This clip is the prequel to Hazel...Try Before You Buy. First of all membership costs $20; cheap I think, and this gives you one month to download what you wish. Only membership allows you to download the films. There are nineteen of his complete films plus a number of compilations and other bits and pieces which include clips from those films but also other scenes he's recorded. Some of his completed films are not available yet. All of the complete films are in MPEG format as are most of the compilations, but some clips are in MOV (Quicktime).

The films are arranged in clips of four to six minute lengths making them easy to download, and with a download manager (I use Get Right) they can be downloaded in batches whilst you do other things on your PC (such as reading your favourite forum perhaps). There's no Digital Rights Management (DRM) so you can edit and store on a DVD if you wish. Quality is variable but acceptable - pixel size varies, either 352x288 or 704x576. Some of these films were made in the 1980s I think and so can be a bit grainy. Mr. Titsman's arty side comes to the fore at times (strange filters, wobbly dream sequences - usually to the films detriment; slow motion, odd camera angles - sometimes beneficial). Not all his films are well edited. The girls are French, and with one exception are voluptuous and attractive. Nearly all have hairy bushes.

Generally I think his site is worth the $20 though as you do get lovely girls and some good situations (if your name has some connection with breasts, you'll have no choice of course).

Using Internet Explorer on a Windows XP SP3 workstation and a Windows Vista workstation - everything worked fine ONCE, then does as you describe.

Using Safari on a Windows XP SP3 workstation - everything works fine, although when I was clicking through to the Whipping Scenes for Women database I got an advertisement that wouldn't let me proceed for about 5 seconds. First time I've seen that. Is that new? If so, maybe it is being implemented badly and causing issues?

Using the Opera browser on my W2K workstation - everything works fine.

Sounds like some HTML or javascript modification with the advertising that is interpreted (or misinterpreted) by browsers differently. Sounds like a Tripod issue.

This means there's actually an opening here for Bill Zebub, if he gets it right, to produce the best film of the year. It might sound preposterous. But when you think about it, his movie is inspired by an amazing story. His lead actress, judging from the few pictures I've seen, looks pretty hot. The Powershotz vs. Sex and Submission debate: I have to go along with John Galt on this one. If you're looking for bondage sex and these are your two choices, I'd go with Powershotz, too. A lot cuter models over there as opposed to the "harder-looking" pros they have on S&S. This is by no means true across the board, just what I've noticed from the few preview pics. And I haven't seen a lot of action from either company, so I can't give a definitive answer on which one handles it better.

A Canadian: Even if the new Bill Zebub film does indeed turn out to be good, I can tell you it may not even be out in time to qualify for the best film of the year. He just finished shooting it and posted that it would take a few months to edit, so more likely, it will be out early next year.

Sex and Submission, Fucking Dungeon, and Fucked and Bound: Compare and Contrast

I have been a member of all three of these sites at some time during 2008, and I am happy to give you my thoughts on each one. I liked them all, and they are all very similar, but there are also some very specific differences. Viva la difference.

Sex and Submission (Kink.com)

I began my relationship with Peter Acworth and Kink.com with the Hogtied site several years ago, when Peter was the rigger. It was nice, but it was all bondage and vibrator or dildo-on-a-stick (and even a combination of the two) action. That wasn't bad, but the site drew the line at sex. I checked out all the Kink.com sites and they all stopped short of bondage sex. Then along came Sex and Submission and it was the first pay site that I saw that included bondage sex. And it was glorious.

Sex and Submission starts and ends each session with an interview (which I generally skip unless I am interested in the model). The sessions are broken into discrete parts, and the first and last part are the interviews. The intervening parts generally comprise separate ties and situations. I use a video combining program to combine them all into one long sequence, but it would be easy enough to just watch the sequences you like. I am obsessive-compulsive, though, so I have to have them all in sequence so I can fast-forward through the boring parts. Go figure. The sessions go one of two ways. Consensual bondage discipline and sex shoot, or role playing.

First, the shoots are mostly consensual bondage-discipline-sex. The model is bound in some extreme bondage ties, including suspensions of all kinds, hogties, AOH, spread-eagle, face up, face down, upside down, you name it. There are some very innovative ties. The feel of the session is that the rigger is doing his best to push the model's limits and the model is testing her endurance. There is master-submissive talk and punishment and discipline, including spanking and whipping and flogging. Electro-torment is rare. (Kink.com has a separate site that specializes in that: Wired Pussy)

Every once in a blue moon, one of the consensual bondage-discipline-sex shoots involves known adult industry performers, generally appearing with their current significant others. Stacy Burke did a memorable shoot with Big Daddy Brady that was interesting for a couple of reasons. First, Stacy seems to have a low tolerance threshold for a bondage model, making me think she mostly acts the part. Second, Big Daddy Brady seemed to be pushing her limits quite a bit during the shoot with some harder fucking than it looked like she wanted. (Mmm.) Then Ginger Lynn showed up for a session with Mark Davis. Ginger Lynn was my first porn crush but that was over 20 years ago and she was, well, 20 years younger then.

In the main, though, the Sex and Submission models are maybe three-fourths BDSM performers and one-fourth newbies. A disappointing majority of them are heavily tattooed, even the newbies. This is not unique to this site, though. They are for the most part professional performers and have that hard edge. It is difficult to believe, no matter how much noise they make, that they are being fucked hard enough or deep enough to actually be feeling the pain their cries would indicate. Some are better actors than others. But the fucking is usually nice and hard, and with the model bound in an uncomfortable position. Sex generally includes oral, vaginal and anal, although some performers specifically forbid anal penetration. Condom use depends on the model, but condoms are used more often than not (although not during oral sex).

Second, there is the occasional role-playing scenario. These are my favorites and naturally they are rare. Occasionally there is a role-playing scenario that is a consensual sex fantasy, which I feel is a cheat but what can you do. Sasha Grey did a role-play where she was a journalist who fantasized about being bound and fucked. It was kind of a cheat but she is so hot I enjoyed it anyway. My personal experience is that Sex and Submission does few role playing scenarios that include rape. Alas.

Sex and Submission is, as far as I am aware, always female domination (primarily a single model but sometimes more than one) by one or more males (although usually just a single male). And there is always bondage sex, hence the site name. The site had some standards early on that have more-or-less gone away. Originally there was no ejaculating on the model's face. That changed. There was a rule against the model crying. I think that may have changed but I am not certain. Condom use was a rule originally, and then changed to model preference.

There are several "regular" models who show up in the Kink.com pay sites, a few exclusively but usually they cross over between companies. The "usual suspects" are well represented by Bobbi Starr, Sasha Grey, Annette Schwarz, Lexi Belle and Amber Rayne, to name a few of my favorites. There is generally a single male (Mark Davis while I was a member), but sometimes there are guest riggers.

In summary, the site always has hard bondage and almost always has extremely hard fucking, although whether it is hard enough for the model to actually feel is questionable. I don't mean that to sound crass, but these are largely professional bondage sex models and they are probably used to every hole being penetrated by the largest cocks in the industry, so it is probably a matter of survival that they take it in stride. It does not diminish my enjoyment of the shoots, but this is not where I go to find first-time (or one-time) models straining to handle what they are being put through. Even the "first-time" models seem to have a higher level of tolerance. Gags are used maybe half the time.

Fucking Dungeon (Dungeonbank.com)

My first exposure to Ogre Kebneched and Dungeonbank was Society SM. It was a bad experience, because I was turned onto Society SM by a banner ad that featured Masuimi Max and after I paid my money to join I discovered no Masuimi Max. Apparently the site had crashed sometime before I joined and nothing was backed up, so it had started over just a few months previously. I was pissed. But then I followed Ashley Fires over to Perfect Slave and while that was mostly a Hogtied clone (hard bondage with dildo/vibrator penetration), I did like some of the models. So when Fucking Dungeon began, which was the Sex and Submission clone, I checked it out.

Fucking Dungeon is more of a role play scenario site. In most cases, the set up is that customers come in for bondage sex with models, kind of like a walk-in service where you order up a call girl to tie up and fuck. What, there are places like this in the US? I have got to get out of Texas. So these are almost always consensual, featuring models who are dungeon submissives. I cannot think of a single Fucking Dungeon shoot that was a rape role play, or even a nonconsensual sex role play. There is a lot of spanking, flogging and whipping,

The site features a few models who do not show up on the competing sites, but there are also a lot of the "usual suspects" who do shoots. The bondage does not tend to be as severe as Sex and Submission, although there are some unique rigs that Fucking Dungeon employs on a regular basis. One of my favorites is a metal tube device that holds the model spread-eagled with no support except a small back (or butt) pad and with the wrists and ankles tied out to posts. They are always right about pelvis height, which makes oral, anal and vaginal sex very easy. They can be face up or face down.

Something else I personally like about Fucking Dungeon is that one of the scenes almost always ends up on a bed, and every once in a while the model is actually bound spread-eagled and fucked. Sex and Submission rarely uses a conventional bed, and when it does the model is usually tied perpendicularly, with the ankles tied one to a head post and one to a foot post, and the same with the wrists. But Fucking Dungeon does it a lot more.

Once again, these are generally professional models/performers and look "harder" than, you know, the girl next door. Same observation as above, in that I doubt there is any real distress no matter what noises they make. But it is always hard bondage fucking. And there was one pleasant surprise, which was when Aurora Snow showed up for a bondage sex shoot with "Master Jay." Holly Wellin and Cindy Crawford also did Fucking Dungeon shoots.

In summary, this site is very similar to Sex and Submission, but in my estimation it has slightly less severe bondage. The fucking is just as hard, though. The role playing is almost always the dungeon submissive being used by a customer. I cannot think of a single shoot where the model cried tears. It seems to me there are fewer condoms as well. Facials are a regular feature. Gags are used more often than not.

Each shoot has a lot of high-quality photos, although generally fewer than Sex and Submission sessions. Fucked and Bound (Twisted Factory)

I discovered Fucked and Bound just a few months ago. I was aware of Chanta's Bitches, but I didn't know Chanta Rose had a site that competed with Sex and Submission and Fucking Dungeon. I am glad I found it.

There are more actual role playing shoots on this site than either Sex and Submission or Fucking Dungeon. They are not all role playing, but the ones that are sometimes have rape scenarios and sometimes have submissive sex slave scenarios. I prefer the former, of course. The scenes seem a bit grittier to me, the punishment seems more severe, the bondage a bit more raw, and the fucking a bit harder. I'm not sure they all are, but they sure seem like it.

The models are the "usual suspects" but some are unique to the Twisted Factory sites. I haven't seen any "special" guest models on this site. I keep hoping Gauge will show up on one of these and submit to some severe bondage fucking, you know? But probably not this one. The bondage rigs are generally comparable with the other two. The sets are more spare, but really what more do you need than a desk or barrel to bend the model over as you fuck the hell out of her. There is copious flogging, spanking and whipping. There is almost always oral, vaginal and anal penetration. Ejaculate always ends up somewhere visible, either on the face or somewhere on the model's body. I also saw tears on rare occasions.

In summary, Fucked and Bound seems just a bit edgier to me. Everything seems a bit harder and more severe. The role playing scenarios tend to have a higher violence potential.

I liked all three sites. Sex and Submission has the more intricate bondage setups and the most shoots for viewing. Fucking Dungeon seems to have prettier models by and large. Fucked and Bound seems to have harsher punishment, harder fucking, and more nonconsensual-oriented role play setups. But it is all a matter of degree, since they are all generally comparable.

