Alison Parish: She was a real find for ZFX in their early days. Pretty, blonde, and a young woman who gave a great performance every time out. Working hard on the next release, The Dirty Dreams of Lisa Kinkaid. Not sure on the time frame but it wont be too long. Just to give you a heads up on this show, it is something a lot of you have been waiting for, a hardcore bondage movie and one with Ms Kinkaid getting her tight little holes filled to capacity. If you see anymore 19.99 specials, lemme know, I'd be happy to financially sodomize those pricks again. If you see ZFX at that price, 9 times outta 10 its not real stuff. As far as smvideo.com, I busted these assholes in 2000, another bootlegger, but if you notice hes got no prices by ZFX stuff unless its the old shows that were sold to Bon Vue. These dorks are also known as LRmedia, Leather Rose. Listen, I understand peoples financial constraints and wanting cheap tapes, but giving money to bootleggers is not going to finance new products getting made and wastes HUGE amounts of my time and money chasing them down. I would guess you would see another 10 shows out on the market were it not for all the time wasted on this stuff. Unfortunately, it must be done or ZFX would not be here. Bootleggers have hurt ZFX to the point of extinction before I got serious about taking them down. Anyway, I would ask people not to support bootleggers. The reason they can put out one of my tapes at 19.99 is it cost them 0 dollars to make it, ok they have like .50 in the tape and laser copied cover. ZFX on the other hand has to pay massive production costs for models, printing, overhead like studio space and equipment cost which have to be recouped in order to be able to continue to make more tapes and to turn a profit so I and the people that work for me can make a living and keep on doing this. The good news is, we are winning this war and I think most of the big pirates have gotten the message loud and clear. Get your hand caught in this cookie jar your gonna draw back a bloody stump and I'm gonna take your cookie and eat it in front of you. I will make pirating ZFX very unpopular, unpleasant and unprofitable.

A few years ago there was a discussion here about the subject of stalking a victim prior to the actual abduction in videos. Pretty much everyone at the time was in favor of a build up/stalking sequence in which the victim is shown in everyday life activities before the villain strikes. The vid to the link pretty much appears to take that element and runs with it. From the description and stills it shows the victim being stalked in public (grocery store, parking lot), followed home, spied upon (showering, taking a nap), abducted, raped and finished off (Personally I’m not into THIS type of ending and will not mention what it is to leave you curious). The stills look fantastic (could use more bondage but hey…) and am really curious if the stills live up to expectations. Is the acting convincing? Is it done effectively? If anyone has seen it, please share some info with us.

I would also like to once again bring up the stalking element for ZFX. Personally I think it would add so much to a vid if we get to know something about the victim through the stalking scenes. For whatever reason, the movie “I Spit on your Grave” popped into my head. I was thinking how great a ZFX version would be. Possible story lines could be, after the victim is attacked and left for dead (maybe a hanging where the tree branch breaks after the attackers leave) she plots her revenge but somehow she screws up and she becomes the victim once more. Or, maybe she enlist the help of a female friend or two to set up her attackers but this also goes awry and her friends become victims one at a time. Then when she comes to extract her revenge thinking her friends have set up the attackers for their fall, she finds her friends have met the same fate as she had originally (maybe without her fortunate nature of the branch breaking). She loses site of her surrounding and in her horror and terrified state, end up the clutches of the villains once again.

What if the torment was overwhelming in a different way, would this be in line with your plot ideas? Example: We see the victim going about her everyday business, and being stalked. She is captured and tormented, then escapes. But she is tracked down and tormented again. She escapes again, her violator is caught, tried, convicted...but he escapes, only to track her down again and torment her. She kills him...but he comes back as a ghost and no matter what locks she installs or where she moves away to or defenses she applies, he is able to keep tracking her down and tormenting her again. Recognizing she can never win, she finally gives in and lets it happen.

I'm sure we can all imagine lots of variations on this general theme. What do people think? Do others also like the idea of watching the victim's mind change from "I'm going to fight this" to "I can't possibly win, I give up"?

