Yes that's very true. CW at least tries (and succeeds imo) to make the whole thing look non-consensual. When I watch something from Kink / Dungeon Corp, etc., it's very clear that what I'm seeing is a professional actress consenting to being tied up, abused a little, vibed, and such... in other words a pro earning a paycheck. You can say that about evreyone in the industry, but at least some producers make an effort to look non-consensual and make it easier to fantasize about the action being real.

I can attest to that. I've tried twice to set up on Deviant Art, just posting some caps from CW videos. Once got up to 1,000 followers, the second time only a few hundred, before I was unceremoniously dumped (and I'm aware that puts me in some very exalted company). The reason? They thought my images were too "non-consensual". There was noting in them that I hadn't seen on the site--not killing, maiming, penetration, etc. CW models don't accept needles but some (fake) burning (without open flames), whipping and electro that is very nicely faked. Seems to me the gold standard here is Mood/Elite. The videos are, what, consensuallly harshly/severely non consensual. Earlier vids like Santiago Prison are intense . The more recent game oriented videos are clearly consensual in every way, but highly punitive, if that's the right word.
