megan is Missing" are eloquent and greatly appreciated.

(The Badger is one of my all-time favorite superheroes.)

What is interesting about all these sites is I got to watch them evolve from humble beginnings to quite startling transformations. I got to see the rise and fall of Insex - I have never got into their new site - Hardtied, and of course the rise and fall (if you can call the lack of any new material the fall) of ZFX. Currently, it is fascinating to watch the evolution of Red Feline and its principal creators, Jan, Margot, and Jane. Of all of them the potential for Red Feline seems limitless - I am really hoping for great things from them, they definitely have the creative insight. It is fun watching it develop.

And of course the evolution of this site has been amazing, kudos to Ralphus, Scribbler and all the contributors. When you see sites fade away as has been discussed here recently, it makes you appreciate even more the effort that is required to keep and site relevant and current.

Where do I begin, well first of all I am writing this after a sleepless night. Megan Is Missing was a movie I have never heard of, until a shocked Sindy sent me a link for it yesterday, after she read about it over here. Sindy was shocked, yeah, a bit over dramatic, its only a movie, wrong. I can't recall the last time something has affected me to such a degree of rage and sadness, who's being over dramatic now you may ask. The movie is hard hitting, depicting the world we now live in, where monsters lurk, not in dark corners, but in our homes, waiting to pounce on the young, the weak and the innocent. Yeah, we have always known that they exist, we see it on the news most evenings, people disappearing, vanished without a trace, but like a lot of things we build up a detachment. What this movie does is hit you right in the face, a wake up call. I do recommend everyone should watch this.

For me it was very disturbing to view, but with that said, it delivers a message we all need to hear. This is my personal view, sure I could have written a whole lot more, but being still fresh in my mind, my anger prohibits me at this moment in time, watch the movie and you'll know what I mean. No doubt, Sindy has her own views on this movie, and I would imagine she will share them later.

DHT: After reading your thoughts on 'Megan is Missing' I had to see why it had left such an impression on you, that it had not left your mind for 3 weeks, what disturbed you? And now I know.

I am a massive horror fan, books, movies you name it. And I love torture porn. But this movie, in DHT's words 'is different'. It has in no way any satisfying result after watching it. And from time to time we all watch a movie that makes us really think. 'Horrified' is a word that comes to mind and 'shock', and that's really saying something. How often do people these days shock so easily, it doesn't happen very often. For most people, it would be hard not to invest in the characters and become emotionally involved for the time the movie runs. Due to personal knowledge 'Megan is Missing' hits me on levels I would prefer not to feel. Should 'you' watch it? A most definite yes.

But do not go into it expecting gratification, because there is none to be had here. Not for me anyway, it's too realistic. Would I watch it a second time? The answer is no I wouldn't. But everyone is different, don't take my word for it, take a look and see for yourself.

Well, looks like Megan Is Missing is getting a lot of attention here lately. I'm not really surprised; if you watch it, you're likely to have a pretty strong reaction to it. I debated back and forth about whether or not to review it here, for a few reasons. Even though it definitely has elements that we pervs normally like, it didn't feel right to give my usual blow by blow accounting of the "good parts" because it's not that type of film. And secondly, the realistic tone I felt would be a turn-off for many of our readers here. I thought it was interesting that DHT saw the movie two months ago but hesitated to even bring it up here until I reviewed it myself. Does that tell you this film is something a little different?

I usually don't have time to review movies of the board with the frequency that I used to, but I made an exception for this movie because it had an effect on me, too. I also don't hand out too many A's but had no problem giving this one a high grade. I usually grade a film based on how much the scenes turned me on. Not this time. This movie got an A for being a damn good film, period.

DHT: I wish you hadn't waited to review Megan is Missing, but I'm glad you eventually did. I'm adding your comments to the Review section alongside mine. I think it qualifies as a review. You gave it a 10/10 as your rating, what would you consider it if you gave it a grade? A or A+? Let me know so I can make it right. Sloth: Just got around to watching the Silent Sam electro-torture scene that Hank posted. Not a bad scene, the bare tits were a plus. A bit annoying that the bad guy opens up her top to expose her lovely breasts, then shocks her on the shoulders! The shoulders? You had those nice puppies right in front of you, why not shock them? I guess that's the difference between a mainstream movie and something made by Rick Masters.

Rick Masters: Thanks for getting back to me on the War Pigs scene. I thought that was the right movie but everything tends to blur together as I get older. BTW, I really enjoyed that film, that and the sequel. I recently went back and took a look at my edited highlights. Always loved Chandra as a victim. That's one I need to upgrade to DVD. We don't have a review of that movie, that might be a good one to tackle further on down the line.

First, it was depressingly real, and I do not like depressingly real movies. I like my GIMP exploitative and sexy, playing up all the fearful, erotic, and painful aspects but downplaying the reality aspects. I am looking for entertainment, albeit perhaps perverse entertainment by some folks' standards.

As an example, although I am not a fan of hanging/strangulation videos, let's consider watching a struggling "victim" slowly strangle at the end of a rope, feet twitching and jerking above the floor until she's dead, then her tormentor taking her down for some necro-sex. Well, in the Real World, chances are that upon death, her sphincter would relax, her bowels would void, and feces would run down her legs and pool on the floor and that just sounds like a buzzkill to me, necro-sex-wise.

Or in a standard fare BATS scene, I am pretty sure that hair would catch fire and sizzle away long before a sheen of perspiration would bead up on a heaving naked bosom as the flames rose higher and caused the victim to sweat. Bald crackly crispy critter vs screaming, struggling, perspiration soaked naked hottie. See? I want my GIMP cinematically realistic, which is nothing like Real Life realistic.

Plus, just as an aside, I did not think the movie was all that well made. But I can pull enjoyable vignettes from some of the worst movies, so that was not a big deal.

The second reason I didn't like the movie, and in fact found it offensive, is its apparent raison d'etre--its "based on a true story" documentary oh we must make people aware these horrible things happen, so that's why we showed it all in such ugly, stark detail attitude. Please. I am annoyed by blatant (and in my opinion, poorly executed--although apparently by recent comments grudgingly effective) propaganda intended to inflame and incite based on rare circumstances.

