BTW, Ralphus - it's not really accurate to call the film that cap is from "Attackers #92" - it's Jyubaku #92 (note the "jbd" in the filename). There is also "rbd" (Ryubaku) and "shk" (Shark), as well as "atk" (which, if anything, is the proper "attackers" namesake) "atd", and "sspd". All these come from the Attackers company, and each caters to something a little different. I didn't have a projector to play them, but when House of Milan finally put out the Bondage Classics series on VHS, I bought my first actual bondage videos and I was hooked.

I checked; I also tend to get the Video Pirates and the Night Prowler series mixed up, since they are all shot at the same time and the Kelly and Candi Licks footage got featured in about 8 or 9 different movies. HOM Bondage Classics 6, which I paid $69.99 for a VHS tape 20 years ago, and can now be purchased for $19.99 on DVD today. How times have changed...

The first real GIMP material I bought, in the late 70s, was one of the Bondage House books called, "Tied and Whipped Sister," by Val Marrick. I still have it because it is one of the few of that series where the girl almost never enjoys the awful things that are done to her.

I think my first true bondage magazine purchase was one of the Lyndon Distributors magazines, probably "Restraint." Though I liked the bondage in Lyndon and HOM, I remember often being frustrated to find -- when I finally got home and got the shrink wrap off -- that not one girl in the magazine was photographed so that I could get a good look at her asshole (which is where I have finished off my fantasies, for some reason, since I was 13). Through the late 80's and into the 90s the magazines became more revealing in that way and I have kept the best of the best from those days. Of course most of them were only vaguely non-consensual and included no sexual activity.

One thing I loved in the Lyndon titles were the surveys -- predecessors of the GIMP polls. I sent a lot of them in expressing my particular pervy desires. And the occasional titles with the letters columns in "Bondage World" or one of the others were also a favorite for me. Some of my letters were published and it was absurdly thrilling to see my words in print in a bondage mag.

As far as videos, the early ones I can remember seeing, in the booths, or buying, were not very satisfying. I remember an early Rick Masters video (can't remember the title) in which he abducted a girl, bound her, whipped her a little, while making calls about her ransom. The whipping was quite lame, and in the whole scene the thing he did that got the most reaction from the little cutie was when he placed his ice cold drinking glass between her legs.

Let's see; I was 22 visiting the US for the first time (Ft Lauderdale ~ ‘88) and I saw an Adult bookstore. When I went in it was like Aladdin's cave – at least compared to the ones I seen in the UK. Toys, and clothes, and magazines, and movies, and booths. I went back and checked out the dozen or so booths each with half a dozen movies each and there was this stuff I’d never seen before – women tied up. WTF, like how's that sex?

So I went in one of the booths and watched the channel with the bondage movie and it blew my mind! I’m not sure which one of the HOM loops it was, but OMG!! What caught my attention was that the “victim” appeared to eventually enjoy their situation, especially the crotch ropes! The loops that start with a reluctant or nonconsensual “victim” who at some point becomes aroused by her ordeal have always been my favorite combination, and HOM has provided many of this plot type (“Caught!”, “Hard Hat Trouble”, “High Strung”, “Curiosity Excited The Kat”, “Sweet Nightmares”, etc).

To this day Sharon Montgomery has been my favorite, and the other HOM girls of the mid-80’s have added to my enjoyment. I went back every day of my vacation and watched a different loop, I also bought HOM magazines and “read” them while I was back in the booth, an activity the store manager didn't appreciate. Since moving to the US in the early 90’s I have acquired all of the Bondage Classic series on both VHS and DVD. “Sign” being one of my favorites. I suspect that somewhere in my subconscious the availability of Bondage material in the US as compared to the UK played a significant part in my decision to move here. My wife thinks they're OK so long as they remain fuel for fantasy; she's vanilla – not even French vanilla.

After my visit to the US I found an Adult magazine store tucked away in the backstreets of London that sold UK versions of the HOM magazines. They're different fro the US versions in that only the cover and center pages are printed in color. Unfortunately my rather “proper” English mother discovered my collection one day during a visit and promptly destroyed and disposed of them before I got in from work!

As you can tell this did not deter me, and I enjoy this genre to this day.

The loop in question can actually be found on Alpha Blue Archives DVD Tit Torture Enforcers (it's chapter 8 "Tied and Attacked") and while we're discussing this DVD I find it worth mentioning that it also contains a Whitman loop which "belongs" to the Erotic Perversion series but isn't included in any of EP 1-3 or Violence 1-3 compilations.

It's called A Tease is Punished on the DVD, don't know if that is it's original name as there's also a couple of more known EP loops on the DVD that has been renamed.

In college, I came across the magazine stash of one of the building maintenance supervisors. They were all "vanilla" but one mag had an article (with a great illustration) talking about how mainstream BDSM was becoming.

The article was really well written, starting off with a cheesy description of a couple of good-looking teens in a car on lover's lane that sounded like it came right from the 1950's. I think it started off "It was a moonlit night," she was described as a cheerleader, and he the high school football quarterback, or something like that, so you see how corny and cliched it was.

But after loving descriptions of her trembling and his fumbling and all of that, it became clear that she was in the backseat of his car with her hands tied behind her, blindfolded, and (I still remember, as the article said pretty much exactly) his cock "slicing deeply in and out of her throat while she lay there helplessly."

Again, the article then went on into a non-fiction explanation of the growing incidence of BDSM in relationships and its acceptance in media. But it was that beginning story which got to me, because (a) the illustration was hot, (b) it was really, really well written (or at least I thought so at the time), and (c) it placed BDSM into a context of complete cliche and normalcy, in an archetypal story that we can all relate to that would otherwise get any of us off even without it.

You had to be there, I guess, but that one stuck with me.

Graham, just note that those HOM Classics are not quite the same as the ones you saw in the booths. They've been notably edited (you can often see a short partial fade-in to the missing scenes before the cut is done.) Some weeks ago, I mentioned having seen some of Steve's older work and not being very impressed. But in all fairness, I thought I'd order a more recent release hoping to find improvement. And boy....did I!

