Now to a much more serious topic. The recent announcement by Rick about his problems with credit card companies made me curious to learn more. I wasn't sure exactly who was behind it, so I e-mailed Rick to try to clear it up. Apparently it's not just VISA, it's also MasterCard and the issuing banks that handle them. He said that for the past two weeks, he's been unable to find a bank that will handle credit cards for the ZFX site, and that...and I quote directly here..."ZFX may be done at least as far as the web goes for the time being".

Prophetic words, those. We can thank MasterCard and VISA for using censorship in an attempt to deny adult companies the right to do business. First it was PayPal refusing to handle online credit card payments for adult material, and now it has come to this. Yes, censorship is alive and well in this country and it's getting worse.

Now there's no way the little guy can beat huge companies like MasterCard and VISA, but I know one way that we can have an impact, no matter how small. Cut up your cards and cancel your accounts. And when you do, tell them the reason you are doing so is because their company discriminates against adult companies and you don't feel that's right. Tell them you are switching to American Express or Discover, two companies that don't practice censorship. Who's with me?

It's been a little while since my last posting, but with all the controversy on the board lately about the ZFX/Visa/MC fiasco I knew I had to get in here and bring some info to everybody's attention. And to Ralphus, I apologize for getting in here so late on this, but you know how it goes. Now I'll warn you first as I have a few links for you guys (and girls!), to go and follow-up on, but please make the time, visit these links and read all the info there because it's some pretty scary stuff and I also believe it sheds some light on why these credit card companies are doing all this (also, it's easier for me to just post the links and add my own view after).

Well, to start, I want to throw my own opinion in on the subject by stating I also feel what Visa (and MC), is doing is flat-out wrong. Now whether--as Per, Iago and the others have been debating a little further down the page--what they are doing is censorship or not is not so much the issue or as important as the reason WHY they are doing it. Two very good suggestions have been pointed out and both could be valid reasons, the one being the companies doing this for financial reasons (losing money due to working with adult sites/producers of merchandise), and the second one being the company heads making moral decisions about what they want to be associated with.

Regarding the first subject, credit card companies make LARGE profits from adult-related merchandise--both online and off--and they earn way more than just a few million dollars as someone below mentioned. They earn money from both the seller and the customer alike in terms of various fees and charges for the seller (as said below, usually a varying percentage), and they also collect on CC interest rates on the customer's end; all in all, they are covered from all angles. I read an article last year that claimed adult-related purchases accounted for (at that time), approx. 2/3 of all internet sales, and while they did include a general estimate I can't remember it offhand. However, it was very high--billions and billions of dollars high. The money credit card companies lose in refunds, complaints and scam sites is relatively small compared to what they take in, and besides... isn't that just a general part of doing business in today's world?

Profits and losses? All companies deal with loss and for a company to close doors on one of its biggest sources of revenue because of it would really be foolish both financially and competion-wise; not only are you cutting your profits off at the head, but you're arming your enemy with a nice, shiny new sword to try and kill you with--UNLESS, perhaps, that is you believe your competition is going to be following your lead soon after. Also, regarding the second suggestion about the company heads making some kind of moral decision, I don't know...they very well could have. It doesn't seem smart to me business-wise, but I don't know any of these people so who knows. I guess to me it just seems that some self-righteous company prez making business decisions due to the highly moral-type of values better be prepared to lay his head on the chopping block once the company's Wall Street-type of value begins to drop. And how many of them are ready to do that?

Now I don't have all the answers, either, but the one thing I do know is that politics--Pres. Bush and his administration, to be more specific--have a lot to do with everything that is happening right now, and probably more on target, have EVERYTHING to do with what is happening right now. Is Visa censoring, and should you be mad at them for what they are doing? I don't know if they are or not, but yes, you should be mad at them. Furious would probably be an even better term, but I won't go there as the point of this post is simply to inform and let you all decide for yourselves.

However, these companies are acting like cowards, most likely spurred on by political pressure due to the current admin.'s right-wing agenda, and for that we should be mad at them. I originally hesitated to post on this topic about Visa because I didn't want to come off as a nut making some kind of off-topic (it's bondage forum, right?), anti-Bush/political rant, but it was Ralphus himself who told me "No, this info has to be up at the board so everybody can read it." So here I am.

Now I'm sure everybody who comes here to visit has at least some kind of general idea what's going on out there regarding the new government crackdown regarding pornography, or more specifically "obscenity". It's been talked about in brief spurts on the forum here for a little while now, but it really hasn't been given the attention it needs. People, it's dangerous times right now for us, and when I use the word dangerous that's really not an exaggeration--think about the old term "Sex Police" and then think about the consequences of actually having one around, one that's armed both technologically and legislatively and one that is actively searching, seizing and arresting not only people like porn producers Rob Black and Lizzy Borden but everyday people like you and I.

What happened with Rick and ZFX, as bad as it is, is not some big major disaster that just came along right out of the blue, nor is it even the first attack...it's just the latest incident in a rapidly escalating "war on pornography" led by the current Republican admin. we have in charge of our government, or the so-called (and self-titled), "Moral Party". But remember, it wasn't too far back when we were all shocked to read about what happened with Extreme Associates getting busted, and in which we're all waiting to find out what happens after their obscenity trial yet. And a couple years before that it was Max Hardcore who was being investigated and then on trial for obscenity. As I said before, with ZFX it's just the latest incident and the Gov. is trying to pass stricter new laws which will let them play even rougher than they have been up until now.

