frog wrote: Wed Jan 21, 2026 9:43 am It's great to have you back. I truly admire your work and have collected a large number of your images. And to come back with Videodrome is another plus. Videodrome has always been an obsession with me, I can't wait to see how it develops. Thanks for sharing your work.

First, thanks for the nice words on my (often not very nice) work! I'm with ya Videodrome - especially back in the eighties, it was sort of an obsession. It's actually more potent in memory and imagined visuals behind the static-filled images than in reality. It was super cool when Criterion did their release and included all the Videodrome footage, w/o static.

Did you ever see my first Videodrome homage, done for an Art of Darkness art contest?
I understand the obsession. And yes, I remember the day I discovered the flogging scenes without static and not just snippets of them as in the movie. I was also obsessed by the fact that Debbie Harry's character had joined Videodrome but we did not see her tortured. I tried to cure my obsession by producing some crude images, which I still do once in a while when the Drome bug bites me. Below are some examples of what I mean. Thanks again for sharing.
Unfortunately I did not get to see your work in Art of Darkness.

I'm kinda happy with how these turned out. Excellent base material. :D

First version is the most accurate per the intent of the original.

Second one is the prettiest. Rawr.
I can't tell much difference in the two, other than her eyes in a different position. That's why I like #1 the best, as it 'tells me' she's looking at her approaching torturer.

Both are beautiful work and quite exciting to look at. Thanks for sharing.

As a collector, I suggest leaving Arcas's name on them as you did, but also add your signature, or indicate it's AI and in some way who created it (with Arcas's permission of course).

Yeah, only the face is different. Once I settled on the main image, I then worked on the face (always the hardest part). In the first image, she's looking more towards the left so you get a better sense that she's frightened by something. In the second image she doesn't look all the way to the left and then you see her face better, including her eyes. It's subtle and comes down to preference. I couldn't decide so I shared both.

The problem is I don't have a signature, I don't sign my images. So it's a bit of a conundrum :D

Brutha, I love that 3rd image, but that slack rope between her wrists and ankles always drives me crazy! :P

WOW! Those are COOL! Thanks for trying them out. I like the first one, but hey... it's closer to the source material so I'm biased. Want me to dig out another candidtae?

Any suggestions?

Arcas wrote: Sat Jan 17, 2026 5:55 pm Hey all... long time no post! I'm not making any bold proclamations that I'm out of retirement or anything (I'm not), but it seems like every January (for reasons I can't fathom) I take out the tools and play a bit. Maybe it's just to make sure I still can make stuff? Whatever the case, this year I got in my head to do a lil' series of renders. We'll see how far it actually goes - no promises.

So the idea is this (because it's almost as much fun to come up with a rationale as it is to make the pics - at least for me). The time is 2006, shortly after Insex pulled its plug. The place is the dark web. With no Insex work, model Anne-Marie (aka 912) finds herself adrift. As we all know she hasn't been seen (much if at all) since Insex's closing. This story posits a "why".

Anne-Marie gets an offer to "go out in style" by a group on the dark web who've modeled their output and style on Cronenburg's "Videodrome" broadcast. If you've seen the movie (and I'm sure 99.9% of you have) you know what the offer entails. My series will attempt to chronicle the 912 webcast, which took place over a progressively more grueling three days. Again... I'm not sure how far I'll get, but a good response with lotsa chatter certainly can't hurt the odds of me adding a few more images. And while I can't guarantee anything, if you have ideas, pitch away! I'm thinking things like our ole pal Ousuk would have written... (mwah-haa-haa).

My first three pics really tease (so forgive me posting this in the "tortured women" thread... we'll get there!). All use my trusty 912 model in DAZ Studio, with recent souped-up tweaks. So here's the first one... Anne-Marie lounging around set for promos, teasing what's to come. Hopefully I'll post something new every few days. Sorry it won't be a barrage as with a lot of A.I. output. I'm old school and this stuff just takes time, at least if you wanna cross all the T's and dot the I's.
Hi Arcas, Your work has inspired me so so much! I look forward to seeing more of your work!!!
