Excellent observations. I believe that our own Rick Maters has “mastered” the technique you described, at least in some of his fine work. I may have to go back and review some material to confirm this (oh, the things I’ll endure for research). Another fine technique is the one used by our very own Ralphus in BSF. Ralphus used alligator clips, which allow the direct application of current to the nipple, but do not completely obstruct the view. Alligator clips also add an element of discomfort, even with the current off, that tape does not.

Electric shock to the titties: (God I love talking about stuff like this!) Personally, I like the current to go directly into the nipple, because nipples are extremely sensitive and it hurts even more. I appreciate a good titty shake, but trust me, they'll shake plenty when they get zapped with a 110 volts directly through her little pink nips, and I know that from personal experience. Earlier this week, I had the chance to watch Nakadashi Raped a Beautiful TV Reporter, the Maria Ozawa rape movie that was recently reviewed by Hiccup (review). It's not hard to understand why Maria is an international star -- she is absolutely gorgeous.

Unfortunately, I wasn't as impressed with the movie itself. I liked some of the scenes where villains were taking Maria captive, but I found the actual rapes looked too consensual. Darkroom: I don't know anything about the legalities of hiring talent. However, I do have some thoughts about the content of your movie. Here is my list of recommendations:

• Talent: You have to hire attractive women. Now, true beauties like Lisa Kinkaid and Maria Ozawa are a rare find. But that doesn't mean you can't find attractive women. You should be able to get someone who looks at least as good as Maxine from Sgt. Major's Bondage Classics one, or Tyler Scot from the Dan Hawke movies.

• No tattoos or blown-up breasts: I hate tattoos, and so does pretty much every other GIMPer. Boob jobs are also a no-no. I would make some allowances in the facial looks department if your actresses have natural bodies, with little or no ink.

• Diversity: Pretty much every actress in American bondage porn is lily white. Maybe that's the only talent available, but it sure would be nice to see beautiful women from different backgrounds receiving their just desserts.

• Degradation and humiliation: American bondage movies are good at dishing out the punishment, but not so good at stripping away the victim's dignity and self-respect. The Japanese do this much better. I love some of the Japanese movies where a beautiful teacher is blackmailed by her male students, and forced to strip in front of her leering class.

• Clever dialogue: You should have at least one victim use the line, "Go fuck yourself, you pineapple."

I placed a DVD order today for the RingDivas.com female torture movies Sayuri Blood Chronicles and Girls of War. I'm looking forward to these films, as I like the pictures I have seen of Empress Sayuri, and Valerie Wyndham (SoCal Val) was looking hot on last night's edition of TNA: Impact.

I'm not so sure about RingDivas' new movie, Sons of Seth. I will wait for the official review from MAV, but the trailer looks somewhat Bill Zebub-ish.

I'm no expert as to what information you need to have, but I understand it is quite voluminous. Hopefully one of the producers who reads this forum will offer more of an idea as to what you'll need.

The movies I intend to shoot would indeed strip away the "victims" dignity. They would also involve tight bondage, inventive scenes, and a plot with dialogue, which I feel is what's missing from most of today's bondage movies. I feel the damsel's plight is made more severe when there's a story involved.

Bruno - as I just made that swap for four early Michelle Bauer movies that are winging their way torward me, thanks for that heads up on the "Special Request" scene - gives me something to look forward to.

Finally got around to viewing Hostel II. A few observations. For a mainstream effort I thought it pretty good on the bondage level. I was left rather unfulfilled for several reasons. I thought using the least attractive chick (Heather) in the most inventive scene was a wasted opportunity. While Bijou's scene was certainly provocative, ball gagged, fish nets and alluring outfit with a pair of fuck-me shoes. Far too short and brutal and not enough torment considering the situation. Get her naked for the love of pete and take some time to savor the moment. So a high grade for concept, low grade for execution.

Over the weekend had the chance to see a number from the "Masters of Horror" series - Larry Cohen's "Pick Me Up" - couple of nice Gimp moments even when done as a dark comedy - a rather fun little item to watch.

Buckeye - "Special Request" is a great Michelle Bauer movie. My personal favorite if I remember correctly. She has some great inventive scenes in that one.

Oh, and I got my copy of "Black Ribbon" on Monday. I don't give it high marks. Well, it's in my trash actually. The movie is decent and it has some pretty good nude bondage scenes. I just can't get past Debbie D. Her "acting" is so bad and she just doesn't do it for me. Also, none of the other hotter ladies end up in bondage. I appreciate that the filmmaker did deliver the bondage. We get her tied to a cross, locked in a cage, whipped, fondled, forced to give head, drug around in a dog collar and more. All while nude. The other interesting thing is that the guy has this mentally challenged man helping him with his deeds. This leads to some interesting situations. Almost comical. There is a female that helps him out too, she is pretty mean spirited also.

It's very weird in this country. We have Customs officers nabbing my ZFX purchases at the border, yet movies about Nazis raping and torturing women are available in mainstream stores. Makes no sense to me.

Anyway, the same store also has a movie called SS Experiment Love Camp, which appears to deal in similar themes. So here are my questions to the board: which one is better? And is there a significant difference between the two?

Any and all information on these movies would be greatly appreciated.

The two films are similar in that regard but differ considerably.

"SS Experiment" is a very dark, mean spirited, ugly film. The settings are more accurate to the times and places. The women are unattractive; the Nazi women, more believable. It really does have that hell-hole feel to it.

On the upside, there is far more GIMP action. There is lengthy full frontal nudity-electro-torture before the credits even start! The action is almost non-stop. The plot is based on medical experiments including (but not limited to) air pressure tests, injections, surgery, boiling and freezing the victims. Spice all this up with wine, women, and song and you have yourself a full blown exploitation thriller.

"SS Hell Camp" is more campy in nature. The Nazi's have bred a beast that I guess has something to do with creating a master race of killers-for-the-cause. Bad girls are put in his cage. He then proceeds to tear out their pubes (along with a chunk of flesh) and eats it before mauling them to death. It's pretty gross. The She-Nazi running the place and the victims are somewhat more pleasing to the eye.

Most of the film is boring and intercut with battle scenes that I understand were borrowed from a war movie by the same producer. There is really only one good scene when we tour the torture chamber three quarters into the film. I love this part though. The scenes that Hank just capped made me wear out the FF and slow-motion buttons on my machine.

Both films have dubbed sound.

I think you picked out 3 good ones. Like I say, I haven't seen The Bushwhacker, but after reading Robert's review, I definitely want to. The Pick-Up is a mainstream GIMP classic and Hot Spur is loaded with bondage and rape.

If I had to choose another Something Weird title, I would probably go for Wham Bam Thank You Spaceman, a film that's mostly fast-forward material except for one truly great segment where this cutie schoolgirl is attacked by a psycho, who proceeds to tie her up on a table, slice off all her clothes with a knife, then returns to rape her (although for some reason, she's not actually tied during the rape). Is it worth spending 10 bucks for a 3 or 4 minute segment? Absolutely, it's an outstanding segment that you'll watch (and enjoy) several times.

MasterDetective: The Misadventures of Lois Payne was one of my first experiences with ZFX, and that eye-popping box cover is what made me notice them in the first place. When I saw that box, I thought, this is either going to be great or else it's gonna be a piece of crap. I loved all those clothespins on her tied-up tits, but then I saw the electrical tape across her nipples and that intrigued me. Were they actually going to use electric torture on that woman? Would they be able to pull it off, or would it be totally fake? I stared at that cover every time I went into the video store before I finally took the chance and rented it. Turned out I loved seeing Victoria Vixen get her big tits tortured, and they did indeed pull off the electric shock illusion brilliantly. Ironman: Both those Nazi movies are worthwhile. I have highlights from both in my personal collection. You're right that Ilsa is the one that was the big hit and started the whole genre. God, that was a great run while it lasted. Another great one is The Gestapo's Last Orgy, also available under the titles "Last Orgy of the Third Reich" and "Caligula Reincarnated as Hitler" (great title, huh?). That film changed my life back in the mid 1980s when I saw it.

