@jm6d, very interesting, these thoughts should deserve a thread.

Repeting what has already been said is not the best of ideas, but I feel the need to do it. "Real Doms and Dommes" do not exist in these movies. They are not describing a dom-sub relationship. They are not describing a relationship at all. Wanting to win, wanting to gain money are two women. One tries, limited by rules that are often discussed and interpreted on this board, to inflict severe pain on the other, forcing her to quit. The other tries to withstand the pain and the often added humiliation. There are no doms-subs. We have torturer and tortured, executioner and executed. We have got hints from Pedro, so we can assume that none is deeply submissive and wanting pain as he has written that they do not want masochists. Except for that we probably know nothing about relationships. We can interpret and guess, but we do not know the relationships if they exists. We do not know what is acting and what is real. I think that the outbursts when, probably, very severe pain is felt is real, but that is my guess. We only know two things, pain and money, and those watching due to the money aspect are probably nobody, so it's all about the pain and therefore there are no "Real Doms and Dommes" here.

It's not only all about pain but also about the interaction between the participants' personalities (including The Host).
As we are a couple watching these movies, the fun is increased by our exchange of views, guesses, unlikely theories, and fantasies.

Maybe a different genre has been created.

Japan's had a few vids like these over the years and kink.com did only 2 vids before they abandoned the idea. The subs were just competing for bragging rights (ie, "I took the most hits with a cane and didn't safeword! I win!!" Concept abandoned because subs were pushing themselves beyond their safe limits and were refusing to safeword despite being injured in a nonconsensual way. Not how kink.com runs its company so bye bye contests.

For Japan. there were a few "illegal" vids back in the 80s that had two or more girls take whip strokes like the ones in EP vids along with waxing and nose hook torture (why? I have no idea. Their kink I guess) and winners were given a bonus(?) on top of the initial model/talent fee they were paid before the shoot. VHS quality, sometimes sound was poor/nonexistent. My japanese sucks and my memory is bad so I don't remember too much now.

EP's gone beyond these and actually turned the idea into a solid format we can all follow and enjoy. It's creative and they covered themselves legally by asking contestants between rounds if they want to continue (ie, we/EP didn't force them. They consented, they knew what to expect prior to going into round. Our hands are clean).

Are we sure, our hands are clean? I can only repeat, what I commented to the introduction of the Graias VIP-Club:

"But honestly, I wouldn't watch a movie without being sure, that there is no permanent damage (physical or psychological) inflicted to the victim. That would destroy any attraction for me. This is also the reason why I do not watch films showing real torture/execution scenes. And I hope most of you feel the same way.

So, in order to enjoy a film, I have to be sure that everything is done within the models limits and, more importantly, everything is done within the limits of the producer who is fully responsible for the physical and psychological integrity of the model. And these limits could be much stricter than those of the model."

When I saw the halver coming up for the feet punishment in Darcia RLD, I was sure, the producer stood to his responsibility. For this reason the things, which happened at the end of the film were somehow consequent and fair enough.

I hope, Pablo can continue to take over this responsibility, which Pedro showed over the last years. Only then the COP/TH/WOP series will continue to be a success story.

I remember the kink vid starred Sgt. Major and Audrey Leigh with one more Dom and a chubbier blond sub. The JAV were bad copies picked up as part of a compilation VHS vid sold at a flea market. They looked like older cinemagic shoots though. The nose hooks were a giveaway.

Aside from the whole Tatjana issue, the contestants that returned after their first shoots would indicate they're still willing to go through the contest format again. That would mean behind the scenes there's some aftercare and any trauma is manageable on their part.

Again, legally, hands are clean. No lawsuits intimating any wrongdoing or mistreatment. Any more details regarding this would have to be asked of Pedro or other EP management.
