It is true that I broke all my own rules about not getting involved with co-workers and avoiding nutcase women. I'm not surprised by your conclusions. This might be sacrilege to Ralphus, but the Attackers movies seem to be getting weaker lately. At least that's true for some of the recent ones I have seen. As Sloth has noted, they seem to be paying less attention to creating a real sense of menace, and often look very staged. Still, we can always hope for at least a few moments of greatness in part 2 of this movie...

I would also stand in line to buy sgtmajor's book. The inside stuff that producers post here is greatly appreciated. A book from a producer would be a must-read IMO.

A Canadian: I haven't seen enough of the recent Attackers movies to know if they are becoming weaker lately, although I'm not sure the Shark specials are considered part of the Attackers series. A lot of it depends on casting. The Attackers films and others with Randa Mai set the bar so high that it's going to be difficult to top those. He's a superstar bondage rigger because he pushes these girls further than they probably want to go. But not everybody has the viscousness of a Randa Mai, and he can't be in every movie. I'd like to sample some of the newer titles to see what you're talking about. I certainly hope the producers of the Attackers titles aren't deliberately toning things down. When they do it right, they make the meanest and nastiest movies I've seen.

Instead, my sense is that in too many films, they are more focused on creating the right look for the cover art, and are just going through the motions in the movies themselves. I still order from saveonav.com, but there doesn't seem to be as much variety as there was in 2005 when I first learned about the site.

Movie Pluses - The actress playing the wife is extremely convincing to me, conveying genuine torment. The actors, while not brutal enough for my taste, were just creepy enough. Normally, I would prefer younger chicks, but these actresses were good enough to make this work for me.

Movie Minuses - Still would like to see more menacing from the villains altho this bunch was somewhat better than Shark 27.

The Verdict - This one has, for me, a must see Part 2 since I assume the hottie daughter will be brought in and tortured with mom and aunt on the 3 for 1 special. All in all, this is, in my humble opinion, a better effort than Shark 27 from yesterday - a solid B

Actually, all three actresses in the film are familiar faces in the Attackers catalogue. The three actresses are:

• Ayano Murasaki, who plays the mother.

• Ruri Shiratori, who plays the older daughter. Ruri is a beautiful woman, and a very convincing actress, but unfortunately she has a big porn-star-lookin' tattoo on one of her legs.

• Ruka Uehara, who plays the younger daughter in the schoolgirl outfit. I think Ruka may have made as many films for the Attackers bunch as Lisa has made for Rick.

To clear things up, I have posted the cover art in my URL. Ruka is the young woman in the schoolgirl outfit in the front. The woman on the top left is Ayano Murasaki, and the woman on the top right is Ruri Shiratori.

It wasn't until I looked at the Attackers webpage (linked above) that I recognized it was Randa Mai as the chief attacker...that makes sense, considering the amount of abuse being dished out. All the women look pretty nice, too. Definitely one to consider for the future.

If you are like me, and sometimes enjoy seeing a more mature woman given the GIMP treatment, you should particularly like Part 1 of SSPD-030. Ayano Murasaki played a great victim, and has a nice, voluptuous body.

The movie is called Chop Shop. It is the true story of a (black) woman who took her car to an auto body shop for repairs in Riverdale, GA back in November 1994, and after two months of no progress, she goes to the shop to inquire about what's taking so long, and she is repeatedly raped and tortured, taken home and out of an act of mercy, was not killed. She then seeks revenge on her captors by killing them and then was never seen or heard from again, leaving behind only her journal which records in great detail the events.

The movie is a cross between any ZFX movie and "I Spit On Your Grave", the first half of the movie possessing the former, and the last half possessing the latter. The camera shots, sound effects, background music, and plot development is shockingly similar, if not identical to a ZFX movie. The only thing notably missing is an emphasis on BDSM and nudity, both of which this movie lacks.

SAN FRANCISCO -- When the National Guard left this city's historic State Armory and Arsenal building in 1975, the big Moorish castle fell into disrepair. Today, it has a controversial new lease on life.

