good deepfake videos

Post by thx1139a »

Stumbled upon some interesting celebrity deepfake videos on Xhamster (have a look). They're about 95% convincing and are plenty good enough to view with interest (kind of like breast implants... you know they're not real but if decently done you can basically ignore that). If and when pure CGI gets that capable for someone with a PC to fabricate stuff... I'm in. :-)

Reminds me of that filter that was going around where you took a picture of yourself, and it would change you into the opposite sex.

I don't know...
With all the deep fakes I've seen, they have to tell you who it is before you watch, Then I say "Oh yeah, I see what you mean." Most of the time, if I hadn't have been told who it was, I'd never of guessed.

e.g. that Back to the Future one with Robert Downy Jr and Tom Holland... It looks like Doc and Marty if you squint. They have to choose very specific actors etc.

The Terminator 2 one with Stallone is creepy as hell. Stallone's skin wrapped over Arnold's face. Complete with Arnold's gap in the front teeth, and missing Stallone's droopy eye. Just looks soooo weird.

I don't watch Big Bang Theory, so don't really recognize her. It could be any of the generic porn starts they have these days.
Trust me, You'll like it... Eventually.

The main subject of this forum is "Girls In Merciless Peril"

As far as I'm concerned, videos of fake doubles playing with themselves or giving a man a handjob has nothing to do with the GIMP subject of this forum.

Is it only me who thinks that way?

My thought was that the technology could be used with GIMP video... replacing individuals with other rendered versions... such as those in the thread on those some would like to torture. The technology opens up options (not going to comment on the ethical and other issues...).

To be honest, I find it very frightening. I removed all pictures of myself online a few years ago other than my Facebook which is private to friends only.

On the other hand I would love to use the technology as you say, swapping Tay's face for a celeb etc (actually bad example, Tay is hot)

At a certain point in the future, deepfakes will be so common and convincing that you'll always be able to say that's not you. Even if it is. :-)

Most deepfakes I stumbled upon were poorly done. Some are quite good, though.
Here's Lynda Carter, for instance:
