On a similar theme, going back to the upside-down dunking of Lisa, Rick and I had a brief e-mail conversation about having it done it a plexiglass encloseure. I workout in a gym three or four nights a week. The cardio room is arranged with several rows of equipmnt (treadmills, stair climbers, etc), all facing the front of the room. I checked out Orgasmagoria tonight. Wow, some exciting stills there! I was in hog heaven downloading all the pictures. I am of the same mind as Howie, however. Lots of stuff I want, but way too damned expensive. 13 bucks for 6 minutes? Talk about uncheap thrills. Now if Orgasmagoria wants to compile several of their shorts into a DVD or a video and sell that at a reasonable price, even fifty or sixty dollars, I would be interested. My guess is that they wouldn't consider it because they are making too much money gouging people this way. Figure it out. At this rate, one hour of their clips would cost roughly $130. Yowch! And people say ZFX tapes, at $40-45, are too expensive, and this next one is nearly two hours long. Quite a comparison.

Plastic bags: Yeah, I love 'em too, for exactly the same reason. Anything that puts the girl in a bondage life or death situation rings my bell. The scene with Lisa in War Pigs 2 was great, and Rick did the bag thing with Chandra Sweet in a couple of vids that I remember, Phantacide Peepshow 2 and my fave The Cheerleaders of Perilous U. I also wanted to add something about "not" signing up as a member to the site. Yes you get each vid for $3.00 less than non-members, but you already paid almost $20.00 each month for your membership, so you would need to buy a TON of fucking movies to save any money. My advice is that if you want any of the flicks, just order them at the normal price. That will actually be the cheapest route.

Here is how you do it. When you click on the link for the flick, don't click with your "left" button, use the "right" button. When you do this a dialog box will appear. One of the choices will be "Save target as." Click on that and then you can save it to where ever you want. This works the same way with QuickTime video also.

The other option I mentioned is a little more involved, and you wont need to use it at Insex. But sometimes you will go to a site that for what ever reason has there movies configured so that the above mentioned technique will not work. Here is how you get around that. First go to your "Temporary Internet Files," folder located in your "Windows," directory and delete everything in it. This is so the clip you are about to download will be easier to find. Then go strait to what ever movie file it is you want to save and play it as you always would. When you are done go back to the "Temporary Internet Files," folder and find it in there. Don't cut and paste it, because that wont work. Copy the file and the past it where you want, and wha laa, you have the movie saved to your hard drive. As I said in my last post, there are some Web masters that even know how to stop you from doing that, but they are few and far between. Happy downloading.

DHT: Welcome to the forum! We're glad to have you. Penelope is indeed in SOB-5, but her scenes were unrelated to anything else in the story. Most of her scenes were presented like any other ZFX scene, not just on a monitor. They did appear to be shot at another time and could have been dropped from the tape without hurting it at all. That said, I would definitely recommend that tape, because it is loaded with rape and torture and you get your money's worth with this one.

Second, regarding Insex, you cannot download the full movies, but you can downloads the real player segments, and string them together to get virtually the same effect. Insex is an interesting site, but I much prefer what Rick does. IMO Insex is more about humiliation and abuse than an "artistic" display of beautiful women. I find Insex to be interesting from a psychological point of view, but can not touch ZFX as far as being erotic. I guess I prefer my torture being realistically simulated ala ZFX than the real thing. Been too long of a post, but I will echo the sentiment expressed that breath play is erotic and would like to see Rick do some more of it. By the way, I'm also in complete agreement about liking the ZFX style of simulation as opposed to the real thing at Insex. 1st of all, at Insex, since it is real, you can see that they are taking precautions to not really cause any irreparable damage. With the ZFX simulations, the attackers just go balls out wild with no regard what so ever for the female victim. Hmmmm, feeemale victummmm. 2. The acts that they do perpetrate are sometimes even a little to much for me to watch knowing that it is real. I.E. sewing of lips together, needles under fingernails. Something about knowing it's not fake pushes a line for me that goes a little outside the boundary of erotic, and falls a little more to the just plain disturbing side. Anyhow, that's my take on it. Not that I'm putting the site down, it's just that it's a little much for me at times. With a simulation, I can let my mind get totally caught up in the fantasy. That's just not always the case when it's real. At least for me anyhow.

Over time, there has been more & more stuff on Insex that I don't like at all. I don't like the real torture aspect at all. The sewing scenes, fingernail torture, piercings, etc. I find extreme and won't watch. I also don't like the apparent fascination with graphic enemas and bodily elimination functions. I don't like the models with all those tatoos. Why do beautiful women mar their bodies in that way?

I like the fantasy and storylines of Rick's stuff. I generally like his taste in actresses. I particularly like the scifi stories. I get tired of the incessant fake whipping, which can get boring. I don't like the depictions of real pain, even if it is staged. I also miss the innocence and everyday inventiveness of his early 90s material.

My ideal combination (which I haven't found yet) would include beautiful babes, big natural breasts, takedowns and stripping, a storyline, bondage(esp breast bondage), humiliation, spanking, not much torture (tie 'em up, but don't hurt 'em), lots of sensuality, penetration, some femfem. The fantasies would be nonconsensual, but the bound babes would get aroused anyway!

