The only thing I've seen from Marie Madison are the first three episodes of a series called The Agency, and I wasn't real impressed. Part of the reason is that I don't find Marie Madison attractive, not even in the least. To me, she looks more like an ugly guy. I'll give her credit for being ambitious by writing and directing her own productions, but I think her best work should be behind the camera, and not in front of it.

She does have a fairly cute and busty woman working with her named Kami Andrews, and while she's not the best actress in the world, I kinda like her. The third episode contained the only scene that was semi-worthwhile, IMO, which involved Kami being tied naked spreadeagled to a bed while a couple of guys molest her body. She's gagged with white tape and looks pretty hot. But once they take off her gag to make her suck cock, the action is filmed so no ropes are in view, and then the action gets hardcore involving penetration, and the ropes are completely gone and so is the believability of a realistic rape. Fast-forward time. Waste of a good premise.

Another thing about this series: bad special effects. There are some scenes in the first three episodes that involve cigarette burning and electric shock, two tortures that usually do it for me, but not here. They superimpose totally lame shock effects over the action as the women get shocked, which draws attention to itself and reminds everyone this is supposed to be fake. The cigarette burnings are even worse. Here, they superimpose what looks like a tiny little atomic bomb explosion every time a cig gets touched to the skin, a laughably bad effect that never should have been attempted.

My only guess is that they wanted these effects to look less than realistic so people wouldn't be offended by torture scenes, or else they just don't know how to do any better. Either way, none of those scenes worked, and that, combined with the lack of real bondage rape, pretty much turned me off to any more of Marie's productions unless I hear that things have improved. It looks like she's restructuring her website right now, since only the main page is working.

I did receive one a few weeks ago that surprised me...it's called "Behavior Modification," and it stars some woman named Maxine X. For the most part, it's just another unexceptional consensual bondage vid where Maxine is bound in various positions by two dommes and then whipped (lamely) and stimulated with sex toys. Then, at the one hour mark, there's a six-minute sequence totally unrelated to the rest of the movie, where Maxine has her wrists bound behind her and then gives a blow job to some guy.

It's not a great sex scene...for one thing, the guy inexplicably is wearing nipple clamps (!?) and his groans of orgasmic joy are unintentionally hilarious. I can't recommend the movie just for this one scene, but I was surprised that somebody would take a chance on inserting a segment of uncensored bondage sex given the current climate.

Thees Van Kemp: I saw Vostock Core years ago. It's more of a minor league title, IMO, but nearly every ZFX has good scenes that make them worthwhile. Plus this one stars the legendary Chandra Sweet, looking every bit as hot as she did in her classic role in The Cheerleaders of Perilous U. My favorite scene has Chandra tied back to back with Laura Jo Dalton, being harshly whipped by a couple of men. As far as I know, this one is still only available on VHS.

Vostock Core has some of my favorite ZFX scenes. I agree that Lisa Kinkaid is pretty, but ultimately I much preferred Chandra Sweet, her devilish smiles and her tight small-titted little body.

Rick hasn't really cast too many girls in dominant roles lately. In my mind, no one has ever topped Chandra's unique ability to add to a movie by simply laughing at another girl's misfortunes or by getting turned on watching her suffer. Behind the scenes footage: I totally dig it; my favorite aspect of the later ZFX DVD releases is the extra footage you get to see, especially outtakes and seeing Rick and the actors joking around between shots. To me, it's fascinating stuff to get to see Rick direct one of these productions, like telling an actor he has to suck the girl's boob from the side because otherwise he's blocking the light, and then getting to see an actress casually walk across the room with a rag stuffed in her mouth between shots. When he first started doing DVD conversions, Rick commented here that including the extras was taking too long, so he had to abandon the idea of including them for his older titles, at least until he has all of the conversions finished. He did hint at the time that eventually we might see DVDs released later that incorporated extra footage, although he said that years ago, so I don't know if he still has plans for that. I sure hope we do get to see it eventually. Behind the scenes with your favorite ZFX stars! That would be an awesome treat.

The first interview is with Arlana Blue, a 70s porn star who was one of the Cannibal Girls in the cage. She is the one who eats the "penis sandwich." (Arlana calls it a "cold cock sandwich"). She says that when they were filming the scenes with the caged women, the actresses were trying not to laugh.

The second interview is with Ernie Pysher, the guy who played the dentist. And the scary thing is, he doesn't look much different in the interview than he did in the 1970s (I believe the DVD was released in 1998). Psyher says he thought Bloodsucking Freaks was a satire, and that the film critic in the movie was supposed to be Clive Barnes of the New York Times. He says the football star was supposed to be Joe Namath.

The interesting part is that he says the movie was mostly filmed from midnight to 6 a.m. each day, as many of the performers had daytime and evening jobs.

There is also an interview with Victor Kanefsky, one of the co-editors of the film. I guess a film of this magnitude required more than one editor.

The most unintentionally funny part of the interviews occurs near the beginning, when Eli Roth asks Arlana if she remembers a particular scene with Ralphus, the "little midget." What other kind of midgets are there?

I read of a Dom who would on occasion subject his female sub to what he called a "flybath"....tying her up naked in a barn, coating her body with a broth-type substance, and letting the horseflies/deerflies swarm her, which they supposedly did by the hundreds after about 20 minutes or so. Would be awesome to see that on film! Not a farmer type myself but I guess horse and deer flies can bite pretty good....sounds like an awesome torture. As far as anthills, Insex had a bound naked woman tied to a stake in a sitting position over an anthill, situating her so that the ants would crawl around her crotch area. Not enough ants, but a nice scene nonethless.

The mainstream movie Heaven & Earth had a cool torture scene where 3 Asian women are bound to a stake; honey is painted on their bare legs and ants are allowed to go to work on them. There's also an old black and white Western film where Indians tie a woman naked to an anthill, although you don't really get to see much.

The Japanese are such sick fucks that they've incorporated scorpions, centipedes, spiders, eels, snakes and God knows what other kinds of gross creatures into their bondage scenes. In the movie Attackers #68 (picture above) the bad guys terrify this poor girl by using a series of creepy bugs on her naked body while she's tied up. It's like watching a bondage film crossed with "Fear Factor". The screaming she does is clearly not faked. Incredible movie from start to finish.

They do the production as a video shoot, which means that the pictures on the site are mainly vid caps from the production. For the more recent productions, they have added high resolution photos though. Which again shows in detail how good they are at creating good settings for the scenes! If you want to see the video, you have to pay an extra fee per movie though, that's the drawback. The membership to the site gives you access to the pictures only, video download is extra. They have recently opened an online shop for DVD's as well, that will without doubt mean even higher quality than the downloads.

A good idea might be to join the site, look at all the pictures and then decide which ones are worth the extra money to download or order as DVD's.

Jeff, regarding inquisition themes, there is also the Red Feline on the Cross at http://www.redfeline.com/. Both InquistionLive and Red Feline are unfortunately, in my opinion, overpriced. But, it is worth signing up for a month to look around. After seeing a few videos from InquisitionLive, I have grown a bit tired of their stuff. For one thing, the pace is too slow. Maybe they don't do a good editing job, and let the certain transition theme go too long. Maybe, they are doing it to fill time, since the videos typically lack plots, and there aren't enough action sequences to fill the time. I wouldn't hold this against them, but this makes their prices seem unreasonably high.

