Big money will probably never fund anything but mainstream pablum. That is not to say you couldn't push their boundaries and maybe get away with more than they would have initially allowed. However, you still would be worlds away from approaching the boundaries we would like to see pushed. You might want to ask yourself if there is an audience for what you are trying to do.

Personally, I can visualize an hour and a half of nudity, torture, and sex that is engaging, watchable and entertaining. I am having a problem visualizing an hour and a half of psychological mind fucking that would hold my attention. Deconstructing the Stockholm Syndrome--even in the nude--might be someone's idea of a stimulating pastime, but not mine. From a film-making point of view, it is always problematic portraying what is going on inside characters' heads without a surfeit of tedious exposition or long thoughtful silences with meaningful expressions. Agonized screams as a result of physical violence pretty much speaks for itself.

My advice? Take the money and run with it. Maybe you'll manage to get in one good, brief scene that will end up on forum members' highlight compilations.

Not that I blame you. If the Colleen Stan story has created an opportunity for you to go mainstream, you gotta take it. It does make me wonder, though, why you posted your question on this forum, knowing the conservative (by our standards) restrictions you face from your new masters.

I'm also not sure I understand the suits' concerns. These obviously aren't the guys who produced the Hostel movies, The Girl Next Door, or any of the so-called torture porn flicks. I think your corporate masters are violating their own prime directive -- make money -- by going soft on the Colleen Stan story.

Badger: God I loved the Ginger movies. I only ever saw them on video, though. If they made the drive-in circuit, it was after I stopped going. But don't forget the Ilsa movies. There was money behind those as well. Maybe not much, but they still made the drive-in scene and should be considered mainstream.

I disagree about Rob Zombie, though. I have seen no evidence that he could pull off the kind of movie for which I am waiting. He might be good at graphic torture porn, but nudity and sexual violence don't seem to be his forte. It would be great for him to prove me wrong, though.

Some people love Red Feline on the Cross, some people hate it, and others have more of a median response. Mostly all for the exact same reasons. Some like gore, others don't. You can't please everyone all of the time.

Ralphus - That's nice of you. Just so you know, we are going to have some gruesome parts in the Agent, near the end. I die at the end of the movie. We are incorporating more elements this time that we usually don't have in our movies such as strangulation, electro-torture, etc.

We will never make movies with floodlights like some of you have come to expect from other production studios. After RFOC and The Inquisition, we made a big effort to do a really nice job with lighting. Mainly because we were able to make an investment in professional lights.

I wonder if you've had the chance to see Dancing at the Blue Iguana, which displayed both the psychological and physical aspects (titties) of stripping. This was an amazing feat...getting stars like Daryl Hannah, Jennifer Tilly and Charlotte Ayana, among others, to get beautifully naked on stage. No GIMP scenes that I recall, however.

Badger: I still love the Ginger movies. Like John Galt, I first discovered them on DVD -- not that many years ago, in my case. They may not be as explicit as some people would like but I find they work just fine.

One of my favs is the ZFX classic 'Highly Strung'. I think it is underrated and it has great quality. Just the first part in the mine -- the rest is questionable, and this may explain why the film not rated as highly as other ZFX vids.

It is 7 years old but it would be great to see pics from it again. I hope I am not in a minority of one!

Ginger Flicks: In a class by themselves. Especially The Abductors. I think, right offhand, that the bondage sex scene where a tied-up Ginger is fucked is the longest, best-filmed, best-lit, most-satisfying bondage rape scene I have ever seen in a mainstream movie. And that Jennifer Brooks (AKA Laurie Rose) was also hot. Cheri Caffaro was slutty hot. Jennifer Brooks was girl-next-door hot. Plus, there was GIMP. *sigh* They just don't make movies like that any more.

I am more a fan of bondage sex or sexual torture than straightforward blood-and-suffering torture, though, so I need to select carefully so as not to be disappointed and communicate that in the inevitable follow-up forum review.

Well, to my delight, there just happened to be 2 offering at Nicheclips the past 2 days, so I thought I'd give a go at a couple of mini reviews.

First off, Where's Brittney ($11.00 / almost 14 minutes) at the Bella Morte store (BTW, they offer DVDs. See URL). Brittney played by a hot looking blonde with big natural big tits, has been missing for 4 days. This is where the clips starts.

Brittney is tied to a post in the cellar as her kidnapper comes in and turns on the lights waking her. He reads to her part of a news story about her disappearance then gets up and leaves. He however drops his knife as Brittney tried to retrieve it with her foot after he's left the room. He later comes back and starts yelling at her about how the hell did she get the knife. Then unties her and as she starts to scramble for the door he strangles her to unconsciousness.

Next scene she's hanging upside down with her hands tied behind her back and forced to perform oral (simulated). After finishing he pulls a plastic bag over her head and duct tapes it over her, where she ends up suffocating to death after a lengthy struggle.

Pros

Hot looking babe: A+
Good acting from victim: A
Originality (not having seen similar) w/good long stretches of bagging: A

Cons

Terrible acting from villain (couldn't act his way out of a paper bag: D

Overall grade B on the strength of actress and bagging segments alone.

Next up, Double Raped & Bagged ($22.00 / 31+ minutes) (DVDs available, see http://www.4uclips.com/ShowDetailClip.aspx?ClipId=844) from Psycho-Thrillers.

I had high expectations for this one as I am familiar with what Psycho Thrillers can do.

This one stars off on the street with a bus stop pick-up of the victim. As I'm watching this, I'm thinking this really looks like mainstream movie other than some audio problems at the bus stop scene. The victim is a nice looking blonde with fantastic natural tits and a nice tan line to go with 'em. Her head gets bashed against the dashboard of an SUV as she gets handcuffed and taken to the two perps house. There they strip her and take turns raping her before bagging her to death.

The sex is real but the performance is average at best, although she does scream a few times (and really scream!), by the end of the first rape it sounds more like consensual moaning than anything else (she's ungagged by then). Then it goes downhill fast. There is no interaction between villains as the one waiting his turn just sits in the background watching (unlike the excellent interaction from "The Good Murders" that I mentioned before in an earlier post).

And then downhill fast. They un-cuff her and tie her wrists to her ankles but the ties are so loose she can easily reach up and pull the bag away when they start to bag her. It is so poorly done in fact that she kinda reminds me of a marionette in as much effort she puts into freeing herself. In fact she spends most of the bagging with one arm draped across the leg of one perp. and the other arm on the leg of the other perp. (inches from the bag and doesn't attempt to pull it off).

I've grown to expect a lot from P.T. but this one, after a very promising start, was horrible.

Pros

Hot blonde w/ great body: B+

Don't waste your time on this one (see "Death in the Family" from P.T. instead. Super hot model looking trophy wife target of hit - no bondage though).

If they're going to go the TV movie route, like they did with the Christopher Wilder story in Easy Prey, that's one thing. That film was sanitized all to hell, but it's also what you'd expect from a movie made for TV. But if they're allowing nudity and then stipulating they don't want any extreme action, I'm with John Galt on this one...I don't understand what audience they're going after.

If they just want a carbon copy of Breaking Her Will with a higher budget, it will surely be a disaster. The problem with that film wasn't the budget. It was the leaden acting of the lead villain, coupled with the fact that the victim was barely allowed to give a performance we cared about (mostly as a result of having her needlessly blindfolded for almost the entire movie). Not to mention the sophomoric script, the clueless direction and because the potentially "good" scenes were deliberately filmed in such a way that took away any kind of drama or prurient thrills for the viewer.

What exactly have they told you is forbidden to show in the story? Colleen Stan was kept tied up naked, blindfolded, gagged, suspended, whipped, burned, tortured with electricity and forced to service her attacker sexually. What specifically have you been told is off-limits? If you're going to be forced instead to make a film that explores her psychological aspects, it's going to be awfully hard to identify with her if we aren't allowed to see what she's going through.

Deno: Hey, good to see you here again. Actually, the correct title for the ZFX film is High Strung. it was a good one, at least the first half with chesty babe Brandi Dukes. I have several older vidcaps that Hank Hobbs made years ago. They are not up the quality standards that he produces now, but they are still nice to look at. I'll write Hank and see if he has time to do updated versions, and if not I'll start running some of his older ones in the near future.

I can't say that either movie appeals to me. While Where's Britney received a decent rating, the action in that one doesn't really do it for me, except for the part where Britney is hanging upsidedown. I think I'll give both movies a miss.

Disclaimer about the one of the reviews I wrote on "Where's Brittney". There are quite a few flaws but graded it a "B" like I said, for the actress and the bagging.

It really is hard to do a good bagging...basically that's why you never see one...outside of Hollywood. And then it's only in brief, cut segments.

The bagging you usually see are lamely done by using a stiff bag (with all kinds of air), done with loose ties ( or no ties) and the actress just never thinks to rip the bag off, or open at the bottom.

I've seen an amateur video where the girl is holding her hands above her head (pretending that they are tied to the headboard) and freaks after about only 5 or 10 seconds as the bag starts collapsing around her face, so she pulls her hands down to lift up the bag up (like I said, an amateur video so no editing).

So my grade was probably generous knowing how hard it is to do a bagging. Plus hanging upside down and tied at that. So keep that in mind and know that going in. It is far from perfect but it's the best attempt I've seen so far (that I know about).

So for those reasons I stand with a "B" grade.

I don't know if my reviews will get bigger of not. But as far as size goes...remember, it's not the size of your pencil, it's how you write your name. ;-)

John Galt: The phrase "girl-next-door hot" that you used to aptly define Jennifer Brooks also nicely describes my general preference for GIMPs.

Sativa's picture is fantastic, is there more?

It is a nice picture, isn't it? The timing was perfect, since we've been talking about Zebub and also been on a "tied to the railroad tracks" theme in the past few daily pictures. I don't know if you remember, but Sativa Verte was Bill's original choice to play the lead in Breaking Her Will a few years ago (which started the enormous debate about whether he should cover up her face with a mask).

Anyway, he told me about her via instant message at the time so I looked her up and discovered that photo. She definitely has the sexy girl next door thing going for her. Plus that, she's also not shy about showing off her naked body on camera. I'll give Zebub credit, he does find some beautiful women to work with him. The train track photo was probably a one-time thing. She's in Zebub's new Ravage the Scream Queen film so maybe he tied her up there. She's also done some bondage video work on her Clips4Sale page, one of which has her tied naked to a tree and ballgagged.

I was curious about something. If it were just me or if others felt the same way. I think bondage scenes are OK when there are more than one girl in the frame. I don't care for it however when the girls are tied together. Or even worse for me, if they are intertwined and tied together. To me it's kinda a waste of time and defeats the purpose.

There are some things that I do not think the medium of film can adequately explore, and attempts to do so generally fail dismally. Probably why I am not a big fan of French movies. But film is an exceptional medium for nudity, sex and bondage. Truly exceptional.

Regarding your question about two babes tied together: I can think of one instance where it worked very well. In a flick that I believe was called Escape from Hell (somebody correct me if I'm mistaken about the title), there is a scene where two women in a jungle prison camp are tied together to a suspended wooden beam, face to face, while simultaneously being whipped. If one girl turned her body away from the whipping, she would turn her companion toward it. Quite a dilemma, eh?

Well, boys and girls, my GIMP review of Reincarnation of Isabel is finally finished and posted below. I hope it's not too tedious to read, but this is a very confusing movie and I wanted to preserve enough detail to allow comparisons with Black Magic Rites, the 2008 re-issue, without getting too bogged down in the meandering plot.

GIMP Movie Review

Reincarnation of Isabel (1972)

This is a bizarre, nearly unfathomable piece of Euro-horror with many WTF moments, but, fortunately, some interesting GIMP scenes too. No use trying to explain the whole plot but here are the important elements in one sentence: Red-robed Satan-worshippers in castle basement seek five virgins for sacrificial rites aimed at restoring life to the preserved body of Isabel, who was burned at the stake 500 years ago, accused of being a witch and fucking a vampire.