BTW - one of the coolest breath control scenes I've watched was in the first or second ZFX film, one of the ones you can get from B&D Pleasures. It featured, as I recall, Rick's future wife (sorry, her name escapes me!). She was bound in a chair, breathing through a tube with a bag over her head, looking at the camera, appeared to be getting off on the situation. Very nice.

I also can't stand it when the chicks are OBVIOUS freaks. Like having Green hair, or tattoos that cover their entire back. If a chick is all freaky like that, she may as well be a 300 pound porker in my book, because it's just not a turn on.

But I will say that I disagree with you on the violence standpoint. As long as it's fantasy, just about anything, and I mean anything is fair game for me, and the more real they can MAKE it look, the better. As long as the chick is hot and extremely unhappy with what is going on, I'm in. She needs to be treated like a vessel that is only good for the attackers enjoyment, whether that be fucking her, or beating the shit out of her. But it does need to be fantasy. As long as it's fantasy I'm only watching a character, like in a movie or a cartoon, and I enjoy it for the escapism that it is. As soon as it becomes real, I start to get a little freaked out.

Now I haven't seen any of Insex's newest stuff, so I haven't seen the tit-nailing, pussy-lip sewing or needles stuck under fingernails. I'm all for harsh torture, but to me, if the girl is willingly letting a guy do that to her, it's not torture, it's just mutilation! Now if someone were to grab a girl off the street and torture her against her will, which is the typical ZFX storyline, I would be all for that. Then feel free to torture her any way you see fit. I'm one of the few on this forum who has no problem with showing blood as long as it's realistic in the context of the scene, but others have their limits, as shown by Fred's comments. IMO, ZFX is doing it right, and I much prefer their simulations to Insex's reality.

Chad is the nick of the guy who did the scans, which come from his amazing collection of HOM mags. They get re-posted by various posters every now and then to the ABPEB (alt.bondage.pictures.erotic.bondage) newsgroup. Being a huge classic HOM fan myself, his series is my favorite.

Insex and ZFX and other

Someone posted some Insex rm movies to ABPEB last month. I downloaded some, but not all, cause I personally found them boring. I put myself in the camp that likes non-consensual stories acted out. But even when I pretended in my head the insex girl was there against her will, I still found it boring. Their stuff just drags for me, minutes of not much happening, at least the ones I've seen. I'm not a big fan of tying up the girl and then just letting the camera roll on that. Do something to her--whip her, slap her, spank her, feel her up, squeeze a breast, penetrate, something! Also, unlike some here, I'm not into the breath bag thing, or pouring wax, but that's just me. I pretty much go along with what Fred said he likes down below, only I differ in that some hurt/pain is ok with me. I don't like torture to the point of agony (even in fantasy), but some rough punishment is a plus in my book. Like Howie, I can tolerate more in fantasy, or in videos where I know it's just acting, than if I think it's happening for real.

Insex: My reactions to Insex are the same as my reactions to TAG. I may not like what I see, but I'm glad someone's out there doing the work. Insex seems to have some really good looking women, and as I said, tattoos or piercings don't bother me. As far as the rest of it, He's breaking ground and exceeding previous limits, which isn't a bad thing for bondage videos... She's hot here too, but wears a bathrobe I'd've preferred to have stayed in the laundry... This video features five women in scenes where they are tied and gagged, then retied and re-gagged a different way. Camera work is shaky, and hair in the face is a problem when the viewer wants to see the gag. The scenes are hastily filmed, and the sound is hazy, with a lot of background noise... Now, none of that is necessarily a bad thing. "Low quality" in a bondage video can actually add to the overall anxious effect, but ZFX does a messy video a lot better...

Some local ISPs carry it, but the retention and completeness of binary group posts on local ISPs newsservers is pretty pathetic. Newsservers that you can pay for with better binary group retention and completeness include Supernews and Newsguy (and there are others). Supernews is the best I've found, and very fast for cable and DSL. Newguy and Newsguy Extra are not as good (and not as fast) but are OK, and cheaper the Supernews.

To get to a newsgroup, I think you can use your browser, but I don't. I use a newsserver app called YA-Newswatcher but that's mac only. For a PC, I've heard of Agent, I'm sure there are others. You can go to versiontracker.com, click on 'windows' as your operating system, and do a search for 'news'. A lot of PC news apps should appear, and links for getting more info and to DL the shareware and freeware ones.

The first thing I did when I took over this board was to add that message to the "Sign Guestbook" form, but to add extra emphasis, I highlighted it in red tonight so hopefully none of the newbies miss it. It's something everyone eventually learns when you deal with HTML, and it's important because it can make your posts much easier to read.

I appreciate reading the review of Bindher's videos. Actually, I bought Silent Abduction a while back and just recently edited that scene onto one of my highlights tapes. It's not a bad scene, but the flaws with it you mentioned are all valid. I might also add that her captor injects some chloroform into a tube leading to the bag over her head and she actually dies in that scene, which is the only snuff scene I ever saw from his company. The reason I bought it was because of an earlier scene where Victoria gets tied to a chair and tortured with electrical shock to her nipples, which I enjoyed. Bindher is a friend of mine who I've known since the early days of his site, before he ever started his video company. In general his stuff is still very amateurishly filmed, but he usually does a good job on the actual ropework, IMO. Some of his models I like, others I don't, but he's been working with some of the bigger names in the business, so at least he gets women who know how to act. I've bought about a half-dozen of his vids, and they all have some good scenes in them, even if they are all flawed in one way or another.