I have not seen any Redfeline video, so I can't give you any personal comments. But, judging from the pictures and online, I would guess they are as good, if not better than InquisitionLive. Let us know what you think when you get a chance to view their stuff.

I wasn't gonna mention it, but since you asked, I have not yet received the CUT movie from Stray Thoughts. It's been just short of a month, and "Chris" at Stray Thought hasn't got around to ship the order. I sent him an e-mail last week, and he said he had a back-log, and mine will be shipped "shortly"--that was more than a week ago. I am not in a big hurry, and I think the guy deserves a break for the holidays. But, if he doesn't ship within next week, I am gonna have to hold it against you this time (just kidding).

BTW, I finally saw Criminal Women 2 and War Victims 2 and 3. Criminal Women 2 is as good as CW1, and worth every penny. Nothing much new in War Victimes 2 and 3 compared to 1, except for the very nice knife play in 2. So, 2 is worth the money, but 3 is just old stuff.

Also saw "SNAP". Really good. Eventhough the torture is not as harsh as ZFX's, to my surprise (since I am usually pefer hard torture), I was quite turned on by the rape actions in the movie. Too bad, Forbidden Video has to go underground.

I noticed is some ZFX films there's a bit of forced feeding [Lisa K being fed what appears to be dog food South of the Border 6, which also is a great ZFX title}] Something more perverse is what some Native Indians of South America (The Mapuches of the Argentina - Chile) would tied their naked victim to the ground fill the eyesockets with honey and let the ants loose...pure evil.

"In darkness my heart was won"

This is a Japanese movie, sort of mainstream, but really hard for mainstream, I thought. I found it by accident in the local video store, but Netflix carries it as well.

The story is about the obsession of a pimp with a girl he has seen on a park bench. He makes a really crass move on her, which she rejects. Undaunted, he sets her up for a fake theft charge, then makes her sign her rights to her body away if she can't make up the cash for the loan to pay off the fake theft in time. naturally she doesn't make the deadline, and descends into a world of prostitution and slavery.

There isn't much in the way of bondage in this movie, but there is psychological and physical rape aplenty. It's a really nasty movie, the kind I was surprised to see at Netflix. I don't want to give it all away, so I'll let you form your own impressions. Note: It is subtitled.

My grade: Considering it was a mainstream and not a regular fetish movie, I'd have to say a solid B+.

Mincemeat Pie is one of my Top Ten ZFX titles of all time. Several Redneck good ol' boys (plus Chandra Sweet as the good ol' girlfriend) decide to have a good ol' time with busty blonde Penelope Pace and put her through total hell, culminating in a fun game called "Whip The Bitch" at the end. Plus as a bonus, there's Lisa Kinkaid as a law enforcement officer who gets captured by one of the rednecks and ends up in an extremely painful chair-tie at the conclusion, including being sexually penetrated with her own nightstick!

Buried, also known as Video Pirates 2, would probably also crack that Top Ten list. At any rate, it features the beginning of what is arguably ZFX's best-ever setpiece, which runs until Part 5. In this one, Rick and Chandra (never better) terrorize an unsuspecting girl who, unfortunately for her, happens to be related to a guy who is ripping off Rick's business, so they make a videotape of her ordeal to send to her father in-law. The girl gives a totally realistic performance, which enhances the drama and makes it more believable. If I had a wish, it's that someday Rick would combine all the footage from that scene and release it as one DVD, instead of stretching it out over 4 tapes. But it's a small quibble, since the rest of the Video Pirates series had some great stuff in it, too.

One thing about most of the Attackers titles: the suffering endured by the girls is usually real, and the girls are generally very attractive. Completely makes up for the censoring that comes with the Japanese videos.

Thanks for the comment on Red Feline. I was going to shell out the $70+ to see one of their videos, just because I start to get bored by InquisitionLive. But, given your comment, I am going to wait till they are offered at a more reasonable price.

Even though I complain about their prices, I must acknowledge that the serious effort of InquisitionLive and Red Feline on attacking the inquisition genre, with the "authentic" looking dungeons and costumes, and generally the "right" atmosphere. When I say "Authentic" or "Right" I mean that these seem to resonate with my own fantasy of what an inquisition dungeon would have looked like and what took place there. The set and costumes must have costed a pretty penny to design and build, and perhaps that justifies the high price. But, a lot of these gadgets can be reused, and the incremental cost of producing new videos should gradually come down. So there is hope yet that we may see huge price reduction from these sites in the future.

Just hope that they do that soon before too many potential customers get turned off by the high prices. Remember price elasticity of demand: lowering prices might stimulate far more demand to more than make up for lost revenue per unit. If we poll the readers of this forum, I bet the number of potential buyers of Inquisitionlive videos would triple if the price is cut in half.

I don't think it has any insects in it but the movie does look good. It will likely arrive late next week and I will post a review sometime in the near future.

Just a couple of quickies. First I wanted to thank Thees again for his wonderful and always entertaining reviews.

For Jeff, I have some good news and some bad news.

The good news is that insex had done a number of things with insects. I know that he had a model, Shonta, staked out on a mattress, clamped wide open, with a spider crawling all over her very exposed body. In another scene with this same model he had her in an AOH position, with her feet resting on an anthill. He also did a scene with worms, crickets and leeches, but I don't remember those as well. I know Shonta, cause I shot her as well, and she is Trinity in my vids.

The bad news is, as you can see by reading past posts, insex has closed up shop. Perhaps you can find a friend who has these rm files, but they are going to be very hard to get unless the person who bought insex makes this material available on dvd or video some day.

Kevin I think japan av is okay but what you get are video cd's not dvd's. Quality is only okay so I rather pay a few bucks more from other places and get a quality dvd. They also rename the movies at japan av so if your not a box art expert you may end up buying movies twice!

Mr. Retailer is right. You would do much better to find a site that sells DVDs. I purchase my Japanese movies from www.SaveonAV.com, which sells both DVDs and VCDs. The DVDs are pirated copies, but the quality of the movies has been very good, at least for the movies I have ordered so far.

This was part of the review of an upcoming movie "Karla" about serial rapists/Killers Karl Homolka and her boyfriend Paul. I believe that this was a Canadian couple, which would give any of the Americans, like the Hillside Strangler guys, a run for their money.

The reason for my post, is the observation that the general public seems to have less problems with movie making of this sort -- even though 1) It is based on real events that actually happened to some poor real girls; 2) It involves minors; and 3) The minors have real relatives that are alive and will undoubtedly be faced with having to relive horrible memories -- as opposed to movies like Rick's that are made up stories that reflect fantasy on film.

Karla or the Hillside Strangler are entertainment and ZFX is perversion -- I don't get it.

That's probably because she committed some of Canada's most notorious -- and, in a bizarre way, fascinating -- crimes of our times.

The true-life story is about two attractive, picture-perfect young yuppies who got married in the late 1980s, and proved to be perfectly matched psychopaths. Her husband started first, secretly committing a series of rapes in an area just outside of Toronto.

