Yes, a real missed opportunity.
It's too bad they couldn't have somehow ADR'ed the screams, but ADR was probably beyond the scope/budget for their projects.

You are right, of course. And please note that my dislike of JAV vocalizations are a personal issue. YMMV.
For what we GIMPers are into, full throated screams are the most welcome sounds, tapering off during the session to softer, cracked voice vocalizations as the session wound to a close.
But that kind of accuracy requires sticking to a detailed script.

I am a big fan of unconscious women, and Cry of Cruel World does a very nice job, but I have to find a way to tell her that the "hinge" for the head is the spine.

Speaking of audio for video, I want to bring up Cry’s performance, being electro tortured on the Chair in War Reporters (once more).

Here you can see her really straining against the straps. Just look at that gorgeous body!



The visuals, plus the combination of Cry’s strangled vocalizations and especially the creak of the straps against the chair, brought a whole dose of realism to the sequence.

Normally, Cruel World has the editor cut in “electric shock” sounds, a sort of arcing/sparking sound effect, while the girl is undergoing electro torture of any sort. But with this video, there isn’t any of that, allowing us to enjoy the natural sound efx, which made it awesome in my book.