It's no secret now that after gaining office (or power would probably be a better term used here), Bush and the rest of his fundamentalist right-wing cronies had a big-time agenda to start up a modern day crusade against porn, ala the infamous obscenity trials back in the golden heyday of 70's porn and during the Reagan years. However, because of a very tragic day in American history when we found ourselves attacked by a different group of fundamentalists, this time Islamic radicals--in part due to our way of life and our FREEDOMS--Bush's crusade against obscenity took a temporary backseat so he could attend to a real issue. Not long after, though, the porn crusade was back on and at the discretion of Attorney General John Ashcroft many new laywers were hired on under direction of state Attorney Generals with the purpose of trying to snag those who they deem as outlaw porn producers, their first notable target being Extreme Associates who they set-up in some little type of sting operation.

Now I know a lot of people think, "Well, who cares? It's only Extreme Associates and they're stuff is nasty--it probably IS obscene..." Maybe it is, fine and dandy--however, I for one, as I'm sure most of you, want to determine for myself what I consider the word "obscene" to mean. I don't want the definition of the word dictated to me by some conservative and religiously-biased group of power-hungry thugs, and then I'm forced to live my life based around that same definition. More about this word "obscene" later, though. Oh, one side note about the preacher's son, John Ashcroft...he's on record as saying he believes Playboy is obscene. Playboy. How's that for a blanket statement? Nevermind Extreme Associates...I guess we see now how grand this whole scheme really is.

But back to ZFX and Visa. Knowing what the current Gov.'s stance on porn and the adult industry is, you really have to wonder how much of what Visa and MC are doing now is actually politically inspired. I'm willing to bet almost all of it is. You don't think there are Gov. agencies leaning on these billing companies, shopping cart managers, etc., to cut off accounts that transfer funds and process memberships for those who either produce or use their cards to buy adult videos, site memberships, magazines, etc.? Think of the sudden stranglehold that would be put on the adult industry/adult internet if suddenly nobody had a way to buy any of their merchandise these companies make via credit cards. How many producers would go out of business? How many sites would shut down? What would be left? The answer is simply this...Bush and his friends don't want any of it left.

And that's what they're trying to do.

Thanks in part to bills like the Communications Decency Act (S 314), certain provisions of the new Amber Alert law, the Patriot Act (yes, the PA is now being exploited and used for things it was never meant to be used for), and other backroom Washington deals being made that I'm sure we have no idea about, the adult industry and our freedom to watch, read or write what we as responsible adults want to watch, read or write about is at stake. Wow, that's some scary stuff. And in that typical right-wing mentality of bulldozing the house to get rid of the termites (though this particular bill's creator Sen. Exon is Dem.), the solution to the problem is again miles off target. But it's still chilling to read, nonetheless. It also helps us to see how the Gov. tries to manipulate laws and loopholes as a means to an end because now it's all about "protecting the kids". Nevermind that the "religious right" has always hated pornography and they've always been trying to do what they could to ban it, now suddenly it's all about just keeping the kids safe--keeping them safe from exposure to adult content and keeping them safe from all the countless millions and millions of bad people, perverts and pedophiles on the internet looking to try and find some child to snatch away (hey, those right-wingers have to play on a parent's fear somehow, right?).

And somehow, the .000001% of REAL bad people searching on the web for a child to actually harm suddenly becomes all of us, ANYBODY who goes online and views adult material of any sort. That has to be what they're thinking, right? If it's not, then their solution doesn't make much sense, does it? If their concern was really about the children, then wouldn't the more practical solution be to require parents who let their children go online use some kind of adult filter software on their computers? Wouldn't it be easier to make the parent responsible for what the child does or does not see when they surf the web? Why do I suddenly have to be a part of that equation by giving up my right to watch consenting adults perform an act in a video?

These filter programs are everywhere, there are better ones coming out every year and just think of how many taxpayer millions it would save us in the end. But no, that's not the answer--the ONLY solution has to be to just get rid of all internet porn entirely, hold EVERYBODY accountable by taking away one of their basic liberties and then enforce it all by slapping violators with 2-year prison sentences and/or $100,000 fines. And that's how you know when they say "We're doing it for the children--" that they're lying thru their teeth. It's part of their agenda now to get pornography banned, using whatever means they have to, just as it's always been part of their agenda.

As I understand it, the bill is currently being held up due to being, guess what...unconstitutional, but how long is that going to last? It's an easy enough matter for Sen. Exon to go back, trim a couple pieces here and there and then re-submit the bill again in a slightly watered down form. And who's to say it won't pass the second or third time around? A little change can go along way, you know.

Remember before when I mentioned I'd be getting back to the word "obscene"? Well, that's one of the things some of our hard-working, rights-stealing politicians in Washington are working hard on changing, and the reason for that is because Washington is finding out too many of the people they're filing obscenity charges against are getting those same charges tossed out by a judge or jury and their intended "targets" are free to go home because for some reason it's hard for the Gov. to prove just exactly what "obscene" really means. Sure, they have their stupid "lewd, appealing to prurient interests" definition, but for some reason that doesn't cut it with juries and they don't bite on what the Gov. is baiting the hook with. I myself tend to think it's because we as Americans don't want to be told what we can or cannot view, and we're basically telling them to stuff it.

But the right-wingers won't let something like that stop them from moving forward with the agenda...gotta keep marchin' on no matter what! So now they've come up with the brilliant idea to remove the term "obscene" completely in order make their job easier and have it replaced with "indecent" (though an alternate bill wanted to use the phrase "harmful to minors"), because when it boils right down to it, doesn't it sound like it would be a lot easier to prove something is "indecent" than it would be to prove something is "obscene"? Now after reading those two links, it makes a little more sense (to me, anyway), why Visa and MC would do what they're doing, but I still don't approve of their actions; again, I think they're acting cowardly and because of that I don't plan on using either of them anymore. Whether I'm right about the reason or not, I choose not to use a credit card service that is going to dictate to me what I can and cannot use my card for. As regular readers of this forum might know, I have been involved with a friend in commissioning custom bondage videos focusing on very tight bondage (specifically breast bondage - taut purple globes is the look we want, and nipple bondage/torment as well) and other bondage/torment following scripts that I put together. We have had several done, with varying degrees of success in getting the effect we want.