I sure hope you like what you see

Maybe I was just spoiled with "Ilsa" and am unfairly comparing those two movies with that classic. Or maybe I was disappointed because the box art was so promising for those two movies. IMHO, nothing in that genre has even come close to "Ilsa."

Ralphus - allow me to ditto your comments on "Last Orgy of the Third Reich" - I have that on VHS, catch it now and again - I loved the scene where the lead chick is lowered head down into that tank of vermin - on the third viewing I discovered the vermin were a pack of ultra vicious gerbils - safety first I guess.

Now boys and girls, let's get on with a movie review. Today we examine "Criminal Women Report Part 2". This is a Japanese mainstream effort from 1997. Review already written on Part One in our movie review section. Run time is 76 minutes and features the same action hero as part one. I obtained my copy from Video Search of Miami at the above link.

We open with a woman tied to a cross a few feet in the air. Our hero samurai looks on as she is executed by a guard driving a spear into her side. Sam is still regulating conditions at Edo Women's Prison. That night at the prison one of the women gives birth to a badly deformed child - think "Eraserhead".

Sam heads into the Edo red light district where he intervenes in a fight between a customer and what I assume are henchmen for the head pimp in the area. The customer gets his arm chopped off. A girl steps in to avert a confrontation and takes Sam into her restaurant/bar/whore house. Sam takes a shine to one of the geishas and they begin an affair. Some time later while Sam walks through town he sees the henchman hustle away another geisha who they take to their own private jail. Her wrists are tied to her ankles and she's hoisted into the air and beaten with a rod. Sam sees this and walks away in disgust noting it in his journal.

His romance with the chick continues. They are spied upon by the henchmen. Sam's superior chides him for his lax treatment of prisoners. We find out the main pimp has a badly scarred and malformed face. He has a guy tied to a table and in a fit of rage garrotes him with a thin wire.

If I'm following the storyline correctly it would seem Sam is using his position of authority to protect the local geishas from abuse by medieval Japanese pimps. Another girl has been taken by the henchmen for punishment where she is bound wrists behind and hoisted a la strappado. Several times she's hoisted and allowed to thud to the ground.

Malformed is apparently a powerful man and meets with some other equally powerful cutthroats while Sam and his lady continue to be spied on. The henchmen confront them, disarm Sam and work him over.

Back in the pimp's private jail another geisha has been bound with arms outstretched to a pole and ankles secured to uprights. They burn her with a candle. She's then retied on the ground with wrists overhead and dowsed with water. Mal taps one of his geishas while Sam consoles his lady love.

For some reason, the henchmen have Sam's lady and extend her hand on a table while one of them smashes it repeatedly with a kettle. Sam comes to the rescue and patches her up. Once again this action has displeased Sam's superior who tells him to stay out of geisha/pimp disputes. The henchmen go after one of a geishas customers in the street and drive a katana through his hand and haul him off. The geisha is punished, tied AOH to ceiling and cords looped around her waist and severely tightened until she passes out. They dowse her with water and do it again.

Some chit chat with Sam and his lady and Sam having dinner at a restaurant follow. Sam meets another chick at his place where they are confronted by Mal's henchmen. Later, he gets a message, dresses in battle gear and heads out through the wood. His lady is being chased by the henchmen. A fight ensues where Sam kills all six opponents. Now Mal appears in his battle dress and they fight. Just when Mal appears to prevail he suffers a seizure and falls onto a sharp bamboo spike. Sam takes his lady home.

A customer roughs up 2 geishas. It would seem Sam's meddling has left the geishas with no protection. In a similar incident a geisha defends herself and stabs an abusive john. Sam meets with a women in prison. And if I read this one correctly, she is the mother of his lady and she is to be executed. Sam delivers his lady a message and some momentos from mom(?) and she walks off into the darkness. The End

Movie Pluses - As in part one the production values are quite good - nice variety of torture and torment positions.

Movie Minuses - I found part one easy to follow - this one is somewhat disjointed and I'm still not certain exactly what happened. The torture scenes were not quite as intense as part one.

The Verdict - while not too bad, as with most sequels, this one does not measure up to the first. I guess there was a moral in this one but damned if I know what it is.

My Grade - C

The Japanese always came up with unique ways to torture their women. While this one doesn't match the volume and the original (which was like a Greatest Hits album of unique tortures), I think torture fans will probably enjoy this sequel.

Ralphus - yeah, those are inventive techniques in this sequel and by themselves would rate somewhat higher - as a mainstream offer with a plot and timing and other encumbrances I simply found it nearly impossible to follow - as you have seen it how close did I come to accuracy - or did I blow it which would not be a surprise - I'd be interested in how you read that one.

A Canadian - that was my favorite Ilsa scene as well, not that anyone asked - I never understood why, with her wrists and ankles bound with wide leather straps, they felt the need to add some dripping blood in those areas - mandatory in that sort of film I guess - I'll start scripting the remake and perhaps Darkman can help with the shooting.

Ralphus: Great job with "Ilsa."

Okay gang, stand by for a movie review. The film is called "The Inquisition" from B&D Pleasures-Bon Vue (2002), starring Spanky and The Countess.

Our setting is the dread Inquisition, in an aerospace-clean environment. The bondage equipment is nicely polished and looks like it was just delivered from Home Depot. Sir Giles, the grand inquisitor, is dressed like a pirate. He is wearing a bandana and a puffy shirt obviously borrowed from Jerry Seinfeld. Through part of the film, he wears a sword that drags the floor and bangs into everything.

The Countess is a lovely brunette who spends the entire time chained to the wall with her clothes on (GAAAH!) She is never molested. She really is nothing more than a prop (also from Home Depot, I guess).

There is a storyline but it is quite lame "Confess that you are a witch"- (BLAH, BLAH, BLAH.) The acting is pretty bad.

Spanky is a plump redhead, complete with spare tire and a jello butt. The first scene opens with Spanky in the stocks. She is whipped and then moved to the rack for more whipping, waxing and burning with a steel rod. The torture is real, along with the marks on her body. Her reactions are nil, however, because she is obviously a pain-junkie and loving every minute of it.

Next she is tied upright with a square box on her head for a more severe whipping. Then she is dunked and her arms are then pulled behind her for some knife play.

Periodically, he races across the room to the Countess with a sudden knife threat or one dollop of wax (horrors). Now comes the real faux pas. During one of these lunges, she twists to avoid him and reveals A FUCKING 15TH-CENTURY TATTOO! - NO, NO, NO!

Although the flick is shot with three cameras, he always seems to be in the way. I kept trying to push him aside to see what was going on. Now Spanky is strapped in a funky chair that spreads her arms and legs wide. This scene is lit by a bright red light which is supposed to simulate an offscreen brazier. The light washes her body in overexposure and the only time you can see the action is when (you guessed it) he gets in the way of the fucking light!

Our saga concludes with Spanky facing an X-frame for more whipping. Confession is delivered and she is hanged. We see this in shadow (sorry asphyxers, you lose too).

The biggest disaster of all is that the disc was defective and would play only with onscreen text commentary. (GAAAH!) To top it off, the tat was mentioned in the commentary. So they noted the error and didn't bother to cut it out!