Do you question my characterization of sensational kidnap/rape/murders as rare? Good! It might mean you are just hopelessly programmed to believe the hype and disbelieve arguments to the contrary, but hopefully it means that you are open-minded and thoughtful.

[Caveat: I am using numbers that are a decade old, but I am reasonably certain the basic percentages have not changed all that much. It takes time to compile and analyze data and up-to-date numbers and reports are harder to come by.]

According to the US Census Bureau, the population of the United States in 2000 was 281,421,906. According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, 797,500 children are reported missing in any given year. (This figure was taken from a 2002 report.)

If you do the math, that means that 28/100ths of one percent of the American population are children who are reported missing each year and some of them are victims of a kidnapping. The numbers for confirmed abductions are lower, since some are likely runaways and some likely disappear without any resolution:

Child abductions by family members: 203,900
Child abductions by acquaintances (but non-family members): 58,200
Child abductions characterized as "stereotypical" (random kidnapping): 115

The movie Megan is Missing is an example of a "stereotypical" kidnapping, which statistically happens to 0.0000004% of the population. That's 1 in 2.5 million.

So intellectually, I am angry that this movie is trying to trick people into thinking there's a reasonable chance that "This could happen to YOUR child!" and intimating that cracking down on the Internet or curtailing typical teenage courtship, sex and mating rites, or outlawing essential freedoms of speech and expression are necessary to prevent it. Based on the random comments on IMDB--and some comments on the GIMP forum--that's exactly what it did. Why does that bother me? Let's face it, GIMPers: if the emotionally stimulated torch and pitchfork crowd gets riled up about kidnap/rape/torture enough, they will come after the harmless pervs who enjoy this web site.

NEWS FLASH: You could turn off the Internet and take away every right and every freedom of every American and children would still get kidnapped, abused and murdered. If not by random people-next-door, then by twisted authority figures in the ensuing totalitarian government. That darkness is programmed into human nature and will never be eliminated.

I am not saying such things do not happen. I am saying they happen rarely enough that you shouldn't get all worked up about it. And what this movie does is gets people worked up about it.

If you are truly concerned with this in-no-way-whatsoever-out-of-control problem in the United States, I cannot fault your compassion. However, if you would actually like to make a difference instead of just jumping on emotional bandwagons, consider that your outrage and energy might be better directed at these problems:

1 in 50 children is homeless in the US every year (CNN Report), and

1 in 4 children in America is at risk of hunger (Childhood Hunger in America Report).

My advice (which no one asked for but I am on a roll here) is to exercise your outrage against, and spend your time and energy trying to alleviate, problems that are really real that you can have an effect on instead of gnashing your teeth, rending your garments, and trying to eliminate problems that are so rare as to be ridiculous. The world of Megan is Missing is not the world we now live in. The world we now live in has much more mundane, much sadder, but annoyingly less sensationalistically cinematic issues. Be concerned with the real Real World.

And avoid bad filmmakers who try to make mountains out of molehills. Or at least take them with a grain of salt.

When I was four, and our country was in the grip of a martial law (yes, I'm from the former Soviet Block, which is not defunct, although I was stunned to learn from a brilliant American polititian that it still exists) me and my parents managed to leave our country for USA (we had some relatives there). And we've been constantly tempted to stay in the capitalist paradise. My dad said yes. My mom said no. And so we went back to the People's Republic Of Poland, which was toppled in the next few years and replaced with the inept, corrupt mess that we have here now, but which is not as half as oppressive as the country I visited when I was four. And every colleague in my workplace agrees that U.S.A. are no longer a paragon of democracy, to say the least.

I was correct that the movie was going to elicit strong reactions from people. Well-made entertainment usually does, and I totally disagree with your contention that this film is not well-made. The performances by the 2 leads are excellent, and they are in the film probably about 98% of the time. I thought the dialogue was spot-on. That's the way teenage girls talk. The scene where Megan describes her sexual experiences that DHT thought was exploitative was, in fact, lifted nearly word for word by the director when he was interviewing teenage girls in preparation for the film.

My only "problem" with the whole documentary style of the film was that the images looked too good for the type of media it was using at the time. They cheated a bit in that aspect, but I actually appreciated that they used professional camera equipment so that I wouldn't be squinting through blurry webcam footage for an hour and a half.

I also do like realistic films. I'm one of those rare birds who loves documentaries. I totally understand that some people go to the movies to escape life, to go some mythical fantasy land and forget about reality for 2 hours. Me, I like to see films about real people, or at least realistic depictions of people. If a film moves me, even depresses me, it probably did a good job of making me believe what it was trying to portray.

So I'm not going to criticize a film about teenage abduction because it was too real and not to the safe comfort level that Hollywood usually gives us. Where we can see gruesome events unfold but they're still sexy and erotic and the damsel is still beautiful even though she's been kidnapped, tied up or worse. We love the fantasy. So do I. But my fantasies have always been based in reality. It's a real conundrum that some people would rather not deal with at all. I don't mind going that extra step.

And I don't necessarily go along with your claim that it will begin a wave of censorship against people who enjoy the type of movies we do. Most people already dislike murderers, rapists and child molesters. They're only one step above politicians for a lot of us. And yet hundreds of films glorifying crimes like these have been made over the years and people watch and like them so they keep making more. It's entertainment, and most people can understand the difference. The only reason a film like this will get people worked up is because, like I said before, it is extremely well-made.

Are the circumstances that occurred in the film a relatively rare thing? Yes, thank God. But are there sick people out in the world who would do things like this to others? Yes, there are. This film represents a worst-case scenario, but it's a precautionary tale that should alert parents and their children to at least be careful out there. I think that's a good thing.

As far as the rarity of abductions, I think you are lost in your numbers. I think you should ask some police officers in major cities how rare they are. Maybe you can tell them your statistics and that will cheer them up. Rare or not, one is honestly too many. Any family who has faced this will be happy to explain that to you.

But that's all I have to say about that. I hope no one reads hostility into it, because there is none. John Galt is an awesome poster who always brings something interesting to the table.

Interesting trivia: Were it not for Megan Is Missing, I would not have found Endure! Thanks, little recommendations on the bottom of IMDB pages! What a happy surprise that one was.