We have decided to pursue another custom with the producer that we consider to have done the best job, and I have put together a set of scenes and overall plot for a video. Basically, it involves a college professor (we have male and female options for this role) who is a known sadist who has two hottie students come to him for help in passing the course, and he/she puts them to compete in bondage trials in which they compete against each other with how much pain they can take, tied-tit tug of war, etc, where one of them will get a passing grade, and the other will get nothing except the memories of the torment (this script is not written in stone, just something to work with).

I come to this board to ask if there is anybody here who would be interested in going in with us on the video (i.e. another person willing to fund half of the costs). Obviously anybody so willing would have an equal input in the scripting, casting, etc. of the video and would get the DVD, video CD, and pics CD of the shoot. The approximate share of the amount would be about $1,000 to $1,100 (if more than one person is interested, that amount would be split accordingly).

Maybe I've just lived too long to be too worried about pornography. I've seen all the ills of the world blamed on comic books, movies, music, the internet, and now porn. Last I'd seen, the world didn't improve when the censors attacked each of these activities. Taking violence out of Saturday morning cartoons didn't produce pacifist kids. Getting rid of porn likewise isn't likely going to make the world a better place (the terrorists we're worried about aren't big porn consumers). The thing I didn't find any information on in the Frontline piece is a definition of what the problem is. There are people producing porn and people watching it. So what? If we're going to start putting people in jail for producing images somebody doesn't like, I'd like to start with the people splashing paint on a canvas and calling it art. It seems awfully ridiculous that somebody can go to jail for showing nasty sex acts, but it's perfectly okay to show people being murdered every day on television shows and in the movies.

I don't need a government agency to control what I can see. I'm an adult. If I don't like something, I'm mature enough to avoid it. I'm very good at changing channels, avoiding websites I don't want to see, and don't buy magazines I don't want to look at. I don't need to see my taxes wasted protecting others who aren't mature enough to avoid what they don't want to see. Every time a censor starts choosing what we see, we lose control of what we can see. I've seen censors banning "Huckleberry Finn" and "Romeo and Juliet". The Taliban were very religious and very good censors, but nobody seemed to like how they acted. I don't like the hypocrisy of bringing those same sensibilities to America.

It is, however, perfectly legal to tell them they have to comply with the new law now that it is extant. If that means removing material that no longer complies with the law, then that is legal. In terms of age verification, however, that is iffy ground. If proof was legally obtained, I don't think changing documentation standards legally would be able to void out the previously obtained (to legal standard) ID, especially if the standard used (ie drivers' license or birth certificate verification) is considered standard proof for other purposes (such as purchasing alcohol or obtaining a state identification document). Part of the problem with lawyers (and particularly government lawyers, who really don't care one thing about billable hours) is that they can threaten anything, and only a challenge from your own lawyers can defuse that threat. The threat doesn't even have to be legal. If you don't have the legal power to offer a court challenge to it, you risk all sorts of things. How many adult producers have been threatened with legal action, or even been arrested?

Lawyers. We need them. But we don't need to love them.

Well, allow me to clarify that: I do agree that Bush, given his druthers, would probably do the things you (and the quoted authors in your post) have ascribed to his desires. Luckily for us we live in a republic, and not a dictatorship. Bush cannot by Imperial decree make the things in your post happen.

Bear in mind that I do not say he cannot make these things happen. He is the President. His power extends from his office and through his cabinet to many agencies, key among them the office of the Attorney General. But he still has to get any new measure approved by the two houses of congress, and any measure passed therin must weather scuitiny by the Supreme Court to have any force.

If you want to keep a muzzle on Bush, voting him out of office is not the only alternative. He's tough: He already won one election where he actually lost the popular vote. He also has a major advantage in that a lot of Americans don't want to "switch horses in the middle of the race," as the saying goes. Plus, I'm sorry to say, Kerry is a bit of a wuss, and I don't think this is the time when Americans will get behind someone whose entire campaign seems to be based against bashing his opponent (always a sign of weakness) and invoking the Ghost of Christmas Past (resurrecting Clinton's policies).

No, I think the most practical way to manage Bush is to pull his fangs. Elect Democratic representatives. If the dems control the houses of congress Bush will have a hard time crimping our free speech. In fact, he'll have a tough time doing anything that is not the will of the people, since the Dems will oppose him on anything that is not manifestly the will of their constituents.

I am the first one to bemoan the tidings of the loss of our free speech and the dark cloud of censorship(growing nearer) on the horizon. But our system works. We just have to make the system work for us. Our whole political institution is based on conflict. Put the dems in charge of the houses of congress, and let the President remain a Repulican (for now). It'll keep things working. Right now, unless something bad happens in the next 8 months, I don't see Kerry unseating Bush. Time to go to plan B, my brothers and sisters.

