One of the details I liked was that you wet her hair after awhile, to give the evidence of a long torture session.

I've bought a few videos from Electric City in the past, and I just decided to take a look at Captured by Russians IV. There have been a few comments/reviews of it, and of course a bunch of caps here and on the Gimp forum (and elsewhere, I'm sure.)

First comment: the actress, like almost all the women who appear in their productions, is very attractive. She performs electrotorture well (for my tastes), and either she's a hell of a screamer or they dubbed screams into the sound track.

Here's are the problems I had with the video, which is represented as having been shot with multiple cameras (to compete with Cruel World, I assume)

The video claims 30 minutes, and it costs 30 euros. You can pay via PayPal, and the delivery of the link is almost immediate.

The last 3 minutes, however, are multiple flashes of a variety of older videos and, it appears, some of their newer ones. And there's nearly a minute of text, disclaimers, etc. on the front end shown at a pace that's great if you have to sound out the words or want to read through it 3-4 times. So 26 minutes of the video.

In terms of what they actually shot of the victim, one seated topless in a chair (not apparently bound),some standing AOH in a longer shot and some closer up, I'm guessing it's maybe 7 minutes which is repeated (like their older videos) multiple times. She's worth repeating, but even she becomes a bit tiresome the second or third or fourth time you see a shot. This could have been a pretty good 10-12 minute video.

As to the multiple cameras: one shot shows her bound hands clawing as the power is turned in. I stopped counting how many times that short shot was repeated, but it was pretty much every time she was shocked in the first AOH setting (topless). Another shot shows the generator being turned on and turned up and suddenly glaring white in the gauge that is supposed to show, I guess, the voltage. Again, this is edited in literally almost every time the power is turned on. There is also a shot of a heavyset seated Russian (officer I assume) with a younger guy standing looking sorry for the girl. We watch them watching her on a monitor and the officer angrily says, "Why doesn't she talk?" or something like that, then we see the girl on the monitor. For some reason the guy running the generator suddenly gets up and walks out of the shot, then returns a few moments later. Maybe he had to pee or check the camera. One time was a minor puzzle. But that shot is repeated 3-4 times, making the repetition of clips quite obvious.

I expect to edit this down to just the girl being shocked, but it won't be very long--even with the repetition.

Here's a shocker (sorry): Her first torture is clamps on nipples and she's wearing pants (?). Apparently Russia's most brutal interrogator got so turned on by her breasts (which are worth it!) he forgot to finish stripping her. The main series of repetitions do have her nude, but either they don't have many electrode clamps or they forgot she had a pussy. There are 2-3 shots where the master torturer touches her pubis with something that apparently gives her a brief shock, but they never spread her legs, and they never torture her pussy. For those who are serious about electro-torture rules, the fact that all the shocks, with multiple times that the guy running the machine is told to turn up the voltage to high levels, are between her breasts, the question of how long her heart would last with the current crossing her chest requires willing suspension of disbelief.

Another tiring part of watching the film is her screaming. It's either dubbed in from an audio clip or she has exactly one response. There's no begging between or before shocks. There's no groaning or cursing. No tears. As mentioned in another review, they did wet her hair about halfway through, which was a nice touch, but the fact that it went back and forth between wet and dry during the repetitions kind of defeated the purpose.

My reaction to Electric City is that they have gotten better production equipment, and they still have kick-ass women, but they just don't seem to be able to produce a script that builds the action and there's no director who sees it as we do. Yes, this one has a few shots of "set-up" where we see the brave girl in uniform assuring her superiors that she can do the job, which I guess is supposed to make it a story. I guess it will be another couple years before I try them again.

Whoa Easy when you say (as we do) talk for you my friend. I honestly know the story of those guys and they are improving better and better. I personally love the works they are releasing recently. You probably don’t realize that the majority of film makers around here also repeat the scenes (check CW that you seem to sponsor very often) EC also work with AI and I know how hard is to get 1 minute of film, requires days and days of hard work plus writings on photoshops, after effect, premiere etc etc .. in my opinion they are the only producers to deliver excellent AI videos plus the recent mix of real shooting and AI gave a great result in my opinion. I honestly recommend their works.

Sorry, I wasn't aware that personal reviews were not acceptable. I assume, when I read your positive reviews of EC's works that those are your opinions. I didn't think I was talking for anyone else. I'm glad that you know the history of the guys at EC. I appreciate what they do as I do what Alex does, knowing his story. Both are trying to provide a service to those of us who like beautiful women being tortured and both are operating in very difficult conditions that have nothing to do with themselves.

I absolutely agree that CW does tend to replay scenes (though from different camera angles). As I wrote, I've purchased several EC videos over the years, as I purchased this one. When Alex does a video for me, I often send him comments or suggestions where I think he could have improved. So far he has never seemed to take it personally.

Since I didn't mention any political slogans or countries of origin, but they have appeared both here and on CruxForums in the responses I received, this is an issue that has little to do with a consumer of someone's product commenting (as you have on several occasions). I'll remember that next time.

I like EC but honestly if leaning heavily into AI is giving them issues with shooting the films… they just shouldn’t do it? It doesn’t add that much to the overall experience and in fact, for me, it tends to take away from it. You can always tell when a scene is AI and we’re not at the point yet where it measures up to the real thing. So why do it?

I tend to agree with pete that it gets tiresome how EC are blatantly dishonest about their products. If you say your video is 30 minutes of content, and then several of those minutes are previews of other videos, text on a screen, repeated shots again and again, etc., over here in the West we usually call that false advertising aka lying, and we’re not fans of it usually.

Not to sound overly harsh. EC makes some good stuff in my opinion. Which is exactly why I’m annoyed at their business decisions (charging money for motherfucking previews on DeviantArt when the same preview is free elsewhere, wtf?) because they’re a bit slimy when they absolutely DO NOT HAVE TO BE. The work is good. Let it speak for itself without being dishonest about it ffs.

Anyway, I hope they do continue to improve. I’ve bought a half dozen or so movies from them and haven’t really regretted one yet.