However, his wife -- Karla Homolka -- soon joined in the crimes, helping Paul to kidnap, torture and ultimately murder two teenage girls, Kristen French and Leslie Mahaffy. And all of it was captured on videotape. The pair also accidentally murdered Karla's sister, Tammy Homolka.

There is plenty to this story that has kept it alive:

-- mis-steps by the police that let Paul Bernardo slip through their fingers, even when they had DNA evidence that would have proved Bernardo was the serial rapist. And this was before the murders were committed.

-- a plea bargain that Karla Homolka struck with the Crown Attorney's office, where it was agreed that she was a battered housewife who was forced to submit to her husband's will. She got a maximum sentence of 12 years -- and then the authorities discovered the videotapes I mentioned earlier. Once they saw the tapes, it was clear that Karla was an enthusiastic participant in the sex crimes against the teens, but the deal was struck.

There is plenty more, but I won't tell it all here.

Anyway, this story has been captured on film before. A few years ago, a loose version of the story was told on the TV show, Law and Order. In that story, there was justice in the end -- prosecutor Jack McCoy found a way to get around the plea bargain and convict the "Karla" character to a longer sentence after she testified against her husband.

In the real world, there was no Jack McCoy to restore justice. Karla Homolka served her sentence and was released from jail last summer.

The suffering and some rapes of the two teenagers were captured on videotape. However, the murders weren't caught on tape, and there was some debate at trial about who actually committed the murders -- Paul or Karla? Fortunately, Paul was convicted without any plea bargains, and will spend the rest of his life in jail.

The best Law and order episode, however, involved a guy who raped and murdered some woman and then fled to Canada to avoid having to face the death penalty in the U.S.. He and his attorney in Canada fought extradition on the grounds that shipping him back to the U.S. for rape/murder charges would be tantamount to imposing the death penalty. The judge agreed and the guy looked so smug. The woman D.A. dropped the charges for extradicting him for rape/murder and instead just charged him with theft - he had robbed a store and/or stolen the car that he used to cross the border to Canada. The guy's attorney argued that the D.A. was just using the theft charge as a vehicle to get him back to the states, where he would undoubtedly be charged with rape/murder. The Canadian judge ruled that it was only hypothetical speculation that would lead to the conclusion that the theft charge was only made to get him back to the states for that purpose -- the look on the faces of the D.A. and the guy in the end were priceless!

It would probably make a good plot for a ZFX film to start in a courtroom with a gimp victim or two testifying, by way of flashback, about being abducted and tormented at the hands of some villian on trial.

I don't think many people in Toronto will go to see Karla (the movie) next Friday when the flick opens. Even people who want to see it will know that the media will be out in full force, asking people why they are lining up to see this film, which has been heavily criticized in these parts.

Personally, I'm undecided about whether I will ever see it. If the movie is any good, I might see it at some point.

However, our politicians in Ontario have mused in the past about trying to have the movie banned. If that issue comes up again, I will make a point of seeing Karla as a matter of principle -- regardless of whether the film is any good or not.

This guy is for you if you enjoy seeing creative bondage and cruelty using such things as blow darts, red hot light bulbs, enemas using ice cold mountain water, woman strung upside-down from trees and such, to name a few. This guy films in a mixture of indoor and outdoor settings, sometimes marching his actresses nude through the snow, and in one memorable movie, dragging an actress nude through the snow with his 4x4. The actresses in his films are always "woman next door types" which are put through some amazing ordeals. I personally like seeing him chase a cute Asian actress (hands bound behind her back half nude and barefoot) through the forest or open countryside, his whip blazing... Nice stuff but not for the faint hearted.

Back in the day, there used to be a website devoted to Karla called the Karla Homolka Death Pool, that encouraged users to place bets on when she was going to die (but encouraged patrons not to kill her themselves as that would be cheating). Karla's lawyers eventually had the site shut down, but there's still a single page explaining what the site was about if you go to www.byebyekarla.com. They even have the old banner still there, reading "When the game is over, we all win". Obviously, she's not a real popular figure in Canada and was hiding out under an assumed name when last heard from.

Getting back to the case, the fact that Bernardo videotaped the sessions with his victims has always made me curious as their content. Deadly Innocence was a great read but rather ambiguous about what was actually shown in the home videos that Bernardo shot. But there is a second book on the case called "Invisible Darkness" by Stephen Williams. What makes this book even more chilling is the fact that Williams provides very detailed transcripts of what went on in the videotapes. Forget the fact that supposedly no one was allowed to view the videos except those directly involved in the case, and that details as their actual contents were kept secret from the news media and were even hidden from those who were attending the trial. It's very obvious this guy had access to the tapes and probably acquired copies for himself. There is no way he could have recalled such details if he hadn't seen them.

Even though the videos were publicly destroyed in 2001 and it was said at that time that no copies remained, Willams wrote in his book that the tapes might be still be available in some "underground circles" at very high prices. And even more interestingly, Williams himself was arrested for selling video that Bernardo shot of the rape of Karla's sister to HBO back in 2003, charged with publication of courtroom exhibits used in the trials.

I have no idea whether the movie will be any good, but I'm curious to see how explicit the filmmakers go in telling the story. There is a small picture on the official website (link above) of what looks like one of the victims blindfolded, but I don't see any bondage at all in the trailer, so my guess is they will sanitize that aspect of the story rather than playing it up. You know, too shocking for the mainstream audience and all those other horseshit excuses. I know the movie won't come out to Ohio where I live, but I'm sure it will turn up on DVD eventually, hopefully with extra footage. It's one I definitely plan on seeing.

Admittedly, the media here have probably influenced my thinking, even though I try to deny it. After all, I have had no problems watching Helter Skelter and other depictions of true crimes committed in the U.S.

Anyway, those of you who are interested to know what was on the Homolka/Bernardo tapes may be interested in the book, Lethal Marriage, by Nick Pron. It has more details than the Deadly Innocence book, and my recollection is that its descriptions of what was on the tapes was more detailed than the Stephen Williams book. (I have read all three, so what does that say about me?) I have attached a link in my url. However, I will caution that I didn't find Pron's book to be as well written as the other two.

A few years back, Stephen Williams released a follow-up book, called Karla, that included some of his correspondence with the attractive psychopath, along with some damning stuff about the justice system in Canada. I will check -- I'm not certain if that one is easy to find outside of Canada.

As I mentioned in my previous post, that book is more about Karla in jail and her experiences with the legal system. It describes the challenges in trying to classify Karla as a dangerous offender, after the Crown initially accepted her plea that she was a victim of battered-wife syndrome. Essentially, Williams argues that the authorities would have to find new evidence to show that Karla is a dangerous offender -- a tough thing to do when she was sitting in jail.

Anyway, the authorities clearly failed. Karla has been released from jail and is a free woman.

Also, just out of curiosity, does anyone know why if you put ZFX gimp as search words in google -- This site is listed first, and then you get like 24 pages of nonsensical site listings that all contain zfx and gimp somewhere in site description, but all the sites tie into some site that tries to get you to download god knows what!