However, he's the man in charge, and he has the power to either sign or veto any bill that his fellow Republicans put in front of him. We've seen what has happened to our freedoms in just 4 short years since he was appointed President, and the way the government is now going after porn left and right, something that was basically ignored during the 8 years when Clinton was in office. And the trend will continue at the present rate if Bush is allowed to remain in office. As for Kerry, he'll get my vote if I feel he has a chance of beating Bush. Or Wes Clark, I don't care. Iago, you're no villian by any means for just stating your opinion and nobody's going to smack you, either, but your solution of "defanging" the President by leaving him in office but then electing Democratic rep.'s sort of seemed to me like turning a blind eye to the whole situation. Now, not that it would be impossible for something like that to happen, but would it? And even if it did, how much damage would the right-wing cause before we were able to start getting rid of them by vote as you suggested? And while your point about the President having to go through Congress first is true, your posting made no mention about one of the main troublemakers in this mess--the AG John Ashcroft, appointed by Bush himself--who, unfortunately for us, does not have the same restrictions as the President does. And since pretty much all of the candidates left in the running are claiming John is out once they're in, then I really have to side with the observation Ralphus made--ABB-04. Keeping Bush in office is the same thing as giving Ashcroft more rope to hang us, and I personally don't want to be swinging in that noose, if you know what I mean.

Now I did mention Ashcroft briefly in my earlier posting, and perhaps I focused on the "Bush, conservative, right-wing" talk a little more than I should have (though they are the underlying reason), but Ashcroft is not to be overlooked in this situation--he's a single-minded man with dangerous powers and a fanatical zeal, and HE is the one we have to watch out for...Bush is just a figurehead for the conservative religious right. And I don't think the best way to deal with this particular snake is to defang it but to cut off its head and kill it...Bush does need to be voted out.

I did not say that I was a huge fan of Bush at the moment (Of course, I also didn't say I wasn't). I do think that realistically Kerry is going to have a very hard run against Bush, especially if Bush pulls some feel-good rabbits out of his hat this year. It certainly won't hurt him that the economy finally seems to be recovering. So, faced with the likelyhood of Bush in '04, I suggested alternatives to get around his influence. Perfect? Of course not. But they do seem, to me, to be the best options we have at the moment.

This is a tough thing for me. The past few years have torn me in different directions. RALPHUS' EYEWITNESS REVIEW: "DIE CASTING"

Die Casting is the fifth film from Eyewitness Production, and the fourth to star the luminescent Olivia Simon, who is arguably the most beautiful woman working in this profession today. I would probably pay money to watch her sit down and read the telephone book, but fortunately the guys at Eyewitness had a much better idea for her in this film.

This time she's cast as a paid escort who enters the home of two men and is duped into believing that they are movie producers, specializing in softcore erotic films. This news gets her excited and eagerly hoping that they might cast her in their next film. Realizing they've got a perfect opportunity to take advantage of her, the men suggest that she audition for them right now, starting by showing off her tits. Then they persuade her to let them take bondage pictures, tying her wrists behind her and her ankles together, using those plastic zip-ties, like what was used on her in Deadly Laundry. It isn't until they tie a gag into her mouth that she starts to realize that their intentions aren't exactly innocent. But she can't do anything about it as they fashion her bonds into a tight hogtie, and sit back and look at their new victim helplessly bound in the middle of the room. They are about to have some fun with her.

They hold a knife to her throat and threaten to kill her, then they cut off her ankle ties but leave her hands tied behind her. She is regagged with a cloth stuffed in her mouth and zip-tied around her neck. While one man holds her down, the other burns both her tits with a lit cigar, clearly simulated but still exciting. Then her panties are cut off and one man rapes her (simulated again) while the other ties a line around her neck and tortures her by strangling her at the same time. Great stuff.

After they're done with her, they tie Olivia to a chair in a unique way, with each wrist zip-tied high up onto the back of the chair. Her knees are bent sharply and her ankles are corded to the back legs of the chair, leaving her pussy open and exposed. As chair-ties go, this one is one of the best I've seen, and it looks really uncomfortable. The cloth is left stuffed in her mouth, although I would have tied it in better than the men did.

The men decide to call up another girl from the escort agency, this time a leggy blonde played by Chelsea Poiré. Upon entering the room, she screams as she sees Olivia tied up but is swiftly grabbed by the men and tied up and gagged herself. They open up her top, exposing her large breasts, and pull down her panties. Then she's given asphyxiation torture for several minutes as a plastic bag is tied around her head and she struggles for breath. She passes out and we hear Olivia crying and gasping as she thinks her friend is dead, but it's not time yet.

The men decide to hang both the girls, and even have a contest to see which one will last longer. They leave Olivia tied to the chair but turn it around so she has to watch her friend hang. Meanwhile they ready Chelsea for the ordeal. A belt is added around her knees, and her elbows are then tied together behind her, as well. After slapping her awake, she is forced to stand on a small stool and a noose is tightened around her neck. Her gag is removed and the stool is pushed away, and she is slowly hung until she is no longer squirming, another typically fine illusion from the company that makes the best hanging vids around.

Finally, we get see more of Olivia, and she's given the same treatment, hung by the neck as the body of her friend now hangs limply beside her. Olivia struggles but there will be no rescue for her, and eventually both girls are left hanging until they are still. The men watch and then shake hands and congratulate themselves for another job well done.

If I have a criticism of the tape, it's that it loses momentum as soon as the focus is taken off Olivia and onto the other girl. While she has a nice body and is decent enough looking, Chelsea is no Olivia Simon, and her scenes didn't have nearly the impact that Olivia's did for me. For over 20 minutes, we see Olivia only in the background from far away, or in a couple of split-second reaction shots. If it were up to me, I'd have completely nixed the other girl and just devoted the entire tape to Olivia, like they did in the much better Deadly Laundry. But it's hard to fault a tape that hits so many high points, and even those who don't have the hanging fetish should find something to like here.

Usually, I can block out the other girl, but the director kept cutting back and forth between them, and I found that annoying. Do they think they're actually making a real movie here?

Besides that, it was mostly bad acting, a silly, predictable story and the same kind of boring whipping that I've seen in the past from B&D Pleasures. zee-ef-ex brings up an interesting point about the board being boring cause of not enough zfx material. Obviously he means NEW material, cause zfx has a large library built up over the years. I don't agree that the board is boring because of that, but the thought that occured to me is: this really isn't just a zfx board anymore? And hasn't been for awhile.

