There’s something really satisfying about homemade videos as compared to professional studios. Here’s one of the very best homemade torture videos I’ve ever seen. Lots of scenes, some of them too short, but including the nail board that Blakemore sometimes used:

I agree with you 100%
You can't replicate the knowledge and relationship when they are experienced with each other.
Generally I don't care about looks or age (well, I have upper and lower limits obviously), I want to know what she's feeling. THe only downside of 'real' stuff is static camera and crap sound/lighting

The exception is shibari. I hate watching some smug git spend 30 minutes 'demonstrating his craft'. I get it, you trained hard, I just don't care. I've had long sessions being tied in rediculous ways, sometimes it works for me as fantastic foreplay, sometimes I just want her to hurry up and get to work. Alas I'm too flat-chested for a proper breast tie, but have been creativly constrained to trap some flesh... Which has to be so tight I litterlly cannot move to breath, which is it's own fun. You are not going to see that on Kink . com for example.

One thing that gets in the way of the video I posted: someone else is holding the camera, obviously. That takes away some of the intimacy. Still, it's got a lot of good stuff to make up for that.

Tripod and own hand holding is now quite common, not sure if in torture/BDSM type of stuff ,but hey lets see some if they exist.

This video was from a bdsm production company which made a number of videos in the age before the internet, close to Blakemore time, and available at the time on 8mm. Just can't remember the name of the company. More crude than Blakemore but still interesting, some suspension, a scene with a crude roller rack facsimile, suspensions in what looked like a living room, etc. Someone will recall the name....

I think you're right. The company was TAO and as I recall they also published magazines in the seventies.
The movies did look like home made and some probably were.
The attached pics are scans from a magazine I bought ages ago.
They are probably from the same couple (similar background on first 2 pics) and date from the '70s or '80s.
I saw some of their productions on 8mm back in the '70s and later on some were released on VHS tape.

Btw, later there was a couple who made a lot of home movies by the names John and Cindy Prince.
The videos were produced on VHS tape by Bon-Vue Enterprise, Bill Major's BDSM productions company.

Yes - that’s it: TAO. I once had one of their catalogues. Thank you. And yes, the photos are clearly taken in the same garage (?) as the video.

About that couple: I’m not the first person to notice that in the US, a large proportion of painsluts have southern accents - they presumably grew up in the bible belt, with plenty of guilt about sex. Blakemore’s models all (or all that I can remember) had southern accents too. I seem to have grown up in the wrong part of the country.
