I'm really pissed off.
I typed a really long response to this post. Took me like an hour and a half (I'm slow), and when I went to post I found out I wasn't signed in when the sign in page popped up. I clicked it and signed in, but my entire response I wrote just disappeared. If the site is going to tell me to sign in, do it BEFORE I type a reply to a post please.
I may try to redo this reply tomorrow... maybe.
Take it easy, there, it's a free site. We anxiously await your incisive remarks. HE.HE. ....

EDIT: I just found there's a "Save Draft" button at the bottom of the message board (in "Full Editor" mode). I never used this feature but if it works as it should by clicking on it your text will be saved on the site even if you unlog/relog and you can retrieve it later. Then all you need to do is to click on "Save Draft" after every 5 (or ten,...) lines of typed text and you should be OK if anything wrong happens. Worth a try.

That original post was by me, and not hornythumb, and since thinking about it I'm glad I didn't post it. It was mainly complaining about bdsm realted stuff I don't like, and I usually try not to do that. Something that isn't my preference is very likely someone elses favorite subject, and I should respect that and not complain about it. There's plenty of material on the net that does turn me on anyway. So I'm good.
That said, I'll leave one last request in hopes someone will hear my plea..... Please, no high heel shoes in a dungeon.

While we're at it...no high heeled shoes, boots...anything.
Anywhere, in a supposedly harsh bondage environment.
EVER!

Err, I meant on the GIMP, of course.
I didn't think I was old enough to be a curmedgeon.

This happened to me many times on various forums and for various (sometimes unknow) reasons. Very frustrating, I agree.
To avoid this situation, now every time I type a long text in a forum I use the " COPY and PASTE" function to save the text (select the text using the mouse left button, then confirm "COPY" with the right button). Then, if for any reasons your text is lost there's no need retyping it, just click on PASTE (mouse right button) and your original text will be back ! But remember it's stored in a clipboard, meaning the data is lost if you shut down your computer or overwrite the data by another COPY. If you want to keep the data for later use better to store it in a (permanent) dedicated file. Or you might also type in your text editor (Word or similar), then Copy & Paste in the forum . It's the fastest and most secure method for long texts.
I tend to use the opposite technique for long text in general (i.e. not only for this forum).
I type the text in Word and save it as a Word document. Makes it easy to modify, add more text, check for typos and so on before posting it.
It's not "opposite" (see my last sentence in my post above) and the way I'm doing it too for long texts.

You're right. Sorry, seems like I overlooked the last sentence.

Thanks for the tip about copy and paste. I'll give that a try next time.
Honestly, I try to stick to a few sentences entered from notebook or pecked in from phone. With some exceptions, one has to wonder about the size of audience for long manifestos.
But sometimes a guy (or female gimper) just needs to let it all hang out, after, say, getting quelling a gimp rebellion in the harem or getting skunked on a slave safari at the mall.