WAVE Video: Another company with its heart in the right place, but constantly plagued by feeble acting, pedestrian direction and cheesy special effects. I have bought about 20 or so of their tapes, and again, I usually find worthwhile scenes buried in the mediocrity of the production. For a guy who specializes in damsels in distress tapes, you would think he would pay a bit more attention to tying his girls a bit better. Still, he tackles subjects others would shy away from, mixing bondage with snuff themes like hanging, gassing, electrocution, quicksand, strangling, buzzsaws, burning at the stake...practically every death theme you can name, he has done it. A lot of his girls are cute and many perform in the nude, which automatically enhances any scene in my book :)

I also checked out that Internet Adult Film Database site that zfx'r suggested. That is one seriously messed-up site! Well, maybe not that bad, but there were a lot of errors in it that I caught. It's very incomplete and they have ZFX's Rick Masters and the other adult star Rick Masters as sharing the same credits. They don't have Lisa Kinkaid listed as appearing in Reporter 2: Gangstarr. There are incorrect reviews of Gangland 3 and 4, listing them as ZFX tapes, but both reviews are of hardcore sex tapes. And this is just from a quick glance at the site. It's a potentially very useful website, but it needs a lot of work to be really comprehensive, especially on ZFX videos.

My own personal favorites:3 parts or more: 1) Night Prowler - primarily because it covered a large part of ZFX history from the early days to his first trips to Minnesota - the scenes with Candy Licks, the full suspension and the wax scenes are some of my personal favorites (a lot of this was almost duplication of Video Pirates - which I leave off my list because the only parts I really liked were the scenes with Candy and Kelly in the last two segments.

2) South of the Border - shows some of Ricks best later work, how can you not like something that has Lisa, Penny and Monica Moore, reminded me of the old HOM Trapped videos where the "students" are taken hostage in a South American country.

3) Guinea Pig series, here again because it spanned a good deal of ZFX history, although I thought the last installment was the worst of the bunch - the last was notable mainly because it was the last time you saw Tabitha before her enhancement - liked her much better in the before mode.

4) Gangland, another good series although Kerri Downs and Darby Fox are not among my favorite ZFX actresses, it did have Chandra in the later installments, one of her first I think, and I believe it was the last time we got to see Drew - and it was a great final for her, she really looked great.

5) I don't really have a fifth, lump everything else here except War Pigs, my least favorite series, I'm sorry, women in combat boots just don't do a whole lot for me.

As for the 2 parters, 1)666 and Underland - I put them together because they are a lot alike, same actresses, a lot of similiar scenes - and both the actresses and the scenes are fantastic

2) Subject 9 with Penelope Pace, might have been the first full suspension Rick did, and if it wasn't Penny's first set of videos it was darn close, the beginning of a ZFX legend

3) VooDoo Dolls - two tapes of nothing but Lisa - how can anyone go wrong

4) The Reporter with Monica Moore - another ZFX legend although she wasn't around very long

5) Guilty with Penelope Pace - another opportunity to show how amazingly limber this young woman is - especially during the rape scene. The only bad part about compiling this listing is reminding me of the "good old days" when Rick was realy prolific - I for one would be thrilled to get some less techical and complex videos, and more volume, like in those early years of the 90's.

Final note, do we have any word yet on when the ZFX site update will be done -on second thought, someone just post when they know it has happened - Rick's deadlines are no where near as reliable as the content of his movies.

TWO PART SERIES:

1) The Reporter and Gangstarr: Monica Moore at her sexy best, screaming her fool head off, with Brian Dunhill as her chief interrogator. Does life get any better?

2) Miss Ballista 1 and 2: This will apply as long as Part 3 is still on hold. Master's bondage comic book super-heroine has so far produced a boatload of great scenes, and both parts have been ambitious and totally entertaining.

3) Mincemeat Pie and Doer: Penelope Pace is terrorized by a group of good ol' boy rednecks and their girlfriend Chandra Sweet. Sample dialogue: We're gonna play a little game here. It's a fun game. It's called "Whip The Bitch!" Some of Penelope's best work, too.

4) Voodoo Dolls 1 and 2: Total agreement here. Two excellent sci-fi bondage shows with Lisa as the sole victim, and that's good enough for me.

5) 666 and 666: Mark of the Beast: Devilish goings-on in two tapes where bondage, torture and witchery all blend together into a fine production with a strong storyline to boot.

MULTI-TAPE SERIES:

1) Video Pirates: I personally loved this series, because I thought the scenes with Rick and Chandra torturing Melisa Pope, which stretched out over parts 2-5, was one of ZFX's best-ever segments. Melisa wasn't the greatest-looking girl ZFX ever worked with, but I thought her performance was natural and entirely convincing, and if Rick had edited all of her segments together into one long single tape, it would make my top five of all time. That series was also great because of Kelly and Kerri Downs and Candi's contributions, too. All in all, I thought it worked well from beginning to end, although the first of the series featuring Tabitha Jordan was not up to the rest of what followed.

2) Night Prowler: Travis Lee as Otis the night prowler, taking out his sick rage against a bevy of babes who had wronged him. All are worthwhile, and my favorite is Part 2 with the bondage rape of Holly Weston. An excellent series.