Finally, I read an article recently about some VCR and/or DVD players that are able to play movies from any of the regions -- does anyone know anything about this and, if so, would we here in the states be able to get one of these and then view another countries version of the Howling that has the extended footage that we (alright - I) so crave?

My hunch is that they are trying to create a sensation in Canada -- where the film is very controversial -- and they will then use that buzz to try to get into the U.S. market.

Unlike the victims, Karla was of legal age, and would have been a willing participant in the bondage play (no matter what the Crown attorney's office thought).

But I suspect there's nothing like that in the movie.

I know for fact there is no nudity in the scenes with the victims (and given the age of the actual victims being depicted, I am grateful for that). There was reportedly a brief scene with one of the victims that showed some nipple, but it was cut as that type of sexual scene involving a character who is a minor falls under Canada's child pornography laws (even if the actress is legal age). And the victims' families were thinking of pursuing a kiddie-porn case to stop the movie from playing here.

As for scenes with Karla, I doubt there's any nudity or anything erotic. Laura Prepon (of That 70s Show), who plays Karla, is the only name actor in this thing. I'm betting she didn't do any nude or erotic shots.

I will stress again my concerns about this movie. It is a fascinating story, whether we like it or not. But no one should be getting excited about the crimes themselves. As D.M. said in his original post, this isn't a fictional story. I have some pretty strong views on this.

By the way, I forgot to address a point that Ralphus raised in a previous post. Ralphus was wondering how it is that author Stephen Williams knew what was on Paul Bernardo's videotapes.

The answer is that the tapes were played in the courtroom during his trial. The images couldn't be shown in the media, but reporters (and writers) in the courtroom saw the videotapes, as did the jury and others. Stephen Williams was in the courtroom and saw the tapes at that time. That's how Nick Pron got many of the details for his book, as well.

As my memory comes back to me (middle age isn't being kind these days), I think the reporters and writers in the courtroom heard the audio of the videotapes, but weren't allowed to see the video images.

Knowing what the audio said -- and by conducting off-the-record interviews with authorities who saw the images -- I think they reconstructed what was on the tapes.

This shima planning seems to have some potential. I was intrigued by the hot light bulb idea! Does anyone know if insects have been used by this guy in his work?

The cast and crew will be in Toronto on Monday for a publicity event -- except for Laura Prepon. She is filming That 70s Show in L.A. and will participate via teleconference.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. As I mentioned in December, we are in a federal election campaign here in Canada, with voting day on Jan. 23 -- the first Monday after the movie opens on Friday, Jan. 20. My not-so-fearless prediction is that this will become an election issue of some sort, even if it is only politicians saying they are disgusted by this movie.

Anyway, the story I was trying to link says that theatre owners in Canada are only requesting small numbers of prints of Karla. The story suggests the audience for the movie is rather small.

A preview for the film Karla, which chronicles the horrific sex crimes of Homolka and Paul Bernardo, was shown to reporters in Toronto today.

The movie shows Homolka being physically and psychologically abused by Bernardo, and it's possible someone unfamiliar with the real story might feel sympathy for her.

The movie does not include any nudity as per a request by lawyer Tim Danson, who represents the families of Homolka's victims, Leslie Mahaffy and Kristen French.

But it also doesn't pull any punches in the brutality of their killings.

The movie opens Jan. 20.

Here's a question on a totally different subject: How would GIMPers say the ZFX movie, Vacum, rates in comparison with the overall ZFX catalogue of movies. Is it average, above average or below average?

Hey all - I am searching for a way to get a hold of BDSM videos by Erotix Videos, such as vids from the "Heavy Fantasy", "Pleasure & Pain", "Power of Pain", and "Extreme Torture" series. I have been looking online, and have only found sexvideoall.com that seems to carry a few compilations (see link). Does anybody (specifically our german friends) have any idea how I could get a hold of titles from erotix?

Vacum was released I think at the same time as Miss Ballista and 666 and Underland (or close therein). For me it kind of got lost with those other titles. Tabitha Jordan looked great in a stretch-workout outfit, and Lisa stops in for the latter half of the movie. There is suspension and some good ropework, along with whipping, if memory serves. But the movie ultimately seemed to lack focus, with Tabitha disappearing partway through and the Vacuum Cleaner repairman's ultimate motives apparently limited to beating and tieing up his two captives. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it does make me wonder why that one day he suddenly snaps, and just when two hot chicks walk into the shop.

I gave it a C myself. Ralphus probably has a review posted on the review site.

Regarding Karla, you've done a great job being a daily correspondent on the movie, and I really think you ought to cough up the 8 bucks and go see it yourself. In fact, go on the first day it opens. Maybe the news will interview you on TV, too. Be sure and wear your GIMP Press reporter's hat so we get lots of exposure.

SNAP is perhaps the best bondage/rape dvd ever made. It incorporates the mindwork from both the captor and the captives viewpoint. As been mentioned before the guy daydreams what we would like from the Blonde coworker or subordinate. She puts him off and angers him. Thus, motivation.

Then importantly, he attempts to force himself on her by fingering her from behind and she fights back with fury injuring him. The realism is incredible. He chased her down. Then she is tied to a gate spread wide. Incredible scene. Her mouth duct taped. She squeals very convincingly as she is molested and vibed. The sounds are very real and her expressions sell well.

She is then tied to a sawhorse face down and anally raped. Also her expression and sound convey a realism unsurpassed. The video goes somewhat downhill from there with scenes less effective. I found myself watching this vid in sections as I would climax through certain parts as I mentioned.

The acting is excellent from male and female. The blonde fought back in a way that made the dvd believable. The picture quality is very clear. The audio was the best as the squeal conveyed the real thing. It is comparable to Japanese bondage without the masking. I highly recommend this even though it is hard or impossible to get. If this is the last Forbidden video of its kind it is a shame because it compares favorably with many ZFX titles as well as Japanese. Really a must have.

You have also convinced me to order Vacum. I'm over-budget for entertainment expenses in January, but I'll add Vacum to the list for February's orders.

Obviously, this is one you were able to acquire before Forbidden went belly-up. But even a late review is still appreciated. We can keep on hoping for another some sort of comeback from Forbidden Video. Their website is still up, but the content is totally vanilla and boring and it's as if SNAP and those other Brutal titles never even existed, since there's not even a mention of them listed anywhere. The website they were exiled to, Bizarro Video, now links directly to Forbidden's site. Rather sad, really.

It seems that the movie is generating a lot of buzz among us GIMPERs. Like Ralphus, I picked up a paperback book about this story many years ago in a Grocery Store book isle--imagine that! I read the whole thing in one night.

I can't believe they are making a mainstream movie out of the book. Being a pessimist, I must admit that I have no illusions about the movie being a smash hit among true GIMPERs. It can't be as explicit as the book, and certainly would not depict the torture and rape scenes that were abundant in the book. The book (which I tossed shortly after I read it the second time for fear to protect my secret fantasies) was surprisingly vivid and it was as hardcore and explicit as the best bondage erotica stories I ever read.