At the risk of sounding ungrateful, the details about Lars's '70s-style pubes may have been a bit too much information. Nonetheless, Christina Lindberg looks cute and the movie sounds very promising.

DHT: Well, I did link to what I considered reputable and reliable sites for my numbers, and I did it specifically so no one would think I spontaneously created my argument in the absence of facts. Do you know something about the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that I don't, that would call into question their statistics? Do you get different results when you crunch those numbers? If you have different data, it would be more constructive to enlighten me. I do not want to be misinformed or mistaken, and so I am always looking for aspects of a situation that I might have overlooked. Unless you disagree on an, umm, emotional level and just, you know, feel that I'm positing a straw man argument, then I am open to discussion.

I would definitely question a police officer's anecdotal observations if they ran counter to a national organization that spends a lot of time and effort compiling statistics based, strangely enough, on reports by police officers. I would not question that officer's feelings or observations as they applied to him, but if he made claims that his personal observations were the national norm, and they conflicted with reports published by the FBI, NCIC, and relevant organizations, I would conclude he was in factual error.

I am disappointed but not surprised that you employed a cheap emotional attack against me in your parting shot. (Oop, you just disengaged, didn't you?) I don't think I said anything that would lead anyone to believe I think there is an acceptable number of child abductions. For you to imply that is wrong.

However, if you want an emotional conundrum, let's say you have the last $1 billion government grant to spend on a population of, say 2.5 million children. Do you use it to fund a program that would stop one of those children from being abducted and murdered in a Megan is Missing manner, or a program that would alleviate the hunger of 625,000 children? Or would you partially fund both? How much of that grant would insure that that single abduction would be thwarted? How many hungry children is an acceptable number to insure that outcome? I have an idea. Let's ask the parents of the hungry children how many is acceptable.

Pseudo-documentary movies that rile people up about rare (but no less important) problems detract attention away from common (but equally important) problems. My point is, all things being equal (meaning you are not the parent of an abducted child), we would all be better served by spending proportionately more time and resources worrying about issues that negatively impacted the greater number of children. Propagandistic movies that prevent that are counterproductive to society.

Since I am also not above the occasional cheap shot: This would be the point where you wish that I have a child abducted and murdered and then see what I thought. But I say that with no hostility. ;)

Oh and by the way, I am not an Objectivist, my avatar just sounds like one. An Objectivist would say, "Fuck them all if they can't feed and take care of themselves."

There are underlying premises in your statement, in which you posit the reasons the movie was made. However, it is important to note that movies are often made for reasons other than to rile people about a problem. Usually they're made to make a profit, which means an interesting story is better than a common/plain story, because it's generally believed that most people want something other than the usual "parent took child in custody battle" story.

Also, in the GIMP genre, it's important to stress the social or artistic aspects of the story, to avoid being labeled obscene by the courts. So, a story about a common/shared (if statistically rare) fear involving GIMP is more likely to be made like this movie, if only because the story goes towards that socially-common fear (stranger abduction) and thus is socially valuable. Having not seen the movie, I don't know why you would believe it was made to rile people up.

I myself am more likely to believe the movie was made to make money for someone and that the story was interesting to that person, regardless if it's not statistically justified.

Let's face it, statistics won't overcome human emotions. Statistically, cars are more dangerous than guns (example: in 1998, 41,000 people died in car-related deaths vs 30,000 in gun-related deaths), yet many people fear guns and think nothing of getting into a car. I'm not surprised people will believe statistically rare things over common things.

I for one believe that movies should be entertaining and don't necessarily need to make a social point. Moreover, I don't think that people should judge movies as counterproductive to society as you did in the quote above-weighing whether they adequately and correctly address a social issue. It seems to me that movies would get pretty boring then. Plus, how could I enjoy Princess Leia in bondage in Return of the Jedi, knowing that slavery was abolished by the 13th Amendment, meaning that the movie doesn't address a valid modern social issue and thus, is counterproductive? (my tongue is firmly planted in cheek, and I'm just kidding. I know you can't possibly be this rigid.)

We all have to come to terms with our GIMP fantasies and the reality out in the cruel world of abduction, rape, and torture. I joined Amnesty International shortly after the abuses at Abu Ghraib were exposed. It seemed a constructive response to my anger that my country committed this atrocity and my guilt about my own bondage and torture fantasies. There's not much I can do about the kind of abduction portrayed in "Megan Is Missing". It sounds too depressingly real to be a turn-on so I don't think I'll watch it. It reminds me of a stanza from a Wallace Stevens poem called "The Shield of Achilles"

I submit that if you think this is a cautionary tale because you think there is a statistical likelihood of it happening to you or yours, then you have drunk the filmmakers' Kool-Aid.

I think everybody made good points in the whole Megan Is Missing issue, especially me. But we're steering just a little off the topic of movies and more into social problems of the country. When it gets right down to it, I'd rather talk about women being tied up and abused. I think that's something we can all agree on.

John, I really enjoyed reading your latest review (in between sips of Kool-Aid). I've seen the film under its more well-known title Exposed (it's also known as The Depraved). In fact, the tied to the bed rape clip has been posted here before, although it might have been before you arrived. Hank Hobbs has some great caps and also posted the scene at his Yahoo group a while back. It is definitely one of my favorites, too.

Christina Lindberg is one of the all-time great babes in my book. I have a thing for Swedish women, anyway. I had never heard of her before I went on the Internet but I was stuck by her beauty and discovered she has a real cult following even today. I'm not surprised, even though to my knowledge, she never made a film in this country. I mean, look at this picture. Even with her clothes on, you can't take your eyes off her.

From what I understand, someone came up to the producer of Exposed and told him if you want to make money, cast this girl; her pin-up is on half the walls of men in this country. I agree, her acting mainly consists of staring blankly, but it doesn't really matter when you look like her. Honestly, though, the film as a whole is mostly a tease up until that last 10 minutes. But that last scene...wow. I always cut off the scene right before she stabs the guy with the knife, though. Not my idea of a climax.

