I agree with hornythumb about it looking malevolent. I imagine the space on the left is for the cables and connectors. Hopefully it also comes with detailed instructions about what can and cannot safely be done.

I've had mine a bit over a year now. It's designed and built by an engineer and is tested to CE standards. It has a low/high/extreme modes, the latter two are unlocked by a key, how cool is that?! Tons of options via a bespoke mobile app, too. Low and high are safe to use above the waist, obviously you don't let current across the chest. It has a battery but can also be safely used with a power supply.
