GIF files only give us so much. I wish we could upload .mp4 files, as they're generally smaller in size anyway. But the Forum doesn't recognize them.

Although uploading video files is not possible you can now include links to video files on another host (e.g. Vimeo) as Reine Margot announced in a post a while ago. Here's a link to that post :

Not quite the result I was looking for, but I think I have to find a site that will host the video.

It looks like those clips are not set for embed. They require age verification. In addition, the link has to be inside the media brackets.

[media] .... [/media]. the "/" in the closing bracket is important.

Since the videos doe= not appear with those two links, that means that those links are redirects. Not the videos themselves.

It is ready for embed, I didn't have to type the brackets, I just copied the link from youtube and pasted it here. But because I typed [media]...[/media] in two previous links, the system simply recognized the embed.

So, make sure the links you want to embed are direct links to the videos themselves and are set for sharing or embedding.
