For those who may be interested, my url has some screenshots from the recently released "On Bloody Sunday" that I recommended a couple of weeks ago. It's not a horrible scene, but not the best either. I was actually hoping for more from the film.

For me, it's just TV. I have a lot of higher priorities than to see every zit on some star's face.

Could this be a (sort of off-topic) poll? "Are you going to HD TV and DVD? When? Which format do you prefer?"

Scribbler: I'll defer to Ralphus on this, but if anyone asks for my vote, I say we should get rid of the requirement for paragraph markers. The other HTML codes I am fine with, even if I keep screwing them up (sorry, Ralphus).

Bill Zebub: Bill, Bill, Bill.... I don't know where to start. You say you're just a "visitor" in GIMP land, yet you've been sending out copies of ASSMONSTER for review. I'm sure I'm not the only one who sees the contradiction here.

But I don't want your visits to go to waste, so here is some feedback. On the widescreen topic, I don't think it's a huge issue. Most people with widescreen TVs are used to watching full screen shows and movies in widescreen. I would recommend you move to widescreen, but only because I think it would make your films look more professional. But people with widescreen TVs can still watch your movies if they're presented in full screen.

As far as ASSMONSTER goes, I hope someone does review it. I'm sure it would be a fun read.

Some years ago, we sent out a notice saying you didn't have to use the paragraph tags anymore (after we had everybody trained) and I saw the results. The entire book looked terrible. I had the option of cleaning up all 75 posts that were already there...removing hundreds of paragraph tags from each and every existing post, and I would have had to do that with all the FUTURE posts, as well. Or I had the option to remove the notification and leave things the way they were. I chose the to stick with what we had.

Almost everybody around here knows to use the tags...geez, it only takes a few seconds to add them after you write your text. This isn't rocket science. Occasionally we'll get a newbie who can't read the simple instructions on the SIGN THE BOOK page and I'll have to go in and correct it, but it really doesn't happen here much anymore.

What we REALLY need is a preview page, like has been suggested. That way if someone makes a mistake, he can go back and correct it before it posts. Instead, Dreambook gave us the "spam buster" option where you have to type in random letters and numbers to prove you're not a spammer (as though someone who's going to spam the board can't type in letters like the rest of us).

I'm not a fan of Dreambook, but I've never found a free host with similar features that allows the content we have here. Brian from Brian's Page started out on Dreambook, liked the design but had too many problems with them, so he built his own website. I'm not net-savvy enough to do that, plus I don't want to pay for the cost of maintaining a site every month. And interestingly enough, some years ago, Brian changed the option where posters can't even use HTML at all now...it's plain text or nothing. Personally, I like being able to use HTML...you can do a lot more things with it.

We do the best with what we have here.

Regarding Bill Zebub's work...is there anyone here that really cares about that hack? I mean, really? He made one decent low-budget movie, which he told me via e-mail was the most stupid movie he ever made. He said he has "movies in the works for retards to jerk off to", which tells you a bit about the contempt he has for the people who read this forum, even if he claims he's just here doing research. I'm not going out of my way to review any of his stuff. Unless I hear otherwise from one of you, I'm just going to assume the usual, that whatever he made is going to suck.

Mr. Zebub, I take offense to you calling us retards who like to jerk off to movies. You probably said that because you're projecting your own true feelings about yourself. If you didn't like bondage erotica yourself, you wouldn't have made movies with similar content, would you?

Format war: Like others here, I'm waiting for all the stupidity to die down before I invest in a new home entertainment system. I blame Sony and its obsession with copyright protection for all this nonsense. I used to like this company.

Dreambook issue: I don't mind typing the paragraph breaks; it's become almost second nature. As for a preview page, I use this site. It usually works. For reviews, I use a word processor program first.

The Bill Zebub issue: I feel a migraine coming on.

The "spam buster" is called CAPTCHA, a contrived acronym for "Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart". It's not for human spammers, but for bots. Some work better than others. They're all pains in the neck.

Having worked in the movie industry (I was a child actor and then later a professional audio technician), I know that the producer's job of getting all the right people needed for a shoot to show up in the right place, at the right time, on the right day is a whole lot harder than it sounds. There is also financing, lighting, blocking, audio, editing, and a host of other things that need to be well done for a decent final result. Look at the list of credits on any mainstream movie. Granted, the writing, directing, and acting are hugely important, but they aren't everything.

My wife (now ex) used to remind me when I was too critical of someone's work that just completing it is more of an accomplishment than many of us have every achieved. Not everyone likes my writing, and my book isn't selling like hotcakes, but at least I got it published. That's more than some authors can say. Bill has made more movies than many of us. Sure, a lot of us think we could do better. As I keep telling my boss, anything is easy if you aren't the person actually doing the work.

Releasing a finished movie is no small accomplishment. If it were, I'd make one of my own. I think my audio, writing and directing talents would be up to the task. It's all the other stuff that stops me. I have given it some serious thought.

The DVD was already scheduled for a Jan. 15 release in Canada. However, there will also be a theatrical showing of the film this Sunday, at an independent theatre in Toronto, as part of a screening of two Jack Ketchum flicks, The Girl Next Door and The Lost. Ketchum will be at this event and will participate in a question and answer session and a book signing after the movies. There is even a chance to win a "Girl Next Door prize pack."

Today, there was a three-quarter-page ad promoting the event in NOW Magazine, an alternative weekly in Toronto (our version of The Village Voice). The magazine also had a review of the upcoming DVD (the second item in the link).

Tomorrow and over the weekend, it will be interesting to see if this gets any further play in the mainstream media.

What bothers me about him is the utter waste of some great premises. Kill the Scream Queen was a good film that could have been great, but it was still decent, and that got me excited for more. But everything else I've seen from him after that was really god awful, and frankly, it was all his fault. He made some directorial choices that turned what should have been killer material into difficult-to-watch dreck.

He shoots an entire film with naked girls being tied up, raped and tortured, which sounds exciting, but no, it was anything but. Number one he made it a silent film (what?) and number two, it was shot completely in slow motion (what the hell???). I ask you...what was he thinking?

Then he shot another film that had promise, and it even had the gorgeous Kerri Taylor tied up and naked, but get this: he covered her face up for nearly the entire film! How stupid is that? Well, so stupid that he plans to do it AGAIN in his retelling of the Girl in the Box story. That's inexcusable. I've waited half my life to see that story made into a movie and Bill Zebub is the one to make it? This is a guy who has made such elementally poor decisions that even a junior high school student with a camcorder would know better.