Over the years, developers suggested turning the 1914 building, which is a mile from City Hall on the edge of the Mission District, into a church, storage space or an apartment complex. But proposals kept getting shot down, many of them falling victim to the city's powerful Planning Department and a thicket of zoning rules. Developers joked that the 200,000-square-foot Armory, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, was cursed.

It turns out there was an easy way to preserve the Armory that doesn't run afoul of San Francisco's planners: make pornography there. In December, Peter Acworth, chief executive of the Internet porn company Kink.com, bought the landmark building for $14.5 million. Last week, Kink began shooting bondage films at the site, and the Planning Department doesn't have a problem with that.

Mr. Acworth says city officials were especially pleased that he planned to use the Armory as is, without making big changes to its interior. That way, he didn't have to go before San Francisco's Landmarks Board for approval. In fact, the building's very details -- the dungeon-like boiler room, shadowy rifle range and wet basement -- appealed to Mr. Acworth.

"It's an authentic castle, whereas we had been building fake castles all this time" for our films, Mr. Acworth says.

The Armory is also zoned for "heavy commercial" use. Real-estate developers need special permission to build, say, condos or a church. Making films -- even dirty movies -- is OK. Tim Frye, a city planner who helps oversee the Mission neighborhood, says he found no reason to block the sale of the Armory to Kink. "Film production is a very sympathetic use" of the building, he says. "What happens in there is a private matter."

Heated Debate

Mr. Acworth's fait accompli has now sparked a heated debate over San Francisco's real-estate planning maze. Developers complain that outdated rules make it a nightmare for mainstream businesses to build in the most desirable parts of the city. Nonprofit groups gripe that planners are so focused on economic growth that the city sacrifices affordable housing. Some merchants say San Francisco's government cares only about its wealthier neighborhoods and lets just about anyone enter the Mission, a formerly low-income area that has lately filled with bars, restaurants and young hipster residents. Mission District activists are planning a protest this week.

Dark rooms and vast space2 at the San Francisco Armory appealed to Peter Acworth, CEO of Kink.com, who bought the building for $14.5 million. WSJ's Vauhini Vara spoke with Acworth at the Armory on the first day of filming video for the site.

The flap has drawn in the mayor, Gavin Newsom. Last week, Mr. Newsom announced plans to hold a community meeting to discuss use of the Armory and revisit city-planning rules. "I'm not going to moralize it, but I don't think this is the appropriate place" for a porn film studio, says the mayor, who recently admitted to having an affair with his re-election campaign manager's wife. "This is a city with a housing crisis, and now here we are with an adult studio near schools?"

Since 1975, the Armory has changed hands a number of times as development proposals have come and gone. The building has become dilapidated, with broken windows and rusted bathroom fixtures. A stream -- once meant to provide a water supply for soldiers trapped in the building -- runs through the basement. Graffiti mars the red-brick façade.

Former suitors took it all in and saw a massive renovation project. Mr. Acworth saw the perfect backdrop for Kink's hardcore videos. The 36-year-old Englishman says he had been studying for a graduate degree in finance in 1997 when he decided to drop out, move to San Francisco and start filming risqué videos in his apartment. In 1999, he launched CyberNet Entertainment LLC, which later became Kink. By last year, the company had $20 million in annual revenue, Mr. Acworth says, and nearly 70 employees, and it needed new digs.

Mr. Acworth, who was introduced to the Armory by a movie location scout in 2005, was immediately inspired by the building's size, winding stone staircases and marble columns. He kept in touch with the building's owner, a company run by businessman Kelly Ng. He had tried to sell the Armory several times but to no avail, and his own two-year effort to convert it to condominium apartments kept hitting roadblocks. In November, Mr. Acworth entered talks to buy the Armory. His lawyer sent a letter to a city planning official named Larry Badiner, stating that Kink intended to use the Armory to make "independent films and NC-17 rated films." NC-17 is the designation given to X-rated movies, denying admission to anyone under the age of 17.