I am left with no choice but to give this film a dismal grade of "C-"

Caveat Emptor I always say.

I'm surprised to read that the wax scenes were real. Whenever I have seen a wax scene in a Bon-Vue movie, it has been faked -- color paints inside what's supposed to look like a candle container.

I should have mentioned that I didn't take my "C-" down to a "D" for a couple of reasons. I thought the real burning was way cool and I don't particularly care if the models are not a perfect "10". For me, artistic license is good in many instances but I'm a realist at heart. Real people=real bodies=real girl-next-door fantasy for me. I'm just being honest.

This brings up an interesting subject. I get the distinct impression from the group that looks matter. I understand that in straight porn, good looks are essential. but what about in fetish-based material where sex is not the prime focus? I think might be a good case for study.

Part of the reason we review movies here is to let people know what's good...and what isn't. We haven't had a whole lot of B&D Pleasure/Bon Vue reviews here, and there's probably a good reason. Most of them really aren't that good. Phony dungeons, boring whippings, lady doms (although not in this case), bad acting, models with either fake boobs or tattoos or both...and you have a recipe for mediocrity. I used to watch a lot of them before I discovered ZFX and Japanese bondage, and now I can barely watch my old Bon Vue highlights without fast-forwarding. And those are the highlights, the supposedly "good" stuff I kept from the whole movie. They just don't compare. My tastes have evolved.

In other words, once you've had fine Italian food, SpaghettiOs just don't cut it anymore.

Now, I love a good inquisition theme. Those medieval guys practically invented torture. The rack, burnings with hot pinchers, all that stuff is cool. But I want to believe what I'm seeing is real or it will blow the illusion. And nothing will do that quicker than casting some tattoo freakgirl to play the role of a 15th Century witch. That's about as stupid as that picture someone posted here a while back of the guy in period-piece garb tormenting a medieval maiden, all while flashing the Pittsburgh Steelers logo tattooed on his arm.

I like some of the Inquisition Live movies that feature old-timey tortures, but even they have ruined their stuff before the cameras even started rolling by casting models with obvious tattoos and even a tongue stud. Gimme a break!

There was supposed to be a sequel but for whatever reason it never got released. This is not a ZFX video that gets mentioned a lot, but I think it was one of Rick's best. It's been a while since I watched it or I would try to give a review, just to summarize, she gets tied in extremely harsh positions, leg way behind her head, etc. - the whipping scenes are great, there is a wonderful rack sequence and at the end she is placed in an air tight chamber with the air slowly being let out. (Not to forget a great rape scene while she is on the rack).

This was a video where the action definitely compensated for the heroine being merely a 6 or 7 (merely??) instead of a 10! In her case she makes a great model. I keep hoping Rick is sitting on the sequel and someday it gets released. All in all it is one of my top ten ZFX efforts. Check it out, you won't be disappointed.

Official poll: I'm generally in agreement with my fellow GIMPers. I don't think the woman has to be drop-dead gorgeous (although I won't protest if she is). But she should be reasonably attractive and have the ability to sell her scenes.

As for the GIMP Poll, looks are obviously important, but if the movie is done properly and the acting is halfway decent, I could be satisfied with an actress who's only a 6.5, as long as she has a good body. Falstaff's mention of the "The Worm" is a good example. Amy van Allen and Chandra Sweet are two beauties and my favorite ZFX performers. But my third favorite is Penelope Pace, even though there are hotter actresses used by Rick and I hate fake tits. I agree with DHT. Her performances are what sell me on her scenes, even when she's a dom.

Another important factor is the role. I would rather have a plain-looking woman play an innocent girl-next-door than some glam model with tattoos and a boob job that went out of control. Even if the actress is drop-dead gorgeous, miscasting can ruin what could otherwise be a classic GIMP scene.

Vince poll: For costumes, I also like catsuits, women in uniform like nurses, maid outfits, and super-heroines. But what's in the costumes is more important. They've gotta be at least a 7. And if they're fat, forget about it.

No time to think of something funny or clever to answer the poll - because my brain seems to be more 'narrative' based than 'visual' based, I tend to care more about what the film is about and how well it is acted/written/directed/etc rather than necessarily how hot the girl is. Like many here, I don't like piercings and tatts, not only for how they look, but how they focus me on something other than the action. While piercings make me ill, tatts don't, it's just that I can't look at anything other than it when a chick has one. At absolute best, it doesn't make a woman look any worse (in maybe 0.1% of cases). Every other case, I'm regretting it.

WASHINGTON (AP) - The attorney general's office is seeking to arrest a little person whose website posted a topless photo that is believed to be TV personality Rosie O'Donnell in a bondage setting.

Part 2

A minute after we first get a peek of Amber Van Buren's amazing body, SoCal Val's character is ambushed by the main villain in the room she was left alone in. He handgags her for 10-15 seconds as she struggles then passes out. We then cut into a minute and a half of Amber's amazingly hot body clad in only a set of pink bra and panties. After taking care of her boyfriend in the dark, the villain chokes Amber out and carries her over the shoulder to his hideout. We fade back in, now 4 minutes in, to see SoCal Val's sweaty writhing hot body tied wrists overhead to a pole. She is wearing a white bra and lingerie panties. The villain walks in with amber still over the shoulder, then pulls Val's head up by the hair to taunt her. The villain then drops Amber to her feet, chokes her, and forces her onto a chair in a makeshift cage. The villain then takes a pair of handcuffs to bind Amber's wrists over her head to a horizontal pole inside the cage. The cage is closed, and the villain then goes back to working over Val.

For the next minute, Val is manhandled and choked while the villain delivers more than 15 punches and a few kicks to Val's abdomen. She does a good job writing in pain. The villain then delivers a few blows to Val's face before more blows to her abdomen are unleashed. A couple of headbutts are given also for good measure. The villain then scrapes fingers over Val's bound body as she continues to writhe and scream in pain. 3.5 minutes into Val's torture, the villain goes to taunt Amber, who has been screaming at the villain to stop, by kicking the cage she's bound in. The villain then goes back to taunting and torturing Val, with some more hairpulling, punches, and headbutts, with a crotch punch and more hard finger groping at her abdomen in between for good measure. The villain then begins to choke Val into unconsciousness as amber screams in protest. Val passes out after the choking with her eyes wide open, implying she has suffocated since she hangs limply from the bonds.

The villain then unties Val, which causes her to fall to the floor, unconscious if not dead. He carries her over the shoulder to a table and we get a shot of Amber in the cage, looking very hot handcuffed wrists overhead in her bra and panties as she screams given her friend's fate and the fact that the villain is approaching her cage. Overall, a pretty good 10-minute scene of SoCal Val getting tortured.

Part 3

This part begins with the villain going to Amber's cage, opening it, and taunting her for a bit before un-cuffing her to bring her over to the pole where Val was tortured before. After securing Amber to the pole, the villain rubs Amber's super-hot body head to toe as she screams in agony. We get a brief shot of Val's unconscious body across the room as the villain taunts Amber. The villain's first act of torture on Amber is a headbutt. Then, some body and face punches are mixed into general groping, hairpulling, and taunting. Amber screams in pain and agony. Eventually, the villain delivers a punch to the crotch, which causes Amber to writhe in more pain than usual. After some more groping, the villain kicks Amber in the stomach before more taunting ensues.