The opening scene gets right to the first victim, a pretty blond in red mini-skirt and over-the-knee black boots. The red-robes grab her, lay her face-up on a raised stone slab and chain her in spread-eagle position to the floor. They open her blouse, revealing perky natural breasts. As the rituals begin, the ashen, naked body of Isabel (Rita Calderoni), with a hole in her chest, looms above them, mounted on the wall in the manner of a crucifixion. They tear the girl's heart out and drink her blood. I liked the way they opened her blouse completely, revealing the entire torso, and that they made the chains just loose enough to allow some squirming and thrashing about.

The second victim is a dark-haired, mini-skirted girl who is cursorily attacked by an unseen "vampire". Not much GIMP interest here.

An opportunity for more victims arises when Laureen (Calderoni again) arrives at the castle with friends and family and the new part-owner of the castle (Mickey Hargitay) for an engagement party. (Several key characters in the party scene are reincarnations of figures in the witch-burning scene, so the main cast members play dual roles).

In a flashback to the same night five centuries ago, Isabel is tied AOH to a stake as a crowd jeers and condemns her. Her robe is ripped open to the navel, revealing perfectly-formed natural breasts, and her tormenters paint a red cross on her sternum. They pound a wooden stake into the site of the mark, she screams and gasps, and close-ups show her breasts and her face glistening with moisture. The fire is lit and we get a great full body shot as Isabel struggles to free herself. This is a long scene, intercut with glimpses of the engagement party. Strangely, just as the flames leap higher and Isabella is about to be overcome, Mickey Hargitay and another man race to pluck her body from the fire, but all three suddenly disappear in the smoke. Weird. A great scene up to that point, though, with building tension and a convincing performance by Calderoni.

Back in the present, brunette Christa leaves the party and goes to her room. She is suddenly grabbed by an unseen figure behind her, who covers her mouth with his hand. As his other hand opens her dress and fondles the front of her body, she at first resists, but then apparently falls under some sort of spell and starts to enjoy it. It's a hallucination, and when she snaps out of it, she is alone and fully dressed, but has vampire marks on her neck. Interesting scene with a throbbing bass track and the unseen assailant's POV from above and behind Christa's right shoulder. It combines non-consensual and consensual elements.

Later, now-vampire Christa lures red-haired Lenda into the basement for some lesbian sex and neck-biting. Suddenly, Christa disappears and the naked Lenda is alone with wrists chained to the floor below Isabel's corpse, a captive of the red-robes. One of them grabs her hair and pulls her head back, and as she pleads for mercy and the perspiration on her breasts reflects the light of the sacrificial fire, he thrusts the knife toward her chest. The scene cuts to the nude lifeless body of Christa, being discovered by Laureen. (Christa is actually undead, but I won't get into that).

That night, Laureen finds herself trapped inside a metal cage in the basement, nearly naked except for a loose-fitting blanket. The cage has knife-like projections that slowly move toward her. Through some mystical intervention, she escapes certain death with just a cut on her clavicle and collapses on the basement stairs, her right breast spilling out of her covering as she stares upward toward the light. (Lord she is beautiful)

Meanwhile, blond Viveca and ditzy virgin Stephy engage in a threesome with a guy, thus disqualifying them as potential sacrifice victims.

The appointed hour for the reincarnation draws near, and more virgins are needed, so the red-robes (vampires?) in the guise of some of the male castle guests (my guess) set upon the remaining women. Neck-biting and some nudity ensues. Two women flee wearing nothing but black cloaks, which open often, revealing lotsa skin as they run. The villagers mistake them for witches and pursue them. In an unusual scene, male villagers use branches as pitchforks and pin the two women to the ground (exposing their upper bodies in the process, naturally). The two women thrash about wildly (and entertainingly), but then they are ordered to cross over a fiery threshold to prove they are not witches.

They pass through, only to find themselves dragged back to the castle basement (don't ask). There they, and another woman, are chained to various wooden structures, now clad only in red sashes that cover little or nothing. What follows is a lengthy, bizarre sequence in which we see the women being by turns seduced, drugged with some kind of incense, or menaced with a kind of weird curved double-pitchfork type implement that fits over their faces (?). By now it's clear that the film-makers, who have probably been ingesting illegal substances, are making it up on the fly. The last 10 minutes of the movie are even more incomprehensible than what has already transpired. But there are no more GIMP scenes, so I'll leave it there.

Movie plusses: Lovely Rita Calderoni - she really sells it. Several other fairly attractive actresses, all with terrific bodies putting in energetic (if not always decipherable) performances. Occasionally cool 60's music. GIMP scenes with an abundance of nudity and eerie, menacing settings. In the GIMP scenes, one might say that each victim is more or less draped, rather than clothed, like figures in classical paintings or sculptures.

Movie minuses: Disjointed directing, writing, editing and continuity. Annoying Stephy, the addled ex-virgin. Trippy, arty imagery and frequent cutting back and forth between scenes (makes it hard to use the FF).

Movie grade: C. This is really tough to sit through, but you never know what's going to happen next and who's going to get naked. A true relic of that era.

GIMP grade: B. Especially for the first sacrifice and the witch-burning, but also for making sure that each GIMP scene includes at least partial nudity. Good compilation material here.

Note: This review is for the 1998 DVD version, in the original Italian with English subtitles. My DVD has a completely unrelated, 10-minute prelude by Redemption Films. It's listed as Chapter 1 on the DVD. It features vampires, Nazis, nudity, lesbians, fake blood, fake fangs and real snakes. If you are offended by any of these things, skip ahead to Chapter 2, which is the actual start of the movie.

I have to admit, I'm left with torn feelings about this movie. Similar to my response about another recently reviewed film, I can't determine whether Reincarnation of Isabel has much erotic potential. It certainly has its share of GIMP moments but at this point I'm not feeling like I really need to see any of them. Maybe I'll wait to see the feedback from others who have seen the film.

What's your opinion of two girls tied up at the same time, either tied together or separately?

This is one we've never had before, to my knowledge. I know there are several videos out there that feature multiple damsels all tied up at the same time. Seemingly everyone does it. Gord did it in one of his movies, for instance, like in this example below:

As far as women tied together (usually back to back)...I dunno, I guess I don't really trust a tie like that. I've seen too many movies where one of the victims manages to untie the other's hands and escape. But it all goes down to my preference for one woman at a time. I never fantasize about multiple victims. I can imagine kidnapping a girl and doing bad things to her, but when you throw in more than one girl into the mix, that's kind of stretching things a bit. I guess you could say I'm monogamous when it comes to my bondage fantasies.

And if I were lucky enough to have 2 or more women at my disposal, I would keep them in separate rooms or at least far enough apart that one couldn't help the other escape. Twice the victims is potentially twice the trouble.

Of course, these types of films go by so many titles and have so many different edits and re-edits that, for all I know, both those scenes could be in the same movie.

I'm for it, in general. Having one girl watch the other's pain, and knowing she's going to get the same, or worse, is great fun. If they're friends or sisters, all the better. And you can't do forced lesbian without two girls.

One thing I've seen tried, but not done well is two girls with garrotes around their necks, such that any movement by one strangles the other -- and they end up killing each other. I think that's going to have to stay a fantasy for a while.

If the two girls are tied identically I don´t see the point, for me it isn't "The more (of the same) the better". Nevertheless I do enjoy well done scenes where two girls are tied up at the same time but differently, and where it is impossible for one of them to help the other. I enclose a link to an enjoyable sample of that situation.

Another scene could be that a girl is invited to take advantage of an already tied up girl and torture her as she like, but then the invited girl gets tied up too and the tortured girl is released and surprisingly given opportunity to get even. The invited and now tied up girl will be sorry for what she did...

About Ralphus´s alternative to "keep them in separate rooms", that can also be interesting. One girl hears that something is happening to the other girl, but can only guess what and hope that she will not get the same treatment (which of course she will).

Altogether, done the right way it can be more fun with multiple victims!

If the torture is done right, I'm OK with the idea of two women tied together. It seems to me there was a good clip on YouTied last year where two women were tied together and were about to be whipped, and each woman tried to position things so the other one would get whipped.

I imagine you could do some interesting stuff if you had two women tied together in an upsidedown situation but I don't think I've ever seen anything like that.

Killer Inside Me update: Here's the latest on The Killer Inside Me, the low-budget film shot in Oklahoma with Jessica Alba that may have some GIMP potential. Apparently, Jessica was recently discussing her upcoming films on MySpace and said, "I am really trying to push myself beyond my comfort zone."

These are in the fluxdvd format, that means that when you download to own you are downloading a DVD with original DVD quality that plays on your computer forever and you can burn it to a DVD-R and watch it in your dvd player, without having to convert it. This is why you have to choose NTSC or PAL based on your location; unless you have a multi-system dvd player, only one will work for you.

In September we will be adding a function to the VOD store that will choose this for you based on you location. I'll give a shout when that's in place. For now, you have to choose between NTSC and PAL on your own.

I am pleased to hear about New Slave Island 7. I don't think I'm familiar with Rion Nagasawa but I have seen some of Yuu Takeuchi's movies and she is attractive and an excellent performer. So New Slave Island 7 sounds like it has potential.

And I agree that this month's release of New Slave Island 6 -- starring Yuna Mizumoto, Rei Aoki and Ryo Takamiya -- is definitely one to watch for. It could prove to be one of the most important releases of 2009.

It's a scene full of sexual distress - imagine their gagged moans and shrieks as the muscles in their thighs weaken and they torture each other's pussies. I scanned through his current uploads and saw a LOT of tight crotch rope ties, but I didn't see anything involving two women and crotch ropes. Still, as I said, I would be very surprised if he hadn't done it.

Dan Hawke also does a lot of HOM-reminiscent photo shoots, and the January 5, 2009 shoot with Alysis and Brianna actually has a segment very much like the one you describe. You can check it out on BestBound, although you might have to scroll up and down or move forward or backward a page over time. (You can see it in the thumbnails.) Also, the September 1, 2008 shoot and the December 10, 2007 shoot both involve two girls with connected crotch ropes, although not connected to suspended feet.

A Canadian (that make you from Canandada huh? ;-) You do know that Jessica Alba has already been in a film where she's handcuffed to a bed (with an implied rape that we never get to see...damn it Jim!). Not only that, but she gets suffocated with a dry cleaning bag. A short scene but still cool because it comes totally unexpected so there is a pretty cool panic reaction. It's called "Paranoid".

I have seen Jessica in some GIMP situations, such as the whipping scene in Sin City and some of the moments where she gets knocked around and/or zapped on Dark Angel. But I believe she is still capable of delivering one of the all-time great GIMP movies, one that will allow her to get outside of her "comfort zone" (and maybe break her streak of Razzie nominations).

Your thoughts about Asami Ogawa Tentacles movie?

Compared to the very gross Maria Ozawa SOD Tentacles movie, the Asami one look like Disney play...

That could be significant, as one of the problems I had with the Maria one was that it wasn't sexy. (By the way, I don't think we ever received any reports from the other GIMPers who said they were going to check out Maria's tentacle movie). Judging from the cover art, the Asami movie looks like it could be erotic. I will check it out when it is released.

I was surprised by the cover for New Slave Island 7 -- the movie is only 90 minutes long? That's quite a departure from the original series, when some titles clocked in at more than three hours in length. I like Yuu Takeuchi but now I'm skeptical about that movie.

I am thinking the female detective movie (RBD-164) with Yuna Mizumoto might have some potential. The pictures on the back cover certainly look intriguing and Yuna is an excellent actress.

YikYakker: My apologies for not thanking you sooner for your review of The Reincarnation of Isabel. Sometimes real life gets in the way and I barely have time to change the daily picture, let alone post to the forum. Kind of sad that in 2 days, only one person took the time to say thank you for that massive effort. Don't let that discourage you from posting more reviews, though. I'm sure several people read and enjoyed the review and appreciate the time it took to write it. I just wish more people would show it. Saying "thank you" only takes a few seconds and it's the only pay we receive for contributing to the group.