We had a poll here about him covering up the face and people told him no, no, no, and he basically blows us off by saying he doesn't care what we think, that we're not his audience. Logic defies him as a filmmaker. He told me that he made 50 grand last year, which is stupefying to me that one can be rewarded and actually make a healthy living churning out garbage like that. I know I could do better. I know Jefferson can at least write, so he could probably do better. Darkroom is writing a bondage film, and I haven't seen his stuff but I'm sure HE could do better.

Should we not be critical of Bill Zebub because he's an actual filmmaker? No, because it's easy to make bad films. All you need is the money. I respect someone that can make movies and do it well. And since he's working in a genre that appeals to me, it's sad that the one who's getting the opportunities is blowing them so badly every time out.

Likewise, if I read your writing, I don't care if you worked well with your editor, if you made your deadlines or how you may have done your research, it's what I actually read that's important. (BTW, I like your writing style.)

I think the hostility toward Bill Zebub stems from frustration. He had until recently solicited and received (for the most part) constructive criticism. But lately, he's thumbed his nose at any suggestion after asking for our opinions. It's like this:

Don't get me wrong. I do wish Bill all the success in the world, and I admire the way he keeps his posts civilized in the face of such criticism. And I also respect his moxie for making the films that he does (subject-wise).

I do hope he finally gets it, but lately I get the feeling he is either incapable or unwilling to do so.

And yet, I am still not buying a high-definition player until a clear victor has been declared. And I suspect there are a lot of people just like me. Because they know they'll be going high-def soon, they're not buying regular DVDs any more (except for porn), which has caused DVD sales to drop this year. At the same time, they're not buying high-definition DVDs or players, because they don't want to gamble on getting stuck with the 21st century version of Beta.

I hope this is the year the format war ends.

If anyone wants to find out more info about the movies that jyydubs capped, Brian's Page has the best bondage scenes resource on the Internet. No actual reviews like we have here, but you can at least find out more about what happens bondage-wise in some of them if you check their database (linked above).

A Canadian: I heard on Paul Harvey news this week that Blockbuster Video has made the decision to ONLY carry regular DVD and Blu-Ray in their stores, so I think we can safely say that the format war is over. I'm not a fan of Blockbuster but there's no denying that they are one of the giants in the video industry.

I'm one of the last dinosaurs on the planet as far as adapting to new technological changes (still don't even have a cell phone, for instance), but can someone answer a simple question for me? If you get a high def TV, can you still play regular DVDs? Or do I have to start all over again in updating my movie collection? Anyone think DVDs are going to go the way of VHS tapes soon?

I mean, #1, wouldn't I need to buy 2 dvd recorders? (I don't even have one at the moment), and #2 isn't most everything these days have copyright protection guards?? And most of my stuff is fairly recent... Someone at work told me there's ways to get around the copyright guard, but I don't know how valid those ways are...

Any ideas?

However, you could create a nice compilation disc using just a DVD recorder and another regular DVD player. The trick would be ensuring you start the recording before you begin playing the disc on the regular DVD player (that's how you get around the copyright protection).

You would also be advised to use the pause button on the DVD recorder, so that you can easily fit more scenes onto the recorded disc, and so that you can switch discs in the regular player without worrying about the copyright protection.

One option for creating more polished discs from a DVD recorder alone is to use rewriteable discs (DVD+RW or DVD-RW) in your DVD recorder. The rewriteable discs allow you to make edits using the DVD recorder, so you could create some pretty nice looking compilation discs, with some chapter menus for each scene.

One other thing. I also have a few VHS tapes that I'd like to do the same thing to as well, and record them to DVDs. I know the quality won't be very good, but it should be decent although maybe a bit grainy...Would you suggest me buying a DVD Recorder/VHS combo for this purpose?? And if so, do you or any others have any recommendations?? Sorry, I"m new at this...

My one piece of advice would be that if you buy a DVD recorder, you should try a few practice recordings on a DVD-R disc before trying the DVD-RW discs (for editing, etc.). I'm probably just being cautious, but I would suggest getting a bit familiar with the technology before you try the DVD-RW discs. Once you have the hang of it, you'll find the DVD-RW discs are pretty easy to use.

Direct connection from VHS player to DVD recorder works really well. My most important discovery is that old tapes that have not been played in a while will cause a buildup on the heads of your player. You will probably notice a gradual loss of picture quality after a few playbacks but not to worry. Simply open the unit and swab down all surfaces that contact the tape with alcohol and a q-tip. Be very gentle with the head (that's the large chrome cylinder). If you take it to the repair shop they'll charge you twenty bucks for the same job, that's why I started doing it myself. I actually left the screws out of the cover so I could do regular maintenance rather quickly. It sounds like a primitive thing to do but if your tapes are more than ten years old or have been stored improperly you will probably encounter this problem.

A Canadian: I have also been disappointed that I can no longer make compilations because of copy protection. I tried your suggestion about hitting record before loading a disc in the player and it didn't work. Am I doing something wrong? I miss my comps.

If that doesn't work, I don't know what to say. It may be you have a DVD recorder that is more sensitive (or more recent) than mine.

I hear that there's software that you can download that breaks the code for copyright protection...I've never tried it, but I know that I've come up with many hits with googling it....

Ralphus: As far as I know, you can play normal DVDs on both HD-DVD and Blu-Ray players as well as high-def TVs. Check out this site for some of the basics about the new formats, as well as some sound advice. One thing I'm looking forward to are the multi-layer discs for compilations. Imagine a single disc containing 24 hours or more of GIMP scenes. The mind boggles.

I'm not sure why he should use DVD-R discs. He'll just have to throw them away if they're no good. Whereas RW discs can just be erased and rewritten.

RALPHUS - I hate that I have to upload my screens to a porn site. Especially when my content is mainly R-rated. I hate all the ads, etc... But it is free, so I shouldn't complain. HD and Blu-Ray players/HD TV's will play normal DVD's fine. Most will "up-convert" them too. That is if you use an HDMI cable. This actually improves the quality of the standard dvd. I have been using HD LCD TV's and computer screens for around 4 years and it is awesome. The difference is real. The resolution is just amazing in HD. It's not just a little better, it's a lot better! Dish Network has great HD channels too. The technology just keeps getting better and the prices lower. You can't go wrong by waiting it out.

I have used Ring Divas, MC Dark Territory and Video Mayhem for orders. I do wish they all would do a better job listing actresses, and describing their product.