On none of these sites will you see a rigger oiling up and then slowly working a glass rod into the ass of a cute and generally innocent looking anal virgin while she grits her teeth and cries out and curls her toes. That's Powershotz territory all the way.

A quick head's up: I have sent some clips from New Slave Island 2 to YouTied. Once they show up (they need to be encoded by MasterDetective), I will post my review. Like Ralphus, I wish I could crank out the reviews the way John Galt does but ultimately I have to work at my own Canadian pace.

As a longtime BDSM aficionado, I have developed a keen eye for spotting good material and separating the wheat from the chaff. There are some telltale signs that I look for when evaluating new material. In the few posted pictures for "Breaking Her Will," there are indicators that raise some doubt about this production. Two negative indicators are the loose, sloppy rope work and the loose-fitting ballgag. In my experience, productions about submission always turn out disappointing if so little attention is paid to details about the reality and effectiveness of the bondage. If producer and director don't know what good bondage looks like on woman, then they seldom get the torment part right either, regardless of the thespian skills of the actress.

Granted, there is scant evidence to tell for sure at this point. Heck, the final version of the movie hasn't even been edited. Perhaps, the pictures are publicity stills and not from actual filming. I can only hope that my initial concerns about "Breaking Her Will" are wrong. No one would be happier than I if that were the case.

Your reviews of the sex and submission sites seem spot on from what I have seen.

I've also subscribed to SocietySM and whilst I'm not a lover of the studio bound consensual type goings on at these places they sometimes offer an intensity that works for me (with a bit of editing). One particular clip from SocietySM stood out though, with Sasha Monet. This clip is describes at the link and is dated 05/25/2005.

Sasha has come to the studio for a bondage photo session and the rigging is to be done by someone not normally seen on camera. Some of the ties are awkward for Sasha and she's not happy. Also she does not like the rigger touching her, anywhere, and voices these feelings. Our regulars, Ogre and The Pope, get fed up with Sasha's protestations and take matters in their own hands. They start to tie her up the way they want and of course bung a ball gag in her mouth to shut her up. Meanwhile, we hear, off camera, the original rigger saying this was not what he'd agreed to and wants no more to do with it, presumably departing. Ogre and The Pope don't care: they continue molesting, tying and photographing Sasha and despite her objections there's nothing she can do about it.

What's unusual about this piece is that it seems very real. Whilst it doesn't go where I want it to go, I watched it two or three times because I couldn't believe it. It's in total contrast to everything else on the site.

I had no idea Sasha Grey ever did bondage. The first time I ever saw her, she totally rang my bell. So incredibly hot. Looks like she was a one-timer on the site, but it's still pretty exciting to see her tied up and tormented.

Every now and then, we get reviews of websites but since they're not actually movies, we've never put aside a special place on the site to archive those. You guys think that's a good idea? After all, so much of bondage porn is watched and downloaded online rather than the old way of actually buying films to play on their TVs. We've started to open up by allowing reviews of individual clips, so what do you think of having website reviews included alongside the movies? Worth taking the time or not?

I can tell you that if we do that, it won't be anytime soon. At this point, I'm more concerned with finding a way to save what we have now, and I can't even get into Tripod to preserve the pics while this popup issue is blocking everything I do. Funny you should mention overlooking gags in your review. I am not a big fan of gags myself and I don't really tend to notice whether they are used or not (unless they are overused). It was only after I read Brutus' comment regarding the Titsman site that I went back and mentioned the use of gags in my review of S&S, FUD and F&B. I'll have to remember to note gag use in the future so as to properly enlighten Brutus and other gag aficionados.

pvdadp: I had not seen Elite Pain or Mood. Thanks for linking to them. From what I can tell, they look a lot like the old Insex, which was way too much physical torture and abuse for me. I prefer to inflict pain (or watch pain being inflicted) that does not leave permanent marks or scars. Or even marks that take a week or two to heal. During the ride, he pulls into a secluded area, brandishes a knife, and gets her to put on the mask and the handcuffs, and he throws her in the trunk. This is an opening montage. I was talking to people about it at the horror convention and unanimously they were all intrigued. Oh yeah - forgot to mention, the movie also has Kathy Rice. Ralphus - using Internet Explorer I find the banner links last 10 seconds or so then are overwhelmed by the pop-ups every time. Attackers' New Slave Island 2 might be remembered as the one that returned the dog bowl scenes to Slave Island movies but lost the ball gags (not one gag in the whole thing). New Slave Island 2 is a solid effort -- it has an attractive cast and a number of credible scenes. Unfortunately, the film never quite achieves that old Slave Island greatness and seems to fizzle out toward the end. New Slave Island 2 is worth seeing but probably isn't a keeper.

For anyone new to the Slave Island movies, the premise is that attractive women are captured and taken to an island where they are placed in jail cells and forced to become sex slaves. The focus is on degradation and rape. I didn't entirely follow the plot in this one, but I think it had something to do with two young students who are visiting a spiritual woman at some sort of tropical retreat. All three women are captured and taken to Slave Island, where they are raped and tortured.

First hour

The spiritual woman, Miina, is the first to be captured. A villain sneaks up behind Miina in a garden area and chloroforms her. Miina, dressed in a red kimono, is next seen in a Slave Island cell, where she is chained arms over head and is passed out. Devout ageists like Ralphus may find this hard to believe, but 35-year-old Miina is probably the best looking woman in the film, with a beautiful face and nice, slender body. Anyway, the villain who always wears the white undershirt and blue track pants (Slave Island regulars know who I mean) arrives and decides to violate Miina. As Miina awakens, the villain opens the front of her kimono, so he can fondle and suck on Miina's tits. He also forces some kisses on the terrified Miina.

The villain then goes behind Miina, drops his pants and lifts Miina's kimono, and nails her in a standing position. After a bit, the villain unties Miina and moves her to the floor, where he rapes her in positions like doggie style and missionary. The villain removes Miina's kimono during the rapes and at times has Miina's hands cuffed behind her back. Miina cries in protest in moments that sometimes look wonderfully convincing. The villain briefly chokes Miina as he is raping her and also delivers some punishing slaps to her face.

Back at the tropical retreat, two pretty young students -- Hikari Hino and Rina Himekawa -- are relaxing in a pool. Unfortunately, their R and R is interrupted by two fiends who chloroform the ladies and take them away. When the young students wake up, they are lying in a Slave Island cell, still wearing their bikinis but with their hands cuffed behind their backs. At a nearby wall, pretty, young Riria Himesaki (who was already on Slave Island) is chained arms over head and is being whipped. Meanwhile, spiritual woman Miina is being walked around the cell like a dog.

The action focuses in on one of the students, Rina, a cute woman with a thin body and small, natural breasts. As one villain strips off Rina's bikini bottom and starts licking her pussy, another fiend lifts Rina's bikini top and plays with her tits. One villain then rapes squealing Rina in the missionary position, grabbing Rina's head and kissing her as he rocks her lithe body. Rina, whose hands are still cuffed behind her back, is also raped on her side and in a seated position, and then back to the missionary position, with Rina's body shaking rapidly as she gets drilled.

Rina's young friend, Hikari, has been chained arms over head near a wall. Blue-track-pants villain shows up and starts feeling up Hikari's slender body. The villain adjusts Hikari's bikini top to expose her right breast and he fondles her nipple. The villain unchains Hikari and moves her to the floor, on her back. The villain adjusts the bikini top to expose both of Hikari's enhanced (but OK looking) breasts and proceeds to suck her tits, as sexy Hikari squirms and struggles. Hikari is fairly pretty and her writhing and jerking is quite sexy. The villain removes Hikari's bikini bottom and takes her in positions such as doggie and reverse cowgirl, at one point removing the handcuffs. The rape finishes in a missionary position, with cum seeping out after the guy withdraws.

Rina is briefly violated again in a doggie style position, with her hands cuffed behind her back, and a villain holding her head while another guy rapes her.

Some weird stuff follows. The villains rub some type of plant ointment on the women, which appears to be an aphrodisiac that makes them want to ride floor-mounted dildos.

Second hour

Some villains use a large plastic needle to inject water into Riria's ass. Riria, whose wrists are cuffed behind her back, then kneels in front of a businessman and sucks him to completion, letting some cum dribble out of her mouth afterwards. The businessman slaps Riria's face and the kneeling slave then poops into a bowl (the pooping is heard but not shown).

In another cell, naked students Hikari and Rina are trained to be walked on all fours like dogs, with captors using leashes to make them walk on their hands and knees. Unfortunately there's no whipping here, although Rina's ass is spanked to make her comply.

In one of the movie's best scenes, long and lean Riria Himesaki is bound to a gym mat and gang raped. While the sixth guy is porking Riria, a bowl is placed in front of her and Riria is forced to eat like a dog.

Hikari, whose wrists are cuffed behind her back, is visited in a cell by a female villainess who makes the kneeling Hikari suck a floor-mounted dildo and then eat from a dog bowl.

Some forced lesbian follows, as two villains make Hikari and Rina kneel facing each other, with each young woman's wrists tied behind her back. Rina is forced to suck on Hikari's left breast, making Hikari squirm and shudder. Then, Hikari has to suck on whimpering Rina's right breast. Finally, the two young lovelies are forced to kiss in a brief moment that is much too short.

More bizarre stuff: the spiritual woman Miina, who is riding a villain in the reverse cowgirl position, has her wrists freed and is handed her musical instrument (a Japanese shamisen, I believe, which is a three-stringed instrument that resembles a banjo). As she continues to ride the one villain and is forced to blow another, she must also play the shamisen.

Young student Rina, whose hands are cuffed behind her back, is forced to blow a guy. The villain then dinks Rina doggie style and in other positions, including standing. After the guy cums in Rina's pussy, Rina kneels in front of him and licks the final drops off his dick.

Final half hour

Hikari goes through similar motions. She is forced to suck a guy, who then rapes her in various positions -- the best being missionary style, as the villain forces kisses on Hikari's mouth and sucks on her large breasts. The guy cums in Hikari's pussy and then forces Hikari to kneel in front of him and deep throat him.

Students Hikari and Rina are next seen near a wall, with their arms chained over their heads. I have a theory that the best Slave Island movies are a combination of great story, great photography and editing, and star power -- beautiful Japanese porn actresses who can really sell their scenes. Think of stars like Ayumu Kase in Slave Island 7 and Luna Akatsuki in Slave Island 11. In New Slave Island 2, we seem to be dealing with B-Listers -- actresses who are attractive and credible but whose performances are never outstanding. New Slave Island 2 is good and arguably better than most films available today, but it falls a bit short of expectations.

I'm thinking if they are individually available, whether as DVDs or downloadable clips, it might be viable since readers could pick and choose. But having to pay for a membership is different. A Canadian: I am struggling to decide whether or not I would like the Slave Island videos. My fear is that, personally, I will find them too repetitious. One of the reasons I don't watch traditional porn much is that it reached a point where there was the thinnest of plot lines that simply served to set up sex, which then went on and on and on. I wasn't excited by just watching the in-and-out motion, despite sometimes innovative and inventive positions and frequently attractive females. Plus, it was monotonous listening to "oh god" and "uhh uhh uhh" and "oh yeah baby fuck me" and "mmm" and detecting not a shred of authenticity in the activity.

The advantage of mainstream movies with torture, sex, or rape scenes is that they featured performers who could usually act, and they employed dramatic techniques to build suspense or anticipation, and generally built to a climactic moment. The disadvantage, of course, is that the climactic moment happened a few seconds after the scene ended on screen or happened off screen. Or if there was a pay-off on-screen, it was limited to an R-rating and it was far too brief. And usually featured a body double.