To a certain degree. I can see a victim struggling and enduring her torment, then after awile realizing that there's no hope or no way of escape and kinda stops struggling as the torment continues. This however is when to turn it up a notch. What she was enduring, which she thought was so bad, was nothing compared to whats about to happen. If she again ajusts there's alway the threat of a finale demise to get her into a panic again.

I see where you're coming from but as for me...only to a certain point. But that's just me.

Again, like I said I'm probably in the minority but as far as the stalking theme goes, I wouldn't mind if the main character dosen't even get attacked until 3/4 ways through the vid. This gives us a good chance to know alot about who the victim is. A sample story line as an example I picture a story about a serial rapist (or serial rapist/murderer)who goes through maybe 3 or 4 victims before finally getting to the main charecter. After each assalt the focus would return to the evryday life of the finale victim. Hanging out with friends, watching TV as we hear a news report "We interupt this program....A third victim has been found (has reorted she was abducted/raped)..." Our subject is too busy messing with her freinds however to hear the newscast. Another day later, driving in her car, a similar newscast begins only to be cut short by her popping in a CD to listen to music. Again, another day, just hanging out, when her companion with a newspaper "They found another one...this is starting to give me the creeps". But our subject, confident in the fact that "it aways happens to someone else" pays little mind. She however dosen't realize that she has already passed the assailant in the street, shopped in the same store, etc. She's already been targeted and just waiting for the right time.

Anyway, I think Lisa would be a prefect actress for this as I think most all of us already have a foundenss with her, thus making it easier to care about her caracter (as long as her caracter isn't the manipulative bitch as given as an example in the previous post).

I just can't bring myself to buy a DVD "player". Since it is not a DVD "recorder", from what little I know about it it seems like a defective product to me out of the box. I am sickened by the hordes of people who have bought these things, I wish people had more backbone and could stand up to the industry and say, "Hey, we won't buy this crap until you make it fully effective." Sorry if I insult anyone here, just how I feel. We consumers either stand or fall together. Same way I feel about other defective ideas, like, for example, grocery store ID cards. I really ultimately don't give a shit if someone knows my food purchase preferences, but it's the principle of the thing, it just seems intrusive and bothers me. But it's hard enough to protect your privacy nowadays without a bunch of fucking morons (in my respectful opinion) mindlessly buying in to these consumer-abusive programs and practices and not objecting to it.

Other reasons are that I just can't afford to buy movies. I don't "pirate" anything, don't even really share with friends or family, but what I do is rent videos, say, and when I like one well enough to keep it, I record a VHS copy for home use. There aren't that many commercial flix I feel like keeping, a few things like Star Wars and the James Bond flicks that I can watch over and over, but I find that most commercial flix I have no interest in owning or watching repeatedly. But porn is another story -- the good stuff I can watch over and over, so as a result while I have a handful of commercial VHS movie copies, I probably have 100 recorded porn videos or so. They take up a lot of space, I'd love to transfer them to a different medium (like DVD) but I don't know how.

I will never get in the practice of buying movies. Ever. If home fair use copying rights are taken away technologically or governmentally or financially or privacy-intrusively, I will lose interest and just stop watching -- it's not that important to me. Here's my dilemma, and where this thread is going. I would love to transfer all of my porn vids to DVD disks. Frankly, I would be plenty happy even if I had to keep renting video tapes, and copying the ones I like to, say, DVD, rather than having a DVD original or a digital-to-digital copy. VHS quality is fine for me, it does the job, and it's not really the quality of the picture anyway that I'd be interested in DVD, rather for space savings, it's a physically smaller medium than a cassette tape. I long ago figured out how to avoid copy protection Macrovision Digital Restriction Management crap on videotapes, and there has never been a videotape that I haven't been able to rent inexpensively and record inexpensively to a blank tape. I know that DVD recorders have appeared on the scene -- expensive! I also know that there are a host of different DVD formats out there, and I have no clue about one compared to another. So my question is this--

How do you guys do it? Are there any of you who regularly inexpensively copy from a rented DVD to a blank DVD? From rented videotapes to blank DVDs? Without ever having fucking copy-protection nonsense get in your way? If so, can you give me some pointers, or point me to an on-line tutorial or something?