3) Guinea Pigs: This was a very successful series, because you could always count on Rick to come up with something unique to do with his bound victims. The array of babes that appeared in this series included Victoria Vixxen, Alison Parish, Holly Weston, and Chandra in the finale of the series, which I agree wasn't as strong as the others, but all are worthwhile.

4) Gangland: The final tape was a disappointment, but the first two with Kerri Downs and Nick Long are classics, and Chandra's scenes in Part 4 gave the series an added boost when it was starting to slip.

5) South of the Border: This series has really developed into my current favorite, for the same reasons you mentioned. As much as I miss Monica Moore's great sufferings in the first two, the next three have provided some memorable scenes with some other beautiful actresses, highlighted by Lisa Kinkaid's stellar turn in Part 4. I hope we'll get to see a Part 6 of this before the year is out, but it's not a sure thing.

Remember when Rick used to release several vids at one time? It was not unheard of to get 15-20 new tapes a year. He used to release at least one series of 5 new ones at a time. That ended last year when we only got three, and we're still awaiting his first one of the year, and it's April already. I know it takes longer to make them now, plus there's the website updates and streaming video and all to distract him from making the actual shows. Still, like you, I clamor for the older, more prolific days from ZFX.

1> BETRAYED INTO BONDAGE is a fantastic video, well worth the money. It features Natalie Ashe, an unusual looking but hot blonde or fake blonde in leotards, put into about three different tie ups.

The next woman is Katie Jordan, a hot brunette with short hair. She is surprised in her bedroom and put through about 5 tie-ups.

the third and last woman on the tape is Jewel, a neat little blonde who looks a little like both Drew Barrymore and Gillian Anderson. Jewel plays a jogging lawyer who is abducted by a disgruntled opponent, and taken home for about three lengthy tie-ups and left spreadeagled to a bed with a lit stick of dynamite taped between her legs.

Jewel, who is featured in several bindher videos, gets her best treatment in this one. HELD is another good Jewel/Bindher video.

The second Bindher video I'd recommend is FORCED OVERTIME, which features Tina Krause/Mia Copa and Natalie Ashe, and a second story with Tasha Capri.

Tina Krause is a beautiful actress with long black hair that probably all posters on this board are familiar with from her work with W.A.V.E. and seduction cinema. Natalie Ashe is the long haired blonde from BETRAYED I mentioned earlier, and she has a great onscreen gagging scene toward the end of the first story. FAVORITE ZFX VID SERIES: TWO PARTERS

South of the Border 1&2: though this series has progressed to 5, I consider 1&2 a separate series due to the time between 2&3 and that there is a completely different cast and storyline in 3-5.

this series features Penelope Pace, looking dynamite and suffering tremendously. I love her hair in this set.

Though I like Monica Moore, she doesn't sell a video for me, and I'd've preferred Lisa in her role, but had that been the case I'd've probably died either from pleasure overload or just waiting for the tapes to come in the mail.

GUILTY 1&2 is the ultimate Penelope Pace video in my opinion, though one cloth gag would've been nice, as would a blindfold for her in the van. The Lisa scenes in 2 are negligible, but in one she is very sexy. The microphome bit-gag is something new.

WAR PIGS 3&4, again a two parter on their own, are fun, with Lisa putting Cinsy MacCready through some dangerous looking tie-ups. Brigitte Bayone does absolutely nothing for me, though. SERIES TAPES:

I too like the Video Pirates scenes with Chandra, Rick, and the spooky girl, because they were very scary. The girl was good at acting scared, and Chandra is just a psychotic freak who I love.

Even so, I think the best series has to be BLUNT TRAUMA, with PPACE, Lisa, and another insane Chandra Sweet.

"That-THAT'S what I think!" to quote Andrew Dice Clay, as I say something that occurred to me a while ago, is how wonderful REPORTER/GANGSTARR would've been with Penelope instead of Monica Moore, or Penelope and Lisa as a double set of reporter victims. Geez, a lot of them, IMO. Like I mentioned earlier, the first Video Pirates wasn't quite as good as the ones that followed, but starting with Part 2, that series really took off. I thought all the sequels to Blunt Trauma were better than the original. The Tool Box Abductions was decent, but Part 2 is a bonafide classic, full of great scenes. The Reporter with Monica Moore started off well, but the sequel, Gangstarr, is one of the best ZFX ever put out. The first of the sci-fi trilogy that began with Machine Head was just so-so. Both sequels were better. And as zee-ef-ex pointed out, Ballista 2 was even better than the excellent first chapter.

Why is this? My guess is that it's because the first tape sets up the plot, so more time is devoted to telling the story than to the actual tortures. Once part 2 begins, he can go straight forward with stuff we all like to see, and have time for more creative setpieces. Just a theory, anyone have any opinions?

If I were to have a single grip about Eyewitness so far, it would be one that is probably obvious to many of you in here. Simply put, "WHAT'S WITH ALL THE FUCKING CLOTHES!!" I realize that they need to have something on them for the hanging scenes because they probably have some elaborate harness on the chicks under there clothes to achieve the realistic illusion, but come on already. These models at eyewitness are by far some of the hottest chicks I've ever seen doing this type of stuff, aside from the Fantom Killer movies, and some of the ZFX models. To not get them completely naked so we can drink in there gorgeous bodies while we watch them suffer is something I feel I would find VERY annoying if I were to fork out the 60 plus dollars for a tape. The clothes are good for a while, but you have to strip them eventually. That's like winning $1,000,000.00 in the lottery and only taking half of it and letting the rest just go to waist.