The Slave Island clips I've seen (that you have been so considerate as to post on YouTied) indicate that the women are attractive, but there's a monotony of reaction. Just a constant crying while interchangeable men move from hole to hole and cycle through, basically doing the same thing over and over. The scenes don't seem to build to any climax of any sort. Not even the traditional climax of male ejaculation, since there are so many guys and they are always coming separately all over the place. There doesn't seem to be an imminent threat of any sort to the women. Rape is a given. They just get raped, and then get raped again, and then, you know, get raped again. Even if the girls are good enough performers to sell being brutally raped, even a real rape victim probably would become desensitized and unresponsive after the third or fourth guy did her. And repeated abuse would surely lose its edge.

That is also why I am a bit ambivalent about the new Bill Zebub movie. It sounds kind of like a long, monotonous degradation procedural. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I appreciate a beautiful woman being stripped and tortured and raped as much as the next perv. I just crave build-up and climax.

I like the Powershotz clips because, as I've indicated, the amateur models often seem to be feeling what is being done to them. My favorite clips from the web sites I've mentioned previously are the ones where the performer is actually in the scene, experiencing the moment, feeling pain or discomfort and actually achieving orgasm after a great teasing build-up. It doesn't happen near enough, but it does happen occasionally. As for John Galt's questions, I'll try to answer as best I can and then invite others to join in, as many of us have seen the Slave Island movies.

In my view, the best of the Slave Island movies don't necessarily feel repetitive, even though some scenes are repeated, because there is a nice variety in the types of scenes offered and the best movies have a great pace to them. That's not true for all of them, though. Some Slave Island movies can feel repetitive and I think New Slave Island 2 is probably in that category.

The movies don't have a sense of imminent threat, as the women tend to be captured early and put through their paces early. But in the best of the titles, you do empathize with lead star (and sometimes the supporting victims) as you see her will being broken. Indeed, that's the real strength of the Slave Island films. In the best of the titles, the lead heroine puts up quite a fight in the beginning, but you watch (sometimes for more than three hours) as the villains break her spirit and turn her into a sex slave.

I'm biased, but I think everyone should try at least one Slave Island movie. If you want to start at the top, the best title in my view is Slave Island 11. Other strong titles include Slave Island 7, Slave Island 5, Slave Island 8 and Slave Island 12.

One side note: New Slave Island 2 clearly has its fans. It is at the top of the list in the Attackers listing of bestselling movies.

Rating: Mixed. A for visuals and storyline. B- for execution.

How you react to this DVD will depend on whether you like coercion, how rough you like the BDSM, and if you think Morgan March is a hottie. I do, so this movie gets upped in the ratings based just on her appearance.

Imagine my surprise when I saw my local video store was carrying a Sex & Submission DVD. And starring Morgan March. She's so cute I would be fascinated watching an hour of her just reading a book.

The movie starts really slow, taking about 25 minutes just to do the setup. Basic plotline, Morgan March is a secretary in a shipping company. She dresses super slutty. Her male co-workers can't keep their hands off her, groping her and pestering her for dates. (This company apparently has never heard of sexual harassment). Her female co-workers despise her for all the attention the males give her.

Unbeknownst to anyone, she has been quietly making extra dollars by shipping illegal drugs through the company. One morning she comes in early to package up some coke in a shipping box and mail it. The boss happens to be checking the surveillance tapes that day and sees this activity from that morning. He locates the box she prepped, which hasn't gone out yet. Busted! At the end of the day when everyone is gone he calls her into his office and gives her a choice - either he calls the cops and she goes to jail, or she gets out of it by being his sex slave. She reluctantly agrees to be his sex slave.

The movie visually is filmed and lit very nicely, so that's a plus. Another plus is that Morgan March gives good pout. She frequently objects and is coerced again and again into continuing the game.

First action scene (finally) he has her disrobe, stretch, spread her ass cheeks. Then he ties her with black tape sitting in a chair with her legs pulled up. I think he gives her a little vibrator action, I can't remember, or maybe it was cunnilingus. He does that to her a lot in this movie - the fact that there is some sexual conduct is another plus for me.

Another couple of scenes in the office. One, she is tied standing up in front of a bookcase. The other, she is tied flat on her back on a table. The movie is disjointed in that it doesn't always show the tying, which is a shame. But when it does show it, that works well.

Then he smuggles her into his apartment. She's tied up and half naked and he has her jump like a bunny rabbit into his place. Morgan has very tiny tits (one of the things I like about her, I love a tight, taut woman's body) so even though there's little bouncing from her jumping she still looks cute and humiliated doing it.

He plays with her on the couch for a while as she is tied up and ball gagged while they watch a porno. Then he spanks her. At one point he asks her if she likes sex soft or rough, and she quietly admits she likes it rough. (As noted, she sells coerced poutiness well).

Next scene is the best scene. He takes into the bedroom and ties her spreadeagle on the bed. He eats her out for a while, then loosens his pants and climbs on top of her and implies fucking her really, really hard. I say "implies" because it's shot from the back and you see no actual insertion or contact. Still, the scene is sexy.

And then ... the movie ends - wait for Part II! Just as it was getting good. I have seen clips from Part II on the web and they look more hardcore, so I doubt my local video store will carry it. But if anyone ever does see Part II, it would be interesting to read your follow-up review to mine.

Morgan March looks great tied up. On that basis alone, most of this movie was a winner for me. And I love psychological head games so the wavering coercion that she sold so well worked for me. Add that the visual quality of the movie was attractive, fetishy, bright, etc all add up to pluses.

The minuses were wasting so much time drawing out the setup and the movie itself (to purposely create a need for a Part II?) and the fact that this was pretty tame for a Sex & Submission movie. I expect Part II would be a lot less tame.

So an A- rating if you like Morgan. Much less than that for the way the movie was executed.

Since an overall view of the storyline can be found on the Video Mayhem website I wont spend the time recapping I'll just give you my impressions. The good points:

(1) It's only 12 bucks from VM and it's about 2 hours long

(2) There are some nice tied scenes, ball gags, full nudity, clothespins on nipples and pussy

(3) If you're into girl on girl action there is some of that in the first movie - not my thing unless they are dealing out some pain and they're not

The not so good:

(1) This has a home movie feel to it. The sound is poor and there is a constant hum in the background, more noticeable in the first movie. The image quality is like 2nd generation VHS. I don't mind home movies if the action is REAL - this obviously is not which brings me to..:

(2) Like ZFX, the whips and such are fake and though the actresses do their best to sell it- nice screams and such, it is so fake it fails to arouse. There is one brief scene in movie 2 where he uses battery cables on her tits but there are no sound effects and no sparks - just doesn't work.

(3) The actions of the male in the first movie are simply ridiculous and don't fit the thin plot line. He treats his captive more like a lesbian dom gently teasing her captive. He uses one of those sticks with a tiny piece of leather on it and taps at her like he's teasing her. Are you kidding me? You're trying to torture this bitch to get your money back not arouse her!

(4) There are long periods when nothing happens. Shots of the girls tied up but no action.

Final verdict - didn't do anything for me. Maybe I'm jaded from the Japanese movies VM provides or the excellent work of ZFX in SOB4, Ballista 2, etc but this is not a keeper for me. My grade is a C at best.

So I will be reviewing the DVDs, which may be one or two movies. I'm not expecting great things, but it is always helpful to know the stuff to avoid as well as the stuff to watch. This is a review of Something Weird Video's Sexy Shocker Hardcore Horrors Volume 9, which features two "Classic Adult" XXX movies, Sex Seance and Horror Whore.

Sex Seance (AKA House of de Sade) (1977)

You would think a XXX movie about a group of swingers who went to an old haunted house and summoned the spirit of the Marquis de Sade in a seance would make for some good GIMP. Well, if the name of that movie turns out to be Sex Seance, you would be wrong.

Sex Seance stars Vanessa del Rio and several other unattractive performers. They all have 70s pubic and facial hair, and 70s clothes on the rare occasions when they are dressed. Every day I thank god there are so few pictures of me from the 70s because I probably dressed like this as well.

As far as GIMP-like scenes go, there are surprisingly few. There is a scene where Vanessa del Rio and her boyfriend are having sex where he fastens a large black leather collar around her neck that has a chain attached. He kind of pulls her around by the chain, making her crawl on all fours. He half-heartedly spanks her. Then he fucks her with a cucumber. But that's not the weird part. The weird part is when he takes the vegetable peeler and peels the end of the cucumber while it is sticking out of her vagina. Then he takes a knife and cuts several slices off the end and feeds her the pieces. If this was the Vegetables in Merciless Peril forum, this would get a high score. What a stupid scene.

When they finally get to the house and summon the spirit of the Marquis de Sade (I am skipping all the random 70s style sex), the spirit grabs Vanessa del Rio and spirits (HAhahahaha) her away to a room where she struggles unconvincingly and says inane things ("Oh, pain! Pain!") while she is weakly whacked with what looks and sounds like one of those cardboard tubes you are left with when you use up your roll of paper towels, and a flogger, and she is spanked. Oh yeah, they also attach nipple clamps to her big floppy breasts and rubbery nipples. It is a pathetic scene, and this de Sade needs to turn in his BDSM membership card if that's the best he can do.

The others decide to "split up" and go looking for her and they all end up in a lame orgy together when the movie abruptly ends. I'm thinking the original VHS video tape broke at this point during the transfer and they decided it was close enough to the end to just move on.

The video quality sucks. The sound quality sucks. There are obvious scene jumps that were either sloppy editing originally or sloppy editing by Something Weird Video. There is nothing of interest here. No bondage to speak of. No torture. No gags. Lame whipping. I firmly believe that any movie that dares to feature the Marquis de Sade and fails to produce at least one good GIMP scene deserves an F. This movie gets an F-.

Horror Whore (AKA Hardgore, Hard Gore and Sadoasylum) (1974)

The second feature on this DVD is Horror Whore, which was titled Hard Gore the first time I saw it years ago. The VHS copy I originally watched was poor quality, so I thought I might be able to get a better feel for the movie from this DVD. Unfortunately, I think the folks at Something Weird Video used that same copy for this DVD transfer, so no joy.

Once again, the set up sounds promising. A nymphomaniac with masochistic tendencies is checked into a sanitarium run by devil worshipers who have brutal orgies and conduct human sacrifices. Does that sound like it could be great? And it is XXX as well. Even better? You think? Prepare to be discouraged.

Maria, the masochistic nymphomaniac, checks in. There is random lesbian sex, random masturbation, and random heterosexual sex throughout, none of it particularly appealing. None of these performers are attractive. The women are all on the chunky side, and Maria kind of pancakes out when she lays on her back. And I don't mean just her breasts pancake out. The only person I recognized in the entire cast was "John Seeman," who was a fixture in a LOT of bad 70s porn flicks.

So Maria wakes up in the night and finds her nurse dead. She runs screaming naked down the hall until she is grabbed by an orderly. Next thing, she's on her back on a bed or an altar or something being felt up by two girls while she's sucking off two guys. One guy's cock is cut off with a knife while she's sucking it. Yuck and ouch, not necessarily in that order.

She wakes up the next morning and the doctor tells her she had a bad dream. He prescribes vibrator therapy and she and naked nurse Lucy get down with that until a mysterious hand cranks up the dial on the electrical box the vibrator is wired into and it starts smoking. In Nurse Lucy's snatch. And she can't seem to pull it out. There is lame exclamatory dialog. ("Oh! Call the doctor! Call the fire department!") You can't see me but I am rolling my eyes.