About the movie: I never sat down and watched it in one sitting, but it's a rather bizarre collage of kinky imagery filled with some gorgeous women, mostly all naked or in various states of undress, which is just the way God intended them to be. The burning at the stake scene is one of the longest scenes of its kind and it was clearly the highlight for this pyromaniac perv. Jake: I looked through my Chadscans and didn't see the HOM "two girls tied together" picture you are referring to. It's possible that Chad never scanned that one when he put together his HOM collection for the rest of cyberspace. Your description sounds particularly uncomfortable for the two victims, which is typical of HOM's work. Their stuff stands the test of time because the bondage was tight, painful and, importantly, it was mean! Those models were put in some harsh positions and you could tell they were suffering in some of those stills. When people like Dan and Sarge and others try to emulate HOM's work, they are paying homage to the true bondage pioneers.

And I'm glad you share my perspective on the performance of Rita Calderoni in The Reincarnation of Isabel. It's hard to adequately describe it in a review, but the word that you used--"stunning"--is one often encountered in write-ups about her, and is apt. And when you sometimes refer to "women as God intended them to be", I think of her as one awesome example of creation.

All that is needed now is for someone to review the 2008 re-issue, Black Magic Rites. I have a sneaking suspicion that there is more to that last scene in the castle basement than what is shown on my version. It just seemed so disjointed and cut short, even more so than the rest of the movie. Whether anything different appears on the new version is a question that must be answered for the good of mankind. ;)

The next film on my "to-be-reviewed" list is the late 1960's anti-Western Hot Spur, featuring another magnificent creation, former Playmate Virginia Gordon. It's got a few rapes and a whipping scene; even the movie's name is cool (there's a band and a soccer team by that name).

Probably won't get to that until the weekend.

Here's a scenario, say you rent Red Room. (You already downloaded the Flickrocket tools). You download the file to your computer and start watching. The file you download has all of the features and quality of a DVD. It's like you just popped a DVD into your computer.

Scenario number two: You buy a download to own of Red Room. You download the file to your computer and watch it as much as you want forever on your computer (don't worry, if something happens to your computer or system you can always download another copy). If you want to watch the movie on your DVD player, you use your Flickrocket tools to burn the movie to a DVD. You pop the DVD into your player and presto, it's just like a regular DVD! It has the menu, trailers, and the great quality of a DVD.

The advantage of the fluxdvd is that you download the full DVD in all it's glory, it's a smaller download size than a regular DVD, but you don't sacrifice quality like you do with other formats.

Let me indulge everyone's patience with one last question, just to be certain I have got everything straight.

Let's assume I have downloaded the Flickrocket tools, I rent a movie, and everything works fine using Flickrocket. Can I then assume everything will work fine using Flickrocket (assuming the burner works fine on my computer) if I follow up by downloading a movie to own. In other words, does successfully watching a rental movie on Flickrocket confirm that the other Flickrocket options will work for me?

Well I didn't really look for "Paranoid" since I already have it but it looks like Half.com lowered their shipping rates. So now you can pick up a $.75 DVD w/shipping for less than $3.00 (BTW that's how much I paid for my copy of "I Know Who Killed Me"...which I didn't like at all).

Buying more than one item from the same seller will reduce your additional shipping also. I picked up 5 DVD's for less than $15.00. Don't ruin it for me but at least one of the titles ("Perfect Witness") looks like it might have Gimp scenes in it.

Please be aware that if you rent a movie, the clock starts to run out after the first time you press "Play". I recommend waiting until you download the entire movie to your computer before you start to play it.

If there are any issues with renting a movie or downloading, Flickrocket has great customer service. They have been able to successfully solve every problem (surprisingly few have arisen) customers have had.

After Steve and Chris have gotten burned by women too many times they look to get revenge.

Trolling the streets the two spot a couple of hookers and pick one up (Keely) under the guise of being undercover policemen. As their first attempt at a kidnapping, the two villains are a little inept. Steve especially as he kinda "Well...umm...a...umm...", basically not being able to get a sentence out as he plays the cop posing as a John.

They take the hooker back to their place giving some line about being a sting-house and a Black & White would come to pick her up later, as Steve disappears for a short while. He later returns with a roll of duct tape as by then the hooker knows what's up. They take her to the bedroom where she is gagged, blindfolded, and her hands cuffed behind her back. They strip her and take turns raping her. Steve looking like a deer in headlights as Chris has first crack at her. We don't really get to see the rape as Steve goes outside. Now Steve's turn, but he's pensive, wringing his hands while waiting outside. Again, just an implied rape as the door closes behind Steve.

They now take her out of the room as Chris has Steve strangle her. Again, Steve is pretty inept in his attempt at this. The victim finally dies as Steve is pretty freaked by now, looking like he's gonna cry, as Chris keeps telling him "She's dead Steve...Steve...she's dead."

With the first hooker taken care of, they start worrying about the one they let go as they take off looking for her. They use the same ruse as the first one, the undercover cops. But this time Steve is different. He's changed as he snaps at Chris telling him to shut up. They take the next victim back and go through a similar routine. This time it looks like all Steve wants to do is strangle the girl. Steve is different, telling Chris to let go of her legs, as Chris responds "OK, OK!" He later kicks Chris asking him if he's watching. He's starting to talk to the girl by now as opposed to the first one where he's pretty much quiet as a mouse. Chris is noticing the change by now too. Steve finishes killing the girl then tells Chris "She's all yours" as he leaves the room.

In a rarity, I really like watching this video as much for the villains as for the girls. Watching the metamorphosis of Steve is interesting as he eventually takes the lead (in part II) and Chris becomes pensive of Steve.

Keely has a really nice, tight body and does a good job of acting. Dialog is believable.

I didn't like the fact that Roxxy had her hands cuffed in front of her as this becomes a problem with 3 of the remaining 4 victims in parts II and III and can only recommend part II (which is the best of the 3).

Overall grade: B+ for the acting of the 2 villains and for Keely's Segment.

I don't know that I'm keen on The Good Murders. Somehow, a film that fully depicts death by strangulation but has rapes take place off-camera seems a little misguided, in my humble opinion. Maybe I'm just old-fashioned.

It's off topic ("not again," sighs the weary moderator) but I was sorry to hear about the death of John Hughes. Naturally, he'll be best remembered for his '80s teen movies but I was most fond of his articles for the National Lampoon in the late 1970s, such as his piece, "Sexual harassment: How to do it."

POLL QUESTION: Although I'm somewhat indifferent on having more than one vic, I would lean more toward than against. I agree with some of the other responses I have read. If I had two or more to torment, I would tie them separately so they could watch the proceedings. I have always been fond of the idea of keeping them in separate rooms so that one could hear what was going on and let the anticipation build. And if they are mother-daughter or sisters, all the better.

As for the daily pic, they DO need to lose the shoes!

Wanting to leave the hookers behind, Chris and Steve now set their sites on a college student in the park. Steve is in charge completely by now as he instructs Chris to go get her. Chris gets the girl to come back to their residence under the guise of offering a job and that the interview will take place at the house because the office is way across town.

At the house she gets chloroformed and taken to the bedroom where she gets raped (simulated) by both. Where as Steve started out quiet in the beginning of the part I, you now can't shut him up as he chatters constantly, berating the victims during the rape and stranglings. There is even a part where he taunts Kala as he strangles her by asking her "You think you're stronger than me? You think you can hold out longer than me?" Then answers his own questions by almost singingly, but definitely taunting "I can hold out longer than you can."

Kala is attractive and does a good job acting but this is one of the aforementioned (in the review of TGM part I) situations where she has her hands cuffed in front of her. Despite this, this was pulled off fairly well by Kala's performance, and with a few extra touches like spit hanging down from her mouth.

Up next is Lexi. Steve brings her by the house pretending to want to help with a church fundraiser. As Lexi is jotting down ideas, Chris comes behind her and chloroforms her. When you first see Lexi your first impression is that of just cute, but she just blossoms as the role goes on.

In the bedroom the two villains strip the unconscious Lexi. As Steve starts to play with Lexi's hair by pulling it back, you start to see what a beautiful girl this really is. Chris and Steve talk about trying something new (electro-torture) as Lexi comes to and makes a break for it. The two catch her in the kitchen where they beat and rape her, then drag her back to the bedroom by her ankles (nice visual as her white skin slides along the dark hardwood floor).

Back in the bedroom now she's tied spread eagle as they administer the electro-torture. This is followed by Chris strangling her as she gets verbally berated by Steve. To show the shift in dominance between Steve and Chris, Steve gets mad at Chris by telling him to get out of there (strangling Lexi) after Chris tells him "I don't think I can finish this." As they switch places Chris is all, "You can't be mad...You can't be mad, You can't be mad." With Steve now strangling Lexi, Chris starts to eat her pussy. He later starts to rape her a second time as Steve tells him, "You know you're fucking a dead girl" Chris now comes all over her stomach as Steve later leaves telling Chris to clean up. Chris chooses to eat Lexi's pussy instead. Rape is simulated but the pussy eating is real along with the cum shots (Chris jerked off on Kala as she was getting strangled).

Lexi's performance is amazing! One of the best efforts I've ever seen. Plus she's ungagged through all of this except where they put a piece of wood in her mouth to keep her from biting her tongue during the electro. She has some nice bruising on her body (not overdone) and slight smudging of her mascara towards the end (as a tear runs down the side of her face towards the end of the strangling). Plus this girl is freakin' hot!!!! (I love this girl!) Chris' comment says it all as soon as Steve pulled her bra off, "Oh My!"

My Grade: A- for the good performances of Kala, Chris, and Steve. Plus the outstanding performance by Lexi, and not to mention, being smokin' hot!

No review of part III because, as great as Lexi's performance was in this one, Raven Alexis' was that horrible in part III. One of the worst I've ever seen. Raven's part is the only one with actual penetration but unless you are a glutton for punishment, I'd pass on part III.

GIMP Movie Review

Hot Spur (1968)

Two ranch hands walk into the tiniest bar in the West. The busty serving senorita wears a midriff-baring sleeveless blouse tied in front, and a long red skirt. The cowpokes strongly suggest that she dance for them, which she does very nicely. Suitably turned on, they grab her, grope her and tear her top open, revealing round, full breasts. They wrestle her to the floor and pull up her skirt, showing her bare ass. As one holds her down and the second one mounts her, she screams and tries to fight them off. The guitar player and bartender do nothing, but Carlos, who is outside tending the horses, rushes into the bar. The cowpoke on top of the girl slaps her hard twice in the face. Carlos flashes back to a similar scene involving the rape of his sister. We briefly see the sister pinned to the ground with her top completely open and showing a nice set.

Back in the present, Carlos intervenes, but gets his ass kicked. Meanwhile the wench has gotten up off the floor, but one of the men pushes her back against, the bar, leans her over backwards with her chest fully exposed, and threatens her with a broken bottle. Rats! In comes the ranch boss and stops the action. "That's enough!" Well, I didn't think so. But that's not the last we see of the sister-rape scene. Carlos recognizes the boss as one of the culpable parties.

Later, back at the ranch, there is a lengthy orgy scene involving several fine-looking, naked working girls and the ranch crew. Fun, but nothing non-consensual. While this is going on, the boss is having an argument with his voluptuous but haughty wife Susan (Virginia Gordon). Angered, the husband slaps Susan, she spits in his face and he rips the entire front of her dress open. Wow...what a body this woman has! The dress is barely hanging on her shoulders, with everything from her clavicle to her fur exposed. The husband then pushes her backward onto the bed, and gets on top of her for, presumably, some spousal sex, which we don't get to see as the scene fades out. Meanwhile, Carlos is having another flashback. His topless sister, wrists tied together with rope, is being towed (stumbling forward on her feet) across a grassy field by a group of men. They tie the end of the rope to a tree branch, start taking her remaining clothes off and then pull her to the ground.

Next day, vengeful Carlos abducts Susan while she is out riding in the hills. He takes her horse but when she flees on foot, he gives chase, wrestles her to the ground, and as she struggles, tears at her clothes, pulling her blouse below her chest and shoulders. He finally slugs her, ties her wrists together (in front, what a bozo), and takes her to a shack near an abandoned mine. But once there, he puts Susan in a hog-tie and goes out to set traps for the men he knows the boss will send out after him. While Carlos is gone, Susan squirms and struggles to free herself, but Carlos returns just in time to stop her from cutting the ropes on a knife she's found. He tells her if she shuts her mouth she won't get hurt, but does she listen to him? No...she should have gagged her right away.

