1. It has a hip plot with a considerable amount of humor and social commentary, sci-fi oriented if possible- ZFX has always done a great job in this departament!

2. The non-torture scenes constitute about 10-15% of the video, not more.

3. The villains may talk, and sometimes they have cool lines, but during the actual torture scenes, esp. penetration they allow the victim to scream away without interruption. The camera stays away from the villains masks/faces for the duration of a particular torture scene, i.e. no close-ups.

4. Each of the actresses has an "initial capture" scene, hand over mouth, with very strong vocal protesting/struggling. She may also be cholorformed, but not "knocked out" in any other fashion, always an inintial HOM. An exellent example that comes to mind is Chandra's in the Whiplash series.

5. Simplicity is the key. The less extraneous restraining decices the better (at least in my opinion). The victims face/eyes always remains unobscured.

6. The victim is always gagged, unless she has something to say according to the plot. She is constantly moaning, protesting, etc. as much as she can. The most exciting aspect of extreme bondage films to me is the "sound" of theactress. I rate bondage actresses not only on how they look, but also how they sound, i.e. react to torture/penetration. Penelope, Chandra and Kelly McKay from Video Pirates series are examples of quality sounding actresses. Lisa has her moments and seems to be improving, if "Whiplash 4" is any indication. But others, such as the "prostitute" from "Blunt Trauma 3/4" and the victim from Rage vs. Machine are virtually silent throughout their ordeal. The amount of moaning must correlate to the severity of the torture, especially at the moment of anal penetration. Fellatio also should involve as much moaning as possible, the sound of a mouthful of cum is a huge turn on.

7.My dream video contains at least three victims, a la Video Pirates 5. All of them are penetrated in three entrances, at least one analy. The penetrations, should for the most part involve simulated sexual contact as opposed to what are according to the plot clearly dildos. If that is difficult to get through legaly, I guess the dildos would do.In the exellent anal/doggystyle sequence in "Whiplash 4", Lisa reacts very appropriatley and the camerawork is top notch. This is the way it should be done. The scene's great realism comes from it's length, the girl's strong response, and the considerable amount of time allowed for insertion/dismounting: very important! Rick must show that the actors are unzipping, etc. :they can't penetrate the victim with their pants still on!

8. The soundtrack is far enough in the background not to drown out the proceedings, esp. female moaning.

9. Hand spankings/paddlings/flaggelation with household objects, to me are sexier than huge prop whips. Any domestic/realistic-looking environments are also more exciting than exotic dungeons. The "stairway escape attempt" from Gangland 2 was very well done, except for Kerri's lack of vocal response.

10. ZFX does a very good job on tight skirts/outfits on the victims at the moment of capture. Almost never a dissapointment.

Futureshock is one of the all-time great ZFX tapes, IMO. Two excellent electric shock scenes, plus a real nice bondage rape, and a killer multi-clothespins all over the body treatment for Victoria Vixxen.

I don't recall any tape where a girl has her own high heel pushed in her ass (An interesting idea, though...That would please both shoe fetishists AND ass men!). However, in Night Prowler 2, Holly Weston has her panties shoved up there, in the same scene where she is raped by Travis Lee. That was a really excellent segment.

The "haunted house" tapes you are probably referring to are probably Chamber of Horrors and Dance Macabre, which also had a sequel. None of these tapes did a lot for me as a whole, but there were some good sequences I liked, especially in Dance Macabre, where the big-busted blonde is stripped and eventually raped by an unseen villain.

I recently rented 4 ZFX new releases: "Underland", "As Darkness Falls", "Robopimp" and "Whiplash 4".

I have to agree with Ralphus on the B- rating for "Robopimip", although I was pleased with Lisa Kinkaid's acting. The final sequence was quite good and imaginative, especially when the "pimp" did not talk- one of the best "fellatio" scenes Lisa had ever done. "ADF", has good potential, but Lisa's partner underacts badly and does not react adequately to penetration. Frequent closeups of the Monkey Man are a bad move also, they should only be included in between scenes. A B- without a doubt.

"Underland", on the other hand, clearly deserves a better grade, in my opinion, a B at least. It's only problem is the unclear plot and the fact that Kelly McKay is not penetrated (and the penetration scene of the other actress is not naturalistic enouqh- see my previous posting) Both actresses, for once, moan with appropriate conviction. And the silence from the villains is not nessecerely a bad idea, especially due to some actors' occasional overacting and talking a bit too much.