That night, masochistic nymphomaniac Maria hears noises. She investigates. She sees Lucy drink from the "magic grail," then fellate a guy wearing a devil mask that looks like a tomato, complete with a leafy green collar. Lucy sucks him off and he blows a massive amount of semen onto her face. And when I say a massive amount, I am talking about a ZFX fake penis gushing amount. Then, as a reward, the devil mask guy tells Lucy she gets to experience the "ultimate orgasm" and she walks over to a guillotine. She bends over at the waist and puts her head into the stock, which is closed over the back of her neck. Another guy in a mask starts to fuck her from behind until he gets his steam up, then he releases the blade and it slices down and cuts her head off and he comes all over her butt, which is unaccountably still standing up. That sounds like it might have been a GIMP-worthy scene, but it just didn't play right. There was no suspense. There was no fear or panic from the girl. There was no real build-up. There wasn't even much of a climax.

Maria wakes up the next day, with cloth restraints around her wrists keeping her in bed. She is sedated. She wakes up that night, no longer restrained, and sneaks out and overhears the doctor planning to kill her in some spectacular way. She makes a noise and they catch her and take her to "The Room," where we see all the dead nurses. Maria briefly struggles but then gets it on with the doctor. The other guy fucks a corpse while humming a happy tune. I am not even trying to make sense of this any more.

After the doctor finishes with Maria, he ties her AOH in "The Room," and we are subjected to some bizarre imagery, including a talking penis (with a surprisingly deep voice), a Jesus penis, the tomato headed devil mask blowing smoke from one of its nostrils, and three rocket-powered penis dildo things hanging by visible wires with sparkler flames shooting out their, umm, asses I guess. The camera moves to suggest they sort of fly around but really they are just hanging there, eventually losing their sparkles, while Maria ducks her head like they are swooping down on her or something. Then they start squirting semen onto Maria. Like, gallons of semen. More in this one scene than Rick Masters uses in an entire movie.

Maria wakes up the next day and she's given an aphrodisiac (an inspired treatment for a nymphomaniac) and maybe a sedative but the sound is so muddy I couldn't make it out. She pours the drink into the toilet and then sits on the toilet and pees and then wipes herself and flushes the toilet. The filmmaker keeping it real, I guess.

Next thing we know, we are in the thick of yet another orgy. Maria is sucking off the tomato headed devil mask guy. When she's done, he invites her to experience the "ultimate orgasm" of the guillotine, but since she is not drugged, she grabs a huge battle ax and kills the devil mask guy and, I think, the corpse fucker, before she is beaten to death. The scene fades with Maria dead, a lighted curved candle sticking out of her pussy.

The sound quality on this transfer is abysmal. The video quality is little better. I didn't expect an award-winning storyline or even decent acting, but I was kind of hoping for some GIMP seeing as how we had a masochistic nymphomaniac at the mercy of a bunch of devil worshiping human sacrifice weirdos in a XXX movie. It completely and utterly fails on all levels. Bondage almost nonexistent. No gags that I recall. No torture. And a beheading sex scene that could have been awesome in the hands of a True Pervert but totally flops here. I wonder what the filmmaker was going for when he made this movie? It is a mystery to me. This is an F.

I didn't know that Sex and Submission put out DVDs; that's news to me. Unfortunately, it looks like they're not bold enough to release bondage and actual penetration to the DVD market; that type of material I guess will have to still be for their paying members. Still, sounds like a good way to introduce their wares to a different audience. They'll probably pick up some new members that way.

I'm pretty sure one of those is the movie I've mentioned a few times that had Bitter Sweet Persuasion's Suzi Sexton in the lead role, made a year before BSP and also filmed at the Lickety Split adult bookstore. Except that Suzi was covered in tattoos so I mostly just fast-forwarded through it because of that.

Travis is a good guy and he obviously worked with the best since Rick Masters used him in dozens of ZFX movies. You have to admire him for wanting to make his own bondage films, but very few people can match the level of Rick's work, even if you're using the same actress in the same location.

Now this is kind of interesting. Whenever I find some obscure old adult movie, I try to look it up on the Internet Movie Database (IMDB) and I never can find it. I look under the title, I look under the performers, I even check out alternate titles if I know them. No hits. But when I google for the movie, one of the first hits is usually IMDB. I'm thinking that IMDB needs to use Google as its search engine because the one they are using sucks big time.

So it was with this movie. I came across it at Bizarro Video, where it is available as a download to members or as a DVD for $17.95. I would link to the DVD page, but Bizarro Video doesn't work like that. It is in the Grindhouse XXX pages. It is also available from Alpha Blue Archives as part of The Roughies: Brute Lust, a collection of 12 full-length "uncut" DVD movies for $129.95.

The Abduction of Lorelei (1977)

The Abduction of Lorelei is a XXX grindhouse flick starring Serena (using the name Jenn Gillian, for some reason) and John Galt (not me and no relation). It involves the abduction of Lorelei and her subsequent ransoming. Serena was known for doing some rough stuff, so I thought maybe this might be worthwhile.

The movie begins with Serena shopping. She gets kidnapped pretty quickly. See, she pulls up her car into the middle of a deserted parking lot and doesn't think it's strange when a big white step van and a Ford Mustang each pull up on each side of her, even though there are empty parking spaces for, like, miles around. She gets out of her car and is grabbed by two guys, who manhandle her into the van. One of the kidnapper guys looks like Barry Gibb back in the day, by the way.

Serena puts up a pretty good fight. Her wrists are bound in front of her using rope and while one guy (the one who looks like Barry Gibb) drives the van back to "the hideout," the other guy tears at her clothes and pretty much exposes her and fingers her and eats her out and makes her suck him off except it looks a lot like XXX inserts instead of the Real Thing. I don't get it. Serena is an adult performer so why would she not do her own sex scene close-ups? Maybe they added them in post-production. The rape scene in the van is not satisfying. Serena is kind of fighting but not really. The guy rolls her body into strange contorted positions so her can lick her pussy from innovative angles. It was sort of like they were just trying to do things you don't normally see and frankly would never normally care to do.

They get to the hideout and the kidnappers (two guys and a girl) wrestle Serena into the house and onto the bed. She halfway fights them as they do it, but with her hands tied in front of her like that she could have been whacking the hell out of them. And even though one person each took one leg, she could have kicked the shit out of them as well. I guess maybe she didn't want them to drop her.

They toss her on the bed and tie her ankles together and then raise her feet up into the air over her head and take ransom Polaroid pictures of her with her sex exposed. (Polaroids are what people did for dirty pictures before digital cameras.) The kidnappers even kind of pose with her and her sex, which if you are taking notes about doing your own abduction is not a great idea. They also push an empty Dr Pepper bottle into her vagina and take pictures of that. I'll bet Dr Pepper did not pay for that product placement.

They leave her tied up on the bed, her hands tied in front of her, and she stays there. Okay, you know, use your teeth to help untie the hand ropes and use your hands, even if they are still tied together, to undo your feet bonds. That's like the first thing you learn in Hostage Escape 101. So minus points for that oversight. Her arms should have been pulled over her head and tied to the top of the bed and her feet should have been pulled to the foot of the bed and bound there. But no. A potentially good bondage scene ruined.

The girl kidnapper returns to clean her up and promptly unties her hands and feet and goes down on her and before you know it we have "69" (the position, not the year) lesbian sex going on.

Next scene of significance, we see Serena sitting at the kitchen table being fed soup by the girl kidnapper because her hands are still tied in front of her. You know, she could feed herself even with her hands tied like that. Eventually, the girl kidnapper unties her hands. Then they have more lesbian sex, with Serena as a fully willing participant. The Stockholm Syndrome doesn't usually work quite this quickly.

The kidnappers get their money and celebrate and everyone drinks a lot and falls asleep except for Barry Gibb. He goes to Serena's room, where she is sleeping naked on top of the bedspread, untied, just a few feet away from a sliding glass door through which she could have fled while all the drinking was going on. He wakes her and takes hold of her ankles and pulls her feet up and apart and moves up between her legs and she struggles and I had forgotten how hot Serena could look with her long slender legs up in the air and wide apart. She struggles. The other guy kidnapper awakens from his drunken stupor and follows the sounds of screaming to the room and pulls Barry Gibb off of Serena before he gets too far. A fight ensues. Barry Gibb is shot and dies.

Serena wraps her lithe naked body around the guy who did the shooting and as a reward she pulls him to the bed and commiserates with him and says it'll be okay and then they fuck like bunnies. First in missionary, then he rolls her over and attempts penetration from the rear, but he is too limp so Serena sucks his cock for a while to restore some wood and then she straddles him and manages to get him inside of her. He finally gets her bent over on her knees and does her doggie style, although he still looks pretty limp to me. This scene has no violence or bondage or even any heat for that matter. Still, Serena graciously makes noises like she actually feels him.

Afterwards, he gets up and lights up a cigarette and Serena picks up the gun sitting on the nightstand and shoots him. She gets dressed, drives the Mustang out past a Shakey's Pizza Parlor to the Holiday Inn and picks up the girl kidnapper, who has the briefcase full of money and they do a Meaningful Lesbian Kiss With Fully Extended Tongue in silhouette to let us know it's True Love. The end.

So a not-completely-lame kidnapping scene, and a not-completely-lame rape scene, but bondage that wouldn't hold anyone. No gags. Lots of ho-hum sex, mostly of the lesbian variety. Not that there's anything wrong with that. And Serena really was pretty hot. So I'm going to be nice and give this a D+.

I've seen The Abduction of Lorelei and actually took about 15 minutes from it in my highlights tape, but that was mainly just the abduction and the following scene on the bed culminating with the Dr Pepper bottle in the snatch pics. I liked the humiliation and the degrading dialogue, but you're right, after that, there really wasn't much of anything there. Kind of a disappointment since Serena was one of the more attractive and kinkier performers of the era, but I thought it was a worthwhile buy at the time.

I've been thinking, could it be that a lot of the so-called "classics" of the Golden Age of porn from the 1970s and 80s weren't really all that great looking back? Certainly they had more freedom back then, but they definitely didn't have the truly beautiful women that are into porn these days. People like Marilyn Chambers, Georgina Spelvin and Linda Lovelace were considered superstars back then and I doubt many of them would even be employable if they were just starting their careers today. I would love to use a time machine and whisk someone like Sasha Grey back to the 1970s and have them make these films over again. I have the feeling they would stand up better to the test of time, especially the rape scenes. It all goes back to the question: Are there any truly great adult films with GIMP themes out there?

However, Ralphus, I agree with you, Linda Lovelace, and some of the others of the era leave something to be desired. However, Marilyn Chambers, in her early films was IMO, something to behold. But of all the starlets from that era, Annette Haven was in a class all by herself.

The other important thing to note about the early starlets of the Porn Age - most were natural, and not "enhanced" to ridiculous proportions - only my opinion, but there definitely can be "too much" of a good thing. On a slightly different level, comparing eras, the old Cole Whitman, HOM releases were in a class by themselves. The only thing that comes close are the ZFX releases of Rick.

Considering when the old HOM were done, it is amazing what they accomplished - and for the time - they had really attractive girls in their movies. Everything considered, I still think the "best" of the oldies were outstanding, comparable to anything done today.

Marilyn Chambers, as Falstaff mentioned, was pretty hot in her earlier movies, though. Which brings to mind Behind the Green Door, which as I recall was one of the first adult flicks with a sort-of nonconsensual sex and bondage theme I ever saw, if not the first one. I haven't seen it in years, but as I think back now I don't remember any blatant nonconsensual sex or even bondage. Memories are funny.

