I guess when I'm watching a bondage film, I tend to identify more with the single villain. It's just more believable, and in my mind, it's potentially more scary for the victim.

Say you're the victim. You've got a group of men around you. They'll likely rape you, sure. They're all after you for the same reason, but they're probably not all nutso. But oppose that scenario to one where you have one psycho, working on his own. You don't know what the hell this guy is going to do to you. He's a loner, for one thing. He doesn't have a bunch of friends that go along with him. They tend to be the most scary. Is he going to rape you? Torture you? Cut you up and kill you? He could do anything he wanted, and there's nobody else around him to stop him.

I think about ZFX movies where there's a single villain, films like Cheerleaders of Perilous U, where it was Chandra Sweet against scary nerd Bryan Dunhill, or Squealer, where it was the doe-eyed blonde waif against the burly football player, and those films tend to hit me on more of a personal level.

It's a good topic. Let's hear from the rest of you. Do you prefer a gang of attackers, or a lone villain? Single psycho vs. rape party? Speak up. The only wrong answer is the one you don't share with the board.

It's an interesting story, I guess, although I have my doubts about this theory.

For one thing, people who want to work sexuality into their movies -- including some GIMP-worthy scenes -- seem to find ways to do it. Just think of some of those movies with Jessica Alba.

I suspect the real problem is that Hollywood has lost much of its creativity, and the erotic thriller is just one of the collateral casualties. These days, it seems every movie pitched to the studios seems to focus on big-budget special effects. Indeed, many of the current movies seem to be based on old comic books, much to the delight of Stan Lee.

If politics is an issue, I suspect it's primarily the "politics" of the almighty dollar. Many studios don't want to distribute movies that are restricted to adults only, because they make less money.

It's always fun to point a finger of blame at the religious right, but in this case I think it's unwarranted. However, those are just my thoughts. I wonder what others think.

Even though Sharon Stone is way past her prime, I have little doubt that Basic Instinct 2 will become a top rental once it hits DVD. People will have no problem paying 4 bucks to watch a dirty movie as long as they can watch in the comfort and privacy of their living room, probably with one hand on the remote and the other hand...elsewhere. You just can't do that in a public theater, or at least you're not supposed to. Ask Pee-wee Herman.

I'm convinced that the reason porn is so popular now is that you don't have to put on a trenchcoat and go out to a seedy part of town to find an x-rated theater like people used to have to do back in the olden days. Judging from the pictures I have seen online, I believe the movie's star, Shinobu Rei, is quite attractive. And the still photos from the Attackers site suggests this flick has a combination of bondage, wax torture, and rape. So I would think this is one to watch for.

After a year's wait, Rick Masters and ZFX finally have a new release out, expected to be their last one for quite a while. And once again, the long wait was worth it. The Jackbooth Job is an amalgam of two separate movies, filmed several years apart and skillfully blended into one feature-length entertainment.

Half the story features footage that was filmed clear back in the year 2000, starring dark-haired beauty Kelly McKay as an adult bookstore manager. She and her male assistant are intending to close up shop when one final customer saunters in and heads straight for the adult peepbooth in the back of the store. Once inside, the customer, played by veteran ZFX performer Travis Lee, picks out a film called "Midnite Attacker" as his viewing choice. And this is where we get to see the movie inside of a movie, running about 40 minutes, and featuring brand new footage that was shot just a few months ago.

"Midnite Attacker" stars newcomer Amber Bliss, a tall, slender babe with small tits and long, beautiful wavy red hair. She's attacked at knifepoint by a masked intruder, played by another ZFX veteran, Jon O'Brien. O'Brien proves he really knows how to play a villain. After handgagging and threatening the whimpering girl, he helps himself by groping her body and pulling away some of her clothing. Then he whips out a rope and slowly strangles the poor girl to unconsciousness, causing her to piss uncontrollably through her pantyhose.

After she comes to, the intruder keeps the rope around her neck and forces Amber to lick up her own piss off the floor, a degrading scene that gets its punch mainly through O'Brien's intensely mean style of verbal abuse. Amber cries well and does her best, but unfortunately, you couldn't really see her licking up much piss, which would have made it even more humiliating for her and exciting for us. There's also a shot where you can tell the rope isn't really all that tight around her neck, either. I totally appreciated what Masters was trying to do; I just wish he could have pulled off the illusion a little better.