Above it says 'This forum is devoted to discussion of extreme bondage video, namely ZFX Productions, emphasizing the fantasy aspects of extreme bondage.' But the 'namely ZFX Productions' doesn't hold anymore. It started out that way, but we talk about way more producers than that.

Scribbler: I agree with your comments about this board being more than a ZFX board. Back when this board began nearly 5 years ago, ZFX was putting out a lot more tapes than they do now. But with last year's meager total (one all year) and this year's trouble with censorship with MasterCard and VISA, who knows when we might see another ZFX release? I think The Gimp was correct when he made the board an all-inclusive Extreme Bondage Video Forum, which allows us to take the discussions in other directions than just ZFX. I do think that just about everybody here is a ZFX fan, and they certainly are the epitome of extreme bondage producers, at least in this country.

I already asked Gerard if he would let me review Punishment PT for the board; we'll have to see what he says. I've also got a few older Dan Hawke titles that he sent for me to check out. So even though there's no new ZFX right now, there's still going to be lots to talk about. And I know you guys watch the tapes, too. Let's hear some other comments about some bondage, torture or rape vids that you've seen. This board belongs to all of you. Talk it up.

Maybe it's the curse of the board or something, but Rick stopped releasing on a regular schedule pretty much as soon as this board started. He released Ballista and a few others last. After that we went more than a year without a single release. Since then I don't think there's been a year with more than 2-3 releases, though I might be wrong. This is not a comment about Rick; I have no idea what sort of things have been taking his time the past few years. Certainly the streaming and digitizing of flicks has taken a bit, for instance. He also spent a year shoveling against the tide with his lawyer versus pirates.

That brings us to another issue: One of the neat things about this board is that the actual producers of some of these tapes come here to share their views and ideas, which I for one find pretty nifty. Rick used to pop in all the time, but now we just see him once a quarter or so.

It all just adds up to the fact that this place is very different from the old days. This used to basically be Rick's house, but now it's an open forum.

That's a good thing, since it introduced us to the folks that did Black Market Bondage and several other very good vids (was it Wicked?), and some of the other producers here seem to be getting good reviews as well. It lets us have a community where we can interact with similar-minded people and save ourselves the pain of yet more wasted money of bad, bad video. Bad videos are the curse of the uninformed.

So yeah, we're different now, but we're also more diverse, I think. It's a nice effect.

On a slightly more serious note however, I have to say that I much prefer this talk over the political talk. I usually come here to indulge my fantasies and get away from Reality. Reading about this person or that person's particular political views and conceptions or misconceptions isn't my idea of fun, fantasy or escape from Reality. Possible debate on politics is even further from what I would consider as relaxing...

I will say one last thing in regards to that, picking future leaders of a country based purely on whether he has a pro- or anti-porn tendency without regards to other issues is foolhardy. I myself would dearly hate to see that type of sexually oriented films go back into the underground. However, I would hate even more to choose a bad president just to keep it in the open. That said, not one of the alternatives to Bush has said what they will do to help this country. They have only tried to win by trying to ride the "I hate Bush" bandwagon. I find this utterly deplorable. And if it wasn't the "I hate Bush" thing it was all about how much worse the other Democratic candidates are than they were.

If you can't do better than namecalling and you cannot show me a sound plan on how you are going to make things "better" then don't bother trying to get my vote. This goes for both parties equally. I don't play favorites when the future of a country is at stake.

Ralphus - Major thanks on the review of the new EWP video. I've been eyeing that for quite some time but had been holding off since the previous video wasn't up to the calibur of "Deadly Laundry." I actually came back here tonight because I had a legitimate question pertaining to the forum topic (ZFX), but I decided to clear something up instead as I see my earlier posts have caused all kinds of unhappiness amd misery on the board. And Ralphus, you were partially responsible for getting the ball rolling on all this, too...don't begrudge the "political talkers" who chose to speak up after. *L*

First, to cause any kind of disruption was sincerely not my intent, so I deeply apologize to those who seemed to have been bothered greatly or who had their fantasy forum thrown into chaos by my "reality" posts. However, let's be clear on something, people. I was not talking politics for the sake of talking politics...I was talking politics as it relates to the interests of THIS forum. As in us NOT being able to buy the bondage films we come HERE to discuss. I thought that made a difference. The subject came about because of the angry ZFX/Visa talk on the forum, not because I was trying to get some kind of left/right debate going. If someone feels the need to throw in an opinion--good or bad--on the things I said in any of my posts, fine and dandy...just make sure you're referring to them in their proper context.

Now when I came here tonight I had no intention of adding anything regarding my earlier posts, but after reading SB's thoughts some things came to mind...and don't worry, I'll keep it short this time. To begin, concerning the "pro/anti-porn tendency" comment (and let's not forget foolhardy!), I made no mention of any other issues I might have with our current leader (of which I DO have a lot), because they don't pertain to this forum. In other words, I was trying to keep my posts somewhat topic-related. I'm not the person posting about this candidate or that one being bad, the war on terror or (gasp!), the frightening and most dangerous future ahead for the country. As if the Republicans are the be all/end all authority on how to deal with the war on terror. Holy shit, it's a good thing a Democrat wasn't President on 9/11 or else the nation would be nothing but a burned-out ruin by now and the few of us left alive would all be speaking Muslim. Give me a fuckin' break already.

