Not the usual ZFX quality, but the costumes and girls look really good.

The suspension scene with Elaine that I'm posting the pictures from had no additional torture, but she pulled it off like a champ, and it looked painful with her strung up like that.

Another classic suspension scene, maybe ZFX's best (high praise indeed), was in Guilty, where Penelope Pace was tied with her wrists over her head while Rick subjects her to beating, whipping and clothespin torment and she takes the whole thing, with barely any editing, for a solid 10 minutes or so. I would think that being suspended like that would have to be plenty painful by itself, without having to deal with being whipped and other tortures to compound it. But heck, Lisa Kinkaid has performed this stunt countless times, most notable in Ballista 2 where she's first strung up and whipped, then later hung up again and stung over and over with shocks from the violet wand. These girls really earn their money.

So in the whipping scenes, what kind of whips or other implements are you using so as to keep the actual hurt at a minimum? Are they special made? Are they Nerf? Or are the girls just willing and saying "yeah, go ahead, hurt me, i don't care, I can take it?"

Another mainstream title I want to see is Wrong Turn with the gorgeous babe Eliza Dushku, due out on DVD next month. In this one, she is cleave-gagged and tied to a bed with barbed wire (that oughta sting) and threatened with a knife to her throat. I saw a fuzzy mpeg of the scene and she does some great crying and screaming and looks hot as ever, which makes sense because it is Eliza Dushku, after all.

I wonder if Rick Masters would ever consider doing a compilation of his best suspension scenes.

I know I'd pay a few bucks for an entire video or DVD containing a string of scenes featuring atractive women hung by her wrists.

Re forced feeding- Penelope Pace's scene in Blunt Trauma-2 sets the standard. Lisa's in SOB-7 doesn't come close to its intensity (BT-2's really does look forced). It is high on my list when the DVD's are availiable.

Havig said that, I going to recommend Interludes of Agony III (which I paid $50 for and don't regret). In this case the money was worth it. The first scene with Rhiannon is definately a keeper, not just because of the great job she does screaming through the gag. Not just because of the way she really conveys a revulsion of her captor. Not even just because of how great she looks. No, you gotta buy this one to really see how difficult life can be towards our poor bondage film producers (sorry Dan, I been waiting to write about this for a while). Near the beginning, when this beautiful girl is standing tied, with her hands bound behind her. Our man Dan is removing her clothing and gagging her. She's balanced precariously on her heels, with a rope around her neck. The film is rolling.....and some fucktard next door is hammering on something. You can hear it. She can hear it. Dan can hear it. You can tell that Dan would cheerfully castrate this moron in a heartbeat, but you can't just leave models hanging by their necks. And how do you exactly explain to someone that their hammering is messing up a great scene of a girl tied and gagged? You have my sympathies, and don't worry - the scene worked out fine.

Dan: I don't know if it's just cause of my browser, but on the video description pages with thumbnails, if I click on a thumbnail with border, I get a 'page not found.' But then when I go into the URL and change the two backslashes to forward slashes, then I can see the slightly larger pic. If I'm the only one reporting this, then maybe it's only me, but this may be worth looking into anyway.

The hammering? Yeah, I noticed it, but I don't dwell on it when I watch the scene. Honestly, Dan should have stopped filming and gotten rid of that guy, but it might have broken the intensity of the scene, and I imagine it's hard to go back and capture the magic after a distraction like that.

You're probably right in your the only one who's got to watch it so far. I ordered my copy not to long after you let us know about it and still hasn't shown up yet.

If you want original ZFX-type movies, read my post from July 23 about Brutal Violence. If you want some totally bizarre and unique bondage pictures and movies, Insex has a treasure trove of stuff that will take you months to see everything, as long as you aren't bothered by the consensual aspect of their work.