The next scene has Amber bound spreadeagle to large metal shelving unit, still wearing her clothing, but that won't last long. O'Brien comes along and gags her mouth with a yellow ballgag, then uses a scissors to cut away her top, then her skirt, all the while laughing and taunting her and clearly enjoying her tearful wailing through her gag. He peels down her pantyhose and fingers her shaved pussy. As far as bondage foreplay goes, it really doesn't get any better than this. This is a fantastic scene, with great direction and perfect performances from both villain and victim.

Nothing happens here except we get treated to some nice shots of Amber's naked body struggling in bondage, with her fabulous red hair flowing nicely around her face.

Her evil captor next forces Amber, naked and kneeling on the ground with her wrists tied behind her, to suck on his erect dick. As in all ZFX productions, the dick is artificial, but that actually works better in this case because it enables him to shoot an overly large amount of cum into her mouth and onto her face, choking her and leaving the degraded girl with her chin a dripping mess. Another top notch scene.

Things don't get any easier for poor Amber. She is then tied face-forward leaning over a desk, with her hands bound in front of her and her ankles corded to the sides of the desk. O'Brien stuffs what appears to be a padded black stocking into her mouth and knots it around her neck. Even after that huge cum shot, he apparently still has enough left in him to rape Amber violently from behind, even using the rope to choke her while he pounds away at her.

This leads us back to Travis, still watching the movie inside the booth. The store is closed and Kelly is knocking on the door to get him to leave so they can go home. Taking advantage of the fact that the store has a huge variety of sex toys, Travis does a little shopping and returns with something else to use on Kelly. Then he shoves a long, scary-looking butt plug up her ass and tapes it inside. People might argue over which half of the movie works better, and in mind, it's pretty close. While the gorgeous Kelly McKay rings my bell in a big way, I have to give the edge to the footage with Amber Bliss. She's quite an impressive new performer, and she and Jon O'Brien sell every scene they have together. Putting a strong villain together with a crying, scared victim equals true bondage entertainment in my mind. And overall, this is another very strong effort from ZFX. Loaded with standout scenes with two hot women, even the most jaded perv is bound to find something to like here. This one's a winner.

Or you put in either a $1, $5, $10 or $20 bill. And depending on the timing mechanism you get anywhere between 30 secs to one minutes for your buck.

With that in mind, the 40 minute video "Midnight Attacker" would've cost our buddy Travis anywhere between $40 to $80 to view.

It's no wonder he was looking to rob a safe!!!

I thought the Ralphus review of the Jackbooth Job was great, but I don't know that I'm completely sold on Amber Bliss. It's hard to tell from the still photos whether her face is attractive or not.

I do like the fact that Jon O'Brien returned for the new footage. This gives me hope that we may see the return of other ZFX stars. Maybe even Lisa.

One question for Ralphus or others who have seen the Jackbooth Job on DVD: are there any interesting extras or other features?

Oh, and here's a feature you don't see every day. The official Jackbooth Job music video! Seriously. There's an extra segment on the DVD called "The Jackbooth Song" sung by "The Jackstreet Boys". It's basically a 2-minute long trailer of the movie edited to a song that tells the story of the movie. The song isn't great, but the footage...whoa. Let's just say this video will never be shown on MTV, not even real late at night.

This may be seem odd to some, but I've only been in a "jackbooth" once in my life. I went with some friends mainly to see what one was like. Even then, I thought it was a rip-off how that window would come sliding down after about a minute, and you would have to put in another token. Places like that must make a fortune. It doesn't make any sense to me why a guy would do that instead of just renting a video and watching it in the comfort of his home, instead of in a dingy little booth.

First off, thanks to Ralphus for his in depth review of The Jackbooth Job. Your efforts here are always appreciated.

Travis: Good to see you here bro, but I have to disagree on the roster of people Kelly has worked with. She worked with Mad Dog, Wayne Dog, Uncle Fester, PC Cole, and in fact did some gang attack scenes with 4 or 5 guys at once in the Underland series. Your memory is getting foggy, or possibly frozen from those cold ass winters, lol. In fairness, I look through this stuff more frequently that you, I know its probably been a while since you have looked at these older shows.

Travis did a great job on the movie and getting things together up there. Without his efforts the shows shot in Minneapolis would not have been done.

Kelly did a super job on this movie as well. Unfortunately, I was only able to shoot her one night while I was up there. I got off the plane and like 4 hours later I was shooting the Jackbooth Job. All my gear was shipped there and was frozen, but somehow it still functioned and we were able to do it.

