Yes, it's a "snuff" film, and it's "different", but I liked it. Partially because it's shot outdoors with natural light.

Not withstanding the fact all images images appear to be in doors except for the corpus. I love them. As for the snuff angle if you kidnap them to torture,arrest them to interrogate or think their a witch, if you credibly run out the fantasy they end up dead . Its all snuff even if you roll over and skip the "John Marshal " part .,,

You made me wonder. This is a reply from Alex:
"...DoItYourselfJustie6 - This movie was made outdoors. The weather was great for filming that day. Heat. but at the same time, the sky is covered with clouds. That is, there was a soft diffused light. In the future, I want to place a translucent white screen on this set at a height of 3.5 meters. It will provide both protection from rain and provide soft lighting even in bright sunshine..."

I think the cloudy sky explains the lighting, which looks more diffuse and as if it's made by indoor lighting with screens (edit: or diffusers, or ???...not sure of the correct term)

re: snuff, I agree. I'm a fan of realism, but up until a certain point. So I always look at the scenario and think, if the bad guys are masked, the GIMP may have a chance at making it out alive. If the bad guys faces can be seen, then no way will she be allowed to survive.

And then, there's the angle of keeping the GIMP, vs. snuffing them and dumping/burying the body. Of course, it's all fantasy, but...
