Finding a Home for My Images

Post by BlirGimp »

After several tries, my registration was finally accepted at this site.

I used to post on Renderotica as Blir where I had around 1,000 images and stories but left that site as it no longer worked for me. I use Poser to produce my images and understand that Poser is probably a dying plaform given market domination by DAZ and AI-generated images. That leaves me with lots of images and comics that I enjoyed producing, but no home for them.

To see examples of what I've produced, do a search for "Blir BDSM" to see my work posted on several pirate sites.

My question is what site(s) should I consider for posting my images? I don’t want to get on the pay-to-view treadmill. I would like the site to allow viewers free or inexpensive access to the images. I also don’t want the brain damage associated with developing and maintaining my own web site.

I don't know how to post images on this site as it appears to require some sort of link to a publicly accessible web site. I know, I'm a techno-bone head, so I need a site to which is simple enough for me to post on without jumping through a bunch of convoluted steps and rules.

Suggestions anyone?

Edit: OK, I think I figured out how to include an attachment....

Here seems just right, or perhaps I misunderstood your message.

All of us had trouble creating an account and logging in. The web master is nonstop fighting bots that want phony accounts, and an authentic request can be hard to spot.

Patience is appropriate. The web master runs this wonderful site free of charge.

I just drag and drop an image into a message under construction in the editor.

Welcome Blir! I am a fan of your work, having seen some on Renderotica.

GIMP has a limit of 2 MB/image, 3 images per post, but Margot (and Ralphus) the admins, have kept the site free and there is no censorship! (well, obviously, there is no ch1 ld porn allowed, and though we have our opinions, we try to mostly keep them to ourselves) And then there is our 25 year history! ;)

Re: images. You can drag and drop, ala frog, or load images the "old fashioned" way, which is to go the Attachments tab below, navigate to, then select the images.

Again, welcome aboard!

Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate sites like this one and the work they require to maintain.

I admit to being a techo-dunderhead, so excuse my bumbling about.

Ralphus is the most tolerant site there is, I've tried a few. They even accept my brainfarts which is a bar so low, only an ant with dwarfism would go under. And we used to have a bit too many dwarves around here.*

The only drawback is that feedbacks are so much more muted than DA or AU. It can get frustrating to get thousands of views in a day and not a single peep or a friendly 'fuck you, pervert!'. With a notable exception of a few good hearted colleagues who will encourage you to continue, that you don't suck as badly as the lack of reaction might indicate, there's a rather quiet place here.

As a Poser user myself (and an occasionally poser himself) I'd say more people using this tool are welcomed. DAZ users on the other hand ...

* inside joke, sorta ...

I'm glad to see you show up here, Blir. Welcome!

I've collected your images from Renderotica for a while, and I also post here. This site is the most tolerant I've found -- you can even go much harder than your usual posts if that's what you want to do. JD's right about the dearth of encouraging comments -- it gets frustrating sometimes, but he's among the few whose occasional comments keep me going.

As for his comments (implied!) about DAZ users, however . . .

I hope I don't like I give a shit.

Besides, I feel honored to be mistaken for the incomparable Frog. 🐸
