Maybe some remember this interesting scene from an old Realtime Bondage video (Katharine Caned 3) where the poor Katharine Cane was prepared by PD for an electro-torture session. He was in the process of fitting a full latex sensory deprivation hood including (inflatable) gag and blindfold. When he finished putting on the snap-on blindfold she suddenly went into some panic state and started to cry , PD immediatly noticed that something went wrong , removed the hood and tried to gently calm her. A blindfold or hood is not a necessity for me but I do think that they bring something to certain scenarios. I love the theme of brave, resourceful women being captured and interrogated (POWs, undercover agents, etc) and a hood really adds to the unfortunate woman's sense of helplessness and vulnerability.

I really like the attached photo posted by MattWiser earlier. It's a very simple shot but the hood really increases the sense of danger and the anticipation of what's about to be done to her.
I love everything about it - the hood, her naked body humiliatingly exposed, the way her ankles are fixed to the chair spreading her legs. The way her ankles are secured is a nice touch - forcing her feet off the floor except for her toes - you can imagine the pain as cramp starts to build!

Not sure where this is from but I'd love to see the preceding and following shots. Be great to see her led in, still in uniform, before being stripped and bound to the chair.