Ralphus, I am eagerly awaiting your reviews of these flicks. Please let us know if we ever get the opportunity to see the models, especially Olivia completely naked. Who knows, maybe the tapes are so well made, and so hot that the cloths wont matter, but for some reason, I doubt it.

Only other (minor) criticism of the tape? It tends to be a bit padded, which is not always a bad thing, but I might have chopped about 15 minutes from the final product. The hanging at the end seems to go on a little long...you wouldn't think she's still be squirming after 10 minutes, but she still was. The hanging illusion was credible. One could guess how they did it, but it was still about as good as I've seen, considering that such a thing can look only so realistic.

I was very impressed, and I still have Guilty to watch, with the same victim also tied to a chair and shocked in the tits. Life is good! My grade for Deadly Laundry: A-

Lyndon, who bought out HOM, does have a bunch transfered (the Bondage Classic videos and DVDs) as Sprintus said. The quality ranges from ok to pretty bad transfers; the earlier numbers being better than the later numbers, I forget where the break happens. Also they sped up the projector to match 8mm film frame rate to that of video, to prevent scanlines or flickering I think (not sure really why).

After leaving HOM, the Cole and Whitman team with Behr started California Star, and did a bunch of videos there before retiring for good. By the descriptions for the Cole Whitman tapes at straythoughts, it seems those come from Cal Star's Punished series.

When it comes to ZFX my likes far outnumber my dislikes, Rick has done a great job, his movies keep getting technically beter and better produced, it's just I like the content of some of the older ones better. One nice thing about Lisa being around for such a long time, it has been a pleasure to watch her evolve, she handles a lot more torment now than when she started and just keeps getting better and better at doing it - she suffering so wonderfully.

1) Baggings~Nothing compares to a long drawn out reactions in the midst of a panic. Makes for great struggling scenes.

2) Stranglings~For similar reasons.

3)Hanging upside down by the ankles with the hands tied behind the back totally nude (and barefoot...Yes, lose the boots and tennies). Hanging upside down is even better in combination with a bagging or dunking! 4) Forced oral with oral/facial climax (Bagging used to coerce a blowjog).

5)Hogties~Tight and a perfect way to show a pair of pretty feet (With bagging, all the better....you noticing a theme here).

6 through....General tight ties, rough handling, victim getting eaten (pussy), multiple assailants on one victim (5+ attackers. 5 facials, 5...), etc.

Negatives

1) Unattractive actresses~No matter how good an actress she is, it won't make the video watchable.

2) Cheesy, poor acting.~Over done/under done reactions.

4)Scat/Golden~Actually this should have been my number one turn off.

7 though....Stupid dialog. Example from a simulated scene in an adult movie, "Go ahead and stick it in the back". "No thanks, I don't like going the dirt route". If it's simulated, why bring it up in the dialog at all? Stupid. Overly long scenes that could have had better effect if not drawn out so long. Wasting a cum shot on the ass or stomach (save 'em for the face!). Etc.

Even the live sections of the sites are REALLY good now. In the beginning I thought the live action stuff he did was just to silly to watch. I even told him so, but within about the last year he has expanded his business and started hiring some drop dead gorgeous models. I'm talking about some seriously flawless chicks. And he gets almost as rough in his live action stuff as he does in his comics, and that's saying a lot. Everything from beating to rapes, and in the end he usually provides two endings. One where the Superheroine will win, which I always hate : ) , and one where she gets destroyed. Usually in a beautiful bloody naked mess. He pull it all off very well as Iago said. Some of the monsters are a little cheesy looking, but who give a rats ass when its beating and raping the hell out of some hot, big titted model. WHOOO HAAAA! Keep in mind that this is ALL fantasy stuff with the live action sections. So when I say beating and raping, it's all simulated. This isn't Insex.

And don't forget that there are also many other great artists who are regular contributors to the site such as Mr. X, Nightwing316, and others I can't think of right now. Basically if you're looking for a recommendation from another pervert with really high standards for his porn, I can tell you without hesitation to give the site a try. You won't regret it.

Keep in mind that he rotates everything on a two month schedule on the inside. Meaning he has the updates set up from Week 1 through Week 8, and once he works his way back around to week 1 everything from week one is gone from the site forever, and so forth for each consecutive week as he moves along. If you want to see all the past material you have to buy his compilation CD's that are REALLY expensive. I think there somewhere between $40 and $50 a piece. So it really pays to be a member as he goes along and just collect the stuff for yourself. I can tell you without a doubt that I haven't regretted one cent I've spent on my memberships at any of his site. The guy really is a creative genius when it comes to his art and now even his live action stuff, and I truly mean that.

And this last note will be very cryptic to everyone in here but one, and that person will know what I'm talking about. Yes, this is going to be one of them. (^_^)

POSITIVES:

Realistic kidnapping, captures. Key word here is realistic. Let the victim try to run away or try to fight back. Let her struggle, but ultimately lose. A believable takedown sets up the story. Without it, something is lacking.

