Meanwhile back in Twins Lab One...
ZOIA'S been in there for three hours and fifteen minutes, fourty five with her feet in hot antifreeze, wich is doing its job, she's still alive.

Normaly in a hyperthermic state a body would restrict blood flow to the arms and legs to protect the vital organs

But instead of the numness wich comes with extreme cold, she's experiencing the worst pain of her life, her lizard brain is ignoring everything to maintain core temperature

While blood flow to the arms is restricted and her fingers are frozen solid, frostbite has formed and is spreading on her cheeks, ears and nipples. Her feet are getting plenty of blood and oxygen, their nerves as awake as possible reporting loudly to her fully conscious brain the heat exchange place as her blood harvests heat,

her lizard brain is tortureing her to keep her alive.