Don't want to beat a dead horse on the Megan is Missing issue, but I would like to add, in a more generic sense, this thought:

Whether it's movies or fiction, or movies/fiction "based on actual events", the issue is not certainty or probability...it's plausibility. The reader/viewer has to be able to take it all in and say "this could happen" or "this has happened" or even just "in my mind, I can suspend disbelief for a few hours". That's the essence of entertainment.

Writers and producers are like people telling stories around a campfire (most likely their primeval origin). What they are saying may or may not be true, the events they describe may be rare or frequent...doesn't matter. Their main concern is not to be tedious and not to stray too far from plausibility.

YikYakker - I was only half joking with the Pittsburgh cinema reference - they do quite a bit of film work there - seems to be the case that they just don't do any good Gimp cinema, at least from that bunch - I'm reminded of "Videodrome" when they trace the source of the dungeon scenes and appear amazed when it turns out to be Pittsburgh - ah, but that were only true.

As for what happened, it's movies like this that prove to myself that maybe I'm not as sick of a bastard as I think I am. I was not titillated at all. I think the main reason is that the victims were young girls. Has anyone thought about if the victims were college age girls, would it have had a different impact? Would you have felt as sorry for them? I have to wonder, because I in no way get off on violence to underage girls. Violence to adult women, why yes I do! Just a thought if anyone else who saw the movie think they would have reacted differently if the victims were adult women?

To sum up, a good movie, told in an appropriate way, I think. But like Sindy Sinn said, I don't think I will watch it again. Too much of a downer.

Jason, have you seen Abduction on Devils Peak by B&D Pleasures? If not, you should definitely check it out. It has a lot of the things that you're asking for.

Good call. That was definitely one of the better B&D releases.

The star, Lena Ramon, isn't exactly a runway model but she's attractive enough. And there's a nice variety of torture and humiliation.

I do a lot of postings on tributetotarl and it seems one of my posts Megan is Missing caused quite a stir.

Actually, I think it was my review that started things around here but I'll give you credit since if you hadn't posted the stills, I would not have sought out the movie in the first place. It was actually your comment about finding the movie "disturbing and sick" and your brief description of what happened that made me put it first in my Netflix queue. Disturbing and sick are usually keywords for fine GIMP entertainment.

I really didn't have much other forewarning about the film going in but figured I'd invest an hour and half and see what the fuss was about. I was pretty shocked myself by how effective the movie was. It is definitely one that will produce a strong reaction from anyone who watches it, whether it be positive or negative.

BTW, welcome to the board. I know you from your postings at Tarl's group. That group is one of the best on the Internet. It would be great to have you become a regular contributor here.

I was not titillated at all. I think the main reason is that the victims were young girls. Has anyone thought about if the victims were college age girls, would it have had a different impact? Would you have felt as sorry for them?

I don't think the age makes any difference. When you say "young girls", that makes it sound like they were 9 or 10. That wasn't the case here. Even though the characters were supposed to be younger teenagers, both actresses were 18 at the time of shooting and they both looked 18, too. Technically, both actresses were college age already.

I think the reason we felt sorry for them is because we spent half the movie getting to know them before things happened and we liked both of them. They were both nice girls, girls we would have loved to date or hang out with. Most females in GIMP movies exist to play victims in the story, which is normally a good thing since they're easier for us to objectify. In this case, the horrors that befell them were more shocking since I don't think we were necessarily thinking of them in that context beforehand. It just didn't seem...right to do that to these truly innocent girls. Maybe I'm not as big a perv as I thought.

I've seen Sex and Fury and pretty much agree with your review. Not a great film, but with a few highlights that made it worthwhile. For me it was Yuki's rape and also the film's best scene, when Christina whipped that chick while she was chained to the floor. I'll have to see about getting some caps of that for the Whipping Scenes Database. My job is never done.

So this chick named Muffy makes her living by checking out real estate and if the agent has jewelry etc on she breaks into their home later and rips them off. This time she is after Jody. She breaks in, binds and gags Jody and rummages through the house for valuables. Did I mention for reasons unknown she has ample time to redress and rebind Jody several times during her search? She discovers some rather kinky items in Jody's closet and gives her a few lame lashes with the cat.

Once Muffy exits Jody hobbles her way to a telephone and calls her friend Diane played by Michelle Bauer. She arrives, unties her pal and they concoct a scheme to trap and teach this bitch a lesson. This time Diane plays the leasing agent and Muffy shows up to look at the property. Diane is. of course, wearing lots of bling. Muffy arrives that night, breaks in and is quickly subdued by our heroines, handcuffed and ball gagged and placed in a cage.

Diane has to leave and makes the mistake of leaving a riding crop within reach and Muffy escapes and gets the best of an unsuspecting Jody who is promptly bound and caged. When Diane returns she is knocked out and cuffed. Luckily she has keys in her blouse and quickly gets loose. Together, Diane and Jody overpower Muffy, bind her and put her back in the cage. Once again Diane must leave.

Jody decides to punish Muffy so she places her in a strappado and cat lashes her. She then suspends Muffy by her ankles and more cat lashes. Diane returns and informs Muffy they now know who she is. In an attempt by the producers to give this a moral code with some redeeming social value Diane lectures Muffy and informs her she will be kept hostage until she reforms. Muffy willingly applies her own cuffs and submits to captivity. The End

Movie Pluses - well, there is a lot of bondage in this one, reasonably well done - and you get plenty of skin.

Movie Minuses - it is all chick/chick, major downgrade - other than the strappado lashing there is really no other torment so it is rather vanilla bondage - the reason I watched the flick was Michelle Bauer who is restrained for perhaps two minutes and remains fully clothed for the entire film - downer.

The Verdict - and this film illustrates why Behr's best work came from Blakemore.

My Grade - C

Yeah, me too. The picture came from a web site that was showing hot pics of celebrity babes who were only identified with a number. But I didn't see anyplace where the number indicated who the celebrity was. Some of them were obvious, and except for this one, none of them had GIMP interest. So all I've got is this one pic. Maybe if we let it loose, it will find its companions.

Yes it is intriguing. But the answer to your question is...all of the above. I've had my eye on this for some time...I believe a clip was posted on YouTied. The more information I found about it, the higher it rose on my viewing list. Search the GIMP turned up no comments about it, and before your contribution there was no review.

