It is one thing to play act like those Cruel World girls do but to agree to a really hard whipping making welts like she took must have meant she was desperate for money or she was made to accept it. I am be pretty certain she didn't do it because she enjoys being whipped. Enjoy.

I guess the line between fantasy and reality can get a little blurred. It can be difficult to get a realistic effect. Mostly these sorts of scenes are theatrical.