In January, Mr. Badiner responded, saying the proposed use seemed just fine. The zoning official says he didn't notice the wording about NC-17 films. "Frankly, I kind of missed that," he says.

Still, Mr. Badiner and other officials who signed off on the plan say it's hard to imagine a better proposal than this one. Amit Ghosh, director of the city's Planning Department, has publicly said, "The planning code...is not really worried with moral propriety."

Mr. Acworth says he was surprised things went so smoothly for Kink at the Planning Department. "It's kind of funny that it's porn that has got everyone thinking" about how the planning rules should change, he adds.

Mr. Acworth says he plans to rent some space in the Armory to mainstream film producers, and that he will use the building to shoot his own features. Among the film ideas floated by his employees: shooting a naked-paintball scene, suspending women from the 65-foot-ceiling of the building's onetime drill court and using the dark, underground hallways to make zombie movies.

First Shoot

On a recent afternoon, he and a small film crew got ready for their first shoot in the building, on a balcony above the drill court where officers once practiced marching. A model wearing a bathrobe stood above a row of suggestive props and asked, "Is my hair OK?" Mr. Acworth says there was no plot to the movie.

Mr. Acworth said he had been thinking of hoisting a flag with Kink's logo -- a K with a devil's tail -- on the roof. But when a neighbor asked about the "dark spirits" Mr. Acworth was bringing to the neighborhood, he changed his mind. To curry favor with neighbors, he plans to use parts of the Armory for community activities, like internship programs -- in film production, not porn, he says. He plans to fix the windows and get rid of the graffiti.

Mr. Acworth hopes the current uproar will quickly subside. One tip from the lobbyist he hired to help him promote Kink's cause: Don't say anything bad about the mayor. "I'm sure Gavin's a decent enough bloke," Mr. Acworth says of Mr. Newsom, but when it comes to Kink's Armory purchase, he adds, "I don't think there's anything he can do about it." Mr. Newsom's response: "You don't enter into a community with opposition in the mayor's office." He warns that if Mr. Acworth rubs people the wrong way, "there could be future roadblocks."

Roberts is a decent but distinct second, although Dan-O is better than Roberts, he doesn't do much art any more, instead concentrating on SHC/DBC. Mr-X is a good third, but he's switched to doing Poser stuff, Cagri, Furball, and Deuce make up the top 5 or 6 (depending on who of the above you accept as a current artist). If you like Poser/Superheroine stuff, then NW316 is also pretty good. Then there's Rifferus. Each one has their strong suit -- I'm sorta not into the mutilation elements of Fansadox, but SHC/SBC/DBC certainly has some weird stuff going on with its, ummm, subtler "cannibal" elements.

Alazar is great, too, but I don't know if his stuff really qualifies, it's fairly tame and light bondage, so it's more GIP than GIMP... :-D

I showed you the process because that will work for many of the Attackers flicks, and almost all of the newer ones (DMM doesn't have the very latest, but anything that's further back than the most recent 5 or so should be there. I think that many of them also may have a short summary clip for D/L, too.

My personal suspicion here is that it's a two-fold problem -- First off, many white guys just don't like dark women in that way. Not saying none of them, just that it's a minority. This means that there is less demand for such that it's even more a niche market than even the general GIMP stuff is.

Second off, it IS a major issue if you're openly demeaning a black person. White people you can do anything you want to -- but that whole thing is too close to the ultra non-PC notion of enslaving them. Maybe I need to revisit the movie, but so far I do not share your enthusiasm for Shark 273. While the star, Sally Yoshino, is definitely beautiful, and the film does have some select moments, my overall take was that the movie was a disappointment. I found too much of it looked staged, and to echo the comment Sloth made about another movie, I never felt any sense of menace. I would be interested to hear more about your view of the film, and why it is growing on you.

