Yeah, all my workout is done on Sepultura and Slayer, I'm not bad-mouthing the genra, I'm quite a fan actually but there's a lot of trash in trash metal. :)

I guess I was dissing those guys, and I really shouldn't. They're putting out what they feel, and not bending to any breeze, so for that I give them props.

It's just that I prefer some hint of melody in my music, and with those vocals there isn't any where you normally find some. Not to me anyway. I can appreciate the riffs, but little else. Maybe I need to listen to them in a different way.

But, like our kinks here on this forum, to each his own, and more power to them for writing and recording original music.

I will accept your critique, and forgo sampling it for myself. Thank you for sacrifice.

Oh... and this cover is actually pretty good.

Yes, it's so good that several bands have used that 1890's (or possibly 1930's) photo for their album covers.

Deadlife 'Perphyria' (2016)

They sneakily turned the photo upside down, but I am not fooled!

A popular image.

I wonder if that lady is getting all her royalties? :D

I feel confident in saying that an important reason this photo is so popular with death metal bands is that it is in the public domain. :D