The dvd I ordered is PZV 101 - 3 Bondage Virgins. (95 min). It starts mid-story (at least: we have no clue how the girl got where she's at or why...for all we know we join a harmless bondage photo shoot) with Lexus Lane standing, ankles cuffed, hands cuffed behind her back. During the first 45 minutes we see Lexus getting fondled, spanked into asking "fuck me", handgagged, gagged with a yellow ballgag, oiled up, cropped and (duh!!) undressed.

Most of us have seen some picks of Lexus (if not: check Steve's site!!!) and I think we all can agree she's cute, she's hot! But...that's all. Unfortunately, she's not much of an actress. Excellent model for a photo shoot, but NOT for a movie! But there's more to this: IMHO the director is as much (if not more) to blame in these cases as the actress is. Lexus proves that she CAN act near the end of the first 45 min, when she's on hands and knees on a table and gets spanked. Her reactions in that scene are very realistic, very believable. But when she's not directed well, all she does is posing as if it were a photo shoot and not a movie. A good point is that she's very aware of the camera, and several times looks straight at the viewer....VERY sexy!

A few words on the editing: scenes often start as suddenly as they end. Example: We see Lexus standing up, hands tied over her head, getting oiled up and not a second later, she's kneeling on the ground and there's another actress (Ally) standing where Lexus stood. No fade out, no fade in, no entering of this new victim......Zazam!!! There she (Ally) stands. All within the blink of an eye. Compared to Ally, btw, Lexus stands out as an excellent actress. I wonder if Ally was even awake during this shoot.

And then....just when I was afraid I wouldn't be able to keep my eyes open, it happened: As abrupt as it started, the story with Lexus ends. And we see a new girl, Heather, walk down the street, entering a warehouse. Heather's a real looker but (as we've learned from Lexus and Ally) sometimes that's not enough. Heather enters a warehouse where (of course) she's attacked by a hooded fellow, who tries to overpower her. But boy...does this girl know how to put up a fight. She gives the hooded fellow, let's call him Steve a good run for his money, being very vocal and struggling for all she's worth. All very realistic, Very believable, VERY good, VERY, VERY hot!! She doesn't really have a chance to escape, but it takes the help from another hooded fellow (with a very colorful shirt) to finally get her under control. And even then she doesn't give up struggling and protesting, but we see her slowly losing the fight. It ends with one of the hottest suspensions I''ve seen in a loooong while, with her legs spread further apart than I thought possible. Steve....maybe you can provide Ralphus with a pic of this scene??? HIGHLY recommended! 2 grades: the first half of PZV101 doesn't grade higher than a D-minus, but the second half, starring Heather gets an A++++. In other words: in spite of a bad start, the best $40 I've spent this month!

Question for Steve: Which other dvds can you recommend with scenes like the ones with Heather? Cause I'm buyin'!!!!!!!!

On Natasha's query, I was introduced to GIMP stuff in real life long before any exposure to magazines or movies. That was courtesy of Dr. Alex Comfort, The Joy of Sex, and a girl friend who, by her own account, was essentially born knowing that she wanted to be tied up and spanked -- and shared reading of Pauline Reage's novel. About fourteen years later, I was buying HOM's Bondage Classics magazines, and still getting that pleasurable feeling (and more) in my crotch.

Just shot a hardcore custom with Lexus Lane yesterday and today. She's 7 months pregnant but in many of the scenes she doesn't look pregnant...just incredibly buxom...then in other scenes she is made to appear pregnant and I'm thinking that if you are into pregnant bondage...which I know many here are not....you'll find the thing of historical significance. I'm hoping there will be some nuggets of good stuff in it. We shot a chloroform, a two guy outdoor abduction, and two slave training scenes that have no abductions but included sex and dildo. The shoot was entirely customer funded so was shot according to specifications. Lexus's tattoos are a drawback but that body is unreal. She's the mudflap gal on trucks.

We don't shoot retakes and the degree of domination and or violent abduction is very much dependent on the models reactions to it and the mood of the day. Some of these gals can't handle a hand over their mouth....some like it. If the shoot footage totally sucks....it won't go on dvd. You'll find it scattered here and there as a download or not at all. There's a ton of great chlorform and abduction scenes that had to be pulled from the site at various times during billing crisis that never got put back up because there isn't time. Some of the stuffs so lousy it never got used....but I'm sure there are people that would love it.

Pezzo, everyone is entitled to their opinions, but I disagree with you. I have seen several Powershotz flix. Like virtually ALL porn, they had great moments and poorer moments. A lot of that isn't attributable to the director but to the vagaries of film work. Oftentimes you don't know how a shot went until way later in the process. Sure, a director and performers with unlimited time and money could keep re-shooting and re-shooting until they finally get every scene to a remarkable state, but no one has those kinds of resources, especially the directors who post on this board.

Steve, I for one have found every single one of the five or so Powershotz flix I have seen to have enough compelling moments to make each worthwhile. Thanks for what you do.

In later years, I recall a few GIMP-related moments, such as seeing small newspaper ads for Ilsa: She-Wolf of the S.S., which was playing at a local porno theatre. However, I was too young to see it (no big issue -- in my area, you could bet the movie was probably butchered by censors to the point of being unrecognizable).

And, as I mentioned in a previous post, there was that great National Lampoon cover with the blonde actress tied up and gagged on a movie set (July 1981 issue). However, bondage magazines and movies weren't available in my area and weren't a real part of my youth.

I didn't see my first hardcore bondage scenes until the fall of 1992, when I visited New York (sorry, Bobjones) with some friends. We checked out some of the porn shops, and were watching various clips in one of the stores that had the booths and a wide selection of movies (vanilla and bondage). I particularly remember one scene where a woman was tightly bound in a doggie position, and received a spanking from a male villain.

About a year later, while visiting Chicago, I picked up a video tape of a bondage movie made by Kristine Imboch. I no longer own it, but I did keep it for some time, and I recall thinking some scenes were quite good. A particular standout was a scene where a woman was suspended upsidedown, with her feet tied to a crossbar, and another woman used a vibrator on the bound woman's pussy. The victim really thrust herself back and forth, and I thought it was quite an impressive scene.