Anyway I have also recently discovered the Giga and Gallop Titles which I like a lot. A quick question, are there any other sources for these titles? I have tried XXXDvd but they are very pricey, like $92 US for region 2 titles. And Giga is charging 40-45 for downloads which they don't guarantee will even work on a Mac! I do have a region 2 player, but prefer all region DVD's. I will have some reviews coming.

It appears Ring Divas is selling originals for 15$, which is why I chafe at sending 92$ (10000 yen) to XXX DVD. If anyone knows of any other sources I would love to hear about them, Giga has a huge catalog with even some older Rico Tachabana things but no one carries them.

As for posting a review, the reviews are initially posted on the main page, the same way you would post any other item on the board. Like any other post, the review will go up on the main page right away (well, more or less right away, depending on whether Dreambook is cooperating). You will then likely get some feedback from other GIMPers, and Ralphus the midget moderator will take a look at the review, checking for any offensive content (just to be clear -- he is actually expecting offensive content. This is the GIMP site, after all). Ralphus will then add the review to the Reviews page.

It turns out the psycho killer has her tied up and gagged nude on the roof of the elevator that they keep using. They keep going up and down not realizing she is there.

Ralphus, more pretty 3D pictures, please!

I believe I purchased this one from MCDarkteritory and it was one of the first Jap AV torture films I saw that I really enjoyed. It has all the elements, stomach punching, electrical torture, whipping and rape. The movie plot appears to be a young women who is undercover as some kind of adviser to a "lizard man" alien and she morphs into a black costumed super hero. The actress is Moe Kimijima. She is attractive, a bit on the thin side with a cute face and great legs. Anyway she morphs into a bare midriff with shorts and caped costume super hero. She takes on the Aliens henchmen and defeats them easily, but the alien calls two super aliens who hold her and knock her out with a gut punch. She does a very convincing job of reacting to the body blow.

She is then awakes tied AOH. First she is tortured with electrical devices for information. The electrical torture is fairly well simulated with good sound effects and Moe reacts convincingly. She is even tortured in the mouth with the electrical devices. Electrical torture receives an A

Then her mask is removed and she is whipped. The whipping is very convincing, she writhes and moans and whip marks appear on her body. She is whipped until she loses consciousness. I would give her great points for acting and if they would have removed the cape and exposed her back it would have been an exceptional scene. As it was I'll give it a B+

She then awakes tied spread eagle to a table. This is the typical AV "groping into orgasm" scene. I've always wondered about this. I mean if a bunch of hot chicks want to tie me down and grope me into orgasm, I don't know if I would complain. They use a vibrator on her and fondle her (censored) And they fondle her tits, but don't completely uncover them? I don't understand this line of thinking. You have a super human helpless and you don't strip her? To me stripping adds to the humiliation. I like helpless women spread eagle but this scene wasn't what it should have been, I'll give it a C+

The orgasm scene is followed by a rape scene where the lizard alien takes her from the back and front. She is held down for most of the scene and struggles and screams appropriately. Unfortunately like most AV flicks the rape appears consensual in spots. But it's more believable than most AV rape scenes. Worth a B+

She then wakes up in a cell and escapes, easily defeats the alien henchman but is recaptured in an exact replay of the original capture. I like stomach punches so I didn't mind. After the recapture she is raped repeatedly as the movie ends. Overall I'd rate it higher if it wasn't for some of the traditional flaws. Why she didn't show her tits (she does in other flicks) is beyond me. Had she been stripped early in the film it would have been an A+. But will have to settle for an A- Recommended.

Well, more Dreambook problems. Two more posts that had already gone through magically vanished from our site without a trace today. Fortunately, I had e-mail backups and was able to restore them to the book, but this is total crap. It isn't the first time Dreambook has eaten posts, and it was by sheer luck that I even noticed it. Paramount drops HDDVD. End of format war?

Paramount studios is poised to drop its support of the high-definition DVD (HD DVD) format after Warner Bros studio said it would back the competing Blu-ray format, the Financial Times reported on Tuesday.The loss of support from Paramount, which is owned by Viacom Inc, would likely deal the final blow to the HD DVD format backed by Toshiba Corp and put an end to the format war, the newspaper said on its Web site. Time Warner Inc's Warner Bros studio on Friday said it would exclusively release high-definition DVDs in Sony Corp's Blu-ray format, marking a major setback to the HD DVD camp.

Blu-ray discs outsold HD DVD by nearly two-to-one in the United States last year, but HD DVD had secured major allies in August when Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks Animation SKG Inc said they would go exclusively with HD DVD. But Paramount is understood to have a clause in its contract with the HD DVD camp that would allow it to change sides if Warner Bros backed Blu-ray, the Financial Times said, citing people familiar with the situation. However, Paramount spokeswoman denied this news as speculative with "Paramount's current plan is to continue to support the HD DVD format".

Forgive me but I think you guys who buy DVD's are idiots. Nearly every "Attackers" movie I own I got from "emule" or some other file-sharing program. Sure, I pay for some stuff but it's typically the stuff that doesn't have a wide enough following to be available for free like powershotz.com or antonvideo.com and dan-hawke.com Hmmm...as I write this I've discovered a strange paradox. If you're a porn producer who becomes successful it becomes your undoing because your stuff will become available for free online.

People, porn is moving away from the TV screen and onto the 'puter screen so enough of this nonsense about "Blueray" and whatnot. Just get a TV-out card and you can watch it on TV anyway.

I have a 100 gig portable hard drive containing all my Attackers stuff which is better than having a bunch of DVD's stashed somewhere that some family member might find. Just plug it in the USB port when I want to view it and then take it out and stash it when I'm done. Anybody who finds it won't even know what it is. I have a kid so keeping the main hard drive on my 'puter kid friendly is also a major concern.

With respect to the poll...keep her mouth available and open unless she's a bad actress who just spouts stupid lines and ruins the whole experience. Also, and I can only say this about one actress Kayla Paige...she has a really unattractive mouth but the rest of the package is A+. I discovered this after seeing her tape gagged on detectivechronicles.com and then seeing her without the tape gag on other sites.

Just one quick note guys, I received 6 DVD's today. Mostly Riko Tachibana stuff and a couple of Moe Kimishin's. I ordered Riko Tachibana special, and it wouldn't play on my DVD player. Most of the stuff wasn't great, although she is. Anyway, there was one scene that was extremely memorable. In the flick Riko Tachibana's "Transformation Project" ) IESP-244, there is a spread eagle mechanical dildo scene that is exceptional. It is perhaps the best I've seen so far. Although it is not intended to be a torture flick and the rest of the flick is marginal, she screams and rives against her bounds like someone going thru the worst torture possible. Frankly, I'm always cautious when I read these kinds of stories -- whether they are about porn DVDs, mainstream DVDs or CDs. Everyone blames Internet downloading when sales are down -- and there's no doubt it's a factor -- but other issues may also be at work.

