The reason, redundancy! The is more material out there than ever -- and most of it is pretty much the same diet. With a few exceptions, most of which no longer produce new material, all productions follow the same formula for years -- no one feels the need to get out of the comfort zone and other than new actresses -- the themes and locations -- and the final execution of the product mirrors prior releases in most respects. That has been very disappointing to me and at times has made me consider cutting back altogether. If one looks to the music business -- the artists that package the same material over and over -- eventually lose sizable listenership. I doubt that this happens in this industry -- due to our own repetitive inclinations.

In final analysis, I seek out whatever new and fresh presentations I can find -- even if I have to go to various forums -- and surprisingly find that there is stuff that resembles and in rare occasions is amateur work. Katsuyuki Hasegawa, the director of the terrific 2005 classic, Shark 231 (review) is back with another story about a trio of special agents who get raped and abused, and this time the focus is on anal sex and double penetrations.

Shark Special 35 doesn't always work -- too often, despite the screaming and crying, the DPs and back door violations look a little too much like gonzo vanilla porn for my tastes. But this two-part movie does have a nice mix of bondage, torture, and rape, and a few solid moments that make it worth a look.

The film's star is the gorgeous Ayumu Kase, of Slave Island 7 fame, and she has some of the best moments in the film. She is backed up by the exotic-looking Yuri Shirayama and the cute and perky Asami Takizawa. There is a strong cast of male villains who are familiar faces in Attackers movies, and a female villain played by Mirei, who must be either Korean or Chinese, as her speaking parts always include subtitles.

Part One

The story is about some female FBI special agents who are assigned to break up a terrorist organization in Japan (the plot is explained in English by an American actor, Richard Korman, Jr.). The three female agents, dressed in silk Oriental dresses, find the terrorists near a warehouse area at nighttime. Plenty of karate action follows -- some of it pretty good -- but eventually the women are captured. The male villains use karate chops to the necks to knock out the three women, and the heroines awaken in a warehouse basement, tied together by ropes in a seated position on the floor, linked to a chain that hangs from the roof.

The villains decide to torture the women, starting with Yuri Shirayama, an Attackers favorite whose credits include Slave Island 6. Yuri is definitely attractive. She has a pretty face and haunting, beautiful eyes. Her body is average -- not spectacular, but nothing to complain about.

The action starts as Ayumu and Asami are seated on the ground, still bound by ropes and now cleave gagged, and are forced to watch the torture of Yuri, who is tied in a standing position, with her wrists cuffed and her arms bound over her head by a chain (all three women are still fully dressed at this point). A bald guy with sunglasses verbally taunts Yuri, then starts whipping her clothed back with a riding crop. As Yuri squeals and cries out, with her hands clutching the chain above her, the bald guy does some rapid-fire whipping, and Yuri starts sweating as her back gets harshly whipped 75 times. Nearby, Ayumu and Asami are nearly in tears as they see their colleague being tortured.

The bald guy rips off Yuri's dress and removes her bra, so that she is standing wearing only bright blue panties and pantyhose. The bald guy then turns Yuri around so the other women can see the damage done, as Yuri's back sports a number of welts and bruises. Sadly, the bald guy has no sympathy, and he uses his hand to slap the sore parts of Yuri's back a few times, making Yuri cry out in further pain.

With her bare and bruised back fully exposed, the riding crop whippings continue -- first by the bald guy, and then by the villainess Mirei, whose whippings are just as harsh as the bald guy's. Soon, Yuri's back is a Passion of the Christ-like mess, with dark bruises, welts, and a number of open bleeding cuts. Yuri's head keeps jerking back in sharp pain, as her shredded back continues to get whipped.

Just to add a bit more to the torture, Mirei spits a mouthful of red wine onto the open cuts on Yuri's back, forcing Yuri to squeal even louder. More whipping follows, and Yuri's loud squeals continue. Ultimately, Mirei turns Yuri around to once again show off the results, a back covered in blood, sweat and bruises.

Yuri is next seen tied seated in a chair, her hands cuffed behind her back, and two guys are forcing Yuri to suck their cocks. Yuri, who is still wearing panties and pantyhose, tries to put up a bit of resistance, but the villains force her to blow them. One guy even climbs up on the arms of the chair, and squats in front of Yuri's face -- he grabs Yuri's head and yanks her face back and forth on his cock.

Next, as the orally violated Yuri is gasping for air, the guys rip off her pantyhose and pull off her panties, and move her into a doggie position on the chair. The villain then removes the chopped hair from the chain, pulls Yuri's face back, and waves the strand of hair in front of her face. The villain then grabs Yuri's head by her hair and forces her to stand up, so that another villain can deliver a punishing series of punches and karate chops to her stomach, causing Yuri to cough up blood and die.

A few scenes follow where the two remaining women almost escape -- and there is more karate -- but it is not to be. The two women are overpowered once more, and it is Asami Takizawa's turn to be tortured.

I wasn't quite as keen on Asami. Her face is pretty enough, and she has a nice body, but her hair was tied in pig tails, and the movie seemed to focus on her being the 'young one'. It made her a little less appealing to me.