I just wanted to chime in on my use of black ladies or lack their of. In the South, at least in this area, it has been hard to find them. Its been years since I combed the bars looking for talent, but when I was doing that I was looking for ANY attractive 18+ female who would perform, period. I asked many black gals, and they always said no or blew me off. It just boiled down to some white, Hispanic and Asian gals being willing perform in a film, and black gals not. I just never asked the right girl unfortunately.

I think part of the issue for a black lady doing bondage, as opposed to vanilla hardcore, is the idea of doing some slave / master thing that conjures bad visions of racial injustice. Its just not something they want to be involved in. Obviously, that's not what I'm doing, but if you say "I'm doing bondage movies," that's what pops into most peoples heads.

Both times I was in Minneapolis shooting we really made a big push to find black performers. It just didn't happen and it wasn't for a lack of begging on my part. Frankly, I love a hot black gal, one of my favorite flavors, but in the bondage genre they seem to be harder to find than other ethnic groups, at least for me in my geographic area.

In later years most of the talent coming my way has not been sought out, it just came to me through other performers or people I have met along the way. Those performers have been primarily white.

I have had a few offers over the internet and people trying to find black performers for me, but with this whole conversion thing I really haven't been shooting much, so I'm not looking to import talent at the moment. I very well may do that at some point though.

As far as close ups, geez, I love close ups! Nothing more exciting than seeing a tight shot of a pretty girl's gagged face, the fear and humiliation in her eyes. How can you not love that?

I definitely think close ups are more dramatic than full body shots. Of course, a good movie should have a combination of both. It's the choices a director makes in editing and shot location that can either enhance or detract from the overall impact of the movie. I'm a former filmmaker myself so maybe I'm overly critical when I see the director employ some sort of gimmick that makes me think more about the technique of the filming and less about what's actually happening onscreen. I don't want to be distracted from the fantasy.

And it's not just Dan turning the camera sideways that bugs me. Steve Power at Powershotz recently went through a stage where he was releasing his movies with a splitscreen that I thought was terribly distracting. You might remember how I bitched about that when I reviewed that recent Powershotz DVD a while back. Last I heard from him, he said he had cut way down on using the splitscreen, but would still use it occasionally. Well, that's a step in the right direction.

In his early works, Rick Masters, creative guy that he is, used some gimmicks like squeezing the video image, actually shooting an entire scene so that everybody was overly skinny in Alien Probe 3. Why? I have no idea. He probably liked it at the time, but I thought it marred what was an otherwise good segment from that movie.

He overused a video strobing effect in Fair Warning that he later rethought and released without the enhancements when the film hit DVD. He also used an echo effect in several of his films, an audio trick that he probably thought was neat at the time, but I notice he's eliminating that, too, as he's been restoring the older titles for DVD. I think as the years have gone by, he's begun to realize that his films didn't need all the fancy F/X and are strong enough without them. Indeed, they are better without all the distractions.

Rick: Always great to see you posting here on the forum. I think you make a good point about the whole master/slave connotations of filming a bondage movie with a black performer. I had the same thoughts myself, and Vreeble mentioned the same thing. Plus, as Steve mentioned, the demand isn't that great for black girls in bondage films. They just don't sell as well.

No specific information but most companies in Japan comply with the mosaic censorship rules. There are a couple which don't, as I understand (It is also possible that it was made by some other company outside of Japan, which does not have to comply with the Japanese laws because it isn't officially distributed there). What I was trying to point out was the truly ironic (to me) discomfort here with 'non-PC' 'racist' concerns, and whether this made us somehow culpable of thought crimes against decency. While on the subject allow me a short rant - I don't know if this is typical and while I am aware I don't have the most endearing personality on the planet, I have certainly grown weary of the very cavalier attitude some suppliers of our type of flicks display. In this case I refer to Red's Realm. On 11/2/06 I sent a payment via the net for 3 vids and backup dvds. Days turned to weeks and I began to send emails. No response until 12/13/06 at which time he stated he was sorry, had been layed up from surgery and encountered computer problems and would deliver in a few days. Again, days turned to weeks and after not responding to emails again he finally sent me a snide mail on 1/24/07 indicating the delay was somehow my fault since I was not informing him of which movies I ordered and what my mailing address was. Excuse me? - almost 3 months of having my money in your pocket you don't know what to send or where to send it? I told him I no longer wanted the product and just send the money back. Now, he finally returned the money last week so I'm not out anything except 3 months of trying to get a supplier to live up to his end of the contract. I mention this only to advise fellow Gimpers of my experience with that entity.

