It has probably already been mentioned before but these nice little devices called adjustable locking pliers (aka Vise Grips) should be in any serious toolbox.

And don't forget to also include the classic long nose plier which can be very useful too in some situations.

Yes indeed. vise grips are the go to tool for quick crushing with little effort. And there is this version for pinch up larger areas of girl flesh.

Excellent suggestion!! I was a pen & paper draftsman in my early working life, and I still have all of my old scale bars. I shall dig them out of the attic.