Anyway, when Asami's torture begins, she is also fully dressed, in a standing position with her wrists cuffed together and her arms tied over her head to the chain. A male villain waves a big knife in front of Asami, and then proceeds to cut open her silk dress. The villain then rips the dress open at the back, and only tattered parts of the dress remain as we see Asami's pink bra, pink panties, and pantyhose. Two of the villains unlock Asami's wrists and she is taken to a nearby chair, where her wrists are cuffed again and one of the villains holds her in the chair.

The other villain uses his knife to cut open Asami's pink bra. As Asami quivers and whimpers, the villain runs the knife over her left nipple, threatening to cut it off. He then uses the knife to cut open her pantyhose and her panties.

Shark Special 35 isn't the best movie I've seen this year, but it has some strong moments that make it worth recommending.

I actually saw this one, and I agree with your assessment. I was a bit disappointed, considering the movie started off like an Asian Charlie's Angels and seemed to have great potential. I thought the tortures could have been harsher or at least a little more varied. And yes, the rape scenes ended up looking too much like vanilla porn.

I've also joined a few bondage websites over the past year or so (Shadowslaves was one I joined for a month most recently) but again, I find I download the files and don't watch them. I'm not a fan of watching movies on my PC; I think it's because you can't easily fast-forward through the dull spots. I know there's a way to transfer them to DVD; once I figure out how to do that, I'll probably be more inclined to watch them.

A Canadian: Awesome review, as always. Long but never boring, and I want to see this movie now. He goes off and she struggles to free herself and tries to reach the telephone. He chloroforms her, plays with her boobs and some sundry fondling, pulls down her jeans and panties to display her ass and pussy, then carries her away.

Cut scene - Abbey is still bound face down on the floor of a van traveling on the road. She awakens and to stifle her protestations she is gagged with mouth packing and a cleave. She continues to struggle mightily on the floor. The villain reaches back from the drivers seat and gives her some fondling and leaves her hogtied - Suddenly, she has been transferred to the rear seat of the van still hogtied with the addition of a seat belt to keep her in place. A nice scene follows as they move through traffic with Abbey struggling and the camera shot showing her and looking out the rear window of the van. They arrive at the destination.

Cut scene - Abbey is being carried over the shoulder to the interior. Her ankles are chained and she is hand and thumb cuffed. The dastardly Snidely Whiplash sets her down, fondles her and verbalizes his unhonorable intentions. He then totes her off again to his playroom which is equipped with some fabricated bondage toys. He removes all but her ankle chain. She is defiant when he orders her to remove her top but she complies. She is ordered to kneel on a small, low bench that has a horizontal bar set up on one end. Her ankle chain is removed and her wrists are bound in front, then to the bar - we then go to a split screen showing the same action from different angles. He wraps the cord from the bar around her waist, then down through the crotch and back up to the bar. She is ordered to cross her ankles which he binds with rope and secures it to a small O-ring on the bench. He produces a long, thin wooden rod and menaces her with it in various ways and administers a few smacks across the ass. The crotch rope is removed and her jeans are pulled down for some fondling and smacking. He canes the soles of her feet with her shoes still on, wraps rope through her mouth and slaps her ass. He packs her mouth and leaves her with a cleave gag then she struggles to free herself.

He returns and begins to undo her bonds. She is taken off the bench and forced to stand at attention by her newly found drill sergeant. He orders her to get naked and kneels on the floor. For some unknown reason, he orders her to put her socks and shoes back on. A bar stool is brought in and she sits on it while he uses plasticuffs to bind her wrists behind, legs above the knee and ankles. Then he wraps the cord from a red ball gag around her throat, orders her to open up and he applies the gag. Being the humanitarian he is, he tells her if she wishes he will replace the gag with his ding-dong. She struggles on the stool when he leaves until he returns and tells her to knock that shit off. He stands her up and bends her over the stool for some fondling and smacking. He wraps a leather strap around her neck then whacks her ass with it then smacks the soles of her feet with it. He stands her up and uses pliers to remove the plasticuffs then down to her knees for some more verbal discipline.

Cut scene - She is carried to the bedroom and tossed on the crib. She is bound with surgical tubing and left hogtied after some fondling and smacks. He applies the mouth packing and cleave gag and leaves. We get some fine struggling action from Abbey.

Cut scene - in another split screenshot (and there were others I did not mention) Abbey has been retied with the surgical tubing, each wrist to each ankle. Snidely enters and lifts her ass for some smacks and fondling and as he admires that rump rearranges her several times. After a short hiatus he returns and removes her shoes and socks and holds a sock over her mouth and nose.

Cut scene - Abbey has been knelt on a foot stool and shackled wrists in front and ankles to the stool. A head harness is applied and a blue ball gag attached. He states he will leave her like that until the next day. The End

Movie Pluses - I thought the camera work was quite good. The split screen shots worked rather nicely and several times the camera worked through the vantage of the villain. Various use of angles and distance made for a nice breakup of the usual. Being a huge hogtie and carry guy I was not disappointed though I wish the carries had been longer - No gripe there though. All in all, I liked the concept.

Movie Minuses - 3 things listed in order of importance from least to most - 1. Abbey is a virtual mural for some tattooist - her entire upper back is covered and very distracting - seems to come with today's model landscape so I'll just have to handle it. 2. Abbey seems to be very camera conscious - she spent far too much time looking directly into the camera. That's understandable when the viewpoint is from the villain but all other times it didn't work well. 3. Abbey never conveyed to me she was under extreme torment. The one exception was when she struggled in her hogtie on the bed. Never was sold on the scenes by Abbey. Great bod, nice natural breasts and certainly cute enough - just lacked the passion to sell the scene.