A quick cut 5 minutes into Amber's torture now gives us a sweaty version of her body that looks amazing, especially as she writhes in pain when the villain continues to deliver body blows. 2 more minutes of this pass before the villain takes off...HER mask. Amber screams feverishly at this revelation while the villain (Jessicka Havock) licks the side of Amber's face. After a couple of more blows, Amber passes out. This is when it gets kinda weird. Villain Jessicka goes back to unconscious (dead?) Val who is sweatily sprawled out on a table and begins pounding her stomach. Val does not react. The flustered villain goes back to the unconscious Amber and turns her around so that we see her tight, amazing thong-wearing ass. Jessicka delivers a few blows to Amber's back, which Amber does not react to, but I'm fine with that since we still get to see her amazing ass the whole time.

Then Jessicka does something I like: she pulls Amber's head back by the hair while pushing the mid-section of her back the other way with her leg, stretching out Amber's body as she's tied to the pole. Amber is still unconscious and unresponsive. Jessicka then delivers some crotch punches but Amber, now in side view, still dangles in her bonds unresponsive. After a minute or two of Jessicka continuing to work on Amber's back, we cut away to the plotline of the movie, which ends with another "diva" Alexa Lockhart, getting choked by the villain after which we get a "to be continued, 8/21/08" frame. Overall, a decent 11-minute scene of the hot Amber Van Buren getting tortured.

This movie features 2 very hot girls, but for some reason, the variety of torture and the acting has gone down in general. By variety, I mean that the first movie Sayuri Blood Chronicles, had punches, blows with a stick, and the simulated use of a taser by a male villain, while this one is all wrestling moves from a female villain. In terms of acting, SoCal Val does as good a job as she did in Girls of War, but super-hot Amber Van Buren unfortunately does not do as great of a job, mostly I think because she's screaming a lot instead of moaning which I prefer. Sayuri (Meng Lau) from the first movie has done the best acting in these by far.

In summary, I give this movie a solid B. If you have to choose one part, choose either better torture acting with SoCal Val in part 2 or a hotter body with lower caliber acting from Amber Van Buren in part 3. I hope the next movie out in early '08, a sequel to Girls of War with athletic and super-hot Crystal Johnson, improves on this movie.

I wonder if showing such acts on film is a general no-no. I don't intend to copy anyone's style, but I am looking to study how the more daring directors depict such scenes.

There is a movie that didn't show a single drop of blood but still made me cringe. That was "Hard Candy." It's a totally different vibe than serial killer stuff, of course. But I wanted to remark how brilliant that movie was because of the massive tension that was created without showing anything at all. If the Bundy movie could have accomplished that I wouldn't be so pissed.

And as a last question, has anyone seen any of the August Underground movies from www.toetagpictures.com? I know the people who make those flicks. They specialize in the hyper-realistic gore and violence. Just wondering if you consider stuff like that to be too extreme.

As a side note, Ralphus may want to correct one of the sentences in the description of part 3. The sentence has Jessicka delivering a few blows to Jessicka's back -- quite a trick if she could actually do it. The sentence should say the blows are delivered to Amber's back.

A Clockwork Orange - Special Edition: Yesterday, I picked up the two-disc special edition release of A Clockwork Orange. The special edition has a digitally remastered version of the movie (I purchased a regular DVD, although the new version has also been released in high definition) and some documentary features -- two that look at the making of the movie and the controversy it created, and one that profiles actor Malcolm McDowell. There is also an audio commentary by McDowell and historian Nick Redman. Here are some of the more interesting highlights, in my view:

• Some of the still photographs shown in the documentaries confirm that Adrienne Corri -- the actress who plays Mrs. Alexander, the woman raped by Alex and the droogs -- had a very attractive face. More than I would have realized watching the movie.

• As they were getting ready to film the rape scene, Corri went up to McDowell and said, "Well, Malcolm, you're going to find out that I'm a real redhead."

• The movie was made on a low budget. Stanley Kubrick wanted to prove he could shoot a low-budget movie after the cost overruns on 2001: A Space Odyssey.

• McDowell once met Gene Kelly at a party, but Kelly turned his back on McDowell and ignored him. Apparently, Kelly was some pissed with the way "Singin' in the Rain" was used in this movie.

The documentaries are interesting, although the McDowell one didn't add much from the Clockwork Orange perspective. In that documentary, McDowell's comments on other movies, such as Caligula, were more interesting.

Overall, I think the new version is worth a look.

Rosie: Get lost. Haven't you caused enough suffering already?

I love a lot of the AES models. Ken is a hard producer to pin down in a lot of ways, and many times I have been irritated at the way he will cut the scene the instant the model's eyes meet the camera. Basically, If I ever decide to have a custom video made (which will happen the second Eryn Walker comes back) I know for sure that one of the specifications will be LOTS of facial closeups and LOTS of eye contact.

Here's an example. I love Liz Tyler, but she has a tendency to stare right at the camera sometimes while she's doing her emoting. She made a film with Dan Hawke and Dan let her do it, and it just plain did not work. It was like she was posing, like she was fully aware that the camera was there and was performing for it, and it seemed phony. Took me right out of the scene.

On the other hand, I just looked at the rape scene in Ballista 3 again tonight. There's a scene where Rick, as the cameraman, goes handheld and just lets the camera linger over Lisa Kinkaid's bound form, panning up and down her body, even giving us a full-on closeup of her gagged face. And it works beautifully because she never makes eye contact. Rick's a smart director, and apparently, so are Jon Woods, Ken and Lorelei. They know you can show off a girl's distress without breaking one of the cardinal rules of filmmaking. There's always going to be exceptions, but there's a reason why you shouldn't do it.

Bill Zebub: There's a very negative review of August Underground's Mordum by Jefferson James at this link: http://zfxetc.tripod.com/reviews/mainstreamreviews/mordum.htm. There's probably a reason why it was graded so low, because excessive gore and violence in and of itself is not especially entertaining, whereas bondage and distress can be much more dramatic. I saw Hard Candy and I agree it was suspenseful and disturbing, but then, that seems to be the opposite direction of where you seem to going with your own work. If you look at what you did right in Kill the Scream Queen (attractive women in bondage, most of the gore offscreen) versus what you are doing now, you might get a clue as to why your later stuff is so universally panned, at least on this particular forum.

MAV: Thanks for taking the time to review Sons of Seth for us. When I was spellchecking your text to add it to the Reviews section, I got curious and did a search on SoCal Val. She has her own MySpace, and I checked out her pictures. Bitch is cute! I put a still of her in Homepage URL. Apparently, she's an actual lady wrestler. I don't follow wrestling at all, but I do like to see pretty women tied up and beaten. Like our Canadian friend, I prefer to see a man dish it out though, so I would be more likely to gravitate toward her other movie you reviewed, Girls of War.

Getting back to my original questions, I would really appreciate some recommendations of movies based on true crime, specifically serial killers, that actually have graphic depictions.

Maybe I've been spending too much time at horror conventions and listening to horror fans - specifically the gorehounds. The Sativa Verte pics from your new movie are a perfect example. She's gorgeous, but all I see is a woman covered in fake blood. Where's the ropes? Where's the fear? Where's the struggling? Sorry, those are boring. Waste of a good babe.

Like I said, people will buy anything. If you're going to simply pander to the gorehounds to make a quick buck, I say go for it. If you want to make a horror film that actually touches us and makes us identify with the plight of the victim and/or the evil joy of the tormentor, you're going to have to rethink your philosophy. You showed promise in Scream Queen, and whether you want to call them "baby steps into horror", that film (mostly) worked because of the damsels in distress theme, not because of any level of blood you added to spice up their looks.