Annette Haven was pretty hot, but I didn't see a whole lot of movies with her in them, so she didn't really register for me. According to Wikipedia, she specifically avoided bondage movies, which might explain why she ended up on the periphery of my XXX actress radar. (Although that article did mention that she did some "fetish" videos with dominatrix Kim Wylde in the mid-90s so I wonder what that was about. Hmm.)

While I was in Wikipedia, I decided to see what information they had on early porn stars and came across a List of female porn stars by decade. I have to say, out of the 29 actresses listed for the 70s, there were only 3 (Desiree Cousteau, Kandy Barbour, Marilyn Chambers) that I looked for in movies. Seka was borderline. I unaccountably missed out on seeing The Opening of Misty Beethoven when it showed, so Constance Money was never a draw for me. She did so few XXX features that never saw her, until the GIMP banner showing her bound spreadeagled. Dang.

Oddly, the list placed Serena in the 80s, although I am pretty sure she had some 70's stuff. When I think of XXX performer "generations," I think more in terms of movie-versus-video than decades. The video generation was more to my liking. During the 80s I was obsessed with Ginger Lynn and was so disappointed she never did any bondage stuff. During the 90s it was mostly Shayla LaVeaux and I was so happy she did do bondage stuff.

The list for the 2000s is significantly longer and all of the names I like, I notice, are bondage models or do a lot of bondage. I guess I know what I like. I am also a fan of "natural" looking performers instead of "enhanced" (the distinction Falstaff mentioned), and almost all of my favorites fit that category. Maybe the pendulum is swinging back that way.

There is also a quality to the 70s celluloid movies that I find unappealing, and which I found unappealing back then. They are typically shot in glow-in-the-dark brilliant color. In addition to the turn-off of extremely hairy genitalia, a beaver shot almost looked like an open wound it was so red. And the cinematic style was to get really close up. So there was this huge hairy bright red wet gash projected on-screen, frequently being roughly poked with big thick pink fingers or being licked at by a big 'ol reddish-pink tongue (usually emerging from a bearded-and-mustachioed mouth, so it was TWO big hairy crimson orifices fencing with each other) and that is probably the reason I didn't enjoy porn as much back then.

But that's a tale for another post.

Anyway, I'm not surprised that people can sometimes revisit old films and find they're not as great as people had remembered. As you get exposed to more and sometimes better material, your standards change.

Dare I say it, but in this current age of Attackers, I wonder how well some of the ZFX titles still hold up.

In the comments section for this clip from Slave Island 8, there is a comment that the Slave Island movies make zfx look boring. I have a Canadian friend who shares a similar view and while I don't personally think zfx has reached the point of being boring, I don't think it compares with my favorite Attackers films.

Indeed, I was surprised when I finally saw Night Prowler 5 as part of the Night Prowler 4 disc. For the longest time, I had heard about the great rape scene with lovely Candi Licks. Well, when I finally saw this scene, I was very disappointed. I don't know how the rape looked on VHS, but the scene on DVD was very dark (I mean lighting, not mood) and confusing. It was hard to see what was going on and watching the scene was not an enjoyable experience. Either something went wrong in the transfer of this scene or those of you who have memories of a terrific rape scene need to go back and revisit this one. Or maybe not -- why ruin a good memory?

Lovemyzfx: The Travis Lee movie was one that had always interested me, so your information is greatly appreciated. I think that Travis is in a tough spot. Given his connection to ZFX, I think maybe people expect him to create films at or near the same level as Rick. And no one really has achieved that IMHO.

zee-ef-ex: That would be good news if Sex and Submission (or SocietySM) is available at video stores. I enjoyed your review, and "Jail or Slavery" has one other thing that is very important for me: a reason for tormenting the victim.

Actresses in the Golden Oldies vs. modern porn: Interesting topic. I think the rise of the Internet has made the comparison unfair. I have no numbers, but the spread of Net porn must translate into a huge increase in the number of actresses, and thus, a wider selection of women to choose from. But I would venture to guess that the current ratio of hot babes to unattractive women in the industry might be similar to that of the 1970s and 80s. Of course, that would be impossible to prove. My theory is based on the multitude of websites I've stumbled across that featured some downright horrendous looking women. Some interesting stats on Internet porn here.

Of course, I'm no expert on the current state of the porn industry since I have not watched a vanilla film in over a decade. But from some of the pictures I've seen of the top stars of today, I'd say I might even prefer the more natural look of some of the actresses from the past. Annette Haven and Constance Money have been mentioned. I'd also throw in Bridgette Monet, Joanna Storm, Abigail Clayton and Kelly Nichols. They just didn't look so fake. Another thing is that the stars of the past seemed to have more acting ability, at least compared to most of the actresses in the bondage films I've seen.

Serena was my favorite actress of the Golden Age because she was so sluttily hot and didn't seem to shy away from the rougher scenes. And yes, John Galt, Serena was definitely active in the late-1970s. I read somewhere that she was dating Jamie Gillis in real life, or maybe they were married, and that her career skidded to a halt because of an STD.

A Canadian: I have seen many, many Japanese films and I still prefer ZFX. I think the difference in our opinions may be our personal preferences: rape versus torture. For me, rape scenes don't do much unless the victim is tied down and gagged. And even then, I'd probably still prefer a good old whipping or shock treatment. That being said, I have seen Japanese films (Attackers and other studios) that are only about torture. Yet they lack the campy elements I so enjoy in ZFX films.

I feel that the Golden Age of PORN had much better actors and actresses then those of today and I feel that they would put the present group out of business if they were in their prime now.

Yes I think those movies would do well now and the stars would have the smae success. And Iwish they would make movies today with that type of quality in bondage and rape scenes.

Hmm. Well as I have indicated, I do not think the old films have aged well at all, visually speaking. I am not so sure the old porn films' content holds up either. I did not see all that many XXX features in theaters. Most of the ones I saw were released later on VHS tapes, and sometimes the transfers left a lot to be desired. There were sloppy cuts and muddy sound and disconcerting jumps and dialog not synced with the action. All of those may have been sloppy production (originally) or sloppy transfer, but those tapes were all I had to go on.

The clip from Femmes de Sade is a prime example. It had a very gritty look to it. The sound was terrible. The voice-overs were blatantly obvious. It felt like a dirty little porn movie. It had a great rape scene, but with higher production values and more careful filming and editing it could have been awesome. The acting was not great, and (personally) I felt there was no emotional investment. Watching the scene, I didn't think the girl was getting raped. I thought the actress was pretending to get raped, and you know, there's a difference.

Sure, I would kind of like to see Little Orphan Dusty, Sex Wish, Autobiography of a Flea, Naughty Victorians/A Man With A Maid, Dirty Western, The Abduction of Lorelei, and a handful of others re-made with higher production values. Still, they were not as good as they could have been. I have to say that I never saw an adult movie that had the kind of raw brutality of a rape that matched the simulated rape(s) in I Spit on your Grave. Sex Wish and Dirty Western probably came closest, but not really. If the Golden Age of Porn had a wide-open field as far as bondage and rape scenes went, those scenes should have been better.

I have not watched a vanilla porn movie in years. The last one was Conquest, with Jenna Jameson and Shayla LaVeaux. It had pretty high production standards. It looked slick and felt professionally done, although it had some obvious flaws. But it was head and shoulders above any Golden Age of Porn movie I ever saw in every respect. I would love to see Barbara Broadcast re-made with today's production qualities and with the final bondage sex scene intact. That would be so cool. Gauge could take Constance Money's place. Or Sasha Grey. Yum.

As far as the performers go, I think some adult performers from the Golden Age of Porn were successful simply because they would do porn and their looks was a secondary consideration. There were some hot actresses, but there were a lot who were not.

The Internet has caused explosive growth in porn. It has also resulted in fewer adult performer superstars because there are so many, catering to many niche interests, that no one really stands out overall, although each niche has its own stars. It may be that the actual proportion of "hot" to "not" is the same as during the early 70's, but there are a lot more "hot" and "not" performers from which to choose. I'm sure every 70's era porn actress would be able to make it today, but none of them would stand out to the degree they did when the market was smaller.

Since I don't think the porn of the early 70's was really that great, I see no use in considering whether modern performers would do as well back then. However, I would like to see edgier adult films today, with the higher production values today's market demands. We are moving forward. Sex and Submission and the other similar BDSM sex web sites are treading into some new territory. It is a small step to go from BDSM sex role-playing of a kidnapping and rape or nonconsensual sex to making a BDSM sex movie with the same elements. We may never get that on DVD. It may only be available via download going forward. We may need to adapt with the times.

My two cents.

I think that in terms of good-looking women, the 70s were the Silver Age, but the 80s were the Golden Age. Angel Kelly, the Lynns (Ginger and Amber; Porche was more active in the 90s), Sharon Mitchell, Nina Hartley, Shauna Grant, Hyapatia Lee... These were the lovelies who got me off then and still do. (I realize I'm one of the few here who LOVES "vanilla" porn -- I'd rather see a totally consensual scene between two -- or more -- good-looking people than a half-assed bondage or rape scene . Heresy!)

I'm more pissed that we don't get nice nude death scenes in horror movies any more. The upside-down one in Hostel was nice, but there should have been more!

From what I remember, the films themselves, with the exception of one German one (one of three called 'Rape Shorts') failed to really deliver. I thought the acting was atrocious, the audio terrible, and whilst the scenarios started off quite well they never seemed to reach a satisfactory conclusion (and so, nor did I!). The only redeeming feature were the girls: some of them were the voluptuous types that I like.

Having said that, I can see that some on here would have liked the more extreme stuff I saw: a dildo with crossed wires being used in a pussy and drawing blood; a labium being nailed to a table; drawing pins; electric cables attached to labia etc.. Those images remain with me because I was quite stunned by them. I'd never imagined anything like that and couldn't believe anyone would willingly allow that done on them. I know better now of course, but anyway, none of that did or does anything for me. I also find it hard to believe that that would be allowed now (would it?).

A measure of those old films value to me as porn material is that I no longer have any of them and have no wish to see them again (except that one particular 'Rape Short')

Now I'm so used to the high quality of Japanese productions made with seemingly no compromises that most of the western material, including I'm afraid most zfx films, does nothing for me. There are too many restrictions that prevent a decent film to be made.

So to answer the poll properly, firstly 'no', I don't think these films hold up well today; 'yes', the actresses could still do a job today; and 'yes' I would like to see today's stars do unrestricted bondage/rape films. But, I hold no hopes that it is ever going to happen on the same level as the Japanese adult film industry and therefore any western efforts won't interest me for the time being.

Insex did some pretty extreme things--much too extreme for my enjoyment in most cases. I haven't watched everything they did and cannot say exactly what they did do, but I watched one where a girl let them sew her lips closed. I think there's a good chance they did some of what you're talking about but I don't know for sure and really I have no great desire to find out. The original site was in operation for almost 8 years, as I recall, before it was forced to close in 2005. But the archives site linked above still makes the shoots available on a limited basis.

Hell, yeah. I'm pretty pissed about that, too! Or nice nude torture scenes. Or, come to think of it, much in the way of really hot nude scenes at all. But especially GIMP nude scenes (like the Hostel clip), which are few and far between.

#1, the women are EXTREMELY hot. You just can't find better looking women ANYWHERE on other rape/torture type websites, and many of them have natural breasts which makes it more innocent and hot to me...