As Ralphus mentioned, the Midnite Attacker sub-movie with Jon Obrien and Amber Bliss was added recently to fill out the story a bit and add some scenes. They really did some great scenes together, there was some real chemistry. Amber is a natural at this and is also one hell of a looker. Jon is a very talented actor, and he can really bring the sinister villains to life.

Ralphus mentioned the yellow ball, white tape gag scene with Kelly before she is forced into the basement. MY memory a bit foggy on this. I dont think the actual tie up portion of that exists. It may have gotten covered up accidentally, or I may not have shot it, intending to shoot it later. I am really inclined to think the latter. Then things got hectic and portions of the show were shot out of sequence and thus it was probably overlooked. We shot most of the stuff upstairs in the actual store last. There was actually 6-8 people milling about as we shot, not just one. It was bar time at that point and apparently porn shops get a rush at that hour. We didnt shoot any nude stuff so that wasnt a problem, but keeping people out of the shot was tough. The store staff fanned out and got people to duck but if you look closely you can see a blurred head or two in some of those shots. Travis is walking through the store with a gun to Kellys head through several takes and people are standing around going, hmm, what is this? It was pretty surreal.

Jackbooth Song: The Jackstreet Boys are kinda like the Backstreet Boys except they only play in porn shops and have a helluva lot more fun with rope...I just had a tune made in Soundtrack and wrote some lyrics and had singer friend give it a wail and put it to a trailer and wallah, instant number one hit! Ok, its not getting heavy rotation on MTV, but what the hell, a bondage music video.. its time had come and probably gone already=/

The Howling: Oh how I love that movie, most particularly the Dante made portions. That was great stuff Ralphus posted a while back, thought Id never get to see more of that clip. Anyhoo, I dont know if it inspired Jackbooth, it had a different dynamic, but I definitely like that scene and those type scenes.

I do a lot of movie in a movie stuff, people video taping their evil deeds for later amusement or profit, forcing others to watch, etc. I definitely like the idea of using it as a tool to humiliate a victim by making a permanent record of their ordeal. Its a good multi purpose plot device. It also makes a good way to tie together disparate story lines or scenes.

Ralphus brings the product to light with a super review and Rick gives the Director's Cut which is rarer than anyone can believe now that competition has gotten better out there. It is apparent that Rick is a true historian as well as one can see some of the old HOM techniques employed so effectively. Rick uses better than average gals but not outrageous models with a lot of phony to them.

Additionally, only Rick and the Japanese producers like Attackers have the gals in a natural professional dress like they work normal jobs. The gals wear dresses and pantyhose which is a very effective alternative to the usual jean attire. It looks like Jackbooth is a winner and from Ralphus opinions, I will have to find out for sure. I am anxious to see some of the old classics like Squealer on DVD.

Title: The Jackbooth Job

Stars: Kelly McKay, Amber Bliss, Jon O'Brien, Travis Lee and Billy Boyd

Looking at the glowing reports so far about The Jackbooth Job, I can't help but think absence has made the heart grow fonder.

It's true that this movie -- the first new ZFX title in more than a year, and probably the last new release for the immediate time being -- has its moments. But I wonder if this movie would be getting the same praise if it had been released in a year that had plenty of new ZFX titles? Frankly, in my view, this movie is OK, but nothing special.

Since Ralphus and others have already reported on the plot details, I won't waste time rehashing the same ground. Instead, here are my general thoughts on the Jackbooth Job.

I agree with Ralphus that the first half of the movie -- the movie-within-a-movie segment, called Midnite Attacker -- is the better part of the film.

Unfortunately, the heroine in the Midnite Attacker section -- Amber Bliss -- is kinda plain looking. I liked her thin body and her nice, natural breasts, but her face didn't do much for me. Her somewhat big nose and dark eyebrows were a little offputting. Although I can see how some people might find her cute, in her own way, she is no threat to the legacy of great ZFX starlets of years gone by.

All the same, Amber has real acting talent. Some of the early scenes, where Jon O'Brien is holding her captive at knifepoint, are great. Amber truly looks scared and is completely convincing, adding an erotic charge to the parts where O'Brien strips off some of her clothes.

Then there's the scene, after Amber has already pissed herself, where O'Brien puts Amber's face down to the bathroom floor and forces her to stick out her tongue and lick up her own urine. The look of disgust on Amber's crying face is perfect. For my money, this is the best scene in the movie.

Amber's other scenes -- including ones where she gets shocked by electric charges, and the one where she is raped doggie-style over a desk -- are fine. Nothing remarkable, although I did like the way O'Brien was pulling Amber's hair while he was raping her.

