Paul Naschy stars in this classic of the dungeon genre. Women are tortured until they confess of witchcraft. One particular scene opens with a hot coal brought out of a fire and applied directly to the upper chest of an unfortunate victim. She lets out a scream and her sweating, unclothed body writhes in pain. Rather than confess, she continues to renounce the inquisitors until they proceed to rip off one of her nipples with a pincher, and soon after she dies under the duress of the torture. The coal is applied onscreen, but the actual branding scene is very brief.