In my homeland, bondage movies weren't an option. Vanilla porn was still being censored until the mid-1990s, and bondage movies didn't become regularly available until our society shifted from VHS to DVD. For reasons that will never be clear to me, video stores in Toronto that never stocked bondage movies on VHS were OK shelving some bondage DVDs. In the early days, the pickings were slim (still are in most cases), and I couldn't be too fussy. I liked pretty much anything where a woman was suspended -- preferably upsidedown -- and whipped.

At one point, I got into some of the Bon-Vue movies, and while many have their flaws, there are some titles I would still recommend. Some of the titles I liked included the Captured Cop Trilogy and the movie Knifepoint 2, with Kelli Thomas.

I think it was in 2004 that I came across a movie about women being tortured in Mexico. That little film, called South of the Border 5, introduced me to the one and only Lisa Kinkaid -- and in a later google search to determine if Lisa had her own website, I stumbled across an online forum made up of all types of degenerates, and I have remained a part of that forum ever since.

I should note that in 2005, one of our regular contributors, ZFX Forever, mentioned that one of the online sites that sells Japanese movies, saveonav.com, is based in Canada. The PowerShotz site has a lot of variety, and most of it does not appeal to me at all, and I'm sure that's true for most other people. But they produce a lot of content, and enough previews to allow you to know pretty much what you will be buying. I think that's all you can reasonably ask for.

• Japanese movies: Today, I picked up an inexpensive new copy of the Japanese HIBINO film, Insulted Raped Female Avenger (HAVD-016), starring Ayana Nanjou. I have seen this film before, and have a review of it in the archives, but here's the interesting part -- it was an original DVD disc, rather than a pirated copy. This is the first time I have ever found an original Japanese movie in Canada. I don't know if this means anything over the longer term, but it's certainly an interesting development.

In case anyone is interested I put up Punished #8 on the barrix last week. It is also available on the Barrix Clips4sale store in the whole dvd on 5 different clips. I remember 15 years ago there was this ad for a clothing store that also had an implied rape image. I don't watch anyone else's bondage content, so I can't say what everyone else is doing, including Steve. Steve is still in business, so I trust he is doing something right!

I always personally thought we lowered ourselves ("we" being Isaac and me) when we made the bondage sex movies because (1) they were compilations, often without any plots and (2) they were shot with a tripod initially. But people liked them, so we kept making them, although we tried to improve upon them by hiring a cameraman and putting a lot of vignettes into the mix, instead just one sex scene after the other with no context at all.

Luckily, we've continued to make fully plotted movies (albeit we are pretty slow in releasing them) and add one sex scene to each of them. (It's too hard to add any more than that!)

I do think it is important to create quality content as much as possible or else you run the risk of people buying once and never coming back again.

I agree theft is a huge problem. At least with video, you can encode it now so it can't be traded or shared. Mostly, though, I think technology is such that everyone wants bigger and better, which puts pressure on the producer to put out content. We have to work a lot harder to make the same money because people want more, more, more because their computers can handle it now. But that's life. You have to keep up with technology or you'll go under. But we still stress to potential customers to consider our quality and not just quantity, such as sites promising 100,000 photos.

For the guy who thought most sites seem to cater to one or a couple fetishes, that's true, but it's mostly intentional. When you try to please everyone, you please no one. I think it's better to pick a niche and stick to it. I don't mean the same EXACT scene over and over again, but within any particular niche, there is going to be repetition. Obviously, some people like more variety, so I guess they just buy more stuff.

As for the Glenn Marcus case, good news that they acquitted him on the obscenity charges. One of the hottest electrocutions I've seen is in Fatal Pulse. Girl gets her top torn off and used as a gag. The Killer zaps her 2 or 3 times at lower intensity, just enough for the sweat to start glistening her body. Than he ups the ampage/wattage/voltage/whateverage and kills her, her body jerking for quite a while before the scene cuts off. Very hot!

I know it exists because I've seen the stills and there's mention of it when I did a Google search but nothing as far as where it can be bought or seen.

It appears to be a Scandinavian film most likely from the '70s or early '80s based on how furry the girl or "Dolly" in peril looks. It appears to be one of those rape movies I've seen advertised on other sites. A girl sitting by the highway waiting for a ride, two men stop, chase her down, catch her, bring her somewhere, strip her naked and have their way with her. Not unlike a dozen or so other rape flicks that are for sale usually from foreign countries at various internet porn sites around the web.

But I don't see this one listed. At least, not under that name. I as hoping someone here might have a lead I could explore is all.

Another ZFX shock scene I enjoyed was Penelope Pace tied to a chair and getting the stun gun treatment by Joseph Marx and Lisa Kinkaid taking turns in Viral Load. I love the ZFX movies when Lisa and Penelope are together.

jhlipton: That scene from Fatal Pulse was one of my all-time favorites in a mainstream movie. The actress, Skylar Nicholas, was simply gorgeous. What really sold the scene for me is when she pleads with the killer, "Why are you doing this?" and then the gag comes in to show he doesn't care what she says, and basically, she's screwed. There was another short (and less-worthy) GIMP scene in that movie where Christie Mucciante gets tied down and smothered in plaster. No gag though.

On another note... got a copy of the new uncut Don't Answer the Phone. It's a much better print than the old VHS with much more detail visible (e.g., you can now see that Paula Warner's gown has a pattern on it... if you're not distracted by the fact that you can now see her nipples constantly poking through (before it gets ripped off her, that is)).One thing I was disappointed in... the widescreen doesn't make a difference in what you get to see onscreen much (e.g., you don't get to see Paula's breasts in the last shot where she's screaming) as we had perhaps hoped. But for a few bucks it's a good buy.

Now if they'll just put Eyes of A Stranger on DVD... that was the first GIMP-ish thing I saw and as has been discussed here, first impressions are lasting impressions... the rape scene with the blonde where she gets slapped several times will be one of my forever favorites.

In this second one, the woman is still lying on the floor. The guy who is over her is on bended knee but he's not holding her down. Also, he and all of the other male models are dressed in business suits.

In addition, (And I'm not saying this to be funny, but factual) like Mike says, the female model does look even more like a mannequin. I had to give it a second or third look just be sure that was a real human being.