The Verdict - this was the first Powershotz effort I have viewed and am left with mixed emotions - the potential is there for some nice stuff - perhaps our friend Steve could give me some tips on what he considers better efforts as I will certainly be viewing more.

Frankly, I don't think Abbey - Alone in Her Hotel Room is my cup of tea, although there are parts of the story that I found amusing. For example, if I followed the movie's jumps from scene to scene correctly, it sounds like the masked intruder carried a passed out woman through parts of the hotel and out to his van, which presumably was in the parking lot. It must be a pretty weird hotel if that didn't raise at least a few eyebrows.

I also thought the part where Abbey is tied up and is forced to sniff one of her own socks was pretty funny. I'm not sure it's all that erotic, but it is funny.

However, unlike you, I suspect I would have found the split-screen effect pretty annoying.

It sounds like the same story with Steve's work: some good stuff along with some footage that doesn't work as well. In this case, I would probably pass because of Abbey's tattoos, which can turn off my libido faster than a bucket of ice water down my pants (which I don't recommend anyone trying). I definitely appreciate the fact you brought up the tattoos, because you sure can't tell from looking at the box cover. He does get some pretty girls to work with him, so I would probably go after another title with some of the girls I like better. He has a good idea of what to do with them; I just wish he would be a little meaner.

I have been made aware of a new service by Netflix - people can now get a movie sent directly to a Tivo. As of yet none of my movies are offered on this service because I have not signed away rights yet, but certain titles are available as "video on demand" downloads. I am not saying that to shamelessly self-promote (I didn't mention any particular titles). Rather, I am interested in learning why people prefer the pay-per-download option. I keep hearing that it's the fastest-growing part of the movie market. Is it just the lower price that's appealing? I can totally understand a person opting for V.O.D. if the movie is only available on DVD-R, but I am having trouble understanding why someone would prefer a DVD-R over a real DVD. In 2008 I have to switch to an HD camera - not because I will make HD DVD's, but because I have to be prepared for that option (if a movie company wants an HD version of a title, I have to be prepared to offer it).

As an aside, how many of you have HD players? Do you have any inclination to upgrade?

2 things did bug me about the scene. Number one, Marcil's hands were tied in front of her inside the trunk. You telling me she wasn't flexible enough to bend forward a few inches and pull the tape off her mouth? Hands tied in front is a major mistake that a lot of TV scenes make.

I haven't bought a high-definition player. Like many people, there's no way I'm going to invest until the format war is settled. But I am definitely ready to play the moment a victor emerges, or however the format war is settled.

I have stopped purchasing mainstream movies on regular DVD (I still buy some porn). And I am paying more attention to what's available in high definition -- getting mentally ready, I guess, for that post-war era.

As an aside, I read somewhere on dvdfile.com that the Japanese porn producers will probably get into high definition soon, and that could be a key moment in determining which format will be victorious. Speaking of heroines in danger. . . a mainstream scene that really excited me was the scene where Peter saves Mary Jane in the first "Spider-man" movie. She's running home in the rain and gets cornered by a bunch of thugs. The thing is, the way the scene is staged, it really seems like the gang's intent is to rape her. It's a little scary. Of course, Spider man shows up and gets that big upside down smooch that was in all the trailers, but still, that was a pretty intense setup. Considering that this is a message board where we've discussed snuff fantasies, gang rape, and torture, "Spider-man" is tame stuff, but I had a little flash during the movie just the same. Next time you see it on T.V. pay attention to that scene.

Harry, Ron and Hermione get captured around mid way through the book by some of Voldemort's goons. They are taken back to the house of one of Voldemort's followers and all plot details aside there's information they want from them and they decide to torture Hermione to get it.

They use a spell on her for the torture of course, called the Cruciatus Curse, which is basically just the staple Harry Potter torture spell. They use it on her several times while Harry and Ron are locked away in a basement and hear her screaming. Eventually she passes out from the whole ordeal and then of course Harry and Ron find a way to get out and all three of them manage to escape safely.

Given that it's still technically a kids book I found the scene rather amazing and if translated directly into the movie I can see it being rather enjoyable. Truth is I didn't much care for the movies either and I skipped the last two, but now I'm finding myself talking my wife into going to see the sixth movie so she won't be so suspicious when I want to go see the seventh as well!

Still kinda sucks, though. The page states that it's a more "convenient" torture since one doesn't have to bind the victim first, since that would take unnecessary effort and time. Aw, cmon, we WANT you to take the unnecessary time and effort to tie her first! Seeing her struggle in her ropes would be the fun part! Shame on Voldemort for being so lazy.

In the first chapter, a witch teacher is suspended upside-down (via magical bondage) by Voldemort at a meeting with his followers.

Should be noted that the Hermione torture scene is from the perspective of Harry and Ron imprisoned in a cellar; they hear Hermione's screams and interrogation from the cellar. I wanted to let the board know about a mainstream movie I just rented from Netflix, a 1975 video nasty called Night Train Murders. Almost everybody around here knows about Last House on the Left, a classic of its type (although personally I'm not a fan). Well, this is basically the same movie, except it's a whole lot better. The plot concerns two young women who are held captive, tortured and killed by 2 men and a woman. The main difference is that in LHOTL, it was in the woods, and in this film, it's on a train. Also, where there was brief bondage in the former, no one gets tied up here. But there are highlights a plenty, and a lot of modern-day bondage films could learn a lesson in tone from watching this movie. It's extremely mean to its young pretty victims, and that made it most entertaining for me.