Also to my new friend Sloth, I took the name Glatman from exactly the source you described. As a matter of fact that scene you mentioned in the Dragnet movie, (I think it was actually Dragnet 66, the pilot for the revival of that great old show) is one of my earliest bondage memories. This is probably not one I'll buy, especially given the universal lousy reviews (A Canadian chose this one as his worst movie of the year), but I'm curious to see it for the subject matter. I'd personally rather see a good documentary on the subject (and how many people secretly are curious as to what was shown in those home videos the killers shot of their victims?). At any rate, whether it's heavily flawed or not, we won't have much longer to wait for the movie to come out on DVD.

Larry at VM: Personally, I've been a customer at Video Mayhem for years, and I wouldn't want to see you quit carrying Japanese titles, either. Branching out and carrying factory pre-records is a good idea, but you've always specialized in Japanese and there are few other sources available on the net for those.

Naturally, being the stubborn sort, I stand by my review of the movie and my conclusion that Karla was the worst film of 2006. Still, I will be interested to hear what other GIMPers think of the flick, once it is available to a greater number of us.

I have a question, and I consider it a pretty serious one. Recently, while I was out of town on business my computer froze up. My significant other knows nothing about computers except the basics to get around the net. As you have probably guessed she took it in to a mom and pop computer store in town. I'm sure the problem is simple and one that I could have handled.

My question is ...should I be worried about the authorities being alerted? I have a lot of bondage videos and photos on the hard drive. It's also doubtful that a computer repairman would look at your shit anyway. I doubt there are any privacy laws to prevent them from doing so, but I think those guys generally have a policy not to go snooping around. If customers found out, they sure wouldn't go back. For a frozen computer it was probably a software thing, in which case they just run some software that patches up the problem. They shouldn't be opening anything up.

I went through the same experience recently. My own computer started fucking up, and I took it to the computer place to get fixed. I had plenty of unsavory porn on there, and nothing bad happened. I actually happened to know one of the guys who worked there, and had they found anything embarrassing, I would have heard about it. (You'll just have to trust me that this guy would have squealed.)

I suppose there is a really slim chance that some jackass snooping around might find your schoolgirl pics and call somebody, but I wouldn't worry about it. Are the computer guys asking you to come at a particular time or even on a particular day? Now that might make me nervous, but otherwise you are seriously in the clear. I wouldn't expect cops to hang out all week waiting for you to show.

But seriously, as long as they aren't asking you to come at some particular time, I can't imagine that any cops are going to be there. They are not going to set up a stake-out for somebody looking at porn. I think that if they were going to arrest you, they'd have done so by now.

The two cents I would add here, for any future problems, is that cops are generally looking to catch child pornographers - people trafficking in underage videos and photos. Your bondage videos aren't an issue. If the schoolgirls photos are from a site stating that the models are all 18 & older, I doubt that's a problem either. I am by no means a lawyer, just going on general observations. I have never read or heard of a case or sting operation to catch people with deviant porn on their computers. It's not illegal to send someone a bondage photo; it is to send a pornographic photo of a minor. That's what they'd be after.

When we last left our trio of tethered terrified teller tarts the first two had already been put through the paces. We pick up with the original bank whack job guy now tied up himself sitting on the floor beside the first two tellers. They are naked, chained by the neck to the wall and bound - other than window dressing they really play no part in this episode - this one is devoted almost entirely to the third teller. She is the least attractive of the three but she takes some serious abuse. She is partially clothed, bound wrists behind, upper body corded and roped to the ceiling. Her skirt is pulled down and gets some lashes along with hair pulling and verbal abuse. One of Barbie guys cohorts holds her in place and more lashes and face slaps - this lashing draws some major welts and trickles of blood on her thighs. She gets waxed on the back, lowered to the floor where her ass is lashed with tails and more waxing.