That was one of the first scenes I ever collected, and I remember watching it with my then live-in girlfriend, who was also into bondage and wanted me to share my private collection of scenes with her, an idea that I was initially against, but I eventually gave in. And she was liking everything on that tape until it came to that scene. I remember her saying, "Oh God, how can you like that scene? That was horrible!"

Apparently she liked bondage but couldn't fathom the idea that I could get turned on with seeing a woman sadistically tortured and ultimately killed. She was trying to make me feel guilty, and the situation was a little awkward, to be sure. I was younger then, and maybe not as self assured as I am now. If that were to happen today, things would be different. I no longer feel guilty or feel I have to apologize for watching something I like, just because it's harder than something that even most bondage fans feel comfortable with. The fact that the scene is still fondly remembered is proof that there are several others out there that liked it, too.

Besides that, the scene still holds up today and I can watch and enjoy it whenever I like. The girlfriend is long gone :)

The movie is sadly not yet available on DVD, not real surprising since it was a low budget straight-to-video 80s horror flick with a no-name cast. But it would definitely sell if they were give it new life on DVD, if only to the sick fucks and pervos out there that want to see that girl get tortured again in a sharper new print. Bring it on!

Looking forward to Punished 8 review. Whitman shorter vids are still my favorite. His longer talkies, not so much.

The acting is pretty good (the girls sell the death scenes) and the death scenes are longer than many mainstream movies.

Amazon  has it for under $30.  It's definitely worth that if you like mainstream snuff.

I was especially disappointed in Bondage Classics since it's from the notorious HOM. With the exception of one vignette where a dude actually takes advantage of a tied victim on a bed, the rest are simply tie 'em up scenes set to music - no sound, no screams, no fun - reminds me of those bondage mags I was exposed to as a youth. I was hoping for some torture but I guess I should have paid attention to the title.

Just my two cents but to me the worst of ZFX is way better than any of these "classics" - and having learned my lesson, rather cheaply I might add thanks to CD Universe I can focus on the present.

And Ralphus - Thanks for what you do and I agree 100% with your choice of SOB6 - Elaine Payne is magnificent in that scene - my all time fav!

BTW, 25 bucks seems like a high price to pay for a used VHS videotape, since most used tapes of this kind go for around 2 to 3 bucks. Could it be the bondage/torture factor that has driven the price up?

I gave ratings/grades to the BCs I've seen, in the june 2003 archives. I'd probably make some slight changes to those ratings if I did them again (probably should've rated each individual loop along with the collective grade). Note however that I rated the VHS versions I have, and don't know if the DVDs are somehow different.

I haven't watched them in quite a while. Maybe I should before the tape gets too old!

The Tanya Roberts scene in Tourist Trap sounds interesting. Is it any good?

Oh yeah, great scene, although Tanya Roberts wasn't the victim in that one (although she is tied up and has to watch while it happens). An actress named Dawn Jeffory is tied down to a table and the bad guy fastens down her head and chin with a leather strap that he nails to the table. Then he slowly begins to cover her face with wet plaster, all the while giving a running commentary about what's going to happen to her as the plaster hardens. It's one of those times where the dialogue and the performances definitely enhance the overall excitement of the scene.

It doesn't hurt that the production values are so amazing, nor does it hurt that it is a reasonably suspenseful, well-made film, nor does it hurt that the cast was hot as all fuck. It also does not hurt that the movie was pre-silicone and pre mandatory-shaved-pussy. I've got nothing against shaved pussies mind you, but it kind of breaks the illusion of a filmed rape scene when you can see that the actress spent the night before the shoot getting her business groomed for the camera.

The people who dole out ratings at the Motion Picture Assn. of America just might flip out when they see "Grindhouse," Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez's tribute to the ultraviolent, nudity-drenched pictures that once screened 'round the clock in the grungy movie palaces of 42nd Street.

The Weinstein Company, which is releasing the picture April 6 through its Dimension Films arm, needs an R rating for the flick to get into mainstream theaters. But, "some of it is so graphic and outrageous for a major Hollywood studio, there's no question it's headed for an NC-17 without big cuts," says a Page Six operative, who got a sneak peek at the most over-the-top footage.

"Grindhouse" is actually two short movies - one directed by Tarantino, the other by Rodriguez - with an intermission between them. During the break, a series of fake trailers will be shown for such fictitious titles as "Werewolf Women of the SS," directed by Rob Zombie.

"In one scene, a cute, topless girl is roughly tied down on a table by evil female Nazi experimenters who begin draining her blood and, as she screams in agony, they brand her like livestock with a coal-hot steel swastika," our source said. "And every girl in the Nazi concentration camp is topless."

Another trailer, directed by Eli Roth, of "Hostel" fame, is called "Thanksgiving," in which a town's celebration of Turkey Day is interrupted by a mad slasher.

"There's a part where Jordan Ladd [daughter of Cheryl Ladd of 'Charlie's Angels'] is in a car with her boyfriend and giving him [oral sex] when she lovingly reaches to stroke his hair and discovers his neck is just a bloody stump - some maniac had just cut off his head while she was in the act."

Again, I'm not complaining about your generous gift, but we need to take a stand against video piracy here, even if the rest of cyberspace seems to think everything is there for the taking and we shouldn't have to pay for any of it. A Canadian: This current problem with Dreambook is just the latest of the many problems we've had with Dreambook over the years. This has been going on for a few weeks now. Fortunately, the posts aren't disappearing; they're just getting "stuck" in there and need others behind them to push them out, just like what you speculated about in your second post. It doesn't happen all the time, and Dreambook has been notified, but they're giving me the usual "We'll look into it" line of bullshit that I'm all too used to. I'll write them again and eagerly look forward to getting yet another automated reply. I guess you get what you pay for when you're dealing with a free host.

Now to the fun stuff: The Tarantino film looks like it's going to be very cool. It's too bad the scene with the topless chick tied down to the table is only going to be in one of the short trailers and not in the actual feature. And it sounds like the MPAA is going to butt in and censor the good stuff. This is one I was considering checking out in the theaters but I might wait for DVD instead, since it may warrant an unrated special edition release that will hopefully restore the footage they are going to have to chop out.