If not, then with all due respect please shut up about DVD "PLAYERS", okay? I'm sick of hearing about them. It's just another format, and if it does not have the same easy functionality as video cassette "RECORDERS", from my perspective it's an inferior format, who needs it? And who in their right mind would acquiesce in buying a product which constituted businesses taking away from you functionality or rights that you previously had? As a member of the hoard I'll just note that the fact that DVD players are not recordable is a simply a non-issue to many of us, Lots of people rarely use the recording feature on their VCR's now. At an average price of about fifteen dollars each, most of us can afford to own a small collection of favorite movies. What we don't own we rent.

Giving up rights (that people died for) with DVD players? Calm down. DVD player-recorders have been out for almost two years and are getting cheaper every week. DVD players hit the market first because they were cheaper to produce. Burning a DVD is a very complicated and precision process, Ten times more difficult than burning a CD (Which also took time to hit the market fully and cheaply) and a Hundred times more complicated than playing one. Companies made the players available first because they were much cheaper to produce and they wanted to allow the market time to establish before they spent millions trying to design a small mass-market DVD burner that could be produced and sold for a low price. It took decades for this to happen with CDs, and it never happened with records so count your blessings.

Those of us who have jumped onto the DVD bandwagon have done so because the DVD format is far superior format to VHS (which will soon go the way of the Eight-Track tape.) DVD has nearly twice as many scan lines as a tape, which is night and day on a large or high quality television. It has far better sound than even Hi-Fi VHS, once again unmistakable on even a low budget home theater system. and generally comes with numerous special features that are not available on tape at all. Also a properly cared for DVD will not degrade like tape will. I?ve had tapes begin to fall apart after less than a dozen viewings, while DVDs I've watched over fifty times are still in brand new condition.

Now if quality isn't an issue for you, fine.

What you're saying is that you want to re-record about one Hundred tapes to save some physical space?

The bookshelf I bought years ago is about two feet wide, six feet high and maybe nine inches deep, probably paid 20-30 bucks for it. I think I have close to one hundred fifty tapes on it with room to spare. While I'm sure it will hold twice maybe even three times as many DVDs, I can't imagine wanting to buy all the blanks, spending all of the time dealing with the copying, redoing all the labels, and then what? Throw away all my tapes? All to save some shelf space?

But that's ok, if that's what you want I think you should have it. Here is the cheapest way to get what you want: I am sure that you already own a recordable CD-ROM on your computer, so all you really need now is a TV card. You can get a perfectly decent one for fifty bucks or less. Once you've installed it in your computer, hook up your VCR to it and record your tapes to mpeg files, lots of shareware out there that will do this and the TV card may even include some. Once the file is saved just burn it to a CD. That's it. The CD should hold up to about 75 minutes of video (which is longer than most porn films these days) and you can watch it right on your computer screen. If you ever do get a DVD recorder-player, it should have no trouble reading your CDs. All newer DVD players can read mpeg files, then you can view it on your TV also.

As far as the grocery cards are concerned, use one, don't use one, no one cares. You haven't had any privacy in years and not using a grocery card isn't going help you, one way or the other.

Money ? Not even counting the "Pirates", many people take the cheap way out, they rent and copy them, depriving the producer who made them of their profits. Naturally the producers have to raise the price accordingly to cover these losses and in a limited market like porn where sales can be measured in the hundreds it's going to be a significant hike. The customers who rent and copy them then bitch about the price. You get what you pay for.

Most businesses are not trying to "Fuck the consumer" they are just trying to make a reasonable buck in a bottom line world. Customers want wholesale prices, ass-kissing service and frequent flyer miles to boot. They want to "buy" that five thousand dollar laptop for a business trip and then return it when they get back. They want to rent videos, copy them, and speak proudly how they will never "buy" one because the video producers are out to fuck them.
