Upgrade needs

We have something like 800 hits on our Patreon link, but only two takers, maybe one, for the 3 dollar support the GIMP Forum option.

I can't call it a success. We'll see what happens by the end of the month and if there are no takers that campaign will be closed.

There are some issues we're experiencing right now, the normal back up of the sites is not working, and the reason is because we have exceeded our disk space. It means, we have to upgrade, once again.

We have tons of space for files, now we need to upgrade our operating system before it starts failing.

The other solution is to lower out needs, which means closing some sites and keeping the ones that are less demanding of disk space.

This forum demands a lot of space because the activities here are 24/24.



This Forum has a backup, up to a point. If we don't upgrade our disk space, there will be no back ups, and we know what happens when we don't have back ups. Any problem can make ALL the posts disappear. We don't want that, do we?

We have a new way to contribute to our goals to keep the GIMP Forum going and to improve it. This campaign will be limited until August 14, when we have to complete the process of upgrading. This is a one time contribution.

The Upgrade for our hosting plan is now active. Thank you to all those who gave us the necessary support. We're still short of our goal, but we're getting there, slowly but surely. There are more upgrades coming but now we have twice the operating disk space and .... huge, huge files storage space. I'll be more detailed soon.