I saw Chase's question a ways back in the forum about women reading and posting here and felt I should respond. I'm a woman. I don't post to the Dreambook, and mostly I don't have time to read it either. I *do*, however, like the style of material discussed here and find the forum useful as an occasional resource. I understand that as a woman my interest in porn makes me a mutant, and I can deal with that. ;-)

GIMP's Dreambook is useful to me as a way of finding more of the stuff I like. It's here that I first heard of Dan Hawke, for example, (King of the crotch rope) and more recently found out where I can order some of the Bondage Classics tapes I don't already have. You guys rock!

There's something else I think you could help me with. Generally I've played with my romantic partners, but my kink is a bit specific for them. The number of videos that the GIMP guys seem to be able to sell makes me think that there must be somebody out there besides me that actually wants to DO it. At 44 years of age I'm no longer bondage model material, but really, I'm not chopped liver either. I'll say this: I've seen Lashing Liz and Bound on Blonde (at least I think it was B on B, it's been awhile), and while the models are good looking, the action is too slow for me: not enough manhandling or other action (not for long anyway); too much of model in a certain bondage position for a long long period of time. Basically, if you like a girl being tied up, then villain walking away, and various camera angles that dwell on how she deals with a particular BD position for a good long while, then you've hit paydirt. I prefer more action, so if there are any DH vids with more action, let us know, or let me know!

Earlier in this forum, I gave Dan a bit of a hard time about this one, and I don't think I did a very good job in my review. Jenni Lee is HOT in this one. She sells the scene well, and towards the end, even breaks down and cries during Dan's whipping. I don't regret the money spent on this one at all particularly because, just when I thought the video about to end, we get one more scene with her tightly bound in a shower, with the water running.

Again, I think this a good choice. So why did I give Dan a hard time? When Jenni breaks down and cries, it is from a whipping that about as undramatic as they get. I'll buy her reactions, because they really look genuine, but at the same time it looks like Dan is barely touching her. And it is very clear how careful he is not to hurt the models. The video has a small cameo by Aysis, who helps Dan to capture Jenni. Frankly, I think Dan's biggest mistake was sending her off. I think the video would have been a masterpeice had Dan stayed behind the camera, and let Aysis top Jenni.

What do the GIMP readers think? Does a good, menacing top make for a better video? Personally I would love tohave seen Aysis whipping and taunting Jenni.

I also liked Beauty Bound. The intersting aspect of this one is that the 'plot' we have is that Dan has captured a girl and is going to have his way with her. For me, Dan's presence, and his attempt at acting are more of an intrusion than anything else, but let's give credit where credit is due:

Dan Hawk is one of the best bondage riggers in the business. Period. What you are really seeing in this video is a bored looking bondage model, playing along with Dan's plot. But is the bondage gets tighter and tighter, you can see that she really had not appreciated the challenge of maintaning these tough positions. At one point Dan has her kneeling, elbos tied behind her back with a crotchrope. He enters to tie her ankles to her thighs, balancing her on just her knees. The next few minutes, IMHO are greenen. You can really see how much pain she is in, and its a great contrast to how bored she looked in the beginning. I think this one is a keeper too.

I was begining to wonder whether Jesse pulled a Mikey myself. Ralphus Yes, Shipping has taken a toll and with this recent black out, I'm sure shipping will be delayed for but a moment.

I just wanted to thank everyone in this forum for supporting the film and giving it a chance! We are awaiting a new shipment of DVD's (as I only order 25 at a time...small indie companies..you know) But as soon as we recieve shipment, I will have the remaining three orders out of the door.

Oh yes, to go back to a comment in the review about the choppy shaky camera work... It was intentional, I wanted to make this seem as realistic as possible. Who knows, If more people purchase DVD's I may be able to get the sequel underway.

I took a look at the new photos from the film. I see some things I like and some things I'm not so sure I'm happy about. Olivia looks hot as usual, and I see they have her hogtied again and they are making creative use out of one of those plastic ties again. They also have her tied to a chair (excellent!) but what's with the stuff gag? I personally hate stuff gags, where the victim could easily just spit it out, but she obediently just holds it in her mouth instead. The wadding looks thick enough that if they tied it on her, it would work well enough, so why not do that?