Start off with 2 sweet and innocent girls. One is an actual virgin played by Laura D'Angelo and the other is the super-cute Irene Miracle (who memorably exposed her breasts through a glass prison viewing booth to Brad Davis near the end of Midnight Express...anybody who's seen that film will recall that scene). They meet up with two lowlife thugs, guys you can tell are bad because they're seen mugging Santa Claus in the first 3 minutes of the movie.

Aboard a train, one of the thugs follows an older lady passenger (Macha Méril) into the restroom and attempts to rape her, but she's so thrilled with the idea of being taken that she consents to his actions and they end up making love right there. And inexplicably, she ends up not only joining the thugs in their attack on the girls, but actually encouraging them and egging them on to do more. As imposing as the 2 thugs are, her character is the scariest villain in the movie. There's just something about a woman who shows no mercy toward members of her own sex, especially when females are supposed to take empathy in one another. Not this bitch, no way.

One of the thugs takes a knife and slices off a hunk of Laura's hair and then sniffs it (a particularly creepy way to show he's nuts) and, having gotten a scent of her female essence, he decides to come back for the real thing by attacking her and trying to force himself on her. She knees him in the groin while Irene tries to escape, but both get beaten up for their actions.

"You're such a silly girl, you're asking to be beaten up," the older lady comments. "We just want to have fun, nothing more".

The thug forces the virgin to give him a handjob, and then the older lady tells her she should remove her panties, or else they'll be removed for her. Irene's character is forced to remove her lower clothing, as well.

Then get this. An old codger happens by and starts watching the humiliation of the girls through the window. They see him spying and open up the door and tell him to join the fun. Rather than go to the police, he actually takes them up on their offer and rapes Irene himself! Yeah, party time!

After the peeping tom leaves, the older lady mockingly berates the other girl, and when she finds out she's a virgin, she encourages the men to find out if she's lying. She holds her hand over the virgin's mouth and tells the crazy thug to give it to her. He tries to rape her, but she's too tight, so he decides to take her virginity another way...with his knife! The other thug tries to intervene, but the older lady calmly says "Hey, we'll only cut her a little".

You can guess what happens next. She gets a knife through her pussy (not as gross and bloody as you might think) and dies, as her horrified friend watches in shock. Irene runs away, and we get an eyeful as the men pursue her, as she's running through the halls with her beaver fully exposed (take THAT, Sharon Stone!) She locks herself in a bathroom and as the men pound on the door to break it down, she jumps out the train window, choosing death over certain torture. The men also throw the virgin's body out the train window and that finishes up our fun, setting up the inevitable revenge finale in the film's final third.

I was surprised that a film with no actual bondage could turn me on so much, but it works extremely well as both a horror movie and as a GIMP film. Like the best bondage movies, it gets its power through excellent casting and performances. The victims are both cute and act convincingly scared, and with 3 strong villains, you feel a lot of their fear as the tension builds and builds. There's not really much blood and gore to get in the way (and surprisingly not a lot of nudity, considering it was made in the liberal 1970s). This one is a real find, a girls in peril exploitation movie that gets it right. Definitely worth checking out.

And now kiddies, it is movie review time again. Todays offering is a ZFX effort, "Hard Bound Television". Release date 2/92. Starring, depending on whether you take the cover info or film run info, Julia Kara, Shelly Michels, Drew Phoenix, Desirree, Rick Masters, Duwayne Spiker and Bill Winters. Run Time - 50 minutes. I obtained my copy from VideoMayhem.

The premise is set as follows. Cable TV has been completely deregulated. A strapping blonde, Stephanie, begins watching a night of "Hard Bound Television". She plops on the sofa and catches the first of tonights installments, "Cooking with Julia Slut" Julia begins her cooking show whipping up a batch of tapioca. She is accosted by some guy and lightly bound wrists apart to the oven handle. She wears a long white smock like garment. This guy dips a dildo into a bowl and feeds her the pudding. He opens her smock and proceeds to fondle her all over with more tapioca. She seems to enjoy it. He brings out a baster with a tube extension and pumps her pie hole full of pudding. He has by now coated her pussy and ass. He rips off the smock, shreds her tee shirt. She no longer appears to be bound to anything, just white linen strips dangling from her wrists.

The next show is "Persuasion Theater" - tonights episode "AC/DC". Chick sitting on sofa is accosted by masked intruder with a gun. After a short struggle she is subdued and fondled, forced to the floor where she is cuffed wrists behind, ball gagged and divested of most of her clothing. A leather strap is used as a collar, a rope run from the strap and used to tie her ankles. He humps her on the floor amid some general mauling.

Cut Scene - She has been transported to some room at another locale, unbound, ungagged and wearing a completely different outfit. Placed on a bed, she is lashed with a riding crop. The Verdict - I never thought I would view a ZFX effort I would grade this low. I hope reading this review will be more pleasurable than watching the flick. Julia Slut and AC/DC are simply downright awful while Swimming Lessons is, even as the strongest entry, barely mediocre. Hope I've not offended anyone who has a tapioca cooking oil thing going on but it was all just more annoying than erotic. I rather think something like this happened - Rick had unused footage sitting around with no intention of releasing them. Someone comes up with the notion that if we take 3 bad clips maybe we can make one slightly less bad movie. It didn't work. Anyway, my recommendation is to avoid this.