Threatening, taunting banter from the villain. He shouldn't be the main focus of the scene, but we should know he is clearly enjoying what he is doing to the poor victim. This is fun! You're suffering and I'm having fun! This enhances the whole experience and often can make a good scene into a great one. Best examples of a good villain: Brian Dunhill, Rick Masters, Joseph Marx.

Crying, whimpering, moaning, begging, painful screaming from the victim. Make us believe you are really scared, or really in agony, and we'll buy the scene every time.

Suspension: I like the idea of hanging a girl up like a side of beef, where she can only hang helplessly and painfully by her wrists while the villain goes to work on her, whipping her, penetrating her, whatever he wants. Even better: Upside down suspension, even more vulnerable and helpless, and easier to use her mouth for oral sex.

Electric shock: I love seeing the girls get zapped in their private parts, tits, ass, pussy. ZFX has pretty much perfected this scene over the years.

Multiple clothespins to the breasts, pussy and other parts of the body. Decorating a victim's body with painful marks and leaving her to suffer is a great turn-on. Likewise with candle wax. Cover her from head to toe!

Cumming and yes, even pissing on a bound girl's face. You just raped her, what could be more humiliating than to use her face as a target afterward? It's degrading, and shows her that she is only there for your pleasure.

NEGATIVES:

Tattoos, piercings, ugly women. As mentioned before, it's the quality of the girl that makes the movie work for me. It all starts with the casting. This is usually not a problem with ZFX girls. I think Rick likes the same aspects that I do :)

Girl/girl scenes. Just like I don't want freakgirls, I don't want lesbians, either. BORING!

Girls in the roles as villains. There are a few exceptions, but on the whole, a girl can't dish it out as well as a guy can. Dominant women? The whole thing smacks of fakiness. Now if you have someone like Chandra Sweet as the girlfriend of one of the villains cheering the men on, that's totally different.

Unrealistic bondage/ unbelievable torture or rape sequences. Scenes that are badly acted, or clearly simulated and look that way. Ruins the whole mood and believability of the illusion.

Sci-fi or fantasy sequences (aka the weird shit). Amorous teddy bears, libidinous spiders, sex-warped flowers that sprout phallic tentacles. Okay, I know it's creative and I admire the effort it takes to pull off the illusion. I just don't get turned on by it.

Forcing the girl to suck off a rubber dildo. I know some love it, and Rick uses it in practically every tape. I just think it's a waste of time. If you're going to use her mouth, make her suck your own cock.

I'm sure there are others I'll think of later, but I'll give someone else a chance. Gentlemen, let's hear your opinions!

POSITIVES:

Psychological torture. Have the villain work at breaking the victim throughout the movie. He wants to break her mind, so he uses his own mind as well as the whip. Alien Probe was great for this.

Fondling, sexual arousal. Okay, it's not very realistic, but the notion of a woman being forced into pleasure against her will is pretty hot. Rick has done this in a number of ways, from the woman just giving in, like Forced Entry, to various drugs (Guinea Pigs, etc.). I think it'd be cool if we saw her again after the drug had worn off, realizing in horror that she is about to be turned into some loveslave for sale, unless maybe she can beg her way out of it...

Stripping/costumes-Have the girl start off looking sexy or even trashy. We know she's gonna lose the clothes soon, but let's enjoy them for a while first. Also, when she does lose them, have the villain either trash the clothing piece by piece, or be really humiliating and make the woman remove them herself (kind of like in 666). There are lots of ZFX movies, like the Plant or ballista, where we see this.

Supernatural or sci-fi themes. Really, anyone can make a slasher movie. It takes a lot more work (which Rick probably figures no one notices) to do sci-fi or supernatural angles in movies. I like the extra effects and atmosphere that this brings. Rick has done it well in a bunch of movies, most recently with the Ballista series.

Hottie women. Ralphus has a point that can't be argued here. No one wants to see an ugly woman. I don't think this is a big issue for Rick these days. I'm not a big Bridgette fan, but like the other recent models he's used.

Sex. Rick is almost unique in that he has a lot of sexual content in his evil bondage videos. Most of this stuff is completely lame in other vids. There's still no actual sex with Rick's flix, but that's okay, really. Rick's getting better at simulating it all the time.

Imagination. While a lot of ZFX flicks may follow similar themes, Rick shows a great deal of imagination and creativity in his work. This stretches from the vids to his Poser work (I like the FIS series, too).

Okay, so I'm a ZFX whore. Here's the...

NOT-SO-POSITIVES:

Slow releases. Since 2000 Rick has really slowed down the new fuel for our fetishes. That's a bummer.

A bit dark. It seems to me that some ZFX vids are a bit dark-looking. Ordinarily this goes with the theme, but in 666 there were a few scenes where I thought it was too dark to really see what was going on.

Voice-overs. Rick uses a lot of voice-changing gimmicks in his vids. While this is usually okay, I can hardly ever really understand what any "demonic" entity is really saying. It's usually not really central to the action, but still.

Regarding the actresses themselves, I also agree, the prettier the better, with possibly one exception. Marilyn Malone, in the Worm, is not in the same class as Lisa, Penny, or Monica, but she really sells her performance, it is one of my favorite of all the ZFX tapes - great torture, great rape scene, great asphyixation (sp?) scene at the end and the most limber model (including Penny) that ZFX ever used. With the possible exception of some of the old Cole and Whitman movies that have been discussed - no one else really comes close to what Rick does. Hint: Rick, do it more often.