#2 In many of the movies the women are actually crying or screaming (to a point), and you can actually see the look of fear in their eyes...
While it's true that the torture and the whipping is staged, this site is so much better than many of the sites out there.

For example, I don't mean any disrespect to any of the producers advertised on here, but, some of them just look so fake....If they stepped up to make the movies more realistic, it would make the moves that much enjoyable. They just look too consensual, and even on the stills that I've seen for the movies, the women are rarely crying, they are rarely screaming. They just don't ACT like they should if they were being raped/tortured in real life...Why is this??? Is it that hard to act???.... Now with this said, I can't stomach real torture like Insex or ElitePain.com, but I LOVE staged brutal rape and torture type scenes (as long as I know it's not real and the woman isn't really being hurt).... I do enjoy real welts from whipping though, which is why I love some of the Japanese Attackers movies so much....

I just hope brutalviolence.com doesn't wimp out on the quality of the movies like they started to do... with that said, I respect other's tastes regardless of whether I like it or not :)

I really lament that my only copy of it was damaged.

The one thing that did improve in their newer shows was the video quality, larger and more sharper than before. That was of small consultation, though, since the content of those new movies sucked.

I took a look at the preview titles they are featuring on their site, and there are some old favorites back again...nasty, meanspirited titles like Cross-Questioning, Regrettable Seduction and Paralysed Abuse. And there are some different movies there that weren't original BV titles when I was a member, so maybe they are making new ones along the same vein. I wonder if the older shows are available in the sharp new video format, too. It might be worth joining to acquire new copies, but I'm still leary. I was burned once by them once and I won't be as quick to join again unless they prove to me that their stuff is as good as it used to be.

And if they only do streaming now, you can definitely forget about it. I'm not going to pay for something I can't keep. Too bad they don't offer the downloadable movie trailers they used to have every week...those were the impetus for me to join in the first place.

The reason I liked their older site was mainly because of the nonconsensual nature of their storylines, which makes all the difference. I would have no problem with referring to their old content as "rape and torture" videos, which to my knowledge, you DON'T get with even the more hardcore bondage sites like Sex and Submission, Fucking Dungeon and Fucked and Bound. That's what I'm looking for in my bondage fantasies.

If I had time (which I seldom do anymore) I would review some of the individual shows they have on their site. With the pressure of having to release a new 20-minute long movie every week, obviously some weren't as good as others, but some of them are real classics, IMO. When they were good, they really went over the top in showing unique torture and rape scenarios.

I still have a lot of their old movie trailers, too. I was going to upload some of them to YouTied, but the problem is they are in Real Media format, which YouTied for some reason won't accept. Anyone know an easy way to convert them?

All due respect man. Seriously. You bring a lot to this forum when you post and you've made some very good movies that I like and still have. Nevertheless I have to disagree with a lot that you've said in your post. I hope you take these criticisms in stride as I'm really just trying to offer a helpful opinion.

I'm one of the fans of all things Blakemore. Curiosity Excited the Kat is still one of my favorites. From a technical sense, I do agree that nobody is putting out that style of bondage as well as yourself, but only from a technical sense, meaning the ropes are tight, the bondage is uncomfortable, lots of crotch ropes, etc. It certainly looks like Blakemore's stuff. But it doesn't feel like it, not to me anyway. To begin with, Whitman (ok, let's call him Whitman, not Blakemore), had a presence. He brought a lot to the drama of his works and seemed quite a threatening figure.

Don't take it badly Dan, but for me, you kind of spoil your own work by being in it. I'm sorry man, and I'm really not trying to offend. Also Whitman didn't keep the models gagged constantly and they often did a great job of projecting fear. It's hard to put into words, but when I watch CEtK or Bittersweet Revenge, or The Experiment, I feel like I'm seeing women in real peril with real fear. In your films I see a model struggling with an uncomfortable tie. Also a lot of your work suffers from background noise, hammering, even saws, etc. Finally, I often feel like your work (and ZFX films suffer from this too) all too often seem washed out, or slightly out of focus, or something. I'm not a film guy. All that plus the weird camera angles make me hesitate whenever I see new Dan-Hawke stuff. In my humble opinion Dan you are a 'purveyor of that style' only in the sense that you rig tightly with lots of crotch ropes. Nothing wrong with that, but you're still a far cry from a real Whitman production.

Course I do understand that Whitman had Renee Baker and a few others that could REALLY sell a scene. Whose to say what you could do with access that that kind of talent?

If Whitman ever released a line of DVD quality releases, either his old stuff sharpened up, or better yet, new stuff along the same lines, I'd gladly fork over $50 a copy.

Another group I belong to recently had a lengthy discussion about who Blakemore was and what had become of him but concluded that nobody knew. It would also improve my enjoyment of the films to know more about the girls.

I really only like films with some sort of storyline to them. There is something magical watching the girls walk/talk themselves into trouble - when they clearly knew what was going to happen to them.

I have collected some Dan Hawke stills from the news groups - but I never got the impression of a story line - so did not pursue site membership (or video sharing - it was too painful on a 28k modem). It may be relevant that the few sites that got money out of me were ones where I could get a really clear idea of what I was going to get before I paid up. Non-recurring membership and enough content to be good value.

Picking up on the Brutal Violence thread - I joined BV after downloading a free video from the net and enjoying it thoroughly. Many of their videos were excellent but I got a bit tired of the same formula after a while - first part story, second part rather unlikely torture - third part bondage sex. Not actually as good as The Experiment (HOM) but the better picture quality and sound made up for a lot.

Dan Hawke: Well you naturally will not get me talking about posts that are too long since I probably post some of the longest ones. I figure there's a scroll bar so anyone who doesn't want to slog through my posts can just take note of my name at the top and start scrolling down. The forum equivalent of the fast-forward button.

I missed out on a lot of early fetish and BDSM stuff because I never did get a projector when all the most interesting things seemed to be on 8mm. I can still remember ads for fetish loops and films that I really wanted to watch but circumstances prevented. I was so glad when VHS VCRs came along. Still, it was rare that I came across good BDSM stuff even in the rental sections of "adult" video stores. I think Bruce Seven and Kym Wilde were the video products I saw most often, and those were rare, and rarely edgy enough. I don't know of Blakemore/Whitman, although that is not to say I might not have seen some of his stuff and just not known. I'll have to look into that.

I am not as concerned with a plot so much as a sustained and believable video sequence. I am perfectly happy with a quickie setup during an abduction scene or even in some initial expository dialog before the GIMP kicks into high gear. I am not expecting a polished script, although it would be nice for performers to have a variety of responses instead of "uhh...uhh...uhh" or "no...no" or the other handful of standard victim sounds. And it is always nice when a performer sells a scene, and even nicer when the performer is involved and obviously testing her limits. So I am on-board with only minimal storyline unless more plot enhances the action.

Your web site is on my list of sites to check out, along with Sarge's. But I need to pace myself for financial reasons. My list has grown exponentially since I found this forum and its list of links. As you know from an earlier feature-length post of mine, I like S&S, F&B and FUD for the bondage sex, but really only a few updates from each make my Favorites List, and those always include role-playing (of nonconsensual sex or rape) or situations where I can tell the model is being pushed. I like the Powershotz clips where the models are being pushed, and since they are primarily amateurs, that happens a bit more frequently. I am really intrigued by Brutal Violence.

Good technically correct and strict bondage for its own sake is not high on my personal list of Things I Look For in a BDSM Site. I like the threat to the model of violence and nonconsensual sex or rape, and ideally the successful illusion of violence, nonconsensual sex or rape during the action. So that's what I am personally looking for in a BDSM product.

I am all for paying for products that I like, and I do believe producers have every right to profit from their labors. But I cannot resist playing devil's advocate with a question. You noted that any Blakemore/Whitman stuff that is out there for consumption does not profit the man in any way, and that technically those distributors are ripping him off. So how guilty would you feel about downloading any of that stuff for free, thereby ripping off the people who are ripping off Blakemore/Whitman?

And finally, I am also all in favor of you taking time to post your views and the history of BDSM. I generally only comment when I have something to say, but I am infrequently at a loss for words.

I'm sure it has. One of the unintended consequences of becoming an official GIMPer is discovering just how much stuff is out there -- and wanting it. You do have to learn to pace yourself.

Dan Hawke: You can add me to the list of people who would enjoy reading about the history of bondage movies. I've never seen a Whitman (Blakemore) film, as I don't think we can get his stuff in Canada. But I enjoy reading posts from the producers about the ideas that inspire their work. I think most people here feel the same way.

'Teddy Bear' is actually the term that came to mind. I didn't use it as it does us no good to be name calling here, much less to the producers that grace us with their presence. We've actually gone back and forth over this a bit quite a while back. I had mentioned Jenni Lee in The Rave as an example of something that didn't quite deliver, which was a big disappointment for you. Yes, her reactions were great, and she even cried (and no, I don't think she was faking). It's just that she seemed to be crying due to love taps from a teddy bear.

I'm complaining, but do keep in mind that I still have that flick, still watch it, and still enjoy it. Moreover, I've caught myself watching other flicks (B&DPleasures is particular) with poor rigging and wishing they had a Sarge or DH to learn em on how it's done. One point you do have is that many good scenes have too many cuts. Tourist Trap is a great example. Great ties, great acting, great models and hardly a single scene that lasts more than 10 seconds.

Dan Hawke: Welcome back from lurkdom; this place is always better whenever you stop by. You've been one of my favorite posters for a long time, and not only that, you're an icon in the business so whatever you have to say is going to be appreciated, even if we don't always respond as often as you'd like.

Just remember you don't have to write a book every time you post. I know Rick Masters has told me he doesn't post as often as he would like because he feels it takes too long to type up a long post. I'll tell you what I told him: It's quality not quantity. Even a few sentences every now and then goes a long way. Besides that, long posts are kind of overwhelming to read, and I know they take a long time to write, too. Posting shouldn't have to be a chore. If you have time and want to write a long post, go ahead. But don't feel like you're required to. No one needs to dethrone The Canadian King of Verbose, although John Galt sure comes close.

I had heard rumors that Whitman was dead, but I also heard that Sgt. Major was going to be working with him, so I wasn't sure what to believe. I was thinking that Blakemore must have been a different guy than Whitman, but now I guess they were truly the same man. Very interesting stuff indeed. Whitman is as close to a living legend as we have in this fetish (especially if he truly is living). He's sort of the bondage equivalent to J. D. Salinger, highly respected but mysterious and reclusive at the same time. I had just assumed he had been dead for years. If you have any stories to relate about him, please pass them on. This is quite a scoop.

John Galt: I can't explain who Whitman was as well as someone like Dan, but you've definitely seen his stuff. He's the one behind all those great House of Milan bondage stills and loops, especially the Erotic Perversion collection (I ran some stills from one of the loops as the daily picture a while back...might have been before you got here). There's stuff on YouTied from him; check out my Homepage URL for one of those loops (but turn down your sound, this one is LOUD!). Even without sound, these were among the greatest bondage films ever made.

I have more to say, but I'm going to take my own advice and cut this one short. Thanks to everyone who posts; you make this site a fun place to visit.

John Blakemore was credited as Photo Editor in lots of HOM bondage mags from 1981 to 1988. The photographers and riggers, however, were never (with a couple exceptions I'll get to below) credited in the mags. This I believe is why numbers of people guessed at, concluded, the photographer / rigger must be Blakemore. All they had to go by in the mags was this photo editor credit, the only credit related to photos (mostly)...so I can see how this mistaken association came to be.