Now don't get me wrong, I don't have anything against anyone here stating their opinion--POLITICAL or not--as I understand that if I don't like what I'm reading within, oh, say the first couple sentences, then I can just skip ahead to the next posting. After all, why keep reading something if you don't like what you see? Seems simple to me. I just thought it was a little backward for someone to say something like:

That does relate to this board in the sense that we, as visitors to the Gimp forum here, do have a common interest that is to many people something considered outside the norm, and so those freedoms I just mentioned should be ideals that are important to us--and not just because we like bondage movies, either. They should be important no matter what. Foolhardy? I hardly think so.

Isn't that what makes being an American so special--that concept of these special freedoms we Americans are suppose to have in this great nation or ours? If not, then why bother? Living in a big, safe country doesn't really seem so special to me if it's made so you can't do anything in it--makes me feel like the 2 years I spent on a little Army base in Germany several years ago thinking I was doing something really great was really all for nothing. Know what I mean?

So, SB, if you--or anybody else reading the forum, for that matter--did not "enjoy" my posts I apologize again, but you know what...you weren't really suppose to. That's not why I was posting. Rick and I exchanged a few e-mails, and he told me that the Department of Justice just rehired federal prosecutor Bruce Taylor, a guy who is zealously anti-porn, to go after a number of adult entertainment companies in an attempt to prosecute them for obscenity violations. This is someone who has prosecuted hundreds of obscenity cases, and quoting from this short article linked below, "The guy obviously thinks he's doing God's work."

I searched for more on Taylor and found a long interview with him on the website for the PBS Frontline "American Porn" special that we discussed here a while back. The interview was from 2001 but all you have to do is read a little bit to find out what his agendas were then and still are. And keep in mind this is who is now in charge of going after porn in our government. He now has the power, and the resources, to do it.

What is especially scary about Taylor is that he is quoted as saying that basically all porn is obscenity and everyone should be prosecuted for it, not just the major players. Even more scary for ZFX and the other kinds of entertainment we like to watch is he often mentions bondage and torture in connection with what he called obscene. In fact, he directly mentions that he thinks the bondage and torture would be easier to convict, and he probably has good point there. While we love watching girls get tied up and having bad things done to them, such entertainment is abhorrent to a large percentage of the population, even though Rick's films are simulated and the girls are all willing participants.

Don't take our ease and ability to purchase ZFX and other vids for granted. Censorship is alive and well and growing in this country. This current regime is counting on Bush getting reelected so it can continue its onslaught on our freedoms. Things can and will come to a head if he isn't stopped.

Bad Karma was the original name of the movie that is now available on video and DVD as Hell's Gate. It looks like one of those straight-to-video low budget horror flicks, complete with the generic box cover art, something most of us would simply pass up without taking a second look. The only reason I checked it out was because I had read on Brian's Page that actress Amy Locane had a bondage scene in it, and I've always liked her. Well, Locane's scene turned out to be dull, dull, dull. But...there was another scene that nobody had even mentioned at the beginning of the movie, and it made the rental well worthwhile.

A sexy blonde girl goes into a garage restroom to change her clothes. Unbeknownst to her, she is being watched by a bad man who works there. After watching her strip completely naked as she changes, he barges in and chloroforms her, throws her in his van and drives her to a house out in the country. When we see her next, he has her tied naked to the metal headboard of his bed, and he gives her some electro-torture to "jolt" her memory (that should work). It's a great mainstream scene in a real stinker of a movie, especially because the lovely victim has a killer body and is naked throughout. If only the rest of the movie was as good as the first ten minutes...

BTW, for some humor, read a few of the user comments on the IMDB link above. Some people praised the opening scene, others were repulsed by it. Prudes!

This film is still in selected theaters; it's not a major studio that's putting it out so don't expect it to come to smaller cities. It's not playing where I live, for instance. But it's one to look for eventually on DVD, and I personally can't wait!

So I roughly estimate that we have about 375-400 lurkers who visit here daily, and probably many, many more than that over the course of a week or so.

This is a message specifically for your lurkers, and you know exactly who you are:

What are you waiting for? You think you're not important enough to contribute? Privacy is not an excuse since this is a totally anonymous forum, so I don't want to hear that.

We have had over 200 hits since I posted the survey and so far 4 people have responded. That's truly sad. We have just a handful of regulars and apparently everyone else is either too lazy or else just apathetic.

Strangers frequently e-mail me to ask my opinions about various tapes, but the funny thing is, I never see these people on the board. I run into so many people who aren't shy about discussing their ideas and opinions to me in a direct e-mail, but who apparently can't quite get over the phobia of posting to a public forum with the exact same ideas. 

My question is...why?  No one knows who are, and if you don't want to leave an e-mail nobody could contact you even if they could. Is it because you feel you might feel strange or alone in discussing your fantasies?  Go back and read the archives.  We've been here nearly five years and we've had a great variety of opinions and bizarre ideas, and nobody criticizes anyone for it because...here's the shocker...they have the exact same thoughts! 

Except for maybe kiddy porn or tying up guys, anything goes on our site and no one should ever feel the need to be shy or censor themselves in any way. I like the insights from producers of material that I want to see, since you see it's all about me, see. This forum has opened me up to new entertainments that I never would have found on my own. That's probably saved me a thousand bucks over the past four years, no joke.

Multiple victims - not important. One of my all-time favorite ZFX vids is Violation of Vicki Fix. Only one victim - the amazing Penelope Pace - but a great performance w/ some of the best torture scenes. It's enough to make Frida reconsider her aversion to cheerleader flicks. Better one victim doing several great scenes, than multiple victims doing mediocre scenes (and there have been too many of the latter- esp. by other film companies)

Stalking of the victim -No. That's what fast forward is for.

Chloroforming - No.

Tight, uncomfortable bondage -- OK, but only if used in connection with the other items below. As long as the victim is helpless, it need not be particularly uncomfortable. It will be sufficiently uncomfortable once the torture implements are brought out.