In the case of American vanilla porn, one issue affecting DVD sales may be that so much of it is boring. The U.S. porn industry really doesn't produce stars any more -- even the article had to refer to Jenna Jameson as the example of Vivid's star-making power, though Jenna is well past her prime. Far too many of the women in U.S. porn today have ridiculously fake boobs, and there just seems to be too much on-the-fly gonzo stuff. There's no director that I know of today who compares with daring '80s and '90s directors such as Gregory Dark and Robert Black (yes, I know Black is still around).

Maybe the current political climate in the U.S. also has something to do with it, but modern American porn is mostly dull. And in today's world, when you can get much better stuff from Japan, it's no wonder sales are dropping.

Are the predictions about the end of the disc credible? Perhaps. Then again, it was only a few days ago we were being told Obama would smoke Hillary in New Hampshire.

The thing is, though, I would personally prefer to buy DVDs as opposed to downloading them off a website and watching them online. I hate having to watch something on my PC; it's too inconvenient, you can't fast-forward, etc. Or you could download them and burn them onto your own DVD, which means extra steps to download, combine the parts, reformat them, burn them to DVD...that sounds like a lot of work, and I don't know how to do that, anyway. Buying a DVD is just easier. Pop it in and enjoy. The problem is, a lot of the bondage porn is only out there for download only. I would buy the DVDs if they were available.

As far as the 2 free YouTube porno sites that were mentioned in the article (YouPorn and PornoTube), I had never heard of them, so I took a quick look to see what's really out there. And while the selection may be good for vanilla (read...boring) adult material, the pickings for GIMPers is either really sparse or nonexistent, at least on these 2 sites.

A search of YouPorn for "bondage" resulted in...0 results. None. Nada. A search for "rape" came up with one hit...a woman raping a man (WTF?) Torture...nothing. Clearly, they don't allow the kind of stuff we like. Thanks for the look, YouPorn! I won't be back.

Pornotube at least has bondage content, although not really a lot. There were 167 results for "bondage" (most of what I saw were short preview clips from sites like Sex and Submission and Hogtied), 6 for "torture" (looked mostly boring) and only 3 for "rape" (2 animes and one gay rape clip). Now, on with the show and by that I mean it's Movie Review Friday. Today the offering is a Japanese pinku film from 1986, "Sisters to be Sacrificed". Run time is 70 minutes. It stars Minako Ogawa and Miko Matsumoto as the sisters. Directed by Shogoro Nishimura and written by Oniroku Dan. I obtained my copy from Video Mayhem but Larry seems to have consigned it to the landfill. The above url shows a cover shot from The Candles Room where it is still available.

A blind girl lives with her father at his place of business, a rural tavern/inn/restaurant establishment. Father dies and she honors him in a small Shinto ceremony. One of the male employees enters and starts to fondle her and attempts a rape but is interrupted by a female employee. The girl escapes and the employee enters. It is obvious these two employees are lovers as they screw at the shrine. Later, this woman leads the girl to the basement which is replete with a cage, chains, rope etc. The man awaits and they strip her for some fondling. While the female holds her down the male rapes her on the floor. Upon completion they bind her wrists behind and place her in the cell.

They then ransack her room and find the key to the safe which is loaded with cash, bearer bonds and various investment vehicles and assets. The older sister of the blind girl arrives from out of town, pays respects to her father and walks in on a bash hosted by the employees using their new found wealth. The male employee convinces her all is well. Later, she sees her sister's ring on the female employee and gets suspicious. By now, blind sister is bound and gagged in an upstairs room and the employees are sending their new found friends there to have their way with her.

The older sister begins to explore and enters the basement where the other girl is bound naked, kneeling on a table surrounded by an assortment of the employees and their whacky pals. A confrontation ends badly for big sister who is subdued and has to watch as blind girl is bent forward on her knees and a crotch rope applied to a hoist. Two Sumo wrestler types with complete body tattoos have their way with her to everyone's amusement - well, except big sister who is ordered to strip and complies. She is stretched out on another table and raped by one of the posse as her sister suffers the same fate on the other table. Both are bound wrists behind and deposited in the cage.

While the gang goes back to feasting and drinking the female employee enters the cell, collars big sister and brings her to join the festivities. She is bent over on the floor and they administer an enema with some red wine. Then they shake up a bottle of beer and spray it up her ass. She is untied and led back to the cell, a hand up her ass the entire way. Once there, the effects come to fruition and she relieves herself as her sister remains caged. Later, a member of the party enters and begins to rape the blind sister. Big sister convinces him to tap her instead. He unties her but the girls make an escape attempt. They are quickly recaptured.

Punishment begins as big sister is bound wrists behind, upper body harnessed and hoisted by her ankles from the ceiling. The female employee lashes her with a splayed bamboo rod. Blind sister is bound wrists behind and upper body wrapped to a nearby wall where she is lashed with the cat as the group looks on. Big sister is then strapped to a table AOH, legs spread and ankles secured where she is violated with an enormous daikon radish. Blind sister stands AOH to the ceiling, is then released and forced to do her sister with the by now emulsified radish contents.

This group of hilarious funsters have been improvising a device for their amusement. They have fabricated an electronically operated teeter-totter. On each seat is a large squirming dildo positioned for entry on each up-down cycle. Each sister is properly placed, ankles strapped in and thighs secured. Each has a rope to hold onto in front of her. A rather interesting variant on the popular playground game, don't you think? Using the ropes, each sister tries to spare the other the humiliation by taking the dildo herself. By the time it's over both have been reduced to quivering blobs of protoplasm.

It seems the female employee has now sold out her lover and a couple of party members stab him. She drives off in a panel truck with her new love and all the assets. The stabbed guy makes it to a phone before he expires and the fuzz close in. They open the truck and find the two sisters in a small cage inside a crate pleasuring each other. God, how I hate happy endings. The End

Movie Pluses - Excellent production values, both chicks are very attractive, great plot.

Movie Minuses - needed a tad more on the torture end here but that's common for me.

The Verdict - a fun way to blow an hour - that and I simply dig the pinku productions.