The thing that spooked me was that this really happened! The fact that the fantastical story about abduction, rape, torture, and finally snuff, was for real made me instantly feeling guilty after reading the book and getting aroused by the explicit passages. I was shocked then, and am shocked now, and I hope other GIMPERs would be shocked too that someone actually acted out these fantasies, and that none among us would be perverted enough to do the same thing. I hope we all are sane enough to know the difference between reality and fantasies!

This being said, Ralphus, I still am eagerly waiting for the "CUT" movie to be shipped from Stray Thoughts. Well, at least "CUT" was fiction.

During the event, the actor who plays killer Paul Bernardo notes that people in Canada "have internalized this story as personal to them." He says that wouldn't happen in the United States.

Certainly, he is right when he says that most people in Canada (particularly in Ontario) are very familiar with this story, and have strong emotional feelings about it.

Like most Canadians, I am well aware of the fact that this movie is based on a true story. Indeed, that may taint my pending review of the movie -- although I'm mostly interested in the scenes depicting Paul's abuse (including bondage?) of Karla. The treatment of Karla isn't something I would feel guilty watching under the circumstances. In fact, if the scenes are any good, I suspect I'll enjoy them.

By the way, in another media interview, someone associated with this film (it may have been the actor playing Bernardo) criticized the double standards in the Canadian media. He pointed out, correctly, that Karla is often on the front page of the Toronto newspapers, because she always represents huge newspaper sales. But those same newspapers will criticize the movie for "exploiting" the case. I thought that was a valid criticism.

In particular, I am referring to the trailer for the movie about the woman and the two dogs. I have attached a link in my URL.

It's surprising to me that this woman, who is reasonably attractive, would participate in bestiality. I wonder if there's a story here... or if it's just another example of how some people will do anything for the almight Yen?

Personally, the whole idea of using animals in sex scenes is offensive to me. I fast-forward through scenes like that in movies and completely skip such passages in stories. It may be some people's kink, and I can understand its perverse appeal; I just don't share it. I'm an animal lover and it just seems...wrong to me.

Thank you for keeping us updated on Karla. The first review seem to suggest that the film was terrible. And based on the rating, I don't believe it would be GIMPERs' cup of tea. What amused me about the review was that at the end of the review, the author suggested that the studio should funnel all profits to the victims family. Perhaps a Canadian thing to do?--I don't know. But, if the movie is that bad I doubt they will make any profit. The victims families seem to have the right attitude--they want nothing to do with the film.

It is true that there are laws in Canada that prevent criminals from profitting from their crimes. So, if Karla Homolka were to write her own book (or make her own documentary) about her crimes, she couldn't collect the profits from the book's sales.

I have attached another review above, from Toronto's other alternative weekly, eye magazine. It covers pretty much the same ground as what we have already heard. The Toronto dailies will likely have their reviews tomorrow. I will check to see if there are any new insights in any of those reviews.

As for the definitive review -- well, the GIMPer's-eye view, in any event -- if all goes according to plan, I will post my review of Karla sometime this weekend. Most likely on Sunday.

While Canadians have a built-in bias against this movie, I believe it's becoming obvious that this movie doesn't stand up as a true-crime drama. That leaves only its GIMP potential, and even in that area I am beginning to have my doubts. But we shall see....

I read today and so must a lot of you that Google defied the Justice department by refusing to follow a summon supply data websites people search online. This directive was supposed to help the justice department to get a better handle on online child pornography. But of course, as we have seen here, it is pretty much guaranteed that they intend on using this information for a much broader class and genre of adult content providers.

In contrast to Google's integrity, rival Yahoo had followed the order. Yahoo had been the weakest in protecting the privacy of its users. A while ago Yahoo voluntarily censored websites that it hosted in China, to appease the government, and turned over information to the government who used it to identify and arrest dissident bloggers. I think we GIMPERs should boycott Yahoo. I encourage whoever uses Yahoo e-mail here to seriously think about switching to another e-mail service.

Aria's hot. But different strokes for different folks. And beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Notwithstanding that certain folks and beholders need glasses. There are girls I think are even hotter tho.

But really it's a good thing that people have differing tastes. Variety is the spice of life, we should embrace diversity (I'm full of cliches today). If everyone had my taste in music, certain bands would have no hope of making it. Polka would never have existed. A Grade

In my opinion this is one of Lisa and Rick's best work. Reasoning being Lisa's responses were the most realistic I've seen since Forced Entry.

Skipping past the Alien rape of sorts, one of the most exciting scene is Lisa frogtied on the couch with her vaginally and anally vibrated simulatiously. Her facial expresions reflect a tortured look and the sounds she makes are exquisite. Additionally, if you are a foot fetish fan you will see more of Lisa's barefeet than in most ZFX flicks.

In another scene, Lisa is dressed as a Hooters girl and tied and gagged in a most effective way. Then, if you are a pantyhose bondage/rape fanatic -- you will be pleased because there are not any better scenes out there including the pantyhose rip and the following crotch torment. There is also an asphyx scene and following suspension with Lisa's patented sexy cunt. Lisa has the sexiest unshaven cunt in the business and she is having it vibed out of hell in this one.

The outtakes and her commentary make it a must have in any ZFX collection -- certainly in the top 5. I also feel now though not before that Lisa Kinkaid is the best bar none! The Dirty Dreams DVD has so much variety and fetishes with good bondage and rape fantasy that any ZFXer should be happy. The picture quality is great too!

This gets a full A grade from me.

(Please note: since I saw this one in the theatre, I didn't have the opportunity to double-check my descriptions of the details, as I could with a DVD. So this review is based solely on my recollections of the movie, which I saw last night).

Title: Karla

Starring: Laura Prepon, Misha Collins, Patrick Bauchau, Kristen Swieconek and Sarah Foret

Directed by Joel Bender

It's no secret I approached this movie with some anxiety. The story -- a true-crime drama about two attractive preppies, Karla Homolka and Paul Bernardo, who tortured, raped and murdered three young girls -- has been major news in Canada for the last 15 years. Most Canadians feel as strongly about these crimes as many Americans feel (or felt) about 9/11.

Knowing all the details about the real events, I didn't know how I would feel about any GIMP-worthy scenes in this movie. How much guilt would I suffer if I did enjoy them?

Well ... I don't think I saw anything that would send me off the deep end. But there were some moments of discomfort. Oddly, for those who aren't familiar with the story, those same moments -- involving the young victims -- may prove to be the best parts of the film.

Having said that, it must be stated that the GIMP scenes in Karla -- and there are a number of them -- are all quite brief. Also, I must stress that while there are scenes where women are forced to remove their clothes, we never get to see anything.

The whole story is told in flashbacks, as prison inmate Karla (Laura Prepon, from television's That '70s Show) tells her grisly tales to a psychiatrist who is analyzing her for the parole board (by the way, the psychiatrist has an accent that makes him sound like Victor Maitland, the lead villain in Beverly Hills Cop). This dramatic device allows the movie to cut in and out of scenes pretty quickly when it wants to -- that is often how they keep the GIMP scenes to a minimum.

For example, early in the movie, Karla presents a gift to her fiancee, Paul Bernardo -- a pair of handcuffs. Bernardo cuffs Karla and gets ready to fuck her from behind (although both are fully dressed). She is saying something like, "I want you to fuck me," while he says "What if I raped you?" It's kinda hot -- but the scene only lasts a few seconds.

