It comes down to one simple question, is showing a borderline underage image worth the risk of shutting down the forum? I say no it is not.

ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!

My understanding is that, at least in US, it's the appearance of the image that matters. Adults posing in a way that is over the line is illegal. Also, human generated, machine generated, or hybrid doesn't matter if the image is over the line. I have no idea how strenuous the enforcement actually is for an occasional "appearance" image, but there is no reason to test the authorities. Indeed, the current regime just acts without issuing warning etc.

It's not a matter of testing the authorities. It's our policy. No images of children, period. It doesn't matter if they are real, AI generated, drawings... it doesn't matter.