Effective gags -- BIG NO. Let them scream and beg, otherwise it's obviously faked. IMHO, the hardest thing to find are vids where there is enough realistic screaming, begging, suffering. Soooo many scenes ruined by silent victims, who, under the circumstances, should be screaming their lungs out (e.g. the whole of SEED). It became unintentionally funny during the SOB series, where the villain keeps shouting "Talk, bitch", and the victim is gagged.

Breast bondage/torture -- Absolutely indispensable. Big boobs much preferred; more to torture. And no, 'rough handling' doesn't cut it. We're talking whips, crops, presses, electrodes, and more.

Pussy torture -- Yes, that's good too.

Anal penetration -- As a necessary adjunct to the immediately preceding two items, yes.

Rape scenes -- Ok, but not a priority. And not too long, pls.

Science fiction/fantasy theme - Not really, though some superheroine stuff can be fun. Practically all the good superheroine matter I've encountered are in written story or art (viva Stanton) form.

Realistic theme - not important. Realistic suffering is much more important.

Other (you name it) - Two musts-- Non-consensual. NO SNUFF.

I confess: I've been a lurker for a while now. But feeling really guilty after Ralphus' comment, I'll do my best to contribute from time to time.

I had two major reasons not to participate in the discussions. First: English is not my mother tongue. Second: I only know ZFX from it's website and the few tapes I managed to find. In fact, I spent most of the time searching for other ZFX-tapes across the old continent. Without much success I must say. Buying them online is not really an option. You're never shure wether the tapes pass customs or not.

Most of all I dream to find some kind of mainstream film with long and heavy torture scenes. I would love to see a naked Winona Ryder tortured in a 30 minutes scene in 'the house of the spirits'. Or an episode of the TV-show 'Alias' where Sydnew Bristow/Jennifer Farner is abducted, stripped and electrotortured for information.

"What do you think is most important to you in your ideal bondage/rape video?": Hmmmm? Here are my few chosen points:

Acting ability - Gotta be convincing enough!
Stalking of the victim - a foreplay to rape.
Tight, uncomfortable bondage - promotes more struggling - not the "fighting wildcat" kind, but more of the helpless damsel-in-distress type.
Effective gags - Definitely! Muffled protests, whimpering and grunts!
Anal penetration - A must-have. Adds to the fear/protests from the victim.
Rape scenes - Tightly-tied-scantilly-clad & rough.
Forced blow jobs - Always!(the "wet & sloppy" kinds)
Electric shock torture - Last on my "most important" list
Science fiction/fantasy theme - As long as it's not too corny.
Realistic theme - A definite, though helps in the suspense.
Other - I would add to the list "Multiple Stalkers/Rapists" - kinda like bringing all the above together at once for one victim. And more emphasis on a victim who is more "helpless, pleading and struggling" than one who is continuously growling, fighting or defiant regardless of all the above points.

As in my previous (but few) posts, I am a 70's-early 80's HOM Fan and enjoy those clips/reels & vids depicting most or some of my "most important" choices. Many ZFX movies I've seen fill those points, though haven't found that one vid anywhere that really, really pushes these points altogether. I've seem to have many in my collection that I could "piece together", though a one-theme-one-setting scene would be more of a preference to me. Regardless, enjoy!

Chloroforming: I like the knockout stuff if she's still knocked out during the rape. If she wakes up just when things get going then I think it defeats the whole purpose of knocking her out. I'd rather see force used from the beginning.

Tight, uncomfortable bondage: I can't get into it. I need the sex. If she's tied in such a way I can't fantasize about doing her then I fast forward or stop watching.

Effective gags: Gags ruin the whole oral sex thing doesn't it? Except for ring-gags. ZFX seems to use those effectivly. I love ring-gags.

Breast bondage/torture: What's in it for me? Make it quick just to beat the girl down before sex.

Pussy torture: No interest.

Anal penetration: Yeah baby!

Rape scenes: Without a doubt. That's what it's all about for me. Many a ZFX film I've seen without a rape scene leaves me feeling cheated. Female on female rape scenes *DON'T* count.

Forced blow jobs: Again, Yeah Baby!

Whipping scenes: No interest unless it's quick. Many ZFX and most bondage vids have totally silly "whipping" scenes. And now, after Passion, sillier still.

Electric shock torture: Never used to like it but ZFX has done some good stuff.

Science fiction/fantasy theme: I've bought shitty vids just because it had this theme and liked it.

Realistic theme: Not too real!

Other (you name it): COSTUMES! Cheerleaders, Maids, Schoolgirls, Sexy Witches, Nurses, Disney Princess'... When the clothes come off too soon it can ruin the vid for me.

The number one thing has to be the rape scene for me. Bondage without sex? What the fuck is that all about anyway?

To the best of my knowledge, there is no way you can purchase ZFX vids from european retailers (am I wrong?), but regarding online purchases (directly from ZFX or from other US stores), tapes or dvds DO pass customs EASILY, as long as the parcel is not too big : a 3 to 4-dvd parcel ALWAYS pass, with no extra taxes (trust me...)

The closest thing would be the torture scenes in some of those glorious oldies, like "Poor Cecily", or "Punishment of Anne", and maybe the Ilsa/Olga/Greta exploitation flicks. Perhaps there's a good prison flick in there as well. Probably the best source for stuff like this is Oslo Netfetter's wsimd.com, where he provides compilations of whipping scenes from mainstream movies. Some of it is really great stuff. However, he covers only whipping. There used to be another, similar site for stretching rack scenes, but that's rather limited. Sadly, there is no equivalent supplier for electrotorture, heat or other methods of torment. Unless someone wants to make a go of it a la Oslo. Maybe Hank Hobbs, with his bondage database, should give it a thought. With ZFX on a semi-hiatus, we need to consider other sources of inspiration (and I don't mean just video either -- artworks, pics, poser, stories -- we gotta get 'em where we can, and any 'tips' for sources would be welcome).