But there is an entry - now with pics - in the WSIMD. Although I don't like the idea of a heavily-tattooed woman being whipped, the scene looked interesting, there's Christina, a bunch of nuns (I'm a sucker for nunsploitation), and, I had an opportunity to get it at a decent price. So you see, major forces in the universe conspired to bring about this happy coincidence.

I will definitely weigh in with my reactions, once I get around to watching it, which should be sooner rather than later.

I just have a harder time believing it when it's women tying up other women. I do agree with you on one point especially, that when Blakemore left the scene, the quality and especially the harshness of Cal-Star's work went down. There was a long period from the point when Blakemore left in the 1980s until ZFX arrived on the scene in the early 1990s that it was hard to find decent bondage entertainment. I rented a bunch of titles that mostly disappointed me back in that era.

Bill Zebub's new movie: A full length movie of burning dolls at the stake? I've done that. Well, not a whole movie, but I burned a Barbie doll at the stake as one of the segments in my BURN BABY BURN DVD collection. Here's some stills. I took extra care to make sure she looked right before I burned her...I added pussy fur (clipped from her own hair) and gave her nipples (magic marker combined with 2 drops of Elmer's Glue and allowed to harden). John Galt: I'm loving Christina Lindberg Appreciation Week. You've done a fantastic job with your first 3 reviews, and I'll be making my contribution to the cause and closing out the retrospective tomorrow. Thriller: A Cruel Picture didn't do a lot for me as a GIMP film, although I don't remember a lot about it. I do recall being somewhat shocked when the X-rated inserts flashed on the screen. From what I hear, Lindberg was rather upset that they included the hardcore footage without her consent. This wasn't the first time they did that to her. In fact, that was the whole reason why she suddenly retired while still in her prime in the mid 1970s. She was distressed that nude pictures were getting more and more explicit and when she heard that the film she was working on was going to be a porno, she left the set and went back home to Sweden.

The hardcore version I saw was the uncut Synapse DVD that I rented when I belonged to Greencine. Big shocker, Netflix doesn't carry it. In fact, they only carry 2 of Lindberg's films. Greencine has 7, including the 3 you reviewed. Someone tell me why I'm still on Netflix, please.

John Galt: Terrific review - this is one that I have seen and I think your perspectives, caps and grade do justice to the film. Yeah, not much in the GIMPage department, but still fascinating to watch.

Ralphus: I think it's interesting that Christina took a stand against hard-core inserts. Good for her. Personally, I can do without them, because they are obviously not showing the real actress and because they distract from what I would rather see.

My perspective on this may be at bit biased, because right now I've had my fill of the name Bill Zebub.

Y'know when you search for a movie on Amazon and they recommend others for you? (What Other Items Do Customers Buy After Viewing This Item?) Well, for some reason one of his movies - which shall remain nameless - keeps turning up as a recommendation whenever I do a search. And according to the reviewers, it sucks. (What a surprise). So for me, any decision to not show his name or works would be welcomed.

I'm glad you liked the review. I also agree that hardcore inserts are a waste of time. There are those, I am sure, who just like to see close-ups of random genitalia. However, unless it is the actress herself, I really have no interest. I was not put off by the inserts in Thriller: A Cruel Movie, but they didn't add anything to the movie. I think my ambivalence was apparent in my review.

Yep, you just can't go wrong with a naked babe bound spread-eagled. If I had to choose one position that always pushed my buttons, that would be the one. I might need a bit more time to decide whether the preferred location for a naked babe to be bound spread-eagled was on the floor, on an altar, on a desk, staked to the ground outdoors, or somewhere else, but definitely horizontal.

And finally, I have to agree with you completely. One menacing snake moving up between a pair of shapely female legs (blatant phallic imagery, that) is hot. Lots of snakes slithering around for a back massage is just... creepy. And I don't mean that in a good, GIMPish creepy way, either.

During the prime of her career in the early 1970s, legendary Swedish cult actress Christina Lindberg went on a publicity trip to Japan to promote her new film Exposed. This resulted in an invitation to appear in Japanese "pink" exploitation movies, of which she made 2. The first is one of her best known films, Sex & Fury, which John Galt recently reviewed. The second film, by contrast, is relatively unknown and even harder to find, since it was apparently never released on DVD in this country. And that's really a shame. Journey to Japan, also known as The Pornstar Travels Around Japan, is not entirely successful, but it's well worth seeking out. To my knowledge, this is the only movie in her career where Lindberg gets bound and gagged, and if you're a fan of Christina Lindberg like I am, that is definitely a reason to see this film.

The film begins by introducing us to the bumbling lead male character, played by Ichirô Araki, a stereotypical nice guy loser who can't find a girl, and his sexual frustration is driving him crazy. Lindberg plays Ingrid Jacobsen, a Swedish girl who's in Japan to deliver a package, when she mistakenly enters the man's car and expects him to take her to her destination. The two speak different languages so the man can't understand what she's saying, but hey, she's a beautiful girl so he'll gladly take her for a ride. He reluctantly takes off with her in the passenger seat, not really knowing where to go. Halfway through, he decides to stop the charade and tries to ditch her at a coffee shop, but she gets right back into his car. The confused man thinks she wants to go home with him. Imagine the luck.

Once they're inside his home, he goes back and locks the door, causing Ingrid to turn around in surprise. He jumps at her and tries to rape her, only to stop when he cums in his pants. Damn, I guess that's what happens when you stay a virgin for 20 or so years and then all of sudden you get your big chance.

Sometime later in the night, Ingrid goes fishing through his stuff trying to find the key. And undaunted, he tries it again. You can't keep a keep a budding rapist down. This time he throws her on the bed, and when she fights back, he starts beating and slapping her. He pulls off her clothes and gets down to business. As a rape scene it's softcore and dimly lit, but it's clearly not consensual and Lindberg does a great job playing the weeping victim.

Afterward, the sexually satisfied man, clearly proud of himself, relaxes, turns on some music, smiles and looks down at his victim. There's an outstanding full-length tracking shot of a fully nude Lindberg, laying face-down on the floor, starting with her panties at her feet and finishing up on the crying girl's face, looking totally defeated. That shot alone could be considered the "orgasm moment" of the rape scene.

