Hey, I'm an engineer too!!!
I didn't know that. I just know that Daz allows it, and I envision a young heroine would have turgid nipples when she's (a) sexually aroused, or (b) in dire terror!
It's a function (a morph) of a figure loaded, not a poser program. Unless you work with really old figures, like V3 or older you should be able to access those nipple morph that allows you all kind of shapes, level of erection, etc.
How much do Poser characters cost these day, doe? The latest Daz Genesis 9 characters look like they range from $20 to $40, though you can find some on sale for as low as $5 (but those usually aren't as full-featured as the more expensive characters - you get what you pay for). In any case, I'm not really buying much these days. I invested in more expensive Genesis 8 characters (though I put them in my Wishlist and waited for them to go on sale - though they never went down to $5!), and those characters make my images look much better.
Normally they all come included full feature in the original package, all except the latest La Femme. One can also buy third party figures up to G6 from DAZ or the great Dawn from HiveWire, something like 30 bucks full price. For La Femme they sell the morphs in packages of 10..20 bucks, some better, some worse.bleumune wrote: ↑Thu Jul 06, 2023 6:29 pm How much do Poser characters cost these day, doe? Gosh, no ... far from me ... the effort to get over the curve would be justified only if you have specific needs (I like large crowds for example, DAZ wouldn't handle the load, also having many poligons in the scene require an all core-rendering for decent amount of time). If you're perfectly happy with a less crowded scene, with less than ... 5...10 millions of vertexes, it's not really worth it.bleumune wrote: ↑Thu Jul 06, 2023 6:29 pm If I was younger, I might give Poser another try - you're a persuasive advocate! But I'm already too far up the Daz learning curve, with lots of $$ invested in Daz 3D models of all varieties - clothes, poses, expressions, scenes, etc. I guess I'll just have to stumble along as best I can . . .![]()
The biggest reason to upgrade from V4.2 is the skin and the expressions. The V4.2 skins don't look as realistic when rendering with Iray, and I'll NEVER go back to 3Delight! But when you mention "old and broke," I have to admit that it can take a long, long time to render an Iray scene just with your computer's CPU. I got some royalties as an inheritance, and I splurged with a real monster of a graphics card (it takes a special Nvidia graphics card to render Iray, almost certainly because Nvidia invented Iray!wjhk93 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 06, 2023 10:46 pm I bought Victoria 4.2 bundle: https://www.daz3d.com/victoria-4-2-pro-bundle , the first year I was creating bats posers and been using V4.2 ever since for my stake damsels and all my poser characters.
I think If it's not broken why change to V6... V9. This V4.2 bundle allows me to adjust stake damsels head to toe whatever my twisted BATS crazy mind needs. It has about 25 different facial features too.
Besides I'm too old and broke try any thing else. Will Burner