Speaking of cruel, a while back, we were discussing if a bondage movie was "too realistic" to be enjoyed and if we felt guilty. Well, I was reorganizing my collection the other day and ran across one of the few bondage movies that made me feel uncomfortable because of my sympathy for the victim. Yes I can be a bit of a wussy at times. Here's my review of one of the nastiest bondage movies I've seen. I apologize for the length and if the movie is tame by your standards. Grab a martini or two :-)

Attackers JBD-109: The Human Sandbag

When the term "mean-spirited" is used for a mainstream movie involving a kidnapped woman, I usually grab it for the likelihood of brutality. So when I heard that same word being used for an Attackers film with a great title "Nin Gen Sandobaggu," which is translated into "The Human Sandbag," I just had to buy it.

"Mean-spirited" doesn't begin to describe this movie.

"The Human Sandbag" starts off innocently enough, with three young guys in army fatigues sitting at a table drinking and smoking. One of them gets a picture of a woman on his cellphone, and they plot their next move. My Japanese is pretty rusty so I'm not exactly sure why she's targeted. Maybe she called them all "pineapples" or something. But whatever the reason, she certainly pissed someone off.

The woman, Hotori Mizuno, walks home alone at night wearing a skirt, jacket, white shirt, and black socks and shoes, sort of a schoolgirl's outfit. She attacked by the guys wearing masks and has a bag thrown over her head. Handgagged, she's tied arms in front with black tape and pushed into a black van.

Hotori is led to a basement room blindfolded and put in a big cage. She's seems genuinely terrified, and the leader of the group politely tells her to wait there for a bit. She's taken out of the cage, now magically with leather cuffs behind the back and a dog collar. They tie her arms to some metal scaffolding so she's in an upper spread eagle. The guys are unmasked, and we see that they might fit right in with a punk rock band.

One guy fondles Hotori under her skirt as she screams convincingly while the leader takes a pic of her with her cellphone. Her white bra is pulled up to show a damn nice set of tits. One of the baddies gives her some kisses on her panties, much to the delight of his henchmen. He twists her nipples and comments on how large her breasts are, and then gives them a sucking. I thought this was gonna be typical Attackers fare, but then it started to get weird.

The guys do their best Dice-K impersonation and pelt the still-blindfolded Hotori with rubber balls. The leader gets a wooden stick and smacks her shins and rubs her snatch with it. He then connects with her bare midriff, and it makes an awesome sound above all of Hotori's screaming. After more fondling, biting on the arm and pussy rubbing, Hotori is untied and collapses on the floor, sobbing, and still wearing the blindfold.

Two of the guys rub and finger Hotori through her panties as she struggles to resist. One of them says she must like what's happening to her. Her blindfold is finally removed and they continue. We finally see Hotori's face. She's not drop-dead gorgeous yet still attractive. But the thing that got to me (and not just her fantastic body) was her eyes. For some reason, they screamed out "innocent victim." Maybe it was the long eyelashes, or her sheer look of terror.

While I had sympathy for Hotori, her tormentors had other ideas. She is forced to give a handjob while the other guy plays with her awesome funbags. She starts screaming again when she's forced to give one guy a blowjob. He cums in her mouth, she collapses and spits out the jizz.

In many Attackers films, the forced blowjobs seem to end up looking somewhat consensual IMHO. Hotori in this scene fights against it rather well.

The next scene shows Hotori back in the cage. The leader shows her that he's not such a bad guy by giving her some chips and coke to drink. She should have just said 'no.'

Later, she's gotta take a leak and meekly asks the leader for permission. He ridicules her for her shyness and pushes her stomach. She's given a large glass bowl as a toilet and she slowly removes her panties, which the leader sniffs. She's too ashamed to piss in front of him, but he bullies her into doing it. At this point, I knew something else was different about Hotori from other women in Attackers movies. She's got a shaved beaver! Pretty shocking considering how innocent she looks.

Anyhow, she's forced to use her panties to wipe herself, and then she cowers in her cage. The main villain lets her out of the cage, forcing her to take the bowl with her. He makes her put her finger in bowl and lick the urine-cover appendage, much to her obvious disgust. Then he makes her a deal: He'll let her go if she drinks all her piss. She finally does, but her efforts are met with laughs from her tormentor who calls her an idiot. He throws her back in the cage and the camera zooms in on the empty bowl with Hotori crying in the background.

I am not into the old freedom-for-drinking-piss trick, so this scene did nothing for me except confirm that Hotori is a damn good actress.

Next, she's tied standing up in rope, hands behind her back, and still wearing clothes but with her skirt hiked up over her lovely bare ass. Her shoulders are tied to the ceiling and she's got a crotchrope in that bald beaver of hers. The main villain whips the shit out of her ass (not literally) about 40 times and throws in a few spanks for good measure. Another guy sets up a camera so we get some close-ups of her anguished face. The main guy crawls underneath Hotori's red-welted ass, removes the crotchrope and looks up at her pussy. He must have liked what he saw because he fingers and licks her. She mutters in pleasure and pain, drawing laughs from the villains. The leader then spreads her buttcheeks wide and fingers her asshole, and he politely asks if it feels good.