Censorship sucks, and that's exactly what the MPAA does when they threaten producers with an NC-17 rating instead of the desired R rating they are going for. Finally, I can't decide if A Dirty Western is worth ordering. It's a weightier decision in my area, as the movie is much more expensive. The descriptions of the film sound fine, but I am curious -- are the rape scenes particularly convincing and/or erotic?

I have to admit that I know very little about House of Gord other than a few pictures I've seen on the net. They seem to incorporate weird machines and devices in the pics I've seen, like using women as furniture. What did they do to the girls that was so special? To compare them favorably to Cinemagic and Attackers is a pretty bold statement. Is there much bondage and torture?

A Canadian: I was lucky enough to rent A Dirty Western back in the 1980s when it was originally out on videotape (who knows what the print looks like today?). It was the first actual adult video I put on my on my highlights tape. I kept two scenes: one where Barbara Bourbon gets a gun pointed at her head and gets raped on a table by an escaped convict. Good rape scene, even if there's no bondage.

The second scene I kept was of her getting her hands and feet tied and suspended off the ground. To me, this was more exciting, even if it's obvious they faked the actual suspension in most of the shots (she's clearly standing on something rather than actually hanging by her wrists). There are a couple of shots near the end of the scene where she's really hanging off the ground, though, and watching her twirl around suspended was a turn-on for me. That's the only actual bondage I remember in the film.

In answer to Brutus, yes I was an engineer. I was originally an AMI=Mech E (electrical engineer) then a I retrained in hydraulics and hydrologics, later I retrained in mechanical engineering, and finally did training in civil engineering as was required for my position as chief engineer at various places.

As I'm almost done with spring chores how about a little movie review - in this case those zany Japanese are at it again with an effort entitled "Criminal Women Report". This is a period piece set in feudal Japan circa 1600-1700. It consists of 3 vignettes all tied together within the plot. There are quite a few flashbacks through the movie. It is directed by Masaru Taushima, stars Yoshizumi Iahihara and Kanori Kadomatsu and is a mainstream film. I obtained my copy from Video Mayhem but they seem to no longer carry the title.

A young heroic samurai type is apparently on assignment at a woman's prison. A fire alarm sounds and our hero runs to the scene where officials are bringing out a bound chick. He obviously knew her from earlier times. She is led away and he marks down events in his journal. She is bound, topless and has water splashed on her and this is only the prologue. She has been brought before a magistrate on her knees and is led away. Placed in a large cell with numerous female inmates who strip her and force her to be submissive to the honcho bitch in the cell by caning her ass. Movie Pluses - the actresses were very convincing, the torture and execution scenes well staged. For a mainstream film I thought it delivered pretty well on Gimp moments. And it was easy to follow even tho I speak no Japanese.

Movie Minuses - Gimp scenes were a little short for my tastes and as mainstream there was too much chatting.

The Verdict - I found this very enjoyable viewing - at least the Japanese know how to do a mainstream Gimp worthy flick - solid B

It's a masterpiece of pop expressionism, it has got a super foxy leading lady and (here's the rub, eh) it's got rape, torture, catfighting, lesbianism, and showers scenes (with a fight during one of the shower scenes).

I would also check out "Zero Woman: Red Handcuffs" (don't confuse this with the more recent "Zero woman" films, this one is from the seventies). Its a cool, nasty action film, with some nasty, nasty raping.

The prize for best WIP in more recent Japanese would have to go to "Full Metal Yakuza." It's an oddball parody of Robocop crossed with a serious action film, and at the climax of the movie, a bunch of Yakuza rape the living shit out of the hero's girlfriend. You see shots of her in elaborate Japanese bondage as one gangster makes phone calls to the others, and in a later scene there's a big ole gang bang. The scene ends in a nasty, yet hilarious way (necrophilia is involved), but it still ranks as one of the more exciting things I've ever seen that wasn't directed by Rick Masters. When it comes to being perverted and creative, the Japanese have no competition. Shit, they invented Hentai.

I know that many here like the Japanese videos from Attackers. But do you know that there are 1 minute trailers of virtually all their videos for download at their site? You need to make them send you a password for it, which is tricky to find out since the site is in Japanese. I managed to make it work, here is how to do it:

1. Go to the Attackers site (www.attackers.net) and look up any video. On the page for the video, you will see a pink area right under the video description and right above the preview picture thumbnails.

2. Click on the second link in this pink box. This will bring you to the sign up page for their newsletter. Fill in your e-mail address in the first box and again in the second box to confirm it. Click the button under the boxes. (BTW, the third and fourth boxes appear to be for retrieving lost passwords. The fifth box is to unsubscribe your e-mail address, which might come in handy sometime)

3. Attackers will instantly send you an e-mail with a username and password. The e-mail is in Japanese, but you can easily make out the user and password in it, they are written in Western characters. The user is a few characters long and the password is a string of numbers.

4. Go to the video page of any video you want to download a trailer of. In the pink box (the same where we found the link to the sign-up page) you will find a red button to download the trailer. Click it, enter the user and password.

From what I understand, the password is valid for a month and then replaced with a new one in the newsletter you just signed up for. Let's see, I just signed up yesterday!

Ralphus : The Heather stories, very cool, very well done. She's quite a writer.

Breath Play : The closest I've come is having women tied to the ceiling by a collar with their arms behind their back, when the legs spread it gets snug but otherwise no big deal.

Hiding Porn : I have before, but with DVD's a significant collection takes up so little space that its hardly necessary.

Black Women in bondage : Not my preference, I like my toys to pink up when I whip, slap, crop, etc... and you need pale skin to do that really well.

Nose hooks : No interest, take a pretty face and make it look like a pig. I understand its humiliating but I just have no interest.

I heard he was sick so I figured I give him the benefit of the doubt. I ordered again during his "close out", its now been over a month, no videos, no response to emails. Looks like my previous experience was the rule, not the exception.

First exposure : Not really sure. My first exposure to naked women was probably old Playboys. I don't know when my first exposure to real bondage occurred but I do recall always being particularly interested when ever there was a bound woman on TV when I was growing up.