Same thing for some of Bernardo's early rape scenes, which he commits in a small suburb east of Toronto. We see scenes of him attacking girls who are out jogging or walking in the evening. But there's really nothing here. Bernardo will grab a girl, throw her to the ground (still fully dressed), and the scene ends.

The scenes with the three school girls who are kidnapped, raped and murdered have some potential -- but only if you can separate your mind from the real incidents.

The first victim was Karla's sister, Tammy Homolka. There wasn't much here. A form of chloroform (I forget what it was called) is used to knock Tammy out and at one point, Bernardo has Karla suck on Tammy's tits. But we don't see anything other than the top of Karla's head.

However, the scenes with the next victim, Tina McCarthy (played by Kristen Swieconek), are more interesting.

Fortunately -- at least for this reviewer -- Swieconek doesn't look anything like the real teenage victim she is portraying, Leslie Mahaffy. Even better, Swieconek doesn't actually look like a 14 year old, despite the school-girl uniform she is wearing. In fact, this actress is clearly of legal age (see picture in my URL).

The McCarthy character is locked out of her home one evening, allowing Bernardo to trick her into coming over to his car. He reaches into his car, pretending to look for cigarettes, and grabs a knife, which he then uses to threaten McCarthy and abduct her. He covers her mouth with his hand and forces her into his car.

Back at Bernardo's home, the McCarthy character is squatted on the floor in Bernardo's basement. She is blindfolded and is forced by Bernardo to strip open her clothes, while Bernardo videotapes this. She completely opens her blouse but continues to wear it, showing a bit of her tits but no nipples.

Bernardo brings in his wife, Karla, and has Karla strip down to her bra and panties (for the record, Ms. Prepon has a nice body). Bernardo has Karla kneel down beside McCarthy, remove McCarthy's blindfold, and start kissing her face, while Bernardo videotapes it.

This scene is good, but it probably works best for those who aren't troubled by the true story of the crimes involved. And, of course, the scene only lasts a few seconds.

There are also scenes where Bernardo rapes McCarthy, but the audience doesn't see it. Instead, we hear some of it, as the film focuses on Karla, who is listening to the rape from the next room. Rather than loud cries, McCarthy mostly whimpers as she is raped.

The other victim, Kaitlyn Ross (Sarah Foret), is kidnapped by Paul and Karla in a similar fashion. Kaitlyn is tricked into coming over to their car, and Paul then abducts her at knifepoint.

The best GIMP scene featuring the Ross character as the victim occurs just after she has defied Bernardo. He slaps her around and, as he is holding her head by her hair, she apologizes and calls him "master." He throws her down to the floor and, as the camera pans over to Karla, who is standing against a nearby wall, we hear -- and only hear -- Ross get raped. She is forced to call Bernardo "the king" as the rape occurs. Unfortunately, this scene had some of the most memorable lines from Bernardo's real trial (the Ross character is supposed to be Kristen French), ruining the effect for me.

The Ross character is later brought into Paul and Karla's bedroom, to watch a news conference on TV where her parents are begging the girl's abductors to release her. My recollection is that Ross was nude here, but covered up with her arms.

As Karla, Prepon had a potentially good scene near the end of the movie, although it was visually flawed. In this scene, Bernardo decides to punish her by forcing her to put on a gag and get fucked from behind (anally, I think). As usual in this movie, we don't get to see any nudity, as this scene is shot with an extreme close-up on Karla's face. As Bernardo is fucking her, he pulls out an electrical cord and also starts strangling her.

Unfortunately, while this sounds good, the picture was blurry and dark. I couldn't even tell what type of gag Prepon had in her mouth.

For those who like to see women roughed up, rest assured that Karla, the movie, has plenty of scenes of women being punched and beaten -- particularly some scenes with Bernardo beating Karla. Not my thing, but some may enjoy it.

As well, it should be repeated that the mainstream reviews of this movie are pretty accurate, in terms of the movie's cinematic value. The movie has its moments, but the filmmakers' storytelling skills seem kinda weak. Also, this is a low-budget flick, and it shows -- you can't help but chuckle at the roadside check stop that's supposed to be the U.S.-Canada border.

One last side point -- the website for this movie includes a still picture that depicts the courtroom watching one of Bernardo tapes. In fact, there is no actual scene like this in the movie.

Overall assessment: Lightly recommended. Yes, I am too close to this story, so it will be interesting to hear what other GIMPers think when (if?) this film is released in the U.S. But my sense is most GIMPers could easily wait until Karla is released on DVD. And I suspect you wouldn't have a long wait.

Personally, I'm not sure it's worth the money. Although the cover art suggests a throwback to the exploitation films of the 70s, War Victims 3 is actually a modern-day bondage movie, featuring two blondes. If you like bad acting, terrible lighting and over-inflated boobs, then you'll like this movie. If not, consider yourself warned.

A Canadian: Thanks for your very thorough review of Karla. I knew we could count on you to give us the details we were looking for. And it appears as if the movie lets us down in the one biggest category...bondage. From reading your review, it sounds like about all we get is a fully clothed consensual handcuff scene that lasts just a few seconds.

The fact that the rapes are not explicitly shown and "tastefully" filmed is not really a surprise, but it's still disappointing that the filmmakers didn't go all out and make something exploitive, because subject matter like this practically demands it. Would you want to see a movie about the Manson murders that whitewashes the actual crimes and makes him look like some sort of hero? No. In that case, and in this, show the crimes for the ugly, violent acts they are. That way, normal people can be justifiably horrified by them, and the sick fucks in the audience can revel in them. It appears as though the people behind Karla weren't brave enough to take that direction, and ultimately their film has gotten panned by every single reviewer out there.

Thees Van Kemp: I'm sort of on the fence about plastic wrap. I believe it could actually be effective, but it seems a bit artificial as an actual bondage tool. When was the last time you read about a burglar breaking into a home and binding the female victim in...plastic wrap? It just doesn't happen. Head to toe in plastic wrap does look cool, but if we're going to go that route, I prefer the mummified duct tape look.

I remember being a little surprised (I guess I should have put this in my review) when we first saw the Tina McCarthy character in the basement, and she wasn't bound. I don't think the Kaitlyn Ross character was bound in any way -- certainly not in any way that I can remember, and neither was Tammy Homolka.

So, it really comes down to those few seconds with the handcuffs. And, who knows, maybe we were supposed to think Karla was bound in that same scene where she was gagged? I don't know, I couldn't tell what was going on in that scene.

I got all three War Victim Movies from the Nexim Group. Use the link above. Even though not all three are on the main catelog page, you can simply request it in the e-mail that the website generates. As I have mentioned, if you are a boobs man, you will enjoy it. Otherwise, the only worthy scene for me was the knife play in War Victims 2. The actresses were clearly "weathered" prostitutes, and not very attractive (unless, again you like big tits). Actings are generally pretty bad.

While you are on Nexim's page, I highly recommend Criminal Women (Both Part I and II) and Torture/Interrogation In Japan (Part 2 Only, Part 1 isn't very good). The only problem is they only have upper body nudity. But, other than that you get attractive victims, variety of plots, good set and lighting, heavy torture scenes, and convincing acting. Much better value for your money.