The main villain gives her a few kicks that knock her off-balance but she can't fall down because of the ropes. Then he slaps her face a bit. She is forced to bend over with her hands untied, is lifted up by ropes around her ankles and hung upside down. But she is not suspended. She must place her hands on the floor so she's doing a handstand.

In this uncomfortable position, Hotori has an expensive looking white vibrator shoved in her mouth. The villain slaps her face with it a couple of times. Then he twists it into her pussy as she wails that it hurts. The vibrator is firmly in place and spinning around, so he ties it down with some rope. He then drips red candle wax on her hands, then her legs and ass as the vibrator hums away.

Hotori is hoisted up so she's totally suspended, and her arms are retied behind her back. The villain applies nipple clamps connected with a long chain, which he pulls so that her entire body starts swinging in the air. While she's swinging, he yanks the chain so the nipple clamps come off one by one, and she screams in pain.

He gives her a good push so she's really moving, and then whips her tits. He kisses her, but she refuses to open her eyes so he gives her three punches to the gut. Then he stops her from moving and kicks her in the stomach a couple of times so she's swinging again. He stops her again, and hits her stomach with a running-flying kick, repeats that maneuver and punches and knees her a few times. He boots her in the face (not real hard), kicks her in the stomach, and ends the session with another flying kick.

Hotori is back in the cage again, wearing only her unbuttoned white shirt, black socks and shoes. The two minions check her out, and one of them says she's starting to smell. They spray her with some aerosol on her armpits and pussy, totally humiliating her. One guy brings out what looks like a mini carpet cleaner that spews out steam. When applied to Hotori's pussy, we learn through her screams that the steam is scalding hot.

The boss takes over and she's tied AOH. After the usual fondling, fingering, licking, and, of course, screaming, one of those big round massage vibrators is used on her muff. My God, Hotori does make convincing panting sounds of pain, humiliation and pleasure. The villain fingers her asshole makes her lick his finger.

He brings out an enema, gives Hotori's mouth and nostrils a few squirts, and finally shoves it where the sun don't shine. After she's full, the leader slaps her in the stomach and gets that wooden stick. He takes a few practice swings and weakly hits her on the belly as she yelps. The big round vibrator is used again, she cums, and the white enema liquid spurts out of her ass. She's untied and collapses in her filth. One guy pisses in her face and they leave her there in total shame.

Hotori looks like a beaten woman, and, yes, she is. She's taped down to a wheelchair by her wrists, legs and chest. The main villain starts doing those weird face manipulations to Hotori that some of us might have done to our younger brothers or sisters when we were kids. He chokes her and slaps her tits. She's in obvious discomfort, but it gets worse.

A few real mean slaps to her face make poor Hotori cry. But he doesn't stop. After some more slaps, her mascara starts to run. She is crying out loud and screaming, but he keeps slapping away for such a long time that I wondered if this was a non-fatal snuff film.

The slapping stops and Hotori seems to be in a daze. She's snapped out of it by the crackling of a stun gun. The villain zaps her on the arms and legs, generated more cries in anguish. She struggles so much that the tape around her chest comes off, but she's still helplessly secured by her wrists and legs. Her face is sweating as she awaits her next torture.

The villain shows her a tray of thumbtacks, forces her mouth open and pours them in. She gags (sadly the only gag in the movie) and spits them out on her taped legs and the seat of the wheelchair. He's not pleased, so he picks up the tacks and presses them against her inner thighs. Then he grabs a handful of thumbtacks and rubs her bare snatch with them. With her eyes closed, Hotori's head bends back and she doesn't make a sound. But within a couple of seconds, she emits a bloodcurdling half-scream half-sob that just had to be real. The villain repeats the process.

Hotori, still taped to the wheelchair, looks completely broken. One by one, the villain puts the tacks into her mouth and tells her to keep them in there. He drips candle wax on her lips, and she can't open her mouth for fear of swallowing the tacks.

He slaps her face a few times with the tacks still in her mouth as she mmmphs. Finally, she spits out the tacks in the tray. The movie ends with her sobbing uncontrollably in the chair.

I have rarely seen a bondage actress give such a convincing performance, which indicates, in my eyes anyhow, that Hotori Mizuno was in genuine pain throughout the movie. She seemed terrified, as if the producer did not tell her what was coming next. And she never insulted her tormentors in hopes that they might ease up a bit. The villains looked like they thoroughly enjoyed what they were doing to her, especially the main baddie, which added to the nastiness of this movie.

I usually need to see gags in a bondage movie, but there were none in this one. Nor were there any rape scenes (unless you count the forced blowjob). And I'm not into piss, enemas or punching. In fact, I usually won't watch movies that have those elements. "The Human Sandbag" was just wall-to-wall torture and humiliation that was so realistic at times that I felt a bit uneasy, even though there was no blood and some of the punches and kicks were obviously held back. For some reason I can't explain, I was both turned on and turned off by the brutality in the movie and the real torment that Hotori went through.

From some of the Japanese Web sites I viewed, I believe Hotori is into the real-life S/M scene and makes appearances at such clubs. For me at least, that makes it much easier to enjoy "The Human Sandbag."

My Grade: A solid B.