Here's some background on the comic that inspired the series.

Brutus: RAPEMAN! "Righting Wrongs Through Penetration". That's one of the funniest mottos I've ever heard. You have to absolutely love the Japanese. They're so politically incorrect to not only come out with a comic like that, but to actually make 4 movies based on the character. Just imagine if someone in the US tried to do that. The Bush administration would probably find a way to lock the creator up in jail and bankrupt him with millions of dollars in legal fees. In Japan, that's probably wholesome family entertainment.

I would love to meet someone from Japan and ask him if they ever have people protesting the themes that are so prevalent in their movies. My guess would be no. The difference between our two cultures is so immense. Probably most of the Japanese realize that there's a difference between art and real life and there are none of these silly worries about horror movies.

My own take about all the violent horror movies coming out that feature people (mostly women) in abduction and torture situations: Bring 'em on! Filmmakers are finally clueing in that these films are what a lot of people want to see. Face it, they're just taking the damsels in distress theme that has worked for years and making them more realistic, and not holding back on the actual content like they used to. I'd prefer to see more sexual themes to go along with the torture, but I think nudity and rape make people more uncomfortable than sheer torture and gore. But this "disturbing" trend is all right in my book. Keep it up, guys.

Silverback from Hardcore Abductions has a members section that he had to close, and he can't even accept credit cards for his DVDs on his site. According to him, they initially approve him, collect the fee and then drop him as "too controversial". Hello? He sells bondage rape videos. A 30-second look at his website would tell anyone that. So obviously they know what they are dealing with when they accept him as a client.

The banks made Renderotica, which doesn't even involve live models and is strictly an artwork showcase, censor their website to hide any artworks that dealt with bondage. They eventually did agree to a compromise that allows people to view such material, but now you have to specifically select those items in your personal profile first, since the default choice is to exclude them.

Steve at Powershotz was hit hard and had to pull the descriptions of his DVDs off his own website, even though he's now back up and running with an overseas merchant, which certainly is costing him a lot more just to do business.

Meanwhile, it's old news, but Rick Masters hasn't been able to sell ZFX movies on his own site for years because of government censorship. After years of being in business, they all dropped him like a hot potato and no financial institution will work with him anymore.

Here's a partial list of items that merchant banks have indicated that, due to governmental pressure, Visa now finds unacceptable:

- Pornography depicting an individual being killed - "Snuff"

Brutus: I've been wanting to see Murder-Set-Pieces for some time now. The previews looked awfully bloody. Since you have seen it, could you give us a review as to what's in it?

Apparently, the R version has been chopped beyond belief. I suspect that's true, as I just watched the R version (it was the only version available for rent), and I didn't see anything that would be of much interest to GIMPers. There were some scenes that suggested rapes had taken place, but everything in this version was off camera. The movie looked heavily edited -- according to reviewers on amazon.com, some 22 minutes have been chopped out.

Assuming Brutus has seen the unrated version, I would also be interested in his review, as the unrated version is apparently difficult to find. It's not available on amazon, for example.

I would happily move my business to a different bank and inform the first bank of the reason (their obscene censorship), if I knew my bank was pulling this crap.

As luck would have it I possess an uncut copy of MURDER-SET-PIECES - I've not viewed it in about a year so I can't do a complete review but here are a few observations if I may.

Yes, there are a couple of Gimp worthy scenes the best of which IMHO was when our whack job with the heavy teutonic accent gets two chicks he has recently photographed into his basement/dungeon and nails, literally, one to his torture chair and has the other suspended by her ankles from the ceiling. This movie is an utter gore fest. Karo syrup and red food coloring are all over everything - the models, the floors and walls, all over his equipment - if that is what you're looking for then this flick is worth a look. I can take it or leave it.

What turned me off about the movie is halfway through the whack switches from women to little kids for no apparent reason. From there to almost the end it was fast forward time until the hero kid discovers the whack job's body stash, including the kid's mother. As I watched I thought this premise was screaming for asphyxia as a somewhat "cleaner" method but basically you get an over the top slasher film with some bondage. I hope this short recollection will assist some Gimpers in a decision.

MURDER-SET-PIECES (uncut 2004) by Brutus

Murder-Set-Pieces is the second film by Nick Palumbo and produced by Fright Flix. A shitload of hype was made about the controversial nature of this violent flick, most of it from the director himself. So does it live up to all the fuss? Well, therein lies the problem in terms of GIMP scenes and the overall movie.

The story revolves around an unnamed fashion photographer (played by Sven Garrett) in Las Vegas who wants to cleanse the world of "filth." As we learn early on, he is involved in a relationship with an incredibly naive hairdresser, whose 11-year-old sister feels that Sven is a bit creepy. Hmmm. Could it be that Sven worships Hitler, and rapes, tortures and murders his models in a hidden dungeon in his basement? (The young sister is the only one with a brain in the movie, and is also the best performer!)

Our first GIMP scene starts with Sven getting it on with two naked babes on his bed. He slashes one of their throats. The other babe doesn't notice anything until she finds herself covered in her friend's blood. He chokes her unconscious, and she ends up tightly cleaved gagged in a short scene with the blood still smeared all over her.

The movie switches to a lame dinner party where Sven reveals that he has the personality of one of his camera lenses. That pretty much ends the "character development" of the movie, and we soon see what all the hype was supposed to be about.

Sven dunks a model's head in a bathtub and slashes her throat. A brunette lapdancer he picks up gets raped and beaten on his bed, blood spilling out of her mouth. She's later seen rope-gagged while Sven angrily explains his philosophies of life. At least I think it was rope gag. Hard to tell through all the blood and black gunk on her face.

Sven then is seen in his car getting some head from, well, a severed head (shades of Ralphus in BSF!) And after that, he's back in his dungeon chewing off pieces of a torso.

I guess the blowjob wasn't enough. Sven has a naked brunette in metal cuffs bent over on his bench press. He rapes her from behind in a frenzied manner while yelling at her in German. She does a damn good job of screaming and the rape scene goes on for over a minute. She ends up getting her mouth smashed on his barbell.