Ingrid decides to make a run for it. She throws open the window and shouts for the police, but our new hero is having none of that. He puts his hand over her mouth to silence her, then hastily grabs a stocking and ties it into her mouth as a gag. He also takes a rope and ties her arms and wrists behind her. He might have been a virgin before but he lives in Japan so he obviously knows bondage. I think it's a required course in school there.

He is awakened the next morning by the sound of Ingrid making all kinds of agitated noises through her gag. He had left her nicely tied, still naked of course, to a rocking chair. Upon checking her out, he discovers she had no choice but to piss on the floor while in her tied up state. Age old problem. Once you've got her tied up, eventually she's gonna have to pee. She might be more trouble than she's worth.

The next night he comes home to find his captive where he left her, now tied on his bed. He picks her up and carries her over his shoulder and loads her into the back seat of his car. She's blindfolded with her hands tied in front, but she's docile as a little lamb and doesn't struggle. He stops by the side of a bridge and tosses her suitcase into the river. Then he picks up Ingrid and prepares to do the same to her. Dude, stop! If you don't want her, I'll take her! Fortunately, a nearby police siren scares him away from that plan, so it's back home to try something else.

Deciding he's going to keep her, the determined young man gets to work. Safeguarding his home, he boards up the windows and gets something more permanent to bind up his unlucky lass, heavy-duty chains. Then he has her pose for pictures while chained up on the bed. Gotta have souvenirs, of course.

This guy is serious. He even buys a book on how to stimulate a woman, pointing out which are her erogenous zones, and of course, he has to try each one out on her. One night while he's raping her, she starts to get turned on, so it looks like all that practice is paying off. But the big doofus makes a big mistake. He takes off her gag and unchains her. Ingrid, realizing she has an out, plays along and completes the lovemaking act with him.

The next morning during breakfast, he takes off her chains for good. Won't be needing these anymore, will we? He leaves her untied, kisses her at the door and leaves her there at home with the door unlocked. She's now his faithful girlfriend and she'll still be waiting for him when he gets home, right?

Guys, if you believe that, you're even dumber and more naive than he is. He returns home with a bouquet of flowers to discover she's not only skipped out, she's robbed him too. Let this be a lesson, if wasn't already crystal clear. Never, ever untie your captive and leave her untied. They can never be trusted.

So where does Ingrid go after her stay in captivity? No, not to the police, to a nightclub. Okay, then. And she meets up with a gang of Yakuza members, including one lady, who befriend her and even offer her a place to stay. Finally, someplace safe, right? Nope, it turns out the entire country of Japan is full of perverts. They throw her down on the floor of the bar, rip off her clothes and the entire group of men proceed to gang-rape her, while the lady of the group gets out her movie camera and films the whole thing! Although again softcore, it's a fairly brutal rape scene with lots of nice shots of Lindberg's screaming face.

That is, unfortunately, the end of all the GIMP scenes in the film. What happens afterward is that Ingrid, dazed, beaten and bruised, is left alone walking the street, where she meets up with the man who abducted her in the first place. He takes her back home, cleans her up and nurses her back to health. And get this, she actually falls in love with him for real this time. Only in the movies, huh?

For this being a Japanese "pink" film, this isn't quite as harsh as many others I've seen. Despite being raped a few times, they went fairly easy on Christina Lindberg, which is kind of a disappointment considering where the film was made. Other than the nightclub rape scene, the film lacks a nasty edge that might have given it more impact. The scenes with her captor actually have a lighter, comic tone to them, and the whole second half is more a drama/love story rather than a serious bondage/rape/captivity type of film. Nonetheless, there is ample Christina Lindberg nudity, and of course, she looks great tied up naked and gagged. If that isn't motivation enough to seek this film out, I'm not sure what else you'd need.

My grade: B

For anyone interested, if you google for "journey to japan torrent" you can get several hits. Not that I would advocate illegally downloading movies, of course, but really if no one is selling the damn movie any more, what difference is it going to make? My copy is a deteriorating VHS tape, so I might look into, umm, alternative delivery methods. I wonder if Anchor Bay takes requests?

The last story was truly bizarre, but I would have liked to see what was going on on the bed while the guy watched. Tarl's vidcaps actually make the movie seem much better than it ultimately is.

Nice choices. I would add The Rack. Although, it's ok if a rack is titled up on an angle a bit, as in Poor Cecily - good for whipping also. Come to think of it, vertical (as in AOH or arms outstretched, works well for whipping, too.

Well, OK. It's a dirty job but someone has to do it.

Well, I don't think she was a great beauty, but she wasn't bad-looking. And I think she was just fine in the original film. At least she had no problem getting naked in the rape scene, which really wasn't all that unusual in the 1970s when this was made. Honestly, some of the best rape scenes in film history occurred in that decade. This is one of the more famous ones, and deservedly so, IMO. There may be some question as to whether it later becomes consensual, but it is a rape and it is explicit, skin-wise.

As for the remake, I have to give them an A right now just for the casting. For one thing, Kate Bosworth IS a great beauty. There was a reason they hired her to be a model in those Revlon ads and that's because she's one of the most attractive women in Hollywood. On that level, she has Susan George beat from the start.

I also looked at the IMDB board and I'm still not convinced we're going to see nudity out of Kate Bosworth in the rape scene. I've been burned too many times to believe it until I see it. Face it, in the era we're living in now, they film entire rape sequences in rapid-pace MTV editing style so that if a bare breast does appear, it's usually only for a spit second. In Bosworth's career, she's not exactly wowed us by showing much skin. One of the benefits of being an actress in the new millennium means you don't have to take off your top for the camera anymore, I guess. A benefit for her, anyway. For us, it's a big ol' negative.

Nonetheless, getting back to the casting, for my money, Susan George wasn't even the most attractive babe in the original film. Nope, for me it was Sally Thomsett, the young nymphet who walked around in a short skirt and later got strangled in the film. I'm not much for strangling and it wasn't exactly the most GIMP-worthy scene in the movie, but boy, she did it for me.