However, photo editor in mags is not a photographer credit, it's not a taking photos, setting up lighting, working with and rigging models credit. A photo editor works with the editor to choose photos, get them developed as necessary (the right sizing) to layout in the magazine. He might be a photographer, but he doesn't have to be, and the photo editor credit doesn't say he is!

Now, while I haven't gone through and read all the HOM mags I have, I did find 2 references to photographer credits. These I didn't find in the magazine production credits which HOM started to include around 1978. I found one in the editorials, which is repeated a number of times in different mags. And another in one magazine as text in a certain model's spread.

The editorial one is written, or attributed to be written, by Barbara C. Behr herself. Here's what she writes: "..The sameness that you can count on [referring to HOM mags] is I am the one with the camera in my hands. Hopefully or regretfully (depending on your point of view), I only shoot what I like to see! And, if a set falls flat on its face, I never get around to scheduling it in a magazine. I think I have a few sets left in the drawer that have been there for fifteen years! Barbara C. Behr"

So here Barbara credits herself as photographer. Should be noted though that HOM had two styles of mags, the classic Whitman style I really liked, and a softer style which didn't do much for me. She may very well be the photographer of the softer stuff. Of maybe she was behind the camera when Whitman appeared with models in some photo spreads. Maybe she did shoot Whitman's rigged models sometimes. Don't know.

The only other photographer credit I found (so far) was in Bondage Classics #21 (1982), where a latina model named Red (later dubbed Patti Whitman in future mags) has the following write up in her photo spread titled "THE LADY NAMED RED." The copy reads "Lucky Jeremy Whitman being married to a beauty like this. Jeremy, a cinematographer of ours, sometimes gets carried away when he gets home after work. Of course, he explains to Red that he is only trying out new ideas for our movies, but I think Red knows exactly what is going on. And lucky us that Jeremy took these stills of their last session. Yum!" So here, Jeremy Whitman is mentioned to be an HOM cinematographer, and is credited to having taken "Red's bondage photos" which is his only photographer credit in a mag that I know of (besides the later Calstar mags about Calstar videos). BTW, in the same BC #21 mag, the photo editor credit is John Blakemore.

Also of note is that magazine credits started appearing as far back as 1978 and the photo editor credit then, from 1978 to 1981, was Russell Budd. And Whitman photos filled Russell Bud photo edited mags too. Whitman photos actually go back to 1974, maybe earlier, though mags that old had no magazine production credits. And, I also have a later HOM mag, passed the Whitman era, that doesn't have Whitman photos in it, and the photo editor is John Blakemore.

None of this is super definitive. HOM didn't exactly do a great job letting us know who the photographers, riggers were. Or even models. We have a lot of unnamed HOM models that we only recognize by looks. But right now, I'm standing by the reasoning that the slim bearded guy who is definitely credited as Whitman, and later Matthew Cole in the Calstar Punished videos, was never actually ever referred to as Blakemore by Barbara Behrs HOM crew. Blakemore was another guy.

Also, in Sgt. Majors blog, I recall him saying the guy he talks to occasionally that he calls "Blakemore" (which I wish he would stop doing!) told him that after a shoot, he would give the shot film to Barbara, and Barbara would take it from there, as far as turning it into product. Also, this person Sgt. Major is in contact with says he doesn't know the model names from mags and films, he didn't deal with that part of it. Both of these things mean while he performed the jobs of bondage photographer and cinematographer, he didn't perform the job of photo editor. Cause if he did, he would have worked on the layout of mags and he'd know the model names.

So we should not be calling the slim bearded guy Blakemore, only Whitman or Cole. Or to put this long post another, shorter, way: Dan Hawke is right. :)

As for you being a "teddy bear" villain, I think your size does bring an intimidating element to the scenes. If I had one complaint, it's that your voice is just too nice, and I mean that in the nicest way, I think. But I must say that you have applied some of the tightest crotch ropes I've ever seen.

As for plots in bondage films, I'd rather have them so I can identify more with the characters. The plot buildups (provided they aren't too long) are sort of like foreplay before the climax of the woman getting tied up and abused. The scenes, for me at least, seem much more complete if there's a reason behind the torment.

Well, here's the poop. What's on the new Brutal Violence is simply the old stuff that was removed from the other site. Because there was so much demand for the old stuff, they've decided to put it back online. But get this: they don't update. No more new stuff whatsoever. Their cost to join for 30 days is 34.95 (pounds), which, doing the pounds to dollars conversion, equals out to about $60.95 a month. Amazingly, they also give you the option to join for an entire year, which equals out to $523.00 a year. But why join for a year if you won't be getting any new shows? If you're really interested in seeing what the site has to offer, your best bet would be to join for a month, grab everything they have and get out of there.

That sealed the deal for me. I was there before and got what I wanted. But there's no way I would join again if there's not going to be anything new. Is 60 bucks worth it to grab all their shows? Well, you do get a LOT of good material. If you figure your average fetish DVD is $20 to $30, you're getting way more than that if you download all their shows while you're there. So it's up to you. I'm just really glad I checked before I decided to take the plunge again. And I pity any unfortunate soul who pays for a year's membership thinking he'll be getting a year's worth of new entertainment.

Dan Hawke: I think maybe I have seen some of the Whitman classic loops in some old "History of Rape" and "Dominators" VHS tapes I bought from Alpha Blue Archives several years ago. I have a huge collection of BDSM images I culled from UseNet back in the 90s as well, and I seem to recall seeing CHAD and HOWL in some filenames. I'll have to dig those CD archives out and check them again. And I just joined the Chadscans Yahoo Group which specializes in CHAD images as well. I came across an interesting movie at Bizarrovideo.com that surprisingly was not a total disappointment. Lots of rape scenes.

Carcere Amori Bestiali (AKA Brutal Love Prison) (1994)

I came across Carcere Amori Bestiali at Bizarrovideo.com, where it was available for download to members under the title Brutal Love Prison. It is in Italian, I think. The subtitles are in another language. Maybe Portuguese. When I went to Babel Fish and translated the subtitled movie title, it translated (Portuguese to English) to "Sex Outlaw." That sounds more like this movie. According to IMDB it is about a congresswoman who lobbies for conjugal prison visits, but I didn't get that. The movie is basically a string of rapes. Lots of rape.

It starts with a pretty blond (with a garland of flowers around her head like a floral headband) doing a lot of exposition. In another language. I don't have a clue what she is saying. There is a high probability that she's identifying herself as a congresswoman who is lobbying for conjugal visits. Then she goes jogging and her path takes her past a group of five guys kicking at a ball, kind of playing soccer maybe but not really. When she runs by, they decide it would be more fun to play with her. They surround her, push her back and forth between them, run their hands up under her clothes and pull her sweat shirt top up enough to reveal her belly but that's all. Then one of the guys breaks it up and protectively pulls her away and says something and they all walk away.

Next scene the guy and the blond are in her house and they do a fairly boring XXX sex scene. I notice she is wearing heels with her jogging outfit and I wonder if she was jogging in heels. So I rewound and sure enough, she was jogging in heels. Those Italians. And she is not really a blond, which I deduced from her heavy dark Brooke Shields eyebrows but confirmed once he got her pants off. (But he never did take her top off, which was a bit annoying. I like women in sex scenes to be naked.) So standard XXX sex.

Cut to a dark haired girl petting a dog outdoors. The same five guys walk up and grab her, except this time they pick her up and toss her back and forth between them. The guy who just nailed the blond almost drops her. I guess it's true what they say about sex with girls and sports performance. She does a lot of verbal protesting, but not a lot of fighting. They lay her on a brick wall and pull off her pants. While three of them take turns having her fellate them, the guy who just nailed the blond fucks her. The fifth guy just sort of stands there. There is no climax to this scene. It just abruptly cuts to two of the guys peeing on her and making "O" faces as they do it. Personally, peeing never did that for me, but I'm not an Italian rapist so what do I know. Also, they never took her top off, either. What do these guys have against breasts?

Next scene, the five guys are leaning against a wall playing around with each other (in a roughhouse masculine way). Three girls are working on a motorcycle without much success. They decide it would be a good idea to call over the five guys, because, you know, all guys know how to fix motorcycles. It's a guy thing. They walk over and immediately grab the girls. I mean, they don't even pretend to help them first in order to build up suspense. Just wham bam thank you ma'am.

They wrestle her to the couch and she is made to perform oral sex for a while, then they turn her kind of upside down and one guys fucks her mouth while the other guy takes the more traditional approach of fucking her pussy. They double team her for a while and she makes great victim noises.

Trouble arrives in the form of the blond congresswoman, who drives up and walks in on them raping this girl. You can tell by her expression that she is sad and disappointed at this turn of events. So she walks out and leaves the girl to be raped. Just like a real congresswoman would do because a real congressman would probably try to get in on the action. As a GIMP flick this movie is not all that bad. The girls are all attractive. There is one attempted rape and six girls are actually raped (in four separate scenes). The violence is low-key, but they are definitely nonconsensual sexual encounters. So even though there is not a lot of struggling, the rapes are fairly good. No bondage except the brief rope bondage near the end. No gags. Minimal suspense. It gets a C from me.

HOM, Whitman etc.. Whilst I can't contribute to the discussion I find it very interesting, appreciate everyone's posts on the subject, and encourage you all to continue to share your knowledge.

They also offer many of the downloadable films on DVD, but their site is so badly organized that you cannot easily search for the DVDs. They are arranged in categories and you have to manually move from page to page in each category and scroll through sometimes lengthy pages. They are not in alphabetical order. There is no search utility. It is quite annoying.

And to confuse the issue even more, they change the names of movies. Granted, many of the movies have foreign names or multiple titles based upon where they were released, but sometimes Bizarro Video seems to make up their own name. That makes it quite easy to watch (or buy) the same movie twice, which kind of puts me off.

I zipped through that latest Bizarro Video Japanese war film looking for a scene that caught my attention and I was unimpressed. It looked like they took time out from the brutal torture, abuse and rough sex (ha!) for a photo shoot toward the end. A bizarre turn of events that means I will go back and see how that came about but it looked extremely tame. I'll review it in the next day or so.

My experience so far is that very few of the Bizarro Video movies are as rough as its text suggests. Here is an example.

The Seduction of Amy (AKA Pantasmes and Once Upon A Virgin) (1975)

The Seduction of Amy starts with a bang. Young Amy is being chased through the woods by a guy who catches her, rips open her blouse and attempts to rape her until she whacks him in the head with a tree branch. Angry, he punches her in the face and she falls back unconscious into a lake. He panics and runs away.

Amy wakes up in a bed, dry, with her ripped blouse still showing one of her breasts. Makes you wonder about someone who rescues a rape victim but leaves her half naked in bed. Her rescuer is a guy with longish feathered 70s hair and a mustache that goes on forever. Also a white Romeo shirt with belled sleeves and open down to the middle of his hairy chest. (I had a red shirt like that back in the late 60s when I didn't know any better but I kept it buttoned up because I didn't have a hairy chest at 14.) So it is no surprise to hear that he has discovered a hidden manuscript from the Marquis de Sade describing a secret ceremony that, not surprisingly, Romeo wants to duplicate.

Following this revelation, Romeo has a standard XXX sex scene with some dark haired girl in the basement of his castle. Because yeah, he's living in a castle, probably the one in which the Marquis de Sade lived and in the basement of which the Marquis de Sade performed all sorts of unspeakable sex acts. We should be so lucky.