It was the second part of the movie -- the section featuring Kelly McKay and Travis Lee -- that left me feeling disappointed.

Certainly, that disappointment had nothing to do with Kelly McKay's looks. For my money, the tall brunette looks sexier in this movie than in many of her other ZFX films. Regrettably, I just didn't think much of the performances.

The scenes where Kelly gets zapped with the stun gun lacked spark (pun intended), and her whipping scene also seemed uninspired. As Ralphus noted, it didn't help that Travis often remained quiet throughout these scenes.

There is one good scene, where Kelly is crouched down with her arms tied behind her back, and is forced to give Travis a blow job, ending in a slow-motion facial. For the most part, however, it seems Kelly has given better performances in other movies.

It's too bad that Kelly's character never got raped. As well, while the movie has plenty of scenes of women being tied up, sometimes to the roof, the movie doesn't have any scenes where the victim is actually lifted off the ground -- something I always like to see.

Overall assessment: recommended, with a few qualifications.

I was fortunate I was able to rent this movie, rather than buy it. For those GIMPers whose only option is to purchase it, I would suggest only buying it if you can get it for a reasonable price. The Jackbooth Job is worth seeing -- particularly for the scene where Amber licks up her own piss -- but it probably isn't a keeper.

Best scene in the movie? Nope, not the forced piss-drinking scene, at least not in my opinion. Could have been, and I love degradation, but it wasn't quite explicit enough for me. But then I like grosser stuff than a lot of people around here. I will admit the scene was extremely well-acted by both performers.

Best scene for me came right after that, when Amber is tied to the shelving unit, and O'Brien gags her and slowly cuts off her clothing. I've seen it all done before, but that's a classic scenario and I never get tired of seeing a tied-up girl get her clothes cut away. It's a perfect combination of bondage and humiliation, and this was about as good as they come. Rick was right when he said the two of them had great chemistry.

Like you, I would have liked to have seen Kelly get raped, or hung up by her wrists. At least Rick used her sexually with the blow job scene. Sometimes an actress may not agree to be raped, I don't know. I'm trying to think if Kelly has ever done a rape scene. I can't remember it if she has. She's definitely done the hung up by the wrists thing before, since Travis hung her up in Video Pirates 4 (You're right, DHT, she looked damn hot with that long hair).

I think if you compare the Amber/John scenes with the Kelly/Travis scenes, the main difference is that O'Brien was the more vocal villain, which gave their scenes more intensity. I've said for years how important it is to have a strong villain to go along with an expressive victim. When you can get both elements working together, it's going to make any scene work even better.

She also had a gang rape scene, where two men appeared to rape her, in Underland 2 -- although I don't think there were any actual penetration shots in that one.

Although she was clearly willing to do rape scenes, it does seem possible Kelly was fussy about who got to rape her, and under what circumstances. Then again, maybe there just wasn't a rape in this particular script.

Perhaps Travis can solve this mystery the next time he posts.

Anyway, once we reach the stage where a significant number of GIMPers have seen this movie, I think there are three subjects that could be put to a poll:

1) piss-slurping scene -- yay or nay (as mentioned previously, that was my favorite scene in the movie)

2) Amber Bliss -- yay or nay

3) fake penises -- too much of a distraction, or a necessary evil?

On the subject of fake penises, I will state that they don't bother me, although I prefer it when the fake penises aren't too fake looking. I remember there was one fake penis in the Marly Rowe gang rape scene in South of the Border 5 that was pretty annoying because it really didn't look anything like a penis. And even then, I still enjoyed the scene.

To me, it's much like the blurring effects in Japanese rape scenes. As a rule, I am fine with it. My priorities in a rape scene are that the victim must be attractive and the victim must truly look helpless. Whenever those two goals are achieved, I can overlook the penis issue.

I doubt Something Weird would give him any money for his comps. Even though I'm pretty sure they were made up almost exclusively from public domain material, it's unlikely he has any monetary rights to the movies that made up his collection. They were basically his own private compilation tapes that he sold to fans.

As far as contacting him, I'm not even sure I even have his old e-mail address, or for that manner, if it would even still work. The whole reason he gave up the website was because he was getting married and moving away from the online life. I haven't heard a thing from him ever since he gave me permission to host his old WSIMD database, and that's been a few years now. I suspect that like Tony Wood who ran the Torture Rack Scenes Database, he might have vanished from cyberspace, never to return. That's just my theory, anyway.