The first paragraph, describing the reaction some teenagers had to an offer of free CDs, is definitely an eye-opener:

The bondage artist Wayne Wine did a great variation of that theme in his series he did for Dofantasy called "Horror Hunt" in which this gorgeous babe is captured by some sadistic men and then they turn her loose in an abandoned building and tell her they're going to hunt her down as prey. I just wish the movies did something like that with the storyline, too. Hunting down women is a great idea, but it's more foreplay than anything else. You've got to have a payoff. If nothing happens to them, capture-wise, that's just a tease.

Steve Power: Thanks for the clip. Ashleigh is cute enough, although personally I would have covered up the tats first (I sound like a broken record, don't I?). Man, it was disappointing. It's no wonder sales are down. The display of available movies was completely uninspiring. Here are just some of my observations:

• There were no big stars: Two particular actresses, Nautica Thorn and Staci Thorn, seemed to show up in a few movies, but I didn't see anyone who looked like a big name. The only person being marketed on the strength of her name was someone known as Kim Kardashian, who I gather is something of an accidental porn star.

• The marketing was uninspired: Maybe it has to do with the political climate, maybe it has something to do with the smaller sizes for DVD covers (vs. the old VHS box covers), but most of the cover art for vanilla porn was quite bland. Really dull stuff. It's like the producers think there are still people who get excited seeing an average-looking man and an average-looking woman sucking and fucking (haven't these people heard of cable?).

• The movies look uninspired: I didn't actually rent any titles, but the still photos on the back covers of the DVDs looked pretty lame. I didn't see anyone taking any risks. In fact, I suspect it's considered risque for a guy to pull a woman's hair in a fuck scene these days.

• Old-timers rule: Many of the people making this stuff -- Paul Thomas, John Stagliano, John Leslie, Rocco Siffredi, Peter North -- have been around forever. I mean, Thomas was one of the hippie disciples in Jesus Christ, Superstar.

• Old-timers rule II: Some of the strumpets who appear on screen, such as Sylvia Saint and Tiffany Mynx, have also been around for a very long time (although Sylvia still looks fine).

Naked Fear: Personally I don't care much for the hunt-to-kill theme, even if the women are naked. I'd rather have them hunted and captured and then tortured and humiliated. Any idiot can shoot a helpless woman in the wilderness. A villain who binds a victim and has his way with her for days shows much more imagination and creativity.

One of my childhood GIMP experiences was a "Charlie Angels" episode called "Angel Hunt." Same theme, and Shelley Hack get bound and gagged. It would have been nice if she was tortured a bit.

Are discs dead? I use a new music CD maybe once to upload it into my iPod, and then the disc simply gathers dust because my iPod is also hooked into my stereo. Much of my porn viewing on TV comes from DVDs recorded in my external hard drive, and then the DVDs are stashed away. So yeah, I'd say discs could also be on the way out. It's tough to keep up with all the technological advances.

A Canadian: Thanks for your investigative report. I got bored of vanilla porn years and years ago. I probably wouldn't even watch it if the hottest babes were in it and it was free. I think the kink.com family of sites used to have much more variety (pre 2257) than they do today. They used to have abduction shoots, cages, strange devices, etc. Now the only difference between one shoot and the next is whether the implants are silicone or saline.

I've never ordered one of Gruesome Horror's compilation DVDs, but I've downloaded a couple of their original productions from their nicheclips site. I'm a big fan of interrogation torture scenes, but their movies didnt really do it for me.

Speaking of DVDs, I'm not ready to throw away my player just yet, either. Although get this: Netflix sent me an e-mail today. Just for being a member, I can now watch over 6,000 movies and TV shows instantly on my PC...free! I checked one out tonight to see what it was like, and the quality is excellent, even blown up to full screen. But again, it's not my preference...no fast-forwarding, no commentary tracks, my computer monitor is only 14 inches, etc. Still, pretty amazing how technology has advanced this rapidly.

ikugan: I bought a JVC all-region DVD player online years ago and I love mine. I paid considerably more than $50 but it was worth it. And I can play DVDs from overseas with no problem.

MasterDetective: I don't believe there are any legal requirements that say you can't show bondage with penetration, but it seems to be pretty much accepted in the industry that if you make a movie like that, you're opening yourself up to be prosecuted for obscenity violations. It doesn't matter whether it's illegal or not, in this political climate you're guilty until proven innocent, and even when you do prove you're innocent, by then you're bankrupt so the bad guys win, anyway.

There are some other nicheclips stores like in shadow, horrorgasm and dark fantasies that have some bondage/torture but usually with necro which I'm not into.

Mainstream flicks: I've been busy as hell lately but I managed to check out a couple of mainstream movies mentioned here recently: Abducted by the Daleks and On Bloody Sunday. To sum up, both movies could have been sooooo good, but they pussied out.

Briefly, On Bloody Sunday is a legit horror movie with shitloads of torture. But most of the victims are GUYS! And the prolonged tortures involve GUYS! One woman gets tied to a chair, tits exposed, and she gets packing in her mouth and a wrap-around tape gag. But the villain covers her face with a picture of her "missing" photo so we cannot see her facial expressions, even though she does a good job of mmmmphing though the gag. She gets doused in gasoline and set on fire, but we don't get to see that part. Fer fuck's sake. They showed a guy getting castrated with blood spurting from his groin, but we cannot even see a gagged girl's face?

Another woman gets tied to a chair, gets blindfolded, escapes, gets caught, gets tied up to the chair again, gets blindfolded, escapes, and ... well, you get the idea.

Abducted by the Daleks was a bigger disappointment. The movie was supposed to be a sleaze fest, and it was to a certain extent, but it failed to deliver IMHO. The women were all hot as hell, but the bondage was lame. One of the final scenes was a naked babe tied to a tree with a duct tape gag. She is fondled by an alien-lumberjack guy. Sound good? Sure, but there was no intensity and no sense of peril. If you are into sci-fi bondage, get any ZFX Shockwave production instead.

Poll: As I have mentioned before, I got bored silly of vanilla porn years ago. So my answer is C. My answer to the poll would be "C". I find straight porn terribly boring. Years ago, I was the only kid on the block with two VCR's so everyone brought their porn to me so they could trade with their friends. I ran copies for myself and kept it all to this day but I never watch any of it. Somewhere in the early 90's I saw one where this guy was kidnapped and raped by women. A woman would have to be pretty damn hot, and to my particular tastes, before I would enjoy watching a vanilla movie for the sake of her. I've watched a number of vanilla porn movies - mostly with friends who are not into bondage, and thought that it was the way to have a good time - and I wouldn't mind if I never saw another one. Having said that, I do like a number of higher class 'erotic' mainstream movies, but that's when there are real actors/actresses acting well, and convincing me that sex is really happening.