Although I guess I'm known more as a "rape" enthusiast, I still enjoy a good torture movie, and JBD-109: The Human Sandbag sounds pretty impressive to me. I sometimes get a bit squeamish when the victim starts out in a school girl outfit, yet I liked the description of what happens to Hotori in this movie. I want to see this one.

Night Train Murders sounds pretty impressive, as well. I enjoyed Last House on the Left and this movie sounds even kinkier. It is available in Canada, at least on amazon.ca, so I will definitely check it out.

As for Hard Bound Television, well, what can I say? I did laugh out loud when I read about the movie's "pluses."

Sloth: Thanks very much for your review of Hard Bound Television. I rented that one many years ago and while I agree the first two segments were mostly fast-forward material, I think the final segment, with Rick torturing and raping Julia Kara, is actually quite good. I just looked at the footage again on my highlights tape. It still was as good as I remembered.

Julia was never a great actress, but she had a lithe little body and great hair, and I found her an appealing victim in this movie. I liked the multi-clothespin/electro torment a lot. The rape was obviously simulated but I still thought it was hot. And the finale with her bound spreadeagled on the bed where Rick tapes the bag over her head and plays breathing games with her? I had never seen anything like that at the time, and it definitely made a big impression on me. In fact, that was probably the first time I had ever seen a bondage asphyx torture scene, and it's still one of my favorites of its type.

I'm sorry you obviously didn't care for the movie as a whole, but I do appreciate your sharing your opinion with the board. IMO, Rick has made very few out-and-out bombs. Even some of his lesser titles still have things in them that make them worthwhile, and for me, this final segment was it.

Brutus: Well, I definitely know which movie I want to see now. I'll probably like Attackers #109 (as Video Mayhem titles it) even more than you did, since some of things you don't care for (forced piss-drinking, beating up women) are the very things I dig. Hell's Bells: I checked out a local store that stocks lots of horror movies (we are speaking for sale here, not rent), and found available copies of both A Bell from Hell and Night Train Murders. Since A Bell from Hell was less expensive, I bought that one. I'm going to watch it tonight.

Sloth: Four and a half hours? Man, that is one long movie, and it's a whole lotta Randa Mai. Frankly, I think it's great that Attackers is releasing titles like the Super Special movies and the Slave Island movies that are packed full of hours of great stuff. And since Shark Special #37 was the one that most interested me when you mentioned the recent list of movies you ordered, I am looking forward to the review.

Certainly, it is impressive to find a mainstream movie that shows three attractive women who are stripped naked, gagged with duct tape, and bound to hooks so that they hang in the air like cows in a slaughter house. The hooks even move on a trolley and the hanging women are moved over to an area with tables where they would be cut open like cattle (if not for the nutty villain suddenly flipping out).

But the GIMP scenes depicted in the daily photos only run for a total of about three minutes. It's a nice three minutes, but that's all it is.

The movie does have a rape scene and a few other GIMP moments, like one of the women getting slapped around, but they're nothing special.

Over all, I would definitely caution mothbrad and others not to shell out huge dollars to see this movie. If it's available for rent in your area, by all means, check it out. But I don't think it's worth buying.

Also, great reviews everyone, especially Brutus. I'm still in the process of waiting for the http://smmax.com/main.htm I posted about in here the other day to cycle through two more movies so I can get my money's worth, but The Human Sandbag is up there right now. It's currently the sixth movie down from the top, and encoded in Divx, so it will look just as good as a DVD on your computer. I've been looking forward to it just from the pics and description on the site, but now because of Brutus's review I can hardly wait!!!!

The movie does have a rape scene...

Now this is a very important detail the others commenting on this movie left out. All of us here have different tastes. For a review to benefit everyone here, anything that puts a woman in peril should be mentioned. I know that no one here is being paid and I AM grateful to those that spend the time and effort to share their knowledge of a movie, but would it require that much more to include every gimp-worthy scene? I haven't done that many reviews, although I intend on doing more, but I do try to remember that certain people like tight gags, asphyx, etc. and mention if those types of scenes are present whether they have anything to do with rape (my primary crank turner) or not. Once again, I want to stress that I appreciate the reviews and reviewers, and this isn't really complaining as much as a request for more information in the future.

Saints preserve us! In my three years on the GIMP site, I've been accused of many things -- making lame jokes, provoking controversy, being on the wrong side of topical issues (preferring Bionic Woman Lindsay Wagner over Wonder Woman Lynda Carter, for example), posting on topics that are only of interest to me, and many other wrongs too numerous to list -- but I have never before been accused of skimping on the details when I write a review.

For the record, I didn't consider my commentary on A Bell from Hell to be an official review. I was just posting some quick thoughts on the movie, which I saw for the first time last night.

If it is helpful, I'm happy to put together a proper review for posterity. It won't be tonight, I'm afraid, as I threw back one too many cold ones a bit earlier this evening at a local pub. But I could put something together in the next few days.

In the interim, I would support what Ralphus wrote. I took the "rape" scene to be a rape, but I could be convinced that it wasn't entirely forced sex. Actually, the scene was such a muddled mess, it is probably open to a variety of interpretations. It certainly wasn't the type of scene that I would endorse or recommend to the GIMP readership. I only mentioned that scene and the face slapping scene in passing, not as true GIMP highlights of the film.