(Aside to Hail: I respectfully disagree that acting ability is not that important, as long as she can scream and moan. To some extent, yes, but the half-hearted, unrealistic acting in certain scenes can be a big minus. See, e.g. Candy Lick's ability to respond to being whipped in Incubus 2 by showing what might best be described as 'mild annoyance')

Bondage without sex? What the fuck is that all about anyway?

Bondage without sex is like pizza without cheese.

BDSM and all that entails is foreplay to me. If it doesn't end in intercourse why bother? Now that doesn't neccessarily mean that if I'm engaged in BDSM at a dungeon or party that the sex has to occur there. The sex COULD take place at a different time and in private.

I've been tempted to buy Oslo's whipping scenes tapes, but he mentions that the visual quality is not very good on all of his volumes, so I've always held off. I've heard nothing but good things about the content, though.

There is a two-tape compilation of burning scenes on Stakeburner.com (listed on the Links page), and I can verify those tapes are well worth the money.

I would gladly pay for a compilation of electric shock scenes if anyone would put one together. One thing I'm going to do is search through the database on KyleShocker's list of movies with electric shock scenes (URL above) and see if I can purchase some of those movies for myself, now that I know which films have scenes. I already have collected about half the films on the list, but there's a bunch more I want to grab.

You're right about Poor Cecily and The Punishment of Anne. I've never seen a really sharp print of the former, but Punishment is now out on DVD (under the title The Image) and it's a true masterpiece with some nasty torture scenes at the expense of its pretty blonde victim. Someone needs to cap that one STAT.

Attractiveness of the victim and acting ability are the most important. The victim has to be at least somewhat attractive and I have to believe the peril that they are in.

The other things that I like to see are breast bondage/torture (or at least some major groping), whipping scenes, anal penetration and forced blow jobs.

The other stuff, if well done, can add to the experience but isn't very important to me.

One last note on multiple victims. I have rarely seen multiple victims done well in a movie. The mainstream movie, Last House on the Left was one of the few that did it well. The bad guys (or should I say good guys) use the two girls fears of getting hurt to play some interesting "games" with them.

Pussy Torture: I don't really care for pussy torture, although victims should (in general) be completely nude. If the victim is blond, her pussy should be clean-shaven. If she's brunette, the pussy should be neatly trimmed (but not bald).

Attractiveness of the victim - This seems like an obvious one, but my idea of 'attractive' is probably different to a lot of peoples'. Also, for some reason, women I find attractive in bondage films are different to the ones I would find attractive in regular life. So the answer is, of course I want to be turned on by how the victims look, but it's a hard one to define.

Acting ability - As I think someone else said, I don't expect an award winning performance. I enjoy cheesy 'porn/b-film' acting during the lead up parts, but once the action starts, all that matters is that they are believable. Importantly for me, they have to act like they don't want what's happening to them to go on.

Multiple victims - sometimes yes, sometimes no. The SOB series works great with the multiple victims each having their own distinctive scenes. I also like multiple Captors.

Stalking of the victim - Not actually stalking (which for me can be a bit boring), but a section where the women are shown 'free', and then are captured. A perfect example of this are one of my favourite campy scenes at the beginning of 'As Darkness Falls' (which I watch just for the hell of it, not just as porn) where the two girls are walking along the road and arguing. I find that a lot of fun, for some reason.

Chloroforming - the first torture film I ever bought had chloroforming in it, and I still find it pretty boring. Because it's usually so quick, I don't begrudge those who enjoy it having it put into movies.

Tight, uncomfortable bondage - Couldn't care less about most rope bondage (eg girl in chair tied up), tight or otherwise. I love rack/suspension bondage though.

Effective gags - don't care one way or the other, but I like novel gags, like big penis punishment gags, or ring gags.

Breast bondage/torture - Torture of any and all sorts is essential. I don't like the look of breasts tied up - the rope just seems to get in the way.

Pussy torture - For some reason, this is something I prefer doing, rather than watching. I can't think of a good pussy torture scene I've seen, but I can imagine some that would go well (maybe electric shocks).

Anal penetration / Rape scenes - not a big deal for me.

Forced blow jobs - Only if it's presented as being particularly degrading or humiliating. Otherwise, it's a bit of a waste of time usually. I especially don't like it if it's an obviously fake penis.

Whipping scenes - I'm hardly ever in the mood for these, unless they're made interesting somehow. I prefer hand slapping to using a whip.

Electric shock torture - Even when it's done badly, it's not bad! Probably my favourite thing to watch. The scene with Kelly Mackay being shocked in SOB is forever burned into my little skull.

Science fiction/fantasy theme - As long as it's explained. Rick, I love As Darkness Falls, but why on earth is the Captor a Monkey Man? ;-D

Realistic theme - Even if it's fantasy, it needs to ring true (I mean, a good science fiction film can seem realistic, even if you know it couldn't be real, if you know what I mean). It doesn't have to be realistic, as in possible to happen in the real world.

Other (you name it) - Real humiliation (bringing the girl to tears and beyond) is rarely done well, because it's damn hard to do. My ideal film WOULD do this well. Also, I'm big on the Captors having a sense of humour - a reason I enjoy Mad Dog's work, as well as his posting here!

Re: stakeburner, BATS doesn't appeal to me. Electro and just about any other lurid (but non-maiming, non-snuff) torture does. Hope that someone does take on the challenge of compiling non-whip or non-rack torture/intero scenes. The Hankster may be the leading candidate for this daunting task. I actually tried to convince Oslo, but he's got other plans.
