A couple of things to note:
1) I think Cry is the Queen of reactions to torture, her screams in this video are very nice. I also think her reactions to electrotorture (not seen here) are right on point.
2) Alex was trying something different, as the gif will illustrate; the overhead camera view of Cry is different than the floor camera. Or maybe the white balance in the overhead was different? Either way, I liked it.

Edit: A couple of nitpicks to maybe help this period piece video:
1) Use makeup to cover her ankle tattoo,
2) Have Cry grow out her bush before filming.