As she rattles on, pleading for Carlos to release her and talking about how she has nothing against Mexicans, yada yada yada, his mind drifts back to the rape of his sister. We see her (very beautiful and topless) tied AOH to the limb of a tree while the camera slowly zooms in on her face and upper body. This is apparently the POV of Susan's husband. A little bit of struggling would have been nice here, but they do have a shotgun pointed at the girl. And we learn that little Carlos witnessed the whole affair. Back in the present, Carlos becomes increasingly annoyed (as do we) with Susan's non-stop speech until finally he grabs a knife, sits on top of her, furiously cuts away at her blouse and tears it off her. That puts an end to the chatter.

After a short digression to scenes of the boss's men closing in, we're back at the cabin where Carlos quickly removes the rest of Susan's clothes. He then re-enacts the gang rape of his sister, repeating her attacker's statements as he rapes Susan. This is a very intense scene. Afterwards, he tells Susan that his sister later committed suicide, and that he has killed all of her assailants except Susan's husband. He leaves Susan crying on the floor, confused, naked and still hogtied.

As the boss' men approach the cabin, we see Susan cleave-gagged (finally) and tied AOH to the ceiling. The men starting shooting holes in the cabin, and Carlos wants to make sure they know Susan's still alive in there, so he whips her several times, causing her to scream (through her gag). We get several looks at her legs, butt and back with bloody marks, and with each stroke her body sways. Quite a few frontal views as well. One flaw in the scene is that we briefly see her knees bending while her feet are touching the floor, so we know that the suspension is not as tight as it looks.

The rest of the movie is a basic Western shoot-'em-up, with a few more glimpses of Virginia Gordon in a partially nude state, and a surprise ending, but no more GIMP scenes.

Movie plusses: Beautiful women, lots of nudity and partial nudity, decent rope-tying, clothes-ripping and whipping. Interesting, intense story. And how many times do you get to see a former Playmate hog-tied?

Movie minuses: Gordon's chatter was tediously delivered; not as well done as her GIMP scenes. She should have been gagged from the beginning; but we do feel some empathy with Carlos when he finally shuts her up. The rape scene of Carlos' sister was intriguing, but the flashing back and forth between past and present diminished the impact. I understand the artistic reason for it, but it could have been better. The rape scene in the bar was interrupted. No other GIMP scenes.

Movie grade: C

GIMP grade: C+

Note: The DVD is by Something Weird Video, which means you get their standard intro (which I've grown tired of by now) and a 30-minute preview of other movies tacked on to the end. So of the 2-hour running time shown, 85 minutes is for the movie. I suspect that there may have been some editing of the sister-rape scene, based on some stills I've seen. Also, IMDb shows an original running time of 91 minutes. Another interesting fact from IMDb: In 1969, National Review listed Hot Spur as one of its Top Ten Films of the year.

I know it's not for everybody, and those looking to check it out need to know it is death fetish...but mixed w/some Gimp material.

I included the part in the review about "You know you're fucking a dead girl", as I thought it was pretty well done and an interesting visual, as Steve tilts Lexi's head towards Chris, and Chris looks at a blank slate.

I pretty much get almost all my DVD's ,CD's, and books from there now (mainstream stuff). You can get pretty new stuff there for cheap. I ordered the Jessica Biel (stripper) DVD that I read about here for a buck or two.

Heather Silk... Spread Down and Fucked (Powershotz, 2008)

This clip is part of an abduction, torment, and rape (or at least bondage sex) series. Heather has been menaced by the masked man in all of the previous clips, but he walked out of the room at the end of the last clip, leaving Heather tied to the bed.

Heather Silk is tied in a face down spread-eagle on the bed, naked save for black knee stockings and shoes, apparently asleep after having been left there by the masked man. In the case of Hot Spur, I have to say I was surprised by the relatively low grade for the GIMP scenes. Maybe this is one of those movies that sounds better than what is actually depicted but I enjoyed the descriptions of the GIMP moments in this movie. Certainly, it's easy to see how the sister flashbacks could be annoyingly brief but the abduction and rape of the Susan character sure sound exciting.

Weird aside: Does anyone else think it would have been a better movie if it had turned out Carlos never actually had a sister and his flashbacks were simply the product of a twisted imagination?

LTL: Thanks for two great reviews. Obviously, you really liked The Good Murders. One comment you made about the first part was that you liked the video as much for the villains as for the girls. I've always contended that the villain is almost as important to a bondage-type movie as the victim. Obviously, you've got to start with an attractive girl, but if you've got a bad guy who doesn't know what to do or to how to give a convincing performance, it's not going to be nearly as effective. The best films (or scenes) usually have a real interaction between victim and villain that rings true. Gloating or laughing by the bad guy, combined with crying or screaming by the victim is what makes scenes work.

I also usually put myself in the place of the bad guy when I'm watching one of these things, so in a way, he has to be a guy I'm going to relate to. So if he says stuff I would say when I'm tying up or torturing the girl, it adds to the experience.

In the case of the first part, the metamorphosis of Steve reminds me of how the one villain went from milquetoast to sadistic in one of my favorite recent mainstream films, Hostel: Part 2.

YikYakker: Once again, a very nice review. Hot Spur is one I've seen, and I would probably give a higher grade to the GIMP scenes. I agree the scenes could have more cohesive, and indeed, I had to cut out a lot of stuff to put the "good" scenes together on my highlights tape. But this movie is full of nudity and has an overall meanspiritedness that I found refreshing. Lots of rapes, including bondage rape. And that incredible full-frontal whipping scene, a real rarity for a mainstream film (see my Homepage URL). I think the scenes still stand up today, some 40 years later.

BTW, when you wrote that National Review listed Hot Spur as one of its Top Ten Films of the year, I couldn't believe it. I did some research to find out exactly what other films made the list but couldn't find the list online. Several other sources provide the same information, though. It wasn't the National Board of Review, though, it was National Review magazine. Still, makes me think they definitely had a perv making out the Top 10 list that year. Be aware that the sex in Crazy Family is consensual then necro -- there's no rape or beatings. I think that the consensual sex is hot enough that I don't mind. You might want to get one of the Penance movies instead, though -- those are right nasty films (or so they seem -- I haven't purchased them yet, but they're high on my list). Or Bondage Strangle. No sex, but a cute girl tied up and strangled (duh).

One thing I really like about John: All his descriptions are right on. If the description doesn't get your juices going, you're not going to like the film. Also, the preview is a LOT of high quality pictures -- you get a real good idea of the movie from them.

Generally, I'm an "easy grader" when it comes to mainstream flicks, knowing what they are up against. At the same time, I know that there are some "rape connoisseurs" out there who are picky about such things, and I didn't want to mislead anyone about the scene. I debated with myself about the grade, and viewed the sister rape/Gordon rape scene again (and again) :). Maybe in my old age I'm just easily distracted, but I felt the continued flashing back and forth really detracted from both scenes.

However, your comments reinforce my suspicion that the Something Weird DVD version may have less to offer than the original VHS. Perhaps we need a second opinion from another reviewer.

Speaking of edited rape scenes, we had a discussion awhile back about the Lola Falana rape scene in The Klansman. I finally got a chance to watch The Klansman on VoD. Well, of course, when I watched the movie, I found that the scene was snipped out.

The good news is that I scored a clip of the excised scene. The clip is not of good quality and it's dubbed in a foreign language (Spanish, I think). But if the scene in not already in the database, I will be glad to submit a short description.

A quick word on video quality. So far the WMV files I've downloaded (The Basement, PKF Studios, Chris' Corner) have all been of excellent quality. I can blow it up to full screen (w/o border) and is better viewing quality than my TV (which also says something about my TV ;-).

On future reviews I will try and remember to include video quality as part of that review, starting with the one below.

Review of Eyewitness Production's Rachel Sacrificed. $30.00 / 10 minutes.

I picked up this download because I've seen Rachel before, a hot brunette with huge boobs (though plastic).

The clip starts with Rachel tied spread-eagle on a table. A man comes in and pulls her top down exposing her breasts and pulls down her pantyhose. But the limp wrist doesn't even touch her...plus he only pulls the pantyhose down to above her knees. So as she's lying there, you don't even get a good pussy shot, 'cause of the pantyhose getting in the way of the camera angles.

He then gets a blow torch and heats up the tip of a soldering iron, then burns her on a few spots of her breasts and stomach. He later takes a small clamp and clamps her nose shut, then duct tapes her mouth so she suffocates.

The preview pics were so small that I really didn't realize that is what was going to happen or I would have never gotten the clip. The girl is hot but in actuality, they could have had anyone there as you hardly ever get a good look at her face. Plus fake tits may look nice, but when you're lying on your back and with the camera filming from the bottom up, it just kinda looks strange. Those things don't move and block out everything, probably even the sun if it were outside. Then, in what I found extremely irritating, was that the girl moved in the same movement pattern throughout the clip. Over and over...the same moves. They finish with some lame piano music accompaniment to close out the clip after she has suffocated.

I guess EWP has 2 download options. The standard (which this was) and the Gold (even higher priced).

So my take: Overpriced, grainy video quality, lame premise, hot girl...but it really doesn't matter as her presence is wasted here. I was totally bored.

My grade: D+ (and that's probably generous)

Thanks for the review of Rachel Sacrificed. I am not a big fan of snuff or necro themes, although I have in the past made an exception to see a specific model. More helpful was your take on the video quality. My last Eyewitness Productions experience was many years ago, and I don't remember its quality lacking. Or maybe it was standard fare for its time, and everything else has gotten so much better since then while it has remained static. Anyway, good to know. I like good video quality, and I resent having to pay extra for it. So I will keep that in mind vis-a-vis EWP.

LTL: After searching the EWP Pay-Per-View catalog, I'm pretty sure the correct name for the clip you viewed was actually Sacrificing Rachel. I recognized the description as one that was pointed out to me on this forum several years ago (the poster knew I was into burning torture). And even then, I balked at the price and said it was too much money for a 10 minute clip. (If you're curious, read AvF's post and my reply on March 27, 2003). And back then, it cost $24.95. Now that it's up to $30 years later, I still feel that way, especially after your review and the realization that the video quality is sub-par. I suspect that's likely because it is an older clip and that's probably about as good as the video technology was back then.

Face it, we've come leaps and bounds in the past few years as online downloads have taken over and you can download DVD quality shows now that still look great when burned to DVD and played on a television (my preference). EWP is now offering the Gold Series where they've remastered some of their older shows to a much higher resolution format, and if I were to join, that's definitely what I would be going after.

Some of their feature-length movies are very good (I personally reviewed 4 of them when they were available on VHS...check the Reviews section) but are not available for ordering in the DVD format. Like a lot of other adult producers, the political climate prevents them from selling them on their own site, much in the same way that Rick Masters can't sell DVDs on his own ZFX website. Still, I've been real happy with most of their productions. They make the best hanging fantasy films I've ever seen, and it's not even close.

I've started on my Review of Good Murders III. I'll post it here when I'm done.

There is a DeVeDe for Windows, which is still free. However, on my Windows workstation, I use Cucusoft's conversion program, DVD/VCD/SVCD Creator.

There is not a Windows version of Brasero, unfortunately, but the CUE file created by DeVeDe is an image file (not unlike the more common ISO file format), so any CD burning application that can burn an image file should work.

Heather Silk is getting ready for a night on the town, possibly involving some kind of Mardi Gras celebration, since she displays a mask toward the end. Whatever she had planned, the night is going to turn out very differently.

SUMMARY: Heather Silk puts on her makeup, strips down and then dresses in some sexy lingerie and her night-out-on-the-town outfit, gets in her van, and is chloroformed, dragged into the back of her own van and bound with white rope around her wrists and ankles.

I am not a huge fan of abduction clips unless there's nudity and sexual violence involved. Nevertheless, I enjoyed this clip quite a bit, probably because Heather Silk is so hot. The intent of the clip was most likely voyeuristic, and some low menacing music and maybe a shot or two of Heather undressed through the window as if she were being watched by the masked man might have foreshadowed the impending abduction more effectively. But Steve is a one-man show and Powershotz doesn't do musical soundtracks. This was a great GIMP abduction scene, with exquisite build-up and a decent pay-off. This gets a solid B from me.

