Every hour she's inspected to make sure she's still on the metal ridge. If she falls sideways due to lack of pain control, there's no way she could get herself back in the original position unassisted. Should that happen, she's getting an extra hours and she's put back on in the middle of the hellish edge. She heard stories about women spending a full day on the serrated edge, trying to put 4 hours in equilibrium.

Inspired by the drawing of the talented Pyperhaylie. Kudos to him.

Yeah, outstanding example of an unstable equilibrium. Much better than a ball atop a pyramid.

Mornings we all had. Mornings when you wake up and every cell in your body screams to be left alone. Screw the work. Not today.
Not sure if it's an option for a mine slave though. Time will tell.

download/file.php?id=86146&mode=view, These are useless musings, and she should be thankful her accommodations are so comfy. Most mine slaves in these parts are sleeping, if they can, on the stone floor.

Long time since I last hijacked JD's thread...

During the night Silver Moon helped the pretty paleface prisoner escape. Her tribe was not pleased. Now the young, naive squaw is about to pay a hefty price...

With a very narrow wooden ledge and an angled plank, it's a struggle to keep the legs from failing.

Inspired by a great drawing made by Noble Vulture. From the days when internet was too small for so much talent.

Inspired by the current social justice more, I daresay they are the real victims here.