Looks like more plastic bag torment, and a two-girl hanging this time. I personally like to see one girl suffer at a time, so this would probably not have been my choice if I were directing. And this one is another $60 for less than one hour. Hmmmm...EWP has a pretty good track record, but I'm not sure I'll rush out to buy this one. Maybe not right away, anyway, but curiosity will probably make me fork over the money eventually.

CP QUIROS: Thanks for posting again. I agree with you about your choice of the basement scene. You chose the right version. Both were great, but the direction in the version that made the film was more dramatic for me with the handheld camerawork and the "in your face" close ups.

I'm really eager to hear what the other readers have to say about CUT when they finally get their copies. I had a head start because I had already ordered mine three weeks before I made the announcement on the board. So we should start getting some feedback from the others soon. Once the others find out that the buzz is true, I'll bet even more people will follow suit and order their own copies. We shall see.

I wanted to ask some of the regulars (or any of the lurkers for that matter) for a little assistance. I am in contact presently with one of the Insex models about doing a custom. Speaking of customs and to revisit the topic for a moment. I know someone had a solo done and I can't really remember what he said he paid but if I recall it was pretty expensive. You just need to look around. There's a porn actress (hot)who does them for $150 per 20 minutes. Another one(and this one is HOT, HOT!) who is charging $350 for 30 minutes. I'm having one done right now for free (I guess they liked my script). They are going to release (with written by "Hollywood Vamp1re" in the credits for those who just becuase they have gotten their feet wet think they know everything, to prove I'm not BSing)it on their site and all I have to do is pay the $39 buck for the DVD when ready.

So look around, you don't have top pay $1000 bucks for a solo or one with marginal content.

As far as who I'm having the others done by, I would rather not divulge that info right now. Why? Well I don't know how far back you go on the forum but anyone who's been here from the start (or just about the start) know's that I've got a lot of ideas. If it turns out well made then I have an inexpensive source to do some of these ideas. I don't want her glutted with requests that she becomes so busy that she'll not have time to do mine (which has been a problem with a few in the past...they'll do 'em but their plates are too full to the point of not accepting any new ones.)The one who's doing the one for $150.00 e-mailed me to let me know it should be on it's way soon and the reason for the delay in shooting was due to her having another shoot scheduled and if she waited for the same day she would have the benifit of a professional make-up artist. Hell, that sounds way cool to me for her to even think about stuff like that.

So, sorry Scrib, at least for right now, I feel the need to keep that to myself.

I will let you know of a couple of other ones though. Pantera is suppose to be one of the hotest up and cummers. At first I kinda thought of her as just OK but she grows on you. Your tip was correct, they had some ZFX clips and at least one of Dans clips up there as well. I've taken steps to have it removed. I also told them I will be notifying Dan, so they likely will remove it as well. This site is about as pathetic as you can get, all crap from Usenet except for a few stolen clips. Its also linked into another site, painholio.net ,which had some other really lame euro crap.(Hey I paid for a membership I may as well use some bandwidth right?=) While I'm not loosing any sleep over it (and Dan shouldnt either), as a matter of principle, I like to stomp the guts out of anyone stupid enough to steal from me. In this case however, if they remove the stuff I'll probably let them go with a warning because they are just not worth going after and I got bigger fish to fry as they say.

AvF: Thanks for the feedback on CUT. I don't think it was necessarily a red filter on the video. The picture had more of a greenish tint to me, which, as a fellow camcorder user, I know to be the result of using existing indoor light, which tends to make things a bit more green. Like I mentioned, the technical aspects of the production were perhaps the weakest points of the film. It was a student film that looked like a student film. The shakiness of the camera didn't bother me, but that aspect that can be disconcerting to some, like when The Blair Witch Project first came out and people had widely conflicting opinions as to its merits. Some people couldn't get over the amateurish look of that film and missed the genuine scares that the film generated mainly through its mood and realistic acting.