Sven now wants a threesome, so he gets two of his models who did some outdoor shots. The blonde is sitting on a toilet seat that is part of an elevated wooden thing that's she's tied to, but no gag. She's drenched in blood. Sven hammers a nail through her hand and slips a noose over her head. We see that her friend is naked and suspended upside down with leather straps and chains. Her hands are taped behind her back, and she's tightly tape gagged around the head. We don't get to see much of her face because Sven decides to put a plastic pig's head over it and wrap it with cord. Sven gives her a twirl, and she does a good job of "squealing" through the tape and pig face.

My feeling is that the director next wanted to play up the controversy angle by having Sven brutally and bloodily stab a young girl in a toilet at a park. And in another disturbing scene, Sven kills a fellow German woman at her home, and picks up her screaming infant with his bloody hands. The kid ends up crying and wandering to the body of his mother whose face has been beaten and bloodied.

Back to the dungeon, where Sven has a new blonde taped to that toilet seat thing. After menacing her with a chainsaw, he slowly cuts her head in half.

From there, it's just the obligatory chase scene with Sven trying to catch the 11-year-old sister, her stumbling on to all the corpses in his basement, and the possibility of a sequel.

Murder-Set-Pieces does a good job of supplying in-your-face gore, but it often appeared that it was simply gore for gore's sake. And this, for me, also ruined the potentially awesome GIMP scenes. The victims were hot, and did a convincing job of screaming in terror, but during the tortures, many of their features could barely be discerned through all the blood. Even in the rape scenes, they end up bleeding from the mouth and have the red stuff smeared all over their bodies. This is definitely NOT "Bedroom Bondage."

The movie as a whole was uneven. Sven's acting was way over the top and his rants in German were just annoying. The flashbacks to his childhood where I suppose Sven became a maniac were ill-placed and confusing. The scenes with the children appeared to be unnecessary attempts to add to the controversy of the film. It's also a good thing for Sven that there are apparently no cops in Vegas. There was also a Tarantino-type scene at a porno shop that offers a horrible plug for Palumbo's other movie, Nutbag.

So if, you like the ultra-violence with tons of blood and brutalized women, this movie will likely suit your needs. As for me, I give the movie a C-minus and the GIMP scenes a B-minus, mainly because of the overemphasis on gore. Still, I do think Nick Palumbo is a director GIMPers should keep an eye out for. If only he uses his budget more for ballgags instead of buckets of blood.

There was no woman suspended upsidedown, nothing about a woman on a toilet seat with a noose around her neck, and nothing about the lap dancer getting raped (although I did see the part where she performs the lap dance).

The only part of your review that sounds familiar to me was the scene with the two women on the bed, and even that one appears to have been chopped, as I don't remember anything about her being cleave-gagged.

I would caution everyone -- do not watch the R version of this film. By the way, Brutus, I thought that was an excellent review, even if I don't really recognize the movie.

Unfortunately, your review pretty much confirmed what I feared about Murder Set-Pieces. Even though it sounds like there's bondage and raping-a-plenty, all the vidcaps I saw showed the victims so drenched in blood that you could barely even tell they were women. I'm one of those few on this board that doesn't mind blood mixed his bondage, but when it looks like she took a bath in the stuff, that's a bit excessive.

I did like Nutbag, Palumbo's other film, even though that had some nasty gore in it, too. The best scene was when a beautiful blonde (Playboy Playmate Renee Sloan) got tied to a tree and stabbed in the pussy. Hey, I liked it, so sue me! Still, it looks like Palumbo has this idea that more blood = more controversy, when in reality, the key word is distress, not gore. In other words, we want to see them bound and suffering, not all covered in blood.

A Canadian: I was stunned by your earlier post that said Blockbuster carried Murder-Set-Pieces. But when you said all the "good" scenes had been edited out, I fully understand why this flick hasn't generated so much controversy here. Shit, the movie was made specifically to offend and test the sensibilities of society. Without those scenes, we have an incredibly lame slasher flick. Palumbo has gotta be pissed off.

Bloodsucking Freaks II: It looks like the rumored sequel to everyone's favorite horror film ain't gonna happen. The description about Bloodsucking Freaks II that was on the IMDb site last December has been removed. Ah, well. If that sleazebag producer who was peddling the movie had listened to me, and cast Lisa Kinkaid in a title role, he'd probably be rolling in millions by now. Instead, he has faded away in obscurity.

While I'm on the subject, the gore in the "good version" was done by the crew that made the August Underground films. THAT is some fucked-up extreme violence. For those whose interest in gimpdom bleeds over into enjoying ultra sick, gory, buttocks clenchingly cruel, disturbing ultraviolence directed towards nude women and men alike, go to toetag productions website and look around. Those films, along with some of Eric Stanze's work and a few horror films from the seventies (Anybody else a fan of "Last House on Dead End Street"? Anybody else even heard of the fucking thing?), are about as rough as it gets. The stuff they make isn't really intended as fetishy porn stuff, but it is brutal and it is sometimes sexual. I dunno. I figure the interest in Murder Set Pieces suggests enough gimp/horror crossover for me to make the recommendation.

Ralphus has a review of Fantom Kiler 2, the best in the series. Truth be told, the car-battery shock scene of a bound babe on the hood of a car simply destroys any scene in Murder-Set-Pieces.

Yeah, but then that scene pretty much blows away any electric shock scene (other than some of ZFX's) in movie history. It's listed in the Electro Torture in Movies Database as "Best Full Frontal electrocution ever" and I said the exact same thing in my review (linked above). That was a movie where the director truly "got it", that being the connection between bondage and suspense. That's a pretty bloody film, too, but I have no problems recommending it to fans of extreme bondage, since it's full of beautiful women bound and gagged and squirming, before meeting their demise.

Bloodsucking Freaks II: What the hell? You're right; the entire entry is gone! It's like the damn film never even existed. Maybe it never did, who knows? Supposedly it was already shot, but the IMDB must have learned something to suddenly chuck away all traces of it from their database. Most peculiar.

As of last week ZFX dvd's/videos have all been removed from most Adult Stores in the Sydney area, more crackdowns by police and "Family Values" groups who are determined to dictate their agenda and eradicate all porn, all fetish videos are once again under the eye of the censor even mild stuff like "Toe Fetish" is a no-no!

