Her crime is that her husband, the Count, led a revolt against the King. The revolt failed, and the Count went into hiding. The Countess, however, got captured on her way to where her husband is hiding, and she's being interrogated to find her husband. But I think I commented during one post that the Countess was well aware that the wife of a revolting noble would never be left alive. But the question is, how should she be executed?

Wow! Here's a vote that the Countess would hate to have counted! Her torture might last for DAYS longer! Maybe I'll have to keep this series going longer than I anticipated!

However, I think I'll have to save the spiked chair until later, if at all. It would be difficult to show the wounds left by all those spikes if the Spiked Chair was not going to be the execution method.

Last thought is the rack torture is unbearably brutal by itself. Pulling and dislocating the joints is beyond painful.
It is written that confess witch tortured by the rack had to be carried in a chair to the stake because they couldn't stand them. So they burn them in the sitting position or seat position. It was also said the witch welcomed the flames to put her out of her misery. Will Burner

The young baroness was so horrified by what she witness that she lost no time in hurrying out of the dungeon. The King's order bore fruit, however, since the youth was determine to never allow her husband to do anything disloyal that might have either of them consigned to that terrifying dungeon.

Meanwhile, the princess was enjoying herself. She massaged the countess's breast, gauging the firmness of the heavy orb and relishing the look of suffering on the countess's face as a brazier was moved under her other foot. The torturer added to the poor noblewoman's torment by stroking a blazing hot iron along the sensitive flesh of her stretched-taut thigh.