Likewise, I thought CUT succeeded extremely well in spite of its technical limitations. The acting was excellent all around, the victim was cute and the villains were strong and scary. I also love it when there's another girl who delights in watching one of her own endure bondage torment, and even laughs and cheers them on while they torture her. Reminded me a bit of the role that Rick would often have Chandra Sweet play in countless ZFX films, where she would play the girlfriend of one of the villains. And the girl in CUT, Cynthia Zimmerman, pulled off that part perfectly.

I just ordered my first Dan Hawke video, DH09: Bound & Busted. I wanted to take advantage of the sale and I was a bit too anxious to get my order in and didn't pick very well. I should have asked for your opinions first.

In short, while gorgeous and busty, the model in this video needs to be gagged before she ever gets on screen. I'm thinking she's a few fries short of a happy meal. Whatever the cause, she is frighteningly unconvincing. I could live with that, maybe, but it gets worse: she doesn't seem to have the requisite number of nerve endings in her, admittedly lovely, breasts. She barely flinches when Dan (I'm assuming it was Dan) ran a Whartenburg Wheel across her nipple fer chrissakes! You so much as point a Whartenburg at me and I hyper-ventilate.

In all truthfulness, I had more orgasms poking off to the description of the video on the website than I had while actually watching the video. That just ain't right.

Next time I'll order something with Tyler Scott in it. Yum.

The good news is that I loved Dan's part in this video. His dialog really worked for me. He also gives wonderful grope. Double yum! (pun intended) I hope that any actors he has portraying his bad guys will have similar dialog. The breast bondage and tit torture was lovely. Too bad the model didn't appreciate it as much as I would have. Sniff.

I've seen Brandy Dean perform in other vids, including another one with Dan, and she's just not that great an actress, unfortunately. "Cut" Actually I need to disagree w/Ralphus on preformances. I thought Angie did a good job and I also thought the lead male charecter did a good job. I thought he had a certain camera presence beyond that of a student film. Kinda reminded me of Edward Norton (American History X in case I got the name wrong). The other preferomances were pretty weak I thought, as none stuck out in my mind as anything more than scene dressing. But like I always say...that's just me.

Dorothy Laine does a lot of customs, but you're looking at $900 and up. She also produces her own line of videos and has access to most of the LA models that grace the top videos and websites.

Actually there was some discussion on Customs not too long ago. Mid April I believe it was. Also I'm not surprised that RR didn't mention it, as he seemed to be getting awful defensive....(I think he's a relative ;-) If you read it, you'll know what I mean (But it does look like she has eliminated the "Laundry List" way to submit a custom).

I'll get some links together and put them on the next posting (still keeping some to myself for the reasons posted before). So, don't touch that dial.

So how 'bout you? WHo you having it made by (starring?)? How much? How long? Etc?

As I said, I'm "in the proces" of having a custom tape done. At this time I'm browsing the net, mailing with some kindred spirits, thinking of what exactly should be in my tape, checking a few producers etc.

What I look for, is recreating the old HoM / early CalStar style. Biggest problem is that some of the stuff of some custom-producers I've seen is very, VERY amateuristic (to say the least). Sloppy ropework, VERY bad acting (if any at all) etc. All in all....I feel there's a long, long way to go...

Yeaugh, that is the problem with many a custom. That's why I stree to be as specific as possible. Even include some stills of the bindings you want. After all it is YOUR custom you are paying for.

Brutalviolence.com looks intriguing. Anyone out there besides Ralphus try it? It's a Danish or Dutch production. Seems that the Dutch are willing to produce stuff that almost everyone else will not (except the Japanses and Russians, from what I've seen). The women are attractive and alot of the sex looks "real".