"Whiplash 4" was definitely the best recent release, albeit all too brief and containing some filler, a B overall. It contains some A level scenes, though, some of Lisa's best. First she's CHLOROFORMED quite nicely, and then, as if Rick has read my mind, we are blessed with an amazing anal/doggystyle? penetration sequence which actually lasts a good 3-5 minutes(very realistic timing),by Zed (is his name a refference to the "Pulp Fiction" character? )Black. Overall, the scene ranks in the top 10 or even top 5 of the entire ZFX catalogue: exactly how such scenes should be done! Lisa's acting is clearly at her best. The scene with the vaccum cleaner involving another actress is also top notch, especially her response. The lenghty electric torture of Lisa is unnessesary in my opinion, and virtually no inclusion of scenes with Chandra is dissaponting. Whiplash 2 also looks like a good tape, since it must have contained the bulk of Chandra scenes.

1) "Virtuous", attractive, well-toned babe (e.g. Candi Licks) that vocalizes anguish at appropriate times and with appropriate severity.

2) Lots of special effects are not needed, but good camera work is required (not too much unsteadiness in movement)

3) Spreadeagles! I always why there aren't more of these shots since they are (IMHO) the most erotic... to have the beauty totally helpless and stretched out, completely accesible.

4) Stringent bondage which brings arms back and legs back but allows accessible breasts and vagina.

5) Complete nudity is always great, without shoes.

6) Fondling!! Simulated penetration is great (particularly when added to a story of unstoppable machine-driven torture), but fondling should be used often and for a long time. My favorite scene would be of the stroking of the legs and arms leading to slow fondling of breasts and vagina (with reaction from "victim"), while she is completely spreadeagle. Simulated lesbian oral sex on a spreadeagle victim would be awesom after the fondling. Keep producting the ZFX films! They are the best out there and hope you don't have problems hiring new bondage babes!

The woman leave her tied up, and then kidnap a business executive, chloroforming her and when she wakes up she's tied to a chair. One of her captors questions her, using the bag to cut off her air while the other uses a vibrator to make her cum and keep her out of breath. She finally talks, and is chloroformed. Afterwards she and the security guard meet to talk about tracking down their captors, and getting even.

Lisa Kinkaid is tortured to unconsciousness with a plastic bag over her head in War Pigs 2. This happens right after she is raped by two men and tied up.

Chandra Sweet gets the bag treatment twice. In Phantacide Peepshow 2, she is overcome with the bag before being subdued and tied to a chair. And in Cheerleaders of Perilous U., she is tied to an overstuffed chair and her captor plays breathing games with her by using the bag and the vacuum-type hose again. He lets her breathe, then doesn't, and finally ends up sticking the other end of her breathing hose into her pussy! This is my favorite of all the ZFX tapes, mainly because Masters goes entertainingly over the line in this scene. The whole tape, however, is excellent.

People into plastic bag scenes would enjoy the Insex site at www.insex.com, but it costs $30 a month so have a look at the preview pages first and see if you like it. They do live action scenes (if you don't catch them, the photos are archived) and the girls are all real participants who are into it for the same reasons we are, rather than models (i.e. the bag scenes are genuine - no hidden holes and acting etc.). This doesn't mean they don't get paid - I don't know. My only incentive for plugging them is that the talk often matches that in here: I think they're successful enough not to need the extra money just now... However, this is not to run down Rick's work in any way, which makes by far the most imaginative use of models in the trade.

I'm going to try and see some more of his videos next time I visit the US, even if it means paying full whack price just to look at them for 5 days in the hotel (can't imagine Blockbusters has them for rental...). That's how much I like them...

One idea I'd like to see developed is prolonged caging, with acted (or real!) claustrophobia attacks. In addition to the actual torture scenes, I'd like to see it portrayed or suggested on screen that the girl has been captive for days or weeks, hasn't seen daylight for ages because she's been locked in the cellar of the evil kidnapper, is now broken and despairing, knowing that she's beyond help. All it would take is a brief setup shot ("8 days later..") and some stage-managing to make a scene where she is slumped in her chains, obviously in long-term bondage and captivity, when the door opens and she looks up in abject fear as they come for her yet again, dragging her to the torture room for the hundredth time...