An interesting question I once asked myself was whether I would enjoy a vanilla movie if I imagined that it was a rape movie - OK, I'm not a huge rape fan, but nc is important - and I tried it with some glossy XXX-er, and the answer was a big 'NO' - I didn't last five minutes.

I like some mainstream movies as much or more as much of the porn stuff. Movies like "Fair Game" (the Aussie one), and Beautiful Hunter. As a kid I remember Charlie's Angels (TV) when Cheryl Ladd was in peril or beaten, I remember Lynda Carter as Wonder Women getting captured or Ornella Muti, whipped and tortured in Flash Gordon. I got a rise from those scenes. If she's stripped or tied AOH all the better. Elaborate bondage movie ties don't do it because no bad guy or interrogator would do that in real life.

I have certainly seen my share of vanilla porn, as bondage movies weren't available (to the best of my knowledge) in my area in the VHS years. Now that I can buy and rent bondage and rape movies, I rarely watch vanilla porn.

Still, I can enjoy a good vanilla scene, every now and then. Aw, geez, I knew someone was gonna ask me to add everything up. It's really hard to give a definitive answer since so many people gave multiple reasons for liking this and that type of gag. Real pisser about those two mainstream films you reviewed. Ralphus, to answer your question about why torturing women in movies is un-PC but violence by women to men in movies is overlooked.

Couple of reasons. 1) Women are the weaker sex and society frowns on those that are weaker, such as women, children, the elderly, the disabled, etc. being victimized by the stronger counterpart group.

Another reason is that that movies like "Hostel" are mainly made for a male audience. So naturally the vast majority of them have women as victims. There's only a handful in which women get the chance to be tormentors of men. Even then it's more like the climax of the movie, not the full narrative.

I can only think of "I Spit on Your Grave" "Descent" and "Hard Candy" as examples of women abusing men.

Today, in New York, there's a movie opening getting the arthouse treatment called "Teeth" that sort of modifies that model of the female torturer movie in that men torture is throughout the film. The plot is that a girl who's chaste has a vagina with sharp teeth. Of course the stupid men who try to force or convince her to have sex get their penises cut off. Reviews revealed that that you don't see the dentured pussy, but there are lots of scenes of mutilated dicks.

Once again, pretty much all of the available titles looked so bland. The packaging of these movies is no different than what you would have seen 10 years ago, and in some cases, 20 years ago. I honestly tried, but couldn't really find anything that showed any real imagination or creativity. Here is some of what I found this time out:

• More examples of oldies: Francesca Le is still making porn, as is Jenna Jameson. Most shocking of all, early-'80s starlet Ginger Lynn is still getting nailed on camera. • Robert Black is dead: Well, not literally. But the shock factor that worked so well for Black and Extreme Associates in the '90s has pretty much disappeared from today's porn shelves. I didn't see anything that suggested anyone was trying to push any boundaries.

• Joey Buttafuoco's one-time squeeze, Amy Fisher, has made a porn film, as has that goofy looking guy who played Screech on Saved by the Bell. I doubt anyone still cares about Amy Fisher, although she is aging better (so far) than Ginger Lynn.

Like a couple of others here I would just as soon see naked women in mainstream movies as opposed to a straight porn vid which can be so boring.

There have been rumors floating about for a little while, but it now appears to be confirmed on JAVTalk that Riko Tachibana has retired. It's not surprising, as she has had a long and busy run in Japanese porn, but kinda sad nonetheless.

They frisk him, but even if he did have something, he was warned that cops were there, and he comes up negative for any more drugs.

By now, I'm now joking with these 8 guys (they realize she is of legal age). I'm speaking Spanish to the Hispanic cop, and since no sex was taking place (only some silly bondage flick) there is no case (except the pot). They have relaxed a lot by this point, and give some parting shot like "have a nice day" or something, and they leave.

No, I didn't finish the video! It may take me a little while before I can do that. So let's get on with it - today, we shall review another pinku effort, "Beautiful Teacher in Torture Hell". This is a Nikkatsu production from 1985 starring Ran Masaki and Izumi Shima. Directed by Masahito Segawa, written by Oniroku Dan. Run Time is 67 minutes. I obtained my copy with an online trade. It is available on VHS and VCD format at the above link where there are a few screen shots.

A young teacher accepts a position in a mountainous area of rural Japan. She arrives by train and is picked up at the station by a slightly older female teacher. As they drive on a narrow mountain road they come upon a stalled vehicle blocking the route. Three young thug types emerge from the car and confront the women. One produces a knife and threatens older teacher while the other two fondle the still seat belted young teacher after reclining the seat. The other woman makes a break for it and her pursuer catches her in a creek bed, rips her clothes and attempts a rape. It would seem the young teacher has some martial arts training as she produces a kendo stick and pummels her two nimrods. She then rescues the other woman when the goon pulls his knife and she knocks him senseless.

Sometime later, the young teacher is instructing a class. She has taken a liking to one of her female students. This girl takes her into a lab where an unseen figure whacks the teacher from behind knocking her out. She wakes up in a hospital bed surrounded by her pupil, the older teacher and the school maintenance geek. She notices rope burns on her wrists. Back in her own room she is awakened at night and she decides to explore. She finds a secluded room where the older teacher is bound wrists behind then to the ceiling, one leg tied and elevated. Remember Riko: Along with the Maria Ozawa flicks, the February titles at Video Mayhem also include Riko Tachibana Special, which I reviewed back in November. As I mentioned the other day, Riko has reportedly retired, so this compilation disc is likely one of her final movies.

As another Canadian, I too have to navigate the evils of customs, but there is a practical solution - file sharing.

In reality, virtually every video that has been mentioned in this group with any kind of distribution is available in the file sharing world. True the quality varies hugely from DVD quality to You-tube, but it is available. It might take you a couple of days to download a 700M file, but it's still quicker than ordering online. A poster a few days ago mentioned that file sharing would turn your computer into a smouldering mess of viruses - in my experience knowing someone who has downloaded 100's of videos without any of them infected. And really, the virus scanning tools easily detect anything suspicious so the risk is minimal - surely a lot smaller than sending your credit card information to an internet distributor who may actually send you some videos, maybe.

