Re: Experimenting with Stable Diffusion
But if Caligula himself wanted to have a peek, he could drug her before combat. Or send in ten men at once. Or seize her in her sleep. Or falsely accuse her of treason, torture a confession out of her and send her to be crucified.xs70 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 02, 2026 6:30 pm 46 AD, Caligula's reign. Her armor is designed to titillate and will come off easily for the man who beats her in combat. Although that's easier said than done; she's killed the last three males who wanted to take a look at what's underneath that breastplate.

Hm, yeah. I posted that image because I thought she looked hot.
I usually create some form of backstory for an image that speaks to me (I make images, the stories come afterwards) but what I have isn't always very coherent and it's hard to put down in words.
What I had in mind was: Roman society has become degenerate by the time of Caligula, and throughout the Roman empire arena games have become more lurid. Games that Roman citizens can participate in. If you can beat the pretty Dacian girl in combat you can do with her whatever you want in the arena, first come first serve, that sort of thing. With a Roman twist that the girl can actually win, and then that's great as well, it's all entertainment. I wrote something like that initially but I edited it out because it felt silly.
Thing is, I try to keep my leading texts short, so people can interpret the image I'm posting in a sense that appeals to them. I'm not sure that's working. I'm almost struggling more with these leading texts than with the images themselves. Note that lately I've been posting just the image without any textual framing for that reason. But then I also don't know if that's any better. The life of a perfectionist.

I was thinking more along those other lines because I have a few dozen short stories, started but unfinished, that I try to enrich with some images, part AI, part editing. One is about a half roman half german girl, who grows up hating the romans because she is persuaded that ther german mother was raped by a roman centurion, resulting in her birth. Later she is captured, trained as a gladiatrix, and tries a Spartacus emulation. Of course it's unsuccesful and the usual things follow. In my mind she looks a lot like the one you posted.xs70 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 06, 2026 7:52 am

Re: Experimenting with Stable Diffusion
Alright, let's try this again.
Re: Experimenting with Stable Diffusion
Nicopolis ad Nestum, Thracia province, 46 AD. Roman mores have lapsed under emperor Caligula, and while the arena was never a place for the faint of heart, the latest trend in games has taken a decidedly more lascivious tone. Due to its proximity to the empire border, the city is supplied with a prime selection of foreign slaves, both male and female, some of which make it into the arena complex.
Meet Priadila. A tender 18 years of age, this pretty Dacian has been selected for the arena games and provided with three months of training. Her armor is designed to titillate and will easily come off. Any Roman male can challenge her to a duel in the arena, where the winner gets to decide the fate of the loser. She's definitely a catch, but caveat emptor - this beauty has already killed the first three men who wanted to take a good look at what's underneath that breastplate.

Today however, the good citizens of Nicopolis are in for a treat! Not only has the pretty blonde finally met her match, having been beaten fair and square by submission under the watchful eye of the summa rudis, but her captor has decided to delight the audience with a flagellatio. Word spreads quickly and the stands are filling up for the coming spectacle.

Ah the wisdom of the ancients... Dancing with the stars, skating with the stars... Whipping the stars has a definitely higher share.xs70 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 07, 2026 5:36 am Today however, the good citizens of Nicopolis are in for a treat!