She is untied and the remainder of her clothing is removed. She gets more lashes and wax. A rope is tied around her neck and she crawls on the floor led by her new leash. She is led over to the others and is made to grovel and put some lovies on the tied up bank whack. The neck rope is removed and she must grab hold of a metal hoist ring and she gets lashed with the tails and riding crop. A small pink dildo goes up her pussy. She falls to the floor and gets diddled. She must lick the juice from his fingers.

A black hood is placed over her head and a nose space is cut out with scissors. Her arms are bound crucifixtion style to a long bamboo pole then hoisted up - more whipping and hard nipple pinches. Movie Pluses - This teller conveys torment better than the other two - less attractive but a far better performance than the others. And Barbie Guy was somewhat more threatening than in part 1.

Movie Minuses - to me, this teller should have been bound more often as she spends about half the time untied. I guess bank whack goes on to kill the tellers but that is unresolved. Left me hanging.

The Verdict - on balance, this was more enjoyable viewing than part one albeit 1 hour shorter. So, giving it a notch above part 1 it gets a C+.

On the other hand I guess I should read some of the reviews on this board and try a few. So I will add my vote to VM keeping at least its better inventory on hand, at least until I try a few.

But my one pet peeve in Japanese movies is the gagging, specifically those whiffle ball gags they use. I don't know whether the holes in the ball are for safety purposes to let the victim breathe (doubt it), or if they are used to add to the humiliation by having the victim drool all over herself. I've also seen an awesome movie where firecrackers are placed in the holes of the gag (was it SHK-068?) and some films where the attackers piss on the woman's face and the liquid goes through the holes.

But for the most part, those whiffle ball gags are just too small, often end up looking like cleave gags, and seem too whimpy in otherwise brutal scenes. Give me a solid, jaw-stretching red ball gag any day. Maybe I'm just being picky. What do you guys think? Do you prefer Japanese whiffle gags or solid ball gags?

As for Karla Homolka, it was reported in Toronto recently that she may have just had a baby and is planning to get married. I'm not sure how this factors into the discussion, but I thought some of you might be interested.

Brutus:: While I prefer the modern red rubber ball gag, the whiffle ball gag that you sometimes see in Japanese bondage flicks doesn't bother me much. At least it fills her mouth, but the holes in there don't seem to serve much purpose except for the two instances you mentioned where they were really put to good use. Attackers #66 had a scene like that where they pour piss through the little holes in her gag (loved it!) and you're right, it was Attackers #68 that had that memorable segment where the fuse burns all the way up to the firecrackers in her gag, still one of the hottest scenes I've ever encountered in bondage movies PERIOD. You know what confuses the hell out of me? What the Japanese think is so hot about nose hooks. They'll devote 5 whole minutes to making a girl look at herself in the mirror while the bad guy stretches out her face and makes her look ugly with the use of nose hooks. I've seen some US producers use them, too, like Insex and Powershotz. Can someone tell me what's the point?

Ralphus - that's correct, those screen shots are from both parts - the cover shot has the two cutest tellers upper right and lower left - the least attractive is upper left and somewhat horizontal - A Canadian wrote I seemed lukewarm to the flick and that pretty well describes it - thought it was a great premise with three snotty twit bitches getting their due - perhaps my disappointment comes from that enticing scenario just not being well executed IMHO - concerning that nose hook thing - now I am no expert but I live in an area where alot of high dollar horses are bred and raised - I have been told that when artificial insemination is not used, owners of the stallions protect their investment by placing some kind of nose hook on the mare - supposedly, the nose contains an extremely high level of nerve endings and by interrupting that, the mare is put into semi la-la land so she won't rear up and injure the stallion - is there a connection? - I have no idea and frankly find that nose hook thing on a woman grotesque.