Bill Zebub - accept some opines from a simple Gimper - I've seen some of your stuff, some okay (Scream Queen), some not so okay - if you want to do a real life serial killer movie I say do it and let the chips fall where they may - if you want to attract a Gimp audience heed the musings of Ralphus - plenty of bondage, torment, suffering and rape. Then if they have to get whacked, so be it but it can easily be done without copious amounts of gore - do a strangler like Harvey Glatman or Jerome Brudos (now that was one disturbed puppy - probably would have been a valued contributor to this forum) - drowning, bagging, hanging, just about anything without covering the babe with syrup until you can barely tell if she's human. Fact is neither Hollywood nor most indies are willing to even try to pull it off. If you can, kudos to you.

A Canadian - thanks for that heads up on the Clockwork Orange thing - Adrienne Corri did some Hammer stuff and drive-in fare in the 60s and I always thought she was extremely attractive - never more so than Clockwork however. Now I need to run with my Droogs down to the Koroba for some milk plus.

I'm mostly into offbeat comedy, especially the kind that offends. Part of that love of pushing buttons makes me approach horror the way that I do - to sort of piss off the conformist film makers and to discover boundaries. Like, in Kill the Scream Queen (which I really am VERY embarrassed about - I had no idea what I was doing), the movie was sort of a defiance against the movie-industry-people who told me that I would NEVER get any actresses to appear in a story like that (by "actresses" I meant girls who actually studied acting). Well, the movie was half scream queen and half actress. But the point was that I made the movie to prove people wrong. I just wish I knew more about composition and directing back then - and I was stupid to cast myself in it. I really hope the sequel "Ravage the Scream Queen" comes out good. I want the sequel to actually stand on its own - you won't have to see the first movie in order to understand it.

As for the Sativa pics, trust me, there are plenty of pics of her and Nikki with ropes - I just didn't get a chance to scan those in yet. But I totally agree with you - gore isn't anything special. I'm a total slaes-whore when I use it. But I do think gore in comedy is cool.

You might recall the scene in Alfred Hitchcock's FRENZY where the lady is strangled in the office. I swear, looking directly into her eyes at the moment of ultimate desperation had a tremendous effect. It blew me away, and obviously the censors too! The scene was cut from most prints of the film. This is good horror and all without a trace of gore. No wonder they call him the master.

I'm glad to see Mr. Zebub taking a real interest in doing the best job possible. Keep at it and one day we may see the adjective "Zebubian" added to the dictionary.

As for August Underground, I saw the first one and that was enough. WAY too bloody for my tastes, even as a horror fan. And I agree that most of the movies based on real-life serial killers fall flat. But I must say that Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer is damn impressive, even though there's not much gore or GIMP scenes. It probably doesn't have the atmosphere you're looking for, but still a great movie.

Whatever you do, I agree 100% with Sloth's advice.

Also, I realized that I posted something contadictory. I wanted to know if there were any serial killer movies with graphic depictions, and then I went off into admiring directors who can make me imagine the actions. Well, I think what I meant was, are there serial killer movies that actually have scenes of the heinous deeds, whether depicted in the gore style or masterfully delivered in a Hitchcock style? It seems that most of those kinds of movies delve too much into the killer's character, not his acts.

As far as offbeat comedy, have any of you eve seen John Waters' "Desperate Living?" That movie was phenomenal! Lots of really bizarre sleaze. It was definitely an early influence on me.

As far as the current writer's strike, that should not be a problem. I know there was another person or two on here that also ordered that dvd and since I haven't heard anything, I'm assuming they haven't received theirs either and it was a couple of weeks ago...

Sloth: Good call including Christopher Wilder among your list of serial killers that need to have their stories made into movies. I've mentioned before that he's my favorite serial killer, because he did it the way I would have done it. He picked out only the cutest victims (he was dubbed "The Beauty Queen Killer"), tied them up, tortured them with electric shock, raped them, hogtied them in his trunk and drove them around like cargo before killing them. Yeah, it's horrible, but I recall reading the story in the newspaper after he got caught and being erotically fascinated by his exploits.

I bought the true crime paperback after it came out, and waited anxiously for the movie. It only took a few years for them to make it into a film, but unfortunately, it was a TV movie called Easy Prey and it was terribly sanitized (torture not shown and only vaguely described), the bondage was weak (hands tied in front...I hate that!), and no nudity, of course.

A few of the victims were cute, though, including Shawnee Smith from the "Saw" films (who was then only 16) as the lead victim, who was forced to help Wilder with his conquests. Overall, it wasn't a bad film. I took quite a few scenes from it onto my highlights tape. But man, just imagine if some enterprising filmmaker could take this story and do it right. Show the nudity. Show the torture. Make it mean and nasty and sadistic, because Wilder was all those things and more. With all the torture porn films being made, this story is prime. Somebody needs to give it a try. As long as it's not Bill Zebub.

As the ultimate insider in the GIMP world, do you have any sense if Rick still plans to release new stuff next year? Perhaps this is something worth pursuing the next time you are exchanging emails with Rick.

I'm still waiting on a couple of my favorite ZFX series, Video Pirates (5 parts) and Mincemeat Pie (2 parts) to hit DVD, and the last 2 Alien Probe films aren't out, either, nor any of the 5 Gangland films. Ditto the last 3 of the 5 Night Prowler volumes. That represents a lot of work, and it's just him doing all of it. It's not like he has a whole staff helping him out.

Meanwhile, what I think is interesting is that he's putting out new catalog titles onto DVD at the pace that he used to put out his new titles on VHS back in the good old days of the 1990s. I think we've gotten about a dozen new ones this year alone. There have been 8 new ones since August, for sure. Unfortunately, there hasn't been a lot of publicity or reviews for these films, but there are some good titles in there.

I would recommend all 3 of the Machine Head series as well as Subject 9: Point of Entry (see link here: http://www.videomayhem.com/products.asp?cat=156. Not having seen them for years, it's hard to be specific, but parts 2 and 3 from Machine Head are both in the Grade B range. Lots of babes in that series, too...Penelope Pace, Lisa Kinkaid, Chandra Sweet, Amy Van Allen, Monica Moore. Worth checking out for sure.

The 4 latest titles that recently got released (link here: http://www.videomayhem.com/products.asp?cat=169 are all minor league ZFX (nothing outstanding, but still better than most of what's out there). Of the 4, the one I liked the most of those was The Hitchiker with Penelope, one of her better showcases, since she's the lone victim in this one.

On this thanksgiving week, let's take a moment to count our blessings - by that I mean a review on a movie like this. Today's offering is a Japanese mainstream indie titled "White Slave Market" - I obtained my copy from Video Mayhem but it seems they no longer carry it. And I am unable to find any other source with a title close to it. Perhaps if a fellow Gimper has seen it he can provide an alternative title. In the meantime I'll keep searching.

A nice looking Japanese chick leads a fairly routine life - work, exercising after hours playing tennis, back home then off to work again. While driving home one night another car cuts her off and out jumps a man dressed as a woman who chloroforms her.

She awakens in a warehouse, part of which doubles as a residence. In her bra and panties, she finds herself sitting on the floor with 4 other newly arrived women, all bound to a concrete pillar. Before them, a crew is putting out place settings on a large dinner table. Seems like they want some diversion from standard dining as there is a young naked woman suspended by her ankles from an overhead pipe.

The proprietor, his henchmen and some potential buyers arrive by car and relax for dinner. The suspended chick is lowered, gets under the table and gives a buyer a blow job during the entree. The girls bound to the column ponder the situation. Under armed guards they are released from the pillar and with wrists still bound behind are taken to showers for a quick wash during which they introduce themselves.