Some rebel stores persist but they run the risk of being closed down and facing court....also anyone in possession of such material runs a possible police encounter and fine...which makes me a dissident pervert...."I'll give up my ZFX films when they pry them open my dead cold fingers!!"

Missed that one. I thought I had seen it, but realized I was thinking of "The House On The Edge Of The Park". That's the one where the two head-cases invade a party and one of them (David Hess) starts assaulting the guests, including stripping a pretty young "virgin" and slashing her (not too bloody and not fatal) with a razor blade (see Homepage pic)? I liked the strangle in the beginning and the above-mentioned scene (especially Hess's gleeful expression as he attacks the girl).

I only wish he'd slowly garrotted Marie Claude Joseph while he had her top down. Her gasping her way to painful death would have made a good film truly GREAT.

Um, how's "Last House on Dead End Street"? [grin]

Last House on Dead End Street is a really, really obscure movie that has never received a real DVD release. I'd be surprised if there's a copyright holder anymore. The film's obscure history actually has lent it a certain mystique for horror geeks like myself that very few other horror films can match. It was a super cheap horror movie made by an almost completely unknown team who made the movie using pseudonyms. Because it was distributed so haphazardly (it was one of those films that got released in several different versions because the violence was so extreme that some distributors balked at how far the film actually went) and because the film's origins were so mysterious, it was rumored to be an actual snuff film for a long time.

It was released on video in the United States for a short while during the eighties, in a completely bizarre black box with a reproduction of the movie poster on the front of the box, and no other information anywhere to be found. This version is slightly edited for content, but the weird way that the film was cut actually makes the gore scenes MORE disturbing. Rumor has it that a more complete VHS version of the film exists that was ripped off by a fly by night distributor from a South American television broadcast. This version has really fucked up color and Spanish subtitles. (I amazingly found a copy of the fucking thing on the shelf of a video rental store in a a small, small town in south Georgia. I talked the owner into selling it to me. I think he thought he was ripping me off by charging me ten bucks for a movie he probably had never managed to rent out.)

ANYWAY, the movie is about a nasty middle aged swinger who dabbles in making porno films. He recruits an angry young thug who has just gotten out of prison to work for him. Doesn't take long for them to get into making snuff films. After a disagreement, the man, his wife, and a couple of companions end up at the mercy of the young thug and his female accomplices who proceed to torture them to death. What really sets this movie apart is the really nasty tone of the whole thing. It's filled with ugly, ugly sex and awful, cruel violence. You aren't going to like anybody in this movie. The thing everybody remembers who sees the movie is a scene of a woman strapped to a table who gets slowly dismembered. She keeps passing out, only to get awakened with smelling salts. It's genuinely uncomfortable.

The only thing I've seen like it was the first Guinea Pig movie. (Japanese film. . . basically a fictional document of a guy kidnapping and drugging a woman, and then cutting her into pieces for forty minutes. No plot, no nothing. Just gore.) This movie did NOT turn me on, but I think my obsession with it is certainly related to the fucked up shit that does. For those whose GIMP interest bleeds over into extreme horror, this is about as extreme as possible. You'll want a loooooong shower afterwards. You might get a hard on, but I didn't, and I'm a pretty sick fucker!

This forum was launched into cyberspace by the Gimp. It all started as a series of back and forth discussions the two of us had back when he responded to one of my ZFX reviews on the newsgroup alt.sadistic. He e-mailed me soon after and asked what I thought about an actual discussion site devoted to extreme bondage video. And a few days later this site was born.

Cut to present day. 8 years later, this forum is still running strong, and gaining in popularity every year. We've added several extra features over the years, and this year is no exception. Thanks greatly to the contribution of Jefferson James, we've been able to greatly expand our Rape in Movies database. The list is now separated into sections for both Mainstream and Adult movies, and we're not done adding to it yet.

Also added this time, and I'm especially proud of this one: a newly revamped Reviews section, now complete with over 300 reviews by our knowledgeable readers who have spent their time and effort reviewing movies for the board. And it's an improvement over what we used to have. Now if you're looking for a ZFX film...BANG! Right there in alphabetical order in the ZFX section. Japanese...right there. And if you're curious about a film and don't know where to look for it, the entire review database is also accessible in alphabetical order, too. It took me quite a while to overhaul 8 years of reviews, but I think we now have the best bondage review section on the net.

Also added: a new section for our banner links (anyone who hasn't seen this site's 3 new banners, check it out) and 7 new entries were added to our Notable Guests section. Scribbler and I had to endure a few long nights to get everything to you on time, so I hope everyone likes the updates.

Lastly, thanks greatly to the most important part of this site, and that's to all the readers who contribute here and share your opinions and reviews. Here in Australia, our censors and stupid anti-porn crusaders tend not to come mostly from the religious right, but from the feminist/politically correct left, mixed with your not quite political shock jocks. Bush satisfies his Christian base by ridding the internet of US based porn sites and he also creates a see what we are doing for you situation to appease Islamists, who similarly despise porn and the West's openness to such smut. That seems like quite a motivation for him to lean on the credit card companies in some way that is unknown to us. It is a win win situation for him - who cares about personal rights or rights of expression?

Who cares about personal rights or rights of expression? In the USA, lots of people do, including People for the American Way, the ACLU, and the Free Speech Coalition. But I can't find a single news article anywhere on the Internet about credit card companies pulling these shenanigans, much less about the Bush Administration pressuring them to do so, much less any indication that these groups are fighting against that.

Is this idea of credit card companies cracking down on erotica vendors an urban myth? If not, where's the proof?

It was a super cheap horror movie made by an almost completely unknown team who made the movie using pseudonyms.

I was peripherally involved in a film like that: Satan's Blade. I put in $1000 towards future earnings. What I didn't know was the the producer was running The Producers' gag on us. The film was made but never really distributed. Most of the "acting" is high-school amateur, the post-production is very bad and the "special effects" tended to be non-existent. It's got a couple of good killings (one at the beginning of one of my friends at the time is really hot) but it's VERY hard to find.