Romeo goes upstairs and discovers a random cute girl hitchhiker who just walked in and asked for a tour of his "chateau." He tells her he'll trade her a tour for a performance. She takes off her shirt. He decides she gets her tour. He asks to see her ballet performance and I am not surprised to hear she likes to perform in the nude, which she does. He also gives her the tour while she is nude. He invites her to spend the night and she accepts. Still in the nude, of course.

Amy is awakened by sounds of someone asking (kind of crying out but more sort of like moaning) for help. She lights a candle and goes looking for the source of the voice. A spooky candle-lit walking tour of the chateau follows. She discovers a naked girl chained AOH against a basement wall. She tells Amy to flee "before he comes back." Amy runs upstairs and finds Romeo who tells her she just had a nightmare and walks her back down and shows her no one is chained up downstairs.

The next morning, Amy runs into two more girls. They walk downstairs and find some more guys and girls sitting in the parlor. Everyone is wondering why Romeo (actually the character's name is Gideon) invited them. This is sounding like an Agatha Christie mystery. Or an Edgar Allen Poe short story. As if. The men and women pair off for some random XXX sex while awaiting Romeo. Amy watches everyone pairing off and having uninhibited sex and she is wondering what kind of guy Romeo could be if he has people in his chateau who just have random XXX sex. She is so disappointed, and runs off crying. Everyone else has random XXX sex. Fairly boring XXX sex, unfortunately, that goes on for quite a while.

Cut to two young girls who look like Heidi look-alikes walking along the lake shore. They walk into the chateau uninvited and are shocked to encounter the couples having random XXX sex. So one of them undresses the other one and pushes her into the orgy room. She flees back out and grabs her companion and bends her over her knee and pulls down her panties and spanks her bare butt. Everyone laughs. Next thing we know the dual Heidis are taking turns sucking a guy's cock. Next they straddle him, one being eaten out and the other riding his dick. The orgy continues.

Amy has wandered out to the lake shore and she is crying inconsolably. She gets back to the chateau and the door slams closed behind her! It is locked! Next thing, we are on a beach and Romeo wanders up the sand to find Amy waiting for him. They run toward each other, suddenly stark naked, and embrace and roll down the sand dune. They start having XXX sex in all sorts of positions. You just know that sand is getting everywhere and this all has to be quite uncomfortable. She explains how she's never sucked a cock before and she wants to suck his and she does. It is true love, and she understands his needs. She explains all of this in long expository monologues.

While I was watching this scene in the dunes off the cape and sipping on a pina colada that I made myself because every once in a while I like to make exotic frozen rum drinks, I was hearing Rupert Holmes singing "Escape (The Pina Colada Song)," but the lyrics were different:

Not a great GIMP movie. First of all, Amy's "seduction" wasn't all that special. We didn't get to see Romeo in full de Sade mode. There were attractive women, and they were naked. But no torture. No rape. No threat. No violence. Two brief scenes where naked women are chained AOH. One brief but nice whipping scene, but I wouldn't waste time watching the movie, which I downloaded as a member of Bizarro Video. I would look for the scene on YouTied instead. This is a D.

Regarding the recent poll question I seem to fall in along the lines of Falstaff - the best of those days hold up quite well as there was so much more time spent on storyline - further, the models of that age had at least minimal acting ability and were mostly natural, things rarely seen in today's flicks. The best of the Attackers series makes them pale but not much else. And hell yes, let's get Renee Baker in her prime doing it today.

Scheer mentioned the Japanese War Prisoner movie just posted to Bizarro Video. Since I have a few days left on my membership, I downloaded and watched it. He was absolutely right that it is tame and almost consensual. But here is a more detailed review.

Japanese War Prisoner

The Bizarro Video featured download for October 15, 2008, Japanese War Prisoner, is more of an hour long video clip than a movie. What makes it "war" is basically that everyone is wearing camo-colored clothes. A not unattractive female Japanese prisoner is walked in at gunpoint. In addition to her camo top and pants, she is wearing heels, and several bright yellow bracelets on one wrist. Go figure.

There is a lot of dialog, during which she gives negative responses. Finally, about 6-1/2 minutes in, one of the guys starts pawing her and trying to run his hand down her camo pants. He pulls her arms behind her back and kind of swings her around and gropes her breasts. She resists minimally, but she resists.

Suddenly her wrists are fastened into leather cuffs over her head. We didn't see that happen. Just one second she was being groped and the next her wrists were over her head. The boss guy feels her up through her clothes, then slides his hands into her top and squeezes her breasts. He undoes the buttons on her camo pants to reveal white lacy panties. He lifts up her camo shirt to reveal a bright yellow swimsuit top, which matches her bracelets. More pawing ensues.

There is a pause in the action during which the two guys maintain a repetitive sounding dialog. Then they pull her pants down and leave them bunched around her ankles. The camera makes a slow tour of her body. Next, the boss guy cuts her top, but not all the way off. Then he pulls her swimsuit top up to expose her breasts and proceeds to squeeze and generally play with them. He runs his hand down into her panties occasionally, then finally just pulls her panties all the way down to her ankles.

The boss guy kneels in front of her and strokes her pussy. Then he turns her around and spreads her cheeks enough for the camera to zoom in on her sex.

Suddenly she is seated in a chair. This movie doesn't waste much time with traditional scene transitions. Her torn top is still over her shoulders, but not covering up her breasts. Her yellow swimsuit top is still pulled up over the top of her breasts. She is still wearing the yellow bracelets. She is not tied to the chair or bound in any way. She is just sitting there, letting this guy spread her knees apart and spread her pussy lips apart and generally play with her sex. You know, she really should be restrained, and she should be trying to escape. She is not even making victim noises. She's just sort of going with the flow, like having a strange guy poke and prod her between the legs is something that happens frequently.

Next scene change, she has her hands behind her back (not tied or secured--she is just kind of holding them back there to give the illusion of bondage) while the guy finger fucks her. Then he pushes a nice chrome speculum into her and screws it open and then sticks his finger into the speculum. He wiggles his finger around inside her and is apparently stimulating something because she actually responds by twitching her thigh and audibly gasping.

Next, he inserts a bright pink "Hello Kitty" vibrator into the speculum (and therefore into her), and moves it in and out. (Okay, I'm just kidding about the "Hello Kitty" part. It might have been "Mary Kay.") I can't tell if her reaction--and she does react--is because it is vibrating her or just going deep enough to hurt her. In my fantasy, it is both. That doesn't last too long, and we never get to see her face while she is being violated with the pink vibrator, so we don't actually know what her responses are. That is a missed opportunity in my opinion.

Out comes an orangish three-pronged dildo looking thing. First they rub it between her breasts. Then the second guy holds the girl's ankles apart and up in the air (she is still wearing her heels) while the boss guy fucks her with the orange dildo. It is a mechanical dildo, so it rotates in a small circular motion. He moves it in and out a few times.

You would never know she is being forced to do it against her will. Which kind of spoils the scene for me. The guy tries to fuck her hard and she tries to respond, but it could easily be normal sex response instead of brutal rape response. This goes on for several minutes.

Next up, the second guy is sitting on the chair and she backs up and lowers herself onto his cock. No apparent force or coercion is used to get her to do this. It's hard to remember she is supposed to be a prisoner who is being raped. Quick change of scene as she is now on her back on a table with her legs up and apart as the second guy arranges himself on the table in order to fuck her. Her heels are finally gone, as we see her bare feet bouncing in the air as he pumps into her. The guy loudly reaches climax and squirts onto her breasts.

That is the end of the movie. My copy suddenly starts a "behind the scenes" sequence at the 42 minute mark where we see the girl's hair being arranged just so. Oddly, she is wearing pink slippers in these scenes. Pictures are taken as she raises her shirt to expose her breasts, and has her pants undone and pulled open enough to show the beginning of her pubic patch. Her breasts are very attractive and look 100% natural, by the way. She has a nice body. Large breasts, small waist, dramatic flair of the hips, shapely legs, pretty feet. She would have looked awesome in strict bondage. She is not wearing the yellow swimsuit top in this scene. I wonder why they added it?

More pictures of her posing with the machine gun, with her breasts exposed, primarily because the old camo top has been replaced by a new camo top that ends above her breasts. Publicity stills for the NRA crowd, I guess. Why, she could run for vice president on the Republican ticket based on these shots. No, wait, I spoke too soon. This is basically a 40-minute rape video clip. The girl is attractive and she has an incredible body. But there is no violence or threat. No torture. No gags. All-too-brief AOH bondage. It would have been much better if the actress had pretended she was being raped. As it was, she demonstrated some half-hearted reluctance. The video quality was very good, though. So I will give this a qualified C-. If you don't need a good dose of violence and forced nonconsensuality in your rape scenes, this would probably be an okay clip.

When he manually went to refund the $36.00 he left out the decimal point and refunded the customer $3600.00 To shorten this part it took many calls to processor and bank and customer as processor was unable to refund it. The $3600.00 went on his credit card- he was unable to use it as it was way above his credit limit. Looks like after over a month the end of this part of the story may be over as check is supposed to be here tomorrow.

Meantime I make couple calls to my credit card processor and they take a quick look at my website and next day my merchant account is shut down after 3 years of processing.

So, I pursue getting another merchant account. First off I will need to pay Visa/MC $750.00. I already paid that fee once. Next I find out the discount rate (rate charged by bank) will at least triple. Per transactions charge will triple also. From here it gets worse.

They will take a percentage of money every month for 6 months. This will amount to over $3000.00

I've got a snowballs chance in hell of ever seeing a dime of this money as it will be held conveniently in my merchant bank in Australia. I of course will not know the name or address of the bank. Closest I get to the bank is my processor- which of course is in the United Kingdom. This does help out Visa/MC as they get a bigger cut from my sales then they have been getting.

It hasn't happened yet, but in the event a bank teller were to ever ask, "what is Video Mayhem?", my plan is to say it's a company that sells difficult-to-find horror movies. That's a somewhat true answer, isn't it?

Among other illegal things they've done was to intentionally put pressure on the financial institutions to not accept revenue from adult businesses. Today you'd be hard-pressed to find even one US-based financial institution that will accept business from adult vendors. You think the credit card companies really wanted to lose all that income? Trust me, they were forced into it, and no one is allowed to say a word why, but we all know the reason.

And with the nation nearing a recession (or already there), they are willingly allowing literally billions of dollars that could be helping this country and giving it to foreign countries instead. And porn is recession-proof; it's a consumable entity, not all that different from grocery stores selling milk. It's a staple; people will always come back for more. Once again, we're talking BILLIONS of dollars leaving this country, all because a certain administration doesn't like porn. Think they would still need that $700 billion buyout if they had left things the way they were? It's pretty disgusting.

The good thing is we'll finally be rid of the Republicans come early next year, but I don't think President Obama's itinerary will be to use porn revenue as part of his plan to fix the economy. It's doubtful, though, that he'll be wasting more of our tax dollars going after more needless prosecutions of the producers, so that's a step in the right direction.

I would suggest that you check with other companies that carry adult product and see how they're doing it. Natasha Flade got around it (of course, she's a lawyer in real life). Gary Roberts got hit hard but he found someone else. So did Steve at Powershotz. It can be done; it's just a matter of how much more you're willing to spend to stick around as an online merchant. It looks pretty exciting, although the few other trailers they have on their site look like just vanilla bondage videos, without even any nudity. Of course, this trailer doesn't have it either, but it certainly implies that something bad sexually may happen to the gorgeous woman in the film. It's 40 minutes long and only $20.99...think it's worth checking out?