Forbiddenvideo.com: still missing the mark, but at least they're seklling Defiance (classic 1970's "roughie") on DVD. I think one day there'll be an industry for people who want to remake all of Forbidden's vids, only much better.

Haven't seen any bogus ZFX lately in my travels around the U.S. Rick's lawyers must be twiddling their thumbs in boredom about now.

I've said it before. It should be my mantra. It all comes down to casting to make a bondage film work. The most important thing is to find an attractive victim. If the girl is cute and we feel attraction to her, then we'll want to see her get tied up and have bad things happen to her. So personally, if the girl doesn't move me, I'll have a hard time enjoying her movie.

Dream Date is being promoted as Forbidden Video's first interracial Dark Side production. It stars newcomer Velvet Rose as Susan, a light-skinned black girl with blonde and pink cornrowed hair and a studded tongue. Body-wise, she's attractive, and she's got a cute face. Many might find her pretty. She just doesn't have the look that I find appealing. Nonetheless, I'm not going to hold that against her. But I am going to hold that against the movie.

The film does have one positive attribute in its casting, however. The male lead is Kyle Stone, probably my favorite FV actor. Here, he is hilarious in his role as the nerdy loser, "Bob", such a total geek that I was laughing out loud from the very beginning. It's a great comic performance, particularly from the start when he calls Susan and sets up a date. This one had great potential to go somewhere.

But when the two actually get together and have their date, he sits there like a stooge, not saying a word, just fantasizing about having consensual sex with her, which we see in several dream sequences. So the first 40 minutes is basically just a comic setup and then nothing but hardcore sex between Bob and Susan, which is fine if you're wanting to see a hardcore vanilla porn flick (or should I say a vanilla and chocolate one?). But that's boring to me. I want to see bondage and forced sex. And it takes a long while to get to that point in the movie.

Finally, at the end of the date, Bob makes his move on Susan, and she knees the nerd in the balls and tries to run out. But he grabs her and pulls her into the bedroom. He gags her with a pillowcase and gropes her on the bed. Eventually, he ties her face down spreadeagled on the bed. He pulls down her panties and spanks her a bit. Susan cries though her gag but doesn't exactly act like she's giving a lot of resistance.

He then takes out a dildo and pretends to insert it inside her ass, but unlike the rest of the film to this point, the action suddenly becomes simulated and we don't see a thing. Later, he has her flipped over on her back and he uses the dildo on her pussy, but the director has to resort to shots of her face and strategically framed angles of her legs so that we see no actual insertion.

Next, Susan is tied on the bed with her legs spread wide and tied to a spreader bar, with her hands bound in front to the bar as well. Bob removes his belt and folds it over, snapping it hard against his own palm, and her eyes widen as he approaches her bare pussy. This is where the film could have really taken off, but instead he just lightly flicks the belt over it, puny little love taps.

There is a bit of bondage sex for a minute or so, and that's pretty good, but halfway though, Bob cuts her ropes and lets her suck his dick, and the action becomes at once consensual and hardcore again. He cums in her open mouth, on her studded tongue, and she smiles and coos as the music turns sweet and romantic. She enjoyed it! How lovely.

I have to admit, as a whole, the film wasn't bad. The acting is good, it's kind of funny, and it's skillfully directed. But what is Forbidden Video trying to do? I'm becoming convinced that they don't "get it" anymore, as any of their previous bondage films with a bit of an edge are now removed from their site, and their new stuff has a playful, lighter tone that works against them. They are trying to play it safe, and this one is a perfect example. A different actress might have improved this one for me, but unless Forbidden changes their direction, it may not make much difference anyway. My grade: C+

Forbidden's direction: Extreme Associates (I think that's what they're called) was raided because of some of the stuff they put out. Forbidden may have pulled their more extreme stuff as a legal move (self preservation) rather than they really like their new direction. Who knows really? Too bad. I'm sure we'd all rather see them improve their product than make worse product.