Review of Sad Story Under War #3 (HAVD-286)

After reading A Canadian's negative review of Sad Story Under War in the Movie Reviews, I was very hesitant to order Sad Story Under War #3 (HAVD-286). But I was intrigued by the photos on the box cover, so I went ahead and ordered it from Video Mayhem. In my humble opinion, it was well worth its $12 price tag.

In Sad Story Under War #3, Ai Himeno portrays the older sister of a Japanese soldier who has apparently deserted his unit during World War II. (Video Mayhem's description states that Ai is the wife of the soldier, but I think this is incorrect.) Dopple M: I also wish to express my thanks for your review of the latest version of Sad Story Under War. In my view, it's entirely possible that the same type of story can be repeated in another movie, and have a completely different effect, depending on how well the actors perform, etc. The Japanese seem to have some stories they love to keep telling -- teacher gets blackmailed and is forced to strip and submit, sexy super agent is drugged and becomes a total nympho, wife gets raped by gangsters in front of her husband -- and the sad war story seems to be one of them. Yet, for all these types of movies, the success of each telling can vary from film to film. So my earlier review is not necessarily an indictment of the whole series. I was a bit off on the run time - 3 hours is the movie, there is a 1 hour special, sort of a "The Making Of Shark Special #37" which I found quite entertaining and half hour of previews.

Movie Pluses - true to form, all the chicks are attractive and natural - I found the last chick with the icy stare most stunning closely followed by the schoolgirl. Movie Minuses - for the first 30 minutes imagine viewing Pulp Fiction for the first time in a foreign language and trying to figure out the overlapping sequences and scene changes. I finally got it but not til the end. There is no forced sex of any kind in this effort - major no-no.

The Verdict - I wish I could give it a slightly higher grade but I was expecting some kind of rape or forced sex. All in all, not too bad and well worth $12.00.

The setting is a small rural outbuilding, straw mats on the floor and sparsely furnished. An off screen voice questions her and she responds with a grin on her face. The spectacled tormentor begins on screen binding, wrists behind and upper body wrap. She is lifted and secured to overhead bamboo pole balancing on her toes. A waist rope is applied, extended to a crotch rope and secured back to her waist. He opens her top and toys with her breasts. She keeps position shifting to find comfort to no avail. Add to that she sold me on the scenes - not over or under acted, just about what I would expect of the situation. I enjoyed the multiple on screen tying scenes some of which could almost be a how-to manual.

Movie Minuses - did not dig the smiling at start and finish - throw those out and I was impressed.

The Verdict - This is one of the better efforts I've viewed lately. This bunch seems to know how to produce one of these and I'll be looking for others in this series. If not for the smiles and seeming consent this would rate an A-.....as it stands it gets a...?

Don't think I'm singling out the least impressive part of a very nice review, but this seems to be a feature of these Japanese movies - nice, long running time. As someone who in my early days of B&D video buying often got burned paying large amounts of money for 40 minutes of film (and even then, with maybe 10-20 minutes of filler), this is a great thing.

As for A Canadian's comment about consensual movies - normally I'd agree with you 100% (I HATE anything that smacks of Master/Slave interplay), the running length and quality of scenes seems to me to mean that you can easily edit out the opening and closing, and enjoy the middle, substantial part of the video without fear of 'niceness' creeping in. My analogy is with the 'public' (fun loving, happy, groovy chick) persona of Lisa Kinkaid, as opposed to the parts she plays (victimised girl being tortured against her will for our enjoyment). Personally, though, my fantasy girl is someone who's just the opposite of what you described. Ralphus - Good for you selling your old VHS. I did that years ago on eBay and made a mint. This was before dvd had really got big. I remember selling an original of "Victims" for $95.00. My biggest was an original of "Salon Kitty" for $120.00. I had an uncut version of "Emmanuelle in America" that sold for over $100 too. We pervs will pay top dollar! Perhaps it's true there are some people who are struggling with the new technology. Although I would say it's time for them to get caught up. At my local "video" rental store, for example, you can't find VHS tapes any more -- it's all DVD.

Having said that, I'm just not sold on Jeff's people on fixed incomes argument. I'm not being heartless. On the contrary, I think a cheap DVD player is at least as inexpensive these days as a cheap VCR -- maybe cheaper. And to be frank, I would guess that anyone who can afford to spend $58 to buy a copy of Spine isn't someone who's on the verge of homelessness.

Review: I just added "The Hunting Party (1971)" to my list of movie scenes. (See URL above) It's a western and features Candice Bergen (when she was 25) as Mrs. Ruger, the wife of a rich man (Gene Hackman), and Oliver Reed as Frank Calder, an outlaw who kidnaps her, and is the aggressor. Produced in 1984 by Bizarre TriStar, the run time is right at 1 hour.

Starring Georgia Van Helsing as Aunt Karla, Natasha Cole as Lisa, T.J. Shaw as Mr. Thorn and everyone's favorite villain, Jason Whitman as Travis.

We open with Aunt Karla plotting with Mr. Thorn to have her niece Lisa abducted, disciplined and trained. The plan is to have both women abducted then to release Karla, or so she thinks. They arrive at the place where Travis is waiting. He proceeds to jump them. Karla cuffs herself while he fondles Lisa then Lisa is cuffed as well. Ralphus/Aries: With the greatest respect to Travis Lee, Mad Dog, and the many other male villains we know and love, I don't think any of these gents would qualify as the male equivalent of Jessica Alba.