This 11-minute clip costs $4.00 (which is a good deal because Powershotz clips are usually about $.50 per minute) and is available at the Powershotz store. Check out the preview thumbnails.

A Canadian: The discs from Extreme Theater are DVD-Rs. The company also has a policy that if it comes into possession of a better copy of a title -- fewer cuts or better quality-- they will replace the copy you purchased for free, I did that with Jamie Gillis' "Winter Heat".

The rape scene in "Because of the Cats" is pretty impressive, lasting perhaps 10 minutes or so from beginning to end. But... it is by far the only GIMP in the otherwise tame but interesting film.

More than most Powershotz video clips, this one is superlative in its slow and methodical approach to Layne's bondage and anal violation. First we focus on her feet, which are cute and I think foot fetishists will love this bit. White rope is passed around and between her ankles, and then secured to the back of the bench. This clip features up to three simultaneous split screen images at times, which I think might have been one too many, but I wasn't entirely put off. At least one, and very often two video windows showed off to good effect Layne's lovely nude form or the masked man's perverse ministrations.

About 8 minutes in, the masked man begins violating Layne's anus with various fingers. During the finger penetration moments, Layne's facial expression betrays extreme discomfort, if not pain. She makes the right noises as well.

Unfortunately, at the 10:15 mark, at a point when there are three video windows running, the upper left hand window focused on Layne's face goes wonky, breaking into seven horizontal bars of which bars 2, 4 and 6 freeze. It only lasts a few seconds, but it is mildly distracting, since that is one of the moments when the masked man's finger violates Layne's anus and her face is screwed up in pain. Oh well.

Layne's anal ordeal lasts for several minutes, and includes a lot of what appears to be uncomfortable or flat-out painful moments. At one point she is heard saying "stop" twice, followed by a jump in the continuity, indicating to me she needed a break.

SUMMARY: This is a 14-minute clip of the very pretty, very young model Layne having her ass finger fucked while she is bound to a bench on her hands and knees. Obviously Layne consented to the abuse, but the clip is shot in such a way that the viewer is free to attach any backstory he or she might want to make it seem less consensual.

Personally, I enjoyed the clip. The thing I like about Powershotz clips is that when they are not depicting an abduction and abuse storyline, they are showing a generally young and generally inexperienced model submitting to often humiliating and frequently uncomfortable and/or painful anal, oral, or vaginal abuse. It is the next best thing to nonconsensual. (Nonconsensual > Consensual but still painful abuse > Pain slut) Layne is girl-next-door cute, with a sweet body, and suffers some pain for her appreciative audience. So I rate this clip a solid B.

While I take your point about the Powershotz set-up allowing the viewer to fill in his own backstory, I would have problems with the consensual nature of what appears on screen. Maybe my imagination is as weak as my computer skills but I don't think this is a clip I would enjoy. All the same, I agree with Ralphus that it's good to see you posting reviews again.

Still, I'm not sure I'd be into the clip you reviewed, and not necessarily because of the content. Three split-screen images at one time? Aw, come on, Steve! Pick a shot and go with it. I liked this clip more than I thought I would but then again there are plenty of things wrong with it. First off, the setting for the rendezvous looks like a motel room. I think it would have been much more effective if it were to have happened in an abandoned warehouse or something (even a garage or basement). The dialog I have to fault the writer or producer with as at the beginning, and after she has been tazed and groped, she is only concerned about not giving up information instead of getting the hell out of there. Then there is the un-bound rape. I can understand being beaten down and losing your fight. But did you see those heels? One kick in the crotch and she’s gone….and you're not going to be able to do a damn thing about it.

The second oral scene (which is what made me get this in the first place...oral cum shot) looks too consensual as there is no distressed looks on her face during the oral or even after he cums in her mouth.

The strangling I really wasn't expecting too much from, and was fairly right on this. Although it was a little better than expected as her face turned a nice shade of red right before she dies.

RE: Sound Effects - I kind of like the actual sounds you have now. There are some instances where subtle background music might enhance a scene. (Like the Heather Silk abduction bit, which I mentioned previously.) But all in all, the raw sounds of whipping, flogging, slapping, and spanking; the squishing of oil and lube against skin and in orifices; and the grunts, moans, screams, cries and whimpers of bound helpless beauties are all exquisitely rendered now.

Layne reminds me a little of Victoria, who I thought was drop-dead gorgeous, with a body that pushed all my buttons, but she rarely showed much emotion. Of course, Victoria never was penetrated, which might very well have elicited a more emotional response from her. Layne does indeed come across as apprehensive as she is being oiled up and prepared, and she is anything but bored when penetrating fingers come into play.

If you have model numbers, you should be able to check the specs. Stamped DVDs (like mainstream movies, virtually all dual-layer) should play fine. Recordable DVD-R DL or DVD+R DL can be a different issue. Specs should tell you if your DVD drive or player is compatible with those.

Galt's review of Heather Silk... Vanesthetized: Interesting review considering I read it after just watching the clip. Just goes to show how different each viewer's reaction can be regarding the same movie.

I'm sure this isn't news to some people here but it is interesting to see just how big some of these sites are. According to the story, some vanilla porn sites such as YouPorn and RedTube get more traffic than TMZ and the Huffington Post. Indeed, I have read comments on some forums where people will mock anyone who actually pays for their porn (although it should be noted those people are discussing vanilla porn).

At some point I expect the dvd to be replaced with a chip. It won't be long maybe a year or two. At that point all options become available because you are no longer tied to a format. 4 gig chips need to get in the one to two dollar range to make it happen but the elimination of moving parts and playback options will drive the technology quickly.

I had considered selling dvds as a series of downloads that the customer uses to construct and burn his own dvd at home. The problem would be training everyone to do it and debugging their systems for them when they can't make it work.

Adding dramatic sound effects will be the next improvement.

Dude, you don't need sound effects. You don't need split-screen. Those are all just gimmicks and all they do is draw attention to themselves and away from the victim's plight. Like, "Hey, look what the director is doing now!" No. We don't want to watch you direct, we want to watch her emote. You don't need gimmicks, you need to gag your girls. Get a couple cameras, film it live, put the best shots in your finished product and be done with it. If the content is strong enough, you don't need to spice it up with artificial devices.

You do some things right. I saw your Layne takedown clip that you posted (and thank you for that). You start off with a cute girl, good call. The chloroforming was fine, but if I'm the one doing it, right after cuffing her hands, I'm making sure she's quiet before she wakes up. Hell, you don't know how long she's going to be out. Certainly, I think the fact people already pay for Internet access is one factor. There is a resistance to pay any more than the Internet charges and it isn't just affecting porn. News moguls like Rupert Murdoch are struggling with the same issue -- how do you generate revenues to pay for the content that is produced?

I think wanting to be with the times is another factor. It's almost a societal pressure thing, as people are made to look silly if they pay for porn these days when there's plenty of free content available. To quote one guy who posted on a Canadian website, "I'd feel like a fool now paying for porn. There's so much high quality porn from free streaming sites it's not funny."

Finally, there is probably a sense that porn producers don't need the money. Similar to the situation in the music industry where big name stars and producers keep flashing their bling, it probably doesn't help when someone like Vivid Entertainment head Steven Hirsch is interviewed on television talking about how wealthy he is.

I don't know what the answer is but I think the question of how producers make money in this new environment will require some serious thought.

(She also spelled her name "Lexus Lane.") There are numerous downloadable clips that I like that feature Lexis. This one is the last one posted at Powershotz.

I think it is possible to create mood without deep, impenetrable shadows, and I have seen it done. SubSpaceLand, for all its pretentiousness, did an outstanding job of shooting scenes in dark, moody settings but with well-lighted models. RFPix movies may in fact accomplish that as well. I am eager to hear the observations of the first person who reviews one on the forum.

Attackers' latest release in this series, New Slave Island 6, is like an all-star version of a Slave Island movie. The movie's three heroines -- Yuna Mizumoto, Rei Aoki and Ryo Takamiya (in a minor role) -- are all beautiful and accomplished Japanese porn actresses and any one of them could easily carry her own Slave Island feature.

But as the world learned last year when Maria Ozawa showed up in some Attackers movies, an impressive marquee doesn't guarantee success. So the question still has to be asked: Does New Slave Island 6 deliver? The answer, sadly, is not really.

There are some fine stand-alone moments but overall the movie is pretty bland. It's all been done before and similar to other recent entries in this series, there is no longer any serious effort to show resistance from the women who have been kidnapped to become sex slaves. Indeed, in the latest titles, it seems one slap to the face is all it takes to completely break a woman's spirit (as if). As a result, New Slave Island 6 lacks any real sense of menace.

The plot follows up on the hospital storyline from New Slave Island 3. Yuna is checked into that same hospital and her friend, Rei, is trying to get some photos of the hospital's role in the abduction of young women for the tropical sex-slave operation. Rei does manage to capture some incriminating shots but ultimately she is the one who is "captured" -- faster than you can say 'jump cut,' Rei is suddenly a captive on Slave Island, locked in a jail cell, naked, and with her hands cuffed behind her back.

Lying in the same cell as Rei is another naked woman, a tall, slender beauty (Ryo) who has already been doing time on Slave Island and who also has her hands cuffed behind her back. A familiar villain, the guy in the blue track pants, enters the cell and grabs Ryo by the hair, forcing her to get on her knees. As new arrival Rei watches in horror, the villain drops his track pants and forces the reluctant Ryo to blow him until he cums in Ryo's mouth.

Now it's time for Rei's induction. It begins with Rei lying alone in a jail cell, her hands still cuffed behind her, a bit gag in her mouth and a buzzing vibrator tied by ropes into her pussy. A villain enters the cell and removes Rei's bit gag. The villain forces Rei to kneel in front of him and insists Rei blow him. It is now Yuna's turn to be shocked as she sees Rei work for her dinner. A villain enters the cell with some dog food and Rei has to blow the villain to get the food. Yuna is equally dismayed when she sees Rei eating the dog food.

Yuna's turn to be inducted comes next. In a scene that is familiar to Slave Island regulars, Yuna is on a gym mat, with her wrists and ankles cuffed to the mat, and a chain from the roof tied around her waist to keep her in a doggie position. Yuna gets gangbanged as two guys take turns fucking her and she is forced to blow two guys. Yuna also gets a nice slap to the face at one point. Once again, it's a quality scene, and Yuna really sells it, but it doesn't work as a depiction of Yuna being "broken in." A more traditional rape scene would have been better.

There is some really nice stuff that comes next. Yuna and Rei are on all fours, tied to leashes, and are being walked around a jail cell like dogs. To make them comply, a villain is whipping their butts with a flogger. A great scene.

In another familiar scene, Yuna and Rei are both squatting on vertical dildos that are mounted to mirrors on the floor. As they continue to ride the dildos, they are also forced to suck two villains.

And who hasn't seen this type of scene before? Yuna, whose hands continue to be cuffed behind her back, is riding a villain who is lying on the floor, and sucking a guy who is standing beside her, while blindfolded. What does the blindfold mean? What else? Yuna's boyfriend, whose mouth is gagged with black duct tape, is brought into the cell and forced to silently watch the blindfolded love of his life satisfy the two villains. When her blindfold is removed and Yuna sees her boyfriend, she reacts with predictable shock. This is followed by a scene where the gagged boyfriend is held in a standing positioned and is sucked by Rei, while a villain taps Yuna doggie-style.

Up next, Yuna and Rei are standing in a cell, chained arms over head. The villains are massaging the ladies' bodies with vibrators and videotaping the slaves' ordeal. Most of the focus in this scene is on Yuna. Yuna's pussy gets licked by Ryo, who is sitting in front of Yuna (finally, Ryo is back), and then the villain in the blue track pants gives Yuna's pussy a serious drilling with a vibrator. Yuna is also forced to say some words to the video camera, in what appears to be a very humiliating moment.

The action returns to Rei's cell, as blue-track-pants guy shows up again and gets the beautiful and now-understandably submissive Rei to blow him, followed by some copulating in positions such as doggie, reverse cowgirl and missionary.

