Seems kind of wasteful to me, but those cover artists had their deadlines . . .

Well done Sir, well done. Thanks for sharing.bleumune wrote: ↑Sun Jul 07, 2024 2:53 pm Instead of the Maestro Jucundus, I can only offer more of my AI-manipulated Men's magazine art. I know it's not as popular as some subjects, but it was huge for me when I was a youngster. Imagine being able to peruse such magazines in the grocery store or drug store while the parents were shopping! Couldn't happen today! But the artists doing the cover art had to manipulate the torn shreds of the heroine's clothing to obscure all the private areas, which was a downer.
Anyway, here's snakes again. Men in Conflict 1961-10.
Here you go. I would have like to have done it a bit better, but the image I collected somewhere in the dim past was pretty low-res. Your image was actually a bit higher resolution, so I used that, even though it was only in the 400 KB range.
I started out doing the same thing, but doing a complete scene can take several days. In fact, I've got several dozen scenes that I abandoned because it simply got to be too much work. And it was only on rare occasions when I could make the scene look close to the original image.
I'm already there. I still do AI stuff at times but the novelty wore off. I'm sure in the near future, where the possibility of AI will greatly improve I'll rejoin the crowd.
