Over the past year and more, two resources for heavier BDSM material have arisen, Cruel World and Electric City.

Cruel World is Russian and does primarily customs--you pay for the models and Alec/Bald, who plays the villain and makes the films, makes his money by reselling the results on his sites. The production values at Cruel World are excellent and there are a wide rant of young and relatively attractive models who will do suspensions, hangings, whippings, electro and various other subjects to the script you provide. I've purchased several of these as customs and several others that were made by others (many from this list), and they have generally been quite good with multiple camera angles. The person who made the custom gets all the video from all the cameras, and you also get whatever they edit together--which is what buyers of the vids get.

Electric City comes from I don't know where, and they specialize, as the name suggests, in electro. They don't do customs and you buy their films from their site. They advertise their films with "old footage" and "cinematic footage". I bought a couple of these perhaps a year ago and over the weekend got 3 of the newer ones, "Captured by Russians" (the story of Eva Smith), "Female Marine" (Sophie Rogers) and "Interrogation of Emilia Vega". All three use the same model, who is, for me, the reason to buy their stuff. She has a wonderful curvy body with dark skin and and long black hair, terrific belly, very nice breasts and, in 2 of the movies, a bush. She performs well in the limited roles.

After watching the three last night, I decided to do a review here--since all three are essentially the same film (perhaps including much of the same footage--remember they use "old footage"). The model is full nude and made up with lots of sweat on her body, various splotches or streaks of blood here and there, with the same clamps scotch-taped to her nipples being tortured by the same guy. In all three, her eyes are covered (though she seems to be able to see when she is being menaced with a gun or clips). The guy is hooded. Emilia Vega claims to have whipping (toward the end, she is lashed maybe 4 times with a rope, though never marked).

The biggest complaint I have about Electric City is that it appears that no-one there has ever made a video (cinematic or otherwise) and, worse, they don't learn from experience. There is a single camera position and a single light. In all three vids it appears the cinematographer (remember these have "cinematic footage") interned with Jac Avila about 20 years ago. Darkness and shadow are dominant themes. Worst of all, no-one seems yet to have figured out that when the villain stands between the camera (which is usually straight-on the model) and the model...you can't see shit! His back. I estimated somewhere between 25-40% of the screen time was either his back completely or nearly entirely blocking her. It also seems that anyone who had watched 3 minutes of their output might have figured out that putting whatever it was that was generating the shocks on the side of her that had the single low spot, would mean that every time our bad guy went to turn on the juice, he threw her partially or completely in shadow. The "brutal beatings" are literally all done while we watch the guy's back and her the dull thuds of blows to her face (but don't worry, her nose and mouth never bleed). I can't recall for sure, but at least in the Emilia Vega video, she is standing AOH (as in all of them) on a Persian rug. Nice touch for a torture chamber, but the stunning part is that she pisses, pukes, drools, etc. without ever soiling the rug. I couldn't help imagining that the smell in that place (since the action happens over several weeks) must have been unbearable. Perhaps good torture chambers have a Shop Vac and go in to clean up after each session (in which case, why not use the suction on her nipples and clit?).

There are some nice moments for fans like me of zaftig women, especially from the front, but buy one of the efforts of Electric City and cut it down to about 5 minutes of visible action, and you'll get your money's worth.

I've puchased a couple from Electric City a while back, then one recently. There are many videos I'm tempted to buy, but I was wondering if they all had the same shortcomings. Now that you've confirmed the same experience with your purchases, I know what to expect.
There has been a lot of feedback posted here, and I'm pretty sure they have acknowledged it. We should continue to encourage them, since this studio has a lot of potential. But it would be nice to hear their point of view Are they interested in trying new things? Or different lighting/style? Or character positions for better visibility? It would be great to have an open discussion going with them. I think it would help sales.

Glad to see the board back and hopefully see more of our members back. I can't see that the topics have been reloaded, so it appears posts require setting up new subjects. I know Margot has written that she's working to return the archived material, but that could take some time, and since it appears others are a bit slow in putting some meat into the stew-pot, I thought I'd drop in some stimulants.

What we can say? Thank you so much, for the encouragement and also the criticism! We are a very small production from north east Russia, our budget, believe me, it’s really really limited and we’re trying to rent new places, new lights, new cameras as soon as we have some saving.. our videos are improving especially in terms of resolution quality. Our best videos are Horrifying Torture of Jane Morris, Captured by Russians and the best of all is Brutal Torture Of A Spy Girl, they had been purchased and review as really much and our clients has been very satisfied of them.
We will improve step by step our production and we will try to satisfy your multiple tastes. We also do customs but not with more than 1 model at the same time. We’re studying day by day new techniques of filming to be more competitive. Thanks for supporting us! And also thanks to this forum for the reopening!

Electric City. I did check out the Jane Morris video. If those are your best, no wonder you aren't selling enough to make decent money. The lighting is still one-dimensional, but it does focus on the model and the bad guys don't stand between her and the camera. Those are simple changes that cost nothing, so it's an improvement. Personally adding 5 minutes of shots of helicopters and military stuff and empty halls and some shots of her getting undressed is wasted time. Also the screens telling us what is happening are a waste. Yes she is suspended, and that's good. But how do you have an electrotorture video with no clips on her nipples. And even after one of the screens tells us they're going to shock her pussy...there's no clamp anywhere near it! In fact, none on her body at all except some wires wrapped around her feet. Another screen tells us she is pissing from the pain, but that too is never shown.

The Brutal Torture of a Spy Girl manages to keep the villain out of the way most of the time, but amazingly you manage to cover the girl in her OWN shadow! Having lights directly to the side of the model means that half of her is always in shadow--and when she arches forward from the shocks, even more of her is in shadow. Does anyone look at your videos (ideally while you are making them, but at least) after they are shot? Do you not see that you can't see?! Move the lights a bit higher if you can and place them 45 degrees in front of the girl. It's so simple and it doesn't cost anything. If you didn't have the girl from Brutal Torture and the others I reviewed, I'd never bother to get any of them. She IS your company. Now if anyone had some imagination and could find a link on the internet about how to light a video, your stuff would be at least 50% better.

The idea of sticking a bunch of shots (same ones as the other video), but in this one shots of light bulbs flickering and even a little tag of some guys looking around outdoors, I guess to show that her screams are being heard is a waste of time--your editor's and your customers. If you need to show us that the electricity is flowing into her body, show us with her body. But SHOW us--like by making her visible. In this case she has a pussy clamp, but for 19 minutes (about 5-6 of actual action) she is in the same position with the same clamp. Did you not have enough money for some breast clips as well?

We don't need the little storyboards to tell us how terrible it was for her. I was actually laughing--not a good thing in the audience for a torture video--after reading that they were really going at it now, really going to torture here BAD. Then she appeared onscreen for, maybe 1-2 minutes, just standing there. I guess they were trying to bore her to death. We see the bad guy menace her with a gun. And with a drill, loving pans (not down her body but) of the wires! It's a waste of film to have him ask (over and over) "are you ready to talk?" Just focus on what people buy your films to see.

I would love to suggest a script for you to try with this model. I think even with the equipment and stuff you have, you could make a much better video. You can contact me back-channel by sending a private message. Tell me what the charge would be for doing a custom with that model, and let's see what can be done.