Finally, a guy who had appeared to be one of Yuna's friends in the hospital shows up in Yuna's cell. It turns out he is actually a Slave Island operative who tricked Yuna. Not only has he betrayed Yuna but the traitor insists on forcing the whimpering beauty to blow him, followed by some fucking in the missionary position on a straw mat on the floor. Lovely Yuna, on her back with her hands cuffed behind her, truly looks violated as she is being violated. Sigh. If only more of the movie had been like this....

My grade: B-

The Slave Island series is now about four years old, and two years have passed since the best films in the series were released. Clearly, time hasn't been kind to this once-loved isle. In fact, it looks like the concept has gone stale. While New Slave Island 6 has some nice moments, such as the final scene with Yuna, the movie is generally uninspired and should be approached with caution.

This just isn't my summer for opening links, attaching links, etc.

The Scenes:

Like most Giga flicks this starts off with the costumed heroine fighting ninja types, who are hopelessly overmatched against our super heroine. Kudos to Giga for at least having here take a few punches. All in all it's a C-, but then most of these scenes are.

In the next scene she sneaks into a warehouse where the rest of this low budget romp is filmed. She fights a few more ninja types who she handles easily and then an ape-like creature appears. He is apparently remote controlled by a green alien as the fight scene is interspaced with the alien handling controls and mumbling Japanese in the most irritating high pitched voice ever to grace the silver screen. The fight is fairly even at first but ultimately the Ape creature takes control and begins to land some good blows. Rico's reactions are excellent and very believable.

The scene was evidently filmed by a 4' tall camera man as almost all of the scenes are shot from a low angle. There is one scene when the ape is stomping on Rico, where the whole scene just shows the foot coming down from below? Why? Ugh? All in all a good scene, But the production hurts. B+

The next scene has the ape wrap a chain around Rico's neck and two of the Ninja types hold the chain. She is then whipped by the ape. While Rico sells it and Giga usually does a good job on this stuff, the low camera angle and position (not AOH) detracts from the scene. At the end of the scene, Rico grabs the whip and defeats the ape creature, all the while interspersed with the mumbling alien and still shot by the midget camera man. What could have been a A- ends up a C+

Then she goes up some stairs and is immediately challenged by another creature. This one is a leather bound robot, who easily defeats the weakened Rico. With the exception of the interspaced mumbling alien and the midget camera angle this is a pretty good scene, ending with Rico writhing on the floor in pain. I'll give it an A-

In the next scene she wakes up suspended with her arms to the side (like crucifixion). First she is beaten with body blows. I like stomach punches, so I should have loved this scene but the low camera angle and far two many close ups killed it. Shot from above doofuses, it implies you're looking down on a victim. Anyway, it was a decent scene, another should have been. I'll give it a B-

The next two scenes she is in the same position. First her uniform is pulled away so her lovely tits are exposed. She receives numerous body blows. Again the shitty camera angle screws it up, by this point I'm yelling at the screen. She is then forced to drink some kind of liquid that has the consistency of motor oil. Probably bad Scotch, LOL. Again, Rico sells it, great set up, lousy execution. B-

The last few scenes she is laying down with her tits exposed and her arms tied down. First they film her in her humiliation, only decent camera angle the entire movie. Then they poor a boiling blue liquid on her, and she is writhing and screaming during the process. Then they use an electrical torture on her tit, but only one shot as she appears to expire. Then they pull her top down and slap her a bit and the movie ends. Decent scenes, Rico does a better job selling it then most. All in all an A- for what it is

Overall grade B-, but a must have for Rico Tachabana fans. Great actress, Great plot, decent villains, piss-poor production values.

Let's be frank, a B- grade is pretty low for a Riko Tachibana film, as she was one of the best actresses to ever work in Japanese porn (in spite of her fake breasts). I also didn't think much of the Giga film I recently reviewed that starred Riko, which suggests Giga never really exploited her talents effectively. It's a shame.

sgtmajor: Really, I'm honored to receive a complimentary copy of Blakemore. Just so you guys know, I never asked for one, and this is the first I'm hearing about it. It's sort of ironic that John was just praising Amber Rayne on this board a few days ago, and yet I've barely even heard of her. However, I'm a big fan of House of Milan and the legendary Blakemore/Whitman/Cole persona so the idea of him returning to collaborate on a new movie all these years later is exciting news. I'll try to do a good job on the review when it comes out. I think GIMPers everywhere will want to get hold of this one.

Whitman, on the other hand, was credited as an HOM cinematographer, and indirectly a photographer (in the same HOM mag that Blakemore is photo editor). Whitman is also credited as director and actor in Bitter Sweet Revenge. This puts the name Whitman together with the video image of the same thin, bearded man anyone into classic HOM (70's and 80's) would recognize. There was also a Bitter Sweet Revenge mag that listed him as Whitman, with photos.

Seems pretty clear cut to me. Although even Lyndon connected the name Blakemore with Whitman photos when they released new stuff of his on their website members area. They made the same mistake that many fans did; they took the photo editor credit and made the jump that he must also be the photographer, rigger, director of movies, etc.

I'm willing to debate it though. And be convinced. Show me a John Blakemore credit from classic HOM (or Cal-Star) material where he's the photographer, cinematographer, rigger, actor, or equivalent. Something other than photo editor.

At any rate, name dispute aside, if it really turns out to be him (Whitman/Cole), Amber Rayne's an excellent choice for model/actress. Also look forward to the video interview with Whitman.

GIMP titles on display: I will sometimes put a number of my DVDs into a six-disc case, so that not all of the cover art for my films is on display. Still, you do see the cover art for a few of the titles, which I guess can lead to questions.

For example, a friend was visiting my place last night and decided to check out my books and my DVDs. At one point, she remarked that she wasn't familiar with some of my movies.

I'm like, "What do you mean? Many of these are well-known movies."

Acting: Both Emily and Raven do a good job with the rapes, and Raven conveys the pain of the beating and electrocution well. Emily does a much better job being strangled, conveying the torment she is suffering. Raven's scene is more one-note and, while still erotic, not nearly as much fun as Emily's. This 16-minute downloadable video clip begins in a split screen showing Dani's face and her butt. Dani is very young looking, dark-haired and agreeably slender. She is on a wooden chest, with her wrists tied together and her ankles also tied together. She has a leather strap around her neck.

How do you know what you're getting though? I mean other than the preview pics and price, I can't seem to find where to look for the clip length.

I admit that the length never concerned me as much as the content. Between the description and the pictures, I can generally tell if it has the stuff I specifically like in a Powershotz clip. The poll question: As I mentioned in my little story that sparked this poll, I keep many of my DVDs in six-disc cases. So while many movies are part of my public collection, the cover art for all of the titles isn't on display.

In fact, I only have two covers on display that are for GIMP movies, and I suspect The Abductors is the only one of the two that is incriminating. The other cover on display is for Zero Woman: Red Handcuffs but I don't think that cover points to anything GIMP.

Some of the other movies I have on display that my friend noticed may be unusual titles but they aren't necessarily GIMP, such as Mr. Mike's Mondo Video.

Getting back to the six-disc cases -- inside each case, you would find more movies that many people here would recognize, such as Ilsa: She-Wolf of the S.S. and I Spit on Your Grave. But guests wouldn't discover those movies unless they started opening up my DVD cases (and how rude would that be?)

Meanwhile, the private stash of porn films is kept hidden. I also use six-disc cases for those films, to keep the collection manageable.

As for leaving things around the house, we leave our Pichard books out on the coffee table. I also have a collection of large-format art books with the theme. How open are you about displaying your "stash" in front of others? If others were to visit your home, would they see little "clues" regarding your fetish?

I have long since given up on caring if people know (other than kids that is). It's my life and I intend to live it. If people don't like what I do then keep your ass out of my house, my space. If they have kids I tell warn them and tell them not to bring anyone underage.

Poll question: I keep my stash fairly well hidden from outsiders, and especially the kids. Most of my stuff is on an external hard-drive. I also have a number of GIMP discs that are kept away from my other movies and are covered in false labels, like "Birdhouses and Other Wood-shop Projects" and "Michael Bolton Live," in case someone does stumble across them. The bondage toys are even more hidden.

As for hints, I doubt that a simple look around my house would offer clues. It would take some considerable snooping to discover my fetish, but those types of people are generally not invited to my home.

This has been a great poll question...so many interesting, varied answers. It's always great to hear from the guys and gals that do this for a living, too. I guess we all have our different levels of comfort concerning the fetish. I think Sarge summed it up perfectly by mentioning that we will never be accepted by mainstream society, and that's understandable. Face it, some of the stuff that turns us on is pretty fucked up. But we know what we like, and we're not hurting anyone, so it's all good. Without any need to rationalize my tastes at all (though there might have been such a need at some point in the past -- some point between the guilt and now), I do sometimes wonder whether the world that we GIMP fans live in is quite as small as we think. If you don't know me, I started, along with a partner, a site called Ruemorgue.com in 1997. In 2006, I sold my portion and started PKF Studios, also referred to as Peach Keen Films.

My goal has always been to great videos with a true, movie-like feel, along with as much quality as possible on a limited budget.

Bondage has never been something I have known much about, however over the years, many of my movies have had elements. I mostly enjoy fooling the audience into thinking something is happening as realistically as I can, without any actual discomfort. With bondage, this gets harder to do because there is actual discomfort and pain depending on the girl and what is done in some cases.

More and more I have been incorporating bondage elements into my movies. But, without having the training myself, I was relying on guesswork and help. Now, I have a bondage professional that works for me and have been taking classes on tying and suspension work. Hopefully, shoots in the future, will have more realistic forms of bondage, but still follow my conditions of mostly being faked. I realized that will not appeal to all, as the real aspect is part of it. There are, however, some things I cannot fake..like suspensions. There are some things I don't want to fake, like sexual simulations.

Almost 1200 movies later, as I move forward I want to incorporate other elements into my movies to add variety, and bondage is one avenue I am pursuing at full momentum.

Well, first off, I rarely have houseguests, so it isn't that much of an issue. Secondly, I don't really have much of a stash of GIMP videos. I do have most of the WSIM tapes from Oslo Netfetter's old site, and those are identifed only with numbers. I keep my computer's screensaver private -- it's a parade of female bondage and torture images, including a number of fakes that I create strictly for my own personal amusement. And anyone checking out my YouTube channel would see a lot of mainstream GIMP scenes on my favorites list. That doesn't bother me in the least. As far as bondage goes, and speaking only for myself, it doesn't have to be anything elaborate. In fact for my tastes, simple is better...as long as it's tight and inescapable. And by simple I mean just some simple cord, thin rope or zip ties. Personally, I'm not into bondage gear, especially in scenarios of an intruder. Clanking chains and straps don't make sense when trying to be stealth.

Your positing here makes me look forward to seeing what you come up with in the future.

I also have to think carefully about what is worth keeping on my computer. My wife has her own computer , but will sometimes use mine, because she likes my stuff, like she likes wearing my shirts sometimes.

She knows I have "hotties" on my computer and to not go poking around. I told her. If she pokes around on mine, then I'm allowd to poke around on hers. I know she has her things on her computer than she might not want me to see, and that's just fine by me.

I'm still quite careful about what I keep and how it is labeled. If a folder contain bondage, I will label it, DON'T LOOK IN HERE. I figure that's obvious enough. If there's a succulent rape scene I want to keep, I will label that one PRIVATE - DON'T LOOK - REALLY. That ought to do the trick.

Other than extremes, I think most bondage ties are pretty painless. Ralphus has been putting up a few daily pics of Powershotz’s stuff and most (a few exceptions of course) of the bonds are fairly basic and painless. They are just restraints as a means to other things (torture, rape, etc.).

As far as suspensions go I remember reading someplace (here?) an interview w/Lisa Kinkaid of ZFX fame. She mentioned that she preferred to be suspended by her ankles as this was of less discomfort that being hung by her wrists.

Some ladies are into the extreme stuff though. We have been talking about Amber Rayne (see URL) recently and it seems that she just loves to be pushed to her limits.

At about the 13-minute mark, after smearing a dollop of lubricant between her ass cheeks and massaging it into her asshole, the masked man lubes up the glass rod. Back again, and there's a tear visible on Candy's cheek that wasn't there when we cut away. I can understand why Steve edits his videos so carefully, but I would love to get hold of some of his outtakes.

