Vanheman is a Nilfgaardian mercenary doing guard duty on the walls. Now he's watching bored yet another lashing on the wheel. He has no knowledge of what the raven haired woman did to deserve it, nor does he care.

The young Duchess is witnessing the whole proceedings. He had always been attracted to that women, and today was no exception. Vanheman found himself becoming more and more engrossed in his daydreams. He imagined the duchess taking off her clothes and revealing herself to him, and he could feel himself growing harder with every passing moment.. The sound of the lash and screams of the punished brunette in the background only added to his arousal.

Tonight he'll have to find a wench while he'll resume his dreams of the young Duchess. He wasn't planning to, not with his slim purse lately but a man has his needs.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Vanheman's shift came to an end. He quickly made his way down from the walls and headed straight for the nearest tavern.

A week before the event depicted in "A day in Vanheman's life" on the board with available jobs in front of the Ducal castle, a peculiar job request has been posted. It asks the gifted local carpenters/blacksmiths to come up with a device according to those precise specification, with a orthogonal view, a side view and a top view provided. Also the dimensions are clearly stipulated. The payment is generous without being exorbitant.

A certain witcher, always in search for contracts and the coin they bring is looking at the odd request then quickly moves on. Alas, not his line of work. In a week he'll be hunting a leshen in the swamps around Oxenfurt if all goes to the plan.

A funny thought made it through his mind as he was leaving. "The woman they've drawn on the wheel, she looks like Yennefer" and he chuckled.

I hope he finds consolation in the tavern. These are very very good. As usual, your use of architectural details and perspective is enviable.

I have to disagree with LLL, however. I think the use of closeup in pic 3 is very cinematographic.