The real issue is fairly compensating the creators of this fine material. After some unfortunate experiences with online distributors, and living in a country where I can't go down to the DVD rental store and pick out what I want, that route is not an option for me. The streaming video sites don't do it for me either.

The trouble is that once you start downloading virually anything that you want, for only the cost of your internet connection, the value that you place on these videos drops to the point that you can't rationalize paying even $10 for a DVD. But if we don't support guys like Rick, eventually the source will dry up. I'm not advocating that everyone start filesharing, but it is a solution to some unique situations (such as being Canadian).

After some unfortunate experiences with online distributors, and living in a country where I can't go down to the DVD rental store and pick out what I want, that route is not an option for me.

No doubt, our country is not exactly flooded with adult stores willing to rent or sell you the latest hardcore bondage releases. And getting movies across the border is tricky (I still curse the Custom guards who nabbed my copies of Forced Entry and Ballista 3: Bound for Glory back in 2004).

These movies are pirated copies, but there are no alternatives available to me (trust me, I'm finicky about my movies, and would rather be purchasing legitimate discs). The trouble with the SaveonAV.com guys is their selection is hit and miss, and they don't always get the films I want. That's why there was some hesitation in my remarks when I responded to Sloth yesterday -- I honestly don't know if SaveonAV.com will get the Maria Ozawa movies I want, or whether I will have to try to get them through other means.

The filesharing option is interesting, and I have to admit I'm thinking about it. But I'm not sure my head is there yet. I think I have something of a collector mentality -- when I find a truly great movie, I want to own it on disc, with the cover art. Who knows, maybe I'm just not transitioning well into this brave new world, but I like the feeling of owning something tangible. Still, I would be interested to know if the files you get online can be transferred to disc, in those cases where the quality of the film is good.

I wrote him back and told him he DID have control over it, he could look for another billing agent....or he could have contacted them for me and asked the why it was rejected, but he didn't seem to even care.. Based on the stills and short clips I have seen, here are some of my guesses about the quality of this movie. I suspect there are some scenes in the movie that won't work. Similar to Shark Special 35, which I reviewed last year, my guess is this movie will contain some "rape" scenes that look too much like vanilla porn. Despite some struggling and protests, the sex acts will look consensual.

However, I believe it is possible there will be at least a few Maria Ozawa scenes that are convincing and look pretty hot. At that point, the question will be whether the good scenes are good enough to make either or both parts of the movie worth recommending. I suspect the answer will be yes, but we shall see.

To be frank, I'm not sure what I posted that has you thinking I'm ashamed of my sexual preferences. I said it is difficult to explain why we have GIMP tendencies -- that was not meant to be a confession of shame. VM: A separate category devoted to Maria Ozawa makes complete sense to me. I think she is more beautiful than many of Hollywood's popular actresses (including the sober ones). I also think getting Attackers 104 is a great idea. My guess is that one will be better than the Shark Special movie, and the cover art alone ensures it should be a huge seller.

Before the "Gimp Forum Meltdown Week" continues let's do a movie review so that I can become the focus of all evil in the world today. Today's offering is the 1974 pinku production of "Flower and Snake", not to be confused with the 2004 and 2006 productions. This stars the queen of Japanese pinkus, Naomi Tani and is directed by Masaru Konuma. Run time is 73 minutes. I obtained my copy with an online trade but it is available at the above link.

We begin with a small Japanese boy walking in and seeing his mother having sex with a black guy, probably an American serviceman as he has a gun with him. The boy freaks, grabs the gun and pops a cap in the guy. The man tries to strangle the tot but expires. This in a dream sequence and the boy, now a young man, suddenly awakens. He hears noises and walks to the basement where he sees a number of young bound women in various stages of torment. His mother seems to make a living producing bondage flicks with some assistants. He keeps bondage photos in his room and pleasures himself with them. It would seem he suffers some sexual dysfunction. The next morning mom sends him off to work.

His business owner is shown in a rose garden tormenting the maid by having her kneel and exposing her ass so he can place silkworms on it then do her from behind. He produces a vial of some liquid and squirts it up her ass. The look on her face is priceless. She runs to the house to relieve herself. The owner looks in on his wife bathing. She seems frigid and prudish.

The young man has been assigned to report to the business owner and arrives at the house. The maid escorts him to the garden where the owner and wife are having a confrontation. He demands sex so she clips a rose and lashes his face with the thorny stem. The boss has tea with the young man and explains his task. Boss knows of the young man's inability to get off without bondage (sounds like me). Since his wife is frigid he does what any self respecting Japanese husband would do of course - turn her over to this young man for bondage training. The young man hones his rigging skills on a blow-up doll.

After drugging the boss's wife he drives her out to the country and while she's semi-conscious unsuccessfully attempts a rape but cannot function as she's not bound. He takes her to his place and ties her wrists to the bed. His mother comes in and slaps the chick. Mom seems proud of his efforts. Sonny ties the lady's ankles to a horizontal pole and hoists her legs. Mom brings in a large injector and they give the lady an enema. Sonny snaps a few photos and provides a plastic bag so she can relieve herself then does her on the bed. It would seem the enema purged the toxins responsible for her frigidity. He leaves her gagged, bound wrists behind and body wrapped, legs bound writhing on the floor and reports progress to the boss.

Mom has decided to torment the lass a bit so along with some male and female chums they hogtie her on the floor and force wine down her throat. She is retied wrists in front then to her ankles and thus hoisted in the air. Mom works her over with a riding crop. They force some paste like substance up her pussy. Sonny arrives home and orders them out, lowers her to the floor, unties her legs and taps her from behind. When finished, she is retied wrists behind and body wrapped so Sonny can give her a bath and body lotion massage. She is beginning to submit as he does her on the floor.

Next day Sonny runs into the maid and they go back to her place for dinner. She has some kind of seizure and passes out so he pulls down her drawers and does her on the floor. That night he stumbles home drunk, stopping to piss on posters of some white porn star chick. Once home he sees some black guy tapping his bondage mistress who is tied to the bed. Looks like mom hired this guy to come in to relive that childhood moment. Sonny reties the lady kneeling on the floor, neck bound to her knees.

Next day he takes her to a park, ties a rope around her waist and runs her in circles show horse style. He binds her wrists behind as they sit on a fountain and he shoves ice cream down her pie hole. He unties her so she can use the lady's room and when she returns she dotes on him. They go to a porn movie starring the guy his mom hired and the chick whose poster he pissed on. He has a flashback to that night in childhood and realizes it was his mother who shot the dude. He takes the chick to a phone booth, fondles and does her while wrapping the phone cord around her neck.