A Canadian: On the fake penis question, it doesn't bother me. I don't watch a rape scene to see a guy's dick. I don't really have to see any actual penetration at all. Simulated is fine. Same thing with the pixillation in Japanese movies. I can tell what's going on. I just want to see a pretty girl taken against her will. Realistic is better, obviously, but I want to see fear and distress, not necessarily close ups of genitals colliding.

It's a good question, though. What do others think? Do fake penises ruin the illusion for you? Give us your opinions.

The woman in the picture is Miki Tachibana, and she has some lengthy scenes in the movie where she is tormented with a vibrator while strapped into that chair. In the same movie, Mika Siina also gets tormented in that chair.

I know that chairs are used in lots of general bondage and gimp stories and movies, but it just seems to me (at least in my imagination) that there is a whole bunch of ways that you could torment women in different types of chairs. Some of the older movies that Miki appears in are JB-011, SHK-064 and GM-011. The latter is kind of an off-beat movie, but pretty good if you are into humiliation. Dressed in nice business attire and heels, she is forced to slowly undress by her boss in a deserted office, showing some tears as she pushes down her panties and lifts her mini-skirt, displaying her wild, bushy covered vagina. Even pixeled, her long, disheveled pubic hair is apparent. Miki ends up tied and gagged. She is also stuffed in a large trash bin, on wheels by a janitor type guy. She is rolled up on the roof of the building and forced to give head while still in the trash bin, with only her face showing above the rim of the bin. The movie is a little different than most but I found it to be quite arousing, especially because I am into the girl (Miki).

After lengthy deliberation, my vote is a tie. Younger victims often offer tighter, more athletic bodies, but older victims often offer a greater sense of shame/indignity in being victimized.

Reasons?

Cuter faces, with younger bodies.

Also smaller bodies. I like a lean, taut look, but older women (because of childbirth, for an example) spread more, their hips get wider, their tits get bigger. I like smaller better.

I also like the way younger women are less cynical and carry less baggage. Yes, it's unfair to older women, yes, we all age and life is unfair and life sucks, but I just am not attracted to older women. Age 18 to 30 maximum is definitely better, always.

I'm a fan of ZFX because of their nature not to focus on the girl being tied up, but having more action done to the girl. I'm also a fan of David Knight bondage because of their storylines which brings more depth to the film.

In bondage films, just like in real life, I want to see younger women get the treatment because I'm attracted to them. I'll admit I'm an ageist, but I just lose interest in women once they start getting older. I'm like just Hugh Hefner or Billy Joel or Donald Trump (only not as rich and a whole lot shorter). When they get too old, replace them with a new, younger model. There are plenty of them out there.

Personally, I don't consider age to be the deciding factor. While I guess I generally prefer victims who are in their early- to mid-20s, I have no objections to an older victim, like Miki, who is attractive and sexy and is a great performer. And if Lisa Kinkaid comes out of semi-retirement (or whatever stage of retirement she is in), she will have my unqualified support.

Overall, however, I would repeat that age isn't the deciding factor for me. Some porn stars look great at different ages. And I am someone who would love to see a lot more from Miki Tachibana.

There is NO rape or simulated rape in his vids, also no whipping, hanging, or violence. There usually only a string thin story, it is mostly just tied up women.

Dominic uses a lot more rope than many. Thick bands of white rope encircle his models usually in about five or six different places. In his earlier Harmony stuff he wasn't very good at getting good closeups, but he improved very quickly. As far as I know, the cduniverse.com list is the complete list of ZFX movies released on DVD so far, so I believe the other titles aren't available yet. I know the Voodoo Dolls movies haven't been released on DVD, although there have been trailers for these movies on some recent ZFX titles -- so they are likely coming soon (remembering that "soon" is a relative term, since the transfer of ZFX movies to DVD is a slow process). I'm not familiar with the Incubus movies, but it looks like they are also on the still-to-be-released list.

It's funny, though, that I can't find any online listings for this DVD release. Perhaps Ralphus is right and they're trying to sneak this one out the door. I will provide an update once I know for sure.

Grey: I don't know if this qualifies as a personal experience, but I certainly enjoy the Japanese torture and rape movies. In fact, I prefer the Japanese movies to most of what is released these days by the American producers -- the Japanese production values are much better, and some of the victims are quite hot. The victims usually don't have enhanced breasts, and they rarely have tattoos.

I have mentioned this before, but the American porn industry has some Asian-American stars that I would love to see in some good bondage movies -- particularly Kaylani Lei (see link in my URL).