One more note - a model I really liked was Sandra Chase, she rarely gets mentioned, but I thought she was really great in Jennifer's Nightmares, Ms. Cox and Trojan Horse. In Trojan Horse, for the climax it looks as if ZFX did their first snuff scene, the villain suffocates with a plastic bag and leaves her for dead. However, she finally regains consciousness and does the patented ZFX heroine escape. Anyhow, reading others preferences and dislikes rekindles many temporarily forgotten pleasurable memories from the ZFX vaults.

One last note, since this forum is basically about Rick and ZFX, would it be possible to collect all his entries in one place in the Archives, also those of Mad Dog, since he was a player in many of the movies - it is always interesting to get their first hand impressions - if they could be grouped together it would save a lot of scanning - I don't know if this is practical or possible.

I hoped these sites would have more sexuality and bondage, and less gore & blood. Call me squeamish!

Wow, things have really livened up as of late! Just letting you know that the Ballista 3 DVDs have been released to the distributor....finally. VHS and DVD should be on the street or available through various retailers within a week or so depending on your location. Phallicide and Dark Offering will also be re-released on DVD soon. Working on the next show already, the theme is basically a very hot construction forewoman who runs afoul of a couple sadistic crew members at the job site. This is a much simpler movie than Ballista 3 and should be out relatively quickly, but I'm not gonna even venture a guess yet. As far as the website, STILL working on it, or various web designers are, but most of it is done or very close. Anyway, I'll let you know when I know for sure when I'm sure...

Took a peek at the Eyewitness site. Looked like some very interesting stuff. I didnt buy anything(I just might though), but judging from the picts, the chicks looked hot. Since I like the partially clad look(gives that look of spontaneity, thus reality) its right up my alley. My guess is, the sexual content might be very sparse, but I can still see a lot of interesting things that could be done in lieu of it. Gives me the idea I ougta try my hand at it=).

AVF: Sometimes sequels are planned, sometimes they just happen because it is (a particular story) overshot and the scenes are worth incorporating into a second part or more. There is also the sales factor. The South of the Border series really took and so I made more:P BTW, The Incubus 1-2 are sort of sequels to Liza Cord, though its more of interrelated story thing than sequels per se. As far as AMY AMY AMY!, sorry, there is no more=(

My tastes aren't too different from Ralphus in many areas. I like realistic takedowns and abductions. I want to see the gal being bound and stripped. While tying up somebody can take a lot of time, judicious editing can compress that time. It's one of the things I love in the old HOM Blakemore loops. Breast grabbing and overall manhandling/fondling is a major turn-on (though not if it's on an unconscious victim or done to excite her). Generally, I prefer when ZFX keeps things simple because I'm mostly interested in seeing the gals tied up and terrorized.

My dislikes are the times when ZFX goes too far out. I've never cared for their science fiction and horror stuff. The budget never equals what Rick's trying to achieve, so it always comes across as Grade-Z schlock. The last thing I want to see is another backwards filmed tentacle (nobody's ever done that before). I've never cared for blowjobs, so I can always do without that element even though it seems to be an essential part of all ZFX videos.

"Guilty" is one of my favorites out of recent ZFX videos. Penelope Pace was kidnapped, dragged into a van, and quickly bound and gagged. She gets manhandled in a great scene with Rick as the villain and even does a lengthy suspension. The wraparound scenes with Lisa interviewing serial rapist Rick in jail and getting sexually excited was ridiculous. For me, the first half of the movie was great realistic stuff while the second half deteriorated into an unrealistic fantasy.

I've looked at Superheroine Central a few times, but I'm not into the concept, so it's never grabbed me. I like the format of comics, with its sequential progression of panels. The superheroine stuff is less fascinating for me than a more straightforward damsel in distress. I haven't cared for the way the site does work in the comicbook format. Yah, Yahoo Groups suck, but they're free and they allow adult content. Show me a free webhost that does the same and I'll move there. I haven't heard back from her regarding a request I made, but Shade's been having a lot of computer and money problems and hasn't been on the net in the last few weeks.

Not to say it's bad, it's just not well made. The descriptions on the site are accurate. A woman is abducted off the street, taken to a lair where she is tortured with electric shock to confess she is a prostitute, then hanged to death. Sounds good to me. Except the way the action is covered is very pedestrian. Most of the shots are filmed from a distance away, basically cutting between two long shots, almost like a security camera. My biggest problem? Olivia Simon is a beautiful woman. Then why do the filmmakers only shoot her in close up just a handful of times, and then for only for a few seconds at most? The close ups in the production are used only as cutaways between two boring camera setups, where the viewer (well, me anyway) is practically screaming for someone to move the camera in. This is a sharp contrast to their earlier first tape that I reviewed last week and praised for the way they filmed much of the action in close up, where you were right in there watching her suffer.