One of the buyers carries a near naked chick into the dining room and rapes her on the floor while other girls who have not been sold have dinner. A guard confronts our damsel in her confinement area, slaps her around and rapes her on a cot. In another area a guard hoists a girl off the floor, AOH and legs spread and lifted. He licks her pussy and ass and diddles her. Overhead water pipes are turned on dowsing them both. He sits and lowers her enough so she can mount him for a rape.

Another potential buyer corners a girl in panties in another area, lashes her with a bull whip, wraps it around her neck and rapes her standing against the wall. The buyer in the dining room is finishing up his rape and this excites the slave market owner. He selects one of the girls having dinner, bends her over the table and does her from behind while the other girls continue eating.

Our new arrivals are now sitting in confinement. The last one is brought in rather the worse for her rape. A guard watches from another room on a security camera. He pages through the dossiers compiled on each woman and begins to take a shine to our main girl. He injects himself with heroin(?)

The new arrivals are taken in panties before a video camera and some more potential buyers. If they don't assume the correct posture they are beaten. When our heroine comes to support another girl Mr. Big wraps his bull whip around her throat and throttles her into submission. They are taken back to confinement.

Mr. Big gets head from one of his prisoners. He lubes the haft of his bull whip and sticks it up her ass. Our new arrivals plead into the security camera for assistance. A guard enters with his shotgun and our main damsel starts to give him a blow job. The other girl throws hot water in his eyes. Movie Pluses - no fogging, all concealment done with angles and objects - the main damsel was excellent with screaming and really selling the scene. Production values high. All in all, no heavy complaints.

Movie Minuses - too light on physical torment for my tastes - and once again, I hate happy endings.

The Verdict - a very pleasurable nights viewing especially for rape fans. For me, just skip the last 15 minute escape scene.

My Grade - solid B

I like the happy ending for "White Slave Market." The do-gooder guard is dead, the heroine is at a loss, the bad guys got away with babes in captivity, and the slave market remains alive for a sequel.

That movie sounds good, which makes it even more frustrating knowing that we'll not likely have a chance to see it. I have a book that translates the Japanese titles into their English counterparts, and there's no mention of that title either there or anywhere else on the net, except an old listing from Video Mayhem's site (from 4 years ago) that briefly described it. I don't know where to find it now, and I'm guessing Larry from VM doesn't either.

Even more sad is that recently, Video Mayhem literally threw out thousands of old VHS master tapes...simply threw them away. They were on VHS and he decided they wouldn't dub well onto DVD, so a treasure trove of Japanese goodies got dumped into some landfill in New York. That's the problem with adult films and the transition to DVD...no one wants VHS anymore, and the thinking with some retailers is that preserving the old stuff isn't important, not with all the new titles being released today on DVD. Even some of the recent Attackers Jyubaku titles can't be ordered anymore...when I added my own review for Attackers #75 (a very good film which I gave a B+), I was shocked to find that no one apparently carries it any longer, at least none of the retailers I checked. I don't know where to find many of the classic Nikkatsu titles, either, and those were only from the 1980s.

There's a lot of talk and effort in this country about preserving our motion picture heritage, but of course, adult films aren't ever mentioned. Thank God for places like Alpha Blue and Something Weird for saving and preserving existing copies of some classic golden age pornos and grindhouse shockers that would be otherwise lost to future generations. And God bless Rick Masters for taking literally years to restore his life's work by reworking them for DVD. These titles may be older, but many of them are great and deserve to be saved.

The new sites, Hardtied and Infernal Restraints are not quite as good as the old Insex. Technically, the new sites are excellent, with very high quality video. And the new sites are starting to more closely resemble Insex, with trips to the farm, and the same cages and other props are starting to re-appear. Riko is still wearing the black vinyl teddy, the fishnet stockings and the boots, and her tits remain exposed. A third villain, the guy who owns the diamond, shows up and takes his shirt off, and starts pouring a bottle of cold water onto Riko's body. The villain yanks off the top part of the vinyl teddy, so that the outfit is wrapped around Riko's waist and Riko's top half is fully exposed. The villain then plays with Riko's nipples, does some serious sucking on her right tit, and spends some time tonguing Riko's right ear, as Riko struggles and squeals.

On the strength of the Shark Special 24 scenes alone, I'm prepared to highly recommend Riko Tachibana Special. Granted, Riko's distinct look may not be to everyone's liking, and there are no torture scenes in this movie (at least, no scenes of Riko being tortured). But the Shark Special 24 scenes of Riko being violated are exceptional. This Christmas, the perfect gift may be some quality time with Riko Tachibana.

In answer to the poll, how hot does the model have to be to make the scene pleasing? Well... she doesn't have to be a Playboy bunny bombshell, but ... the hotter the better!

After about 10 years of writing reviews online, it's still hard for me to decide how to grade some films. I recall I got a bit of criticism when I gave a B- to the ZFX film South of the Border 7 when it came out, despite the fact that some of the footage in the film (okay, basically it was all just the Elaine Payton scenes) were among the very best scenes Rick Masters ever shot, IMO. So does a film with 40 minutes of excellent footage merit a top grade, even when the rest of the film doesn't do much for me? Would the 4 excellent minutes of naked suspension scenes in a mainstream film like A Bell From Hell automatically give the movie a high grade?

I recall that Dan Hawke posted here a long time ago and said if a bondage film had just one scene that did it for him, it was worthwhile, and if it had 2 or 3 like that, he considered it great. If I used that scale, I would probably be giving out higher grades than I do. Maybe we should count the number of scenes or the number of minutes that are good, rather than rating the whole product? What do people think about that idea?

Mothbrad: Thanks for the feedback on the Bondagettes series I just finished posting. Nonetheless, the question posed by Ralphus is an interesting one. Must the grade for a movie reflect the entire package, or can a movie with some strong scenes receive a higher grade based on those scenes alone? I think my review yesterday of Riko Tachibana Special makes for a useful example in this debate.

I went back and checked, and the Shark Special 24 highlights that I enjoyed in Riko Tachibana Special run for more than 46 minutes. And that's 46 minutes that's all action. If you were to separate that section alone, allow at least 10 minutes or so for the plot development that's missing in this highlights package, you would have a film that's nearly the same length as the ZFX movie, Forced Entry. From that perspective, the A- grade that I gave Riko Tachibana Special seems reasonable (Ralphus gave Forced Entry an A-).

On the other hand, 46 minutes of excellent material within a highlights movie package that's three hours and 40 minutes long means there is nearly three hours of stuff that isn't so hot.

So, how do we resolve this?

Clearly, I believed there was enough good stuff in Riko Tachibana Special to justify an A- grade. My view, I suppose, is that anyone who wants to see Riko Tachibana being violated should be strongly encouraged to buy this movie (or to purchase part 1 of Shark Special 24, which is available in the U.S. but not in Canada). Still, I can also see Ralphus's point.

I guess reviewers always have to consider a number of factors: what is the cost of the movie, how does it compare with other films out there, etc.?

It's never an easy call. And I don't necessarily think I'm a soft touch. As I mentioned in a recent post, I wouldn't have given the "TV Reporter" rape film with Maria Ozawa the high grade that Hiccup gave it, even though I agree that Maria is gorgeous. To cite another example, I'm not sure I would have graded Hostel: Part II as highly as Ralphus did.

Decisions, decisions....It will be interesting to hear what others think.

A Canadian: An extended scene with a babe tied down and raped sounds perfectly "A"-OK in my books. I have seen some of the other scenes of Riko Tachibana that you didn't care for, but since I like F/F action, this special sounds like my cup of tea (although there isn't enough bondage in the "Rave" movies.)