And I checked the IMDB for the remake. Sally's character this time around is played by the equally cute Willa Holland. Yes! Once again, very good casting. I have no idea if this remake will come close to matching the intensity of the 1971 classic, but at least they're on the right track in that respect. I'm cautiously optimistic about this film, even though it has a lot to live up to.

Susan George always looked so British, which was exotic enough, I suppose, but in Straw Dogs she managed to portray a fascinatingly slutty character. Come on, didn't you just know she was going to be spreading her legs for that guy? I think she wanted to be raped by him, but when everyone else joined in is when it turned nonconsensual. Still, it was fun watching her "play" the rape victim before she actually ended up being the rape victim in that scene.

So far I have been thoroughly disappointed in all the GIMPish remake movies, and I fully expect this one to suck as well. Someone else can take the hit and watch it to report back to the forum. Anyone who truly expects a decent modern GIMP movie bears an uncanny resemblance to Charlie Brown running to kick that football that Lucy is holding. You represent the triumph of hope over reality.

Badger - you're a good man to take on that task - like John Galt I sense disappointment on the remake but do agree with Ralphus that Kate is good casting.

Sometime back, and I'm sorry I don't recall who it was, steered us over to a possible Gimp film he found on Amazon "The Fun Room" at the above link - viewed the film yesterday and a few observations -

1. The actresses in this run the gamut from marginally kinda sorta cute to downright hideous in physical appearance.

2. The only real skin to be found is five minutes from the end when we get the naked unbound dead body of a victim stashed in a room with several other hogtied and fully clothed victims.

3. All the performers share a common trait - they have the personality and screen presence of a cigar store Indian - so I guess they can't be blamed for the "wooden" performances.

4. The shooting location for "The Fun Room" appears to be someone's unfurnished apartment up for lease with no takers - not the most diabolical of settings.

5. The main damsel is bound face up on a table with her legs dangling over the edge - the villain has a large saute pan filled with some flammable substance directly under her feet - he drops in a match and the flames begin to char her tender flesh - and how do they pull off this cinematic illusion you ask - why, they revert to that old standard of FX - they coat her tootsies with what appears to be a mixture of Quaker Oatmeal and cranberry juice - certainly had me convinced - and by the way she is still able to walk.

6. Another victim is tied face down on the table and the villain, believing himself to be the modern day incarnation of Vlad the Impaler, somehow manages to manually twist a piece of blunt ended steel rebar up her rear, all the way through so it emerges from her shoulder without killing her instantly - I assume he was so skilled he missed all vital organs, bone, veins and arteries on the way through.

So what we have here is yet another example of a wannabe film maker whose heart is in the right place but simply cannot translate that vision into anything Gimp worthy.

Somewhere in the dark recesses of my mind, and there are plenty of them, I think I'm hearing the musical stylings of The Doors - "This is the end dun dun dun dun....my only friend the end dun dun dun - the run of bad Gimp cinema continues.

As a guy who sometimes writes them myself, I know it's not an easy task to go through a film and give your perspective on it, not to mention to go the extra step and add vidcaps on top of that. It took me a couple days to do the last Christina Lindberg review so I know you've pored several hours of your free time to entertain the forum. All those hours, and all we ask is someone to take 2 minutes to post and say they appreciated the effort.

Guys, is that really too much to ask? Is it? Do you go to restaurants and stiff the waitresses, too? We're not asking for money, just a little feedback. How hard is it, really? You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Anybody going to call me wrong? No, because you know I'm not. You want this site to survive, start contributing or it goes bye-bye. I'm totally serious here. Look for this site to go the way of MovieBound, and don't expect it to come back in some other reincarnation like that site did. Sindy Sin just got fed up, and now so am I. This is turning into a huge waste of my time. I'd hate to see it go, and I know a lot of you would miss it if it were gone. I know it's typical of the Internet for a few of us to carry the load while everyone else coasts along, but I'm tired of that happening here. After a dozen years, we shouldn't consistently have such a meager response.

And don't give me that tired old excuse that you can't think of anything to post about. I just checked Brian's Page, the most vanilla bondage discussion site on the net, and they got 20 posts yesterday. That's quadruple what we got. Guys, everybody here watches these movies, looks at this stuff on YouTube, reads books, or at the very least has an opinion about what they do and don't like. It doesn't have to be long, just make an effort. We have some of the sharpest, most intelligent perverts in cyberspace. The problem is, we never hear from them. I'm embarrassed that we have only 4 or 5 regulars we can count on. 1200 hits a day and an average of 4 posts? Really? That's beyond sad and creeping into the pathetic range.

Bottom line, if you want this site to survive, make the tiniest of efforts and contribute. I'm not issuing an ultimatum, I'm just telling it like it is. The rest is up to you.

I'd hate to see the site go.

You know who I miss? Lana Clarkson. I'm glad they finally convicted that bastard Phil Spector.

I also wish there could be a resurgence of the old "Sword and Sandal" B movies with lots of damsel in distress/torture scenes. Those are the best, and don't have to be as serious as the other thing I love... spy interrogation.

In the fantasy realm, you could torture a female warrior, or just the hero's girlfriend to piss him off. Lots of possibilities... Red Sonja was such a let down. Could have been so much more.

The Women in Cages Blu-Ray collection contains "The Big Doll House," "The Big Bird Cage," and "Women in Cages." Very good transfer to Blu-Ray (Yes, I bought it).

Roger Corman Cult Classics, Sword and Sorcery Collection, which includes "Deathstalker," "Deathstalker II," "Barbarian Queen," and "The Warrior and the Sorceress."

Also on Blu-Ray (available from Amazon) is "Zombie Holocaust" which is primarily notable for blonde Alexandra Delli Colli getting captured by natives, stripped and painted with flowers, before being placed naked into a giant stone table with an indentation in the shape of a human body. This movie was released in the U.S. as "Doctor Butcher, M.D."

Plenty of GIMPage in these movies, of varying types.

My group has over 6600 members and all I can guaranty is someone is going to complain about something I found because they think it is "Bull Shit" or "Political" in content. I had a few amateur or semi amateur artists that regularly support the site with free samples. I even had Mr "Posted With Permission" Trickle posting samples from bondage sites.

My biggest complaint is this format sucks. Having to remember these

things to separate a sentence so it isn't all running together.