I think I erred before when I mentioned the plot involved Kelly being taken hostage during a bank robbery. Since the title is The Jackbooth Job, it's more likely going to take place in an adult video store, most likely that Lickety Split location in Minnesota where he's shot a lot of features. I'm pretty sure Kelly and some of the other ZFX girls are from Minnesota.

This led to some discussion, and reaffirmed the unique way that this story -- after years of intense media coverage -- has become so real for many Canadians.

One of my co-workers said she couldn't understand how I could watch the movie, knowing it was based on the real crimes, which were horrific. I said it's true that the crimes were horrific, but so were the crimes portrayed in Helter Skelter, Monster, The Accused, and so many other films.

We all agreed that somehow the Bernardo/Homolka crimes have touched Canadians in a way that those other ones didn't. Of course, there could be some Canadian elitism at work here. We think Canadian crimes like this are tragic because, well, things like that aren't supposed to happen in Canada. Meanwhile, in the U.S., horrific crimes are much more common. So Canadians figure that films that profit from those crimes are OK.

I don't know... I'm not sure how to explain the Canadian response to these particular crimes, including my own response to the crimes. But I did find the discussion fascinating.

Ralphus/Travis Lee: I wonder if there should be a Q and A with Travis once the new ZFX film is released? I've seen the trailer for it, but I haven't seen enough to inspire a question yet.

GRAVEDIGGERXTRO: The movie you're referring to is Night Prowler 2, and the rape scene was with Holly Weston, who in my mind was one of the best victims in ZFX history, even though she made only about 5 movies. And I agree, it was a killer rape scene, one of my favorites, too. Hank Hobbs did some caps from it a while back; I'll start running them tonight.

I have mentioned on this list before that I am a head trip, psychological kind of guy. I like to connect with other people and try to understand them. Many things get me off, but something I really like to savor is the reactions of the bondage "subject" and speculate about what she (the real persons) is feeling, why she does what she does the way she does, and the degree to which she can divorce her real "self" from her acting "self".

Lisa Kinkaid has unusually expressive eyes, so she has really made me wonder what goes on in that pretty little head.

The outtakes to the movie "The Apartment" were a lot of fun and added to my speculations. Anyone who has seen them will agree that in the outtakes, for whatever reasons Lisa was very, very intense. The actor and Rick would be joking around, but Lisa usually looked dead serious, and she would practically leap into her scenes when Rick called for "Action."

The way she approached her scenes made me wonder about the extent to which she was just doing it for the money, versus hurrying it up just to get an ordeal over with, versus enjoying it, versus being really serious about her "craft" and trying hard to make a good movie. Maybe all of the above, although I leaned towards the latter explanation as her main motivation.

So I wonder, in your experience what has it been like behind the scenes? Can you tell us about the times the girls were bored, or were obviously just there for the money? Or the times when it was clear they were thinking the whole drama was ridiculous and constantly laughing and getting the biggest kick out of how silly it all was? Or maybe really suffering and saying, "I dunno Rick, I don't know if I can go through that again"? Or maybe getting off on it a little, and admitting it. ("Travis, I know you're going to find this hard to believe, but I couldn't wait to get back here today. I was so-o-o turned on yesterday.") Or ... whatever.

I know that this has been discussed in the past but can anyone suggest any sources where gimp worthy films can be downloaded to hard drive and then burned to disc (i.e, not streaming or video on demand)?

I live in the U.K. and it is not a good idea to buy films through the post - I know this from experience! So downloading is the only option but, like most I suspect, I'm not happy buying a film just to see it once or over a short period: if I pay for it I want it permanently.

I have tried a few sites that most here will be familiar with; Brutal Violence (now Funny BDSM), Hogtied and ActionJav.

Brutal Violence looked like it could produce but in fact I found their product disapointing: good models but wasted opportunities.

Hogtied is excellent and often has good models and ideas but is limited to one location and is consensual.

ActionJav is by a long way the best and a model of what such a site should be. They deal only in Japanese films (mostly with that annoying pixellation) but for $30 you can download 15Gb of films (approximately 12 one hour plus films). After downloading they can, with a suitable programme (I use Nero 6) be edited to your tastes and burned to disc. The later additions to their list are the best quality and suitable for making DVD's. Their advice for using their site is excellent and for Gimpers they have some Attackers and Cinemagic films.

Any guidance would be much appreciated.

For those who like to see a woman in jail who's being tortured and abused, you can't go wrong with Attackers #77 (Crazy Episode of Snake Entanglement). It's not exactly a masterpiece, but it is good, with a lot of things that work: whippings, hot candle wax, a victim hanging upsidedown in the air. There's even a live-sex show. Best of all, the star of the movie, Anjyu, is attractive.

I had seen Anjyu before, in Shark-231 (which I reviewed in October), and while she looked cute and sexy in that movie, she looks better here. Anjyu has a pretty, cherubic face, small slender body, nice natural tits and round ass. I think Anjyu may be a bit older than your typical porn star, but she's well put together. And from what I can tell, she's got acting talent, as well.

When we first see Anjyu, she and this kinda chubby guy (a partner of some sort) are prisoners in a large jail cell. I can't say why they're in jail -- the movie started with a prologue, written in Japanese, so we can only guess at the back story. But who really cares? Anjyu looks great in a sleeveless black top, a short denim skirt and high heels.

Soon, we meet the fiend who's holding them captive, a scary-looking fellow with black clothes, thick black sunglasses and a goatee (an Attackers regular -- it's the same guy from Attackers #75). He is sitting on a black leather couch inside the jail cell. Anjyu and the chubby guy (also an Attackers regular) kneel before this fiend, and he appears to be threatening them as they plead for mercy. The villain is ruthless, throwing some water into the chubby guy's face and giving Anjyu a slap to the face that knocks her to the floor.

Then, the villain makes his demand -- the prisoners are to perform a live-sex show in front of him. If I followed the plot correctly, the villain threatens to kill the captives if he isn't satisfied with the performance.

The chubby guy is reluctant, but Anjyu acquieses. She stands up to strip off her skirt, revealing thin black panties and that oh-so-nice ass. Following a brief cutaway to black, a now-barefoot Anjyu kneels down beside her still-hesitant partner and she removes his Hawaiian shirt. She then lifts off her own top and peels off some white latex nipple covers she was wearing underneath. With only her black panties left, the near-naked Anjyu tightly hugs her male companion, gently kissing his shoulders. And then it's on with the show....

The 15-minute sex show, performed on a mattress in the jail cell, begins with some passionate French kissing, followed by Anjyu kissing the guy's chest. Although the chubby guy is still reluctant, Anjyu pulls his face into her chest, and he begins sucking her tits. He quickly gets into it, slurping away at her breasts while a squirming Anjyu lets out some soft panting and whimpering.

The chubby guy fingers Anjyu and eats her pussy, and then Anjyu blows him, with the villain getting a clear view of the action. The captives then get fully naked and start fucking, beginning with the missionary position, followed by cowgirl, doggie and then back to missionary. The scene finishes with Anjyu lying on her back and the guy shooting his load just below her tits.