Brutus and Glatman - yeah, give me a cleave, OTM, tape or nice ball - I just don't dig the whiffle ball thing although the firecracker bit does sound interesting.

ZFX update: Smart move on Rick's part, releasing The Incubus and Incubus II as a double feature. Incubus II was a bit of a stinker, but the first half with Lisa Kinkaid was a good movie, so that would make the DVD worthwhile.

IMO, that's four good DVDs being released, all of them titles I've seen and would definitely recommend. And if fact, two of those movies were on my recent list of the Top 10 ZFX Rape Scenes of all time, with Courtney Bishop's scene in Belly of the Beast and Holly Weston's memorable turn in Night Prowler 2. This is very good news for ZFX fans.

Run Time 1 hour 52 minutes.

The Verdict - Part 2 is just a tad less effort than Part 1 and overall a superior product to Shark Special 27. Grade - B

Here's a quick review of one movie that won't be winning any big awards this evening:

Title: See No Evil

Stars: Christina Vidal, Rachael Taylor and Kane

Director: Gregory Dark

Running time: 80 minutes.

These days, you always hope a horror movie will have something within it to satisfy a GIMPer's unique tastes.

Sadly, in the case of the WWE-produced film, See No Evil, there's nothing really there. Despite the fact it's produced by a guy (Vince McMahon) who likes showing "bra and panties" matches on primetime television, and directed by a guy (Gregory Dark) who is best known for lensing top-notch sex scenes with strumpets like Ginger Lynn, Traci Lords and Brittany O'Connell, See No Evil fails to titillate.

The movie is about an attractive group of delinquents who are sent to an abandoned hotel, where they are to renovate it into a homeless shelter in exchange for reduced time in juvenile detention. Unfortunately, the dirty old hotel is haunted by a seven-foot monster, Jacob Goodnight (Kane), who likes capturing young people and ripping their eyes out. It's part of a weird Christian thing to ensure these young people no longer "see" any evil.

There are plenty of attractive young women in the film -- Christina Vidal and Rachael Taylor are the standouts -- but there's no nudity, no scantily clad women, and the few GIMP-worthy scenes in the film flash by pretty quickly. The highlights would include:

• A scene where a fully clothed woman (Samantha Noble, as seen here: Samantha) is tied AOH to a post, with a thick cloth gag covering her mouth, and a curious Kane is running his hands over her face. The scene has potential, but it is short (38 seconds) and goes nowhere

• A scene where the same woman, Samantha Noble, is locked inside a dog cage while a fascinated Kane stands outside the cage and starts jerking off (not explicitly shown). "You pig," Samantha protests (running time: 25 seconds, excluding a flashback that appears in the middle of the scene)

• A flashback scene where Jacob and his psycho mother have a young woman bound to a bed. The young woman, who is wearing a T-shirt and short skirt, has her arms bound to the bedposts at the side, and her ankles are tied together and tied to the bed (sort of a horizontal Crucifixion look). The woman's mouth is cleave gagged by a cloth, and she squirms and writhes about. Then, the psycho mother comes over and rips her eyes out (running time: about 55 seconds).

The lead actress, Puerto Rican/American star Christina Vidal, is also a stunner, but she escapes unharmed.

In the end, there's little to recommend in See No Evil. The movie is darkly lit, jumps about with all types of quick-motion zooms and jerks, and the few GIMP moments that do exist are too short to be of any value. Oh, and for those who care, the movie isn't scary.

I guess I have to give some credit for at least slipping a little bondage into the action. My grade: D.

My opinion: Oh yes, definitely a great torture. That's one of the reasons why Japanese bondage films rock, because they don't hold back when it comes to really making those girls suffer. None of this wimpy US stuff where they hold the candle way over their heads before they allow it to drip on the victim, giving the wax a chance to cool down in the air before it hits skin. And they often use white candles, which don't burn as hot (and are hard to see, too). They do it so that the experience isn't as bad for the actress getting waxed, and it's a waste of time.