Now that I'm on a rant why is it I usually only see a post from you when your promoting GIMP or one of your rants? I'm willing to bet if I check out my site you are or were thinking of posting a link to GIMP on it.

Sloth: Thanks for the detailed heads-up on The Fun Room. I think that with the addition of a grade, that would qualify as a review.

To me, the value of your site is educational. That may sound strange, but being outcasts from polite society, it's difficult to get a good education on GIMPage. I only discovered that I had this kink about 5 years ago and I spent 2 more years hiding it and in denial.

Once I stumbled upon this site, I learned many things that your rather astute contributors and yourself have taught me in leading this alternate lifestyle. For one, I now longer steal free things online. Thank you Ralphus. I've even applied this to music downloads which I used to get regularly from Napster. No more. I read your arguments and learned. I still can't afford a lot of movies, but I'm saving and hoping that my fledgling business takes off.

I married a man who is willing to indulge my kink and I'll admit to checking out your site daily for new ideas and things from the days before I was even a twinkle in my father's eye. So, you're educating a whole new generation of GIMPers who don't have the advantage of your history and that to me, is a public service that isn't to be taken lightly.

I imagine that a person runs a site like this to find like minded people to share his fantasies. And if that's all your in it for, then you've done well to find the 6 or so regulars. But I argue that there's a greater purpose which I hope you embrace, and you continue to show us younger GIMPers the rich history of GIMP movies which have been so oppressed by our ridiculous society.

Thawkinsworth - I understand your missing those types of flicks as they could always be counted on to deliver at least one decent Gimp moment - as for me I miss the "mad scientist" genre - several nubile damsels abducted and ending up partially clothed strapped to a gurney in the lab awaiting the torment of some heinous medical experiment that usually ended badly for her - probably has far more to do with a certain nostalgia factor than the quality of the movie.

Ralphus - you know, I like to think I understand the frustration of running such a site but I probably don't - I believe this has been mentioned before but perhaps it bears repeating - research always shows the same pattern with radio talk shows - less than one percent of the listeners ever call in and only a tiny fraction of that is ever on the air - by that standard this humble forum doesn't do badly.

It seems to me that whatever faults it may have this forum has a loyal, dedicated cadre who provide insightful and often opinionated information on all things Gimp worthy - okay, so one wanders to Brian's Page and there are more posts - more vanilla bondage posts - that seems to be the Bondage Dave/Hobro crowd - more whining, griping trolls looking for something to be offended by so they can display their moral supremacy over everyone else - give me one good Gimp post over 22 vanilla posts everyday of the week.

Keep in mind Sloth Business Principle #6 - regular customers pay the overhead and the walk in trade provides the profit.

The GIMP has been an incredible resource for Red Feline, and for me personally in so many ways. A way for us to interact with the public, and learn. It makes me feel like so much less of a freak. Or at least like there's strength in numbers baby!

I appreciate the GIMP and everyone who reads it, whether they post or not. Maleficarum would most likely not have happened if not for Ralphus and this site. We're a small business, and we've had to make a lot of sacrifices along the way, but we've been able to increase our numbers and continue doing what we're doing in part because of the GIMP. And we love what we do.

When I found this site, I lurked for a long time before I finally emailed Ralphus asking his permission to post. I was pretty shy about actually writing something in public that others might read and comment on. Yes, I realize how stupid that may sound because I act in and direct movies. But it's different when you interact with people, read their opinions, critiques, etc. What can I say, I'm a sensitive girl. But I've learned so much here, gotten (mostly) over my shyness, seen a lot of cool movies based on a head's up or reviews, and feel like there's a place I belong... chained up in a dark basement of course. ;)

That's not true. In this place, a question is as good as an answer. Even long-time GIMPers can be surprised to learn about a great film that had slipped past their notice. Sometimes, you only learn about the films because someone asked a question about a particular fetish.

Also, while the reviews section is comprehensive, it isn't organized according to the rankings that films received (not a criticism, just a statement of fact). Thus, to find some of the best movies, you have to go hunting through the reviews, which can sometimes be a long read (thanks to John Galt, myself and others). Here's hoping the "Straw Dogs" remake is good. But not holding my breath. I mean, what are the odds that we will get a good rape scene in a mainstream movie nowadays?

Just saw the new "Conan" movie. An enjoyable movie, not much gimpage. The main actress gets tied to this big "wheel" and here chest is cut with a knife to make her bleed. But she was fully clothed so that just blew the whole scene in my opinion.

You say that you don't have an "all region" dvd player. Do you have a laptop with a DVD player? I live in Germany right now, and I discovered that laptops and computers (I think) will play all DVDs. At least I know that mine will play both PAL and NTSC formats. So you may be able to play a japanese DVD on your laptop or computer.

I wonder if that's generally true? If so, that might open up some possibilities regarding some GIMP films.

It's great that you find the site educational. Yes, it is more than a place to share fantasies - it's a wellspring of information, insight and even arcane trivia. It's also a place to share a laugh or two.

This site is so much better when we can get a nice mix of perspectives, just like what happened today. It's a lot to cover, but that's a nice problem to have. Let me address some of the posts today.

Thawkinsworth: We don't see you here too often, but when you do post, it's always something worthwhile. VHS seems so antiquated anymore, but yeah, most of my GIMP collection is on VHS. I'm slowly upgrading some of my favorite movies, like the ZFX classics, for instance, to DVD. Netflix has helped in upgrading some of the best GIMP-worthy scenes, but many, such as the raped while tied to the fence scene from Dark Tide, are sadly not on DVD. I'm pretty sure the Glory Days site that John Galt linked for that movie is likely a bootleg site. For that reason, I'm glad I'm old enough to have enjoyed some of these movies from the VHS era because most today's generation hasn't seen them.

John Galt: I'm a day late getting to this (I was too busy bitching last night to comment) but thanks for the comprehensive review of the aforementioned Brigitte Bako film. Brigitte Bako is a Hall of Famer in my mind for the one-two punch of this film and Strange Days, both very rough mainstream films where she plays an excellent victim. Most actresses don't have even one film like this on their resume. I keep hoping for a trifecta, but it's getting a bit late for her.