My other problem was that this seemed really padded, even more so than the much longer, earlier tape. Or maybe it was just me getting impatient, waiting for the good stuff to happen. Ironically, about the only time we get a good look at Olivia is right at the very end, where they show numerous tight shots of her dead body, but by that time, I didn't really care. On the positive side, the hanging illusion in this one is even more convincingly shot than in Deadly Laundry. And this one is inexplicably spoken in English, which surprised me because the first tape was in some other language. I was under the impression that these were foreign tapes, but maybe not. At any rate, the elements for a good show are all here. It's the presentation that nearly sinks this one. My grade for Guilty: C+

Anyways, Their next release will probably be a more telling tale as to what direction they are heading. Ralphus, am curious as to your comment that it was in English. English with a heavy accent? If accented, would it have been better in their native tongue?

The dialogue wasn't a hindrance to the story, even if it was a somewhat farfetched concept (They are judging her and executing her to rid their town of prostitution. Hey, whatever reason works for you!). Would it have been better without the English? Well, watching foreign films where you can't understand the dialogue doesn't bother me as long as I can follow the gist of the story, and I had no trouble with their first one. This one wouldn't have been any better or worse had it been in another language.

BTW, this second Eyewitness tape is not bad. I would still recommend it. I gave it a C+, not exactly a failing grade here. I just thought the first one was much better, especially in comparison, because I really liked Deadly Laundry a lot. Others may like Guilty more than me. I've said before that my reviews are only my opinions, and not gospel. I'd hate to steer anyone away from a tape they were going to order just because I thought it could have been better.

Regarding Olivia being gone, I don't think so. The bran.jpg pictures that Howie was raving over on the Mike and Tom Yahoo site (link above) are actually Olivia Simon with a blonde wig, and she's in quite a few pictures.

I just posted a message to Tom and Mike over at the eyewitness web site in their forum concerning the amount of clothing on the models. Hopefully I'll get some kind of reply. Re: ZFX likes, dislikes - I like almost anything, have posted here many times before about what they are. I particulaly like sexual content, fetishy items (brightly colored ball gags or tape, e.g.), and strong, emphatic, no-kidding-around bondage (chains, big penis gags, etc.). ZFX usually satisfies. I don't like a lot of screaming, don't like the bloody scenes, and whip-by-the-numbers.

Which brings me to my number one pet peeve. Rick, please slow the fuck down! I just saw Dark Offerings for the first time. I loved the scene where the four guys tie the hot chick down to the table on her back, and strip her. She is beautiful, and the overwhelming nature of four guys and four limbs to tie was reminiscent for me of a gng-bang straight sex flick. I just love the idea of that total, overwhelming, overt domination. How can she possibly stop her bondage from happening when there are four guys, each with a hold of one of her limbs? But, because it went so fast, the scene avoided being a "classic" for me, and I really can only enjoy it in slow motion. My biggest ZFX pet peeve. Just once, Rick, can't the dominators in a scene take their time? Why can't the camera linger on and caress her as her leg is slowly pulled into its bond? And then, ever so slowly, the next slimb, etc.? Scenes like that one in Dark Offering have so much promise, but lack sufficient menace. Sorry if anyone disagrees, but that's my opinion.

Which leads me to the question: Rick, any boundary pushing for you, beyond where you have already gone? (and quite admirably). I've always wondered, if the test for lack of obscenity requires that a work have serious scientific, cultural, educational etc. value, then why don't porn producers make two hour tapes filled with an hour and a half of bondage plus sex, and a half hour of some scholarly panel debating society's taboos, how the bondage in the flik fits in culturally, etc. Viewers could edit out the scholarly stuff if they wished, but wouldn't the porn producer have the benefit of a defense against an obscenity charge by putting that stuff in, and then stretching the envelope way, way out?

For that matter, did anybody notice that in its kiddie poen decision last week, the Supreme Court said you can't censor a work merely because it might potentially lead to crimes?

The video format is the same but the production process is very different and DVDR is less compatible (though not much) than DVD ROM. The main issue is with older machines or drives. My guess is ya got a bad or blank disc:P(my apologies) We had a major issue with our initial disc supplier, basically his discs were not good, so we had to get a new supplier early in the run, so the first 300 discs may have some issues, though we tested every single one. But never underestimate the possibility of us sticking a blank in the wrong pile either.

The Tree Scene: There a strange story behind that scene, it never really got shot, though there is a bit more to it, but basically we shot it at this house on a lake and as we finished tying VV and started the scene, we noticed this boat circling out on the lake. Thinking it was a game warden, we had to untie VV and cover her naked bod. Turned out was a couple horny fisherman but by that time it was starting to rain. Was probably gonna be the last scene so we called it a day. We were really flushed because that day was like 110 and 99%, soon to be 100% humidity...

MAV: SOB2, SOB4 and Viral Load stomach punching, electro tort is like every movie....

Scott, for me, VV is THE zfx model of all time. She just looked stunning being ravished and played with...I have searched on search engines, asked in discussion boards as well as on this one about VV and I too have sadly not received any information. The information I did get a while ago i would rather not believe since it is a very unfortunate story,,so until it is confirmed, I'd rather not think about it. There is another one that says VV asked (or maybe not so much asked but used legal pressure) to not use her image any longer...only Rick knows... But go and collect Lois Payne, Guinea Pigs, Night Prowler (!!!), Spreadeagle, Jennnifer's Nightmares and enjoy and bask in the excellent work of Rick and one of his early subjects..VV!!! (Penelope, in my book is a close second or equal too! Now, there is a woman who exudes passion, eroticism and a deep sexuality in role-playing!). All the best everyone!!!