Another great gob of Vaseline-like lubricant is applied to Candy's little round anus and as anxiety clouds her pretty face, the masked man starts working the bulb end of the glass rod into her asshole once again.

Now, at this point, the videographer zooms in for a very nice close-up of the rod disappearing into Candy, but he or she loses his or her balance or something, and we get a close-up of, like, everything around the point of penetration instead. It was a great idea, but needed a videographer with a steadier hand to pull it off. Not the first time Steve has been let down by his videographer, and probably not the last.

The lovely Candy, now well and truly sodomized, groans, moans, whimpers and takes short little gasping breaths. The masked man wraps his arm around her neck and holds her tightly as he pushes and pulls the rod, fucking her ass. There's an edit cut, but it comes right back to Candy still being painfully sodomized, and with more tears visible on her cheeks. All I can say is that it's a good thing the masked man had a good grip on Candy because she struggled quite a bit.

Okay, now at this point there's a bit of unintentional humor. Candy comes very close to crying at this juncture. The masked man releases his hold on her head and spanks her ass as he orders her to "arch your back!" to which she plaintively responds, "I am!" And then the leg of a camera tripod (or something) comes dancing into the frame, hovers there a moment or two, and then dances back out. Good videographers are so hard to find. Oh well.

The masked man withdraws the glass rod from Candy's tight little orifice rapidly and her reaction is immediate and loud. Candy is crying and saying "no no no." The rod goes back in and out a few more times. The masked man reverses it and uses the conical end. He slowly pushes it in. She cries, "no no no... no." He keeps pushing. She cries, "God. fucking. dammit. no." He withdraws the rod and abruptly slides two or three fingers into her instead. She lunges forward and cries out "no" a few more times and then finally says "okay okay okay." which must be the safe word because that kind of puts an end to that. The masked man pushes her head down, smacks her butt, and end of scene.

SUMMARY: A very attractive and totally naked Candy, initially ballgagged, on her hands and knees with her wrists and ankles bound, is oiled down, lubed up, and glass rod-fucked and -sodomized in a number of ways that pushed and very likely exceeded her limits to the point of tears. Steve's description indicates that it was all extremely realistic acting. Candy deserves an acting award. My god it was awesome.

This is a sterling example of what I look for in Powershotz videos, because I haven't found anyone else who does it quite as well. Obviously we have a consensual encounter, but the (amateur) model is pushed to the brink. This is a stand-out video clip. For what it does, within the limits of what it can do, I unreservedly give this an A.

While not covered in ZFX posters, I have used action figures from Buffy, Charmed and other Superheroines in combination with various parts from sets of megablocks and miniature lighting to create torture chamber and science lab scenarios. These are displayed on individual selves around the room. In total about 30+ feet of shelf with approx. 100 figures. To the unknowing eye, I describe them as works of creative art (which they are in some ways). Reactions of those I allow to view are always interesting. My one friend in the know did not require any explanation when he first saw them. As for the ex when she visits... she's silently accepted it as art.

I'll try to drop in with some stuff from the golden era as I've been 'collecting' since the 60's which has been a challenge on this side of the border... yes another Canadian... but there was a time when Queen St. was populated by half a dozen adult bookstores during my formative years. Bad bondage, like tying the hands in front, for example, can ruin the fantasy. So does a bad gag or even the lack of one in some cases. We can talk specifics later, but that's what I would start with. If you were doing this to her yourself, you need to use common sense. Hiring the bondage professional is a good first step.

As for Trachtenburg, well I'm guessing not many here actually saw Buffy. I was so disappointed when she didn't give us a peek in Eurotrip, and even though it would have been fully in character for her role, she also did not have any nude or near-nude scenes in Beautiful Ohio. But she is young, so we can always hope.

There are a lot of mighty fine amateur models on the Powershotz web site. I'm not sure whether it is cool or frustrating that we get to see young and generally inexperienced models there that we never see anywhere else. Lexis Lane (although now all but disappeared) went on to do other stuff. Kordelia Devonshire has shown up on other sites as well. • Is the lighting an issue?: No. I'm not technical enough to understand the lighting discussions, but as a viewer I can say everything was well lit and I could clearly see what was happening.

• Is the FlickRocket system difficult to use?: No. I had to get technical support to help me with one issue, which I will describe later. But the system is easy to use, does give you all the tools of a DVD disc, and the quality of the picture was excellent on my computer screen.

• Is Jane as attractive as Ralphus suggests?: Yes. Jane has a lovely face and is a natural beauty, which I really like. I'm not sure if it's appropriate to say this about a fellow GIMPer but she also has a smokin' body.

• Does Jane have too much pubic hair?: No. The pubic hair looks nice and adds to Jane's natural-looking beauty.

The film I watched, Red Room, mostly focused on whipping scenes. There were other tortures such as Jane riding a wooden horse contraption with sharp spikes on the top, and a crucifixion scene near the end, which was much hotter than I was expecting.

The Red Feline stuff tends to get a bit bloodier than I normally like, but I knew that going in and it wasn't over the top (not like some of that stuff in Ilsa).

I did note a couple of things, which I share for Jane's consideration and for possible discussion here.

The film I watched had no dialogue. I believe this is an artistic decision but I think some talking would help improve the movies as it would provide more room for humiliation to go along with the tortures (although there certainly are some nice moments of humiliation in Red Room).

I would also suggest adding a bit more variety to the mix. I like watching a good whipping as much as the next guy but I thought there may have been too many whipping scenes in this movie.

Anyway, those are some quick thoughts. I can try to pull together a review at a later date if there is any interest.

Just so you know, there are definitely some Canadians who read this forum, as I would occasionally receive e-mails from fellow Canadians (back in the days when I posted my e-mail address). Usually, the e-mails were from people looking to purchase particular movies in Canada and avoid the Customs hassles. Anyway, I don't know how strong the Canadian constituency is but it exists.

That being said, my personal interests are quite varied. While I am a fetishist first and foremost, I know that I must produce a good product to support my habit. The side effect is, unfortunately, that I cannot sit and watch my own content for enjoyment. The problem is that I concentrate on too many other aspects of the production as I am watching, rather then the story. The other problem I have is within the death fetish community, there is very little other product I can watch for enjoyment. If the production values are bad, or they do stupid things, or it comes off as corny--I cannot enjoy it. So, I am always looking for good movies to buy....both from mainstream and fetish producers. A Canadian: Thank you so much for the brief review of Red Room. It was helpful information that allowed me to better place Red Feline products on my rank-ordered To Do List of GIMP to Watch. FlickRocket doesn't sound as plug-and-play as it could be, but new technology almost always requires a bit of work.

Furthermore, the system passed the simplest test for an online format -- I was able to get it to work.

Ralphus - I don't have any pics at this point but I'll get my hands on a digital cam and set some up. I'll send them to you once I've taken them. Like you and Brutus, I had my Barbie stage... even made a movie staring Barbie and her friends... never put them on display though.

Action figures on the other hand are 'boy toys' so displaying them in the manner I do has not raised any "you pervert" responses but either WOW or silence. Their articulation allows them to be put in many different positions with the megablocks Dragon series providing surprisingly adaptable parts for intricate torture devices and stone dungeons.

I was a big fan of the Buffy series which did have a fair number of GIMP scenes but were often broken with humor (a show trademark) and, of course, the too soon rescue. This is one of the reasons I started... takes the show where we all would want it to go. The female stars of other shows and comics have met a similar fate.

LTL - I have a vague recollection of the HOM statues as well as the even earlier Aurora model kits of torture devices - I remember building the working guillotine when I was a kid. As for 'Dawn" (MT"s character) figures; there are four including one in the dress she's wearing in the picture Yik Yakker linked. Whether by accident or intentional design, it's possible to remove the bottom half of most dresses. With the Buffy Graduation Day figure, you can strip her down to her panties... yes panties are painted on. With that and articulation, its like they were designed for me.

Canadian - Probably a lot more fellow countrymen than even we suspect given that there are still places to get it locally. One of the reasons I've lurked for so long is that until I took early retirement I was in a job where there could have been serious repercussions if found out somehow. I guess we'd better watch what we say about public figures in our posts (see URL).

Your issues with Red Room were: 1) No dialogue and; 2) Too much whipping.

1) This was the first film I made with RFPIX, at that time JJ didn't see the need for dialogue, so he didn't have any, this is also true of The Perils of Jane in the Green Inferno and AristoCrux. We have a mostly European audience, so the lack of dialogue has only come up once before. Many people prefer that we don't have dialogue so they don't have to read subtitles, etc. There is dialogue in the Inquisition Series, in French. I actually prefer some dialogue, so I added it to The Agent (in English) and plan to include dialogue in all of my future productions. The interaction, which includes dialogue, can increase humiliation in many ways, especially if my character is trying to plead with the villain, and he is treating me like an animal and refusing to talk to me. Eventually, through torture, my character is debased into an animal-like state. I like that sort of thing. In The Agent, the basis of the dialogue is interrogation.

2) Red Room has more whipping than the other productions. AristoCrux has far more variety, and interaction between the villain and the Princess for that matter. Suspension, strappado, etc. The Agent has a lot more variety and we included many different tortures we never had in previous productions. You may be aware that our client base is the Crucifixion crowd (this includes JJ), so we must have a crucifixion of some sort at the end of each production. We have two nice whipping scenes in The Agent and a whole lot more of other good stuff.

Scot: The locations for The Perils of Jane in the Green Inferno and AristoCrux are in what is referred to as the "Lungs of the World", in South America. It's in the mountains on the border of the Rainforest. Specifically, it's called tropical cloud forest and the locations are about 1,525m-1675m above sea level. The fun part is having to ascend to about 4800m in order to go back down. As you go up, the percentage of oxygen goes down very fast, and you feel like you're suffocating and your mouth gets dry because there is no humidity. As you start to descend, just as fast, the air fills with oxygen again and the air becomes very humid as you approach the cloud forest. The more I talk about it, the more I suddenly feel the need for a vacation. I'd like to make another movie there sometime.

I liked the film a little more than Kevin (the reviewer) did but agree with a lot of his assessments of it.

The part that I think was cool, is where the victim of a couple of deranged individual's current obsession (specifically picked out because of her fame as a model), is secured in a chair, and with a large video monitor in front of her, forced to watch what tortures her predecessors endured.

Also got another DVD in the same shipment called "The Secret". Very entertaining movie. It's about a husband, wife, and their daughter. The mother and daughter get in a car crash and are taken to the E.R.. The wife awakens and see's her daughter go into cardiac arrest. She screams for her daughter and because of the stress also flatlines. They are both pronounced dead but then the daughter gets a pulse back. But it turns out that the wife's soul is in the daughter's body.

Anyway, to try and make a long story short, the husband is freaked as the wife is talking through the daughter. The wife is experiencing everything a 16 year old girl experiences, including the raging hormones, and knows the daughter will eventually return to her own body...which eventually she does.

Only one near-Gimp scene in this one. It turns out the daughter is a little kinky, so as the mother temporarily assumes her life, continuing school, a boyfriend sneaks up behind her cuffing her mouth with his hand and drags her off into another room, playing some sort of abduction game. The mom freaks of course as she fights off the guy.

Like I said, no real gimp scenes in this one. The only reason I mention is that it is a good movie. And Olivia Thirbly who plays the daughter is a real cutie (immediately making her way up my hotties chart). Check out the URL.

Hmmm . . . another interesting question.

In my mid-teens, I had an art instruction book filled with sketches of female nudes. Something compelled me to pick up a pencil and adorn those lovely naked ladies with wrist manacles, chains and ropes. Around the same time, I started making mental notes of movies featuring scenes of bound or whipped women that turned up regularly on television.

BTW, the art lessons never helped. To this day, I can't draw human figures, animals, or any living organism more complex than an amoeba. Still love those bondage babes, though!

The Last House on the Left (2009)

Wes Craven's 1972 Last House on the Left is just one of those cult classics that ought to be left alone. What the 2009 version does is sanitizes the movie, making it a better mainstream movie, but forfeiting its cult status. I thought the remake was a fine movie, and if I hadn't loved the original, I would have really liked it.