Admittedly, this whole sex-show thing was a little unusual, and it ran a little too long, but I enjoyed it. There are plenty of shots of the villain taking in the show, so there is always a strong sense of degradation.

Anyway, once it's over, the villain shoots a bullet into the chubby guy's head. Blood squirts out of the victim's head and onto Anjyu, and in one particularly effective shot, a big pool of blood splurts out of his mouth and lands smack dab on Anjyu's face. The big guy collapses and dies on top of Anjyu, who is covered in blood and crying.

We next find Anjyu in a cage within a cage. Still covered in blood, she is locked inside a dog cage within the prison cell, lying on her side and crying. The villain decides it's time to wash the blood off Anjyu. He uses a plastic bowl to scoop water from a large plastic bucket, and dumps the bowls of water into the cage and onto Anjyu.

We cut next to a scene that finds Anjyu standing naked with her hands bound together by a rope and tied arms-over-head to the roof. The villain comes up from behind and starts feeling up Anjyu's tits and her body. He also yanks her hair a few times to pull her head back, as he verbally berates her. He then grabs a riding crop and starts whipping her ass.

This whole whipping segment is quite long. The villain alternates between the riding crop and some other, longer whips, and there are some pauses in the action for more hair pulling and verbal abuse. Generally, this segment is OK. Some of the whippings are quite harsh and Anjyu dances around a fair bit trying to avoid the lashings. It never gets as intense as a ZFX whipping, but it's much better than what you'd find in a Dan Hawke film or most other fare.

Next up, Anjyu is bound by ropes in a standing position on one foot. Ropes are used to tie her hands behind her back and bind her arms to her side, with ropes running above and below her tits. A rope that is hanging from the roof is tied to Anjyu's right leg and used to lift her leg in the air, while another rope is tied from her back to the roof.

With Anjyu bound and helpless, the villain fingers her pussy, and then uses two vibrators -- a small one followed by a larger one -- to finish the job. Anjyu is fantastic here, writhing and shivering, and alternating between some staccato yelps, some loud yells and some stuttering. At one point, she throws her head back and lets out a few deep moans that are just perfect.

The next segment is also quite good. Anjyu is tied by ropes to the bars of the jail cell. Her arms are spread out to the sides, with her wrists tightly bound to the bars, and an elaborate rope scheme has also tied her torso and her legs to the bars. The villain takes a rope with a knot in it and sticks the knot in Anjyu's mouth. He then uses the rope to tie her head to the jail cell bars, with the knot essentially gagging her mouth.

The villain uses some lit candles to start dripping hot wax on Anjyu, particularly on her arms, her legs and her feet. Though her mouth is gagged and she is tightly bound to the cell, she lets out some muffled yelps and does just enough squirming to make this scene particularly sexy.

The villain then produces two acupuncture needles, which he pokes into each one of Anjyu's nipples, while Anjyu screams. The fiend then drops hot wax on each of her nipples, while tears appear on Anjyu's cheeks and her nose starts running. The villain removes the needles, and in one case the wax has actually formed a nipple shape around the needle.

Our final scene of torture begins with Anjyu lying on the ground, with her hands once again bound behind her back and her arms tied to her body. A rope tied to her feet goes up to a pulley overhead, with the villain holding the other end of the rope. The villain hoists Anjyu feet-first into the air, until she is dangling upsidedown. He then moves her head into the large plastic bucket, which is filled with water and was sitting nearby. Anjyu is lowered head-first into the bucket of water in a scene that's very reminiscent of Lisa's "bucket" scene in South of the Border 4. It's great stuff -- Anjyu is dunked in twice -- but unfortunately, the scene is very short and ends abruptly. The movie ends with Anjyu lying on the floor, with her hands still bound behind her back, and she is passed out.

Overall assessment: Recommended, but with a few reservations.

This film isn't perfect. In fact, it has what I would describe as "timing" issues. Some scenes -- like the sex show and the whippings segment -- run too long, while other parts -- like the dunking scene at the end -- are too short. Furthermore, the guy in charge of pixelation for this movie got a little carried away. In some scenes, I think far too much of the screen has been blurred.

I would also say this movie could have been better if it showed more variety, with a wider range of tortures. Certainly, a good old-fashioned rape would have helped.

Still, Attackers #77 is well photographed, the star is attractive, and there are some strong moments. I wouldn't spend a fortune to get this one, but at the prices available at SaveonAV.com and Video Mayhem, it's worth checking out.

Other good news is that Kelly McKay will star in Rick's upcoming title. Mr. Lee: Any thoughts on how come time has been so much kinder on her than it has on, for instance, Chandra Sweet and, more recent, Lisa Kinkaid? I mean: You can almost see Chandra Sweet falling apart when watching all of her ZFX-appearances in chronological order, and Lisa, who started out as a very hot and promising new ZFX-talent started losing her acting skills in the same speed as she gained weight. Not to mention her looks in, for instance, the last SOB-title. But somehow, Kelly McKay manages to be in business with ZFX for a longer period than Chandra and Lisa together, yet keeping up a certain freshness, that most other leading ZFX-ladies all seem to have lost. Any thoughts on how she does that?

The only one that missed, IMO, was The Incubus 2: Architect of Pain, which in spite of boasting an all-star cast (Lisa, Chandra Sweet, Monica Moore, Penelope Pace, Candi Licks and Amy Van Allen) was sort of a convoluted mess, with only Amy's scenes working for me. It seemed like Rick just threw in whatever unused footage he had available. In fact, Amy's footage appeared to be scenes Rick might have shot for a sequel to Liza Cord, which never got released.

A Canadian: Thanks for another great review. I have seen Attackers #77 already. To me, the best part was the last 20 minutes, which was really intense, once she was tied to the bars of the jail cell. Number one, it was great bondage (check out the picture above again to see how elaborately she was tied, with even her gag binding her to the bars). Number two, the hot wax followed by the needles through the tits torture was great entertainment. She was clearly suffering. And I loved the upside-down dunking. The rest of the movie I can take or leave, but it was worth the money for those last two scenes. It gives you a taste how great the Attackers series can be.

Zee-ef-ex recently posted about how intense she was in between shots in order to get into the character she was playing. If anything, I think she's developed into a better actress over the years. She's pretty reliable when it comes to giving a convincing performance.

As for the fat comment, here's a pic from the most recent photo shoot I have from Lisa. It's a few years old, but I doubt anyone has seen her since. Take a look and tell me this girl is fat.

Ralphus: You're absolutely right. "Fat" is NOT the right word to describe Lisa Kinkaid...But I stand by my observation that she DID gain some weight during her years with ZFX. And about her acting skills: again true: she did get more intense , especially in "The Apartment". But great acting, to me, makes me forget I'm watching an actress, acting intense. Good acting doesn't make me think that a victim 'looks' helpless, but IS helpless. Compare, if you will, early work from Lisa, for instance Voodoo Dolls 1 and 2, or (my favorite) Beyond Driven part 3 with, let's sat 666 part 2 and SOB part 7; and tell me again she didn't look better (and slimmer) and acting more convincing in the early days.
