I do love your quick sketches.

Re: JD's bazaar
You save even those?! A hardcore encyclopedist, I see ...
Re: JD's bazaar
Or a little too much OCD.
But yeah, I save save everything pretty much.

Re: JD's bazaar
There are people with REALLY big hard-drives among us ....

Re: JD's bazaar
I was influenced by small hard drives and having to make choices on what to save, so now I over compensate.
Main HD 500gb but used only for operating system and programs.
Ext HD 500gb used for storage and daily use.
#2 Ext HD 6tb for back up storage.

Re: JD's bazaar
Good one, the overcompensating shtick.

Words of warning. If you continue to save indiscriminatorily like you did in the past you'll need another NAS with 12 bays each holding a 22 WD TB Easystore. And that capacity will only be good for 6 months or so.
Re: JD's bazaar
That's decent but OTOH you don't save EVERY SINGLE brainfart like wulfie here does. Like a true OCD-er, I'm sure he seldom revisits his collections, nope, he derives pleasure in the act of finding the proper folder location and filing where it should be, plus checking if he already have it and deleting the lower quality copy. Here's the pleasure, not in putting his collection to hmmm, more mundane use, involving monkeys being spanked consensually.
Except for folders like Jucundus or whatever that I'm sure he revisits periodically. Less than 1%.