The boss comes to pick up his wife whose training is now done and all three drive home together. Once there they tie her wrists behind and body wrapped on a chaise and do her as the maid walks in and enjoys the spectacle. The End

Movie Pluses - Naomi Tani was excellent - able to sell a variety of scenes from simple bondage to torment to rape. The rigging was well done. It had a sleazy soundtrack that was a good fit.

Movie Minuses - a big shortage of physical torment. She submitted to her fate much too early. And another happy ending!

The Verdict - in technical and concept aspects is does not stand up well with the later "Flower and Snake" efforts. This is one of those flicks I enjoyed watching but simply cannot rate it all that high in terms of Gimp worthiness.

Now, I get off on many of the attackers Japanese torture movies. In fact, I just received a few from Video Mayhem yesterday, and he's sending me the rest of my order today, but it pretty much stops at fantasy. I can't stand to see blood in real life, and I can't even hurt an insect..LOL. I don't mind at all if blood/torture/rape is in a movie however, as long as I know the women in the movie agreed consensually to film it. My point is what we dig is no different than someone who's a horror movie fan and gets off on bloody and shocking slasher films....We aren't sick by any means, just another dark way of leaving reality for a while, and exploring the dark side of sexuality in fantasy... I guarantee you people who are into torturing and abusing women nonconsensually in real life, wouldn't even waste their time with message boards like this, and yes, they are the true sickos....

Fantasy is fun as long as it stays fantasy :).

Anthropology lesson aside, there is no reason to be ashamed of our fantasies. It is obviously in our programming for a very good reason. I'm just not sure why. Modern society has told us to be ashamed. (good GIMPERs don't). IMHO-we would all be better off living by the primordial laws of the jungle. Shark Special #38 Part 2

First, I bought both parts; they both feature Ayumu Kase, the ultimate plucky little (4'11") victim who is a great screamer, and has those great pleading eyes. Part one was a bore. I found myself hitting the fast forward a lot and I wouldn't recommend. But Part Two has its merits.

It starts out with two larger women manhandling a nude Kase. Ayumu pleads with them but they seem to have their way with her tying her, wax torturing, and slapping her around. Plus some dildo rape. I found this part (about the first third of the movie) mediocre with a few high points. The wax torture was executed poorly; get this, they would poor it on their own hands then drop it on Ayumu. How is that supposed to be believable? I'm not a big fan of wax torture anyway and this scene did nothing to change that opinion.

Then two men enter the room. Ayumu's diminutive size, along with her pleadings make this section especially effective. They tie Ayumu up in various intricate ties, which I'm not a fan of, but they torment her enough while it's tied to be effective. They also torture her with a plastic bag and suffocation; her reactions are very effective and the scene definitely works.

Then a third man enters the room and they continue slapping her around in various intricate rope ties. A quick word about the actors, I don't know where they got these men but one looks like Roy Orbison, and one looks like a Japanese Mick Jagger. I kept waiting for Jim Morrison to enter the room. At this point they tie her in an elaborate tie with a dildo that she reacts to like electric shock, not a great scene but not bad.

Then the coup de grace. Ayumu is tied arms overhead, nude, in one of the most effective whipping scenes I've seen in a long time. She struggles and screams as the whip wraps around her body. Her expressions and reactions are priceless. This is a long scene, and well worth the price of the movie. Especially as she hangs her head in exhaustion at the end.

Plot: Non existent. I have no clue whether she's a sex slave, a kidnap victim or a reluctant but willing participant. Like many of these movies, her actions don't always contribute to an explanation either.

Bondage: I'm not a fan of extreme intricate rope work; for the most part it appears to be a waste of time, as in some of the scenes more time is spend tying then tormenting.

Acting: No Oscars here and the tormentors are not the center of the performance, but Ayumu makes it believable, whatever it (see plot) is?

Grade: I'll recommend with a solid B +, and if you're a fan of AOH whipping it's a must have for the collection.

As for part 2 of Shark Special 38, I have to say I like whippings, and I love Ayumu Kase, so this movie sounds like a winner to me.

As one of the few who posted here liking vanilla, chocolate, strawberry and pistachio sex, may I pose that someone who can ONLY get off to bondage / rape / whatever may be limiting themselves (I wouldn't go so far as to say they're afraid of the other forms of sex, though). I like a good fantasy strangulation to the death, but I balance that with teens getting fucked hard and nasty and black girls with cum on their face, as well as bumping nasties with my sweetie in a "vanilla" kind of way. I don't let any one form of sex "define" me, and I feel that I'm more open because of it.

If you don't like all the forms of sex I like, that doesn't necessarily make you uptight, or afraid of my versions of sex.

Actually, we're not that far off, but to me, the first half with Naomi Tani being tied and tortured was well worth the price of the video. After she finally submitted, the rest of the film didn't do much for me, but you can't discount that first half. I think a grade of C is too low.

And I'm one of the few that thinks the original was actually superior to the remake (also in the Reviews section under its original Japanese spelling, "Hana to Hebi"). That film left me cold, and I got much more into the story of the first film. Of course, Naomi Tani was a great JAV actress, one of the first superstars of the genre.

Elkcreek: Another very impressive review; fun to read, too. That kinda sucks about how they did the wax torture; geez, you would expect something more competent in an Attackers production. Ayumu Kase looks like a purty lil thing, and I wouldn't mind watching her suffer and scream.

As for the 'are we sick or not' discussion - I have tonnes of thoughts on this, and very little time, but I'll quickly put down a few of the key points:

- Sometimes it's fun to have sick thoughts, and know that they're sick, or wrong;

- I find it highly interesting that what you might call 'the general public' (particularly the more uptight/right wing parts of the media) take pleasure in cruelty whenever they seem to feel that it will be socially acceptable, whether it's saying how much they're looking forward to such and such a prisoner getting raped in prison (!), or laughing at the humiliation of some airheaded actress who gets photographed in a dishevelled state.

- Regarding jhlipton's post (and It's great that you've decided to stick around), and at the risk of seeming to contradict what I just wrote, one of the biggest mistakes that any of us can make is to think that our preferences are the 'genuine' ones of the majority, if only they'd lighten up. Some people are genuinely perverted, and not into it to impress their buddies. Some people are 100% vanilla, and will never understand non-vanilla sex. Some people like a mixture. There's only one person who's preferences we can ever get a real grip on (if we're lucky), and that's ourselves. For everyone else, we're just guessing, or taking their word for it (or not).