As for the reviews, I like the way they're being done on this forum. Everyone has a different style, and I appreciate the variety. I haven't done that many reviews here, but I do try to add a time frame for particularly good GIMP action in mainstream movies, because, yes, one lengthy scene can make a mainstream movie a classic. However, I don't think such information is pertinent in bondage movies. I think the descriptions of what's happening and how well it's done are what viewers want to know for bondage reviews. (Correct me if I'm wrong.)

As for overall grades, the GIMP scenes are obviously the most important, but my grades also reflect how I felt about the entire production, including plot (if applicable), attractiveness of the victims, acting, editing, etc. But the grades are just my personal opinions. If your peculiar tastes aren't shown in the movie, you won't care if it receives an "A" or a "D."

Still, I recall giving Spine an A minus, even though the acting was atrocious, the budget couldn't buy a pack of cigarettes, and some of the scenes were too short. Maybe my grades depend on how much I've had to drink.

As for this post, I give it a solid "D" for babbling on, but that's just my opinion.

The most critical point to consider is that we don't all share the same taste. I may be willing to overlook a film's overall shortcomings if one scene turns my crank. Although I would buy it for that reason, I can't recommend it to others while it holds a 90 percent disappointment factor. The bottom line is, no matter what aspects are considered, the grade is inevitably going to be based on preference, preference, preference.

I would propose a three-pronged category system that would break down as follows:

PRODUCTION - Based on things within the producer's control, such as: length, picture quality, price, etc.
ACTORS - Are they attractive? Can they act? Did they look at the camera? Did they pull off the scenes? Any tats?
CONTENT - Based on storyline or believable setting. Whether the overall scene was uninteresting or exciting. Was there too much gore or not enough, etc.

Each category would receive a letter grade, while the explanation would lie in the actual review as it usually does.

As far as mainstream, I would suggest just rating the gimpworthy portion with, perhaps, a mention of how long the good stuff lasts.

Many moons ago, two guys named Siskel and Ebert simplified things greatly by giving movies a "thumbs up" or a "thumbs down." Trying to decide if a bondage video deserves a B- or a C+ seems like an exercise in hair-splitting.

Interesting that I walk into a discussion on movie reviews. To my twisted thinking the letter grade is purely subjective. What the reviewer thought of the movie as a whole. As it's his review, his likes and dislikes play a role there. The narrative blow by blow description (pun intended) is purely objective,or should be, in its accuracy. Both have their place. Even with a low overall grade a particular description from the narrative can make it worthwhile to someone who desires a look. The same is true in reverse if the overall production is so well done a high grade is merited even though Gimp worthy scenes may be spaced apart. And like Brutus this post is probably worth a D.

After recently posting a review on such a negative note, I would like to do one on a more positive note. What better way to do that than with the work of Rick Masters? I also thought I would help fill in some old ZFX reviews since the DVD reprints are (hopefully) forthcoming.

"NIGHT PROWLER 4" from ZFX - starring Travis Lee as Otis Herald, Candi Licks as Dr. Maxine Winston, and Kelly McKay as the reporter.

As our story opens, Otis has been cured and is now fit to rejoin society. He makes regular visits to Dr. Winston who hooks him up to a virtual reality device as part of his ongoing treatment. Set in a dark, stone wall chamber, Otis works methodically without ever uttering a word. First, the doctor is tied seated on the floor, legs up, AOH, with a hose in her mouth. clamps are applied to her private parts and she's given a good waxing.

Otis then walks over to Kelly who is stretched out on a table. Her feet are spread and secured with her arms stretched by a pulley to form a makeshift rack. A crotch rope is added and tightened. I find very little about this movie that I didn't like. This is one of the rare titles that makes it easy to fill in the blanks the way I want when the scene is lacking enough detailed abuse. There is however, one of my pet peeves - Shoes! It is beyond me why producers insist on putting high heels on a totally naked woman and expecting that they would stay on while struggling for dear life in a dungeon from hell-I HATE THAT!

On the upside, the film has a good run time with minimal footage wasted on story setup. The scenes are lengthy. Best of all...Kelly struggles violently during her entire performance. I could watch her thrash about like that for hours! This movie really does it for me.

MY GRADE: subjective.

As for the movie itself, your write-up has left me with some doubts. I like Candi Licks and Kelly McKay, and Travis is an excellent villain. But I don't know if I could get into the whole "virtual" set-up. Establishing up front that the situations aren't 'real' kind of ruins the illusion for me. I feel the same way about some of the CineMagic films from Japan, where the women fantasize about their bondage situations. Doesn't work for me. I have a feeling I would have some problems with Night Prowler 4.

"NIGHT PROWLER 5" from ZFX. Starring (once again) Travis Lee, Candi Licks, and Kelly McKay.

This installment picks up exactly where the number 4 left off. Otis is in for another session and we see the same players in the same setting. This movie would probably have been more aptly titled "NIGHT PROWLER VOLUME 4B".

We begin with Kelly's ankles secured to the legs of a black metal table. She's bent forward by having her arms raised high behind her back by a pulley. She is not actually on the table but hanging above it. This leaves her large tits to sway back and forth like pendulums as she does her usual continuous struggle. Otis applies a cloth gag and gives her more heavy groping and a hand spanking. She thrashes so wildly it looks like there is a heat source under her tits that sway in constant movement.

We now revisit Candi who is tied spread-eagle against the wall for loads of fun with the vibrator, clothespins, and a sound whipping.

The rest of the film is devoted to Candi as she is once again suspended with a ball gag in her mouth. Her legs are duct-taped together and the vibrator is taped in place. She shines with that oiled look that is so common with ZFX scenes. Now she is worked over with a stun gun. In the last scene, she is tied on a stool with clothespins sprung between her nipples and cunt lips. More stun gun action concludes her ordeal.

Film +'s: I said before that I could watch Kelly struggle for hours and thanks to Rick, I got a few more minutes of it. Overall, both actresses pulled off what I think were convincing scenes. Since I did like PART 4 it was nice to go a step further

On the down side: The length suffers as the higher numbers of the series releases tend to do. Also, the timing is sometimes off in the stun-gun hits. That annoys me. I do wish people would cut or re-take those moments, they're bound to spot them before release. And last but not least-THEY STILL HAVE THOSE DAMNED SHOES ON! JEEZ!

As for a grade: not as good as number 4 but I still liked it okay.

While I agree with your point that grades are subjective, in this case, I don't agree with ending a review by stating "MY GRADE: subjective". That's a cop-out. If it's an A, fine. If it's an F, fine. It's YOUR review, YOUR opinion, and we want to know how YOU would grade the movie. So before I add those two to the Reviews section, help us out and give me a couple grades I can add to the end of your reviews. It crystallizes your feelings into a symbol that everyone can understand and relate to, and almost all our reviewers use it, which is the way I like it.

That said, I also agree with most of what you wrote. To me, Night Prowlers 3, 4 and 5 are just the same movie with different titles. It's Travis tormenting Candi and Kelly, and I get the footage mixed up as to what belongs in which volume. Obviously, Rick shot all this footage in Minnesota at one time, saw that he had an abundance of it, and used it to fill up 3 movies worth. Not that I'm complaining, because nearly all that footage was primo. And the fact that it's supposedly Otis' fantasy doesn't detract from the "realness" of it at all. I would have liked Travis to have been more vocal (a common criticism of his work), but Candi Licks and especially Kelly McKay really sell it as victims. (Talk about the cutest ZFX victims of all time, Kelly would certainly make my Top 5, especially during her long hair period.)

