When I commented on the find, I had not watched the clip. It is an excellent depiction of what went on. Great find, again. You have an uncanny ability to find this type of thing. The clip also reminded me of something Electric City might attempt.

Note: The accent of the interrogators sounds more Argentinian than Paraguayan.

I disagree JD, this isn't just decent. It's actually one of the best series of scenes of this type I've ever seen.

Glad you enjoy it. What made it lose points IMO was that in the suspension scene it's obviously she's sitting on a chair by the position of her arms, bent almost 90 degrees. I understand it's a painful position and they maybe didn't want to hurt their main actress, Justina Bustos but at least they could have find a smaller chair, to at least entertain the idea of suspension. Small details.

Yeah, I agree, details are important and they can (and too often do) ruin a scene, but as frog said the general atmosphere is beautifully rendered, I'm talking in particular of the way the prisoners are kept and treated by the bad guys.

Prisioneros Desaparecidos (1979)

A Cuban propaganda movie about the evil of fascism in the rest of Latin America in the 70s. Very (VERY) poor quality but it has a parrot perch scene so I thought you might want to have a look. But again, be warned, super fuzzy. Don't come to ask for your money back.

If there's one thing I don't like is an interrogator losing his cool. This one seems to be on the verge of an heart attack after a few questions. Thumbs down, compañero (not you, the director)

Mostly low intensity scenes lately, not really suitable here. This one is no exception.

This night Aloy was chosen to spend the night warming the bed of the mine chief overseer in his hut. She wasn't the first choice, mostly due to her tomboyish attitude and rather sturdy, muscular frame but for whatever reason, she was called tonight. As it's customary, the guests are chained between two rings of steel positioned on the end posts of the hut for safety. Quite a few of them tried to escape in the wee hours of the mourn. They were recaptured quickly but why take chances?

"This is much better than the pens" she thinks before falling asleep. "Can't remember the last time I slept on a proper bed, rather than packed dirt. I could get used to it".

I actually thought that was a photograph when I first looked at it.