The Last House on the Left (2009) builds to the assault of Mari Collingwood (Sara Paxton) and her friend, Paige (Martha MacIsaac), which happens a little over halfway through. The tension increases nicely, with escalating violence. There are abduction elements, although the girls are really just manhandled and hand gagged. There is a nice, brutal head-to-the-bathroom-sink moment when Paige tries to escape at the motel.

They end up out in the woods, with the SUV crashed into a tree thanks to Mari's escape attempt. The bad guys are pissed. Paige makes a run for it. She is chased and finally re-captured. Her shirt is torn off in order to use it to bind her hands behind her back. She is wearing an industrial strength black bra.

When she is brought back, the head bad guy tells his reluctant son to pick one of the girls to rape. He hesitates, so they pick Mari for him. Clothes are ripped, Mari is held down on her back, then on her stomach. Paige calls them "pathetic," diverting attention to herself. Do they strip her and rape her instead? No. One guy stabs her in the lower belly with a knife while the other guy stabs her in the lower back with another knife and they drop her to bleed to death. Prime GIMP opportunity completely wasted.

The head bad guy decides to rape Mari instead since the reluctant son won't. Her bra is ripped off, but her shirt is not. Her shorts are taken off, and her panties are taken down, and she is raped from behind. Incredibly, although the rape takes a while, there is no nudity (well, except for her bare thigh). And there is no nudity afterwards, as Mari picks herself up and arranges her clothes. And there is no nudity as she whacks the guy with a rock and runs to the nearby lake to escape.

In fact, the only nudity is gratuitous topless nudity by the bad guy's girlfriend (Riki Lindhome), who loves taking off her shirt and never wears a bra. She does it at the motel for no apparent reason, and she sleeps topless later on.

All of the really inventive violence happens to the bad guys. Except for the bad guy's girlfriend, who only gets shot.

SUMMARY: Two bad guys, a skanky girlfriend, and the reluctant son of one of the bad guys take cute teen victims Mari and Paige out into the woods. Paige is knifed, Mari is raped and escapes. The four bad people find their way to the lake house of Mari's parents, where they are found out and the movie ends with the bad guys getting theirs.

Decent build up, with knife threatening and groping, plus some hand gagging. Only one instance of bondage (wrists tied behind the back). One wasted opportunity as Paige, wearing a black bra and jeans, is only knifed. One pretty good rape involving Mari, but the complete and total lack of nudity was a major disappointment. As the only climactic GIMP scene, it left a lot to be desired.

As a movie, I would recommend this to people who like violent revenge movies. It was very, very good. As a GIMP movie, it is notable (not in a good way) for its many, many missed opportunities. Mari's rape could have been easily featured, uncut, in an American TV procedural like Law and Order: SVU. You know how you are tempted to give an even lower grade because it could have been so much more than it was, but it wasn't? I really want to whack this flick, but I'll settle for saying its GIMP rating is D.

This is a new movie, so it is probably still on the store shelves. But it is also available at Amazon.com.

I was surprised to read that it was Sara Paxton who starred in it. She used to star in a kids program called "Darby's Wild Life" I think it was.

I am glad to hear you will be including dialogue in The Agent and some of the other new productions, as I think that adds a lot to the credibility of the scenes.

I understand the need to appeal to international audiences. But as someone who has watched a fair bit of Japanese porn, I can tell you I like dialogue in a movie, even when I don't understand what is being said. I can still pick up whether the victim is terrified, angry, fighting back, etc., without knowing the meaning of the words.

I would also add that I have seen Inquisition movies that had no dialogue (presumably, also done to appeal to international audiences) and Inquisition films with dialogue and I preferred the ones with dialogue for the same reasons mentioned above.

On another note, I was interested to learn about the crucifixion requirements. I didn't know that was your audience base but I do now. Although it's not on my list of tortures to look for, I did enjoy the crucifixion in Red Room and will probably enjoy seeing others.

Finally, I was very pleased to learn about the whipping scenes in The Agent. That movie does sound like it will have a good mix of scenes in it, including both torture and rape, and I am really looking forward to seeing it.

YikYakker: Thanks for the link about that model's libel situation. It's certainly something to think about. I do think it's important to remember that in the U.S. and Canada, there is a defence known as fair comment, which is generally a legal right to express an opinion provided that opinion doesn't misrepresent the facts. As the comments and reviews posted on this forum are mostly opinions (as opposed to "news" reporting of new facts), I would think we should be pretty safe. But I'm not a lawyer.

Although I prefer dialog in films, foreign language dialog is really cool because not knowing what they are saying seems to add even more intrigue. What I don't care for is subtitles. I guess I prefer a clean screen.

I have never been into the death scene. An early demise was always disappointing in the slasher genre because it put an end to the fun way too early. Many discussions and links I've seen here on the forum have caused me to give it fresh consideration. I'm starting to have more of an interest. Maybe I just need a bigger fix, I dunno.

As far as the dialogue vs. no dialogue debate goes, I think it's necessary in a GIMP film only when there's backstory or exposition that can best be delivered by the spoken word. Otherwise, the facial expressions and non-verbal vocalizations (screams, yelps, moans, whimpers, grunts, etc.) of both victim and villain can be sufficient. After all, movies didn't talk for their first quarter-century or so. To quote Norma Desmond from "Sunset Boulevard": "We didn't need dialogue. We had FACES!"

Ironman: Yes, Diana Rigg in "The Avengers" jump-started puberty for a whole generation of males. As for "finding excuses to tie up the girl next door in the friendly games of cops and robbers, cowboys and indians etc.," you were a lucky little bastard. I didn't have a girl next door, and if there had been one, I doubt she would have let me tie her up!

Dialogue in bondage movies: Honestly, I think it's one of the most important elements and it's pretty rare that a film will succeed as well without it. Or at the least, a movie is likely going to be improved with the addition of dialogue as opposed to not having it. The last time I remember really enjoying a bondage film where the bad guy didn't speak was ZFX's Forced Entry and that was a good 10 years ago. A lot of filmmakers don't take into consideration that a film has to be written as well as acted. And frankly, the lack of dialogue was one reason why my fast-forward thumb got itchy while watching Red Feline of the Cross, which I mentioned earlier.

I had the suspicion that Red Room would have no dialogue when I saw the trailer and noticed there was no one speaking. That was the main reason why I held off buying that one. I was very glad to hear that Jane decided it was a good idea to add dialogue to The Agent because I've already committed to buying and reviewing it for the board.

Canadian adroitly pointed out that those Japanese films we all love have dialogue that few of us can understand, but just hearing the tone of the voice of the villain and seeing the victim react to his words makes them work so well. It's not so much the action but the fear and the distress of the girl that makes the whole package complete.

Sure, it's open season on torturing men, but dare we show a naked pair of breasts in a female rape scene? Of course not, that would be too offensive. Hollywood continues to get everything back-assward.

I agree that the "slasher" movies are almost always a let down. What gets me is that the whole genre took off after the original "Halloween". And that one wasn't all slash and gash as 2 of the victims were strangled (at least they struggle for a while instead of gash and you're dead). It seemed that every slasher flick after "Halloween" was exactly that, slash and gash...and a quick demise. Plus the killers are a bunch of limp-wrists, as a lot of times with a naked girl in front of them, all they think about is sticking a knife in them and not a dick.

Dialog: I prefer dialog as would be evident by the comments on a few of my reviews would indicate. But no dialog can be effective also. "Halloween", again as an example (from the villain that is), was effectively done by having a very ominous presence and the subtlety of movement, Like when M.Meyers has a victim stuck to a wall with a knife through his gut and just kinda looks at him for a second, tilting his head to the side.

So much can be communicated so very effectively through nonverbal means. Eerie mannerisms like the Michael Myers head tilt that LTL mentioned is an excellent example. Anticipatory heavy breathing also factors into the silent treatment vibe. If it is done right, you can almost see the heart rate increasing, the nostrils flaring, adrenaline racing through the system, setting all the nerve endings on edge as blood courses downward to give rise to an erection that is almost unbearably painful until it can be put to violent use. Then the deep intake of breath and the slow, inexorable movement forward toward a helplessly bound naked victim struggling vainly to escape. Really, are words all that necessary?

However, the victim should never be quiet. A silent bad guy is always much more enjoyable when the victim keeps pleading and begging, becoming even more distraught by the continued silent treatment. The vocabulary doesn't have to be extensive (no, stop, don't, you're hurting me, oh god, ouch, oh fuck, please don't, please let me go, please don't hurt me, you're killing me, you're tearing me apart, help me, someone please help me). In fact, a certain amount of repetition is natural. Crying, screaming, gasping, grunting, and whimpering can all be interspersed among the words, but those words are important.

I don't understand Japanese, but the dialogue screamed out by the female victims makes the viewing more enjoyable. Sometimes it is the same word ("no," I suspect) over and over. For some things I don't need (or need to read) subtitles. But I still want that verbalization.

Well, my earliest memory of having that experience was at the age of seven, when I fantasized about have three particular girls in my class at school held captive in the garage. But I'm almost certain that was not the first experience, only the first that I can remember.

YikYakker: The torturing of men has never turned me on unless the torturer is an incredibly hot babe who can act. But even in those scenes, I've focused more on the woman and hoped that the guy would escape and give his former tormentor the business (and not just shoot her.)

Kids can be so cruel. In my imaginary movie I see a babysitter coaxed into playing cops & robbers or something, tied up, then have a few more (older 12 or 13) kids come over. Stripped to explore what a young girls body looks like. Probed and have things inserted. Then torturing her without really setting out to do so...just because kids have no empathy. I see the pins like Scot's classmate mentioned, or pliers. Maybe cut her hair or super glue some things together, or shut. Just things kids that have no developed conscious would think of.

Think back to the "Star Trek" episode about the kids and their "bonk, bonk on the head, bonk, bonk!"...but just in a sexual exploratory way.

Right now my kitchen table is covered with flesh hooks and other piercing supplies. On the counter is a fucking machine I am in the midst of building. There is a pulley and chain over the bed and eye-bolts in the wall on either side. In fact, the only room in my house that doesn't scream, "Pervert!" is the bathroom. I may have to remedy that.

I have a two-car garage. One side is a dungeon complete with a St. Andrew's Cross, stocks, cage and gyno table. The belt buckle I wear everywhere I go has handcuffs on it and I often wear a handcuff earring. All my tshirts are from leather events and I usually do all my shopping in my leathers. There is a Leather Pride sticker on the back window of the SUV I use for abduction play.

Murder-Set-Pieces: Well, I'm pretty sure the version I saw was the R-rated version, but what I did see didn't impress me much. Another example of too much blood and not enough bondage and distress. The one way to ruin a scene with a tied-up women is to dump a gallon of blood over her. I just don't get the appeal of overdoing it like that.

I used to try to keep up with Brian's Page but that site gets so much activity that I gave up years ago. I don't want to sound like a shill for Mattel but that's not entirely true. For example, a person could enact a gang-rape scenario where Barbie is violated by the likes of Ken, G.I. Joe with the kung-fu grip, and others.

Kind of strange that I'm trying to organize my files and I'm finding lots of the Barbie bondage. Does anyone have a link to the site I believe by RT? The Barbie rape pics at the top of the site are his, and he also did indeed create a horse rape series with a bound (plastic) woman; the least offensive still I could find is in my Homepage URL. But I don't recall any Barbies on crosses and I definitely don't remember him burning any of them at the stake, even though I have lots of pictures of that by other artists (apparently there are other Barbie-burning sick fucks out there besides me).

Sadly, his website has been gone off the net for at least a year and several e-mails to him have gone unanswered. It was a helluva site; unfortunately, this seems to happen eventually with pretty much all fetish-related sites on the Internet.

That pic you linked us to was from "Never Cry Werewolf". That was the part when the werewolf ordered her to take her shirt off (but of course stopped short) and ended up with that black bra (or crop top) in the picture.

Maybe in the future we'll get to see something of Gimp worthiness....or at least some skin.

As far as Melanie Leisman goes, when I was looking for a picture to post, I found one where it looks like she's in distress or something and crawling away from something (or someone), but everytime I clicked on the pic to see what it was all about, my browser would freeze. I'm hoping she's got a Gimp worthy scene that I am not yet aware of (hence the picture).
