That's an amazing effort, and a good record of death metal albums. Very interesting, and thanks for sharing. It would be interesting to know where/how that photo originated (or did I miss that?)CoversTheRelentless wrote: ↑Fri Oct 21, 2022 1:20 pm 10 Days in a Madhouse [DVD] [2015]
This is the last item I have with our now-infamous photo. I suspect the photo first entered the awareness of metal album cover artists with the release of the movie "10 Days in a Madhouse".

I made a web page to allow easier comparison of the album covers.

Well this might be true. I think I also read the photo was attributed to the 1920's.That's an amazing effort, and a good record of death metal albums. Very interesting, and thanks for sharing. It would be interesting to know where/how that photo originated (or did I miss that?)

I'd be willing to bet that is one of John Willy's art images. It certainly resembles his style and time frame. I looked through my files and couldn't find it, so I could be wrong.

It does bear some resemblance to John Willie's usual style, but I don't recognize it. There were lots of engravings in books and magazines of images in this style.I'd be willing to bet that is one of John Willy's art images. It certainly resembles his style and time frame.
