Bloodsucking Freaks now available in 4K UHD

Post by A Canadian »

The little guy must be so proud. 😁

The latest GIMP classic to get the premium-quality upgrade is none other than Bloodsucking Freaks, which has now received a well-deserved 4K ultra high-definition release.

This high-def version has been newly scanned and restored. Vinegar Syndrome, the company that released it, has a stellar reputation for doing outstanding work remastering movies.

I picked up a copy on Sunday from a video store in Toronto. While I have only been able to watch some of it, there's no doubt this is the best it will ever look. It's still got that grindhouse look but the picture quality is definitely sharper than previous versions. And there's a ton of features on the supplementary Blu-ray.

This limited edition ain't cheap but you can't skimp when it comes to the classics. 😁

Thanks for the head's up! I placed my order; came to about $47 USD with shipping and taxes. You're right - it ain't cheap but I'm not willing to skimp on the classics! I wonder if they have "Poor Cecily"...

The original film does not support 4K resolution. It was too grainy for that. So this is an upscale. It does look like they did a good job.