I'm still waiting on DVD releases of the Night Prowler series, but I hope we see the Mincemeat Pie and Video Pirates series first, since those are two of my favorites.

Still, I don't know if Slave Island 12 can live up to the high standards set in the previous film, Slave Island 11. I should probably elaborate on that point. And I will, sometime this weekend....

A Canadian - while we're on the subject, I simply must chime in with my favorite Japanese victim babe - that would be Yuki Haneda - unfortunately, it is only because I find her appearance so pleasing - as an actress she's about a C+, at least in the material I've seen her in. I keep trying to get a copy of Attackers #100 but it seems it's either out of stock, wrong movie listed for that title or something went wrong with the master. She is more in the traditional petite Japanese style with a magnificent rack, not at all like the long limbed Riko. Now, off to VM for some Slave Island orders.

I just want to say that this sounds like a little piece of heaven to me - the Travis/Kelly era is about as good as I've seen from ZFX (especially as it also includes some of the best Lisa material). Of course, I haven't seen anywhere near as much as most people here, but even so, I hope that these DVDs somehow find their way here.

By the way, I have seen Yuka in action. I once purchased the movie Game Over (code: SHKD-249), which she stars in. I recall being lukewarm on the movie. However, if my memory is correct, the problem with Game Over was the over-the-top production values, rather than the acting.

I have never seen volume 2 and was not aware that all three were alike. Would anyone be willing to say that I would enjoy the second installment as much as the others? The Otis fantasy angle doesn't spoil it for me at all. The brief intro could be removed and I would never know the difference.

The "VIDEO PIRATES" series is very popular with me as well. What's the chick's name who was tormented by Rick?

As for the thing with the shoes, I think it might have started back in the Betty Page-Gwendolyn era and just never went away. I like all 5 of the Night Prowler films, although personally, I don't think any of them are what I would necessarily consider great. They're all good films, in the "B" range, with a strong villain, many cute girls and a simple but effective plot: Otis was wronged by these girls and he's taking revenge. While the last 3 are all basically the same elongated movie with the same cast, the first one had our man Travis tormenting a few of ZFX's early "Golden Age" faves, including Alison Parish and big-titted Victoria Vixen.

My personal favorite is Night Prowler 2, with the highlight being Travis taking out his aggressions against nurse Holly Weston, including one of the best bondage rape scenes in ZFX history, IMO. Sloth didn't care for it, but I think Holly Weston was something special, one of the better victims that Rick ever employed.

In the Video Pirates series, Rick and his girl buddy Chandra Sweet make a homemade bondage video tape to get even with the man who was bootlegging Rick's tapes. They abduct and terrorize a chick played by Melisa Pope, who gave a wonderfully natural performance as the unfortunate victim. Melisa also didn't make a lot of appearances for ZFX, but her extended appearances in volumes 2 through 5 made this one of my favorite ZFX series ever. Still waiting for Rick to release those movies on DVD.

Catherine Zeta-Jones-Douglas gets abducted by a psycho who dresses up like a clown and torments her with a poisonous black widow. So shall we get on with a movie review? I think yes. Today's offering is "Abnormal Privacy #13" - I obtained my copy from Video Mayhem but it seems to have been consigned to that landfill. It is available from The Candles Room at the above link. Runtime is 1 hour and the victim is played by Chise Shinomiya.

A young woman awakens in her small abode, gets up and has some drink while she checks the want ads for a job. Dressed in proper business attire she walks to an office and exchanges pleasantries with the dyke receptionist while 2 guys awaiting her arrival laugh with glee. She is escorted to the basement where the goons grab her and hustle her off as she pleads for help from the dyke, obviously to no avail. Another room is equipped with a cell and a low padded bench. She is forced face down on the bench and bound wrists behind, upper body wrapped and cleave gagged. One guy taunts her as the other drops his trousers, rips down her panties and hose and does her from the rear amid muffled protests. He lifts her ass in the air, sits her up and finishes business.

The padded bench has been moved next to the cell and she is bound to the bars with arms spread and still gagged. They begin to divest her of clothing, removing panties first, then her shoes. Movie Pluses - I dug the actress, I dug the premise - innocent young thing simply looking for a job becomes the captive victim. The bondage was well done and there was no wasted effort, one torment to another.

Movie Minuses - would have liked a bit more on the torture end and could have done nicely without the dyke - optically fogged but so be it.

The Verdict - this is the first of the Abnormal Privacy series I have seen - normally, I am very skeptical of Cinemagic releases but I really enjoyed this one - I hope the rest of the series is as well done.

Now I recently saw "The Girl Next Door" I do recommend that one to the forum. But be ready, because it is intense. Very mean spirited. The nudity is from the rear, but there is one full frontal shot. Rape is also included. It may be one of the best mainstream gimp titles of the year. The other children (led by an older mother) are just relentless and it makes it quite horrifying. The male children are just nasty too. They have such adult thoughts. It is hard though since it is based on a true story. I do have issues with that and I know we recently discussed it on the forum. I usually don't have problems with real life stories, but this one did bother me. I would like to see what some other gimpers feel after viewing it.

I also kept the hogtie scene and the part where she's suspended off the ground. Like you said, not much torture in this but the girl was real cute and it was definitely a worthwhile purchase. I fixed the bad link you posted before and added your review to the Reviews section at the link above.

Zimmerman's artwork: I dig it, mainly because he's one of the few artists who draws cartoon and comic book figures (Daphne, Snow White, Wonder Woman, Jessica Rabbit, etc.) in fantasy bondage settings. At least he doesn't overinflate breast sizes in the way that someone like Dementia does (although I like some of his stuff, too). It's his art; he draws women the way he likes them. jyydubs: Absolutely, mainstream GIMP material is worth reporting on here. We have quite a few mainstream films listed in our Reviews section. We've always been about extreme bondage video, and while there's lots of bondage production companies out there, very few actually produce bondage mixed with torture or sexual violence, which is why we have to venture into mainstream sources for our GIMP thrills. Another good thing is that a lot of these titles don't have to be purchased, but can be rented for a few bucks at your local video store, which makes them even more accessible to our readers.

Not-Exactly-A-Poll: My last review did not have a letter grade until Ralphus insisted that I give it one. (Beware of small men with ball peen hammers and hedge clippers.) I understand the principle of "If so-and-so likes it, I'll like (hate) it. Some of the scenes I like I found because a reviewer said it was an awful movie only made worse by a graphic rape scene. I am not sure, however, that knowing what the reviewer likes applies as well in my case.

I collect rape and attempted rape scenes no matter how lame they might be. It is hard for even me to understand what it is about a particular scene that makes it appeal or not appeal to me. It isn't as simple as: Is she hot? Are her breasts shown? Is she gagged? Is she choked? Is fire a factor? and a lot of the other criteria others here seem to have. A scene that tweeks me during one viewing might bore me during another, and vice versa. I will put letter grades on my reviews to please the short 'froed one, but don't read too much into them. If in doubt, ask and I'll try to sort out whether you will like a scene or not.

Does it bother me if a movie is portraying real events. I can't say that I've seen many with Gimp worthy scenes that are supposed to be of real events. Usually movies of that ilk aren't filmed in a way to provide you with may titillating views of the action. If I came across one that did, I don't think it would stop me from thinking it's hot, after all, it really is only actors, not the real people.

How hot does a model have to be for a GIMP scene to be enjoyable? She needs to be nude, and needs to be HOT!!! I can be forgiving on the face, butter face's welcome, but if the body isn't doing it, I just can't get into it.

Finally We have a new "Progressive" Government in Australia, after 11 years of 1950's style Conservatism,...