It would make a nice change from having everything happen on the same day, and add an extra twist to those of us who are into the whole 'abduction' thing as well as the straight torture. Those of us who fantasize about tracking down Susan that we knew in high school, kidnapping her and keeping her in a dark cellar for a few months of forced sex. What do you think ? Rick ? Anyone ?

Another very interesting novel from the 70's was Let's Go Play at the Adams by Mendal Johnson. A college student babysitter wakes up one morning to discover that in the middle of the night she's been chloroformed, bound to the bed, and gagged by the children she's been watching. Perhaps a woman could recieve a set of cute dolls, who in the middle of the night make her their prisoner, and then molest her helpless body once she awakens. Just some thoughts.

"Lets Go Play at the Adams" was a great book, but I don't think ZFX can touch someone else's copyrighted story. And your idea about dolls that come to life and attack the babysitter would be really hard to pull off technically, plus it's sort of a silly idea, if you ask me. What's wrong with, maybe, a REAL PERSON doing the deed? Don't put dumb ideas in Masters' head, or he might make another sex-crazed spider movie! :)

I think I've mentioned before that "Cheerleaders of Perilous U." is my favorite of all the ZFX titles. Ironically, it was withdrawn from the public almost immediately after it was originally released, because of some idiotic law that implied it was kiddie porn because one of the characters had her hair in pigtails! What?! That's what I thought... Fortunately, the law was changed and the video was re-released, albeit AFTER the SEQUEL came out!

If you've never seen it, ORDER IT! It stars Chandra Sweet, maybe the most popular of all the ZFX performers, and Brian Dunhill, who's excellent as the nerdy Ernie, who kidnaps cheerleader Tiffany (Chandra) to keep her from performing in a competion. I won't give much away except to say that he puts sweet Chandra through a series of tortures, including electric shock, whipping, force-feeding, asphyxiation and more, and she's a very convincing crier! Anyone else have any favorites?

Although they are undoubtedly the best in legal US bondage, most ZFX videos are somewhat inconsistent. It's easier to think up favorite scenes rather than favorite tapes. I have to confess that I haven't seen as many ZFX films as I'd like. I can't afford to buy'em all, and the place where I rent them offers only recent releases and discards the old ones.

From what I've seen, the "Video Pirates" saga, circa'94-95, esp. part 1, which involves a chloro-knockout scene, and pt. 5, with very realistic looking penetrations, and great response from two out of three actresses (esp. Kelly McKay), despite its awful production quality, is probably the best and the nastiest ZFX that I'm aware of.

I'm guessing that anything featuring Chandra Sweet as a victim (she often plays a villain's sidekick) should be darn good, since she is probably the best sounding of the ZFX girls. Videos which she greatly enhanced were The Trojan Horse series (esp. "Hard Down Easy", also with a great Lisa Kinkaid doggystyle hardcore sequence), "Whiplash 2", and a few others. I suggest reading the synopses of the videos and looking for Chandra in the lead role. She dates as far back as the "Alien Probe" series, I think. Correct me if I'm wrong...

Penelope Pace is also very consistent, as she also is in Close-up concepts. She usually sounds great and sometimes act out sheer terror. The first few "Blunt Trauma" tapes have her, before breast enlargement, undergoing every concievable form of torture, force feeding, electric, anal and oral penetration. Later she change her appearance and now looks kind of like Jamie Lee Curtis with tits. I'm guessing her recent videos aren't bad either.

Lisa Kinkaid is unbelivably cute, but not always great in her response. Sometimes she's rather passive, other times irresistable in her pleading and utter submission.

As far as "Cheerleaders" that Ralphus recommends, I have only one problem with it. In my opinion, the guy who plays Bernie tends to overact and his laugh becomes annoying. I don't know about part 1, since I only saw pt.2. Rick himself makes for a better villain, as he's more subtle and less cartoonish.

My favorite ZFX theme so far has been the "Blunt Trauma" scenario, where females are captured and "broken in" in preparation for a lifetime of sexual slavery. I've fantasised about this kind of stuff long before I've even heard of ZFX. Unfortunately, not all of the actresses in that particular series are very good.
