Yep, someone said awhile back that even though she's otherwise unclothed, with shoes on she can never be totally helpless. Or something like that.

I can admire decent heels, but never the extreme pointed toe type of a few years back. That mess totally defined a (thankfully short) era. I call them witch shoes.

Personally I'm not a "strictly barefoot gimp" guy and think that wearing (very) high heels or (better) ballet training boots adds some pain, discomfort and feeling of unsecurity/vulnerability (unstability) for the GIMP. Ask any woman wearing high heels and she will confirm it's not pleasurable, rather a self-inflicted torture after a few hours. I would class them in the restrictive garment category (like corsets), revealing the naturally masochistic tendencies of (some) women. These are also good training devices, thus let's use them.
For instance, the already stressful position shown below is increased by the strict high heels ballet boots which are used here to add extra stress and make it more painful/difficult for the girl. It's an essential part of the set-up and it wouldn't look the same without them. This is a "Predicament/Stress" thread after all, thus don't make it too easy for the GIMP !
But each his own...
