Just to add some nuance to your much appreciated comments, the "damage" on download/file.php?id=18803&t=1 was basically already there, I just played with some filters and paint. Thanks, above all, for dubbing me an artist. I guess, art might be a name for what I do, only that I think it is not really kosher. I mean, as art it doesn't aspire to move our "loftier instincts" as we are usually told art is supposed to do, but rather it appeals to our "baser" ones. However, there is, I would like to believe, an aesthetic component. Thanks for making me think about all this and appreciating what I do.wulf wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 2:50 pm You are a master at depicting body damage, and I seriously mean that. Very few artists that I've seen do it as well. The accumulated effects of long term abuse and torture, such as you would have with an interrogation scenario are difficult to do, I would think. But yours work very well, at least for me.

Thanks for today's images, my friend.

Re: The frog pond
Of course, you are an artist. It's the same with sampling music. That, too, is high art when it's done well. But only if it's really good. It's the same with your pictures or manips. They are really good. Of course, not all of them are equally good, that's just like me. My pictures are not all equally good either.frog wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 6:36 pmJust to add some nuance to your much appreciated comments, the "damage" on download/file.php?id=18803&t=1 was basically already there, I just played with some filters and paint. Re: The frog pond
Thanks for your comment, it's truly appreciated, particularly when it comes from someone I consider a master craftsman. And yes, it is impossible to always keep the same level of achievement. Sometimes the technical and other issues are just unsolvable, sometimes we are in a hurry, sometimes we are just bored. . . Thanks again.artur-ae wrote: ↑Sat Apr 16, 2022 8:17 am Of course, you are an artist. It's the same with sampling music. That, too, is high art when it's done well. But only if it's really good. Great job Froggie. I really like these, and the text you come up with is perfect.
Btw, I'd recognize old 'Carol' on her spikey horse anywhere, and you did a beautiful job with her. Do you have all of those pics of her? I happen to have a dozen or so from that set... just an fyi.

Re: The frog pond
I got the pic I used for the cutout from Cruxforums, and whoever posted posted a few more of her. I don't remember now if I downloaded some more. Thanks for the info, though, I'll keep it in mind.wulf wrote: ↑Sun Apr 17, 2022 1:27 am Great job Froggie. I really like these, and the text you come up with is perfect.

Re: The frog pond
If it was a recent post, it was likely me. I posted a few of them there a while back. I'll zip them all up and send them to you, no strings... just to have.frog wrote: ↑Sun Apr 17, 2022 12:49 pmI got the pic I used for the cutout from Cruxforums, and whoever posted posted a few more of her. Now that I know her name, thanks to Wulf; here is another version of Carol