Nope, the Japanese use those big red candles and often several at a time, and they really cover the girls in wax. The screaming you hear is because they are really suffering and really getting burned, and that's a big turn-on for me. The Japanese know it hurts, too, and that's why so many of their movies include wax scenes, often near the end as a climax of sorts. And if you don't like the way wax looks on their bodies, the Japanese know just the right way to remove it...they whip it off! Unless you feel that whip marks are also ruining a beautiful canvas. Wax Poll: I like the candle wax for three reasons:

1. The woman is almost always bound tight for the scene.

3. As Ralphus pointed out, the pain is real and the screams and futile struggles against the ropes are genuine.

The Wax poll: I don't think either of the two voting options captures my view on hot wax scenes. Basically, I can live with or without them. They don't do much for me, but I don't think I would go so far as to say they are a "turn off."

There have been some wax scenes I have enjoyed, such as Anjyu's scene in Attackers #77 and Lisa's scene in Drifters. Generally, though, they are pretty low on my list. I prefer whippings, electric shocks, and a little of the old in-out, in-out.

Frankly, I am not surprised by your comments in the Minuses summary about some scenes dragging on too long. I'm not sure Ralphus and others would agree, but I have also found in the past that Randa's movies have that problem. It might be better if he tightened up some scenes and released a 90-minute film, rather than a two-hour movie where some bits seem to go on forever.

I would also agree that the appearance of the victim or victims is essential to the enjoyment of the movie. I usually can't get into a scene if I don't find the woman attractive.

Sloth: Wow, Attackers #92 sounds great. Fire torture? Oh, yeah, that's a Ralphus movie for sure. Good to see Attackers is still pushing the envelope coming up with ingenious new ways to make pretty girls suffer. And this is a VERY pretty girl, too. Turn her over to Randa Mai and good things are bound to happen (well, not good for her, anyway, hee hee). Your review convinced me. My copy is on the way.

BBFan: Thanks for the link about Sgt. Major. Looks like he's calling his new HOM tribute "Punished For a Price", subtitled as "Punished 8". And he's currently casting for a remake of Whitman's Tourist Trap, very good news. Although wasn't ZFX's South of the Border series a remake, too? Well, maybe not, but it had to have been inspired by it. At any rate, that series rocked, so I'm interested to see what the Sarge cooks up. BTW, there's a shout out to Travis Lee on that blog. I wonder if he's talking about our Travis Lee, the ZFX star and fellow GIMPer?

Sloth, thanks for the review on Attackers 92. The girl looks very hot, nice natural curvy body, enuff to grope and fondle without being fat. I sent my order into VM today and will post my opinion once I view it! Even though there's some wax in this pic, I'm not really into the wax thing either. I don't like waxy yellow build up on my victims anymore than Mary Hartman (remember that name tv fans?) did on her floor!

My favorite part of the GIMP genre is the look of fearful anticipation you get on the models face, especially when the bad guy is about to start molesting her. In particular I'm a huge fan of the forced orgasm. The guy who I think was best with those terrified close ups was Whitman. Some of those old loops were really great. The gritty film work only seems to enhance that quality. Here's hoping that Sgt Major remembers that wide eyed look in his new series!

Nose hooks: Does nothing for me, and that goes for all other face manipulations, nose "examinations" and eyeball licking (!!!???) that for some reason takes place in JAV's.

Purple tits: Not really, tit torture IS my favourite fantasy, but I prefer the natural curves of a breast, and as other already have pointed out, this only makes the breasts look ugly.

Candle wax: I mostly consider waxing to be the mildest form of torture and will generally not buy a title if it hasn't got something rougher going on as well.

Still, if there's a good reaction from the victim and she's a real looker (and there's a lot of 10's among the JAV actresses) it CAN be a great turn on. I remember enjoying a scene where a babe had her nipples and tits repeatedly waxed after peeling it off again, yummy :-)
